>> Skylar (00:15):
M last time on Hunter's haven. Trick
or treat, fight or flee.
>> Cameron (00:20):
You are going to see just a
dilapidated old. What would probably be
considered now a living room. And what
you see with your mixed
success, hm. is going to be
footprints going up the stairs. Maya,
you see a book. Looks like. Almost like a
scrapbook. So in this scrapbook, as you go through
(00:42):
it, you're gonna find, like, clippings from the
newspaper of scary things that have been
happening in the community. All of them are centered
around this house, the McGovern house. You find
some information about who Mister McGovern
was. He was a famous, I guess, philanthropists in
the community. Well, known for loving the holidays
and loving, you know, doing nice things for the children around the community
(01:04):
until he dies in tragic
circumstances. A sharp breeze
blows in through and opens the door to
whatever this room is. Further into the house.
It slams a shred. It's kind of that wind effect of
slams. Slam.
Once again, these modern day animatronics
doing wonders. Follow my light. He just
(01:25):
leads the way into the room with his sword and shield
in front of him.
Cause you're leading the way with your, you know, sort of sword of the spirit.
Sword of the spirit and the shield of faith.
Something flies at you out of the deer. And
you hear that shrieking noise you heard, but it's
a lot louder this time.
Oh, gosh.
And you see this just glowing, ghostly thing flying
(01:46):
at you. It hits you. It hits you square in the face.
So I will use my oops.
Ability.
You're literally going to trip and
fall, and you're gonna land face to
face with a teddy bear.
She, like, starts to examine it.
All you notice on the bottom is the name Rosie. All of a
(02:06):
sudden, you hear the windows start rattling
in a scream.
Someone's in danger.
I've run into the room. All right. You find yourself in
a child's playroom.
Maya, where's Ella? Oh, she's gone again.
Ella.
I start walking out of the room.
Oh, wait for me.
>> Mikayla (02:24):
I guess I'll follow you.
>> Skylar (02:25):
Okay.
>> Cameron (02:25):
Okay.
So you're gonna. You rolled a nine?
Yes, a nine.
Okay. In this room, you,
see, this is what appears to be
child's, a child's bedroom, right? They have the playroom, and
(02:46):
then they have a bedroom, as one does in this time. So you can
infer that maybe there's just the one kid, the one girl that you saw.
You, see a ladder going
up, probably, you could presume to the attic the
same as the other one would be. This, appears to be,
again, relatively recently
opened. there's. Dust has been kind of disturbed.
(03:07):
you could infer that those footprints coming upstairs have
come into this room. other than that, nothing
notable. There's a bed, there's no pictures. There's.
Yeah, nothing that you would consider to be of, you know, of
note.
Well, that's peculiar.
So your question here is really no
question. You have one place to go. You have, you know, you need to find a
key and you see a place to narratively keep going up.
(03:30):
Nowhere to go but up. let's do it.
Who's taking the lead? Ella?
Yeah, what's up?
Oh, pig. My head into the door.
Yeah, I'm going up this ladder.
Oh, great idea. The, only way to find knowledge is
up. Okay.
Yeah.
Why'd I say just the
truth?
So you all. Are you all going up the ladder?
>> Skylar (03:51):
I don't want to go last.
>> Mikayla (03:52):
I will go last.
>> Skylar (03:53):
Okay, that's perfect.
>> Cameron (03:54):
Well, Ellie, you're already there. Lead the way.
Yeah, I also don't want to go.
Just to clarify, I've, like, been here.
Yeah.
Where have you guys been?
Trying to find the way up the track, but it looks like you found another
way up. This is perfect.
Okay, Ella's already up there. when you get up there,
it's your standard, like, old, old style
house. Like, you. You guys can also. I mean, you're kids, right?
(04:15):
You're not full grown. Probably, what, below
5ft tall? Yeah, I mean, you're probably relatively
okay. I don't think any of you really have to duck. any of you wearing costumes that
are you. You probably need to make sure you don't get snagged on stuff. Yeah,
it's like, the crowd, probably, like, freaks you out a little bit.
You see some boxes in front of
you. that, again, appear to have been walked up
(04:36):
towards, like, you see some dust that's been
disturbed. What do you want to do?
Let's try those boxes.
I'll shine my light towards them and I'll
going to open them.
>> Skylar (04:47):
Point my nerf gun in that direction just in
case something pops out.
>> Cameron (04:51):
All right, so I'm assuming you want to investigate. Who wants to roll the investigate? I mean, you're
in the front, so I assume this would kind of be your taking
your lead. Huzzah.
Nine.
Okay. Hey, with a nine, you are going to
find at the bottom of this box,
you find, what appears to be a
diary. Sorry, I gotta make sure.
>> Skylar (05:10):
I. Dang it.
I could have saved that bit for the diary.
A diary in the Adam diary in the third
person. I don't know if that would have made sense.
>> Cameron (05:19):
As you are looking at it, as you're reaching and
you're, like, half in this box. This isn't even a box. It's like an old truck,
almost like, you know, one of those old, like, toy trunks, you
know, you. And I'm assuming everyone else is
kind of gathering around you because you said, hey, look what I found.
you are going to.
You know, there's. Again, there's. The only light is the lightsaber in your
(05:40):
light behind you. You hear the
step lightning up and latching.
The one we just came up.
The one you just came up.
>> Skylar (05:48):
I spin around and I point my nerf gun over there.
>> Cameron (05:51):
What was that?
What was that? Well, you can't see anything. There's no light over there.
>> Skylar (05:54):
I know.
>> Cameron (05:55):
That's.
Why was that? What was that?
Oh, that's not good. Oh, by the way, I didn't see.
what's in the.
Just so you know, there was, like, a picture of a
guy.
Oh, let me take a look.
And his. I guess I hand him the picture.
Oh, look at that. And by the american gothic.
And the, the little girl in that picture. I I don't
know, but I think I saw
her.
What?
(06:15):
I think her name's Rosie. Or maybe this bear's name
is Rosie.
Oh.
But I think.
I. I don't think it was a ghost, but
she did kind of faces theft. It could
have been. It could have been the old
mirror trick.
I didn't know they had employees working this hot mirror trick.
The, mirror trick. Can you describe the mirror trick that you,
(06:36):
It was even in an episode of the magic school
bus.
>> Skylar (06:39):
Where'd you say, scooby Doo?
>> Cameron (06:41):
doo. God, I can't remember what it was, but
you shine a light on someone, on a mirror that
bounces to another mirror, and it basically makes someone
look like they're a ghost.
Oh, yeah.
Because the light in the reflection.
I can't, believe you.
I trust you. So you found a book. Who's
gonna read into the book? I
(07:02):
would like to read Pepper's ghost. Okay.
Okay. Well, both of you guys are into this thing, so, like, I'm
assuming you guys are gonna get into it. I'm gonna let both of you
guys roll. Whatever you want to roll.
So I just take the book out of my hands?
Yeah. And the candle and the couch.
>> Skylar (07:19):
I have an ability that's lore library. And it says, when you
hit the books, take plus one forward to investigate the mystery. It's
part of my haven, but I'm guessing that because we're not.
>> Cameron (07:27):
Yeah.
>> Skylar (07:28):
In a situation yet.
>> Cameron (07:29):
So rule for it. Like, rule for, like, prior knowledge.
Basically. Basically you're trying to say, what am I gonna
get out of this? Right?
>> Skylar (07:36):
And this is sharp, right?
>> Cameron (07:38):
Yeah. You'll remind me where I. Yeah, you're not gonna get anything.
>> Skylar (07:41):
I was gonna say three, four, five.
>> Cameron (07:42):
You actually dropped the book.
>> Skylar (07:43):
I was close. Oops, sorry.
>> Cameron (07:45):
You have a plus.
>> Skylar (07:46):
Yeah, I have a plus two in chart then five. Yeah,
total five.
>> Cameron (07:49):
Yeah. So.
>> Skylar (07:50):
Yeah, well, technically six, because I'd get the plus one from lore
library.
>> Cameron (07:54):
But I digress. You kind of lost the plot on.
Yeah, you dropped the book. I'm assuming Maya is a little
bit annoyed. Like, just let me do my thing. I already found the other book.
>> Skylar (08:02):
Right.
>> Cameron (08:02):
I already found the scrapbook. So using
what you already know from the scrapbook I'm going to give
you, I don't want. Let's call it advantage. This isn't usually a
thing you do, but you already have a prior knowledge of some of the things
this family is probably going to talk about. So if you want to skim
this book to see if you can find any information that would tell you what it is and
maybe connect some dots for you, you can do that.
(08:23):
So roll two dice twice and take the higher of the
two. Roll. Yeah, roll both. Roll them
twice. Roll twice. What do you get?
>> Mikayla (08:31):
Four.
>> Cameron (08:32):
Roll again.
>> Mikayla (08:34):
Twelve.
>> Cameron (08:35):
Okay. Wow. So you're probably gonna keep your twelve. Yes.
So on your just hitting it big.
You realize this is a
diary. of the little girl.
this is Rosie's diary. you were
right. Rosie is the name. that is the name of the
girl, not of the doll.
She'll just say like, it's Rosie's diary. I'll chime in from the side.
(08:56):
That's the name on the bear.
I'm gonna give you that one. That's so loud.
Owl jeez.
I'm gonna give you that one for free. There's a dot you can connect.
Toy belongs to Rosie. so in this,
you're gonna find a little bit of information about the little girl.
Ah. Rosie's father
was, the McGovern, that owned the house.
He was in charge of putting on the, Halloween
(09:18):
festival for the town. You know, back in the
before yous, he
was again famous for philanthropy and,
you know, the cheer and love of the holidays and of a
little bit of mischief and you know, light hearted scaring
of children. He was just that guy. He's that guy in the town, right? Well
respected, well loved. never made someone do a trick. It was always
(09:38):
treats, you know, that kind of guy. M. then he
died while putting decor. And again, this is back
in, like, the fifties, you know,
probably the earlier first generation of, like, let's decorate for
this holiday. You know, the war is over. We don't have to be scared.
Right.
and, you know, he was well known as being the first person to decorate
and do a haunted house. And that, you know, they would haunt the little
(09:59):
area around their house. And it was well known for being spooky,
and he actually died in that process.
that that was. That was it. So as
you read this, you realize pretty
quickly that Halloween's what
killed him, if you want to think about it that way. Right? This was. This man
was a victim of. And you can tell from the little girl that
(10:19):
there was definitely some resentment of that.
She went from being, you know, a couple entries of
Halloween's coming. It's my favorite holiday to,
I will never. I will never celebrate this holiday again. You
know, this holiday took the most. Maybe she didn't like her mom much. Maybe
her mom was a little more severe and against,
the ridiculousness of the holiday.
So making those connections here.
(10:42):
You found out that the daughter resents the
holiday. You found out that the daughter is Rosie. You found out
that the, holiday isn't really
popular in this family anymore after old man McGovern
died. So you now are
upstairs in the attic, in that trunk, you have found
a diary. Inside of the diary as a paper, as a
(11:02):
bookmark for that page, the section you found on the family history
is this key. You have found the key. You have what
you assume would be the ability to go into that room.
If we could get.
If you now have to find your way out of it. So you are
a bunch of young, intrepid sleuths. You know there is
at least two exits from this room. You know one of them
has been slammed behind you, but you
(11:24):
also know there's another one somewhere that must open from the top
because it doesn't open from the bottom.
>> Skylar (11:28):
No, I thought you were gonna say. And then there's the window that just drops.
>> Cameron (11:31):
And then you can throw 20ft to the ground.
The most expensive.
Ella, while we're, while they're reading that book, how about you trying to find
a way down?
Okay?
Do we want to go the way we came or. There's the alternate
exit.
>> Mikayla (11:44):
I can investigate a mystery.
Aka the room.
>> Cameron (11:48):
Yes.
>> Mikayla (11:49):
To try and find you can't.
>> Cameron (11:51):
I would say you might want to consider, while they're
doing that, you may want to consider your. Well, we kind of just did your connect the dots.
I kind of gave that to you without you asking for it. let's. I
think one of you will have a move that will kind of help you with that.
If I recall, I would look through your sheets really quick, and let's see if we can't give
you your quote unquote special moment.
Oh, can I use panic button?
Yeah. for the crowd at home. Read that to
(12:12):
us.
When you need to escape, name the route you'll try and roll.
Plus sharp. On a ten, you're out of danger. No problem. On
seven to nine, you can go or stay. But if you
go, it's going to cost you. You leave something behind,
or something comes with you. On a miss, you are caught
halfway out of.
You know what? I'm gonna have fun with this, no matter what.
>> Skylar (12:31):
That would be all right.
>> Cameron (12:32):
So you tell me how you're breaking out. Consider
this a partner thing. You get to use him as a prop
if you want to.
I will go.
I am your light. My light's your way.
I will take Alex and just kind
of, you know, play into, you know, he's the
big, brave man, and I just have the light source, and I just
have the idea. Cause he asked me for the idea, and we are
(12:54):
going to look for that ladder thing
together. And if we find it,
my idea is to make
Alex basically jump on it
to try and dislodge the
ladder.
>> Skylar (13:08):
He's wearing armor.
>> Cameron (13:09):
He's got armor. Is that how you sell it to him?
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's like, hey, Alex, I'm too scared to do it.
Wait a second.
I'm gonna actually have you roll charm, and if. If you hit
it, he'll do without even worrying about it.
Eight.
That's your plus, including your plus charm. Well, that's that.
I have a zero charge.
Yes. So you have to convince him. You have to give him
(13:29):
a really convincing reason why he's not gonna get hurt,
Alex. And he has to be the one that tells you it's convincing.
You've got the chest plate.
You've got the armor of God.
You've got all this protection. You're the
only one who can
survive this fall. If you fall.
What?
What?
(13:49):
I just climbed down the ladder.
Well, yeah, but if it dislodges, you.
Know, it's not real armor, right?
No, that's real cheap.
>> Mikayla (13:59):
The armor of God is real.
>> Cameron (14:00):
Only armor I've got is real. Thank you, Maya. But, we're talking
about Maya costume.
but I'm sure if you. You need me. What, knock this
or something?
Yeah, I start, like, slamming my.
>> Skylar (14:13):
I have something.
>> Cameron (14:13):
Oh, snake eyes.
So you failed. You failed your,
Do I need to roll you? Just. No, no, this is you.
He rolled a charm to convince you. Yeah,
that was eight.
So you.
Yeah, so he starts kicking, which is assuming what he.
That was the panic button roll on a miss,
you are caught halfway out.
(14:34):
Yeah. So I'm gonna assume that that's actually a. Transitive properties to him
because you got him to do it. I guess. Yeah.
So basically what this means is
you're the. You know, this is a ladder.
Like, coming up, going down.
You, have gotten towards the middle ground of it, and you just
start jumping. Stomp, stomp, stomp. Well, it goes.
Your feet are now caught in it. You go head first.
(14:57):
And you are caught with your feet in
the rungs, looking straight, going straight
down, coming from here, all the way down,
upside down, swinging in. And I'm
going to have you roll three
dice. You are going to roll for
an, Let's call it invest. Like, really a bad
situation. You can use. You can substitute for another roll if you have something you would
(15:19):
do under. Under, you know, duress. Roll three. Take your
bottom two. So you've rolled a three
plus whatever your sharp is. Four.
So you have a four. You, don't see anything important?
Well, that's because I hit my head a little harder.
I did it.
I am dangling upside down from this ladder. I'm like,
ah. Emma. Ella. I, appear
(15:41):
to have found, myself in a precarious situation right
here. I need some assistance.
I have dropped my saber.
>> Skylar (15:48):
Oh. Ella, grab one arm and I'll grab the
other one.
>> Cameron (15:52):
You can pull him up or you can push.
Why don't we push him down that way? We're out of the
attic.
>> Skylar (15:57):
Let's. You take the ladder.
>> Cameron (16:00):
He's gonna hurt himself.
He's got armor.
Let me. Let me just rearrange myself here. And I start to
try, like, turn my body so I can, like, kind of, like,
earth crawl my way down the ladder. Instead
of going down on my back.
I can go down on my side. That's gonna be a tough,
It's bro plus tough.
>> Skylar (16:16):
That's exactly why I was saying six.
>> Cameron (16:19):
Hey, six plus, what's your tough?
Nothing.
Nothing. So, like, yeah, you fall, but, like, probably
make it look kind of what your version of brave would look
like.
What's my version of brave?
Whatever your version of it is very close.
Well, it's not brave. It's very clumsy. As I'm trying to turn,
I dislodge my feet mid turn. Like, trying to
turn, but instead of me turning while
keeping my hold, I lose my hold and I mel just go and
(16:42):
I go down sideways. I go down my side, and I think I,
like, crash right into the wall.
Okay, take two, harm. Hey, is that your
first time taking harm? Nope.
>> Skylar (16:50):
No.
>> Cameron (16:51):
Second time.
So what do you have for harm?
A, three.
Wow.
Okay. If you get one more, you're on the
road to,
Okay. Oh, look, guys, I found my
sort of spirit.
Yeah. In the family friendly version of
this, you're at the point of not feeling
very,
I think I'm gonna be out for concussion protocol.
(17:14):
Guys, the way's clear.
Let's be honest. Your dad probably doesn't believe that's real.
This is the early two thousands.
Concussions aren't a real thing.
Keep calling him.
so, you're down. Does everyone else fall? Yes.
Well, since you guys can see it, obviously it's the
letter.
Appropriately, please, guys.
(17:35):
so you have a key, you have some information.
Oh, guys, look at that. My helmet is completely
shattered.
>> Skylar (17:42):
Oh, dude, you broke your helmet.
>> Cameron (17:43):
Yeah, I think it actually. Ah.
Saves the fall.
This is why my parents told me they were always wearing your helmet when you go
biking.
I guess that probably is actually very
accurate.
>> Skylar (17:54):
It's also why they're only meant for, like, one time use.
>> Cameron (17:57):
Well, you know what? One time, one and nine, and I
toss it onto the.
Actually, you know what? You're right, because you had the helmet. Take one of your arm away.
Okay.
Yeah, because I didn't even think about that. You had the helmet. You had the helmet. Which
would have prevented half of that damage.
>> Skylar (18:08):
He was very adamant about keeping it on, too.
>> Cameron (18:10):
Yeah, because I lost it earlier and.
I had to go.
I apologize. I didn't even think about it. so again, you now have
a key. You have one room left. You have a slightly
less concussed.
I'm still woozy. All right,
guys, did we find the, any way to get into
that final room?
>> Skylar (18:28):
Yep. We have the key, don't we?
>> Cameron (18:30):
I didn't know that.
>> Skylar (18:30):
It was in the book.
>> Cameron (18:32):
Yeah, see, I.
Who's got the key?
Everything I do, everything that happened in the attic, I
forgot about. It's totally gone.
Did you? One could ask question if you guys even know about the
book yet, because the light went out, y'all got. You two started
stomping around. You guys found the book, right?
>> Skylar (18:48):
Yeah, we found a diary.
>> Cameron (18:49):
Oh, in the attic.
>> Skylar (18:50):
Yeah, it's diary of
Jane.
Sorry, that was. I was trying to make.
>> Cameron (18:57):
I don't even think that song jokes.
So you could probably infer. By the way, this is Rosie
McGovern, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, what about if I said her
last name, but the McGovern fan.
Oh, what? Her diary thing?
>> Mikayla (19:09):
basically she's mister McGovern's
daughter. He died trying to make a
haunted house around Halloween, so now
she basically hates Halloween. That's just.
>> Skylar (19:22):
Yeah, I'm pretty sure at the
very end of it, it said
that I can live without you, but
without you.
I'll be miserable at best.
>> Cameron (19:32):
Modern poet.
That actually seems like it would fit about a little girl talking about her dad.
Yeah, that might be the first topical.
>> Skylar (19:38):
Mayday parade is pretty good about making them sound
so sound like a girl with a dead dad, huh?
>> Cameron (19:43):
We found ourselves a modern day poet.
All right, everybody, let's make sure that that band finds this podcast. And here's
that point of them, because.
>> Skylar (19:49):
I think they'll sue us.
>> Cameron (19:51):
No, I think Mayday Parade should put us on
our music. Sounds like you'd think after your dad died.
>> Skylar (19:58):
That's right.
>> Cameron (19:59):
Who's gonna put in the key then?
>> Mikayla (20:01):
I will.
>> Cameron (20:02):
Okay.
>> Skylar (20:03):
I'll be ready with my nerf gun.
>> Cameron (20:04):
Okay. Is there anything else you want to do while you do it?
>> Skylar (20:07):
Is.
>> Cameron (20:07):
Is there any other special moves? Is there any else, anything
specific you want to do where you just want to open the door?
I prepare myself with a teddy bear.
My shield is up.
>> Skylar (20:15):
I have my gun at the ready for a
precise strike, if that's
necessary.
>> Cameron (20:21):
Okay, what do you do? Are you going to
open it?
>> Mikayla (20:24):
Open it.
>> Cameron (20:25):
Okay.
You open the door and immediately
something comes flying out of you.
This is not a little spirit, a.
>> Skylar (20:34):
Bat of a big bat, a big spirit.
>> Cameron (20:37):
This is a, what would appear to be a
full sized, to you,
gigantic person because you know, your kids. Yeah, this
is, you know, it's a full sheet. it's a big old ghost
looking thing in it. All you hear is,
again, you have the same kind of ghostly light and you
hear, get out of my house
and just screaming it again, being loud.
>> Skylar (20:59):
Yeah.
>> Cameron (21:00):
but it is. This is full on, you
know, ghost shrieking, thing
flying adjacent to you. Not flying into you, but flying,
like floating in front of you get out of
here.
>> Skylar (21:13):
I hold up the
gun and I say,
I'll be your number one with a bullet.
>> Cameron (21:22):
A loaded, God complex concrete
bullet. And I.
>> Skylar (21:25):
And I pull the trigger. That's another
fallout boy.
>> Cameron (21:29):
So I'm gonna need you to roll. Kick, smash.
>> Skylar (21:35):
You said tough.
>> Cameron (21:36):
Yeah.
>> Skylar (21:36):
Oof. That's just a raw six.
>> Cameron (21:39):
And then what was it? What was your move?
>> Skylar (21:41):
so it's precise strike. When you inflict a harm on
a monster, you can aim for a weak spot. Roll plus tough. on a ten.
Plus you inflict two harm. On a seven, nine. You inflict one harm. On a miss,
you leave yourself open to the monster.
>> Cameron (21:51):
Okay, I'm gonna have you roll again. Okay, let's roll. Just
roll for that specific. So that's
gonna be five. plus, man, my rolls have been terrible.
Okay, so you miss, and as you
miss, off to the side again. Doesn't
even touch this thing. you,
like, slip, like you. You, like,
(22:13):
fall over, and you are on your back, looking up at
this thing. Looking at this thing billowing in the wind.
>> Skylar (22:18):
Oh, my gosh.
>> Cameron (22:20):
Questioning there. What do the rest of you do?
We have the sword of the lord. We
have, And then the two of you, I don't think have much,
marshal, but, you know, I have a teddy bear. You have a teddy
bear. and then I guess a big old heavy key.
But that's probably in the door. Or you have the diary.
I'll walk in the door.
Okay, so between the three of you, who wants to go next?
>> Mikayla (22:39):
Wait. I want to use my move.
Often overlooked. Okay, so when this thing's coming
out. So basically, that move is when you
act all crazy to avoid something real weird. On ten.
Plus, you regard it as unthreatening and unimportant on
seven to nine. Pick one. Unthreatening or
unimportant.
>> Cameron (22:57):
Okay, what do you do to look unimportant here? To look weird?
>> Mikayla (23:00):
To look weird. I'm acting all crazy, so this thing is
flying at me, and I'm just basically doing a
crazy dance, flailing my arms, kicking my
legs.
>> Cameron (23:09):
With a swim cap, half on your hair and dress.
>> Skylar (23:12):
You try to, like, do, like, the jurassic park where the guy's trying to get
the T Rex's attention and he's got the flares.
>> Mikayla (23:17):
He's like, over here. Yeah, like, I'm just being
overdramatic in my,
performance. Performance to try and get away from whatever this
thing is flying at me.
>> Cameron (23:27):
Roll plus weird. What's your weird score?
>> Mikayla (23:29):
plus two.
>> Skylar (23:30):
Okay, that's our strong.
>> Cameron (23:32):
.9
okay. And remind me what you get for nine.
>> Mikayla (23:37):
So I get to pick one. I can become unthreatening or
unimportant. so
I want to be probably
unimportant so this thing doesn't think that it needs to come after
me.
>> Cameron (23:49):
Okay, so you're just getting yourself. You tell me
what is unimportant when it comes to this thing is
flying. At least appears to be flying at you guys.
You know, it is flying adjacent to you guys. What do you
do to get out of the. Get out of the line of
sight, get out of being important?
>> Mikayla (24:06):
I probably just make myself pretty small, less
noticeable. Kind of hide in the shadows
like a naked moran.
>> Cameron (24:14):
Literally do a naked robot.
Somebody reads.
>> Skylar (24:23):
Pretend to be in naked rock.
>> Cameron (24:25):
And does that provide any advantages going forward or is that just. It's
not gonna come hit you.
>> Mikayla (24:29):
It's just not. It's overlooking me, basically.
>> Cameron (24:32):
All right, that leaves you too.
I'm walking in the door.
Ella, this, Ah.
Oh, we have to play along with the actor. you gotta give her the
bear. And, we gotta tell her how much we hate Halloween
too.
But I didn't mind Halloween too. Mike Myers was
inspired in that movie.
Okay, maybe the.
You just started cackling like you're on the floor and you
(24:54):
just. That was a good movie.
Okay, that might be true, but clearly
this lady hasn't seen Halloween with Mike Myers.
She's seen her. She's seen her. Thank
you.
she's saying, can we.
She's seen her poor daddy to be.
I told you to leave.
We will leave one moment, lady. Anyways, she
(25:16):
thought our poor daddy to be die on this terrible
day.
Daddy, this generate.
>> Mikayla (25:20):
Get out of my house.
>> Cameron (25:22):
All right, thank you. Daddy. That was.
This is the dad, is it not? Is it the
girl?
Ask her. Are you the dad or Rosie?
I'm asking the ghost, are you a dad?
And it just billows and it's very aggressive. You do something
or you think, this thing's coming out.
(25:43):
I'm holding up my sword at it and I say,
back off. Back off. Spirit of the Lord, defend me.
(26:07):
In an almost, like irritated way. It's going
to swat up the sword. I'm going to need you to roll whatever your plus tuff
is. that's going to be a plus. Whatever you roll. Plus one
plus.
Can I counter one of my abilities?
Yeah, absolutely.
Which is called smite, which is my body imbues
with divine weaponry.
>> Skylar (26:25):
It's happening. The sword of the
spirit and it.
>> Cameron (26:30):
Doesn'T even say if the hit.
It just says my body and
divine weapons is a weakness to the monster I am
fighting. So if it tries to hit my thing
when it get hit by, I. Divine.
You have divine smite. Where's this one? On the divine?
Yeah, smite.
Smite, right there.
Always count as a weakness against a monster fight. That means
that it says my unarmed attacks.
(26:51):
But in this case, would you recount my.
Yeah, obviously. So that means you have to roll
your unarmed attack. Plus sharp. That means the same as seven to
nine and ten.
Plus seven.
Okay, so you smack it in
the. Like it's hand. Well, I'm just like, defending myself.
So as it comes through and the reef is like, hitting
it, and it's like one of the weirdest.
(27:13):
It does not look like a natural sword swing. I'm just, like,
flicking at it, like, you hear.
So as you do that, like, again, you're hitting a ghost with a plastic
sword. You hear, like. And you hear
just a little.
You've made contact. You've done to harm something.
You hear a crunching noise.
(27:34):
This gus doesn't seem to be asking.
Back off, back off. We just wanted to celebrate the spooky
holiday, like you, good sir.
Both of you assume gender.
I mean, she's a skeptic. She doesn't think it's a ghost. So
I want to ask him questions. I want to.
(27:55):
I don't know if it wants to answer questions, but you can. You can
try whatever you want.
Can I roll with cool? Act under pressure.
Okay. So very specifically, you're trying to do
what? Well, I want the pressure.
I just want to ask, like, why are
you yelling?
You're gonna have to actually roll charm because you're trying to manipulate it. You're
trying to get this thing to say something you like. You're trying to get it to
(28:16):
talk to you when it obviously wants to scare you.
Yeah.
So you've got to manipulate it into doing.
I'm just gonna yell. Why are you yelling so
loud?
Okay, roll, roll. Plus strength.
Eleven.
I could have asked a way better question,
but it's funny because that's the best question. Just think about this, though. You're
a child.
(28:36):
Where are we all?
Shout. Set
the tone. Right. This doofus just fell
over, is currently rolling around on the floor like
a.
>> Skylar (28:45):
Crow trying to get away.
>> Cameron (28:47):
The naked roll red balled into herself and is now
hiding in the corner. You
smacked in the hand with a plastic
lightsaber, and then you scream. Why are you
yelling so loudly? Why are you yelling?
>> Mikayla (29:01):
Cause you're in my house late.
>> Cameron (29:04):
This is getting a distinctly more shrill. The voice has gone
from ethereal to.
Yeah, do you want, like, can I check out this
room? Are you a pepper's ghost?
>> Mikayla (29:17):
Do you live here?
>> Cameron (29:19):
Do you.
>> Mikayla (29:20):
I said it's my house.
>> Cameron (29:22):
Oh, yeah.
Wait. Who are you? Who the heck are you?
>> Mikayla (29:26):
Does it matter to you?
>> Cameron (29:27):
Yes, it matters. We're trying to come to the conclusion of
this haunted house.
Are you old man McGovern? No, it's. Now it's
pissed. Like cringing on the hand a little bit. It's like.
Like favoring this hand a little bit on the one side that you hit with
a lightsaber. and it's, I
want you out of my house.
>> Skylar (29:48):
I I don't know you ages.
>> Mikayla (29:50):
You broke into my.
>> Cameron (29:51):
Does it try to attack Ella?
Is it.
>> Skylar (29:53):
Yeah, I was gonna say, is it trying to attack anybody?
>> Cameron (29:55):
You know, you'll notice it hasn't swung on anybody. It hasn't.
Except for my weapon.
It was like, get out of here. And then you hit it in the.
>> Skylar (30:02):
Hand, I think, from the floor. I
see when, when Alex hits it in the
hand. And so I pull the
little trigger thing back on the nerf
gun, and I try to take another shot. But I'm feeling a little more confident
at this point. I'm gonna use. Can I use home theater,
which you wrote in here?
>> Cameron (30:20):
Yep.
>> Skylar (30:21):
So, I have every horror movie
ever made. So I get plus one to a familiar action.
Any familiar action once per encounter. I imagine
that James has messed around with a nerf
gun quite a bit.
>> Cameron (30:33):
Yeah. It's that iconic moment where someone that's injured shoots
the bad guy.
>> Mikayla (30:37):
Yeah.
>> Skylar (30:37):
Yeah, exactly.
>> Cameron (30:38):
During the evil monologue.
>> Skylar (30:39):
And as I'm on there on the ground, I'm like,
I never meant to brag, but I got him where I
want him now. And I take the shot. That's paramore.
Four guys. Seven, eight. And
then. Plus.
>> Cameron (30:52):
No, maybe. Plus.
>> Skylar (30:53):
Plus tuff, right? Yeah, plus, which is zero. But that's still an eight.
>> Cameron (30:56):
So.
An eight. It wings off into the.
Into, like, where, like, the head of the spirit would be,
which you don't really see. Cause it's like this, and it just.
And it just sticks there.
>> Skylar (31:09):
Yeah. So a suction cup nerf gun.
>> Cameron (31:10):
Yeah, it just sits there. So you. And I was speaking to. It's
just like, can I.
Like, I found another lyric that might help. So I wanted to,
like, shout something at Jane.
Give me 1 second. Let's let you take your move, because all you have done
is really would go shot it. Yeah. You now have. You were in the middle of the
room. No one's paying attention to you because you were harmless.
>> Mikayla (31:28):
Okay. So why they're having their. They had their whole
conversation with her.
>> Cameron (31:32):
Yes.
>> Mikayla (31:33):
Him really shaking.
read a bad situation to try and figure
out if there's anything else
going on with this so called ghost. Cause I'm still not
convinced it's a.
>> Cameron (31:47):
Ghost because you're looking at it from behind or underneath.
It's not facing towards you.
>> Skylar (31:51):
Yeah.
>> Mikayla (31:51):
So is there something that is giving
it this glow or.
>> Cameron (31:56):
Yep. Absolutely.
>> Mikayla (31:57):
Or whatever.
Nine.
>> Cameron (32:00):
So you got a nine. Okay. so
you can't see where
specifically, but you can see that. That glowing,
that glow effect is maybe happening from underneath,
pointing up. Like, if, like, if you've ever seen a
flashlight underneath something, you can see what direction the light is
shining towards. You can definitely see it's not coming
(32:21):
from the thing out. It's coming from underneath up.
>> Mikayla (32:23):
I just remembered I have a net.
>> Skylar (32:26):
Oh, yeah, the net.
>> Cameron (32:27):
Oh, yeah. You all have
cameras with splashes.
>> Skylar (32:31):
Cameras.
>> Cameron (32:32):
That's true.
>> Skylar (32:33):
Well, except for one person.
>> Cameron (32:35):
I have the sword of spirit.
So how.
>> Mikayla (32:38):
How far away am I from everybody? How far away did I.
>> Cameron (32:40):
It's not a big room. You're in
throwing distance. Like, if you want to throw the net over the top
of something from where you are, you could, if
that's what you're asking.
>> Mikayla (32:50):
The ghost person is not facing me, so I would
assuming they catch it unaware.
>> Cameron (32:56):
Yeah. You're from, like, the side.
>> Skylar (32:57):
Yeah.
>> Cameron (32:58):
You're not behind them, but you're on the. You. You scuttle away to the corner.
So, like, like you're facing the side of the ghost from
pick right or left.
We've kind of. Me and Elle kind of scooted into the
room.
The side.
And the ghost is now turned. Kind of looking at.
You're almost kind of, like, pressing in on it, and it's kind of like,
yeah, you're definitely not, but you're not doing what
you're supposed to. And now has a suction. Come on. It's for.
>> Mikayla (33:19):
Okay, I'm gonna scurry over to James.
>> Cameron (33:22):
Okay. So.
>> Skylar (33:22):
Yeah, that's me.
>> Cameron (33:23):
Yeah.
>> Mikayla (33:24):
He's not in line with the ghost, correct?
>> Cameron (33:27):
No, he. Well, he'd kind of be. He's kind of enough so that he
shot in the forehead. So you'd be coming into view, doing.
You could go behind it. You can go two ways. You can go forward over to
James. You can go further behind the. The opposite direction. Go behind
the thing.
>> Mikayla (33:40):
Well, I want to discuss with somebody, so I
would have to go in front of.
>> Cameron (33:46):
Yeah, and we'll. We'll see. If you guys keep distracting the
ghost that's gonna use one of my abilities. If you don't
distract the ghost, she's gonna get.
Can I use one? My. Can I use.
Sue? Sue, are you trying to soothe the
ghost?
Nice. I'm going to start,
like, waving my hands in the air, and I'm gonna be like,
yeah, look, we're just here to help,
(34:06):
okay?
Yes. But it's gonna take multiple rounds of it to actually
calm.
I'm not trying to come.
You can keep the ghost from noticing and start to de escalate.
That's a ten.
Okay.
Yes. I'm like, hey, look, look, we're not
here to hurt you, and we're planning on leaving, but we wanted to help
you, you know, complete this, you know, complete
(34:26):
this, quest that we are on, this haunted house quest.
And we, just want to help you, whether it's. You,
need your teddy bear, Rose, their teddy bear that
my cousin here has. Or, maybe you
just need us to show you the wonders of Halloween, because we have lots
of wonderful candy. Look at this. And I show.
I show the ghost my bag of truth filled
(34:47):
with good candy. And I'm like, look at this. Look at all this wonderful candy
I have.
Okay, I'm gonna bear towards
her. Is that happening? Are you just saying? Is he just saying,
yeah, I'll hold.
Out the bear, and. But I'll just kind of whisper to the ghost,
like, just don't take any werther's originals.
You're gonna have to share. Okay? Sharon is caring, and today
(35:10):
is a wonderful day.
Okay,
so you have thoroughly. You have partially
calmed this ghost down. You have distracted the ghost.
It's now concentrating exclusively on you, the candy, and the
bear. What are you guys gonna do? You have the ability
to talk briefly, and then you can decide.
>> Skylar (35:28):
You come squirming over to
my position, screaming over to my position, and as
you approach, I look over, and I go, I'm
in too deep, and I'm trying to keep up above my head
instead of going under.
>> Cameron (35:41):
God, I can imagine having you as a student
be rooting for the ghost.
>> Mikayla (35:47):
I really appreciate what you're saying right now, but you need you
focus.
>> Cameron (35:51):
What?
>> Mikayla (35:52):
I.
>> Cameron (35:53):
Is that a song lyric?
What?
>> Mikayla (35:58):
I have a net, and I need you
to help me catch the ghost.
>> Skylar (36:05):
Okay. What do you need me to do? Grab one
end.
>> Mikayla (36:08):
Yeah, go for it. We're gonna throw it on the
count. Three.
>> Skylar (36:12):
Oh, okay. In that way. It's open. Okay, I get.
>> Cameron (36:14):
I am gonna tell you. If you do this,
if it works, you've captured the ghost. If it doesn't, you've
enraged the ghost.
>> Mikayla (36:20):
Yes.
>> Cameron (36:21):
Just be clear. You guys are, like, calming it down enough that this is
possible, but you could, theoretically calm it down all the
way.
Hm.
But they don't know that.
Yeah, they're scared, and
we're trying to.
I'm trying to keep my worth.
Yeah. You two are the bullshit. The B's
brigade. You two are.
>> Mikayla (36:38):
I'm trying to scooby do this.
>> Skylar (36:40):
You're the Fred.
>> Cameron (36:43):
I'm just gonna be clear. Like, there are.
>> Mikayla (36:45):
I feel like I don't have enough,
toughness.
>> Cameron (36:51):
Is it toughness? I think this is an act. Under
pressure. You're not directly, like, punching the ghost in the back of
the head. Right. You're trying to grab it either
way.
>> Mikayla (37:00):
I still like smell.
>> Skylar (37:03):
I'm the one with a plus one in. Cool. So that works for me.
>> Cameron (37:05):
If it's narratively. I'm going
to have you both roll.
I'm gonna have you roll plus. Cool. to start
it, if you have something adjacent.
>> Skylar (37:16):
Oh, no, no.
>> Cameron (37:17):
Okay, so that hasn't gone well. You're gonna
have to have something good here, or you're gonna have to succeed on
this roll. Yeah. You're acting under pressure. Like, you're rolling. You're
running in opposite directions with it. With a. With a net
between.
>> Skylar (37:29):
Like, I just pull it really
hard to, like, rip it out of her hands.
>> Cameron (37:34):
No, but, like, you're both running opposite ways around it.
So you can still make this at least a partial success.
>> Skylar (37:40):
Okay.
Okay.
>> Cameron (37:41):
It's failed on one side, but you can make.
>> Skylar (37:44):
Okay, okay. I know exactly what I'm doing. I. So she
runs, right? Which would be, I think, closer to where the bed is in
this room. and then I imagine, I don't know, maybe she trips on the bed or
something.
>> Cameron (37:53):
She literally doesn't see the bed and just goes flying over the bed. Yeah.
Boom. Yeah.
>> Skylar (37:58):
I, on the other hand, run the left side, which is right
alongside the wall before you hit the closet. I run
up the wall. Like, not. Like, not
unnaturally. Like, I'm just saying, like, I kind of jump off the
wall, to be honest. It probably doesn't look as impressive.
>> Cameron (38:11):
Okay, we'll roll. And let's see how impressive it is. Let's go. Act under
pressure on it. Whoa.
>> Skylar (38:16):
That's a pressure. That's like an eleven.
>> Cameron (38:18):
Okay, well, you. You've owned that, so you're gonna get a do look.
>> Skylar (38:21):
Kind of cool.
>> Cameron (38:22):
Yeah, you're gonna get a partial success here. A full success would be you
literally both succeeded. You both at least partially succeeded. You
wrapped around things, trapped. You
essentially, like, she goes top wing, but she still has a hold of the
net a little bit. You essentially just like clothesline it from
below. I was gonna say, yeah, you guys are
calming it down. You're holding the teddy out to it. All of a sudden the legs
are just taken out.
(38:45):
You in here.
>> Skylar (38:49):
And I stand up over it and
I look down on him and I say,
you're gonna need a body bag. I'll
break bones you didn't know you had. When
I'm done, there will be nothing left of you for
your friends to hold on to. Okay, okay,
calm, calm down.
>> Cameron (39:07):
Come on.
This is clearly a.
This is clearly a person, okay?
We don't need to be decapitated.
Come on.
Just might see a guy.
You need help.
Feminine. You're hearing a feminine voice.
You need help. Late ma'am, and I hold my hand
out to like offer a helping hand.
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Don't touch squatters.
>> Skylar (39:26):
Don't touch squatters.
>> Cameron (39:26):
The squatter you gotta be asking about.
>> Skylar (39:28):
It's a squatter.
>> Cameron (39:32):
What?
Are you the young Miss Rosie?
>> Mikayla (39:38):
Yes, I'm Rosie. Why are you in my
house?
>> Cameron (39:42):
Well, we thought he told.
No, we were clear. Are you gonna take the mask off
or nothing?
Well, I'm helping her up and I'm assuming I figured it
could be one of those cases where I help her up. And if it's the
cot, if she's wearing a sheet or something, it probably.
Gets m stuck on something as I help her underneath.
You see, Miss Douglas, who, if you recall, was the anti
Halloween woman from the very beginning.
(40:03):
Misses Douglas.
>> Mikayla (40:08):
I don't know why you kids couldn't be like the others and just
listen. This is a dangerous holiday. You're supposed
to note being scared isn't funny.
It hurts people. Like you hurt me
pointing at you.
>> Cameron (40:21):
You were trying to scare us.
>> Mikayla (40:23):
This is my house.
>> Cameron (40:25):
This is your house?
It's got a for sale sign up.
>> Mikayla (40:28):
Well, no one's bought it yet.
>> Skylar (40:30):
Why are you wearing a sheet?
>> Mikayla (40:32):
Cuz I wanted to make kids so scared of Halloween
that they didn't go out. That nothing bad happens to
other people.
>> Cameron (40:39):
We stayed in this house.
Yes, they were.
>> Mikayla (40:41):
Well, no, I have a nice condo down by the lake.
But this is. This is the family house.
>> Skylar (40:47):
Oh, that's a nice place. On Ocean Avenue, I used to sit
and talk.
>> Mikayla (40:50):
So this is why everyone hates you,
James.
>> Cameron (40:54):
So.
>> Skylar (40:55):
So I'm just trying to understand, though. So
you think scary? Actually, hold on. Ellen's gonna say exactly
what I'm about to say.
>> Cameron (41:01):
Your whole plan was to sit in this house all night.
That was your Halloween plan? And just wait. If kids
came in this house or a potential buyer.
>> Mikayla (41:10):
Ever since Halloween, my father loved
it, and he would make a big to do about
Halloween. Then he died because of it. When I
was a little girl, and my mother
always said it was Halloween's fault that we lost him, and she
would never. She just wanted the holiday to go
away. So after she died,
I. I started a campaign against
(41:32):
Holly, but no one would listen. They just want to go out and
have their candy. So I started trying to scare people
into it.
>> Cameron (41:39):
I can tell you a lot of people in my church agree with you.
>> Mikayla (41:42):
Yeah, I know. I'm. I actually
said three pews behind you.
>> Cameron (41:47):
Why did you just go?
>> Skylar (41:48):
Oh, that's weird.
>> Cameron (41:49):
I recognized you.
I know.
>> Mikayla (41:51):
Your mother is a very nice lady.
>> Cameron (41:53):
Well, yes, my parents are charming.
Indeed.
>> Mikayla (41:55):
The women's group has actually been a big help to me after losing my entire
family.
>> Cameron (41:58):
Good. I was gonna say a thing that could help you in these trying times is the
Lord.
>> Mikayla (42:03):
You might have broken my hips, so I think we're gonna be starting a meal
train.
>> Cameron (42:06):
But, I mean, would the lord approve of you scaring children?
>> Skylar (42:09):
Yeah. Why couldn't you have just gone and helped with hell house? with,
like, the rest of the church?
>> Mikayla (42:13):
Have you read the Bible,
Alex? There's lots of things there to
scare children.
>> Cameron (42:19):
Well, you know. Yeah, like hell.
Well, I'm sorry. I'm not supposed to. H e double hockey.
>> Mikayla (42:24):
Well, you know, we will talk more about that as you get older,
but, yeah, there's a lot of it there.
>> Cameron (42:28):
Yeah, I'm still, like, 2012.
>> Mikayla (42:30):
Well, you broke my hip like a 15 year old.
>> Cameron (42:32):
I was down. Not me. I'm. The worst I did was hit your
hand, and that was in self defense.
>> Mikayla (42:36):
I don't think my hips actually broke.
>> Cameron (42:38):
And you just tripped me pretty good.
>> Mikayla (42:39):
I'm m not young anymore.
>> Cameron (42:41):
She's standing up now.
Yeah, she's, like, massaging her hip. You probably broke
her.
>> Mikayla (42:45):
Are you married?
Why, yes, I got married. M. Do you want
my whole family story?
>> Cameron (42:50):
A little.
>> Mikayla (42:51):
Are you. What are you, like, young lady?
Naked.
>> Cameron (42:55):
She's naked.
>> Mikayla (42:57):
It's better than you're probably gonna wear in a few years.
Whatever. yes, my
husband's dead, too. Do you wanna hear any other
details of my life?
>> Skylar (43:07):
so I've heard of this situation.
>> Cameron (43:09):
The Halloween again?
Was it Halloween?
>> Mikayla (43:12):
That's a deeply offensive thing to say to an old
widower.
>> Skylar (43:15):
Well, and your dad's dead, too.
>> Cameron (43:18):
Gee.
Yes.
>> Mikayla (43:19):
That made my mother a widow.
>> Cameron (43:20):
Geez, James, you're just a damper on the spirit.
You know what? I'm. James, I think you need Dan. James? Is that his name?
You need to leave before I call the police.
Ah.
that's why we're here in the first place.
>> Skylar (43:32):
They said they were gonna call the police.
>> Cameron (43:34):
If I had a nickel for every time the police were calling us tonight.
I'd have two nickel. I'd have two
nickels here, kids.
Wait, what?
>> Mikayla (43:42):
You're not the good guys. You vandalize.
You vandalized people's houses. You vandalized and broke
into mines.
>> Cameron (43:49):
All of these ideas work.
>> Mikayla (43:50):
We didn't vandalize your house. We did literally
nothing.
>> Cameron (43:56):
James told me it was a haunted house, okay?
He told me these are commonplace things. and on
Halloween.
>> Skylar (44:02):
In my defense, I assumed no one was living
here.
>> Mikayla (44:05):
because you listen to people like this
all the time.
>> Cameron (44:09):
I've never gone.
>> Skylar (44:10):
My parents offense.
>> Cameron (44:12):
My parents have never let me go out on Halloween.
>> Mikayla (44:14):
I know, and I think very highly of them for that.
>> Cameron (44:17):
Well, wait. We just were out here for candy and stuff, but
he said that haunted houses on the end of cul de stacks
are a regular thing.
>> Mikayla (44:24):
Can you please walk me out the front?
>> Cameron (44:26):
Of course.
>> Mikayla (44:26):
Help me out.
>> Skylar (44:27):
Of course, yes. What's out in the front?
>> Mikayla (44:30):
I'm pretty sure I could have you go to jail tonight,
James.
You shouldn't do that.
>> Cameron (44:34):
was that your white sedan?
>> Mikayla (44:35):
No, I was asking what was out there.
>> Cameron (44:37):
Was that your white sedan parked out front?
>> Mikayla (44:39):
Yes.
>> Cameron (44:40):
Oh, yeah. You should park. It's a cat on the house.
Oh, okay. Oh, money bags.
She has old double
widow already.
All right.
>> Skylar (44:51):
You can have some generation of wealth curriculum down
here.
I'll do the right thing.
>> Cameron (44:58):
Only air. Of the only air. You know what I mean? And
you know on both sides. There you go.
So we help her down the stairs.
Do you just come to this house on Halloween
and then go back to your condo?
Yes.
>> Mikayla (45:11):
Yes, I do. Because I have to keep the tradition
of scary things happening. Otherwise
kids won't believe it. And every year, it gets better because there's less and less kids
trick or treating.
>> Cameron (45:20):
I did see how many kids up this
year.
>> Mikayla (45:23):
I know. It was great, wasn't it?
>> Cameron (45:25):
I mean, yeah.
>> Skylar (45:26):
I mean, it meant more candy for us?
>> Mikayla (45:28):
Yeah, exactly.
>> Skylar (45:29):
I mean, Ella got, like, a whole box of
popsicles.
>> Cameron (45:32):
You want to hear one of her jokes? Hey, yeah, I saw a few
jokes.
Sorry.
>> Mikayla (45:36):
Let's hear the joke.
>> Skylar (45:36):
Oh, yeah.
>> Cameron (45:37):
how many tickles does it take to make an octopus
laugh?
I just. Look at James.
>> Mikayla (45:42):
If you touch me, I'm going to sue you.
>> Skylar (45:44):
I'm not doing anything. What the heck?
>> Cameron (45:47):
Ten tickles.
Oh.
So many popsicles.
Are you.
>> Mikayla (45:55):
Just help me to my car.
>> Cameron (45:57):
Wait. She's kind of like taking off this robot. She
goes. Her finger is very obviously, I'll just keep.
I deeply apologize for that, ma'am. That was in self defense.
>> Mikayla (46:06):
You know, I. Looking back, I could. It
appears like I was trying to hit you. I get
it.
>> Cameron (46:13):
I've taken a lot of damage in that house. It
broke my helmet.
M. Did you hear that loud,
shattering sound?
>> Mikayla (46:22):
I thought about it as soon as I closed the thing up. when
you were in the attic, I thought about, gee, Rosie, what
happens if they fall out of the attic?
>> Cameron (46:29):
Yeah, you shut the door in a pitch black attic. What did you think?
>> Mikayla (46:32):
Well, I knew you had lights.
>> Skylar (46:34):
Yeah. How are we supposed to leave your house if you lock us in
an attic?
>> Cameron (46:38):
Then lock it. She just shut the.
>> Mikayla (46:40):
You could have opened both of them. They both
opened. None of them were locked.
>> Cameron (46:44):
I did that.
>> Skylar (46:45):
Fell through.
>> Cameron (46:46):
I didn't know how to open them properly. That's partly on me.
>> Skylar (46:48):
Well, I don't know. Lack of education seems unfair to blame
you for.
>> Mikayla (46:52):
I need to be clear.
No one invited you to the house.
>> Cameron (46:54):
James invited us,
so don't say no one.
Anyways, I hope you have a great night. Hey, I'm glad it
wasn't a real ghost.
>> Skylar (47:06):
Miss Dougal's.
Douglas.
Douglas. out of
curiosity, did you have any candy
to hand out in there? Because we can
go get it for.
>> Cameron (47:20):
You.
>> Skylar (47:20):
Don't have to get it for us. Like, we can do the right thing.
>> Cameron (47:22):
She's just maintaining eye contact. She reached. Whoa, whoa,
whoa. She closes the door while
maintaining. I kind of turns the car on.
Did you just ask a la who hates Halloween if she has candy
to give out?
>> Skylar (47:34):
Oh, candy's not strictly associated with Halloween.
I mean, that one guy was handing out Christmas tree Reese's.
>> Cameron (47:40):
James, you're an idiot.
>> Skylar (47:43):
Oh, that's the meanest thing I've ever heard you say.
>> Mikayla (47:46):
Alex, I deeply rubbing off on you.
>> Cameron (47:50):
Probably that high five.
>> Skylar (47:51):
And he's like, nice.
>> Cameron (47:55):
That concludes our story and
Halloween, adventure. just to recap, you have found
out the mystery of who's doing this. I mean, you maybe not have
solved it. Nothing says she's gonna stop.
But you deciphered it. You get to keep your candy.
I don't think anyone called the cops on you. I mean, you did
us all bluffs. Yeah.
>> Skylar (48:13):
Smoke.
>> Cameron (48:14):
No one actually wants to call the police on children.
>> Skylar (48:16):
No.
>> Cameron (48:16):
Especially on Hollow. No. You just want the kids to
stop.
>> Skylar (48:19):
They'll just laugh at you.
>> Cameron (48:21):
Yeah, but, like, you know, you did assault an elderly woman.
>> Skylar (48:23):
Well, I mean, I did what I had to do.
>> Cameron (48:25):
She did lock us in the attic.
You did break into her house.
>> Skylar (48:33):
I just want to establish that. Scooby and the gang beat up
all kinds of crazy villains, and the police always show up and who they
arrest.
>> Cameron (48:39):
but the villains are also breaking the law. Yeah, that's true.
I mean, it's usually something to do with real estate, so it's
usually something.
>> Skylar (48:46):
Which, ironically, this was, too.
>> Cameron (48:48):
It's her house.
Yeah, again, it's her real house. Get out of it. Still her house. Still
nobody's invited. Gets to walk around creepy in front of it
all Halloween. If she wants any different than a haunted house. Yeah, all these
people with decoration. She's just doing it herself.
>> Skylar (48:59):
Yeah, I was gonna say. The irony is that she's leaving this derelict house
to just basically look like the ideal
haunted house to go walk into and get scared
at.
>> Cameron (49:08):
Yeah, just like her father intended.
>> Skylar (49:11):
That's right. As, as this
quadruple group of characters walks home,
each to their respective houses. But before they do that as a
group, they're walking down the sidewalk, and James
reaches into his pumpkin, thing.
Bucket. And he pulls out the extra pack
that he got from the dentist guy. And
(49:31):
he hands it to Alex. He
says, I don't know about you guys. That was a lot
of fun.
>> Cameron (49:37):
Ella's already left.
Ella, you're supposed to stay with me. Ella. Hey, guys.
That was us.
that was a wild night. But you know what? That was
the best Halloween ever. Let's take a
big old group pic with our my new Kodak
camera.
Oh, and it's got a key, it's.
>> Skylar (49:54):
Got a timer on it. So you set the, like, three second timer,
and then you. You word up, and I'm like, okay, guys, let's do this. One,
two, three. And we all jump into the air.
>> Cameron (50:02):
And we freeze frame.
>> Skylar (50:03):
High five. As the camera goes off, and as.
>> Cameron (50:05):
It goes off in the corner, you see Ella walking the other direction.
No one noticed there.
Like, as you raise your arm up, you see underneath the arm,
under. Just walking like half a block away.
>> Mikayla (50:16):
I'm so gonna regret, like, our suit choice in high
school. I look like Gollum at this point.
>> Cameron (50:22):
Let'S be honest, I think the cab's like three quarters off just hanging off.
>> Skylar (50:25):
The back and that's how the scene fades
out.
