(00:00):
[waves crashing]
[music]
June 20th, Anno Domini, 1586.

(00:24):
Elizabeth, my dearest Elizabeth,
the unbelievable has occurred.
The famed Sir Francis Drake himself
has graced our humble shores with his presence.
One would assume such a renowned explorer,
a man who has circumnavigated the globe,

(00:46):
would possess a morricum of compassion,
a willingness to aid his fellow countrymen
in their fledgling endeavour.
One would be sorely mistaken.
The man arrived with his ships laden.
I tell you laden.
Yet, when we, gaunt and weary from a year of meagre rations

(01:09):
and dwindling hope, pleaded for even the smallest provision,
he turned a deaf ear, claiming his holds were full of...
of what I know not, but certainly not the sustenance
we so desperately require.
Selfish, utterly and despicably selfish.

(01:30):
He could have spared a fraction of his bounty
and eased our suffering, but he chose instead
to haul his riches while we starve.
And the fools, the weak-kneed, lily-livid fools
amongst our company, Drake in his supposed magnanimity,
offered them passage back to England.
And like sheep to the slaughter, the majority have accepted.

(01:53):
They whine and moan about hardship,
but missing their comfortable lives.
Can they not see the incredible opportunity
that lies before us here?
The chance to claim vast tracts of land
to build fortunes beyond imagining.
All it requires is a little fortitude, a little patience.

(02:14):
But no, they scurry back to their familiar hearts,
abandoning the very cusp of prosperity.
But this, Elizabeth, this exodus of the weak,
I see as a blessing in disguise.
If you are mouths to feed,
means our remaining supplies will stretch further.

(02:35):
The land, ripe for the taking,
will be even more abundant for those of us
with the vision and the courage to stay.
You must come, Elizabeth.
As soon as the ships at sail for these shores,
must be on it.
Imagine the two of us claiming our stake in this new world,
becoming lords and ladies of our own domain.

(02:58):
As for sustenance until then,
well, these natives on the nearby islands
seem to have an abundance of things.
Strange trinkets, perhaps even food stores.
A small penis can easily reach their shores,
and a little persuasion should yield what we need.
They cling to peculiar beliefs, these savages.

(03:19):
Perhaps their holy relics, their totems as they call them,
hold some intrinsic value,
something we could trade or simply take.
Desperate times, my love, call for pragmatic measures.
Hasten your journey, Elizabeth.
Fortuna waits, yours, with unwavering ambition.

(03:41):
Richard.
[music]

(04:06):
When last we left off,
you guys had just finished telling your scary stories
around the campfire at Camp Roanoke,
when suddenly the very totem which you were using
as sort of the "who's it?" of telling the stories
began to shake and vibrate and glow with a mysterious magical light.

(04:27):
And just as it sort of released that glow,
you heard a mournful sound in the background,
deep in the forests at the eastern end of this island
that sounded very much like the very moan
that Soapy Joe had once heard before
that was the big foot that he saw.
And then you turn to see the scrungus was waiting.

(04:51):
The scrungus, the horrible creature that Martin Fresh
had once allegedly seen in his cabin in the woods.
It starts to move towards you guys.
One clawed, horrible clawed foot at a time.
It's dark gray.
You don't even want to call it fur.
It's almost flesh-like and almost oozes off of it.

(05:14):
Kind of like some sort of gooey snail.
But it has the visage of almost a bear-like creature,
but it walks on two legs as it starts to approach you guys.
What do you do?
Well, Soapy Joe gets his camera out and starts recording.
He stands up and points at it and goes, "What in the world is that thing?

(05:35):
Crikey!"
And you hear all of the four NPC individuals
that are with you, the other camp workers,
Ophelia, Hazel, Brayden, Justin, all just leap up.
They shout, scream, yell, whatever the case,
and they just start bolting away as fast as they possibly can.
What is that thing? I've never seen anything like that in my life.

(05:58):
That thing is freaky!
And they disappear into the darkness of the camp.
What are you guys doing?
I'm vlogging.
You're vlogging? This is true.
I'm hiding behind one of the logs.
Okay, guys, I think something is coming up through the woods.
It looks like a Sasquatch, but I don't know.

(06:19):
It's huge. It looks like a bear.
And everyone else left.
But I'm going to be here.
I don't want to freak out.
I wonder if my guy's quantum beads.
What is it?
Martin Fresh has claimed to have seen this thing once before.

(06:42):
No, he hasn't.
It's just something he made up.
But whatever the case, the thing that's really crazy about it, though,
that's probably throwing Martin off,
is that he's seeing right now is exactly what he envisioned in his mind's eye
when he was telling the story about this alleged scrum.
Really? He wasn't really envisioning much.
He was just making up words on the go.

(07:03):
But I'm sure in some loose way, it's probably what he saw.
Right, right. Whatever amount of detail popped into his head as he was speaking it,
that detail is absolutely mimicked on this creature that's moving towards you guys.
Let's get out of here before that bigfoot gets us.
He runs away.
Okay, Grieve, what are you doing?

(07:25):
Grieve is going to take a look at that.
My goodness, that is a beauty.
Wait, it might actually be. Is that the strongest?
I've got to get my net.
I've got to get a closer look at thing.
It's incredible. Look at that raw power.
Is your net back at the cabin?
Yeah.
Okay, sounds good. So do you start running off to the cabin?
Yeah.

(07:46):
Okay, and then Soapy Joe, are you just...
What do you do when you see these two guys just abandon you?
It's a very drastic park. He left us. He left us.
I think I'm going to... I mean, he's got to get closer.
He's got to get the views.
So he's going to get up a little closer to him and try and like...
Is he moving or is he staying?

(08:07):
Oh yeah, he's coming towards you guys.
Like towards the fire.
So yeah, he's going to try and get another angle on him.
He's going to try and get a...
You know, do his due diligence as a videographer.
So he's going to try and get some close-up shots.
Let me have you...
Or I'm going to have you make a...
It's like this is his moment.
This is like, this is going to go so far.

(08:28):
This is going to give me all the ad revenue.
It's going to get another like 200 million views.
That's like what's going through his head.
I'm going to have you do an act under pressure.
So you're going to roll your two dice and you're going to add your cool stat to it.
And then based on what you roll, we will find out your...
We got a six.
Six total?
Six total.
Oh, that's going to be a failure.
Hey.

(08:49):
You start to walk towards it, right?
And you've got your camera out and you're like,
"Whoa, what is this thing?" or whatever.
And then all of a sudden it's...
I mean, it looks at you the second that you step out from behind the bench that you were at.
And then it just wanders around and swatts at you.
Hits you with one of its giant clawed paws.
You take one harm from this.

(09:11):
So if you look on your character sheet, you'll see there's a section labeled harm.
You feel this huge claw scratch across your chest.
It actually slices through one of your camera straps.
You're able to catch...
I think you're able to catch the camera before it like falls to the ground.
But this thing is just attached to you.
What are you doing in response?

(09:32):
He's going to like fiddle and try and get his revolver and just,
"I cast guns."
Okay, well then we're going to follow that up with a kick some ass.
The whole plus toughness.
Oh my gosh, it's a negative one toughness.
I got a seven.
A seven, okay.
On a seven plus you and whatever you're fighting inflict harm on each other,
the amount of harm is based on the established dangers in the game.

(09:55):
That usually means you inflict the harm rating of your weapon.
Your enemy inflicts their attack harm rating on you.
Alright, so what does your 32 revolver do?
Two harm.
Two harm.
Alright, the shot rings out.
A bullet slams into what is now a charging scrungus dealing too harm to it,
but it ignores this bullet hitting it.
Like you can see that it went into it and there was like an explosion of goo or gut or whatever this thing is made of.

(10:22):
But it keeps heading towards you after taking that damage and slams into you,
knocking back, giving you another one harm.
And as you get thrown back, some of the essence that comes off of its body,
this gray, goopy, gross gunk is like stuck to you and starts to kind of drip off slowly.
Can I shoot him again?

(10:44):
How many bullets do I have?
Keep in mind that I think what is it, three harm is kind of the cutoff.
If you get more than the three arm, you're like a harm.
Oh, I'm like dying?
Yeah, you're like dying.
So just be aware of that.
Yeah, I didn't know that.
No, when you reach four or more, you become unstable, which is like bleeding out.
You've taken like a pretty severe wound.
Yeah, he's probably going to run away.
Okay.

(11:05):
Can you pick up his camera on the way?
Oh, yeah, absolutely.
Okay, so he picks up his camera and runs off and like he tries to just book it to a cabin
and then like he wants to kind of fill him from inside a cabin.
It's kind of give people an update.
Okay, so Greaves was headed to his cabin.
Which do you remember which one you were stationed at?
Nope.
Yes, Fig sounds correct.

(11:26):
So Fig cabin is actually not too far away.
Fig cabin is like just south of you guys.
So you guys just start bolting for Fig cabin following Martin Fresh and Greaves close behind him.
The three of you all hole up in the Fig cabin.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, who says we haven't locked the doors behind us?
Who's?
Why are you saying I'm an army?
I don't know.

(11:47):
Because he's the monster?
Maybe I just see the last people tailing.
Yeah, he's just following whoever.
Okay, he can follow us, but he's going to be male with a locked door until I say so.
Oh, yeah, the door is locked.
Oh, it's locked by both of us.
Because he waited so long.
Hurry up, shorts, get in here.
Sophie, Joe, you slam into the door and find that it's locked.
No, there's a scrungus.
There's a scrungus outside.

(12:10):
I know there's a scrungus outside.
That doesn't sound like a scrungus, shorts, are we opening?
If you were to spend so much time videography that you probably would have been safe.
Do you swear there's no scrungus out there?
There is a scrungus out here.
Did you hear that beautiful creature?

(12:32):
I heard a gunshot.
I'm going to unlock the door and go to like peek out.
S.E.P., sir, you just kick through and you jump in.
Okay, so now the door is wide open, you guys see the scrungus is coming towards you guys.
Quick shut the door.
Quick shut the door.
The scrungus is coming as I'm pointing out the door.

(12:53):
You slam the door shut and just as you do the scrungus slams into it and just goes.
Trying to get inside to get to you guys.
Quick, open one of the back windows.
What could you do?
You lured him right here.
Go get him, it's Shudder.
You showed him, you made him mad.
You know when I saw the scrungus last, I gave him a hot of ham and he went away and I'm all out of ham.

(13:21):
It's burying down on our door right now.
I'm all out of ham.
Do we have anything to just to barricade the door with?
Oh yeah, sure.
There's like beds and stuff in there.
You guys start barricading.
I know you just said, grieves, you just said go to the back window.
So you rush to the back window.
You start to pull that open and as you do, you notice the other cabins and buildings on this facility,

(13:45):
which all had like lights and stuff at the very least an exterior light that kind of just showed that, you know, this is where it's at.
Because otherwise you're on an island that's otherwise void of light aside from the moon and the stars when it gets dark out, right?
You see all the lights at these places.
Just go out.
Any electrical lights have suddenly stopped.

(14:07):
This is like in sync as an oh, somebody cut the power.
Yeah, so are the same.
Is our lights out now?
Yeah, the one that's on like the shed or whatever the oh yeah, if you had one inside.
We're in our cabin.
I wasn't sure if you turned the lights on in the cabin.
So it's on.
Okay, and now it's not.
Oh no, I'm scared of the door.
I gotta find my headlamp.
I've got an infrared camera.
I have a flashlight and I open up my fanny pack and I pull out my flashlight.

(14:32):
Okay, and I turn it on.
I'm assuming that the door is barricaded and the scrungus is still outside.
Yes.
Okay.
Why would you ever make an assumption like that?
Well, you did a great job barricading that door, Soapy Joe.
Thanks, old guy.
Whoa, you look like you took a number from that guy.
Are you alright?
Yeah, that's why I wanted him.
I've got a couple band-aids, so you think that would help?

(14:55):
It wouldn't not help.
I've got some Neosporin.
Oh, that's good for cuts and open wounds.
I think I've got a couple of those.
I'm gonna put my infrared camera and like film it outside.
Do you think now's the best time for recording a dangerous beast?
Well, as you peek outside the window, you notice that now that the light has gone off,

(15:16):
the scrungus has started to, it is not banging on your door anymore.
And you can see it with the infrared camera amidst the darkness starting to walk towards what looks like the mess hall.
Alright, so he's filming and he's like, "Okay, I was just attacked by the scrungus.
I had to shoot it, but it didn't work.
And I want to barricade inside this cabin, but he's going away."

(15:38):
Who are you talking to?
I'm talking to... I almost died for this.
Could you put your ego aside for one second to appreciate the beauty of that creature?
No, he was private.
What are you talking about?
It's half of mine to let you die just to let it live.
You can't even see that thing.
Not anymore.
Can you see it in that dude-ed gamer of yours?

(16:00):
Yes, because it's-
Where is it? Where is it? It's not banging on our door.
They go around back.
He opened the-shorts opened the window.
She quick shot the window shorts.
It's going towards the mess hall.
Oh, it wants ham.
Looks like ham.
It's going to take our ham.
It can smell it. I know it.
Well, the mess hall looks like it'd be about a hundred yards away or something.
So we can try and sneak up on it, right?

(16:22):
Here's the mess hall and here's where we're at.
How do you assume that's a hundred yards? You have no key.
I don't know.
Just-
He's heading to the mess hall.
He's heading to the mess hall.
And you want to follow it?
Why not?
Um, kiss that ham goodbye.
I know Shorts wants to check it out, so it's a two to one vote.
Two to one?
I would like to get a better gander at that thing.

(16:44):
I'm not going?
Crikey, it's beautiful.
Then who's going to give him ham?
Himself.
Clearly, he's going there to serve himself.
But fave for one.
Hmm.
Maybe this is an endangered creature.
It needs to be rehabilitated.
I need to be rehabilitated.
You need to let your ego go for a second.
This is like a moment in history.

(17:06):
No one's going to believe us unless we have footage.
With that being said, you suddenly hear a shout from over the mess hall.
And I'm assuming you probably have a zoom on this camera.
You zoom in and you see that Justin is on.
So the pool is located right next to the mess hall.
So you obviously people can go swimming in sort of the sections of water that are surrounding the island.

(17:32):
But there is a literal pool that is it, which some of you were cleaning me.
I cleaned that pool over by that pool.
There are two sort of like TP style cabins, these very triangular cabins or conical even.
And you see that Justin has managed to get himself stuck up on the roof of one of these little shower houses.

(17:54):
And the scrungus has seen him and is trying to climb up it.
Now, thankfully the scrungus is having a little bit of issue getting up that angle.
But you also notice that Justin is having a hard time holding on to such an angle.
And he is freaking out.
So can we hear that yelling?
Yes.
Well, what do you see?
What's making a wet yelling?

(18:15):
Is he really happy to fight a ham?
No, I think that kid with the totems getting chased.
You can see that far?
Yeah, that's a really good guess.
That's exactly what's happening.
Is that Australian outback knowledge, I guess.
I guess that's what three weeks in the outback does for the eyes, wonders.
Yeah.
Screw eating carrots, I'm going to Australia.

(18:38):
Foster.
Yeah, it's a fondness of beer.
He's been drinking beer?
I guess.
Where'd you get that?
We were told it was a drink.
What do they put in that beer?
You should get a sponsorship with them.
Every moment that you guys are chatting about beer, Justin is slipping a little bit at a time.
We should probably, we need to go save this guy.
I don't want to.

(19:00):
I'll grab my net.
Yeah, he's got his net.
I'll grab my net.
He looks around and he spots his set of golf clubs that he's been golfing every night to finish out the day.
On the free golf course.
That's right.
Martin's been ending his day every day after he finishes his jobs.
He goes to the golf course.
Anyways, he, he grabs, I'm trying to think what would be the best club for fighting something with.

(19:22):
I'm thinking an iron.
That's the obvious choice, right?
I'm guessing a pitching wedge.
A wedge, yeah.
A pitching wedge.
It's got sharp edge.
Yeah, this one thing has got the sharpest edge.
Yeah, pitching wedge.
He grabs his pitching wedge and he just take the thing off.
It's a sharp and it's like a lance.
I was also going to say a putter is not a bad one either because it's like, if you've got an old fashioned putter, they're just literally like L's.

(19:45):
That's like a giant hammer basically.
Yeah.
He grabs both.
Just take your whole set of golf clubs.
I like this guy's thinking.
Then you've got projectiles.
Yeah, he's the golf ball.
Yeah, he's slinging over his golf set on his back and he starts running.
It's going to be like Duff Kiligan from Kim Bustable.
Like put the T's between your fingers and use that as like a point.
Okay, he's not going to do any of that.

(20:06):
So Martin Fresh, you have your whole thing of golf clubs.
Sobie Joe has his cameras and his 32 revolver apparently.
How many bullets do I still have in this?
I've only fired one.
A revolver is six.
A revolver is six out of five left.
Did you have a box in your cabin like backups?
Because we're not in your cabin.

(20:27):
Do I have a box in our extra bullets in my bag?
I don't think so.
All right.
So we'll just say I have five bullets left.
Yeah.
I didn't exactly plan to fight a whatever.
A scrungus?
I didn't exactly plan on fighting a scrungus while we were here.
A scrungus to sneak up on you.
Greaves over here has his a net gun and also I think a backup knife.
Yeah, just a little pasta knife too.

(20:48):
So with that, you guys, do you guys exit through the window?
No.
Oh, you clear the stuff in front of the door and then head out that way?
The barricade?
Well, how are we getting out of here?
Through the window or through the door?
Why did you open the window?
In case it came in the front?
I thought you were going to let it in the front door so you could take another selfie with it.
Guys, guys, guys, people are in danger.

(21:11):
Let's work.
Let's work together.
Teamwork makes the dream work as they say.
You didn't do it.
Okay.
I'm the positive encouragement here.
Are you guys going out through the door or the window?
Yeah, through the door.
Through the door.
You clear the debris and the stuff that you've said in front of the door and you easily just
walk right out the front of the door and start rushing towards the pool area.

(21:32):
I will add that as we're running, everyone just hears this loud.
I'm not too sure on the quietest type of these golf clubs.
I maybe should have just brought my pigeon wedge.
But now you got nine clubs.
But I'm committed now.
Actually, it's a set of 13.
Thank you.
Okay.
It's a full big set.

(21:53):
These guys like the woods.
Two of those things are pack of wallop.
Yep.
So guys, out of the big cabin, you guys passed by the campfire once again, passed by the
supply shack and end up right over by the pool and the showers.
Question.
Yes.
Did he said short said short for the rest of this thing.

(22:17):
Okay.
Justin started calling him that day one and it just that's his style.
He said Justin still has the totem thing.
Is that true?
Sure.
The question was if Justin didn't have it, did he leave it at this campsite?
Well, since I am more than happy to accept the idea that he has it based on the fact
that Greaves said I see the totem.
All right, we keep going.

(22:38):
In fact, as you get closer to the showers, we're in Schmore's.
Can I grab marshmallows?
Sure.
Food.
It's the strongest.
I know that's how to beat it is food.
So I'm going to grab.
I'm going to say that I'm going, hey guys, I'm grabbing the marshmallows.
Food.
Maybe, maybe if we can't find some ham, maybe a schmarr might lure it off.

(22:59):
Fair enough.
I'll grab whatever food I can find.
He rubs his stomach because I know a good schmarr would lure me off.
Martin Fresh, you have a pack of marshmallows.
Greaves, you grab a pack or most of the pack of hot dogs.
Oh, ham.
Yeah.
Ham and Jason.
As you guys approach the shower houses, one of which is the one that Justin is trapped

(23:22):
atop of.
You actually see him trying to swing the totem at this monster to keep it at bay, but he's
got to keep one arm holding on to the very top of this triangular shaped building.
And he goes, guys, guys, oh my gosh, I'm so glad you're here.
Please get this thing away from me.
Hang on, Justin.
We're coming.
I'm hanging on as best I can do something.

(23:44):
Yeah.
Do something short.
Well, I'm my, I got a gun.
I'm pull out my gun.
How, how far away are we from this thing as close as you want to get?
You think that's a good idea to shoot your gun as I see him raises gun.
Justin's in the background.
Well, I'll get off to the side.
So like if I shoot straight, I can't, I can't miss and hit Justin.

(24:07):
There's no shot as his shooting.
Grieve is trying to push the shot away.
He's like, no, don't hit it.
So you're running around to get a better spot and Greaves is now chasing you going, don't
shoot.
Interesting situation where you're going to have, you're going to have a soapy Joe is
going to be rolling kick some ass and then you're going to have Greaves rolling a protect

(24:30):
somebody or protect someone, which ironically is the monster.
So you're rolling with tough.
I got a seven.
A seven.
Okay.
That's a mixed success.
Three.
Three.
Okay.
So Greaves, you just don't react fast enough.
You, you completely miss the idea of stopping the shot from going through.
You turn around and you're like, no, as he's already taking the shot.

(24:54):
Slow-mo dive.
That's just completely failed.
You fall like five feet short seeing that he has failed to stop that line of thinking
he is going to, what is one of the stats on this net gun?
Can I just shoot my net at it?
Yeah, I think it's, it's more conceptual.
Yeah.
With that being said, a soapy Joe does manage to take a shot on the monster.

(25:15):
What are you going to do once the guns out of bullets?
I don't know.
Well, hopefully we don't get to that clay.
Once again, the bullet embeds itself in this monster, which turns around and starts to
move, just jolts towards you, slams into you.
Once again, I'm sending you flying backwards, taking one more harm.
That's tough.
Yeah.
I inflict two on him.
You did inflict two on him.

(25:36):
That's true.
What, so what's, what's, what's short's doing?
Yeah.
What is short's doing?
He is now lying into, I've assumed it's mauling him at the moment.
So he's going to attempt to, uh, shoot it with a net and capture them both.
Okay.
See, you're getting close.
That's both in minutes.
Okay.
Does your net gun have any information on it?
Oh, it did.

(25:57):
It did?
Okay.
Yes.
It says zero harm, close area, heavy, slow and tangle.
Okay.
So it's going to entangle.
Okay.
So I'm assuming you roll, kick some ass as well.
Oh, seven.
Okay.
So you fire, uh, this net.
Actually, I think, uh, what happens is, is that the strongest slams into you, soapy Joe,
sending him flying, turns around to see the other two of you, Martin fresh and of course,

(26:21):
yourself, creeps and it turns and it starts to rush towards you.
Now you've had animals, wild animals rushed towards you as well in the past, right?
Maybe you were out, um, on the Serengeti in a lion came rushing towards you, but you
were able to, uh, keep your nerve, which is kind of a big thing with like your, your

(26:41):
style and stuff like that.
So in this moment, you are also keeping your nerve and you fire this net gun, which flies
for is wrapping itself around this, the strange unknown creature.
It slams to the ground having tripped on the thing, but it's one of those classic situations
in the movie where something is like broken and it's sliding towards the person.

(27:02):
But unfortunately in your case, it does reach you ever so slightly and bumps into you.
I'm causing you to take one harm.
That must have been a very aggressive bump.
It was an aggressive bump.
Yeah.
Um, you pick yourself up off the ground and you have successfully netted this creature
while this is happening.
Um, Martin has set down his golf clubs because he's there and he pulls out his driver and

(27:27):
he takes out, uh, grabs a golf ball and a tee and he sets it down.
And so while this is sliding forward, he's setting up and then he positions himself.
He does a little shake with his butt.
Yep. And then he sees it's lined up right there in front of him and he goes, Oh, he
smacks it as hard as he can.
All right, dude, do one more kick some ass.

(27:49):
Oh, no, I swear if he hits me on this.
Okay.
Um, so it's a six, a six.
Okay. Well, here's what happens because the creature is currently contained.
I'm not going to have you take harm on this one.
Oh yeah, you can add bonuses.
That is a thing in this game.
You can give someone plus one help.
Yeah, no, yeah, it's basically like help, but you give them plus one on their next forward

(28:10):
is what's called in their next action.
Right. So I'm just saying, do I have plus one forward because it's entangled?
Here's what I'll say.
It, you don't have plus one forward on it for doing it, but it's not going to deal you
damage.
That's kind of your bonus because this thing is entangled.
It's not going to be able to lash out at you, um, which normally would happen if you, if
you had a failure.
Okay.

(28:30):
Even with the mixed success, typically you would still take damage from it.
Um, so I'm going to forego that, but you also don't manage to hit it.
Now with that being said, Justin quickly slides down the roof of this shower house and joins
you guys and says, guys, I don't know how long that's going to hold that thing, but
I found out some information that I think is going to be beneficial.

(28:51):
Uh, can we get out of here?
And as he's saying this, you see the scrungus and its claws are peeking out through the
various holes in this, in this net and you can see it as it starts to almost pluck these
strings and it's the net, um, severing them.
So it's slowly starting to break out.
You have to tell me twice and I slam my golf club back into the bag and I sling it on my

(29:17):
shoulders.
Okay.
Can I like shoot it one more time?
If you want to, she's an angry Sheila.
He's like, he's, so he's like, I imagine so like Joe's just like, he's laying there on
his back and he's like peels himself up off the ground.
His guns right next to him.
He sees the thing in the, he sees the scrungus in the, in the net.
So he's like, he's kind of flumps over and it just tries to take one last shot before

(29:41):
like getting up and running.
Okay.
Seven, seven.
You shoot it and it takes another two harm.
The bullet wedges inside.
Uh, but as you do this, it angers the monster monster.
He's going to pull into this net.
It's going to release itself here shortly.

(30:02):
Yeah.
He's, he's up and out of there.
He's, he's running away.
All right.
It sounds good.
You got one last shot in, but it's now escaping.
You guys, uh, follow Justin.
He rushes into the open doors of the mess hall and like kind of waves his arm to get you
guys to go inside.
Come on.
Come on.
Come on.
Come on.
It's get back up.
Shorts, throw some ham into the pool.

(30:22):
Yeah.
Where are my hot dogs?
Throw a couple of hot dogs behind me.
Throw a couple of hot dogs.
The pool, the pool.
He throws them at the pool.
Okay.
So you don't have to roll for it.
It's all good.
Um, you, you hurl these hot dogs into the pool and you see the scrungus for a moment
goes and it follows it with its eyes, giving you guys just enough time to get inside the

(30:43):
mess hall.
We hear it audibly say, "my arm."
Possibly.
You're not sure.
It gives a growl and you're not really quite sure what it says per se, but uh, you definitely
managed to get inside and Justin pulls the door behind and you see him like put like a
bar or something or maybe it's just a room.
Barricade, barricade.

(31:03):
And I look directly at a soapy Joe who barricaded the last door.
I hate you as he just starts to barricade.
You're just looking at her.
You're doing a great job.
I'm peeing.
I smell s'mores in your future.

(31:24):
If you want, I can videotape you moving this furniture.
I hate you.
All right.
So soapy Joe, you're going to be barricading the door.
The other two you, or I guess kind of all of you right there are standing there and Justin
says, "guys, I think I found something that might give us some answers to this whole,
this thing."
And he holds up the totem.
He says, "come with me.
Come with me.

(31:45):
It's in the museum thing."
And he starts to lead you guys towards the museum.
I said down in my golf clubs.
And I mean, you can bring him with you on to.
No, no, okay.
He leads you guys over to the museum wing and he starts to point out there's some letters
and they're in like that classic old English and they're in cursive and such like that.

(32:06):
And he says, "I wasn't able to get all the words out of this because if I'm being honest,
I don't really read old English."
Oh, I know old English.
Oh, see, I knew you would.
I knew you would.
And so I figured that you'd be able to sort of interpret it.
But I noticed a couple of things in here.
Basically there was this guy.
His name was Martin Fresh.
You're reading this.
You're able to kind of make this stuff out.

(32:27):
William Shetner lived in Davenport, Iowa.
You read this series of letters that are from an individual named Richard Ancock.
And he was from England and he came across on the first boats and landed on Roanoke Island
but it mentions how originally there was, they stopped on the mainland and they met

(32:53):
with a native tribe that was there.
And during their sort of restocking or resupplying on this island, there was a silver cup from
the captain that went missing.
And the captain, kind of a questionable dude, was easily tempered and demanded to know who
it was that took the silver cup.
And nobody volunteered.

(33:13):
So he assumed it must have been somebody from the native tribe.
And so in response, they burned the village and killed everybody there.
Secretly it was Richard that had taken the silver cup and let the natives take the fall
for it.
He stowed it away.
And you can see in these letters, they're letters that he's sending to his wife back
in England, encouraging her to come over to the new world where he is going to essentially

(33:39):
make sure that they are one of the richest families that will be starting a life here
in this new world.
The next letters talk about how the voyage unfortunately used up a lot of their supplies
and left them a little bit destitute when it came to the necessities, food and stuff
like that.
So the captain disappeared off to England and shortly thereafter, the Sir Francis Drake

(34:04):
stopped by the island.
Now Sir Francis Drake did not have any supplies to share with them.
So instead he offered to take whoever wanted to go back to England since they didn't have
supplies to live off of here.
All but 15 men went on that journey, went back to England, leaving the 15 men behind
to live in this colony, one of them being Richard Amcock.

(34:27):
Now Richard in an attempt to sway the natives to give them the supplies that they need stole
a totem from one of their holy places.
October 10th, 1586.

(34:47):
Elizabeth, my love.
Or perhaps I should say Elizabeth, witness to madness.
I did it.
I took the penis to that nearby island, the one they called Croatoan.
The natives there, their ways are even stranger.
They have erected small shrines adorned with carvings and things.

(35:12):
It was from one of those crude structures that I took it.
A totem, carved from dark wood, it pulsed with a faint energy.
A hum you could almost feel against your palm.
I confessed my intentions were purely mercenary.
I thought it might be worth something, a curiosity to trade, but now I am not so sure.

(35:39):
As I fled their village, one of them saw me.
He gave chase, his cries guttural, and enraged.
I was cornered Elizabeth, with water at my back and his spear raised.
In desperation I pointed into the trees and shouted the first thing that came to my mind,
"Look!
A bear!"
And then there was a bear.

(36:00):
A massive, snarling beast that seemed to materialize from thin air.
It attacked the natives, tearing into him with savage ferocity.
I swear, Elizabeth, there was no bear there moments before.
I scrambled back to the boat, my heart hammering and didn't look back.

(36:23):
A few nights later, around the meagre fire we keep burning, I showed the others my prize.
They were superstitious fools muttering about curses in dark magic.
I scoffed, of course, to ease their fears and perhaps my own unease.
We began to tell stories, tales of the old country, of things that go bump in the night.

(36:45):
I recounted my favorite, the chilling legend of Edmund, the headless knight, forever seeking
his lost head or a replacement.
This morning we found Bartholomew, not far from his cabin, his body.
Elizabeth, his head was gone.
Cleanly severed, there was so little blood.

(37:10):
The others are whispering, their faces pale with terror, but I think I know.
That totem.
It hums still, Elizabeth, a dark vibration against my skin.
I told a story of a headless knight and now could it be?
Could this croof carving possess such a terrible power?

(37:34):
To bring the very horrors we speak of into being, the thought is monstrous, unbelievable
and yet the bear Bartholomew.
I feel a terrifying understanding dawning within me.
This is not mere wood and bone.
This is something else, something powerful, something dark.

(37:59):
You must understand this, Elizabeth.
I must learn how to control it.
Imagine the possibilities.
The power to shape reality with a whispered tale, but the fear, chilling, creeping fear
that I have unleashed something that I cannot contain it, it claws at my throat.

(38:26):
Right to me, Elizabeth, tell me I am mad.
Tell me that this is just a nightmare.
Tell me this is just a nightmare.
Yours haunted and afraid.
Richard.

(38:55):
So basically, there's gotta be something here, right?
This isn't just a normal totem, this is some kind of magic stuff.
When did you find this out, Justin?
What?
All this stuff in these letters?
It's just in these letters.
They've been here the whole time.
So you didn't look at these letters when you stole this totem earlier?

(39:18):
No, I didn't look at them until just now.
So I ran straight here and then I was coming to tell you guys and that's how I got stuck
up on the roof.
Can I see the totem?
Oh yeah, I don't want this thing and he hands you the totem.
Oh sick.
Yeah.
You keep that.
In fact, if you want to take that thing anywhere else.
I wish no more scrungus.
Nothing happens.
Hey, he's gone.

(39:40):
What if we break the totem?
Oh, I like that idea.
Let's break the totem.
Let's have this guy shoot at it.
I only got three bullets.
Are you sure that's a good idea?
I don't think he could hit anything with that.
What if you have to use the totem to get rid of the monsters or something?
But what if we have to get rid of the totem to get rid of the monster?
That's a good point too.
Yeah, what if breaking it is the solution?

(40:02):
I mean, you guys see, you could try.
I mean, what's the worst that could happen?
Yeah.
Another scrungus?
That is pretty bad, actually.
That sounds terrifying.
That would be really bad.
That is the worst that could happen.
We're going to run off so much ham.
Unless there's a scarier scrungus, yeah, that would 100% be the worst thing that could
happen.
Oh, he did wish for big flits and he wished for big L.

(40:23):
Maybe it's, oh crap.
What?
Okay, we'll deal with that later.
Hopefully not.
Hopefully not.
But whatever the case, I think we should refrain.
Anyone who's holding the totem, let's refrain from using the word wish just in case.
Got it.
I wish for a million dollars.
That's certainly not the worst thing that could happen.
I wish for a better drive.

(40:45):
Drive?
In my golf game.
Oh, it's a golf game.
Yeah, I don't know about that.
They were.
I'll let them out in the other room.
Well, I wish to improve my chipping game.
Chipping game.
Guys, I think I'll like this thing.
Any other wishes?
Longer shorts?

(41:06):
He looks over and his shorts do not extend and it kind of makes you question if this
is quite how this works.
I say we destroy it.
I'm down to the next.
Let me get this on video.
There might be an axe over in the supply.
I mess hall.
Maybe there's a jack.
Cleaver.
So I get, I get my camera out and I'm just filming this whole thing.

(41:27):
Don't you have a giant knife?
No, it's like a pocket knife.
Oh, it is a survival knife.
One harm hand.
I got a good focus on it.
Let's destroy it.
We go to the meat, the kitchen.
Oh, yeah, there's some cleavers in there.
Sick.
Shorts, you can do it.
Yeah, I'm gonna grab a meat cleaver.
Okay.
And I'm gonna hack on it.

(41:48):
Do a.
Shoot, is this like an act under pressure?
Yeah, let's do act under pressure.
While this is happening, Martin sticks his face like directly in the camera and goes,
"This episode is brought to you by fresh detergent."
You're doing a plug?
Yeah.
For your family's detergent company.

(42:09):
My family has a detergent line.
Fresh is the best.
Okay.
Six.
Six.
You take this cleaver and you come slamming down with it, trying to put all your force
into this so you can chop it and hopefully cut this magic out of existence.
As you do, as soon as the blade touches the wood, there is a small explosion of light.

(42:32):
That shoots the now-dented, horribly dented cleaver backwards, flying out of your hand
and across the mess hall.
Whoa, that was like the scene from Lord of the Rings.
Yes, that's a good example.
Oh my gosh, what was that?
Lord of the Rings.
Well, hit it again.
Don't have my cleaver, it's over there.
It's in the wall.

(42:53):
Guys, that might have been the only cleaver in this whole kitchen.
I did not.
I doubt that.
I don't think they're equipped to like do that kind of cooking.
I think it was a safety one.
Crushed it, burned it.
Oh, burned it.
Burned it.
Burning works with wood.
Yeah, start the gas stove on fire.
What should I preheat to?
Their gas stove?
500.

(43:13):
Yeah, it's a gas stove.
I think it runs on propane.
Oh, sorry.
I think it runs on propane.
What was that?
Propane, propane.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, turn it up.
He flicks the dial and pushes it in.
You hear that?
Joe's just like setting up right next to the thing for a good shot.

(43:34):
I'm going to look for tongs to hold the totem.
You don't have to roll anything.
You're just holding it over a fire with tongs.
Yeah, you hold it over and you notice that the fires just do.
It's almost like they go around the totem.
Is there cool red writing?
No, there's not any cool red writing that glows out of it.
No.
Dang, could have gone two for two.
Now, what I really need, that's a good point.

(43:55):
If you're reading this, you're too close.
All of a sudden, you hear a sound come out of Justin's butt.
Out of his what?
His butt.
Is this for real?
Who is that?
Justin's.
Oh, zoom the camera over to Justin.
So he's farting.
No, you hear, he's a focus of camera.

(44:16):
He's like, oh my gosh, I'm so embarrassed.
No, it's a, it is the sound of like a walkie-talkie going off.
And you hear what sounds like.
That's in his pocket.
I know, I just thought it was really funny.
You hear the voice of Braden on the other side.
Hey, Justin, are you there?
Justin, do you copy?
Are you still alive or did the scrungest get you?

(44:38):
And he picks up the walkie-talkie and says, no, no, no, no, I'm here.
I'm here.
What's up, Braden?
Dude, I'm in the supply shed and there are like, there's like weapons in here.
Like there's like bows and arrows and BB guns and stuff.
But the problem is, is behind the electrical door.
And that's not gonna open until we get the electricity back on.
I'm pretty darn sure there's a generator that's kept in a shack in the woods.

(45:02):
Are you down to help?
I mean, I'm really not interested in going into the woods, but yeah, but like we need
weapons to fight these monsters or whatever.
So like, are you with anybody else?
Anybody else make it?
Yeah, I'm here with the old guys and the dude with the camera.

(45:23):
What do you mean old guy?
I'm 27.
Oh, sorry.
That's not the most pressing issue right now.
I'm with Shorts, the history teacher and the guy with the cameras.
Soaps.
Oh, yes.
Soaps, soaps, Joe.
Soap, Joe.
Soaps, Joseph.
What's soaps, Joseph?
That's my Christian name.

(45:43):
We figured it out.
Well, I'm gonna need all the help I can get.
So if you guys can meet me down here at the supply shed, I think if we all go into the
woods, we might, I don't know what we're gonna need, but I've got canisters of gas in here.
Maybe we just have to refill the generator, but I'm gonna need some help carrying stuff.
Wait, wait, wait, wait.
What kind of lock is it?

(46:04):
It's an electrical lock and it didn't disable when it's not like in the movies.
Like it was locked and so now it's just locked.
It's like a metal, it's a gate type lock thing.
Anyway, I can't get behind there.
Plus, I mean, let's be honest, Mr. Really's gonna be pissed if I break it.
I reach for the my walkie-talkie.
Your walkie-talkie?

(46:25):
No, reach for the walkie-talkie.
Okay.
Yep, yep, yep.
Hi, this is Martin Fresh.
I'm really scared.
I handed back to, I handed back to some of you.
I think we all are.
So I can't suit it, can I?
Suiting things is really my solution to everything, but I could hit it with a golf club.
I don't know if it's gonna work.
How about this?

(46:46):
We leave.
Yeah.
If you guys want to come over to the supply shed, I think that'd be great.
No, there's no way for us to get in.
How do we get in?
Oh, I'm at the door.
I was to let you in.
Oh.
Just sneak past the scrungus.
Where is that scrungus?
Where do you be?
I got my camera.
I'll look outside the window.
Yeah, you losing your splash around at a little pool party, some ham.

(47:09):
You look outside with your infrared camera.
You do not see the scrungus anywhere.
Looks like the coams are clean.
Do you have any more hot dogs left?
No, I assumed you threw the whole pack.
I did?
I mean, here's what I could say, though.
You're in the mess hall.
I mean, we can grab more ham.
Yeah, looking for some food.
Okay.
Yeah, there's definitely plenty of food items in here.
Is there any?
Are there any to heal the harm I have been inflicted?

(47:30):
No, this isn't like a video game.
It's not like Minecraft where you can just eat food and heal.
I will say there is food supplies.
There's various kitchen supplies, obviously, pots, pans, so on and so forth.
Is there like a first aid kit box?
No.
You do know that there would be in the recovery cabin, which is not far away.

(47:54):
Actually, ironically, the recovery cabin is semi-between you guys and the supply shed.
Look at that.
Look at that.
Grieve is going to check the spice cabinet for a bottle of pepper or a jar of pepper.
Oh yeah, definitely.
And he will grab as many as he can.
There's like one big, big one.
He will grab it.
It's the Costco giant pepper tub.

(48:18):
He grabbed it.
Yeah.
Okay.
Any holiday hams?
No.
This is a summer camp.
It'd be more grilling stuff.
Burgers?
Raw hamburger meat.
Yeah, raw hamburger meat.
Okay.
Okay.
So with that being said, you guys grab that stuff and then you follow in after Sobie Joe,
who's rushing to the recovery cabin, which is just south of you guys, pass the pool.

(48:40):
As you pass by the pool, you do not see the scrungus anymore.
The scrungus has disappeared somewhere else on the island, but you do see the fragments
leftover of the net that you had captured it in, meaning that it definitely managed
to escape.
But where it went, it's unsure.
How many nets do I have?
That is a good question.
I'm going to say you have a two left.
So you have three to start with.

(49:01):
It sounds like a good number.
There might be an opportunity to get more.
Ooh.
But with that being said, you guys make it to the recovery cabin.
And while you are there, you go inside.
There's a variety of different, you know, those little beds, like hospitals type, type
beds or whatever the ones with the wheels on them.
It's I mean, it's basically exactly what you'd think of for a summer camp nurses station.

(49:22):
Right.
It's not a lot that's in there per se, especially because there's no nurse there that brought
like a stock of various stuff.
But you do find, you know, some medical supplies, some medicine blankets and pillows.
There's even a small like cabinet with some medical reference books.
And you even see a handful of like crutches and slings and things like that.
Is the fridge out?
Yes.

(49:42):
Oh, no.
The bed?
The anti-venom.
The insulin.
The insulin.
The insulin.
The insulin.
Copy pens.
No.
What if we get stung by a bee?
Skyler would die.
I'm so sorry, soaps, Joe.
You're going to die.
I didn't establish I was diabetic in this.

(50:05):
With that being said, I will say that you do find a handful of gauze and other medical
supplies and I will say that you heal too hard.
Wow.
I can shoot them again.
Both of them?
Both of what?
They're both injured.
Oh yeah, that's right.
Well, yeah, you only had one.
So yeah, you, uh, uh, Greaves also heals one.
A bandaid, but Dora the Explorer on it.

(50:27):
So I heal one.
Slap it all in one.
And he heals one or I heal two.
And he heals.
You heal two.
We give you all the good stuff.
And then can I give his boo boo a big kiss and as a heal next to one?
Do you give him a big smooch?
Uh, yeah, absolutely.
Yeah.
Ah, kissing the homies relieves all harm.
No, you ended up with mono, the kissing disease.

(50:49):
Take three harm.
Okay, so you guys are feeling a lot better and you look out and you can see the supply
shack and with your infrared camera, you can see Braden is like nervously peeking out the
cabin trying to see you guys amidst the darkness.
Can I see the scrungus?
You do not see that you continue to not see the scrungus anywhere.

(51:11):
We got to run.
Ready?
Three, two, one.
Charge.
Shout that as you charge.
Just to clarify here.
That seemed like the one rule.
Question.
Did we take the, did the shorts bring the totem with him or did he just leave it in the
open?
I'm assuming you kept it.
I probably kept it.
Yeah.

(51:32):
I thought, all right, so suds gang.
So got attacked.
Okay, let's go.
Yeah, let's leave.
Oh, I assume he was doing this as you guys were like shuffling.
I don't think he'd be whispering.
We got attacked by the Spookies.
I will not be waiting for that.
We had to hit the recovery cabin.
We're running over to the supply shack right now.
You got like bandages on your head, like some war veteran or something.
Guys, I can't believe this.

(51:53):
You know, it's a lot easier to run without talking.
I know, but the suds gang's got to know.
This is going to be huge.
And you, you finish up your video there.
Just as you guys are getting to the doors of the supply cabin, Braden quickly waves
you guys inside and then closes it behind him.
He looks out nervously.
He's like, okay, I don't think I see anything out there.

(52:14):
All right.
So as you can see, doors locked.
I've got a couple of Jerry cans here for, oh, with some gasoline in them.
And if you guys, if somebody wants to carry one, I could carry one.
I could carry both, but like, what if we run into the thing?
Like not, not to be that guy, but any holds up a baseball bat that he's already stuck

(52:35):
some spikes and nails into.
And he says, I can't beat the thing if I'm carrying Jerry cans.
Oh, if somebody else wants to take those and then that way I can act as defense.
Martin puts his hand finger to his nose really fast.
I hear it as well.
I guess.
Oh, sure.

(52:56):
I have a gun.
I have a gun.
I mean, okay, okay.
You keep the gun train ready to go.
I've got the baseball bat.
What about you?
I've got my golf clubs.
Okay.
I really don't have a weapon.
So I probably should be carrying the gas cans.
Okay.
You take a gas can.
Are you on both of them?

(53:17):
Yeah.
Oh, dude.
Hey, my hero.
Awesome.
So you take the Jerry cans.
He's got the baseball bat.
I'm going to say that Justin grabs like a pair of tennis rackets.
Wow.
Yeah.
He's not the most helpful person.
Well, he's got his whole thing of golf clubs.
Maybe you can spare a couple.
Could you spare me a golf club?
Oh, no, no, no, no.
There's got to be putters there.

(53:38):
Yeah.
Because they have a golf course.
He grabs a putter and he's like, is this one good?
No, but it's a little work for now.
Oh, wait.
You meant for beating a monster?
Oh, yeah.
It'll work fine.
Yeah.
That's what I'm concerned about.
I mean, you meant on the actual golf course because that one's not, that's pretty cheaply
made, but it's metal.
It'll do the trick.

(53:58):
Okay.
All right.
So where are we headed?
Okay.
So I looked at the map for the emergency stuff and it says that the generator is located
right here.
Any points, just a little ways inside the forest based on the park map.
This is the generator.
So basically I figure it must be out of gas, which is why the electricity goes out.

(54:20):
So we just got to refill it and we're going to go.
You know, easy peasy.
So stealth option.
Is that what we're going with?
You guys cool with that?
It's not really stealth.
If I'm wearing my golf clubs and chatterboxes, the login.
Yeah, I still have to do my ad read.
So I think we were going to do that while we're walking.
So we'll just do sprint.
All right.

(54:40):
Let's go guys.
And you guys all sprint out the door towards the forest on the eastern end of the island.
As you guys approach it, you step inside, you follow a sort of worn path that leads you
to an old rickety shed.
And there's a door.

(55:01):
I imagine Braden is probably leading this group and he reaches over.
He opens the door and inside you see this old generator.
And you can see there is a main plug.
It's a bigger plug.
It's not like your typical extension cord cable plug.
Right.
This isn't a three prong.
This is like a eight prong, like big plug.
I don't know.
I don't know.

(55:21):
I like to see stuff.
The more prongs, the more power and it has been completely disconnected from the generator.
And he goes, whoa, this isn't out of gas.
Someone disconnected that.
And just as he says this, you hear a mournful howl erupt from just like probably a hundred

(55:46):
feet away from you guys inside the trees and outsteps the shatter we silhouette of Big
Foot.

(56:11):
October 28th, Anno Domini 1586.
Harker Alley, latitude 34 degrees north, longitude 76 degrees west.
A grim discovery has been made this day.
After a protracted voyage, bearing much needed supplies for the hopeful souls who sought to
establish a foothold on this Roanoke Isle, we have arrived to find silence.

(56:36):
An unnerving absolute silence hangs heavy in the air, where we expected to find the bustling
activity of a fledgling colony.
Upon venturing ashore, a scene of utter abandonment unfolded before our eyes.
The structures they had erected stand empty, their doors ajar as if their inhabitants had

(56:57):
departed in haste.
But it is not mere absence we have found.
Scattered amongst the dwellings and in the surrounding woods lay the remains of men.
Fourteen souls by our count.
Their bones, bleached by the sun and gnawed upon by scavengers, tell a horrifying tale.
Mangled beyond recognition, their ends could not have been peaceful.

(57:22):
The chilling fear gripped my men, and indeed my own heart.
Could this be the work of the native tribes?
Had they turned upon the settlers with savagery we had not anticipated?
The thought sits ill within me, a stain upon this venture.
We have gathered the remains as best we could, offering them what little dignity remained
in hastily dug graves.

(57:44):
The manner of their demise, however, has left a palpable unease amongst the crew.
While my men searched the deserted cabins for any sign, any explanation for this tragedy,
a disquieting sensation settled upon me.
It was as if unseen eyes watched our every move from the shadow of the trees, a prickling

(58:06):
on the back of the neck, a whisper on the wind that carries no discernible words.
The very air felt heavy, charged with a silent dread.
My men, too, spoke of feeling watched, of shadows that danced at the periphery of their
vision.
There is an ill omen about this place.

(58:26):
A sense of lingering horror that chills the very marrow.
I dare not linger here longer than necessary.
As the plies we brought lie useless, their intended recipients gone to a grim fate.
With heavy hearts and a profound sense of failure, we have decided to weigh anchor and
depart this cursed isle.

(58:48):
May God have mercy on the souls lost here, and grant us better fortune in our future endeavors.
