The idea of being in control can be intoxicating, especially for trauma survivors. At some point, many of us have tried to do God's job in running our own lives. And I totally understand why. The motive is often self-protection—we want to avoid feeling powerless again. It’s part of the hypervigilance that results from trauma.
But have you ever considered that your need for control might actually be exhausting you instead of protecting you? Could it be that God has something better for you if you loosen your grip?
Today, we’re going to talk about why you can’t control your life better than God and how to begin letting go so you can experience safety and the abundant life that is possible.
