This is a solo episode with Payton where he kicks off the New Year and year 2 of the show.  After a much need month break, he shares how he spent his holidays and what steps he's taking to make some personal improvements for the coming year. One, being his current liking to a brand of non-alcoholic elixirs named Three Spirit and how enjoyable it is having so many options now that are alcohol free.

He also shares with the audience his new role at Spirit School as a supporting mentor.  Spirit School is the community he and Shayla met through and he has been regularly involved ever since he joined.  Now excited in growing his role and helping support other mediums and light workers on their development journeys.

He finalizes with a card reading that magically seems to continue on the messaging that he and Shayla had been tuning into over the past few months. Positive themes of fine-tuning what it is we have been manifesting.

If you're spiritually curious and wannabe a part of the conversation, then
this is the perfect space for you.
This is Souly.

(00:44):
Welcome back, Souly listeners.
It's 2024.
Happy New Year to everyone.
It feels so good to be back.
We are a couple weeks into January now, but, we had taken a little bit of a
break, from recording and doing the show.
So just to be able to spend timewith our families over the holidays.
I think it's good for everyone.

(01:04):
You can find moments throughoutyour year to really step back and
relax and just maybe do nothing.
Our lives are very busy.
So if, if it's around the holidays, great.
And if it's another time of year,I highly recommend sometimes just
taking some time away from thingsand being able to kind of recharge.
So we definitely did that, but we are excited to be back.

(01:26):
Today and to be able to reconnectwith all of you again, I am doing
this episode by myself today.
Do not worry.
Shayla will be back soon.
I cannot wait to, record with heragain and I get to check in with
her and catch up with her as well.
So.
be looking forward to that.
So, I don't know aboutwhere everyone else is.
I know in many places right now acrossthe country here and other parts

(01:50):
of the world, it is extremely cold.
So, this was a perfect time to be ableto, stay kind of cozy today and then
record a new episode for everyone.
So, I hope everyone's staying warmand staying safe in this weather.
I, what have I been doing?
I, like I said, I wentand visited my family.
That was really fun for the holidays.

(02:11):
Always good to be around.
my family, I do really enjoy that.
I still have a, uh, one of mynephews that's still young.
Still is very into the magic ofChristmas and it's really fun to get
to relive that through his eyes andthrough his experiences every year.
So I, I kind of cherish that nowas long as, as long as we, we still

(02:32):
have, we still have that going.
So I know many of you that, havechildren, you know what I'm talking
about, but I also see like the complete,uh, what is it commitment that it is
that you have to with some of these.
traditions, and I'm trying to becareful with my words in case any of
there are any ears around, but there'straditions around, uh, this holiday,

(02:54):
these holidays for, uh, the youngones that are a lot of commitment and
remembering and being creative of,of having a new scenario each day.
If you parents out thereknow what I'm talking about.
So that was.
you know, that's, it's always justkind of amazing, but it's fun to be
able to relive that through, his eyes.

(03:15):
So, uh, the holidays were great.
I did get sick.
I did get my, uh, COVID forthe second time, which it
was, it was nasty this time.
It kind of like went right for my lungs.
And I'm still I mean, that was,you know, right after Christmas
and we're a few weeks into January.
So, you know, still still recoveringas I know a lot of people are really
spread quickly, along with all theother things going around right now.

(03:36):
So, yeah, so I it was just allgood reason to again, like I
said earlier in this episode.
beginning of this episode, youknow, I just took some time to step
back and recoup and, get some rest.
Something I'm not always a New Year'sresolutioner, but I have made a
lot of life changes around January.

(03:59):
I, you know, it just feels like a goodmoment, a good time, you know, declaring
that, you know, I'm going to, try to makea new habit this, on this date, I'm going
to try to somehow better my experienceon this date, or at least focus on.
Making positive changes, youknow, as the, new year begins.
So this year I wanted to get back.

(04:21):
I've had to step back.
I love to work out.
It's been a huge part of mymental health journey, even along
with my physical health journey.
it's really good for my mentalhealth and my mental clarity.
And so I've, you know, I've been doingCrossFit or CrossFit style workout
for about five or six years now.
And I just, I love it.
A friend of mine owns the gymand it's just a great community.

(04:44):
And, it's just a great space.
but I kept getting hurt.
I kept having some issues with likemy sciatic nerve and, and all of this.
So I've, I've had to step back, uh,quite a bit, which, I've, I've been
working through, but so this as Januarycame about, I'm like, you know, I'm not
able to work out the same way I used.
So I probably need to refocus onnutrition and look at that a little

(05:04):
bit different as you know, the holidaysusually make that a little difficult
and then, you know, create a differentroutine that works for where I'm at now.
And while I'm still listening to mybody and trying to, to heal up and
trying to, take care of myself better.
So that was this year.
Another thing that I, Started, which I'vebeen doing it for a while, but, I was

(05:27):
just, I kind of came across somethingand I thought it'd be cool to share
because I know a lot of you out thereprobably have done something similar.
So, over the past couple years.
I have really changed myrelationship with drinking.
I stepped away from it for quite some timeand, you know, then when I would try to
kind of reintroduce it back in and littleor social ways or however that was, it

(05:50):
just, it just wasn't the same anymore.
And I just.
My body really, I didn't like the way thatI felt afterwards and, it just all of the
things that come along with, you know, with the can come along with drinking.
so I, you know, being January, mynewsfeed starts getting flooded
with a lot of dry January stuff.
That's, it's a very popular timeto do that for a lot of people.

(06:12):
And they have so manyof these non alcoholic.
drink options out there.
So, None of them, I never, you know, personally for me, it wasn't usually
the taste of a lot of alcohol.
That was what inspired me.
It was just that kind of goodfeeling and the social part.
and as for a lot of people, you know, and I had to, I had to really face this

(06:33):
myself and, do some self reflection, but it was also my relationship with it.
And, you know, I did at times, many times.
Uh, lean on alcohol to numb things, you know, life is difficult, life
can, you know, life throws usthings that aren't always, fun.
And then sometimes there's justother stuff that, you know,

(06:54):
we lean on certain things.
I had to kind of relook atthat with alcohol myself.
So another.
Thing I'm trying to, you know, continueto step into healthier ways of, tuning
into myself and taking care of myself.
Anyway, all of that being said, I cameacross this brand called three spirit,
which right there, I mean, I'm a psychicmedium with a podcast about spirituality.

(07:19):
And I refer to spirit a lot.
And I know they're talkingabout alcohol spirit, but
still, I was like, I like this.
I like the name.
It's already caught my eye.
Anyway, they have, theseelixirs that are very herbal.
and not in the herbal funny kind ofway, you know, they had like bartenders.
And then I don't know if likebotanist or plant people create

(07:40):
these elixirs that are alcohol free.
Drug free, all the things.
and I feel like I have to say that nowbecause there are so many non alcoholic
drinks out there that have othersubstances like THC or whatever in them.
But no, this is nothing.
It's all plants and they're delicious.
And so If, if I'm clear, theyhave three like, cocktail inspired

(08:04):
elixirs, and then they have two thatwould be like wine replacements.
Um, I, they might have moreproducts, but that's all that I saw.
So I ordered a sample ofthe three cocktail ones.
They have one that's like,it's called the livener.
It's like an upper, Then theyhave one that keeps you going.
I don't remember the name.
And then there's another one.
That's like the nightcap that's supposedto calm you down and they're delicious.

(08:27):
And I will say, especially the livener,it does give you kind of this like
little energetic buzz, not like caffeine, not like a substance of any source
of, you know, marijuana or alcohol.
It's not, it's.
But there's some like there is thislittle buzzy feeling and it's just enough.

(08:48):
It's like perfect.
So anyway, I bring that up because Ikind of, I like to share things that
I'm kind of obsessed with at the moment.
so I've, I've really enjoyed those.
So for any of you out there thateither are trying to step away a little
bit from alcohol or drinking habitsor, You know, that's just something
you don't, you know, don't do.
This would be, this is a perfectreplacement for if you do have to, if

(09:11):
you don't drink and you go into such, you know, social situations, you know,
that can be hard and uncomfortable.
And, anyway, so it's anoption if you're looking for a
different option, it's out there.
So, yeah, that was my littlenew year's resolution.
So, so far so good, but we're onlya couple, only a couple of weeks
in the, the non alcoholic part.
I, you know, I've been workingon that for a long time.
And, you know, I don't, that's not reallyso much, but, a lot of it is just, again,

(09:35):
listening in cause I've gotten sick.
I've hurt myself, you know, physically.
Um, I've had some other minor medicalthings happen over the past few months.
So I'm definitely taking some timeto like, Tune into my body, listen
to myself, take care of myself.
Cause if you don't take careof yourself, nobody else will.
Someone, I think RuPaul or somethingsaid that in a different way, but

(09:57):
it's not my quote, but it's true.
It's absolutely true.
Okay.
So some big news that I'm reallyexcited to share with everyone.
I officially accepted arole at spirit school.
So Spirit School is the, developmentplace that we've shared with you
that that's how Shayla and I met.
It was created by ourmentor, Danielle Searancke.

(10:19):
She is known as the Squamish Medium.
She has a podcast of that name.
Lots of cool things going on in her world.
They're currently starting to filma TV show about her, which is really
cool because you know, there's alot of TV shows that do reflect on
this world and they're great butthe way that she delivers it and the
way that she helps people navigatetheir development path is, is unique

(10:43):
and it's kind of, it's really cool.
So, um, I think it'll be areally cool way to showcase that
part of, uh, this world here.
So I have, taught a few classesin there, in this space.
So it's a space where youcan, uh, there's a free space.
There's also a membership space.
You can join, obviously there's going tobe more content and the membership space.

(11:05):
there's a development vault full of just.
endless hours of contentof tools on development.
so much information thatI've taught some classes.
Those are in this development vault.
just endless, endless information.
Then there are weekly, partnerpairings that you can get put into
if you are developing mediumship.

(11:25):
which is really cool.
Then she does Q and A's once a week.
there's a philosophycircle, which those I love.
It's there once a month where we'll talkabout like, you know, big topics and
everyone gets together and you get putinto these, different rooms with, with
your co students and, you know, you getto discuss these really cool, spiritual.
Topics and ideas and thoughts and opinionsand all the things, you know, as like

(11:49):
what we talk about on this show, you know, all the things, spiritual, all the woo.
so it's just a really cool space.
So I'm very excited to now, have a biggerrole with this group in this community.
I will be so weekly, thereare development circles where
developing mediums can get together.
We have a relative topic thatwe touch on for the week.

(12:11):
And then.
We will practice with each othersome technique or some skill
that goes along with that topic.
So, I will be teachingone of those every month.
So I'm really excited.
Uh, we have one, the one I'm comingup this month that I'm teaching
this month at spirit school.
It's all about, your psychic ability.
So it's the psychic AF month.
And, uh, so there's a lot ofdifferent courses and stuff and

(12:34):
talk going on about like buildingup your, your psychic skills.
So my development circle that I'm goingto teach this month is going to be kind
of wrapping together the world of angels.
Cause you know, I love divinebeings and, you know, using
that with your psychic ability.
So it's really fun.
I'm really excited.
as you can probably hear inmy voice, I'm kind of geeking

(12:54):
out over here a little bit.
So, I will be.
Teaching in there.
I will, you know, we'll see asthings kind of keep on rolling
and growing with spirit school.
What other, you know, areas I might support on.
But right now I'm just doingthe development circles.
I'm offering my readings through there.
So if you or someone you know iswilling to connect with me to do
a virtual reading, you will yeah.

(13:16):
Find me through a spirit school.
You can book an appointment with methrough there, which is really exciting.
So yeah, if you are a developing medium,I know a lot of our audience out there
is in this world in one space or another.
So, if you are out there and you'relooking for a community and you're
looking for a group of people, that's.
a safe and supportive environment, for you to help grow your skills
or, even if you just need communityand you just want other people to

(13:39):
be able to run ideas by and to meetand to collaborate with, I highly
suggest you check out spirit school.
and like I said, that isrun by the Squamish medium.
So if you Google, Google Squamishmedium, cause I think there is Some other
programs with the term spirit school.
I think we talked about thatalso on another podcast.
Uh, and it's definitely,it's the one with Danielle.

(14:01):
So anyway, very excited toshare that with all of you.
So thank you for allowingme to share that in this.
space.
I did for today.
I decided to pull a fewcards for all of us.
and I do really likewhat came through today.
The first one that, is here,it's showing me this energy.

(14:22):
This whole thing is about movingforward with something that
you're wanting to achieve orsomething you're wanting to create.
And I think I've, that's been coming up ina lot of these card polls that I've done.
for Souly over the past, few months,I now looking back, I can see
how that's kind of built forward.
So this one is about that energyof ready to create, ready to

(14:43):
roll, ready to do this thing.
It's like, there's something thatyou called upon a long time ago.
You declared I'm ready tomove in this direction.
I'm ready to create this thing.
I'm ready to change this thing.
I'm ready to move hereor whatever this is.
That energy is building and you're feelinga lot more sure about this happening.

(15:06):
However, I'm getting some messagingthrough this that you've probably
been struggling with not having allof the answers to how all of these
pieces are going to fit together.
And I know that's come upbefore in a past reading.
So, This is looking at that differentlyand suggesting to again, look at
that differently that don't letthe fear of that unknown make you

(15:29):
doubt that fire and that energythat, you know, of what's coming.
And I feel like now you're getting ata place that you're like, okay, I feel
more sure about this than whateverthat little doubt maybe was in my mind.
now I'm ready to just move forward.
And what's interesting is then what'scoming through with this is that.

(15:49):
That moment of pause and that momentof accepting what that pause is and
how that is beneficial to just not knowwhere all the pieces are going to fall,
helps you really figure out that, thatall of the pieces that you had placed
together when you first decided Sidedwhat this thing was that all of those

(16:12):
pieces still make sense moving forward.
So for example, let's say you are, youknow, you wanna start a new, career and
you know you wanna change something.
Maybe you don't know what that's gonna be.
Maybe you know you've outgrownsomething and you've declared it.
This is what I wanna create in myworld, this is what I wanna manifest.

(16:33):
As things start to manifest and unfold, all the details that you had decided you
wanted, maybe some of those details werethrough a lens of what you knew back then.
And you have much more information now,and your perspective can be much greater.
So maybe some of those pieces don'tfit anymore, but Maybe your idea,

(17:00):
the thing you wanted to create, thething you knew was coming, maybe you
weren't thinking big enough and maybenow without those limiting pieces
on it, it's become something more.
It's now a greater thing that you realize.
Maybe now I want a little more.
Maybe I want this to look differently.

(17:22):
Maybe it was the other way.
Maybe you had this very grandiose ideaand now that you've gotten closer to it,
you've realized, no, it's more perfectfor me if it's a tighter concept, if
it's more concise and not so expanded.
So it's just this feeling of reallygetting to a place where you're Fine

(17:42):
tuning what it is that you are creating.
And that feels really good, especially at the first of the year.
You know, there's, there's, as always, there's a lot of craziness going on out
there and it's probably not going to getany calmer, unfortunately, anytime soon.
It's just the world that we live in.
I don't know if the world has.
ever been calm.

(18:03):
To be honest, we have a lot of differentsources now that give us information
on a constant basis, which has notalways been the case throughout mankind,
but the world has always been chaos.
That's not an excuse and we should bedoing better, but we can't let that stop
us from the other energy that's out there.
And it is this energy of creation.

(18:23):
It's this energy of change.
It's this energy of.
Expansion, getting bigger, moving beyond some mindsets, some
limitations, all these things.
So, the last card here, I love, this one is again with, it
says I clear my energy field.
So for this, how that represents for with.

(18:44):
What I was talking was those limitingthoughts that you used to first build this
idea where probably maybe this whole ideaitself was based upon something you moved
past and something you grew from, right?
So it was like, you know, maybe something hard.
Moved you into a space thatyou were like, I need change.

(19:06):
I need to do something.
And that is what thefuel was for this idea.
But now that we're at a place thatwe're starting to see, like I said,
we're starting to see it clearer forhow it's going to best work for us.
Maybe that initial fuel.
Also, we don't need anymore because that'sall connected to, you know, it's time to

(19:26):
move past it, even though it was, it washelpful for when we had it, it helped us,
you know, it helped launch that rocket.
Maybe that's not what's going tokeep the rocket from continuing to go
higher into the sky and further outinto the expansive nestless universe.
Okay, okay, I'll reel it in.
I'll reel it in.

(19:47):
But, uh, this.
This, it just feels really good.
So I feel like this is going toresonate with a lot of you out there.
Um, please let me know if it does.
I love hearing your feedback.
