Strong Tea - Episode 42 - HIV & Me

We are so lucky to be bringing you the second episode in our Pride series with the incredible Tom Hayes-Isaacs who is a passionate HIV activist and advocate. Working across the UK and Europe he aims to both help reduce the number of new diagnoses, and improve life for those living with HIV.   Born in October 1985, Tom grew up in the the Midlands. Tom was diagnosed HIV positive on August 4th 2011, a day that changed his life, and work forever.   From the week following his diagnosis, Tom started blogging his journey – anonymously at first as UKPositiveLad. The blogs followed the ups and downs he experienced as he grappled with his new status, his fragile mental health and the minefield of sex and relationships as a newly diagnosed gay man.   Since then Tom has dedicated myself to tackling stigma and improving education around HIV, sexual health and mental health – with an aim of improving life for people living with HIV, and bringing down the number of new diagnoses.   Please check out our blog for all the links to follow Tom.
