(00:00):
Welcome back to tagline in ourfourth installment in this series.

(00:03):
So we're talking about creating aculture and a workplace environment
that everyone wants to be a part of.
Positive workplace culture happens wheneveryone works together and note that this
doesn't happen when you find and hire anew team that fits your culture, because
as we looked at it last time, hiring forcultural fit is only the starting point

(00:24):
because work has to be done on the teamas your members progress from forming to
the performing stage and part of the work.
You as the leader or business owner, you're gonna be expected to do
this, and let's create a positiveand productive work environment.
So in this episode, we're gonnaconsider a few strategies for
building a positive environment.

(00:44):
However, if you wanna explore thecomplete team management bundle, I'm
gonna add the link to access it inthe description box of this episode.
And this bundle covers all thecore areas of building high
performing teams with examples andother references and resources.
Now most leaders, they don't realizethat apart from the general company

(01:05):
culture, these are microculturesand that you have to create from
management to employee culture.
Now all of these come togetherto create the experience and the
work atmosphere, which ultimatelyimpacts your productivity.
Work cultures from naturally within theorganization they form and sometimes
to the downfall of the business.

(01:25):
So practices that promote toxicteam dynamic and work environments
make it really difficult tohire and retain good talent.
On the flip side, culture not onlyguides employees, but it also influences
customers on whether or not theywanna do business with you or not.
A positive and motivated workatmosphere can help employees feel

(01:46):
supported and encouraged and valued.
Meanwhile, an uninspiring or negative workculture can lead to decreased motivation
and burnout and poor performance.
So if you're serious about working withnothing but a high performing and engaged
team, you have to take these elements ofworkplace cultures seriously, like respect

(02:06):
and the leader's values and their actions.
And then witnessing unethicalbehavior and doing something about
it, and then benefits and even jobsecurity and learning and growth
opportunities, and also frequencyand quality of reorganization.
So what can you do to improve thework environment in your business?

(02:27):
So let's look at three ofthese three key elements.
The first thing is prioritize.
Respect.
How people are treated is thefirst determining factor for a
positive or negative workplace.
And now regardless of your status orposition, everyone needs to feel valued.
So interns are more than delegatesfor busy work, and employees are

(02:49):
more than the new confused guys.
Often those new hires bring freshperspectives that you need anyway.
The second thing is create anemployee recognition program.
Employees are more likely to stayengaged if they feel appreciated,
and this could include somethinglike offering a monthly bonus for
top performers or recognition awards.

(03:11):
For those that go and above and beyondin their role, recognition of excellent
work sets up a culture of competitiveness.
Then lastly, set goals and expectations.
Establish roles and responsibilitiesearly on so everyone knows
what's expected of them.
When expectations are communicatedclearly, it allows people to feel

(03:32):
comfortable with their job and theirresponsibilities and secure that
they're doing everything correctly.
This sense of security can helpboost morale and ensure efficiency
and completeness of task two.
Often employees join a companyonly to meet ambiguous roles.
In unavailable strategicgoals act as a compass.

(03:54):
