Episode #5....Billy gets hired by the great Otis Rush in 1966 after a spur of the moment chance encounter audition in an almost empty bar called Mother Blues. Otis decides to take Billy under his wing and become his mentor for years to follow. They explore and play Chicago's South side dive bars together leading up to later headlining the very first Ann Arbor Blues Festival with all the living Blues legends of 1969.
Episode #6....Airman 3rd class Prewitt discovers James Brown becoming obsessed with his band & his footwork frequently attending incredible live concerts from the Apollo in New York the Miami Ball park in Florida. The unique adventures in Chicago becoming a familiar face at Chicago's Regal Theater more than 60 years ago enduring a comment James makes directly to Billy from the stage.
Episode #7....On a family vacation in 1958 Billy wanders off the beaten path alone in New Orleans and discovers live music. A brand new experience in a brand new town that he will remember the rest of his life.

He meets Howlin' Wolf and Hubert Sumlin and has a life changing experience. Mother Blues also featured Buddy Guy, Magic Sam, Muddy Waters, Otis Spann, Junior Wells, and Freddie King.
Episode #9.....This episode is the intriguing story of Bobby Bland’s long history and details of his struggle to be heard. The first time Billy Prewitt saw Bobby was in a bar in 1964 at the famous “Harlem Square” in Miami where Sam Cooke reportedly got his start.
