A surviving staple on the Chicago blues scene his podcast takes you on a colorful storybook journey through his long life in his own words, stopping off at the places he’s been & everywhere in between. Telling about the people he’s met & played with leading up to his Emmy winning documentary, the only blues documentary to ever win an Emmy called Talk A Blues Streak ”The Documentary.” An accomplished lead guitarist and master of the blues harmonica, he has secured his place in Chicago musical history as he continues to play live through every shade of blues. Episode #5....Billy gets hired by the great Otis Rush in 1966 after a spur of the moment chance encounter audition in an almost empty bar called Mother Blues.  Otis decides to take Billy under his wing and become his mentor for years to follow. They explore and play Chicago's South side dive bars together leading up to later headlining the very first Ann Arbor Blues Festival with all the living Blues legends of 1969.
