A surviving staple on the Chicago blues scene his podcast takes you on a colorful storybook journey through his long life in his own words, stopping off at the places he’s been & everywhere in between. Telling about the people he’s met & played with leading up to his Emmy winning documentary, the only blues documentary to ever win an Emmy called Talk A Blues Streak ”The Documentary.” An accomplished lead guitarist and master of the blues harmonica, he has secured his place in Chicago musical history as he continues to play live through every shade of blues. After attending Woodstock in 69 Richie Havens shines a light to make Billy take up permanent residence for 2 frigid Chicago winters in an an old van (before it was fashionable), taking "living on the road" to another dimension. Still determined to become a solo artist Steve Goodman asks Billy to play harmonica on his song called "City of New Orleans" that turned out to be a big hit for another featured Woodstock solo...
Episode #4....A recording dream unfolds with "So Many Barriers" laying down tracks on a hot summer night in Chicago behind the scenes. Meeting these 3 recording legends and spending weeks improvising blues licks in 1969.

Episode #5....Billy gets hired by the great Otis Rush in 1966 after a spur of the moment chance encounter audition in an almost empty bar called Mother Blues. Otis decides to take Billy under his wing and become his mentor for years to follow. They explore and play Chicago's South side dive bars together leading up to later headlining the very first Ann Arbor Blues Festival with all the living Blues legends of 1969.
Episode #6....Airman 3rd class Prewitt discovers James Brown becoming obsessed with his band & his footwork frequently attending incredible live concerts from the Apollo in New York the Miami Ball park in Florida. The unique adventures in Chicago becoming a familiar face at Chicago's Regal Theater more than 60 years ago enduring a comment James makes directly to Billy from the stage.
Episode #7....On a family vacation in 1958 Billy wanders off the beaten path alone in New Orleans and discovers live music. A brand new experience in a brand new town that he will remember the rest of his life.

Episode #8....In 1965 a 20 year old aspiring musician wanting to be a part of the blues scene is fresh in Chicago and accidently discovers a brand new club called "Mother Blues" as he searches to audition for anybody. He meets Howlin' Wolf and Hubert Sumlin and has a life changing experience. Mother Blues also featured Buddy Guy, Magic Sam, Muddy Waters, Otis Spann, Junior Wells, and Freddie King.
Episode #9.....This episode is the intriguing story of Bobby Bland’s long history and details of his struggle to be heard. The first time Billy Prewitt saw Bobby was in a bar in 1964 at the famous “Harlem Square” in Miami where Sam Cooke reportedly got his start. Follow Bobby's career in great detail through his ups and downs and listen to his original songs along the way.
