This week I had some of my own assumptions and prejudices well and truly challenged when I spoke to Skye Morden, who came out as a transgender police officer some years ago. The massive level of support that Skye has received from her police colleagues is in stark contrast to the level of hate that she has received at the hands of some sections of the media and from online trolls.
