Avra Merritt is a seasoned educator with a master's degree who has dedicated her career to secondary math and volleyball coaching. She has a proven track record of success, having piloted an intervention program for Waco ISD and being recognized as a top tier math teacher. Additionally, Avra has shared her expertise with colleagues through workshops at the Conference for the Advancement of Mathematics Teaching. Beyond her professional pursuits, she has also volunteered with NAMI, helping families cope with mental illness. As she enters a new phase of life as a mother, grandmother, and empty nester, Avra continues to pursue her personal interests in poetry writing, mental health, and self-care.
