The Enoch Brown School Massacre occurred in the year 1764, during Pontiac's War in colonial Pennsylvania. Three Native American warriors attacked a small frontier schoolhouse near present-day Greencastle, killing schoolmaster Enoch Brown and nine children. Today, the event is remembered as one of the earliest and most tragic school massacres in American history.
