Recently, I got to talk with Matt Tripet, the CEO and Founder of The Fly Program. The mission of The Fly Program is to raise awareness of depression, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and suicide in the Australian male community, facilitating unique programs and awareness campaigns that focus on education and peer support through pathways of adventure, mountain biking and the disciplines of both fly and conventional fishing methods (alpine, coastal and Inland).
The organization is focused on providing resources to help Australian men to find a release and increase their quality of life, whether directly, or indirectly touched by these threads of mental illness and instituting an new outlet – participation in the natural world as a reprieve from the day-to-day challenges too many men face in our community. The concept of The Fly Program is very unique and it is built around four key components Explore, Cast, Discover and Recover To find out more about The Fly Program or to make a donation, visit: flyprogram.org.au This episode is brought to you by Fisho's Tackle World Hervey Bay, Mako Eyewear, Manic Tackle Project and Garmin Australia. On Purpose with Jay Shetty
