In the final episode of Series 2 of the Barossa Podcast for 2023, we speak with the multi-talented Joel Zimmermann.
We first met Joel in the early days of the 100 Barossa Artist project. Back in 2020, he was already well known for his metal sculptures and while we thought he was branching into plastics, the truth is slightly different, more of a full circle perhaps. Joel works across multiple mediums, videography, plastics, metal and is an accomplished musician. His story to now is great listening, who knows what chapters are still to come.
Joel currently has work for sale in the Peter Lehmann Cellar Door and many projects planned for 2024.
The Barossa podcast project has been made possible by the support of Country Arts SA, Foundation Barossa and the PLAET.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
