Welcome to Episode 11 of the Breaks-down Podcast! In this episode, we have an exciting lineup of topics to discuss, covering everything from hot dogs to ESPN Layoffs to NBA Free Agency.
First up, we do a little housekeeping and get into Domingo German's perfect game and the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Competition. We discuss Joey Chestnut suckin' down some hot dogs, Kobiyashi, and the bowler hat man who was getting everyone hype. Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Competition is must see TV, it's downright disgusting and sometimes hard to watch, but still, it's incredible. We finish up housekeeping with a little bit of USMNT and soccer chat about the latest transfer market news.
Next, we discuss the downfall of ESPN, the future of sports TV, and the recent layoffs at ESPN, a topic that has been making headlines in the sports broadcasting industry. We get into who we think is untouchable even though ESPN claims there are no "sacrificial lambs". SVP, Stephen A, Wilbon, and Pat McAfee are all untouchable and that's just scratching the surface.
Next up, is an NBA Free Agency Buy, Sell, or Hold. We touch on the major moves that have reshaped the landscape of THIS LEAGUE. We also discuss the rule changes that the NBA is testing out in Summer League, the flopping technical foul and the new challenge system.
As always, everyone's favorite segment, Random Awards. We give out the Like Mike Shoes Award, the Forgotten Unicorn Award, the John Collins Award, and the Junk Drawer Award. Maybe our most contentious award segment ever, as Tom and Adam were just nowhere close to being on the same page. Not even in the same book for some of this segment. Lastly, we finish up with some NBA Jersey Sales Trivia.
Join us for Episode 11 of the Breaks-down Podcast as we break down these captivating topics and provide our expert insights. Don't miss out on the latest sports news, analysis, and trivia. Like, Review, Comment, Subscribe, Etc. Enjoy Episode 11 of The Breaks-down.

Cardiac Cowboys
The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
