Welcome to Episode 16 of the Breaks-down. Join us as we unpack the disappointing performance of the US Women's National Team in the World Cup. We question their lack of goal-scoring prowess and delve into the culture clash between the older and younger players. Switching to baseball, we get into the brawl (base brawl) between Tim Anderson and Jose Ramirez, the punch heard round the world, and the importance of having your teammates back. Of course, we touch on Tim Anderson's sad boy hours on twitter.

We go on a bit of a tangent where we discuss whether a sports villain must also be a winner. After the tangent, we get into some hockey as we discuss the recent three-team trade that sent Erik Karlsson to the Pittsburgh Penguins, and share our thoughts on the state of the Penguins and the careers of Malkin and Crosby. Not forgetting the wrestling fans, we look back at Summer Slam and the continuation of Roman Reigns' 1,070 day WWE Championship reign and his unexpected victory over Jay Uso.

For the Meat of today's episode we did some QB tiers. Our tiers are Patrick Mahomes, Elite QBs, Franchise QBs, Young and Promising, Ryan Tannehill and other Versions of Ryan Tannehill, and lastly, QBs that might as well have been drafted by the Jets.

As always, we finish up with our Random Awards Segment, and Last Take Worst Take. Thanks for tuning in to this weeks episode of the Breaks-down.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
