day who said, oh, I got to get it, you know, pull the insulation out and get new insulation. Why?

It's old. It's not working. That idea, that's what most people think,
as you mentioned, but it was four inches of healthy insulation left.
So we're going to put on top of that and get them to an R38,
which is 17 inches. And he was so thankful to save some money on removal and just make it better.
Yeah. You know, you might have some moisture issues because of a broken pipe.

You might have some rodent issues and the top layer can often be taken out.
And then you put down the new stuff.
And what's nice about putting down the new stuff, it's like putting a new fresh
coat of paint on a wall. You don't see the wall. You see the paint.
So when you go up there, you're going to see a bunch of white fluffy stuff,
which is a lot brighter than maybe the old brown or pink stuff that turned brown. Right.
And that's why he thought it was used up because it was so dirty.

Let's talk about some details of insulation to give people an idea of how inexpensive it is.
Ordinarily, the price for insulation is $1.76 a square foot for a six-inch ad, right?
$1.76 for six inches. So picture this, everybody.

Picture a square foot but like a cube that's 12 inches by 12 inches by six inches.
So it's half a cube, half a cube.

And then you put down the new stuff.

Okay. But don't you agree? Just because it's a new house doesn't mean it has
the proper insulation and certainly probably doesn't have the best ventilation. Absolutely.
They're building those homes with the minimum of everything. Get it to code. Let it go.
