Nachdem wir ihn bisher sträflichst vernachlässigt haben, wird es langsam Zeit für uns uns einmal dem Süden der USA zuzuwenden. Anfang der 90er Jahre war im Prinzip noch alles "Hip-Hop-Entwicklungsland", was südlich einer imaginären Linie von Los Angeles nach Philadelphia lag. Dennoch war das kleine Städtchen East Point im Speckgürtel von Atlanta damals der Geburtsort eines der prägendsten Duos der gesamten Hip-Hop-Kultur: Outkast.
Wir haben uns voller Vorfreude das Sophomore-Album der beiden Rapper Big Bei und André3000 rausgepickt und philosophieren darüber, was Atlanta mit Aliens zu tun hat, was es bedeutet einen völlig neuen Sound zu definieren, wie aus dem Nichts Stars entstehen können und was die '95er Source-Awards damit zu tun haben. Dazu hören und besprechen wir natürlich gute Musik und freuen uns diesmal noch mehr als sonst auf eure Meinungen und Kommentare. Gönnt euch!
