MTE Orlando - 2025 People Of The Year Awards

 

I was recently discussing the MTE Orlando People of the year awards with some fellow PDR Techs and we came up with a list of nominees for this year that we all agreed on.  This is my personal list and recommendation for these specific awards, if you agree please vote for them.  If not please vote however you see fit.

Tom Nations Memorial Award ( PDR Person of the Year)

 

Dave Schaulat a.k.a. Big Dent Dave has been a pillar of the industry for decades.  He has personally advised me in many situations along with countless others.  He helped improve my business before I ever even met him in person with his Big Dent Pricing Matrix, that I first heard about on PDR Tool Time.  His knowledge and willingness to share said knowledge has helped PDR Techs for years and I strongly feel it should be rewarded.

Sid Emmett Memorial Award  (PDR Tool Person of the Year)

 

Chris Presley     This nomination is near and dear to my heart, Chris Presley is the head tool maker at A-1 Tool.  He has made so many of the tools that we use as PDR Techs everyday. Not only for A-1 Tool and Dent Reaper but, Excalibur Tools, Dent Slayer Tools, Anson PDR, and so many more.  Chris’s passion and craftsmanship shines through on every tool he makes.  Most people don’t understand that each tool is hand crafted from bending the stock, to shaving and polishing.  His passion and craftsmanship is what allows us to pursue ours.  The tools he makes everyday allow PDR Technicians everywhere to do our jobs more efficiently.  Please take a moment to vote for Chris.

Rufus Lowry Award ( PDR Mentor of the Year )

 

Gene Fetty   Going all the way back to his days of The Marketing Minute featured on The PDR College Podcast, Gene has always been an excellent mentor and teacher within the PDR Industry.  He carried that forward to his many demonstrations at Dent Meetups across the country and his train and videos in collaboration with KECO.  Now with his recently started AAI https://www.autoappearanceinstitute.com/ he continues the tradition of helping techs the most effective and efficient way to complete amazing repairs.  Gene’s affect on my career cannot be overstated and I truly believe he is a very deserving person for this award.
