Chris Bache takes us on a journey exploring what he calls the Diamond Light and the Diamond Soul. He writes, “Light has always been recognized as a signature of the Divine. It is a universal constant in our spiritual traditions—a vast radiance fusing all knowledge, love, and power. Mystics attest to it; those who have nearly died attest to it.” When his journey took him deeper into an exquisite, seamless Field of Light, he explained how the light completely saturated his life: “The Light penetrated every cell of my being and all the earthly forms around me. We all breathed this Light. We are this Light. All our experience is seamless Light.” Join us in this riveting conversation and learn about the Diamond Soul.
ABOUT OUR GUEST:
Chris Bache, Ph.D. has spent his life moving between the worlds of academia and psychedelic exploration. Trained as a philosopher of religion at Brown University, he became convinced early in his career that psychedelics represented a revolution not only in clinical psychology but in philosophy as well. By giving us systematic access to dimensions of consciousness that lie beyond space-time reality, these sacraments are triggering a turning point in western thought and driving the emergence of a new academic discipline – psychedelic philosophy.
Accordingly, between 1979 and 1999, he did 73 therapeutically structured, high-dose LSD sessions following a strict protocol. He pushed his psychedelic practice beyond therapeutic healing and spiritual awakening to explore the deep structure of the universe itself. He then spent another 20 years digesting his experiences before publishing LSD and the Mind of the Universe. Chris’ journey moved him often beyond linear time into Deep Time, beyond personal transformation into the arc of humanity’s collective transformation, giving him prophetic visions of an emerging global crisis and the imminent birth of a radically transformed Future Human.
Chris is professor emeritus in the department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Youngstown State University in Ohio where he taught for 33 years. He is also adjunct faculty at the California Institute of Integral Studies, Emeritus Fellow at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, and on the Advisory Council of Grof Legacy Training. An award-winning teacher and international speaker, he has written four books: Lifecycles - a study of reincarnation in light of contemporary consciousness research; Dark Night, Early Dawn - a pioneering work in psychedelic philosophy and collective consciousness; The Living Classroom, an exploration of collective fields of consciousness in teaching; and LSD and the Mind of the Universe, the story of his 20-year journey with LSD. He lives in Weaverville, NC, with his wife Christina Hardy, a professional astrologer and past-life therapist. His website is chrisbache.com
