Too often, "experts" and those who would offer parenting "wisdom" do so without thinking about those who possess a neurological system that is wired quite differently. Neurodivergent folks don't always respond as we would think, and sometimes not as we would want. In this episode, Yarona and Gina talk about how parenting must change and adapt for neurodivergent children.
Gina is an educator, international speaker, podcaster and more. Her son Sam was diagnosed with Autism at 4. Gina and her husband looked at his diagnosis as a different way of thinking, focusing on Sam skills and locating the resources needed to build his path to success. Sam’s podcast, “Autism Rocks and Rolls” led to projects and events run through their non-profit: “Autism Rocks and Rolls Corporation.” Gina’s podcast follows their mission of destigmatizing Autism.
