(00:01):
so we we left Washington not based on
economics but based on uh you know there
was a lot of stuff going on in our area
of crime and things like that and we
decided and and really I feel like we
were led by faith to move we put the
money aside and said what's right for
our family and we moved to a place we

(00:22):
had no friends we knew nobody we we did
it all in
faith
welcome to the fired up Podcast I'm your
host Brad Reba fired up is where we talk
to entrepreneurs and join them on their
journey to see how they did it and
scaled their business and along the way

(00:44):
we're going to learn about how we can
apply this to grow our business so fired
up is sponsored by reignite reignite is
a 10x certified business coaching
program that helps Tech entrepreneurs to
use the relationships in their business
to get more referrals and through those
referrals generate 30% more sales in 90
days or less reignite is the way to 10x

(01:05):
your business and today my guest Nick Wy
is 10 Xing the training business he is
the president of Mammoth training
Solutions welcome Nick to the show hey
thanks Brad good to be here great to
have you and and I really appreciate you
coming on I I know there's a a lot going
on in your world we're going to hear all
about it but uh I also should say that

(01:27):
you and I as you can see from from your
up over there are 10x certified business
coaches so got that going as well I'd
love to hear about some of that as we're
talking but you know maybe you can kind
of just get us acquainted with you and
your business and sort of tell us how
you got it all
started um sure so I live in Boise Idaho

(01:48):
Eagle Idaho actually de Pacific I moved
here in July and I spent about eight and
a half years with a Products Company uh
selling automotive aftermarket products
and and that was based in western
Washington and originally in California
when I moved here I couldn't move that
business here they you know they
wouldn't allow me to fly back and forth

(02:09):
and so you know I had to say goodbye and
on July 20th I uh started from nothing
scratch right um we had some money in
the bank but I the business was there
was no business there was no uh logo
there was no anything like that yet and
so I started on July 20th of 2023
started by purchasing the grant own

(02:30):
license you know system or business
coaching system uh went through that 75
hours of training and then showed up in
Miami September 12th and 13th and that's
kind of what I figure as my launch date
although I was you know trying to do
some things before that sure so yeah I
really have just gotten on off the
ground and uh it's going really well so

(02:51):
far so that's great that's great and I
mean this wasn't the first business
venture for you but you you definitely
took a leap into something that I think
is in your background and what you've
done but you also took a a different
turn with the business coaching tell me
a little bit about why you chose what
you did and and you know what's going on
with that business
now sure so you know in my in my nine

(03:13):
years of Automotive product sales most
of our time was actually spent in
training and Consulting for them um so
we would teach them how to approach
clients how to educate clients how to
provide value for clients and it was a
natural fit because I've been following
grant for you know eight or nine years
and when I when I stepped out on my own
I just said you know what I really want

(03:34):
to go serve other people every day that
was my that still is my Mantra right
every day I get up and I go who can I
serve today who can I help and grants
you know programs have helped me
immensely I mean it changed my
completely changed my life from you know
coming out of high school being an
automotive tech truck Tech and then
getting into sales once I got into sales

(03:55):
I mean I I found Grant actually online
and just started listening to his free
seminars which I still watch today and
listen to and it completely I it just
resonated with me right right so I was
able to you know create this you know
sales career you know from a person that
was a technician and I never talked to

(04:15):
customers in my life before yeah and I
mean it just had done so much for me I
wanted to pass that on to other people
so okay and have you found that's a
common challenge with others in your
field just not really having that
customer interaction down to the point
where you can add value you know your
product but you don't know how to talk
to customers and and really help them

(04:35):
get the experience they
need yeah absolutely uh you know coming
from a technician background Brad maybe
maybe 2% of Automotive or truck
technicians can transition into what
I've done I mean it's a very very small
percentage and once they do they've got
to you know get a framework get you know

(04:56):
communication skills they've got to do
all those things and there's not a lot
of of that training out there still even
today and so you know having a framework
of how to go from nothing to being able
to you know monetize your product a lot
of people don't know how to do that I
mean many many people just don't know
how to do that so sure sure well and
that's certainly a challenge for them

(05:17):
and then you know in terms of your
business as you're growing there's got
to be challenges along the way for you
getting this thing started and up and
running and established and scaling what
have been like the one or two challenges
that stick out in your mind
the biggest challenge for me was and
just to let kind of people know how I
live my life okay basically any new

(05:38):
thing that that I'm going to do I sit
down and make a list okay of what are
what are the hardest things to do the
hardest things go at the top of the list
that like the last things I want to do
they go up here and then I prioritize
everything backwards to the easiest so
the very first thing on my list was uh
networking in person with in Industries

(05:59):
that I had never been in like people
that I've never talked to like lawyers
you know like um you know CEOs of
furniture companies those types of
Industries right I've had been an
automotive for 25 years sure so my very
first skill and goal was going out of my
comfort zone and meeting people in these
networking groups like BNI uh Chamber of

(06:21):
Commerce um you know Kanas where I can
get around other business owners that
are totally different and in totally
different spaces so I could get over
that
uncomfortability and grow right so
that's what I've been spending my time
doing mostly is meeting people that are
in a bunch of different Industries
because as Grant says and I learned this

(06:43):
a long time ago from him his biggest
mistake was staying in the segment he
was in that's what he says a million
times over right and so I just wanted to
diversify that was the hardest thing for
me so far yeah and and so it's all about
being
comfortable and being uncomfortable
right right getting comfortable I said I
should say it's all about getting
comfortable being uncomfortable and

(07:05):
there's there's no easy way to do that I
mean everybody's got their different
techniques but you know what have you
done to make it something where you can
stay motivated and continue to go into
that discomfort but find Value and and
continue just you know making the
strides that you have in your

(07:25):
business yeah I mean every day I have to
make a decision
every every single day I wake up I have
to make a decision to go out of my
comfort zone to help someone that I
don't know and and to be uncomfortable
it's not it's not an easy thing you know
a lot of folks think that guys that can
talk guys and girls that can get up and
talk on stage and and educate people and

(07:47):
inspire people they have no you know
limitations no fear and no and that's
not true it's actually uncomfortable for
quite some time when you're doing that
in a new space so you just have to keep
making that decision to do it yeah just
repetition right the practice of doing
it enough time starts to make it a

(08:07):
little bit easier and you just have to
keep that going um and keep that
momentum it seems like yeah that's what
I found yeah absolutely so as that
Journey has continued you know if you
think back to things that you've learned
along the way as there anything that you
would do differently kind of sitting
where you are

(08:28):
today no I I actually I'm pretty you
know we're not blowing it up quite yet
but I'm building that foundation so
strong so firm that you know once we
start to go big there there's not going
to be anything that will stop us you
know nothing that will stop us right
because we're meeting people on the
ground you got to remember Brad I also

(08:49):
moved to a brand new city right so I
don't I didn't know anybody here new
area new business you know a lot of new
market right cuz you're you're getting
uncomfortable
working with people yeah yeah so a lot
of that um and yeah yeah hitting the
ground and meeting these people in Boise
in the area you know and and getting out

(09:11):
of my comfort zone in that way is just
it's been so fulfilling because I've met
I've probably met 150 people in four
months and uh and they're not in the
same old same old you know they're new
segments sure okay and and so I get that
like sometimes the struggle is is
there there's value in the struggle it's
it's been rewarding because you've

(09:33):
learned something on the other side but
there's got to be something that you're
like man I learned that the hard way and
if I had it again I would do it this way
or I would you know change my Approach
slightly anything like that that sticks
out in your
mind you know Brad I I spent the last
nine or 10 years studying not only the
the segment I was in studying other

(09:53):
businesses looking at other business
opportunities and so I learned a ton of
things on the on that rad Road sure and
one of the things that I did to make
sure I didn't get into a situation where
I was like I wish I didn't do that was
I'm not very internet Savvy or I'm
internet Savvy but I don't build
websites okay and one of the most
important things in business today is

(10:14):
having at least a landing page right uh
having products on there that you can
you know click on a button and you can
and you can either subscribe to
something or you can do an assessment or
you can pay for something so I actually
brought in a business partner at 30%
ownership to start Mammoth because I
wanted her help in that segment in that
Arena and so her name is Danielle

(10:35):
Wallace she's out of Witchita Kansas and
you know it's been it's been awesome
honestly it's been phenomenal that's
great yeah and so it's good to partner
with people that have strengths where
you have gaps and I think beyond that
sometimes it's it's hard for people to
find good partners good business
partners that can help them scale what

(10:57):
is this someone that you knew before or
were you able leverage some some
networking tell me a little bit about
the process and and anything that you
would offer as advice on how to find a
good business
partner well that's a a great question I
mean as far as advice on finding a
person you don't it's very hard to just
find the perfect business partner

(11:18):
Business Partnership is very very uh
tumultuous at times and you have to be
extremely careful I mean you think about
that like like you're getting married
okay if you're not if you're not that
aligned on your business practices then
you probably shouldn't be in partnership
with them as a business partner um but
this is a person that I knew from my
previous uh company the
corporation uh we were in a private

(11:40):
distributor but the corporation in
Witchita this person was a marketing uh
you know expert at that company and so I
actually originally approached her um to
help me do this as a side project for
her and it was going to be my full-time
deal right and so she agreed to that and
we we worked that all out and then she
ended up leaving that company

(12:01):
unbeknownst to me at the time she was
actually going to do a psychology degree
so she ended up leaving the company and
but but before she left she was working
a lot on the weekends and after hours
building out you know our our website
Bas okay wow yeah and so you know
someone that you built that trust with
over time and have worked with maybe

(12:22):
that's the person that in in others that
are trying to think about how do I start
a business or how do I you know find
that person going to help me be the
other half of what I need in that
partnership sounds like you're saying
you got to start with who you know but
also people that have developed a trust
and Alignment along the way were the two
things I got out of what you

(12:43):
said yeah yeah yeah so I mean I would
recommend people look for someone that
they've known five to 10 years that they
never thought about looking for okay
that's good somebody they know really
well you know sure sure well and and the
other thing that you said said too is
aligned with your goals right so you
have to really make sure that you both

(13:04):
understand what's involved here that
there's going to be highs right there's
going to be lows there's going to be
parts of the business that that get
there's going to be struggles and you
both need to be on the same page often
like like you said any other
relationship right that where you
understand what's at stake together but
you're going to take that journey and
and support each other it's great that

(13:25):
you've got that in your in your business
partner yeah I'm super excited to have
her she's doing a great job if you if
you've looked at our website uh it looks
it looks really good so yeah yeah you're
definitely you know getting a a
consistent message out there and I think
that the branding and everything that
you've developed um it's just it it

(13:46):
looks top-notch for sure and I think
there's a lot to be said for um what
you've built so far but maybe there's
something that you look back on beyond
the partnership and say like this is my
proud moment or this is is the thing
that that sticks out in your mind is
there anything that you can stand back
and you know get away from the the
busyness of of trying to grow and scale

(14:06):
of business and say this is something
I'm proud
of yeah um you know I'm I'm proud of the
fact so we we left Washington not based
on economics but based on uh you know
there was a lot of stuff going on in our
area of crime and things like that and
we decided and and really I feel like we

(14:27):
were led by faith to move and I'm really
proud of the fact that we instead of
just staying and dealing with what we
knew wasn't right we put the money aside
and said what's right for our family and
we moved to a place we had no friends we
knew nobody and we gave it you know we
we did it all in faith and said Lord

(14:48):
you're going to take care of us I know
this is the right thing that's what I'm
honestly most proud of yeah because not
very many people can do that that's true
that's true and you have to stay with
that Faith the whole way through it even
when things look like they may not work
out the way that you intended um you
just have to kind of keep keep that and
stay strong um and you definitely have

(15:10):
that that's been great to see yeah it's
awesome so man you've come this far
what's what's next for Mammoth training
and uh you know your your business and
partnership yeah so our goal is to hit
$15 million in sales in with Mammoth
training and we need to hit we need to
um help you know $5,000 just to get to

(15:32):
$10 million so that's our goal our first
goal is to serve 5,000 people at minimum
and that'll help us get to about 10
million in sales our first year goal is
about a million dollars in sales and and
coaching so we need 500 people to join
our program um you know at a minimum
okay we have several different programs
so our goal is really to just continue

(15:53):
developing the curriculum uh continue to
educate clients really our goal is to
change people's lives Brad that's really
what it is um you know our first two
clients can I tell you about our first
two clients absolutely yeah I'd love to
hear it yeah so first client uh you know
I got in about six weeks after after you
know paying the bill right for the

(16:13):
license I got our first client um that
first client did two sess two sessions
with me and we were able to engineer him
a code call script both for iners and
knocking on doors and he went out and
sold more in like 3 days than he had
sold in the last four or five weeks he
had done 10,000 in his business from

(16:35):
April 1st to October 5th is right in
there oh September 5th is I'm sorry and
from September 5th to about the 12th
when we went to class you know he sold
four or five new customers that are
going to turn into you know probably
$30,000 a year in
sales um second client that we had his

(16:56):
name is Corey he owns a cyber security
company and a brand new product he had
never gotten it out there um he he had
some free clients you know testing it
but he had never gone after big accounts
sure and he he just landed a a
commitment from a $500 million company
based on three sessions that we did in
engineering his presentation you know

(17:18):
his um value proposition you know Co
calling strips and everything like that
and he's going to land a $500 million
account so that's what I want to do for
people I literally want to change
people's lives because I have literally
engineered the way to do it you know yep
and a lot of that's based on gc's you
know training over the years and a lot

(17:40):
of that is my own I actually have a
proprietary framework so that's great
and and that's really the power of
having a system in place rather than
have to rely on the individual it's a
system that your clients are able to put
in place but it it doesn't always rely
on them once they do that they could
also replicate it right and scale from
there plug other people in their
business but those are some great

(18:01):
success stories it's it's amazing to
hear um those sound like some pretty
proud moments I would say for sure yeah
that's it's pretty pretty exciting yeah
it's great to see your clients succeed
along with you so if others want to take
advantage of this system and find out
what they can do to work with you what's
the best way for them to get in
touch uh my cell phone 253 844 8067 give

(18:26):
me a call you can also find me at
Mammoth trinings solutions.com and you
can email me at Mammoth trinings
Solutions atgmailcom so those three ways
are the best ways I'm also on LinkedIn
uh you know I actually had a client hit
me up on or a prospect hit me up on
LinkedIn well actually wasn't a prospect
it's just some person named Dwayne that
hit me up last week on Wednesday and I

(18:49):
said hey let's go to lunch he lived in
town we went to lunch had a great
conversation and we're talking about
bringing him in under our elite pro my
Elite program so so prettyy excited
about that that's great yeah it's it's
really when you reach out and contact
people and have success and that gets
out to your network that effect starts

(19:09):
to really impact your business and who
reaches out to you so that's that's
great to see you having so much success
and uh I'm really excited to continue
following your story Nick and see where
you go next no thank you Brad I really
appreciate it yeah that's great well
thanks for being on um it was really
great to get your story and just to hear
a little bit more about your journey um

(19:31):
and so we're going to leave it there and
we'll come out and say this is the fired
up Podcast and I'm your host Brad
reminding you to stay fired up and do
something
great myw
up up everybody
