Two years sober. I couldn’t go two days sober for 10+ years. Sobriety saved my life. I am crying typing this. I can remember all those lonely drunk walks home where I didn’t want to be here anymore. Alcohol is what I used to numb the pain of my depression and suicidal thoughts. Honestly I wouldn’t be alive if I didn’t get sober. I don’t even recognize that person. But these tears are turning into happy tears. I made the change to save my life. February 4th will always be a special day for me. To anyone out there struggling like me, I promise sobriety will change and maybe even save your life. You deserve to love yourself and be happy.
