The Mike O’Brien Show

Today we have Chris Cillizza from “The Tony Kornheiser Show” and formally CNN. We talk about his relationship with Tony and the show itself, 90’s college basketball and how coverage of politics has changed over the years. Jeff begins the show explaining his battle with a stomach virus, being a trooper, and going to his moms birthday. He tells us a long story about how he upset his mom, but never says what he did. Mike doesn’t like going to dinner when friends are in town, and starts breaking down the 48 jobs he has had in his 43 years on this earth.

Mike and Jeff solve the homeless crisis in America. Mike is planning a trip to San Francisco for his Lady Friends brother’s wedding, and then LA to try and become famous. We remember Jeff’s dog Bella, and we discuss how children become good at drawing so we look at Jeff’s drawing of a barn and an interesting silo he made when he was 14. Mike and Jeff talk with Marc Bertrand about his rise to the afternoon host in one of the biggest markets in America. The best sports talk callers, and of course why everyone hates BC and how to make UMASS athletics better. 

Dan joins the show and tells of his comedy travels last week which all ended badly. Dan and Mike discuss why Doug Guertin doesn’t respond on their group text anymore. The gang then discuss one topic they love and one topic they hate. And end show the show sharing stories of interacting with mentally unstable people.

Mike and Jeff talk about children taking piano lessons, a fire truck appears outside Mike’s apartment. Jeff talks about his time working The World Series, and Mike rants about trash sneakers, his trip to the laundromat where he stopped somebody trying to overthrow the government, and how his sunroof he never uses almost destroyed his car. Mike rants about protests and Jeff’s inner Florida was coming out.

Mike and Jeff talk about Jeff’s Jeep and charities, how mike has profited off of his Boston Globe article and how he is talked about in journalism classes at BU. Mike then explains what he did on his summer break and how Bruce Springsteen owes him 5,000 dollars. Mike also explains why he would beat anyone at a freestyle swimming race

Jeff tells Mike how he gave a topless Aaron Gordon a ride home after the Nuggets won the NBA finals, and then attended the after party at his house! Mike talks about how he and his roommate tried to move a couch out of his North End apartment at 11:00 at night.

Jeff and Mike talk about Mikes road trip back from Florida and Mike’s wedding outfit of shorts and flip- flops at a day before cocktail hour. Jeff accuses mike of being a stalker, and they welcome Mike’s close personal friend Tom Caron from NESN on the show to talk about the Red Sox upcoming season and his career in broadcasting.

Mike talks about screwing up hotel bookings on his road trip to Florida, Jeff doesn’t know where Boston is... or their subways, they also google a lot of things.

Mike and Jeff discuss the amazing article about Mike in the Boston Globe. Jeff had to rake leaves in Orlando Florida, and then proceeds to sing Karaoke songs for some reason. Jeff and Mike welcome Dan Boulger and Doug Guertin so they can square up gambling debts that Doug owes Dan. And Dan and Mike talk about how they became hero’s on a trip back from a show.
