This episode its some NEW MUSIC! When I say the name Andrew Farriss, like me, I bet your mind instantly goes to INXS, how could it not! Andrew along with Michael Hutchence were the band’s main songwriters. And INXS is the soundtrack to many of our growing up years, mine included. I can hear the first note, played by the first violin in Never Tear us apart and instantly be transported somewhere, usually with tears. Man that’s a good song. And that’s how great a songwriter Andrew Farriss is. Whether its with INXS or collaborating with other artists or now as a solo country artist. Late last year Andrew released two single, "Come Midnight" and "Good Momma Bad". They were supposed to be part of a bigger project, but ….you know….COVID… That’s not the end of the solo trek through country music though, Andrew has just released an EP "Love Makes The World" with the lead single off it "All The Stars Are Mine" available now. Wanna hear more about it? Of course you. In this episode we’ll say hello to Andrew Farriss….stay to the end too….I may have possibly stumbled on a new genre of music for Andrew to try and if he does, well you heard it here first! Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
