Dr. Ammerman earned her undergraduate degrees in English and Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Mary believes that all people possess both the power and the ability to heal themselves. To assist with this process, she uses a combination of mindfulness cognitive skills training, acceptance and commitment therapy, neurofeedback, applied neuroscience, warmth, and humor in her practice. Mary also teaches introductory neurofeedback courses with Dr. Hamlin and mentors other neurofeedback providers throughout the U.S, Canada, and Australia.

We explore how clinical neurofeedack is changing the way we think about things like developmental trauma, disorders, thriving, diagnosis, recovery, community, learning, healing, and the brain. Occasionally, we will also do live streams, where you are welcome to join the discussion. Listen to a new recorded session every two weeks wherever you get podcasts, or see the discussion video recordinng on youtube at TheNeurofeed.ย
These conversations will interest you if any of the following are true for you: - You are doing neurofeedback, - You are wondering if clinical neurofeedback is right for you, - You are a mental health professional considering integrating neurofeedback into your practice, - You want to know what these communities are learning about neuroplasticity, appropriate technology, embodied cognition, healthcare in the digital age, or the pivotal role of attachment-centered therapy in successful brain-training.
The show is called The Neurofeed: Eat Lunch & Get Regulated. We know of course that not everyone has lunch at noon Eastern Time. Still, we celebrate global communities that experience the potential for better self-regulation. Together, we can change the world, one brain at a time.
