About Lorre Laws, PhD
Dr. Lorre Laws or "Dr. Lorre" is an author, integrative nursing professor, keynote speaker, and trauma-burnout expert known for her heart-centered, integrative approaches to healing. She uses humor and storytelling to distill high-level concepts into bite sized nuggets. She is a master teacher, whose students refer to her as humanity's nurse.
In her book, Nursing Our Healer's Heart, Dr. Lorre presents her research in a warm and friendly manner. She discusses the global nursing shortage, the impact of healthcare worker traumatization, and how this traumatization frequently misdiagnosed as "just burnout" or "resilience challenges". She offers a 5-step healing pathway that leverages each person’s unique and innate capacity for healing.
She founded The Haelan Academy, a nonprofit organization that provides educational and healing services to health professionals worldwide. Her podcast, The Haelan Nurse Chronicles, shines a spotlight on health system inadequacies related to healthcare professionals' safety and professional wellbeing.
