Today’s episode is all about words. Words have so much power and sometimes we all get a little sloppy with them. It’s not intentional -- we do it without thinking. Putting ourselves down in jest or ’hedging’ so as not to set ourselves up for disappointment. I do this all the time. And I think it’s about time I ’cleaned’ up some of my language.

Today's episode is about habits. Breaking habits and starting new ones is soooo hard -- so much of what we do is patterned and habitual. But, I do think at least this old dog can learn some new tricks!

I know the title of today's episode seems a bit opaque. I promise it's not. I don't think my writing style could ever be described as anything but 'accessible.'
I do love this concept of the 'earthly garden of emotions' -- proposed by the spiritual teacher, Mark Nepo. The idea that all emotions spring from the same soil. An explanation for why we can cry and laugh at the same moment. Listen and let me know what you think!

Today's episode is about this past Mother's Day -- there were three mothers in the house this year celebrating. And, yes, I realize I'm a few weeks late with this one -- better late than never, right? It was a good mother's day: amidst hummus and kofta, there was this moment for me of 'how did we all get here?'

As the world comes alive, I'm reminded how nature takes it's time. Not rushing. Patiently waiting until the time is right and then -- whoosh, everything is alive. And so I need to have the bravery to be patient and wait, too. For everything that's coming!

You probably guessed from the title of today's episode that today I'm chatting about my dad. Although I'm sad -- it's not a 'sad' episode. I share some of the smaller stories about my dad that I don't often tell.

As promised, retreat episode #2! Some observations and thoughts -- ranging from the power of a voice to my MOM! It's hard to say goodbye to these retreat weekends so I've loved keeping that energy alive over the last couple weeks!

I recently wrapped up my sixth retreat so I'm going to have a couple 'retreat-centric' episodes. Today, I'm sharing a big theme of this retreat -- how, with awareness, we do better than the previous generation. We will still make lots of mistakes, but we won't make the same ones.

Today's episode is inspired, yet again, by my friend Cara Bradley. The title of her email 'You Don't Know How Great You Are' just hit me. Because she is 1,000% right. We think everything we do is just all in a day's work, no big deal, par for the course. And we're wrong!

Today's episode is about crying. And if you are bit concerned, no, I'm not crying the whole episode! Tears bring a relief -- like letting some of the air out of a balloon. So, let's talk about tears today!

I love today's topic. No, it's not really about golf! Well, it kinda is. It's really about that feeling you get when you just feel called to do something -- when your internal compass is talking to you and decide to listen. I love that moment.
As an added bonus, I'm including the 'Hole in One' video here so you know I didn't make this story up!

Today's episode is inspired by a wonderful email written by my friend, Cara Bradley. Sometimes friendships end because it's just the time. Maybe nothing big or dramatic occurred. It's a quiet end. As painful as it is to admit, I think this is a natural course for some friendships. And that's O.K.

Today's episode is a follow-up from Tuesday's. So the big question is: were my fears warranted?? Secondary questions answered include: did Andy live up to his wife-proclaimed title of 'Dr. Disney?' Did I actually purchase Epsom salt to survive a Disney vacation? And, how many strangers do I become besties with??

Yes, as the title of today's episode implies, we are headed to Disney World for Spring Break and, although it may be the happiest place on Earth, I'm a bit nervous. 'Why??' you ask. Well, you'll just have to listen to find out!

If you saw the title of today's episode and were hoping for some DIY tips, I'm sorry to disappoint. Today's episode is about our compulsion to try and 'fix it' when someone we love is struggling. I still fall into this trap despite the fact that I so often warn others against it. Oh well, I suppose I'm human too!

We think somewhere between 60-70,000 thoughts per day. Roughly 90% of those thoughts are repeats of the day before and roughly 70% of them are negative. So, if it seems like your thoughts are stuck in a negative, repeating loop, you'd be right! It may be time to 'shake up your snow globe.' Today, let's chat about shaking things up!

Today I answer a question I've been asked a couple times in recent weeks: how to unearth our creative side, our thoughts that are buried deep within us, when we are so busy going through all the daily routines of life? Let's chat about how to get to some of the layers that reside underneath all the busyness!

You might infer from the title of today's episode that there's some meandering down memory lane today. And you would be correct!
Memory is funny, isn't it? Sometimes we don't really remember all of the specifics (at least I don't) but we remember the feeling. So, let's chat about memories and I'll share some of mine.

Today's episode is about energy. Do you feel like you have more than enough and can share your energy and light?? Or do you feel depleted? Like you need to conserve energy and re-charge? Let's discuss -- bringing some biblical building codes and yoga into the conversation too!
