Dan is the first-time viewer this week as the guys show him Gremlins. And Dan has only one question: Who is the target audience of this movie!? Now, to be fair, George hadn't seen this film in a long time so it was essentially a first watch for him as well. Travis brought his A-Game to support this 80's classic.
Furbies, A Christmas Story and Back to the Future all make cameo appearances as we ring in the holiday season with puppets and fire. What a wild movie! But will Dan prefer this Steven Spielberg/Chris Columbus/Joe Dante effort to his beloved Elves (1989)?
Will Travis convince the guys of the merits of this creature feature? Will George be satisfied with the number of Gremlins? What is the ideal volume of Gremlins contained within a film called Gremlins? Will Dan see the movie for what it is, rather than what it could be as a music video for Darlene Love's "Christmas" song?
Dan will be appearing as the guest of The Hysteria Continues podcast to discuss Elves (1989) with the panel of slasher fans with an episode launching December 22nd on YouTube (and December 24th on podcatchers.) Be sure to keep an eye on https://www.youtube.com/@TheHysteriaContinues for that!
