**Trigger Warning: This episode discusses sexual assault and may be distressing to some listeners. Please take care while listening.**

In this deeply personal and powerful episode, I, Mia, share my experience of sexual assault and the profound journey of healing that followed. This event drove me into the ground, shattering my soul into pieces, and it fell on me to pick them up. For a long time, I suppressed the emotions and ran from them, until I couldn’t anymore.

I talk about the pivotal moment when I allowed myself to start opening up in safe spaces. As my curiosity to understand my pain grew, I began to research, talk to others, and learn that I was not alone. Many women have had similar experiences, dealing with shame, guilt, pain, and self-blame.

Through this journey, I finally came into my power. I reached a liberating moment of healing, allowing myself to feel everything fully, without judgment or labeling. In that raw, purging emotional moment, I comforted myself and embraced the strength within.

Moving forward, I discuss how I’m slowly navigating the fear surrounding the podcast. For so long, especially after this traumatic event, I forced myself back into things without addressing the root of the shame. I struggled with comparison and rushed through the healing process. This time around, I’m taking my time and being there for myself when my mind decides to play its games. I've realized that this is what I need now—I've done the fast-paced approach forever, and it never brought me success.
