In 2023, Tyler released Abbey Gate, a short film born from the harrowing real-life escape of his wife during the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. Its emotional impact reverberated far and wide, eventually catching the attention of Angel Studios. Today, Tyler leads The Light Shop LA, a post-production studio that crafts luminous, high-impact commercials for brands across the globe. Tyler sees filmmaking as a form of spiritual practice—an act of witnessing, reflecting, and translating truth. He speaks passionately about how media has shaped, and often distorted, our collective worldview, and how filmmakers have a sacred responsibility in this new cultural era.
