I'm honored to have a candid conversation with Attorney Veneta L. Sydnor whose journey is both heart-wrenching and inspiring. Veneta's brother was incarcerated at the tender age of 17. Tired of getting the run around by attorneys, Veneta went to law school and became an attorney so she could represent her brother. Sadly, he died of a heart attack while incarcerated. Veneta is now dedicating her career to represent and fight for justice for those caught up in the criminal legal system. Veneta shares her powerful story, shedding light on the personal and systemic challenges she faced, and her unwavering commitment to advocate for the rights of the incarcerated.
