In 2001 Vin Diesel and Paul Walker starred in a high octane, street racing, action film that somehow kicked off one of the biggest franchises of the 2000's with 9 sequels to date. But it all started with this movie "The fast and the furious".

This week we are looking at 2010's "Easy A". This sees Emma Stone as Olive and when a lie about Olive's reputation transforms her from a nobody to notorious at her high school, she decides to embrace a provocative new persona.

Time for a mystery! This week we are looking at Rian Johnson's 2019 whodunit movie "Knives Out", about a crime novelist who is found dead after his 85th birthday celebrations and the case that follows.

Some 80's gold this week with Richard Donner's 1985 family/adventure film "The Goonies". This movie see a group of children facing their last days together before a development paves over their homes stumbling upon evidence of a pirate's treasure.

Time for a listener pick! this week we are doing 2002's "Bend it like Beckham" where a girl bends the rules to reach her goal, and play soccer. But her traditional parents want her to hang up her football boots, find a nice boy and learn to cook.

In 1987 we met the future of law enforcement, "Robocop". Paul Verhoeven's ultra violent vision of a future Detroit where a murdered police officer is resurrected as a cyborg crime fighter.

This week we go back to 2001 with 'The Princess Diaries".This sees a clumsy, shy teen discovers that she's the princess of a small European state. She is then coached and must prove that she is worthy of her title while trying to make it through her school year.

We are taking a look at "A Quiet Place" this week, a 2018 sci-fi/horror/thriller and a sensory experience. It sees a family struggle for survival in a world invaded by blind alien creatures with ultra-sensitive hearing.  

A big part of Disney's big run in the 90's, this week we look at "The Lion King". An iconic Disney animated movie that has lived on through a number of sequels, a 3D re-release,  a live action remake and massively successful stage musical.

We are taking a look at some MCU this week and the movie that really got things going. This week it is 2008's "Iron Man", with Robert Downey Jr in the lead role he was so perfect to play and also lead the Marvel universe to become one of the biggest movie franchises of all time.

This week we are looking at the 2020 directorial debut from Emerald Fennel "Promising Young Woman". This follows a young woman haunted by a traumatic past as she navigates forgiveness and vengeance.
