(00:00):
Do you ever feel like you're just existing, like you're moving through life, checking off boxes, but deep down, you know, you're capable of so much more.

(00:11):
Unfiltered with Matt Farnsworth.
Well, I've been there and today I want to share with you how I went from settling to stepping into my full potential.
So stick with me because I promise this will be worth your time.
.999Now, let me take you back, okay, to a time when I was 25.
.9On the outside, everything looked great.
Perfect.

(00:31):
I was auditioning for all these major movies in Hollywood and I was living the kind of life that people dream of and success.
.9995It was right there. 10 00:00:38,886.9995 --> 00:00:43,637 It was within my reach and I had more opportunities than I could count inside. 11 00:00:43,646.999 --> 00:00:44,466.999 I was a mess.
I was chasing adulation, seeking validation from everyone except one person who really mattered myself. 13 00:00:51,287.1 --> 00:00:53,397 And I met a woman during that time.

(00:53):
And even though I knew deep down, she wasn't right for me, I went all in.
It was easy.
.999It was comfortable.
I let myself get swept up in that relationship, even though it pulled me away from who I was meant to be.
And I, I wasn't just making bad decisions.
.999I was making decisions from a place of weakness.
And I chose what felt good over what was good for me.

(01:14):
I was still using drugs and alcohol at the time, so I was numbing myself instead of dealing with all the emptiness inside.
And looking back, I know why I was afraid.
I was afraid of taking on the, on the hard truth.
I was afraid of delayed gratification.
.999It's easy to reach for what's right in front of you, even when you know, it's not what you need.
I wasn't willing to do the tough work to make sacrifices that would have put me in a path to true fulfillment.

(01:39):
Now, I learned the hard way that comfort can be a trap.
I was too comfortable, too complacent, and it led me down a path I wasn't proud of.
But that's the thing, real growth, real transformation.
It doesn't happen in the comfort zone.
It requires stepping into the unknown, delaying gratification and making decisions from a place of strength.

(02:00):
Not weakness.
So if you're in a place where you're asking, Hey, what road should I take? And you're taking the easy road when you're reaching for what's convenient instead of what's right, ask yourself, what is this costing me? Because there's always a price for comfort. 34 00:02:14,541.999 --> 00:02:19,302 And it's usually the life you could have had if you had chosen differently.
So I want to ask you today.

(02:21):
Don't let comfort steal your potential.
Don't let convenience make your decisions for you.
.999I made that mistake and it took me years, years to claw myself back, but you don't have to make that same mistake.
I'm challenging you right now. 40 00:02:36,341.999 --> 00:02:41,992 Pick the hard path, delay the gratification, choose what's good for you over what just feels good in the moment.

(02:42):
You got this one shot at this life and it's up to you to make it count.
The truth is the path you are meant to walk becomes only clear when you take a hard look at yourself.
When you're willing to call out your own BS, you have to take the time for self reflection to really ask, where am I broken? What happened in my life that I haven't dealt with? And how is that affecting me right now? And until you can answer those questions, you're going to stay stuck.

(03:09):
You've got to turn that camera around and look into those deep, dark places that we all have, the ones we avoid, the ones we pretend they're not there.
It's only when you dig into those spaces to understand why they existed that you can start to heal.
Forgive yourself, forgive others, and then let it go. 47 00:03:27,501.999 --> 00:03:28,852 Don't stay stuck in the past.
.9995Use it as a stepping stone to move forward. 49 00:03:31,751.9995 --> 00:03:33,372 So here's my challenge to you.

(03:33):
Look inward. 51 00:03:34,681.999 --> 00:03:37,952 Face those truths, and then decide to step out of your comfort zone.
Your future, it isn't behind you.
It's in every step you choose to take forward starting today.
