Hampus Renberg Nilsson ägnade tre år åt att lära sig teorin, sedan uppfann han en förstärkare som ska bidra till utvecklingen av kvantdatorer. Ihop med sin tidigare doktorand-handledare Per Delsing grundade han företaget Qet Sweden och de anlitade Carina Dreifeldt som VD. Qet står för Quantum Enabling Technologies, och företaget är en avknoppning från forskningsprogrammet Wallenberg Centre for Quantum Technology, WACQT. 2024 valdes projektet ut av Kungliga ingenjörsvetenskapsakademin, IVA, till att hamna på den så kallade 100-listan över teknikprojekt med stor potential att skapa nytta i samhället.
