Jessiye Davis picks up where she left off--hanging from a razor shaarp cliff edge. Sampson, Dimple, and Minguu are eager to get the amulet and get the heck out of danger. But danger just seems to increase, as it tends to do when a character named Bob shows up, and a whole new side of the story is revealed! Or would be, if VV didn’t pass out just at the good part.
Then, on Dirty Crit, some insight into Nightskins—a very cool name wi...
Jessiye Davis continues to lead us an adventure in the Forgotten Realms with Ole Sampson, Dimple, and Minguu. The tokolosh have fled, and apparently they stole something. The party learns what it is, why it’s important, and why the priest who lost it can’t come with them in pursuit. Because pursue they do, into the savannah of the Shaar. While Minguu’s tracking skills seem sharp, Dimple does a great job of distracting him, so Samps...

Then, on Dirty Crit, a discussion of avoidance, the meta-game relationship inherent between any character and the person playing them, and the heightened emo...

The Ride or Dies wrap up their communion with the Evertree, and then wrap up their time in the Sanctuary. Everyone says goodbye in their own way: Titan has one last dance, Jasoo has an eternal embrace, and Jo just says fare thee well. For Jiminy, however, goodbye is too good a word, and what he says about the URSA Corporation is more than a little unsettling. So while they have leads to pursue and a sense that the puzzle pieces mig...
The Prophet of Evertree has awoken, but all is not well. The Ride or Dies have a thief to catch who's quick on his feet, and well equipped. Once that’s put to rest, then finally the party can learn some of the sage wisdom of this ancient grove. Jo gets a new accessory, Titan gets a clue about their magical connections, and Jasoo is reacquainted with the light of the sun. As many deep questions finally find answers, one cryptic pass...
Nerves are on edge as Jo and Titan witness Jasoo delivered from yet another mountain lake by yet another draconic spirit. The dragon teaches them much, and they return to Evertree having gotten what they came for. There’s a new face that greets them on the way, however, and many more faces to meet before reaching the Prophet. Titan is, as always, persuasive, Jo puts her necklace to work, and Jasoo puts her healing to the test. But ...
The Ride or Dies take in the view of the burned out valley before setting off with Golmeev in pursuit of a thornberry root, prepared for a dragon to appear at any moment. They find a doomstone, a bush, and you guessed it, a large, flying, angry spirit. In the ensuing encounter, Jo gets into the thicket of it, Jasoo explores a newfound aerial prowess, and Titan tries to threaten a dragon. Poisonous wine-vomit floweth, but the party ...
The Ride or Dies are dead tired, and lay down to get some sleep–all except one, that is. After a much needed night of rest, whether sleeping or not, everyone is grateful that Thulla can get them proper breakfast over which to talk through their next moves. Thulla introduces them to a new friend, and passes on a gift from Mortha. Then the party sets out in pursuit of root from the thornberry bush. In the process, Titan finds they ar...
Still reeling from the horrors inside Hitherheim, the Ride or Dies make their way to Evertree Sanctuary. On the way, Titan checks in with Prim, Jo hears from her father, and Jasoo tells the Bridge Fungus something less than true. The Sanctuary offers much needed rest and information about the state of the Prophet and the Dragon. But when the party learns there are some in the commune who aren't thrilled to see them, someone goes do...
As the Ride or Dies journey through the tunnels of Terra, they discover things may have changed since Thulla was last there. The party gets a bit of rest, but decides they need to move quickly–because they are not alone. Jo’s flashlight is indispensable, Jasoo makes use of both gauntlets, and Titan’s weave is clutch for those clutching it. They are within grasp of the Gates of Hitherheim, but can they get out before the swarm reach...
The journey north continues, but the path has twists and dark corners. Jasoo helps Yama pull something shiny from an icky place, Jo bids farewell to her friends from home, and Titan helps everyone get over their responsibility complexes. The party decides to take a new path toward the Evertree Sanctuary, which comes with a new set of challenges. But what happens when the lights go out?
Then, on Dirty Crit, we play the game of guess...
The Ride or Dies have a rock monster to fight, so get out of the way, Duke’s Guard and D'Largos. Jasoo goes full agro, Jo nearly swims in a mire, and Titan acquires a new piece of jewelry. But when Jasoo disappears, things start to get tense.
Then, on Dirty Crit, a conversation about representation of disabilities in DnD and fantasy at large, including the rules of the game.
This is the last Main Feed episode of the year. But...
The Ride or Dies make their way to the river road north of Stormhaven and join up with the large caravan that has already formed. Jo sees lots of old friends, Titan keeps an eye on the D’Largos, and Jasoo keeps her nose to the grindstone. But when a carriage full of precious cargo breaks down, tension begins to rise.
Then, on Dirty Crit, discussion flows, including an examination of the language we use when talking to people about ...
The Ride or Dies finally get some downtime to talk and sleep. Jasoo explores the Path of the Sun, Jo gets to talk to her dad, and Titan goes full Marie Condo. In the morning, a rainy dawn reveals a city full of yellow-clad soldiers. The route out of town proves provocative, and the tension just keeps climbing. In the end, La Revolución does their best to breathe through it and move on–literally.
Then, in Dirty Crit, conversation ab...

There's lightning in the sky as the Ride or Dies confront Ginny, but the mood doesn't stay bleak as an old friend returns. Back inside Prim’s Proper House, La Revolución takes the time to go through the info they just gathered at the Palace, and start to open up with each other in the process. By the end, the Friend Group has a sense of where they’re headed next, Jasoo has a lead on someone from her homeland, Titan has gotten a pro...

The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Maggie had come to believe that the entire investigation of David was botched by the tiny local police department, or worse, covered up the real killer. Was Maggie correct? Was David’s claim of innocence credible? In Death and Deceit in Alliance, Maggie recounts the case that launched her career, and ultimately, “broke” her.” The results will shock the listener and reduce Maggie to tears and self-doubt. This is not your typical wrongful conviction story. In fact, it turns the genre on its head. It asks the question: What if our champions are foolish? Season 4 - The Burden: Get the Money and Run “Trying to murder my father, this was the thing that put me on the path.” That’s Joe Loya and that path was bank robbery. Bank, bank, bank, bank, bank. In season 4 of The Burden: Get the Money and Run, we hear from Joe who was once the most prolific bank robber in Southern California, and beyond. He used disguises, body doubles, proxies. He leaped over counters, grabbed the money and ran. Even as the FBI was closing in. It was a showdown between a daring bank robber, and a patient FBI agent. Joe was no ordinary bank robber. He was bright, articulate, charismatic, and driven by a dark rage that he summoned up at will. In seven episodes, Joe tells all: the what, the how… and the why. Including why he tried to murder his father. Season 3 - The Burden: Avenger Miriam Lewin is one of Argentina’s leading journalists today. At 19 years old, she was kidnapped off the streets of Buenos Aires for her political activism and thrown into a concentration camp. Thousands of her fellow inmates were executed, tossed alive from a cargo plane into the ocean. Miriam, along with a handful of others, will survive the camp. Then as a journalist, she will wage a decades long campaign to bring her tormentors to justice. Avenger is about one woman’s triumphant battle against unbelievable odds to survive torture, claim justice for the crimes done against her and others like her, and change the future of her country. Season 2 - The Burden: Empire on Blood Empire on Blood is set in the Bronx, NY, in the early 90s, when two young drug dealers ruled an intersection known as “The Corner on Blood.” The boss, Calvin Buari, lived large. He and a protege swore they would build an empire on blood. Then the relationship frayed and the protege accused Calvin of a double homicide which he claimed he didn’t do. But did he? Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay. The Burden: Empire on Blood is the director’s cut of the true crime classic which reached #1 on the charts when it was first released half a dozen years ago. Season 1 - The Burden In the 1990s, Detective Louis N. Scarcella was legendary. In a city overrun by violent crime, he cracked the toughest cases and put away the worst criminals. “The Hulk” was his nickname. Then the story changed. Scarcella ran into a group of convicted murderers who all say they are innocent. They turned themselves into jailhouse-lawyers and in prison founded a lway firm. When they realized Scarcella helped put many of them away, they set their sights on taking him down. And with the help of a NY Times reporter they have a chance. For years, Scarcella insisted he did nothing wrong. But that’s all he’d say. Until we tracked Scarcella to a sauna in a Russian bathhouse, where he started to talk..and talk and talk. “The guilty have gone free,” he whispered. And then agreed to take us into the belly of the beast. Welcome to The Burden.
