Wiregrass Teams Advance to Second Round | Cottonwood Head Coach Dustin Harrison & Ashford Head Coach David Stapleton

This week on "The Wiregrass High School Football Report", Phillip Jordan is joined by two winning coaches from the first round of the 2024 playoffs. First on the show is Cottonwood Bears head coach Dustin Harrison. The Bears advanced with a 54-16 win over Lanett and running back King Campbell had a big game. Coach Harrison details how the run game helped the passing game, and what the defense did well. Then, Ashford head coach David Stapleton joins to talk about the Yellow Jackets first playoff win since 2002. Ashford defeated Oak Grove 35-20. Coach Stapleton talks about the key turnovers picked up by the Yellow Jackets and the performance of Zay Johnson who had three touchdowns in the game.  Phillip Jordan also reviewed all the round one games for Wiregrass teams and looks ahead to the second round of the playoffs.
