Mr. Allard's Neighborhood

Mr. Allard's Neighborhood

Welcome to Mr. Allard’s Neighborhood, where longtime Burleson resident Brad Allard shares candid conversations, local stories, community news, and, of course, his opinions on the issues of the day. Brad is a veteran Texas educator whose career began in 1988. He retired from Burleson ISD in 2016 after many years at Burleson High School, then discovered that “retirement” included three more years at Southwest Christian School. He has also taught government as an adjunct professor at Hill College and Dallas Baptist University. A proud green-and-gold graduate of Baylor University, Brad also holds a master’s degree in political science from the University of Texas at Arlington. He has called the Burleson community home since 1991 and is a longtime member of First Baptist Church Burleson, as well as a ranting know-it-all of some local acclaim. Join Brad and his guests for informative, entertaining, and occasionally opinionated conversations about the people, organizations, businesses, and events shaping Burleson and the surrounding community. Sic ’em Bears, Mavericks, Elks, Eagles, Rebels, and Patriots! Forgive Brad—after all these years, he sometimes gets confused.
