Mostly cloudy with a chance of flurries and a high
of forty. It's thirty two in the Quad Cities and okay,
we wanted to do that. She was sorry. Give Martin
Sheen the forecast. Come on, dude, he can do her.
Have Rob Reiner do it. Can you believe that the
stars we have it's gonna be thirty two degrees?
Speaker 2 (00:17):
You already said thirty two.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
I'm so sorry you Please show President Bartlet some respect
for crying out. You know, if you hang out, you
can do the news.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
You know.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
They said no, So they got to go like two
or three minutes. We gotta be quick. So now both
of you, Rob Reiner and Martin Sheen, you're in town
obviously for Howard Dean, right, and tell us exactly what's
going on today.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
Well, we got a full day. We're going to be
over at the Holiday Inn in a few minutes, start
up with a rally, and then we're going to be
going over to U s Iiowa City after that, and
then Cedar Falls, Cedar Rapids, and we're gonna end up
in Des Moines to kick off a bus tour with
Governor Dean.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
No kidding, and you'll be happy. No, I know you
both are in southern California now obviously for your careers.
But we we've heated up the weather for you so
it's not too frigid like it was. We brought this
in with them very much. We appreciate that. No extra jarge.
I already got my vote. That's that's the way it's going.
But I look over your two careers and it's just amazing.
(01:13):
I mean because obviously, Rob, you went from Meathead and
All in the Family, which I love that show, and
look at you and look at all the but look
at thank you very much.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
But I've often said, no matter what I do in
my life, I'll be the Meathead. I could win the
Nobel Prize. That will say Meathead wins Nobell.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
But but but you think about you, think of some of
the other stars through you and you Gill again, he's
never lived that downright, You look at the britty bunch kids.
But but Meathead, and look at your career since then,
you got Alex and Emi, you got American.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
President, just a ton of movies and a movie that
Martin's never heard of. When Harry mets South No, No,
the Princess Bride. He heard them. But not the American President.
Martin Sheen's in that he's the chief. We got a
promotion when swing.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
You know, we could just leave and let Martin rob
you the show. Hey, we should they are that good.
Grab some coffee, Yeah, I'd love to get something.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Well, we are paid professionals. Yeah, so we do have
some experience in this.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
And I know you got to run, but so much
preper on.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
I'm gonna walk say he'll be at the comedy club
this weekend.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
He's gonna go out with Howard Dean today and then
there'll be a Penguins this weekend and open up. It'll
be great. But thank you to so much for coming in.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
It's our pleasure. So we're just out here reminding people
to make sure they get to the caucuses on the
nineteenth and for Howard Dean.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
And real quick if you don't mid because we have
so many young listeners and we all know that there's
a lot of voter apathy with young people. Can you
say anything about that at all?
Speaker 2 (02:44):
Well, I think that's one of the exciting things about
the Dean campaign, that's he's energized a lot of young voters.
Over twenty five percent of his following is under thirty
years old, and he's brought people to the party into
his campaign that have never voted before. So if you're
looking for somebody in a fresh candidate who speaks his
mind and speaks honestly and speaks the truth, Howard Dean's
(03:06):
your man, and you can get out there on the
nineteenth and caucus for him.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Now, Martin, you're very silent this morning. I can't get
into the mic.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
I'm sorry, Martin God, you're the president.
Speaker 1 (03:18):

Bartlett's some respect for No. No, I'm delighted. I'm behind
this guy. He fires me up. There you go. It's
