Speaker 1 (00:03):
The big beautiful bill turns into a big ugly fight.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
This is the Kelly Golden Show podcast powered by Disaster
Plus on a big veiled Friday. Elon and I had
a great relationship.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
I don't know what will anymore, but I'm very disappointed
in Elon Jerry Jerry, I mean Elon Musk. For all
of his virtues, He's done so much we all should
agree on doge my god. He saved free speech and
many aspects by rescuing Twitter. There are many things and
imagine when Elon walks away with just a T shirt.
(00:39):
I can see where the guy's upset. On the other hand,
are you kidding me, buddy? What does he think just
for his own personal brand? How this is going to
come across? It comes across as unhinged? Welcome back South Carolina.
Is Attorney General Alan Wilson with your close relationships with
Trump and his administration, your reaction to this Trump Elon test.
Speaker 3 (01:01):
Well, First off, I am incredibly supportive of the President
and Elon Musk. Two things can be true at once. First,
I agree with the President that we have to maintain
the tax cuts that he implemented in this first term,
and he's dealing with a very sime majority in the
House and Senate. But I'm also a big fan of
Elon Muscus cuts. Obviously, we can't continue to grow the
budget deficit rather and our national debt is growing at
(01:23):
an astronomical amount. This is one of those things where
you agree with two points of view, and I'm empathetic
to both why both men are upset. Of course, I
haven't really studied the issue that well, but at the
end of the day, something has to give way. The
president can't while he won the election with an overwhelming
majority of the electoral college, the House and Senate are not.
(01:46):
It's a three vote swing in the House and it's
a two vote swing or three vote swing in the Senate.
So again, we don't have a mandate to govern with,
and so it's very difficult to maintain the cuts that
Elon was advocating for. But at the same time time
we need to continue to keep trying to cut that
deficit back. So this is a very tough one. But
you have two you have two men who are multi billionaires,
(02:09):
who are very powerful and have these egos, and you're
seeing them kind of clash right now, and it's kind
of interesting it was.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
Ego mashed up with amateur Hour. He's demanding a lot
of things behind the scenes to which Trump said no.
And if anything, this proves the left and all of
their Trump's dictator is in office to enriches billionaire buddies. Well,
he's quite the opposite, and he's proving so with this
whole feud. All right, hit Charleston This Morning News with
(02:36):
Gilliam Blaze and the podcast description below for a g
Wilson's full comments on this week's Low Country ice rad
It was dubbed Operation Last Stand that led to the
arrest of cartel members right here in Laton in the
Low Country, even an international murderer suspect now by to
the ongoing reaction on Elon's Trump eruption.
Speaker 3 (02:55):
Trump is absolutely right.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
We have to get this one big, beautiful bill passed
and we're going But Elon is absolutely right that we
need to make the bill better and I think the
Senate is going to we need to cut more spending.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
Ah Texas sentator Toed Cruz on handity last night, playing
both sides. It's like the bull versus the baby, and
it's making us all feel awkward. No one likes my
Mommy and Daddy fight. South Carolina Senator Tim Scott's out
new with this, and it actually makes me feel a
little better about how this all pans out. Take a listen.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
The work is not done. Elon's a little premature in
forecasting that the level of cuts that we have today
are all the cuts that we get. But more importantly,
we will get the job done for the American people
because this is not about Elon, it's not about President Trump,
It's about the American people. I believe it'll be over
way before the Independence Day. The good news is these
(03:47):
are two strong, powerful men who've worked together to deliver
for the American people. One of the reasons why President
Trump made promises on the campaign trail and brought Elon
on was to make sure that we kept those campaign promises.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
Hit the talkback mic. That's round radio microphone right here
on the podcast, drop your own comments. Senator Scott mentioned
July fourth, I want to end the sady first anniversary
of Dday with an encouraging reminder from America's Defense Secretary
Pete Heg Saith that we all need to stand in
strength on the shoulders of noble generations who faced hell
(04:22):
on Earth on the beaches of Normandy on this very day,
June sixth, back in nineteen forty four, where some sacrificed
at all.
Speaker 5 (04:31):
It is a sheer privilege to stand in this cemetery
among heroes and before God. An incredible monument to the
sacrifices American warriors made on the beaches of Normandy. Hard
men forged for hard times, ordinary men who mustered extraordinary courage.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
We should never forget.
