Speaker 1 (00:09):
Welcome back to the Nerdy news. He needs to know
throughout the week on iHeartRadio, I'm bad cast services around
the world because my dam's honey. Teddy's over there in
visual form and you're listening to this, so episode of
What Teddy Crisis on Infinite pod Care. How long do
(00:33):
you go, Teddy? You go ahead? All right, hey go,
good job, good job, A good job. I got I
talk of my right hand mostly, which is where the
camera is, so I blocked Teddy. But here you want
to see Teddy. So let's face it, there he is
boom right there, he's what the hell just happened? But
we got a jam packed show for you today. Kevin. Unfortunately,
just the law of the land, he is stuck because
it's got to do a lot of work for the Ravens.
(00:54):
Let's face it, the NFL season is upon us, and
we to make sure Teddy just doesn't by his rash.
But Kevin's busy, so you boys going solo do so
keep the posterity of the podcast going. Let's face it,
it's the end of summer, beginning of the school year,
so everything's kind of all over the place, and that's
total okay, But we're still gonna entertain you on this
here podcast. We're talking about Alien Earth, sort of play
(01:17):
some ketchup on some things I've been watching and doing
that would didn't get to talk about guests on Monday's episode.
And we're gonna look at the games that are coming
out for the rest of twenty twenty five, talk about
the ones we're excited for, the ones we're kind of like,
I'll play it, maybe the ones that are like, that's
coming out, but I do not care about it at all.
But if you want to see everything we're gonna talk
about today and so much more, you can follow us
(01:40):
on all the social media's at Infinite Underscore, bad Z
on the Instagram, Hordiacs go and give it to you.
Teddy has not been trained for that rigging roll, and
that's totally okay. It's just the high pitches, I guess.
But you can also watch us in video form. This
is fun. If you do listen to us in the
audio version of the podcast. No, hey, we have a
video version of the podcast a little bit. Oh, we'll
(02:00):
get there, don't you worry. But you can participate have
your voice be heard Twitch dot tv or YouTube dot com.
Slash Infinite Underscore pods as well. Cool thing is if
you got Amazon Prime, you got Twitch Prime for free,
can help us make this podcast even better, bigger and better.
All you gotta do is just connect it and sit subscribe.
(02:21):
You have to do it unfortunately once a month, but
it's a free thing and it helps us do this
podcast even better and invest in cards not like these.
These are no but we always started the podcast properly
with something we like to call what You're Doing, where
we talk about the shows and movies we've been watching, games,
we've been playing, lives, we've been living. Because I'm the
(02:42):
only one here that can talk besides Teddy when he
does the intro, I get to go first. Hi, I'm Hoody.
Nice to meet you. Yeah, so pretty fun week overall
since I've been on the podcast, because just been busy
and that's totally okay. First things first, I mean this
isn't the first thanks for some pull out because we
said it. I realized I'm a bulk of Yu gi
(03:03):
oh cards and I think it is interesting, like what
do you do with yu gio cards? These are a
lot of like the uncommons and the not rares so
much I think I might give him to eric son
Max and just see, Hey, you want to get into
yugioh here's a whole deck and not gonna lie. There
are some cool ones from the game like Flames, Swordsman
and you know, baby dragging and it turned you know,
(03:26):
you see you say, like Joey Wheeler, I think you
would get kick out of We'll get Max into the
Ugio cards. I know Eric's son Max actually just turned nine.
Uh So, if you want to date this podcast, that
child was not alive when this podcast started, and either
was Kevin's eldest of Leah. So yeah, that dates this
podcast and that's totally okay. But hey, Yukio's forever right
(03:46):
now as much as Pokemon, but it still is forever.
He can enjoy that to his heart's content. Yeah, okay,
So where do I start? Uh So we can hang
on Thursday. Friday was pretty much a clean and that
was okay. My brother came up this weekend, which is
really dope because this weekend we got to go to
the Commander's game when they took on the Ravens and
(04:07):
the Ravens won. Ultimately it's a preseason game, totally okay,
but yeah, he and his wife Jen both came up.
It was really cool because you know, we're both newly
I mean, I guess more and I aren't so much
newly weeds as they are now the newly weeds because
they got married earlier this year. But it's cool just
to bond now as brothers and having wives and having
dumb bond and all that interchange and whatever. But it's
(04:31):
really cool. Northwest Stadium is a lot better with food.
I will say that for sure. Eric myself an intern
John actually got to attend a Commander's food event the
other day and got to try all the food. And
let me tell you that Amazon Grab and Go that
is a life sin. So if you're going to any concert,
you're going to a football game, you're going to anything
(04:52):
at Northwest Stadium this season, hit up that Amazon grab
and go because is grab it and it charges your
card based on your Amazon account, and we will totally
take that over waiting an hour for dippin' dots. I know,
dippin' dots are great, but they don't justify an hour wait,
especially when, like you know, the football game is like
like two and a half hours because it just kept
going because it's preseason game. But yeah, game was good.
(05:12):
We had really good seats and oddly enough, just Northfolk Stadium,
it takes forever to get there. It took us almost
an hour and a half to get the stadium, so
we missed the first quarter, but overall had a good
time with that and pretty much chugged some Surf Sides.
So if you know what surf sided is the alcoholic
(05:32):
tea that you can find here like the Seltzers normally
if you go to your beer and wine of out
aisle of choice at a store near you. But I
like those a lot and I could chug those, so yeah, boy, drove,
chugged them more, drove back home, and by the time
we got from the car to the stadium was feeling it.
So I'm not a condone you drinking, but if you're
(05:55):
looking for something that's not you know, as bubbly or
as carbon eatey, surf Sides the teas they're pretty good
and they got different flavors. That's not an ad, but hey,
if they want to endorse us, take that air check.
But yeah, so then it was cool. We also went
monumenting on Saturday, which I've never really done really as
an adult. You know in Mason. When I went to
(06:15):
George Mason University, we did monument as field trips. It
was really cool to do it at night because there's
no traffic, and so we went to the Jefferson One.
Teddy got to go, which is great. Teddy, did you
have a good time? You did? Okay, good, good interaction.
Thank you, Teddy. You're getting Mike with asking over there
in the video version of the podcast. And we went
to Lincoln and the m OK and the George Mason Memoria,
(06:41):
which was really cool. I didn't know those things like
I've never seen them. Okay one and the George Masone
didn't know existed at all, but overall cool night. On
Saturday Sunday we did go to the Air and Space
Museum and your Boy did finally get to see the
X Wing on display. And the coolest thing about the
X Wing if you go to the Air and Space
Museum is the one in DC. It is it is like,
(07:03):
first it's from the movies, and it's like they made
it to scale. Essentially, what happens is it was built
taken from the movie and built in the Udvar Hazy
one which is in Chantilly, and it got moved finally
to the DC one and they have a cool placua
that's like in universe like it has hyper drive, propulsion
and all this stuff, and they have like the number one. Oop,
(07:23):
there's my nose garden. Noise garden. You probably heard that. Okay,
we're fixed, we're gonna mute it, and we're gonna fix
this because we broke it. And that's okay, there we go,
all right. Cool. You heard that it was an ASMR
and they had an inter universe one and then like
a number one that where was like a lucasfilm prop
(07:45):
and Teddy laid down there perfect. Thank you. Teddy's itchy.
We're trying to figure out the alargy. Okay, but that
was a fun time and definitely there in Space is
a lot more modernized, I guess now, which is really
cool because for the longest time it still is about
you know, flight and not oval Red and Baker but
the Wright brothers. And it was cool to see the integrate.
(08:08):
There was an R two D two like future stuff
and pop culture, which is great because I don't know
if people on this podcast. When Your Boy lived in Seattle,
there was a museum called the Museum of pop culture,
MoPOP and that museum was the coolest museum I've ever
been in. They got at one point they had a
Marvel exhibition which had suits from the MCU was like
(08:29):
right when Black Panther came out. So going from Smithsonian
to that great, but going from that back to Smithsonian
like oh Man Smithsonian Entertainment, the American Culture Museum or
the American History Museum that that has some run for
its money in that one section. But yeah, it's a
good time. But then yeah, so that happened. Yeah, the
(08:51):
Commander's Event. Like I just said, and pretty much through
all of this, your boy's been watching One Piece, the
live action version on Netflix, and I'm on the final
episode of it, and I gotta say, I know I
talked about it last week. I think where I wasn't
vibing with it, it wasn't until that third and fourth episode.
I think it was where hold on, let me get
(09:16):
this right, I want to get that right, there we
go where Oosop came in. That really won me over
because it really was episode here's a character, episode, here's
a character. Then two episodes are about Oosop and in
the Cat Pirates it was really good. So if you're
trying to watch it three episodes in, you don't really
hook it. So I'm proably gonna finish that probably tomorrow
(09:36):
as this podcast recording, and I'll be waiting like everyone
else for season two. I do think now your boys
actually watched it. It is a great way to intro
people into one piece overall. It is funny because Netflix
often has that you'll also like section, and it was
really like one hundred one piece things, which including the
(09:57):
show and a bunch of movies sorry worse than dragon
Ball and What's Cannon and What's Not and all that
good stuff. But overall, if you want to kind of
streamline it, then maybe you can play the games, you
can read the manga. If you want the live action
Wain I think is the way to go. I think
in Yaki Goodoy, I think at first didn't vibe with
him as Loofy. Now pretty pretty like him as Loofy,
(10:22):
Zoro ro Nozola is good, uh Ousap I like Sanji.
I really liked it, like those episodes too, and yeah, overall,
just a good time. Oh yeah, Andy jog I will
say you can start the anime. It's just a lot,
you know. If you're trying to play catch up with
everyone else, it's gonna take you a while. There's a
thousand episodes. Now, you know, if you're sick one day
(10:43):
or you're bored, you know, get you got plenty of
time to catch up, but if you're trying to streamline
and sort of get into things. It was funny because
I did look at the one piece like episode list,
and it was kind of beat for beat. Obviously, it
was like these five episodes was episode one of the
live action show, So I think, maybe start with live action,
(11:04):
then shoot off with anime and you kind of know
what's what. Essentially, let's see what else what else would
and I'm just going through everything. We're pretty much done.
Eric and I did do the Little Blue Kitchen the
other day, which is that Chick fil A test kitchen
restaurant in your college park, not Bubba Sparks, Maryland, actually
near the UMD, and essentially it is a Chick Fly
(11:26):
test kitchen where famously they serve pizza, but for some
reason they were not serving pizza. So we tried the burger,
we tried the wings, we tried the onion rings, and
the tots say the burger is good. The wing flavor
was good, but everything else is kind of So if
you do happen to be near UMD or in the
College Park area of the DMV, give it a trot,
(11:47):
go for lunch, have a good time. Don't think it's
gonna whow you. We all have a good time. Also,
one last thing about the Smithsonian, because I completely forgot
about this till I looked at this. You want to
feel instantly aged. In the sort of science fixing section
of the Air and Space Museum, they had oh like
toys and props from movies and shows that depicted and
(12:09):
you know, science fiction over the ages. This Han Solo
gun was on display. The exact orange gun that makes
that noise that you probably heard the audio version hopefully
was on display. Lo and behold, I did not know
that this would be your relic. Now that is on
display in museum, And now I've been instantly age. I
(12:30):
forgot to the help people that. But you know you're
old when your toys start popping up. Sure it'd be
different if it was like a game Boy. Okay, cool, yeah, yeah,
but it looks like an actual toy that you actually
had and have grown up and you've had for over
thirty years. Yeah, that's when things really hit hard, not
getting younger. Then Andrew Drugon did ask a book update
(12:54):
on Iron Flame. I did finish Iron Flame a while ago.
I think I did do a review on like three
months ago. I think when More and I went on
our sort of mini vacation earlier this summer. I finished it. Oh,
it was universal. That's when I finished, actually, but I
am about to start. I started on a Storm, got
(13:15):
carried away. But hopefully you're boys going away for our
banks the next week. That's when we will finish it.
That's the only thing I'm bringing book wise. Maybe we'll
bring Doom just to see how fast we can go,
and we're bringing a game boy and that's it. Nothing
else we've closed and stuff. But but Iron Flame I did,
like I do, think it was a good like what
Cliffhanger on ax Storm obviously didn't immediately hook me. But
(13:39):
I'm instead of starting where I'm out, just gonna restart
it because I was like thirty pages and so it's
worth it. But it is funny going from the hype
of a book coming out. Went to Barnes and Noble
the other day and they're just in the back, no
one cares about I'm like, man, I thought I thought
this was the thing. Harry Potter is everywhere. But you know,
once look at that TV show for Fourth Wing. That's
when it will pop back up in the front six
(14:00):
of Barnes and Noble. But let's get on into it.
I'm not done talking about myself because it is what
it is. And if you want to talk about what
you've been doing, let me know at infinitunscore pods or
being the chat Twitch dot tv slash Infinite underscore pods
as well. And I'm just entertaining you. I'm entertaining you
and that's totally okay. I'm just talking about my life
with you. But let's get on into it. It's time
(14:20):
for the news. It's time, even though this is the
second time I'm using this button. First things first, summery
buttons are delayed. We know, we now know this. This
isn't a news story, but left over more so from
what you're doing. Yeah, boy and Mora, his wife, have
(14:41):
started and finished every episode of Over the Garden Wall,
which was a Cartoon Network mini series. I'm gonna pop
up the thing in the reaction theater. Make sure that
pops up in case you didn't know, I'm trying to
probably pull up this stuff. It wasn't mini series that
ten episode. It's on Cartoon Network. Patrick McHale did the
(15:03):
actual animation. He's famously was sort of like the show
runner at one point for Adventure Time. So he did
this and not gonna lie for this. Being eleven years old,
animation holds up and the show was amazing. So it
was on Cartoon Network, then on Max. But then Max,
you know, has been losing all the cartoons, so it's
(15:25):
on Hulu now. And if you need a perfect fall Halloween,
you know, summer ween, I know that's the season we're
in right now. Vibe this show is it because it
is pumpkins, It is fall, call it fall foliage. It
is you know, talking in poems and sort of that
sort of nineteen hundreds early vibes, which is really like aesthetic,
(15:46):
which is cool. I think it's worth a watch. It
is ten episodes and they're each eleven minutes long. So
I think your homework if you're listening right now, are
watching watch it this weekend. You know, Hi, Labor Day
is here. Let's chursh out the summers over because it's
like cool ass weather, you're in the DMV get Ready
for Fall the right way, and I am tempted to
(16:07):
watch it again. So I know we just finished it,
but maybe like the weekend of Halloween, this might be
added into the Halloween rotation for more and I because
it is about two brothers who get lost in you know,
a dark forest, and each episode is a little bit
of a not a feeling of the week, but problem
of the week, and ultimately there is a running through line.
I want to spoil it, but it's really good. I
(16:27):
know the images in the video I'm showing right now
in the video version of the podcast Cool Aesthetics Vibe
store Wise, I think pretty cool too. And if you
got a brother like your boy does, or any sibling
you'll you'll vibe with it as well. Or if you're
in high school any point and we're musically inclined in
high school, you know I'm talking about you a ban geek.
(16:50):
But yeah, check it out if if you don't know
what it is, definitely check out the video version of
today's podcast. I'm playing the trailer right now, but I'm like, yeah,
I'm gonna go back. I watch that again. Now I
know what's happened? Let me watch it again. There's one
character called the Highwayman surprise more and I completely it
is definitely a page out of Adventure Time a lot
(17:10):
which was fun too. How about back to me there
we go, love it. We're done with that. But here
is the actual news. Not a lot really going on
because we are sort of pairing up into Labor Day weekend.
Friendly reminder, we will be off on Monday because it
is Labor Day. You know, Kevin's got the kids. Kevin
and his wife and the kids are all off, so
we are respecting that your boy will being out of our banks.
(17:32):
Won't be a podcast episode on Monday, but we will
be back in full force on Wednesday talking about Peacemaker
and Alien, which we'll talk about in a little bit.
But I did want to talk about the games that
are coming out Slash we're looking forward to for the
rest of the year, because I know we've talked about
games overall, what is coming out this year, what we're
excited for, But now that it is fall and we
(17:53):
know that Hollow Night Silk Song is finally coming out
literally in five ish days, does this podcast co on
the fourth a week literally less than a week from now,
on November fourth. A lot of games are moving the
release dates back. It is a lot of indie games,
which is funny enough because Hollow Night Silk Song is
kind of the king of the indie game. But these
(18:15):
are the games we still have to look forward to
for the rest of the year, and one literally comes
out Tomorrow's this podcast recording Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater.
Obviously a lot of people have been reviewing it. You
might have seen videos of it on YouTube and stuff.
I'm excited for that. I did try Metal Gear Solid five,
the Fantom Pain and Ground Zeros Ground Zeros. We finished
(18:36):
Fantom Pain, never really did finish. It's just what it
is what it is. But Delta Snake Eater looks fun
if you played the original. It is modernized version of that,
but it is a little dated still with references and
all that good stuff. So overall sounding good, looking good,
I think right now it has a let's see if
it pops up do has a eighty seven on Open Critic,
(19:00):
which is pretty good. Your boy did draft that for
our Fantasy Critic Gaming and so your boy's gonna be
cleaning up real good because we got that we got
Hollow Night Silk Song, which comes out next week, and
it is interesting. I've never played Hollow Night, but I
really want to play it just because of the height.
And that is sort of a thing that happens with
the sort of industry we're in, of video games, movies
(19:21):
and shows of well, everyone's talking about it, so I
want to be part of it. Same thing it happens
with cards, It happens with you know, a TV shit
like one Piece. You boy finally watched it because you
boy wanted to be cultured and know what these one
piece statues are at the little comic stores I go
in the trading card stores I go to. But Hollow
Night Silksong comes out finally November fourth. Interesting enough, they
(19:43):
will have a physical edition that comes out they announced
today in twenty twenty six, which is cool if you
are very into physical gaming still in twenty twenty five.
But yeah, I will say, probably don't jump into Silk
Song if you didn't play Hollow Night as well. For me,
Hades has similar vibes of I know Hades two is
coming out. I kind of want to dabble in the Hades,
(20:03):
but your boy has a switch and I don't got
the money. I know they're on game Pass, but they
seem like switch games, you know. You know, same thing
with Backyard Sports, the Backyard Baseball that came back out
like two months ago. Sure you can play on your Xbox,
but that seems like a perfect switch game. Just you know,
play some baseball, you know, drafter team out of the
five kids that are on the team. Yeah, it's a
(20:24):
good time. But after that, that's kind of gonna be
your post Labor Day game to play. Technically, on the
same day, you have Indiana Jones in the Great Circle
the Order of Giants. I'm excited for that. Pretty much
anyone's played Indiana Jones probably are the only ones that
are excited for that because it's more Indiana Jones. I
do think Indiana Jones is a good time. If you
have game Pass, try it out. I think at one
(20:45):
point it was on PlayStation Plus. I know Starty Value
Valley actually comes out on PlayStation Plus next in September
as well, So if you're trying to save up and
get a little vibe game Starting Valleys. Finally, it's your
time Final Finally. But yeah, it is set in Rome.
It is more DLC I'm excited for I mean, that
game I think had good bones, But will it make
(21:08):
it to a sequel? I don't know, especially at the
state Bethesda kind of is where a lot of if
it's not probably Fallout or Skyrim, a lot of people
kind of weighing back and forth on if they're gonna
play it or not. And we're still wait on Scam six,
which kind of announced like five years ago, which is wild.
I was at the E three they announced that, Oh
what a time, What a time. But also in September
(21:31):
you have Borderlands four. I played a lot of Borderlands three.
I still think Tales of the Borderlands is the best
way to get into that franchise. We've talked about a
lot of entryways into franchises. It was a Tailtale game,
but it was here's their mainly characters. You know, you've
always really in the story and characters and vibe with
them to get into a game. Borderlands four supposed to
(21:56):
be a newer wave of Borderlands I hope. So. I
think Borderlands three kind of came and went unfortunately. I
think it was really no one vibe with a certain
kit of the Vault Hunter specifically, or any of the characters. Obviously,
Tiny Tina was had. Tiny Tina's Wonderlands was a game
spinoff two that didn't do well either. So hopefully it's
(22:17):
you know, Borderlands gets it on the right path, because
I really do think it is sort of a not
a relic of a bygone era, because you know, Borderlands
came out when Mass Effect came out. But I think
they can still have a seat at the table of
modern gaming. They just got to figure out what they're doing,
not just here's a thousand guns you're never going to
use nine hundred of silent hell Off comes out in
(22:37):
November or September twenty fifth. If you like spooky games,
great for you. Then gost Yota brings us into October.
I'm excited. Kevin is super excited. I think he actually
is pre ordered that game and more ghosts. Your boy
has Ghost of Susuma. Maybe it's the time we play
that game. You know, we were looking for a game
to play, and you would be the perfect time played Ghostiota.
(22:57):
But I don't have the money. Don't have the money
to tell you this in my list, just just listed Okay,
did the games twenty twenty five. There we go, Here
you go all right, all right, cool, perfect, got love
it Sonic Racing Crossworlds that also comes out September twenty fifth. Great.
(23:19):
I mean, it's always good to have different kart racers,
especially when Mario Kart Worlds kind of came and went.
I feel like it was a switch launch game, but
I feel like, from my perspective didn't have as much
staying power as Mario Kart eight Deluxe did. But you know,
teach throw to teach the throw, So then alright, got
You then have Battlefield six October tenth, followed up closely
(23:43):
by Call of Duty Black Ops a month later November fourteenth.
Why I'm bringing both of them up because just when
you think it's over, Battlefield goes away. We living in
another era where Call of Duty is going up against Battlefield,
which is which is wild. Call of Duty looks like
it's leaning more towards story this time, Battlefield obviously leaning
in towards multiplay. That's kind of where they both kind
(24:04):
of deviated over time. Definitely worth trying both out because
they are a month apart. That helps Call of Duties
on game Pass, so that works to your advantage that
you can only you only really need a baf Bay
for Battlefield and have a game pass subscription in your
golden rate. There Pokemon Legend z h A or ZA
as I like to call it, October sixteenth, that will
(24:25):
have a switch and a switch to version. Brother John
is getting it. He's excited. I'm not so much. I
think I need the Pokemon game to really hit me.
I've noticed this with I've gotten sort of back into
the trading guards again. Is the new Pokemon don't hit
But when I see a cool art of a magneton
(24:46):
or an electric doing looking like it's taking a doochie,
I'm gonna get those cards. I think the same thing
with this. It kind of is the holdover up until
we get Gen ten. Yes, the tenth generation of Pokemon
next year, because Pokemon we selem brading It's thirtieth anniversary
next year, which is which is just wild, and Pokemon
Go turns ten next year as well. But hey, it's
(25:08):
Pokemon games. You can't go wrong. It'll be decent enough.
I do have Pokemon Legends rsist that I never finished
loaded it up today. I was like, I do not
remember the controls at all for this. But also there's
Pokemon brilliant Pearl and all that good stuff you can
get on the switch as well. If you're Jurassic fan,
Jassic World Evolution three comes out October twenty first. Exciting.
(25:31):
I haven't heard anything big about this version of the game,
but it is modernized and it probably will include Jurassic
World Rebirth, crossover or integration. We're always suckers for a
little simulator game where you're running a theme park, you're
running your zoo. This is a mix of both of them.
See what goes wrong. I know intern John loves that game,
so that's a shout out for him. He'll be busy
(25:51):
that weekend. Outer World's two comes out October twenty ninth.
That's great if you love Obsidian games. Fall Out inspired games.
Didn't play the first one, so we can't really comment
on that one, but exciting nonetheless. Deadpool VR November eighteenth,
Ocopath Traveler December fourth, and then I believe where are
we missing here? Ninja Giden also I don't know why
(26:14):
that was on the list. October twenty first, Ninja Giden four,
which is dope. Excited for that, and where else we got?
What else we got here? All right, Well, I'm just
gonna go through the list of games Kevin and I
drafted for the rest of the year and see which
ones we're excited for. There's three games on the list.
I drafted all of them actually, which Brook looks really fun.
(26:36):
It is I believe from Brook developer, which Brook is
trying to find it. Okay, Yeah, so it is from
the former developers of Stardoo Valley. There you Go. It
(26:57):
is very akin to Starduo Valley, but it is witchy.
You know, you're running a little witch college which school,
which is really cool, not like Hogwarts. But you know,
cu't see it looks fun. There's no release date for
you said Holiday twenty twenty five. I mean ideally the
release date for that game is around Halloween, which is
now like a month and a half from now. But
that's okay, but I'm excited that game looks fun. On
(27:21):
the other end, you do have Mixtape, which is still
supposed to come out this year, which what goes sort
of set through a camquarder, but is a very story
based game set of a horror game like Outlast. There
you Go. And then Dispatch, which is the Telltale studio
where they are making essentially you are a Dispatch control
(27:44):
for Heroes on the Fly. You're the main character supposed
to voiced by Aaron Paul still supposed to be coming
on twenty twenty five. I hope it does because it
looks fun and it looks right up my alany Superheroes
and Telltale, so why the hell not. I mean, we've
practically played every Telltale game at this point, and Deck
nine and Don't Not don't worry, but overall, still plenty
(28:05):
of games of play for the rest of the year.
Those are some of my favorites. Do you have any
other ones you're excited for or you want to play?
Let us know, Infandum score Pots. But let's get on
into it now. We've talked about the games that are
coming out in the future. This is where we'd have
the future sound effect. Let's talk about a show that
is out right now. Let's break down the fourth episode
(28:27):
of Alien Earth. There so I don't think Kevin is
not as interested in the show as I am. So
it's great that I'm talking about it specifically because I
will vibe with you all day and tell you what's
going on. Episode four was there we go what was
(28:49):
called observation, and this was while the thing that is.
We're halfway through the season of Alien Earth. I don't
know if this show is going to get like a
second season or if it is a one and donner
akin to a lot of other shows like are we
going the Fxhow the Bear? What we do in the Shadows? Fargo?
Who knows? You could do? Alien X twenty three or
(29:11):
whatever the hell the LV two two seven or whatever
the planet was that the xeno Morphs first popped up on.
But so far I've been vibing with this show a lot.
I think the coolest thing it's done is explore the
world of Alien and the Xenomorphs, Xenomorphs, Xenomorphs beyond just
the Xenomorphs, because cool. We're here for the xeno Morps
(29:32):
and all that good stuff. But let's face it, we
want we want, we want to know what's going on
in this world and just have a good time, you know,
you know, all right? This episode, episode four, what happened
really is we're seeing the hybrids is what I think
is what we call them, not synthetics. There's something new,
(29:52):
you know, of Wendy and all the lost boys of
the Android children. Essentially they are kind of getting a
little more SENTI, and then we realized obviously last week
episode in this is all full spoilers just because I'm
gonna piecemel everything pretty much, so if you haven't watched it,
don't worry, it's gonna be spoilers. We find out that
(30:13):
Wendy can hear yes, and I'm like, I'm solo dolo
right now and we're talking about Alien Earth, so hopefully
strap in it's pretty good, pretty good, but it is.
We find out that Wendy can hear the aliens, and
this episode immediately picks up finding out that somehow she
is connected to the xenomorphs. We find out it is
(30:36):
the xenomorph embryo that was in the face Hugger that
she can talk to. She can actually like talk zeno
morph I guess is how we're gonna say it where
it is And she's not translating oh click like means
like I love you. It is like they're talking. She literally,
because they are androids, can say the clicking like grasshopper
(30:58):
wings essentially, and that you know, the aliens can kind
of talk to each other. I know in past alien
xeno morph lore they have a hive mind and all
this stuff. So we are slowly inkling upon maybe Wendy
being the queen for these this group of xenomorpha. Maybe
they're gonna make her the queen sort of a lah
(31:19):
alien resurrection. So if you like that one, you like this.
We didn't find out. Also last week, one of the
other cliffhangers was that her brother was getting a lung
removed and sort of replaced, and we didn't know what
was happening with that because the episode ended with I
remember all these these da characters hold on Alien Earth. Wikipedia,
(31:45):
you go Alien Earth, just get the characters, right, Uh,
Timothy Kersh who's Timothy Oliphant's character, who's kind of been
doing the science experiments, Uh, taking the alien embryo and
putting it in the lung of Hermit, which is Wendy's
brothers long. We didn't know is that the lung that
they're putting back in him that he can breathe now?
(32:06):
And this whole episode, you're kind of like they said
they replaced his lung, but did they replace him with
the lung that had the alien embryo on it? And
he has a little bit of chest pains, So just
knowing Alien lawier, like, hmm, what's going on here. We
find out this episode they did give him a new
lung and this is a separate lungs. Thank goodness. You know,
you know, Prodigy has a heart to a degree like,
we're not gonna do that. Forwardly, we were evil, We're
(32:29):
not that that evil. But essentially it is Wendy hanging
out with hermit as they are brother and sister. But
you know, she technically died, but she is in this body.
You know, when is an android not when is a
machine on a machine we've heard from a couple episodes ago.
And we also find out the rest of the crew.
We have I think it's Nibs. Believe yes, NIBBs thinks
(32:53):
she's pregnant even though she's an android, and she's kind
of going a little too sentient Flashed two Cuckoo of
an of a human turned into an android, where she
almost killed Dame Sylvia, who we find out is married
to the other scientist, Arthur, and they have you know,
they are a husband and wife and they're kind of
(33:14):
she's the psychology of the android hybrids and he is
the actual physicality of making the robot android bodies for
all the kids. On the other hand, we do have
slightly aka a Rouche talking to mister Morrow again, and
we find out in this episode gets to the point
where mister Morrow is holding a Roush's family hostage. So
(33:37):
we're getting sort of more of a Hey, these kids
aren't like solo kids where their parents died. They have
actual families who they thought all died. But we're realizing, hey,
we actually have loved ones who should be here on
the island like Hermit is, but they're not allowing us.
So we could get to a point where these androids
really or the make or break of the Xenomorph getting
out Prodigy failing, which is a fun time we do.
(34:01):
You see also this sort of eye alien, I don't
know what's officially called, at least on the list that
I have. The Timmy Filipon's kersh character does experiments on
it where they pushed the eyeball face hugger eyeball hugger.
I guess we'll call it into a room with the
sheep and it takes over and possesses the sheep, and
(34:24):
it's grotesque, but hey, it's fax baby. They have the
movies and they have the gore. I'll tell you that
because it was. But it is cool. Like I said,
to expand these things, that CEO that's kind of similar
to the face Hugger to would degree of how it
crawls up to people and sort of just inhabits its host.
And I hope probably by the end of this season
(34:45):
we'll find out like the other three aliens do that
we still don't know what they do really, but they
took into Prodigy. Overall, we do find out that mister
Marrow is bribe bribing a rouche that he will not
kill his real family if he can get it a
human to walk into the alien the face Hugger egg
room and look into the eggs because the synthetics they
(35:09):
don't take to them because they're not real organisms, and
gets a xenomorph in side. So you're like, well, that's
where it's just gonna hit the fan. And I think
that's pretty much it for this episode overall. Really vibeing
with the show. I think. I know a lot of
people are saying this episode is kind of the make
or break for a lot of people, but for me,
(35:31):
I'm enjoying it. It is a fun watch of just
being in that world, and it is I could say
it is slow. It's a noa Holly show, and that's
totally okay. But I think this was the slow episode
because the end of it, there we go, we see
the xenomorph, infant newborn whatever hatches out of Hermert's old
(35:51):
lung and that Wendy can't communicate and it's kind of
soothing it. So we'll see where we go from here.
Can't she control the Xenomorph at the end of the series,
who knows? And where does it? When do you exist
in the Alien universe? Because we kind of do have
Alien Romulus already that potentially is supposed to get a
sequel somewhere down the line. This is happening, so we're
(36:12):
fleshing out that universe. Then we have Predator bad Lands
later this year. So overall AVP, like I say, every week,
were we talking about the show? We're eating good, Baby,
we eaten good And then let's see there's something else
I wanted to talk about. You know what? I think
that is really you know what, let's talk about this
(36:34):
k Pop Demon Hunters. It is now the most popular
Netflix movie of all time. If you haven't watched it,
your homework this weekend, Lambor Day weekend watch it. There's
a sing long version now on Netflix, so you have
to watch it. I know technically it came out in June,
and I did talk about it, I think in like July,
over like fourth of July weekend or whatever. But if
(36:55):
you haven't watched it, check it out. Essentially, it is
this K pop girl group. Hey, Andy, Drogon went to
the singalong screen. I love Andy, tell me everything about it.
We're people singing what were your favorite songs? All that stuff.
We're gonna I'm gonna rank the songs. So that's where
we're gonna go with. This is the baseline to say,
I'm gonna rank the K pop demon on their songs.
(37:17):
So don't worry. But it made sixteen to twenty million
dollars at the box office last weekend, and it was
the only time it was released in the box office
because of the singleong version, which made it the number
one box grow Yeah, grossing movie at the box office
last weekend over weapons, over naked gun, over anything else
(37:37):
that's in the theaters, which is great for a Netflix movie. Apparently,
the history on this movie was Sony had it, and
it is a Sony movie, but they didn't have faith
that would do well at the box office, so they
gave it to Netflix, and Netflix is ranking in that
gash right now, and we have a sequel planned. We
probably have a spinoff series as well, and I will
expect a lot of people dressed up as Hunter Tricks
(38:00):
this Halloween season. Andrew Dragon said she goes to Disney
and DreamWorks movies and she felt like at the single
long version of this movie, it had more kids present
than any of those other movies. Sony's kind of been
killing it on the animation obviously, we have in the
Spider Verse across the Spider Verse, Meet the Marshalls was
really good. I think that was one that was just
(38:20):
on Netflix as well, And this is kind of like
Sony's kind of been sleeper hitting it right now with
its animated movies, which is why you know we have
a whole Spider Verse to a degree that as well.
But this weekend on actual Netflix k Pop Demon Hunters
became the most popular movie ever, gained twenty five point
(38:41):
four million new views just last weekend alone, for grand
total of two hundred and thirty six million views since
it dropped in June, which means that it dethroned Red
Noticed the Rock, Ryan Reynolds and Galgado movie, which came
out a couple of years This weekend Red Notice had
two hundred and thirty million views, and then followed up
(39:01):
by Carry On, Don't Look Up, which was the Leonardo
DiCaprio movie, and The Adam Project, the other Ryan Reynolds movie.
Just goes a show. You know, entertainment has no regions
or boundaries because Squid Games being like the number one
show and this being the number one movie says a lot.
(39:23):
I think it helps also that this was a very
good easy access in the K pop because it is
a little timinating sometimes with bts and everything, but this
is definitely a way for people to get into it.
Andy Dragon says for EDERR single long screening, no one
really sang for the first song, but then for the
rest of the movie everyone began to sing. I'm disappointed
because how it's done is like my favorite song. And
(39:45):
then she said a couple of people brought light up sticks.
I've seen people. I heard of people doing bracelets that
do in the whole works, which is great, and I
assume Netflix will capitalize in this and hopefully won't run
it into the ground. You know, it's big when it'll
get a Fortnite in game scan. It's probably coming, but
now we've done the homework. Definitely check it out, especially
(40:07):
you know, if you've got kids. It's a perfect everybody
in the family can enjoy its music. It's flashing colors.
It's a little bit of anime inspired too, which is dope.
But we are going to the songs, rank the songs,
the twelve songs that are in the movie.
Speaker 2 (40:26):
Here we go. All right, there we go. I just
need a list. There you go, all right, now this
is interesting. Go here, okay, here we go.
Speaker 1 (40:41):
So this list, according to Billboard, it has Jokers Path. Well,
I don't even know what that song is. I'm talking
about the original songs they're giving me. Okay, cool. So
on this list of Billboard they have Hunters' Takedown as
number ten instead of the twice version, which is at
the in the movie. I thought that one's good. That
(41:04):
one was just had a weird point. Whe're like, oh yeah,
Like I kind of like the Saja Boys, but I
don't know if I like them too the first version.
I think that this version is better than the fun
happy version, but that's the whole thing. Then on here
they have Soda Pop at number seven, even though that's
kind of one of the trendy ones, my little Soda Pop.
(41:25):
I really enjoyed that one, but I don't know if
that one should be that low. Then they have Twice's
version of Takedown. Here you go, Huntricks What It Sounds Like,
which is pretty much the final song of the movie. Good.
It is very ballady. It is very we are bonding
and grouping and grouping together as everyone, especially if you
go see it in the theaters. But not the hype
(41:46):
of song. Not the hype of song Golden I think
is up there too. I know that is the most
played song now, especially in radio and in music industry.
I do like gold but there's better vibe songs. I
don't know if that's just like I need vibe songs
get me hyped into it. But they had Hunters at
number or How It's Done at number four. How It's
(42:10):
Done was a really good insro. I think that's what
really wowed me of Like, the vibe was good, the
action was good, the story that was going on and
on the screen worked, and I think that's what really
helped the movie to me stand out. They have your
Idol as number three on Billboard's list, which is really good.
(42:30):
If you want to worry your parents, you play that
or your wife because of More was like, what the
hell you listen to? I'm like, it's it's came up
to miners. Don't worry about it More and this is funny.
This is a movie. I watched it. More didn't, and
I might try to make her watch. Number two they
have Free, which was okay. I think we all kind
of like, okay, yeah, free Free. It's cool, very I
(42:52):
came to a whole new world. They're closer and those
type of like back and forth lovey songs. And then
number one they have Golden makes sense, that's why it's
the number one song in the country right now. Any
Joe Gun says her number one is this is what
it sounds like, and her number two is your idol.
I think overall, soundtrack really good. You can't miss it
in the movies only like an hour and a half,
(43:13):
so it's not like that bad at all. But yeah,
that was just me talking about K pop Demon Hunters.
I would expect probably a sequel, probably twenty twenty seven.
Show Wise, who knows, because if they'd use Sony pictures animation,
but they use whatever studio actually made it. They could
expedite it. But I assume everything from Sony Pictures right
(43:34):
now is being named towards Beyond the Spider Verse, just
to hopefully get that to come out. Please. But if
it comes out twenty twenty seven the same time this
sequel for K Pop Demon Hunters comes out, that's a
good one one two punch, So don't sleep on Sony Pictures.
But that does it for today. I have tried to
get you going. We talk about Cabo Demon Hunters, we
talked about Alien Earth Peacemaker. Unfortunately doesn't come out un
(43:57):
till Thursday, so we have to do Monday reviews on
that because you know we'd be busy, y'all, and we
like keep it tight to the schedule on Monday and
Thursday releases. You get us. Yeah, and Andre dro gonna
say the best imagine if we get K Pop Demon
Hunters before Beyond the Spider Verse. I hope not, because
then it's like this definitely was a Marvel f up
more so than it's Sony f up, because Sony got
(44:18):
CAP Pop Demon Hunter's done before. Then mean something right,
It's something right, But we'll be back not on Monday,
but on Wednesday next week, talking about Peacemaker season two,
episode two, talking about Alien Earth episode five, indus or
Labor Day weekends a little overall, but so don't expect
anything on Monday. We're taking a break, take a little vacation.
Speaker 2 (44:41):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (44:41):
It is good for us, good for the soul. It
is good for you to go outside, go hang out
in the pool, especially if it's the last day your
pool is open. Un as you own the pool. It's
like a kiddie pool. Same thing like that. And do
something fun, whether you're in the DMV or you listen
anywhere in the country. Uh, go do somethingunn you've always
wanted to do. Maybe it is go try that local
TCG shop near you. There's a trading card games shop.
Because you didn't know what that is. Maybe you never
(45:03):
want to go. Just go in, look at some cards.
You're there for ten minutes. You're there for ten minutes.
You got outside of your comfort zone. Because I think
it is a good time just to we're in a
nerdy world and we're just living in it. Baby. That's
sort of a knock on Katie Perry's Woman's World song,
But it's okay. Nerdy World, weird all the Incovic You
can have that one, but you can always keep a
lock to the show at Infinite Underscore Pods on the
(45:24):
Instagram or x go and give it to you. You
can join the conversation, be part of the show, like
Andy Jogon, like Nintendo Mike, like Polar Girl three oh six.
You just follow she just joined the conversation three days ago.
Uh at twitch dot tv or YouTube dot com, slash

have a great Labor Day weekend. Embrace it, enjoy the
(45:45):
day off and if you gotta work, hey, you can
listen to some old episodes of US and hang out
with us that way too as well. But as always,

is Hoodie. Teddy's over there, and you've officially listened to
this dolo dolo episode of What Teddy Crisis on Infinite
