Speaker 1 (00:09):
Welcome back to the nerdy news you need to know
throughout the week on iHeartRadio went bad.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Cast services around the world because my name's Hoodie.
Speaker 1 (00:18):
Yeah, and you're basically listening to.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
This Mondaytodum episode what Kevin Crisis on Infinite bod CA. Sorry,
not into the camera right now. I'm trying to find
a duck video.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
For Hoodie's It's that is a pre podcast thing that
uh sure, we'll see if it makes it into the
podcast next week or next week, we'll find out.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
I can't believe I've seen this video before. It's like,
you know, there's some videos I've seen that you haven't seen,
but I don't know which ones those may be. But
you usually see the usually the other way around. I've
seen things you have seen, but like, this is like
a prime pandemic.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
To now here is the thing? Keavan, you did have
a lot of time when you worked next door to
me that you would watch videos that we were like, oh,
Kevin watched the Binge. Watch the whole series in the morning.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
That's true because that's set there and listen, make sure
everything's on the air.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
We're good, all right, We're good to go. So feeling
that's the point of deviation that you saw this video.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Watch a lot of TikTok.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
That is true. Right when TikTok came out, Kevin was
like the prime whale influencer on the TikTok.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
It was funny we weren't after TikTok back and then
I was like, do this TikTok things about? And then
I was hooked.
Speaker 1 (01:31):
There you go. Ever, since he's hooked, we got a
jamp back show for you today. We are talking about
everything regarding to them, including Knives Out, Squid Game, Frankenstein,
One Piece, Stranger Things, and more. We're gonna watch the
gen V trailer react to that as well, because that
kind of just like surprise drop during Todam, which was
(01:51):
that intentional Who knows? Because I was like, oh, look
at that. That's also up the algorithm wants.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Me to watch it, screamed to them.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
They said, we don't really care, and we have a
special thing. We're gonna start fresh when we get into
the news that does involve Mara. That'll be on hopefully
a weekly basis for the next six weeks potentially.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
Well, she's watching the other ones too.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Oh and here's the thing I haven't seen other ones
in a while, so I don't know what's gonna happen
with those other ones.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Is she watching the second batch first like an order or.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
She's watching in release order? And we will tell we'll
get there. We'll get there. Don't worry, don't worry, worry,
but you can see if they're gonna talk about today
is so much more at Infinite Underscore Pods on the
Instagram and he actually go and give it to you
or Kevin. Where can they interact with us live when
we're talking about things on the podcast, or maybe later
on maybe they got to catch up on the podcast.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
You can watch us live twice a week on Twitch
dot tv slash Infinite Underscore Pods. Just wanted to chat
but your crewmembers and join the fund, But if you
can't do that, we understand. You also watch us on
demand at your own leisure YouTube dot com slash Infinite
Underscore Pods.
Speaker 1 (02:58):
Yes, it is always a good time, but we always
properly start the podcast with what shit doing, where we
talk about the shows and movies. We've been watching, games,
we've been playing live, we've been living and because it
is Monday, good sir, Kevin.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
You gonna go first Monday, so we kind of started
doing like a clean out thing this weekend.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Probably good.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
Cleaned out our garage finally, because this has been crapping
there for years.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
A lot of Disney stuff, probably.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Boxes and odds and ends. I'm not trying to use
the lyrics from the Mermaids song, but just just random
stuff like our old down that tape dining room people
was in there, Our old sofa was in there. So
we call one of those junk halling companies to come
out and take it all away, and two hundred and
fifty dollars later, we have a somewhat kinder garage.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Now, okay, I.
Speaker 2 (03:48):
Forgot though that my iHeart box was in there.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
And you said throw it away.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
I never most of it I did. Most of it
was like, you know, it's an anthem poster that makes
me sad.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
Now them could have been great.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
It could have been great. Most of it was just
like just like office supply stuff, all that stuff. But
they find some cool things. I forgot. I don't know
if you gave it to me or somebody gave it
to us. I had an iron Man mouse in there.
Didn't realize that. And that's that's my job. Now my
personal it still works.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
That's good. It came with the little dongo that's.
Speaker 2 (04:20):
I have this this uh I was watching on my
video i Obi one book, which is really cool.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
You no idea where this came from. Is it Legends
or is a cannon.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
John Jackson Miller the session It is not. It is
not a cannon anymore, but it could be some good reading.
I don't know my white reading one there. And also
I got a bunch of these like tabletop Marvel games.
This one is Captain.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Oh yes, when I got you all those, I just
got rid of mine because I gotta tell you I
have too many games here this house.
Speaker 2 (04:51):
This one is Black Widow versus Doctor Strange. And this
is like a four pack one Marvel Dice Throat which
Thor Loki and Spider Man Miles Morales. So I know
I'm gonna do with these, but it looked cool on
the shelf behind me.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Well maybe if if if your family doesn't want it's
a good white elephant gift of Hey, here these games
from three years ago. Maybe you could try him now.
Speaker 2 (05:13):
I could because I don't I don't really have the
attention span for board games. I'm just I just don't
have it. I'm I try.
Speaker 1 (05:18):
We'll get you in Cantan one one of these days, boy,
get you in a Catan. I can't even play, sorry, Like, yeah,
I'll get you there, We'll get you there. Kevin just
needs to use his imagination. They'll be fine.
Speaker 2 (05:29):
I try, I try, but it's just it's just like, Okay,
we played Trouble three times in a row. I've won.
What is the thing I don't I don't know. I
have crossfired crossfire.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Oh, that holds Kevin's That holds Kevin's attention. Don't worry
about that.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
That's pu pup of it. So it's cool. After that,
we actually went to this like it was called I
think Asia in a bike festival and Wonder Mills and
La Casino and that was pretty cool. I had to say.
It was called like a honey a honey honey something,
but basically it was like this extremely long honeycomb with
like empty this in the middle and they put ice
(06:02):
cream in it. It was really good, a very Disney snack,
like why doesn't Disney happening on this?
Speaker 1 (06:07):
This is?
Speaker 2 (06:09):
And then also I had some what's it called Korean
fried chicken I had to had the potato or like
shreshed it out and they fried. This was like a
big long potato, but like it's like a spiral. And
then my daughter had this thing called tan gholi for
the first time. Have you heard of this? Nope, It's
basically candy fruit. It's sugar solidified over over got grapes
(06:30):
and strawberries and whatever else. It is disgusting.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
And she enjoyed it.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Of course she loved it was it was sweeter than sweet,
so as long as the sugar was flowing, she was fine.
But yeah, it was real. It was like crunchy and
mushy at the same time, if that makes sense. It's
not good. And then other other than that, that's about
all I did this weekend. No, no I cooked, and
then today was at work was just a cluster because
(06:57):
nothing worked for me today, like nothing. I found out
today actually that even though my work issue laptop, I
bring work every day and plug it to the network.
It's not on a network, but it works fine.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
One of these days you'll get it on there.
Speaker 2 (07:10):
And one of these days, I guess I will. I
need I need a certain app today and I couldn't
get on it because not on network, but like I
want a network. I'm one of stuff, so it but
stuff like that, you know, nothing crazy bet a weekend and.
Speaker 1 (07:23):
Night, I had a more entertaining I had a more
at home entertainment a weekend than you did cleaning up
the house because, uh, your boy played a lot more
battle Front too. I'm not gonna lie. Game still holds up, baby.
There was a there's a part of the game where
it's it's called co op, so it's not it's you
and three other people against computers. And I played Geonosis today.
(07:47):
Oh my god, it was. It looked beautiful because you
get you get a checkpoint and all of a sudden,
we're gonna go destroy this like trade Federation little ball
ship thing and we're all running.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
Yeah, and like everyone there's got the little like heavy cannonside.
Speaker 1 (08:03):
You're like, this is legit, this is the boys, We're
doing it. But that was Fun's always.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Mike has always been like those those little dud death
Death Star like predecessors.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
Maybe yeah, maybe maybe there'll be a Star Wars book
that like connects the dots or something like that. But
having a blast with that. I did find out apparently
over the weekend. Uh. Obviously Battlefront two is the hype,
but apparently now people are going back to battle Front,
the one that released in twenty fifteen, so the first one,
only one, the first Yeah, people are now going to
(08:35):
that one again and playing that those maps. I'm like,
all right, I don't know what's happening, but Star Wars
is doing it.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
Well, regressing regressing in Star Wars games. Sooner, sooner or later,
we'll be at a Jedi power battle.
Speaker 1 (08:45):
No, we'll be at the other Battlefront two, then the
original Front. Then we'll get the power battles.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
Rogue Squadron, about the world squad let's go all the
way there.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
Yeah, you know, we don't even know the multiplayer at all.
Who cares about the split screen? Come on, hot Racer
like that. Yeah, it's brought back, but it doesn't hold
up anymore. Your boy finally has started Dragon Ball Super.
So I'm excited because if you remember, I finished kayybe
like four months ago or something. It was excited and
(09:14):
then it got pulled off Hulu. But it's back on Hulu,
so we're gonna give it the good old college try
and see how far we can get. Because I did
realize today, Eric still has my Dragon Ball Game and
never gave it to me. So I've never played the
Dragon Ball game I got for Christmas because Eric bard immediately.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
Or he's one of those kind of ball wars. Oh,
I don't even know what had to be.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
No, I know my son has not played at all
because all he play is Fortnite. Okay, yeah, yeah, why
did you give it back to?
Speaker 2 (09:38):
Trust my interest? Find out what Blockbuster paid for rentals
back in the day to bring it to twenty twenty money,
twenty twenty five money and the charge of that. And
then finally things More and I watched before we talk
about the thing More has to talk about.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
We did watch Wish this weekend. Randomly we were like,
we got nothing to watch. We've never both nailed seen Wish.
The back third of Wish is really good, but those
first two thirds dog trash. And if that back third
had been the whole movie, it is a Disney fans
delight of a movie. I will tell you that right now.
In the back The back third.
Speaker 2 (10:14):
Which it is definitely not a top ten Disy animated film,
but like The Hated God for mostly adults, was like
weird to me. I'm like you know this is with children.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
Right, yeah, And like the cool thing was it did
a lot of like being kind of like Shrek two
to a degree of like, oh, it's spoilers because it
came out with like I mean it's been on Disney
Plus for like a year and now or something last
December something like that. But they're like, oh yeah, like
I forget the main characters names, but her friends heavily
look like the Seven Dwarves. Oh there's a guy named
(10:45):
Peter that knows how to.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
Fly to a land called Neverland, and like, oh, this
is so dope, like why can't we do this the
whole movie? But I did get dogged on a lot,
and I get understand why because it is very it
seems generic.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
Some of the songs are just like I don't need
the song. The songs don't catch at all. I think
it's just it is that era of It's not a
Land Manuel Miranda Disney movie that with music, they're like
another catchy and get stuck in my head, you know,
from of.
Speaker 2 (11:14):
Like I guess opinion, media opinion, whereas like either you
can just be like you, it can just be hod
and like it wasn't for me, but then people got
to be like, I'm like, why do you still mean
to them?
Speaker 1 (11:26):
Might not be like this, but that's what I have
been doing.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
You can always let us know what you've been doing
at Infinite Underscore Pods.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
But Kevin, it's time for the new and first things first,
we have to bring on one at gimme Mora on Instagram,
give her a follow, she'll follow you back. Come on
down because Mara has embarked on it. You're in the
(11:55):
square window now.
Speaker 3 (11:56):
I'm wearing this shirt. Yes, I'm wearing my crisis shirt
on purpose. Hi, Kevin.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
Kevin said, rock the merch because okay, you can get
all right, sure, because Mara has gone under an undertaking
she didn't realize. Well now last for the next six
weeks of content for this podcast, because she has started
the Lord of the Rings, the One Ring, the One
(12:22):
Ring threw them all. So, Maura, I'm gonna give you
my headphones so you and Kevin can have a nice
little talk and you can hear the music that's playing
in the background for you and you only you've started
Fellowship of the Ring and I finished it and what
did you think about it?
Speaker 3 (12:38):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (12:39):
So also, are you trying to be a hobbit right now,
which is why you said, let me get smaller now.
Speaker 3 (12:44):
There's no extra chair in here, squat down. So first
time seeing Lord of the Rings not my favorite. It's
definitely a sign of true love that I watched in
the first place because I have a voice did wanting
to see it for years. I don't know. I just
I feel like it was very, very long and not.
(13:08):
I don't know. It just wasn't quite for me. I
thought I would like it because there's a lot of
franchises that I've watched because of Andrew, Like I watched.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
Who's Andrew, I watched.
Speaker 3 (13:20):
About Star Wars, Harry Potter. I feel like there's another one.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
I have another franchise in mind.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
Okay, anyway, I've seen a lot of big franchises because
of him, and I thought, oh, maybe I'll like this
one too. But I just I don't know. It just
wasn't for me.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
It was very long rings. It's a very dense fantasy,
high fantasy series. Yes, the fact that you've been set
through the first one, which is three plus hours.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
Yeah, we didn't watch the extended. We just watched the
regular and.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
We have my wedding ring that is the one. You
can't really see it. It's there.
Speaker 3 (13:55):
It's not a real.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
Now more has a precious you can protect. You'll get
that more in this in the next one, you know.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
I mean I get it. I get the general gist
of it. I don't know. Also, it was just so
I don't know, It's just I feel like I don't
even know, like how to describe it. I just really didn't.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
Like, it's a podcast, baby.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
I'm not doing a very good job.
Speaker 2 (14:18):
It's the dance movie. There's like a million.
Speaker 3 (14:20):
Characters, yet all of the characters we're just white, like
nothing else. I don't know. I definitely made that call out.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
This before the internet. It went a small group of
people like, why are the orcs like a certain way?
We're not gonna deal with that right now. But but yeah,
Also back in the day, I remember this came out. I
didn't see this in theaters. I saw the DVD. Back
the day. This was like three DVD's, I think two DVD's.
Speaker 3 (14:48):
That's what That's what was changed the movie.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
Like I said, go to the rings. If you can
try to get in the fantasy that that's a that's
a hump.
Speaker 3 (14:58):
I thought I would like it because I feel like
there's some other fantasy stuff.
Speaker 1 (15:01):
But no, no, okay, So who was your favorite character
in the first Fellowship of the week. We'll give you.
We'll do a character. Yeah, we'll do a moment seen
you remember, seen you remember. It doesn't have to be
the best thing, but just what you remember.
Speaker 3 (15:16):
We actually already talked about this, so this is easy. Gandolf,
I guess was my favorite. I did not know, Well,
is this a.
Speaker 1 (15:22):
Spoy It's a one hundred year old book and year
olds Okay, I.
Speaker 3 (15:28):
Did not know that he died, especially this soon. There
were a lot of little moments that I didn't realize
were from this, like memes like that one meme, Oh
what is that one meme that.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
We saw I will follow you into the fires of more?
Speaker 3 (15:43):
Not that one I the simply does not simply Yes,
I did not realize that that was from it. There
was another one. There was another meme or something where
I was like, oh, it's from this, So I guess
that was kind of fun.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
Favorite moment scene anything.
Speaker 3 (16:01):
I don't know. I don't know if I have a
favorite moment. I'm sorry, Okay, that's okay, I know it's
probably actually.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
Was getting off the Gray versus the Bow. That was
pretty show.
Speaker 3 (16:09):
Okay, that was kind of fun.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
You show go pretty cool?
Speaker 3 (16:12):
Yeah, okay, I can I can't.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
Give you that now. Maura does not know anything about
Two Towers or any of the other uh Lord of
the Rings movies. So Two Towers will maybe watch this week.
Hopefully we have a wedding to.
Speaker 3 (16:24):
Do this week, so I don't know if we're gonna
have time.
Speaker 1 (16:26):
Potentially by next week she will have an update on
how she feels about Two Towers, which I definitively think
makes you like the franchise more. Fellowship of the Ring
sets the standards. Two Towers elevates it.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
I will say the final battle in the third and
Return of the King, it's a great battle. Oh it's
a really cool battle. So hold on to that once
everybody shows up a Return of the King, and you'd
be like, oh my gosh, this is really cool.
Speaker 3 (16:49):
I'll say that I don't think I'm gonna watch like
the TV show, but I think I think.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
I'll give it barely watch the TV show.
Speaker 3 (16:56):
I'll give at least the main three a try. I
don't know about the Hobbit. Watch that, but we'll see.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
You should watch a cartoon Hobbit and see how bad
it can really get.
Speaker 3 (17:05):
I didn't know there was a cartoon one.
Speaker 2 (17:07):
It was on PBS like in the eighties.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
It was terrible.
Speaker 3 (17:11):
Okay, well, I think that's all that.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
Out of five rings, what would you give it?
Speaker 3 (17:18):
Oh well, I already told you out of ten, I
thought it was like a four.
Speaker 1 (17:24):
At so two rings out of five.
Speaker 3 (17:28):
Yeah, yeah for me, for me personally, for.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
Someone who had to have any familiarity with a fantasy concept,
I think that it's a fair, very fair scot I'll say.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
That, thank you, Kevin.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
I can't even hear what's going on. I'm just I'm
trying to.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
I'm trying to make some comments so that you can
be included. You need another headset.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
Do you like this my friend that was playing in
the background for you to get you in the of
the movie?
Speaker 3 (17:57):
Am I the only one that heard it?
Speaker 1 (17:58):
No, they will hear it. Everyone has the people. Yes, yes,
and that's that's the end of that. Okay, all right,
Well I'll get out of here. We'll see you next
week for the Two Towers.
Speaker 3 (18:10):
Okay, maybe, because I don't know we're gonna be able
to watch.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
It before then. We'll have time.
Speaker 3 (18:13):
Okay, we'll have bye.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
Leave so I can talk poop about you. Okay, all right, so,
uh did you you scanned off? Ok? Great? So that's
her favorite character of mine personally is Gimli. But I
didn't want to spoil one anningfore so better than.
Speaker 2 (18:30):
The second one.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
Yes, in the second one, which solidifies it. But yeah,
we were on the road to watching all of them.
She's going to launch the homage because, let's face it,
she didn't want to watch the the whatever the lots
Secrets of Dumbledore and we watched it.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
So true, true, true, But I said, like I said
that Lord of the Rings is a dense fantasy story,
and the fact that she even gave the two's surprising
she got into that unwarranted is crazy.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
I didn't. Hey, I'm not making to watch the extended edition. Okay,
so she's getting the streamlined.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
At least it'd be kind of like if you just
if you just made a watch Ultracarbon, which is dim nick.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
I'm okay, it's like, what what the heck is going on?
Or was it Sensate or whatever that other Netflix show
those early days of Netflix. But speaking of Netflix, great
transition set up Kevin, Too Dumb happened over the weekend.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
We're actually guess we're going to talk about that first.
Over the other thing that also.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
Came out this weekend, you know, I know it's fine
to dumb. Essentially was Netflix's version of a comic con
panel slash a little stage show to a degree, there's
really what it was.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
This will look got like more like a like a
fancy dinner.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
To a variety show. I guess if you want to
say that, like a mix of an SNL and an
old seventies variety show. We're pretty much all the Netflix
stars just did whatever the hell they want they wanted,
and some would be a panel, some would do a
little skit and Lady Gaga I was there too, so Hi,
I'm Lady Gaga. I'm Lady Gaga. So most of the trailers,
(20:00):
mines is the Happy Gilmour trailer are really more like
announcements and trailers, so it's not really a lot to
really watch. So we are going to have some of
the stuff in the background, so I will switch us
over to reaction theaters so we can actually, yeah, yeah,
break it down. So, Kevin, what do you want to
(20:22):
talk about first?
Speaker 2 (20:24):
I'm excited for Franknstein's let's talk about.
Speaker 1 (20:26):
That, all right, So let me pull that up. That
was not the one I was gonna pull up foot
Price pull Kevin went rogue and said, you know what, Frankenstein.
But yeah, Frankenstein, which technically it's Germeal del Toro's Frankenstein.
Which we're just having the b roll in the back
because a lot it's Gammel do Toros.
Speaker 2 (20:45):
So it's supposed to just style over action, little trailer substance,
and we don't know what the hell is going on
because it could be based on the book, could be
based on the Universal movie, could be just.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
Gambled littoral doing his own thing.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
GMO, he's the most he.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
But yeah, so this is uh get one of the
Torros Frankenstein. It will have Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, uh,
Charles Dance, and Christoph Waltz. Uh. It looks like Oscar
Isaac will be Victor Frankenstein. Jacob Elordi will be the
monster uh Mia Goth not bride of Frankenstein, but sort
of a love interest. It looks like for Victor Frankenstein.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
Taking this one pretty I would say pretty seriously. Because
they all move is taken seriously, but like they're going
to all in the period piece factor of it and
not trying to update anything. They're not trying to you know,
confuse it with more common tech than we have today.
Like no, they go on like straight from the book,
which is pretty interesting because we haven't really seen the
take on Frankenstein in a long time. I mean, probably
(21:48):
the newest thing weally take on it is probably What's
the show What Ways Bio Max James Gunn, Lady Frankenstein.
Speaker 1 (21:54):
On it, Oh, Creature Commandos, the Bride.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
Yes, yes, yes, that's probably like the most current Frankenstein
that we have really and I can't think anything before that.
So this is kind of cool to it going to
kind of back to where it all started.
Speaker 1 (22:05):
It is weird too that Netflix is doing this because personally,
if I was Universal in Comcast, would you capitalize on
this movie coming out to promote your park? Is this
is the most recent Frankenstein like thing to watch or
do you promote just the classic stuff? Because seeing this,
I'd be like, all right, cool, this is one of
the Frankenstein stuff is gonna be at at Dark Universe
(22:27):
and in Epic Universe but it is gonna be a
very gothic tale. And if you've seen any of Gamble
Told Toro's work, whether it's Shape of Water or Panned
Labyrinth or anything like that, it is gonna be stylized
the hell which we're seeing little red red demon angels
and all this type of stuff going on.
Speaker 2 (22:45):
Okay, even frank the once Frankston's Monster on like the
I guess the stretch or whatever. It doesn't look like
a traditional like you know, stitch dead body parts. Yeah,
it was like a more like you said, stylized more
just like a cocoon of light. Still just like a
here's this man's arm, this man's leg, and this man's
side of the face. It looks like it's very taking
(23:05):
a little bit more artistically.
Speaker 1 (23:09):
It has some bizazz to it. It will as of
right now. I lost the date, Kevin. When you have
a release date on it, I forgot maybe November. So
that's interesting it's coming out in November because that would
be perfect for Halloween. But you know it's one of
those things where hey, we're getting the black Phone too
during October seventeenth. But this missed the mark and that's okay.
Speaker 2 (23:33):
Actually, why watch it just a little bit of a Tralia.
It kind of reminds me of the feeling of the
setting of the first Sherlock Holmes a little bit where
it's a little more real, like more modern, brutal, less
realistic to a degree.
Speaker 1 (23:47):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, industrial. That is a franchise. I also
want to get more to watch, but she said no,
I'm like, all those two movies are good though. I
think sheple like they're pretty good. They hold up still
and they're from like two thousand and eight and.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
Third one.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
But everybody's busy, everyone's too famous. Dan.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
But then Kevin, we need to talk about Obviously, we
don't really watch One Piece that much, but we did
have a big announcement just as we kind of just
pop up something.
Speaker 1 (24:15):
We're just gonna pop up some trailers and have a
good time. It's what we're doing because we're doing the podcast.
Is we know that Tony Tony Chopper will be joining
the Straw Hats and One Piece season two, which is
officially coming out twenty twenty six. Akay, here's a little
dear guy with the hat. If you've seen that imagery
at all, if you've seen it a comic con.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
Kind of like there, I'll shoot Paddington anime Paddington to.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
A degree, to an degree, so this is cool. Obviously
some of the announcements we're gonna talk about. This makes
sense why One Piece is getting pushed to twenty twenty six.
I am excited. I'm gonna give this show a try,
the live action version on the train this weekend where
I go down to my brother's brother's wedding to watch
first episode and then see if we like it or not,
(25:02):
because I think the thing with Netflix is anime to
live action is there's always a weird little like not
a sheene, but it's like a weird like it doesn't
seem real to a degree, Like I think Cowboy Bebop
was an example of that, Like this is a real
live action people, but it doesn't not gelling for some reason.
One Piece kind of found the magic sauce that gets
(25:23):
getting a season two.
Speaker 2 (25:26):
Because even I don't watch One Piece, I'll never watch
one because there's a time too many episodes. One Piece
has a doctor Wholi problem, was like, Okay, where do
I start because you have a million things going on,
but you can kind of see that this is like
the first anime thing they kind of got right, and
it'd be interesting to see they keep diving into the
anime world to bring things to live action because I mean,
(25:49):
it's the most famous anime of all time.
Speaker 1 (25:51):
Well that's the thing, what streamings, I mean technically because
Dragon Ball Z and Super that's all. If you're gonna
do another live action adaptation, we're gonna talk about that.
Moview dozens. I think who would get the rights because
Hulu has it right now, but if it's on Crunchy
l Ain't, nobody's gonna launch it, So then it's kind
of a Netflix does have the rights to Dima, the
new Netflix series, so it'll be interesting. What happens with
(26:14):
the Bigger one Piece is one of the big the
Big three one Piece, dragon Ball Nauto, So.
Speaker 2 (26:19):
Yeah, basically, and then somewhere wrong line is like you know,
Gundam and I want to just end it with a
giant human monsters.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
What was it called Attack on Tackle? Yes, yes, the
Big Five. Well we have a musical. You can watch
the musical instead. But Tony twenty six makes sense, I
assume probably end of July, because you got something else
that we'll talk about near the end of this because
the big hefty monster that came out for the dumb
We all waited.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
For the big hefty monster.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
I love how that's I mean, it's what is featured,
and it is all of that. But on the flip side,
you know, you got one piece. But yeah, also got
your sports movie that's gonna make everyone happy, happy Gilmore
July twenty fifth, We got a new trailer for that.
Kevin does not want to watch the trailer, so he
doesn't have to if he chooses not to. Nintendo Mike
(27:07):
is in the chat. That's great. Kevin is literally googling
Happy Gilmour too. Release date did not hide that at all.
He has no shame whatever.
Speaker 2 (27:17):
See my process.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
Okay, all right, well our onees your process. But yeah, this,
I mean, we didn't really need a second trailer. This
is more kind of giving away some of the sauce
because of the storylines. But MJF will be Adam Sandler's
son does look like you know, one of his daughters
will be his daughter in the movie, the other one
doing her own thing.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
So that's okay, his one daughter and looks just like
his wife like he's.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
And then the other daughter looks exactly like him with
bad bunny. Benito will be heavily featured in this in
this movie, which is dope. He'll be happy, Caddie obviously.
I forget what the actor's name.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
Shooter McGavin is coming back, Chris McDonald.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
There you go, yeah, yes, uh shoot out. Ben Steeller
back as hal l And I mean, this movie isn't
gonna be a Cinemaga master piece, but it's just gonna
be a good time interesting enough. I feel like this
should come out fourth of July, and that's what you
push to watch on Netflix. But it's coming out there
in July instead for for July.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
Shoor everybody, everybody, you know, Greg gathering Er, you watch
Having Give More one first for your family. You go
have some hot dogs and you watch it that you
have some.
Speaker 1 (28:29):
Hot dogs and you come back have a good time.
Speaker 2 (28:33):
I'm interesting how this goes, though, because usually we see these,
you know, ten year plus sequels not do so well.
My Anchorman two, what was the one with Ben Steeler
and the modeling Zulanderlander two, they're like, okay, recently Come
to America two was terrible. I'm sorry, it was not
funny at all.
Speaker 1 (28:51):
That was a pandemic movie. I forgot about.
Speaker 2 (28:54):
It was so weird James Joel Jones being at his
own funeral and then like he died while he went
to school. This was a weird thing.
Speaker 1 (28:59):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, but ye.
Speaker 2 (29:00):
But Adam Sandler, though, has kind of made a living
on Netflix the last ten years, I want to say,
mm hmm, and most of his movies are watchable, even
though once in our comedies kind of like your yours. Yeah,
so most of the movies are pattable. So it's interesting
to see how much care he put into this and
see if it is as heartwarming as the first Happy
gil More. And I'm also hoping for a big Daddy too.
(29:22):
I want to go to Madison too.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
Now here's the thing if we get if we get
a big Daddy too, you need to bring the Sprouse
twins back. And just like that's the plot. It was like, hey,
you had a brother, he was a twin and you
were not. And you're like, all right, let's do like
I'm down with that, totally do that.
Speaker 2 (29:38):
That's a great plot. You just did on the top
of your head too, that's a great plot.
Speaker 1 (29:40):
Now he gets both the sprouts to win some work,
because only one of them is really acting. The other
one is doing whatever he wants doing bitcoin Like, yeah,
we got the.
Speaker 2 (29:48):
Kids, but yeah, this definitely does seem more along the
lines of like a grown ups where like there's a
lot of people get a little cameo seen.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
So if you like grown ups, you'll probably like this.
Probably pbably won't be as a kid to the first
Abby Gilmore, which is totally okay, it's got to modernized
to agree to.
Speaker 2 (30:04):
So just through the trailer like like, it's a pretty
good actor.
Speaker 1 (30:10):
Oh, I mean this is a professional wrestler, so I
would assume so. But on the flip side of this,
Kevin Happy Gilmore and you know, no one's probably gonna
die hopefully, let's talk about the thing where everybody's gonna
die except probably the one main character. Because Squid Game
season three also got a trailer the final season for
(30:32):
that coming out June twenty seventh, So that's probably why
Happy Gilmore isn't coming out during four of July weekend,
because they know people are gonna binge watch all of that.
This is the final season of Squid Game. Oddly enough,
it's mostly a continuation of season two. It's not like
a separate Hunger Game scenario where there's a third it's
more like the back Hunger games. I guess, dealing with
(30:54):
the fallout. Did you watch Squid Game season two?
Speaker 2 (30:56):
keV No. I don't only watch season one one, mostly
because I was gonna watch season two it just ended.
Speaker 1 (31:04):
Just wait, Yeah, yeah, I think that might be the move.
Like you and Alicia, I'm assuming Alicia liked this a
lot more than you did. You guys watched the second
season the week before this comes out, and then you're
kind of golden of remembering everything and all the characters
and ins and outs of everything. Who dies, like, oh damn,
they were a great character last season.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
I we'll say, because because it's just the way my
brain works, it's hard for me to remember characters in
the subtitled show. Mm hm, so I probably need to
watch for season again. Anyway, good older person, I remember
it's a guy from.
Speaker 1 (31:34):
Well I saw you need to remember from first season.
So he's the only one who live. So yeah, so
I think that would be a plus if you haven't
watched Squid Game season two to kind of binge watch
them together player four five six. He's the main guy. Uh,
but yeah, it looks it looks good. And it'll be
interesting how they end it. Will it have like a
we've solved it with the squid games are over, or
(31:57):
because you remember, they're supposed to be making that American
Squid Game show, so that does the t up that
has no.
Speaker 2 (32:02):
Way of being like as good as the first one, right,
there's no chance.
Speaker 1 (32:05):
Here's the thing. If you get at least one obviously,
you will have what uh the main actor's name, actor
Lee Lee Young? Yeah, Lee Jung Jay. Uh, you're right, yeah,
Lee Jung Jay. You would assume would be the one
who survives and would go into the American Squad Game
(32:26):
or the villain at the same time. And then you
need at least one notable actor and that's how you
carry it the whole time of like, are we gonna,
like example, will we see Sabrina Carpenter die or Sabrina
Carpenter Are gonna make it the whole damn time?
Speaker 2 (32:38):
Yeah? Yeah, And it'll probably have like a know, Netflix
type of actor that we've seen kind of howbo tackles
their actions too.
Speaker 1 (32:44):
You know, Jenny and Georgia is ending this season, so
maybe the cast of Jenny and Georgia, you got the
Outer Banks cast, you know, I've.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
Seen more episodes of Jenny and Georgia and Out of
Bank secondhand because my wife.
Speaker 1 (32:54):
Does well, you're gonna be watching a lot when they
both comes out in the next season.
Speaker 2 (33:00):
Georgia's just bad people.
Speaker 1 (33:02):
Here's the thing. I thought Jenny and Georgia was a
wholesome show, like about like a mom adopting a daughter.
And then I'm for what to watch this week? I'm
doing the trailer for and like, what the hell Georgia
has in jail? But Jenny has to navigate teenage adolescents,
Like what the hell is going on?
Speaker 2 (33:21):
Jenny and Georgia is almost e frecking morning we left
science Fiction. They're terrible people.
Speaker 1 (33:25):
The first season's trailer would not tell you that. You
were like, oh, third season is a lot different. But
to talk about a thing that's getting a third season,
let's talk about a franchise that's getting a third movie
Knives Out three a ka wake Up dead Man.
Speaker 2 (33:45):
This is a beatle. The name of the movie I
is it always to play on another song? Remember what
it is though, beatles.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
Let's see wake Up dead Man song a U two
song from noweteen ninety seven.
Speaker 2 (34:01):
That's what it is all right.
Speaker 1 (34:02):
I don't know if the reference in that, but who knows.
That could be the song that plays Kevin Easy Netflix Access.
Speaker 2 (34:09):
I actually I ran across it on another podcast listened
to it. Apparently all the Knaves that movies have had
song titles of their subtitles.
Speaker 1 (34:15):
I didn't realize that Last Knives maybe glass Onion seems
like a weird title. But yeah, ben Wan Blanc will
be returning Daniel Craig. It was funny that I saw
on Twitter or x this past weekend Someone's like, Daniel
Craig gave up being James Bonds. That could be ben
Wan Blanc and we are all here for it. I'm like,
not wrong, because he's pretty good.
Speaker 2 (34:35):
Ben Wan Blanc is an amazing character. I kind of
wish he could cross franchises being everything he show up
on The Avengers. What are you talking about?
Speaker 1 (34:44):
Well, and that's the thing, if it's so hard if
Ryan and Ryan Johnson's back to directed, he's directed the
other two. Obviously, Last Jedi, what was that? It was
a chronicle? What was the Johnson? The Ryan Johnson movie
before Looper? Looper is pretty good. Yeah, Cooper is pretty obviously,
Flash Jedi is divisive, but the Knives Out movies have
(35:04):
always hit. I think the first one was obviously a
little bit better and streamlined. The second one was was
pretty good, but it's the pandemic movie. I think this
one will be really interesting, just as you get kind
of more supernaturally slash religiony and two a degree. So
bitch is that Josh O'Connor, Glenn Close, Josh brol and
me the Cooness, jeer me Reyner, Kerry Washington, Kaylee Spanny,
(35:27):
and Thomas Haytan Church. So stack cast once again and
find out who did it? Who is the killer coolness?
Speaker 2 (35:35):
When like that sticks too brought it was like the
third time I last year, like, oh, that's really the.
Speaker 1 (35:39):
Coolness And this one was really like a forty five
minute second trailers that's what we're not really reacting to it.
But othertheless, I believe that comes out. This is the
fun thing. Was you had to figure out how to
do Roman numerals twelve twelve, twenty twenty five, so it
comes out December twelfth, twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (35:58):
Was there was so many xes and dashes. I can't,
I can't, I can't read it right now? After three
I'm done. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (36:07):
You put that I excellent. Huh what does that mean? Please? Yeah,
that'd be fun. And that's your kind of Christmas movie.
If you're looking for something to watch with the family
that's not Christmas movie, watch Nimes Out instead on Netflix.
Speaker 2 (36:21):
We'll also watching the first two miles as well. They're
both really good movies.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
Uh, but Kevin the main event, Well, we all were
waiting for h that's all weird. I got the actual
trailer and then if one of those fake trailers fake
trailer did not was not PG. I'll tell you that
right now. Because Shanger Things season five has a release date,
they got thirty seconds of a two minute trailer to
(36:47):
show off new footage, and we now know the final
season will be separated into three releases batches. I guess
you could say Volume one coming out November twenty sixth,
five Pmcific time at a specific time. So if you're
waking up twenty six you gotta wait for the specific time.
That's kind of your Thanksgiving week. Volume two will come
(37:08):
out Christmas Day at five pm Pacific time. Should just
come out in the morning, honestly, it really should. After
Presents watch some Stranger Things.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
People an't be getting ready for football now because football
christs is a thing now.
Speaker 1 (37:20):
Yeah, it's true. Netflix co commanders this time and the finale,
which will be the final batch, will come out New
Year's Eve at five pm Pacific time. Will it be
four hours long.
Speaker 2 (37:32):
So you can finish Stranger Things as soon as the
New Year hits. Who knows, the Duffer brothers did make
good on their promise you're getting all of it this year.
Speaker 1 (37:40):
But it is interesting.
Speaker 2 (37:42):
I mean it's really like a month span, so it's
not too bad, but is wild to think the fourth
season of Stranger Things finished up almost.
Speaker 1 (37:51):
Exactly three years ago as of July first.
Speaker 2 (37:54):
You know, like like I've been saying for a while,
and they've been releasing like, you know, stage set photos
of like who are these adults? I don't know who
these adults are. These kids have grown up in front
of our own eyes. It's just crazy to see. And
like you said, we're tend to thin getting it all
this year. But I mean, if somebody starts to think
an hour later, they don't get it all on one year.
Speaker 1 (38:16):
You gotta wait till twenty twenty six. What they're counting on,
you see? Interesting enough, Kevin Stranger Things season one first
came out July fifteenth, twenty sixteen, So it's been nine
years since that came out, which which is wild because
you feel like that came out like twenty thirteen or
something like that. It's been that long, but it's nine years. Practically.
(38:38):
I don't really I remember what happened in Strange of
Thing season four, but this is definitely something you need
to watch that season again. Someone did the math. If
you start the final season, I think a week like
the nineteenth of November, and watch an episode a day.
I know those last couple episodes are like two hour movies.
You would finish right on time for November two, twenty
(39:00):
six to get ready.
Speaker 2 (39:01):
Interesting and also just look at looking at the schedule
right now. Netflix is a little diabolical here and in there,
in there. Okay, So one o'clock Christmas Day, Cowboys Commanders.
That game's going around four to forty five. That game ends,
you go make sure you get your food ready. Five
o'clock you're back on the Netflix watching Stranger Things. You
don't leave.
Speaker 1 (39:20):
Oh yeah, and there's five five pm Pacific five pm
Pacific time, so this is eight o'clock. Kevin our time.
So are there two? Are there two games on Netflix?
Speaker 2 (39:29):
Just so that's a game at four thirty as well,
line's back because it's when that game ends.
Speaker 1 (39:33):
Dan, you watch Stranger Things, so you hear the whole
day we locked.
Speaker 2 (39:36):
On a Netflix from twelve pm Christmas to about twelve.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
Midnight midnight at least. Yeah. So there's eight episodes total
for the final season. Uh So I assume.
Speaker 2 (39:49):
He'll do a three or four whatever and then the
finale episode obviously at least going to be linked. I'm
pretty sure there'd be linked the episode like like we've seen.
Speaker 1 (39:58):
Before, at least an hour each forever episode exactly.
Speaker 2 (40:01):
They have a lot of story to tie up. There
are a lot of things going on. But in she
was the name of the city a game Hawkins, Hawkins. I'm
excited to see how it ends. Honestly, who survives because
Hopper is cheated definitely five times.
Speaker 1 (40:17):
So he's got a sacrifice. He's got to have the
sacrificial death. You know, for eleven you know what he
does it what.
Speaker 2 (40:21):
He does youself, he doesn't die. So even what he
does sacrifice, he don't sticks around.
Speaker 1 (40:26):
I think what's gonna happen is, yeah, give me your
early ball prediction. Obviously the Hopper thing. I think all
the kids are gonna survive, They're gonna grow up. It's
gonna be like epilogue, and it's gonna be a Harry
Potter route where they're like all in their thirties or whatever,
and their kids are stumbling upon the dungeons and dragons,
I mean dungeons and dragons, and then one of them
(40:46):
gets a noseble like God's Eleven's kid, and then that's
how they ended, and the end it will be that.
Speaker 2 (40:53):
And then also I feel like one of one of
the crews want to move out of Hawkins and figure
out that the same things happening in some you know,
the Appalation Mountains something like that, because I mean West
Virginia has a lot of appellation lore about it. You
don't go to Ablution Mountains. You don't aswer back there.
You're thinking of spin off at the end of this,
maybe not a spin off, maybe just like an open
(41:14):
ended ending to tease interest and who knows.
Speaker 1 (41:18):
Maybe See here's the thing. I think people have lost
interest in stranger things that might be in a case
of the chat is that, like it's just been so
long they like, I want to finish it. I want
to see where we're going. But then I'm done because
I like it's storyline for TV making a movie then instead,
because I can't do you know, two more years until
the other season comes out or whatever. We've done it
(41:39):
four times now.
Speaker 2 (41:41):
That could be a thing on a Netflix original movie
of a Stranger Things, a Stranger Things story or something
like story exactly like that, because Stranger Things is one
of Netflix is like Marquee Ips, it's their main original
IP and numbers have shown that people will all go
on and side up the Netflix when Tranger Things out
and leave when it's over, So I can't imagine them
(42:03):
wanting to leave the franchise behind. Himus move on kind
of like you know, we have what eight Mission Impossibles,
twelve Fast and Furious movies. They're gonna figure out a
way to do another trade of things adjacent thing, maybe
not Stranger Things with this is with this cast and
in this area, but something that leads from the lore
of Hawkins to something else.
Speaker 1 (42:20):
The Netflix doesn't have the Thanksgiving Games too, does it.
It's just the Christmas Games.
Speaker 2 (42:24):
I think it's at the Christmas Games.
Speaker 1 (42:25):
Check real quick, because I would assume during the entire
broadcast they will have stranger things, they'll pop ups or whatever.
So maybe Jane Daniels will be crossing over the upside down.
Maybe they'll get you know, him and Dak Prescott like
doing some interstitials with stranger things or something.
Speaker 2 (42:41):
Who to Bena Jane Daniels, Jane Daniels, he did it.
Speaker 1 (42:46):
He toss that spirals so tight. I think I still
like the theory. I don't think they will do this. Uh.
I've always always talked about every time we talk about
stranger things, is they cut and it's the kids playing
and dragons spend a game the whole damn time. That
I think would be a cool thing. It just depends
if they have the foot if they had footage of
(43:07):
them doing that. But who knows.
Speaker 2 (43:10):
Similar to that, like I think it was General Hospital
and if it end up being some kids, some boys
dreams something like that.
Speaker 1 (43:18):
All that happened because he was he was sleep, it wouldn't.
It wouldn't negate all the like new characters that gave
it the back seasons.
Speaker 2 (43:25):
But what it is, it looks like there are no
Netflix games on Thanksgiving.
Speaker 1 (43:31):
Okay, so Thanksgiving they said just stay with us during
Thanksgiving Day. We got your copy. Yeah, it'll be fun,
we'll watch it. It'll just be interest. See, like, when
do you watch it during break?
Speaker 2 (43:43):
I don't think a lot of people are gonna watch
it that day, especially, I mean New Year's Day is probably.
Speaker 1 (43:47):
When everyone's gonna watch it finale most likely. For sure.
Speaker 2 (43:50):
I look for people to actually just watch the whole,
the whole, to watch the whole thing starting.
Speaker 1 (43:54):
One's gonna be way too long. That's gonna be well,
I guess, yeah, you do one to day sure, maybe,
Like I mean.
Speaker 2 (44:00):
People that are still like I also be working during
the holiday break, so I probably won't have time to
watch all of them m hm on Christmas Christmas night,
so I bet I'm sure there's people in that same
boat where they campas camp out and watch all of them.
And also we don't know how many episodes they're releasing,
which is each best all four and three?
Speaker 1 (44:18):
Yeah, yeah, four and three.
Speaker 2 (44:20):
So yeah, it'll be nice to frind to get closed
with this show because, I mean, like so many other things,
the pandemic ruined the timeline of the show because they
had they couldn't film anything for what two years basically
and these kids got a hold.
Speaker 1 (44:31):
And then the Rider's track happened, and then hey.
Speaker 2 (44:34):
Strike actress strike.
Speaker 1 (44:36):
But I mean, yeah, with this ending, you know, I'm
just gonna switch this back over the normal view for
right now too. We talk about the other trailer. It
is the and of an era for a Netflix, So
then it is and it will be interesting to see
will Netflix. It seems like Netflix right now is kind
of going into the anime in the live action with
you know, we have Avatar, which I think comes out
sometime too. So I think Avatar one Piece is gonna
(44:57):
be really close to one another when they release one
Piece and then other stuff the reality shows, so we
don't see they get rid of all the like big
concept theatrical shows for the more lower budget stakes. We'll see.
Speaker 2 (45:12):
Yeah. And also I'm trying to put the MC and
everything else. Millie Bobby Brown for Jean, I don't want
to have him be discussed yet she's basically Gene now.
Speaker 1 (45:20):
See. I think the thing is, I think a lot
of people are burnt on Millie Bobby Brown. I think
I like her. I just think like Netflix obviously pushed
her a lot in the you know, the homes and
that other movie. But then she was in the Monster
Verse and people are like, oh, Eleven's here, you know,
like she's got like true and unfortunately I think I
don't think I mean film more part we've kind of like, oh, yeah,
(45:40):
he's the same character and everything he's in. And then
Caleb McCloughlin, I believe is the kid's name. He's been
in stuff, but not really breakout roles.
Speaker 2 (45:50):
So yeah, the only other thing I can remember of
him being in he was in the reenactment of w
Devau with a movie called can remember the movie is
called but he was the one that wanted younger singers
and the younger version of the singer in that movie.
Speaker 1 (46:02):
But I would say baby David Harper has probably been
the most stand out, gotten the most roles after this
show's come out. Charlie or Joe Keary obviously doing music
now was a couple of things.
Speaker 2 (46:17):
One of the.
Speaker 1 (46:18):
Brothers, Will I think was Will's brother, was in New
Mutants and then Going New so yeah, and.
Speaker 2 (46:24):
Then uh, she was her name, I can't remember her name,
but she's gonna be. She was, She's gonna be the
next part of the movie.
Speaker 1 (46:30):
Max Yes was Red Ranger at one that is correct.
Speaker 2 (46:34):
And then their friend from last year is human toured,
so some of them had broken.
Speaker 1 (46:39):
Yeah, oh yeah, sorry, yeah, we've totally forgot. We forgot
about what the hell is Eddy actor. It's hard when
you have all these actors. Joe Quinn, that's what Joseph quick.
So technically he said, the most glow up from just
being a cameo guest actor more than anything. But and
the other.
Speaker 2 (46:56):
Lady's been in the Two Things too, Joe Keary's like
ice ice cream parlor.
Speaker 1 (47:01):
Oh maya Hawk. Yes, she's been on the come up
to you, but that's more NEPO. That's more NEPO than
Stranger Things. So but she hasn't had a breakout breakout yet.
But still you see herself all the time. Now, well,
she's gonna be in the Hunger Games movie that comes out,
so we'll see if with how that happens to Yeah,
I still want it. But speaking of superheroes, Kevin gen
(47:26):
V Season two officially is coming Anya boys birthday and
I am so excited. As a birthday treat to me,
we somehow got a trailer for this in the middle
of todumb. It really feels like because if you didn't know.
Uh c c XP, which is Brazilian's comic con now
was this weekend and now like till like tomorrow, I believe. Uh.
Speaker 2 (47:48):
Usually it's where you get Sony and Prime will kind
of do their own thing and release trailers.
Speaker 1 (47:54):
Uh. Gen V just said, hey, here's our new trailer.
Watch it if you if you like it, if you don't, Hey,
you'll see it eventually. You don't worry after the dumb events.
Speaker 2 (48:03):
Oh, this was like Amazon saying, Okay, you're cute to them.
How about the hottest show of the last five years,
The Boys. It's subsidiary, which is good. Here's gen V
for your consideration.
Speaker 1 (48:14):
Yeah, and like and here's the thing, gen V call
us off guard because I feel like we were like,
oh yeah, and then it's got good and really set
up obviously the previous season of The Boys. I know
the last season is coming up soon, which will probably
be the end of next year, well maybe middle of
next year most likely, because with this season two come
out seven or seventeenth. I'm assuming Prime Video method is
(48:37):
there'll be three episodes and then like a month later
it'll be over gen v ending setting up The Boys,
and you know, unfortunately one of the actors passed away,
and they actually handled it pretty well according to the trailer,
Like how did how to deal with that?
Speaker 2 (48:53):
The way they handled it, We'll see that. Are we
playing this right now?
Speaker 1 (48:56):
We are going to play it right now? One two, three,
Watch and react. You get sorry, welcome back, we got
carried away. That's the guy from letting me the Vampire show.
I'm grateful you're and I twitch away from leaping across
this table and ripping my throat out with your teeth.
(49:23):
I get what you're upset. It's a dark after what happened.
This song has a good choice too, just like.
Speaker 2 (49:37):
Oh yeah, killer now it's killer trailer. I don't care.
I'm sorry, I'm sorry for your new Dean good Dulkin.
Speaker 1 (49:49):
It is time that humans learn.
Speaker 3 (49:52):
About what runs through our veins.
Speaker 2 (49:54):
Is true?
Speaker 1 (49:55):
Fuck blue? Okay?
Speaker 2 (49:58):
Interesting that this is like a reverse good will come.
I want to burn the school down to the motherfucking stuff.
Speaker 1 (50:08):
Yeah, let's fucking go. I will be preparing you to
put superhero battles like a robot battles, not students fight.
You will fight, bless your hearts and hold onto your butt.
(50:36):
We should run.
Speaker 3 (50:38):
What we should be doing is disrupt breaks. However we
do we do it together.
Speaker 1 (50:51):
Have no idea what you're tealing.
Speaker 2 (51:01):
Let's go three two sophomore years gonna be lit.
Speaker 1 (51:08):
Hell Yeah, Like that's a good trailer. That like that's
a hype trailer, like it is like it is still
there's a prime video Literarstitchal okay, cool, that was very
loud for some reason, jen v I we really walked
like we said. I do think season two budget will
be better for the show, like the Blood Powers for
(51:29):
Marie will look even better. And unfortunately Chance Predomina passed
away and it looks like I believe what was his dad,
Sean Patrick Thomas, who played Polarity. I don't know if
he showed up.
Speaker 2 (51:42):
I don't remember if he showed up last season the Boys,
but he was referenced a lot. It's beanter to see
his dad kind of take a little bit of his
role but be more.
Speaker 1 (51:51):
Of a father grieving of where's Where's where's my.
Speaker 2 (51:54):
Son's a It's a smart way to do it. I
think it honors his passing and still kind of is
a good way to show how at length you will
go to fight for your family, even if they're not here. Anymore.
So I feel like he's gonna his parts was gonna
be very, very powerful. Yeah, I feel like we're watching
this this season. And one of the genius is of
(52:15):
the show. I remember we announced this when I we announced,
but when they announced the show h and they said
it was gonna be about you know, gen V college
and in the boys world. I really thought pretty coquel.
The fact that the show happens and it happens in
the same time as what's happened with the boys it
is happening is genius. It's a very smart way to
do this.
Speaker 1 (52:33):
Yeah. And if you remember Kate and Sam, you know
they were the our turncoats at the end of gen
V season one. They did pop up and the Boys, uh,
they were more came a little bit more. Lackeys didn't
really get too much. It was more like an inside
reward for people who watched gen V. Yeah, so they
are technically I remember part of the Seven or some
(52:56):
version of the seven. So'll be interested see how they
are now though we got to go back to college.
How we're going to deal with that? How long have
our characters been in lock up where we see maybe
a Huie or Frenchy show up at the end of
Remember the Boys is hit the fan and they all
got arrested.
Speaker 2 (53:12):
So basically everybody is some kind of a everybody startlights
some kind of confinement right now. And it's also interesting
to see with this series, how okay it looks like
that they're training people at a university now to be
basically peacekeepers or militia. How does that go over with
(53:34):
the general public who now kind of know that, you know,
the heroes have taken over.
Speaker 1 (53:38):
So yeah, and especially now that humans are also going
to the college and like, all right, hey, we gotta
do pe. But guess what, You're going to get lapped immediately.
Speaker 2 (53:51):
Now, really want to judo class, You're gonna get destroyed.
Speaker 1 (53:56):
Here is the actual pop synopsis from Amazon I pulled
so as the rest of America adjust, the Homelanders Iron Fists.
At the end of last season of The Boys, back
at Goadulkin University, the mysterious new Dean who Midnight Mass
That's if that's what the show is called, preaches a
curriculum that promises to make students more powerful than ever.
Kate and Sam are celebrated heroes, while Marie Jordan and
(54:18):
Emma reluctantly returned to college, burned by months of traumas
and loss, but parties and classes are hard to care about.
With war ruined between humans and soups both on and
off campus. The gang learns of a secret program that
goes back to the founding of Godulkin and may have
larger implications than they realize, and somehow Marie is part
of it.
Speaker 2 (54:38):
And we gotta saw that Marie was a very focal point,
a very interesting focal point with the now deceased I
guess vice president Dean vice president, Yes, said yeah, because
existent she had the same type of power. But now
now if she's gone, there's nobody kind of got her.
So I wonder how how Because do you remember if
(54:59):
they locked up the the c I a lady at
the end of the seasons last season two. I don't.
Speaker 1 (55:06):
I don't remember Kevin actually that is.
Speaker 2 (55:10):
But obviously this is a cell that that is gonna
be harmful to Homelander and what he wants to do.
If she can figure out how to reach them and
weaponize them to release the Boys, we could have have
like a season five of the Boys end game situation
on our hands where it's like you know, everybody mount up.
It's them against the seven against against Vought, and let's
see who comes out the winner. What I mean, they
(55:31):
haven't really gone to fall out superhero fight yet in
this series.
Speaker 1 (55:35):
We want to have done superhero Grace died. Grace died
at the last season because remember Bryan, I think was
was Homelander son he killed their accidentally.
Speaker 2 (55:46):
Yes, that's what it was. You're right. But still we
could be gearing up for like an end game style everybody,
everybody ment a blessed fight thing and be interesting to
see how they do this because I was saying, even
though we've seen supero fights on the Boys, they've been
very grounded. M hm.
Speaker 1 (56:00):
Put the budget all out and just do it. Yeah, exactly.
Speaker 2 (56:03):
And we still haven't heard from one woman lady.
Speaker 1 (56:05):
She did she died too, wonder woman Lady. Oh, yes,
she kind of was. I think that is a she'll
come back in the back and work with McGuff and yeah,
I may. I believe it was what it was. It's
funny just having to remember all the names, like that's
why I have the cast list UF, so you remember
some of the things I don't remember. Their monikers by
no other names I think also with the Boys' final
(56:29):
season probably being next year most likely, it'll be interesting
if if this gen V gets wrapped up here, if they,
like you said, they wrap it up in the final
season of the Boys, because I mean, The Boys is
always delivered on the goods. I know a lot of
people didn't like last season. Really it was dumb. I
(56:49):
I've enjoyed The Boys every season and gen V obviously,
so be internest see do we end this book or
do we keep going with spinoffs? Potentially like I think.
Speaker 2 (57:00):
Announce a couple other series spin off. I can't remember
what they were, though, but I wouldn't mind if they
use season three is MV as like an epilogue to
The Boys. Hmm, here's where we are now his graduation,
He's what the world is like about seven now when
a home leander. He probably won't die because nothing, nothing
happens good than the Boys. But if if the bad
guy is taken down and less he's of the Boys.
Here's what the world looks like now here here here,
(57:21):
how the threats are so that that'd be kind of cool.
Speaker 1 (57:24):
Tentatively, Uh, there is a Boys Mexico, which I believe
Diego Luna was involved. I believe at one point, I'm
not sure if it's still happening. And then VOT Rising
will be the prequel show with Jensen Ackles and that
sort of crew of characters that we kind of saw
in The Boys season three. I believe UH five will
(57:45):
be in twenty twenty six. No, don't know how many episodes,
but gen V will start September seventeen, three episodes and
they'll have eight episodes total, so and it'll end October
twenty second.
Speaker 2 (57:58):
I still kind of hope we see I think starts
Homelann to show up, because when he showed up in
Lesson Oh, we were.
Speaker 1 (58:03):
Like, oh he's gonna be Oh no, he's just damn self.
Still damn it.
Speaker 2 (58:09):
So this whole franchise has been been a blessing in disguise. Definitely.
I want to have Amazon who they had when they
got this series and they realized, oh shoot, we actually
have something great here. And then also it's another production
by Seth Rogan. Seth Rogan is involved with this show
as well, and he just knows what he's doing. Man,
I don't understand it.
Speaker 1 (58:26):
Go watch the Studio on Apple TV. Plus it's also good,
just saying anything he touches good and it's interesting. Just two.
I know we've kind of compared it to the Boys
with and gen V. Obviously with Invincible is uh. It
seems like they put more budget into The Boys compared
(58:47):
to Invincible, but both still get in their own ways.
This is just a lot more shocking, I feel like,
compared to Invincible because it is live action. I think
that helps that we.
Speaker 2 (58:58):
See you think that body part is life. Actually, like
I remember in the last season the gen V the
lady whose touch powers are too she touches you, she
could compare you to anything you want. When Marie broke
her hand and it's just like her hands shattered, it
was that's a that's small scale to show up.
Speaker 1 (59:15):
There was some bigger stuff that urethras. That's all we'll say.
That was season one.
Speaker 2 (59:21):
I love it.
Speaker 1 (59:22):
That was season one. Imagine if they do that with
the budget now, my god, let us know what you
think about gen V? Are excited for it? What Netflix
show you're most excited to see this year? Obviously we'll
we'll include one piece in there because it's twenty twenty six,
probably most likely January. Let us know at Infinite Underscore pods. Yes, Kevin,
(59:43):
I know, sure.
Speaker 2 (59:43):
What it's not going to hear nothing about it. Avatar,
I thought we can avatar trailer nothing.
Speaker 1 (59:48):
Nah, you're good. We said season three is happening. That's
all you need to know. That's all you need to know.
Speaker 2 (59:52):
Dang, put something together. Just just give me. Give me
the drums and and the show theme. That's all I need.
Speaker 1 (59:58):
That's all I need. Damn it, nothing but your boy
will be out for a week, so Kevin will be
locking it down. Will it be talking about news, will
it be playing some Assassin's creed. Well, that's up to
Kevin and decide for this Thursday installment whenever that comes out.
Speaker 2 (01:00:14):
Yeah, I gotta reach out to my Crisis crew members
and see if they're available. If not, it might be
a solo dolo episode.
Speaker 1 (01:00:21):
Or maybe just have your wife on ask ask her
some questions.
Speaker 2 (01:00:26):
I would.
Speaker 1 (01:00:27):
She hates being down in the basement, so go upstairs.
Bring the microphone with you. Then that's one of the
do some gorilla interviewing. What do you think about this, ma'am?
You can't leave its people must know. People must know.
Just bring your phone and stream from your phone on Twitch.
You'll be fine.
Speaker 2 (01:00:46):
Media, media knows all we need to know that people
need to know.
Speaker 1 (01:00:51):
And Nintendo Mike is available, so if you would like
to call in, tap in or a the whole Nintendo
Mike is available to there you go.
Speaker 2 (01:00:59):
So whatever, we figure out something something to talk about
between I'm trying to be some news between that one
be news.
Speaker 1 (01:01:05):
There's always.
Speaker 2 (01:01:07):
There's some interesting things happening in the world of the box.
Speaker 1 (01:01:10):
And also summer well then Tenno Switch launches, you can
talk about that. And Summer Games Fest is this weekend,
so we'll probably talk about that next week, don't worry, Yes.
Speaker 2 (01:01:18):
Yes we will. And also Xbox Games Fest I think
is the next showcases next week as well, Wow for
next week's episode next next.
Speaker 1 (01:01:25):
Time is true. The other suggestion is Andrew Dragunsen just
put Cat cam on and narrate Cookie the Cat. Maybe
put Cody on the cam too, a fight, It would
be fun. Leah gets to pick which voice she wants
to narrate, you narrate the other voice, and honestly.
Speaker 2 (01:01:41):
The fighters eating from Cody the it's the cat like
to get out of my face.
Speaker 1 (01:01:45):
Just these ideas, Kevin you writes the right anyway, keep
it locked our Socials at Infinite Underscore Pods. We always
got a good time there. It's a good time boy.
But as always, my name is Hoodie and I'm Kevin,
and you have officially listened to this Monday total episode
of What Cave prisis on Infinite on Cave.
Speaker 2 (01:02:15):
Do same thing today
