Speaker 1 (00:08):
Welcome back to the nerdy news you need to know
throughout the week on Nightheart Radio went cast services around
the world. Because my name's Hoddy and I'm kind of Kevin,
and you're officially listening to this Thursday episode of.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
What keV Crisis on Infinite Pop. It's funny when you
talk with the headphones on, you can really get how
poopy your voice sounds, like, oh my.
Speaker 1 (00:35):
God, and you're wondering why Kevin says that about himself. No,
he's not just hating on himself. He's sick. So that's why. Yeah,
we dragged Kevin's ass out of bed and said sit
in front of the seat and let me talk to you.
I'm like, oh boy, oh boy, here we go. This
is gonna be interesting. We don't know what's gonna happen.
(00:57):
Lenon talked to you. Yeah he's got a funk pop now.
But that's a little fun fact. Good for la night. Yeah,
if we got a jamp back show for you today.
As you can see in the titleist podcast, we are
talking about Daredevil Born Again episode for Sick Semper systema Latin.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
I don't know systemic beans, but those two words.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Means systema is probably the easiest one of those those
three words system system got it. There you go, there,
you go. Uh, And we're gonna be doing Kevin's I
don't know if it's you would say initial because I
found out how long he's playing, So it's not really
a review so far. It's review how long in review
of Assassin's Creed Shadows. And we're talking Power Rangers and
(01:44):
Pokemon today, two things we each individually love more than
the other. I got right here, and I have my
Pokemon bag right here, always within arm reach, right here, Purple.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
Kick something, pops off, I got a morph Get us
out of here.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
In case you need the Pokemon game, don't worry. They
all in here, baby, and Star Wars Episode one Racer
for some reason.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
I mean, it's a great game.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Yeah, at the time, it was time.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
At the time, we didn't know any better.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
It was a great game. This is what what we had.
We had this this was the Fortza of its generation.
It was it was, it was. But you see everything
we're going to talk about today, so much more. Bye.

Well, we'll be there, you know, wherever you call. We'll
be there, baby, wherever you are. We are, we are,
we are, we are who we are. According to one
K dollars sign ha, you know that's kesha. Okay, k
k e dollars sign ha. She's doing good. She's got pingut.
I think she teased new music, so that's interesting. Good
(03:12):
for her.
Speaker 2 (03:12):
Good for the whole thing with the lawyers and stuff.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
For it never ends, you know what lawyers. It is
what it is. It is what it is. But we
always properly start the show with a little segment we
call what You're doing. Where we talking about the shows
and movies. We've been watching games, we've been playing lives
we've been living. Because it is Thursday, yup, bo it
(03:36):
gets to go first, and happy to say I collected
everything in my faction in W two K twenty five,
at least that world Tour mode I told you about.
So I caught all the persona cards that are in there.
So I got CM Punk and Cody Roads that it
was hard for no reason to obtain. And all he
(03:57):
is is in a suit. Nothing special to side. He's
in a suit.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
I think Cody is a special code though.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
Right, that is true? That is I mean, that is true.
But you've been having a fun time. I did actually
make the two of us, and I think you will
be thoroughly impressed with what I made your character look.
I didn't get a screenshot of it because I literally
finished it like ten minutes before we do the podcast.
So on Monday's episode, I have a screenshot and I'll
send it to you so you to see or I
guess a video a full circle replay of what your
(04:25):
character looks like. And I have imported the crisis logo.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
So well, you know, it's like the magic of a
video game calls. Nowadays, you just do a gameplay video
asked me to send it to me.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
That's true, too, very true. Maybe I just do that
as well modern times, you know, times really times, and
then more and I we we want we're gonna watch
Maana two. And then we both decided, hey, we haven't
seen the first one in a while since the pandemic
or whenever the hell that movie came out. Well, it's
wild is Mahana came out like twenty sixteen or seventies when.
Speaker 2 (04:56):
I came out the summer before Lea was born.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
Until yeah, yes, yeah, so like we obviously saw it.
Wow to think, because Moore's like, no, I saw it
without you. I was like, no, you didn't. Disney Plus
came out like twenty nineteen, twenty twenty, and she's like, no,
remember this is when Disney movies were on Netflix. I'm like, man,
what a time when Disney movies are on Netflix. I remember.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
I remember because Leam was like six months old when
she first watched it the first movie. We were like, oh
my gosh, she's in there watching it. He's being quiet.
Speaker 1 (05:26):
I know she loves it. Let's keep her watching it.
And then all of a sudden, I'm tired of this movie.
While are we still watching this movie. Roll it. The
turn happened all of a sudden, that movie out of nowhere.
But I gotta say, in twenty twenty five times, Mohana
still looks real good. Like I know, it's Disney Plus's version,
(05:47):
so it's like Dolby Vision or whatever, but it wasn't
an Imax and so it's still widescreen or whatever. And
I'm like, man, this movie is good and looks good.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
It's a great I mean, I remember when I first
watched from Moana. I was like, oh, here we go,
Disney crab. Wait a minute, this is actually this is
a pretty good movie. And it was like it was
like one of the first It was like a second
set of Disney princesses that like there are well a
man she had at first it was alson on a
love between sisters and it's her Like no, I'm trying
to say my tribing I don't care about going married
(06:17):
or a prince like not. My tribe don't worried about.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
So I think where we might watch more on a
two tonight, hopefully maybe not maybe not to get Moana out,
I guess, but it just makes me closer and closer
nine months away from I guess technically I can't say
that yet, but my trip to Disney in December, so.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
I will say, uh, what's it there?
Speaker 1 (06:38):
We went last time the water ride, No wasn't. It
was opened the week after we were there. It was
doing like the previews or whatever for a team. So
it's not a not a ride, but it is a
walkthrough thing.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
Yeah, but it is so like you ever want to
feel like a water bender go through this ride. It's
literally like one of the things is like you're staying
in front of the censor and there's water, like a
waterfall running in front of you, and you raise your
hands up and the water goes up. It's how you
raise your hands up. It's like, oh my gosh, well
I'm guitarra this is amazing.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
And uh yeah, so we're exciting, I think, slowly, but
surely I'm trying to get more to watch the Disney
movies of like the rides. We're gonna like Guardians. I
think we're fine because she's seen Guardians enough, but like
watch Rattue, you know, just to be like she's she's
seen rat too already, but like just get her hiked,
you know, to be on that ride again. Like two
years ago, and I liked it, but yeah, ratitude is cool,
(07:33):
but not as cool as some of the other rights
that are there. Now, you know, that was more about, Hey,
the US has it now.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
It's kind of that you said, you realized like all
those rats like living in Squalor.
Speaker 1 (07:43):
Yeah. Yeah, And then what was the other thing? Was
the other thing? I saw this cool walk through thing
I kind of want to do with my brother is
they kind of made us this TikToker made a solo
a sort of like solo story through Star Wars Galaxy's
Jeit Disney World. I said to my brothers, like, we
got to do this where they started at a cantina.
(08:05):
It was him. It was him in this in the
guy's brother and he's like, I have a mission for you.
He tossed the drink to the guy. They go then
cut the smugglers run where on a millium falcon they
get off the red like, what was the mission all about?
And the brother says it was all about this. It
was a can of Baja blast and he does the
new Hope post with the blast at the end of it,
like we got to do that.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
Oh yeah, I mean BAA blast is special. Yeah, I
think you do that. I will say, I know it's unpopular,
but in my ranking of my rankings of Mountain Dew flavors,
Codort is just a little bit ahead of BA.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
See here's thinking what about live How do you feel
about live Wire?
Speaker 2 (08:44):
Live Wire tastes like an unfrozen frozen pot, unfrozen frozen pop.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
I think I can see.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
That that's good. But I mean, yeah, I mean if
if I'm at the gas station Revige and I see
regular cold red by my blasts and the purple one,
I'm like cold read.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
I'm sorry, what's gotta be?
Speaker 2 (09:11):
Sorry?
Speaker 1 (09:12):
But that's what I've been doing. Kevin, what have you
been doing? Good, sir?
Speaker 2 (09:16):
I've been being sick.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
That's it. Nothing else.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
And it's one of those things that as you get older,
you feel your body gets sicker day by day. Oh,
come Sunday, like huh, I don't feel right, but I
feel fine whatever. Then Monday I was like, oh my
voice is starting to go. And then Tuesday was like,
oh my god, what is happening? And then yesterday actually
got sent home from work. They're like, oh you got
sent home? They said, no, sitting out of here. We
(09:42):
don't want you right now. I got to work. We
had a morning meeting, and at the morning meeting, my
patio means out the hey, are you okay. I was like,
I'm trying to push through, push it through the last
two days, put to one more day. He was like, Nah,
go home, just just get out, come back tomorrow next
day for free field better. And I thought, I felt bad.
It's not one of those things where I'm trying to
(10:03):
work through the sickness because of this is I gotta work.
It's more like I just got like a vacation. So
I feel like if I call out again and I
just don't want to be at work, you know what
I mean. So I was trying to push through for that.
But I mean when they send you home, you know
it's bad.
Speaker 1 (10:15):
And they're like, oh, it's real bad, real bad.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
So it turns out I think I have a sinus
affection because Alicia's sick, sick as well. I took it.
I went went to what to call it patient first,
no flu, no COVID, so the things just in sience infections.
So I'm just like, you know, taking recommendication. They gave
Alicia Haler for some reason, I don't know.
Speaker 1 (10:34):
Why they did that, but I don't know what she
gets out, but I don't get it. Okay, whatever they.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Say flow naze, fixed, nable, spray and and you know
cos I'm like, Okay, thank you.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
I don't know, maybe whatever, whatever, but.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
I'll fighting through that. I think I'm just on the
other side of it now because I'm starting to feel
even tho I don't sound like it, I'm starting to
feel better. I'm not just sleepy and the thargic as
I was the past couple of days. Came home yesterday
and just pretty much slept until like nine thirty nude,
woke up Insassins screen, and then watch Aired Devils. Good afternoon,
(11:11):
Great afternoon. That's what I want to be doing, is
playing and watch the Daredevil sick and Assassin screen. That's
just been my last three days.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
Basically, Well, I guess we'll ask you that. Well, you
got two weeks. We'll ask you next week. Never mind
about opening Day, We'll ask you next week.
Speaker 2 (11:25):
Oh yeah, I gotta do stuff, something to.
Speaker 1 (11:29):
Do, something fun to do. Yes, there you go, Well
that's what we've been doing. You can also dm us
at infidoem score pods if whether you're doing something specific
or fun they think needs to be shouted out. We'd
love to do it. I forgot to mention one Aaron Giles.
The guys make sart in this twitch chat, dot tv
slash afid score pods. Uh dm me personally asking Hoodie,
(11:50):
I know you're the Pokemon expert on the show. I
have a switch. I want to kind of get into
Pokemon before ZA and switch to and all that good
stuff comes out. What what game on the switch should
I start with? I get him two options. So this
is if you're also trying to tap into Pokemon before
hopefully switch to and wow to think Pokemon turns thirty
next year. We'll get to a story involving that next
(12:11):
next year, next year, in twenty twenty six. But there's
two options. It is either let's go Pikachu and Ev
if you want to feel nostalgia but in the modern
lens and you like Pokemon go like Kevin does a lot,
Let's go Pikachu and Ev as your jam. If you
don't like that and want traditional Pokemon, Pokemon Sword and
Shield is what you want to go with. No, it's
(12:31):
not the new one, but it is the one that
got things right. So Scarlet and Violet doing a little
too far and graphics and mechanics didn't work, So just
do Sword and Shield. I know there's also Pokemon Legends
Arsius and that's a whole different thing too, so I
don't worry about that either.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
As of now, are you still not able to play
the original Pokemon games?
Speaker 1 (12:51):
You still cannot, which bugs me on they don't, which
it's wild too, because this is all part of Nintendo
Switches Online program, which is the thing you pay the
membership for it you get to play all the like
backlog games they have on there. It's a lot of
Nintendo sixty four, some Wei games, ne S games, SNYS games,
so they have like Pokemon Puzzle Leagues, Pokemon Stadium one
(13:13):
and two on there. But it's like, why haven't got
the game Boy Color games. Mainly it's because they I
have a feeling they're gonna release an addition that might
have things on there, whether it is the first generation
or first couple of generations on it for you to
buy next year for the thirtieth anniversary.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
Since but I would love that if they've just released
a game Boy Classic.
Speaker 1 (13:37):
Well that is true, oh, like an actual system.
Speaker 2 (13:41):
Like like like the Classic and Classic.
Speaker 1 (13:44):
Yeah, but it has it has about the main thing
all you need for the classic version has back Like
that's it exactly Like the other words, a game Boy
Advance sp what you want.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
I'm not gonna lie. I maybe personally to get a
game game Boy Classic and just like sweet, I can
play well game Boy games and Pokemon on you.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
Uh now, I guess the way you could have played
it is if I don't think you can, you can't
do it anymore because they close the store. The shop
for it is on the two D, two DS and
three DS. Uh. You could have bought Pokemon Red, Red
and Blue through Crystal those games virtually, which is great
(14:22):
because like you could do all the ROMs and cheats
and all that stuff, not the wrong the cheats with it,
and like it'd be a lot easier. I think that
integrated into Pokemon Home, which is what a lot of
people then like, let me get these old Pokemon into
the new games.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
Yeah yeah, so I will say the Pokemon Home system
is a good like especialated you can be with about that.
You can't just play the old games at least that's
there so you don't.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
And the cool thing is I really appreciate this is
I've never played for Pokemon Home or never paid for
Pokemon Home in my life. But you're able to transfer
over Pokemon into it. You just can't pull them out.
So like my old Pokemon from like Pokemon Leaf Green
are in there. I just can't pull him out. They're
just trapped in prison. I don't have the money to
bail him out. Okay, Pokey Barker Tour. One day, when
(15:12):
the funds happen or they say, okay, we're gonna make
it free finally, then we'll figure it out. One day.
The hood will come for us. One day. There's a
Venus saur in there, and the zap does there My homies,
like I took them everywhere, so we know him, we
know he'll come back, and a lot of so this
is this hoodie fun facts. I know. Sorry, we're diverted
(15:32):
a lot of this history. Brother John and I like
we're obsessed with looking for the game Sharks and the
action replays back in the day, and so once we
finally got our hands on one, it was like right
before the DS generation happened. We put Pokemon Emerald in there,
like give you all the Pokemon and give me all
of them shining as well, so those are filtered into
(15:53):
that Pokemon Home as well. So there's like a shiny
umbreon that has a blue circle on its head instead
of yellow. It's really cool. So I'm excited to see
those again.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
Deeper into this, But how much is the Pokemon at Home? Uh,
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
Pokemon Home price. Pokemon Home premium is fifteen ninety nine.
One month, oh, one month for thirty days is two
ninety nine. So the main goal is get the game
that matters and then just for three bucks, just to
pull them all over, take them all over.
Speaker 2 (16:26):
I understand why young young Andrew hoody couldn't do that,
but now adult Andrews has grown up money, it cannot
do it.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
Here's here's here's the thing, here's the logic. If I
do it, I gotta pay it for that whole month,
and they all got to go to the one game
I'm currently playing and then I can transfer him back
for free. But if I want to take him over
the next one, I still got to poke my home
and then put them back out. Stupid.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
A lot of work. It is a lot of work.
Get you come and get you two.
Speaker 1 (16:53):
Ninety nine every time I want to do that. It
adds up. That's a lot of Pokemon. How blast, that
is almost two bottles of bottle. Maybe one depends what
you beside you buy. I'm sorry that was a deep
dive on Pokemon unfortunately. Sorry about that. But let's get
on into it. It is time for the news. It's
(17:14):
tough and first things first, it is rare on this podcast,
but sometimes we do get early access to some video
games that aren't about wrestling, and this time Kevin got
his hands on Assassins Creed Shadows. So Kevin, let's break
it down. So Kevin, you I will be the model.
(17:42):
I'm just gonna ask you questions and you just go
off as long as you want. Baby, You've had Assassin's
Creed Shadows for how long? Now?
Speaker 2 (17:51):
I've been back for Disney for two weeks?
Speaker 1 (17:53):
So two weeks? Obviously a Disney trip was in there
when he got the coke because I gave it to you.
How long if you played the game for an what system? Uh?
Speaker 2 (18:02):
On PS five and according to my Sony PlayStation app,
thing I've played for I don't notice thirty four hours?
Speaker 1 (18:10):
All right? So this is Kevin will say review. I
guess yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
I mean I just finished act one. I'm nowhere near
the end.
Speaker 1 (18:18):
Of Oh okay, never mind.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
But I played a lot of this game, a lot
of walking around.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
Maybe the story isn't done, but he's done a lot well.
Speaker 2 (18:27):
While I walk around the Japanese moder miss and sinking
sinking half points, you know it has a green over.
Speaker 1 (18:32):
So, Kevin, what's been your experience with the game? You're
we'll do your highs real when you start with your
highs are lows of the game.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
My highs is that my main's fear was that the
name is going to feel a lot like ghost of
Shootema and it doesn't. Actually very does games.
Speaker 1 (18:48):
How would you? How are they be different for someone
who's played them? Because you are the ghosts email expert
to on this show.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
Yeah, go to Sema from number one of the narrative
is a lot more about not wanting to be a
ninja Shanoby and in Assen say hey you're Shoby, You're
a ninja. That's like the first damn it, Nina Nina
things is how we do stuff. So that was the
first thing. And even the combat with Naown, who is
(19:17):
the Shanobi character ninja character, is so much different than
what it is on Ghosts with naow the the goal
is to be sneaky, is to be an assassin, is
to be sticking from the shadows. You want to like
any even like the game is so cool. If I'm
if I'm trying to infiltrate a castle and then lights on,
I could turn the lights off and hide in the shadows,
see me stuff like that, you know, And then if
(19:38):
you get into a confrontation where it's like three or
four on one, it's hard because she is not built
to fight like that. Now you can, but it is
hard because one or two hits from those people can
take maybe two colts of your health bar away.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
And now now Assassin's creen Shadows isn't one protagonist, right,
it's two protagonists. You can switch pas.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
Sort of, Yeah, two protactists, so pretty much you learn
how to play as Yaske first and then the switches
to today. So now talk about Yaske's battle fighting style
compared to ghost again, Ghosts is a very meticulous game
where you're kind of waiting for counters because each and
which only takes like two or three yeits because you're
(20:16):
trying to make it realistic. Yeah, and Jinsake and Ghosts.
You have to be very very you know, like tech tech.
We're tactful how you fight people.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
It's closer. It's closer to the dark dark souls more
than Okay, Yaska is a tank.
Speaker 2 (20:32):
You do't got to be tactful just hacking slash because
they can't stop them. Yeah, it's like I said, the
game play between Ghosts and This is nine damn so
happy about it. Yaske is like kicking fools twenty feet
away from him. He's hacking off heads. He's stabbing people
looking up with the sword, throwing them off. He even
has a perk where if you get a certain armor
set when you block and deflect the sword strike once
(20:56):
it blocks like the next ten wen't do anything like
just the game. Not only is the gameplay night and
day between ghost and that's that's the night day between
and which I'm really happy about so so far, I'm
actually enjoying just the differences between the gameplay. Now the
issue is, as a lifelong scree player, I'm used to
be in he stabby stabby.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
Like the own.
Speaker 2 (21:19):
Once he has he can climb the walls. But it's
laughable because it's like this is imagine if you watch wrestling,
I know, who do you watch? A little wrestling has
built like Oba Femi from the next.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
Time, ah, more like more athletic show.
Speaker 2 (21:37):
Yeah, so just imagine him trying to climb climb a
wall and jump off a sink point is laughable because
it's stupid. You can do it, but it looks stupid,
and they own just just a more agile one. And
there's so much to explore in in the Japanese like countryside.
So so far my thirty one, how it's been just
honestly a lot of exploring so far. So far.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
Uh so I did get the coach. I've only politically
played for like forty five minutes. Maybe I know in
the settings there is a mode that come a little
bit of controversy. I guess is a called It's called
a cannon MODEU have do you? Do you have cannon
mode enabled? Or are you making the decisions? I'll tell
you what it is about decisions, all right, So, so
(22:22):
cannon mode makes the decisions for you. So it kind
of takes away a little bit of the RP genius.
I'm mainly did something. I don't want to make decision.
I want to see what what you was soft intended
as the story of this game. Yeah, then that mode
a little bit too.
Speaker 2 (22:35):
Also went Valhalla. It was weird. Tooles is weird? You
just switched able gender in the middle of game and
what are you doing? Yeahd was a weird game. It
was great. It was it was a well reviewed game.
It told a lot of cop Who was the.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
Weird game and it is I'm just gonna check with
the forty five minutes. I mean, it is interesting that
we did talk about I think it was Assassin's Creed.
I forgot what the launch model or whatever was Nexus
or whatever it was gonna be called. Oh yeah, uh
the past like four years. That was going to be
a hub for all the Assassin's Creed games. The opening
(23:07):
of this game does feel like just getting the menu,
It's like, oh, this is what they kind of wanted
that to be, where you could launch into the other games.
Kind of call of duty is right now. But it
is my first time playing Assess Creed on PlayStation five.
I'm like, all those are on Xbox, so I cannot
watch from a PlayStation? Can I? Can I get all those? Please?
(23:31):
But uh? And I with the cannon mode, I know
there was a decision early on where yaske uh can
reveal if he knows Japanese or not. Uh in cannon
mode he reveals he does. Whereas I think in your
decision mode you can decide if you want to keep
a secret or not.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
Yeah, that that that first scene with of course as
a black man was.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
Like meat him up, make me upset. But yeah, the
game though, and then sorry, so we've we've done some highs.
What are your I guess initial lows with Assassin's screen.
Speaker 2 (24:06):
The same with any assassins screen. Sometimes as Parker is
a little rough, you're trying to trying to hit this
little thing and it goes to the left of the right,
or you're trying to sneak around and jump down on
one legs, but then you jump down right in front
of the person got get caught. So stuff like that
was more usually air than anything else, even though you're
trying to to to uh sneak around. I will again
(24:26):
with a combat, I will say NAO, I feel like
I understand they want her to be a ninja, but
I feel like it takes too much damage.
Speaker 1 (24:37):
Well, hey baby, you put it on story mode. Ain't
nobody taking damage? So that's what your boy does. Hay,
no more difficulty achievements anymore, you know, or your trophies.
Speaker 2 (24:46):
I will say some of the voice that was acting
hind to miss I like Naooni aske, I like the
one person that Nao meets to help her with her
revenge for a dad. Some of the other ones, though,
it's kind of like you could do Horizon vibes. It's like,
who are you again? I don't I don't know who
you are?
Speaker 1 (25:04):
Another question? I guess, well, this is more it might
be a problem for me. Did did everyone talking sound
really loud on your PlayStation compared to everything else? Or
is that just my PlayStation? It might be just be
my PlayStation.
Speaker 2 (25:17):
But I was playing on a low value because I
was I had a care on my shoulder.
Speaker 1 (25:20):
I was playing like when I'm playing the characters like
it is crackling my TV audio and I don't know,
like it's like very like did I do something wrong
with the settings here?
Speaker 2 (25:28):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (25:29):
But anyway, okay, cool, glad, I know I need to
check the settings out.
Speaker 2 (25:32):
But also could be like a day one patch you
waited for it.
Speaker 1 (25:35):
That's true, that's true, all right? Cool? Now, any other
lows you have initially with this. I know, thirty one
hours isn't really an initial, it's more of almost there
sort of thing.
Speaker 2 (25:45):
I will say, if you're looking to looking forward to jumping,
jumping back and forth between that way and ask. Once
you play at Yaske in an opening, you don't see
him again for like ten.
Speaker 1 (25:55):
Hours Okay, yeah, well yeah.
Speaker 2 (25:59):
By the time you get back to Yask maybe like
a round level eighteen or twenty, so it's a while
before you get back to the gas can. It's kind
of like at one point I was like, I clearly
could have got the game with the release. I started around, like,
am I doing the right thing? That play the right
I know when they said these codes sometimes they us
send us, Am I playing the right building this game?
Speaker 1 (26:19):
Am I just missing it?
Speaker 2 (26:20):
Because? And then but then once you get a mission
to assassinate a certain person, that's when as jumps up. Okay,
that's what.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
And then when he passed back in, are you like
I'm excited to play as him or you're like, well,
I gotta figure out this character now.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
And he gets like a little soundtrack, like a legit
literal like Japanese eight M soundtrack. Oh he's just he's
just rushing through.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
Coolt Nintendo. Mike Cee asked twitch slusually infidels Grids, Kevin,
is there any missing dialogue because of the ongoing strikes
with sag AFT, with video games or anything that's you
can kind of tell might be because of that? So?
I think so.
Speaker 2 (27:03):
And I think that's because this game was supposed to
come out last November.
Speaker 1 (27:06):
So the audio probably has been recorded.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
Recording, and if they missed anything at this point, they
probably just used some kind of probably some kind of
a guy. Don't tell anybody because it's gonna give me industry,
game industry and exactly a clean industry. But so far,
I haven't heard anything that sounds different or out of place.
(27:29):
So and I think it might be just because the
audio was probably recorded two three years ago.
Speaker 1 (27:34):
Uh and then, uh, what, I guess what is your
current without shadows in there? What is your current ranking
of Assassin's Creed games? Well, we'll go top five.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
Top all of them?
Speaker 1 (27:45):
Well, give me all nineteen go.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
I still think Assassin's Creed three Brotherhood is probably still
the goat.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
Okay, and a half two and a half Brotherhood.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
A whole different game. Three was it was okay.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
Three was America and let its down.
Speaker 2 (28:04):
Really it was like, come on, man, this is this
is a shot. We haven't been back since. I still
think Brotherhood is the goat. After Brotherhood, it probably would
be two then Origins, Odyssey than Origins and Black Flag
Black Flag?
Speaker 1 (28:20):
Okay cool. So you don't have Valhalla and you don't
have Mirage in there, surprisingly, which is good.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
Don't get me wrong. Mirage looked amazing. Mirage looks like
the next generation video game.
Speaker 1 (28:33):
It was boring.
Speaker 2 (28:37):
I think it's because too if you played through Basket
was a bad guy. I don't care about.
Speaker 1 (28:43):
Everyone wants to play as the battie Kevin. All right, guy,
So you do have you know, Brotherhood? What was the
other one? I forgot two great revelations, I mean my mouth.
Your top five? Yeah yeah so.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
Yeah, Brotherhood to otysee Origins and Black Flag Black Flag?
Speaker 1 (29:06):
Okay cool. So now that that is your top five,
where would this rank with those? Would it be in there?
Would it be below kind of maybe near Valhalla, Miarage
or I think if.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
This keeps trending the way it's trending, it might be
in up around like six or seven, right behind Revelations
and was the one in London Syndicate Syndicate, Yeah, might
be right right around there.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
Honestly, I've enjoying it a lot.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
And it also it could be because of the representation
because it's just a black smatter game and come on,
it's really cool, so I could be painted it that way.
I'm sorry if that's true or not, but I really
have a good time with it so far. Like again,
the only thing I can probably say bad about is
that I feel like maybe for the next Assassin's Creed
(29:53):
they need to go the God of War route where
it's open world. You can't go everywhere because the map
is still just massive. This is a massive mass.
Speaker 1 (30:01):
Did now with that? Because I know there is base
building in this game too? Did you even tap into that?
And they're like, okay, cool? And then I got other
stuff to do. Uh.
Speaker 2 (30:11):
I haven't tap into it a lot yet because I
was trying to get game play again, talk about it,
so you know, with with you know, the child wearing
thing I have to do all day, I couldn't tap
into the base building play through.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
You need to have Leah make your base and be
like all right, hey here, that's.
Speaker 2 (30:27):
Not a bad idea?
Speaker 1 (30:28):
Am I to do that?
Speaker 2 (30:29):
Because throughout the game when you when you like loop
people that you kill on loop bases, you get like,
you know, decorative flowers and posters are for your base.
So maybe just student heyd behind out here.
Speaker 1 (30:40):
Make it nice, make it pretty. Uh and then all right,
so we got that. We got that with one last
question before we go to your actual score of the game. Uh.
Because it is an open world our RPG. Now that's
what Assassin's Creed is. Did you feel the slog of like, oh,
I got go across the map like some Assassin's Creek
(31:02):
games are, to get to this checkpoint before I got
to come all the way back again.
Speaker 2 (31:05):
It's still there. Yeah, that's that's part of the issue
with the game, Like a lot of the map is
just so spread far out and there's a lot of
going up and going down. Ghost was Ghosts was a
guilty of that as well. I would say that too though,
a lot of just trying to find all the checkpoints
you can see all the mars to see where you
got to go. And this is another one is guilty
of that. That is not as massive as Valhalla, where
(31:27):
it was like honestly where It's like literally, you were
going from you know, England to Ireland. Yeah, yeah, uh
wherever the Middle East, Greece country were. It's not as bad,
but it's not as big as Valhalla. But it's bigger
than the Origins, and Origins were still pretty big. But
that as terrible because Organs is mostly deserts. It wasn't
(31:48):
that terrible, you know what I mean. So, like I'm
looking at the map right now, I'm thirty hours. I'm like,
I'm even nowhere. Good god, good god.
Speaker 1 (31:56):
That's what I do. My first thing I do is
just go to the singing points and then I'll play
the game. You know.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
That's what I've been doing.
Speaker 1 (32:02):
It.
Speaker 2 (32:02):
It's like, look at the map and it's like, Okay,
I gotta go all way up there. And then, of course,
because it's Japanese countryside, there's a lot of hills.
Speaker 1 (32:08):
Uh huh.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
So there's a lot of times where you're just running
blindly up a hill.
Speaker 1 (32:12):
I'll see what's on top of the hell we can
find out.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
That's what you're doing. So, like I said, I hope
for the next for the next one, I take a
key from God of War and like this another game
kind of doesn't like that. I can think one of
the time about right now where it's open world, but there's.
Speaker 1 (32:26):
A it's limited, yeah yeah, and there's a yeah path
you want to go? All right, So Kevin, end of
the day, right now, what score would you give Assassin's
Creed Shadows obviously will be following your journey as you
attacked too of this game, hopefully next week. What would
you give the score right now? Out of ten you
you picked the random thing you want to give it out.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
Of this would get seven and a half stabbys out
of ten.
Speaker 1 (32:51):
Okay, seven and a half Stabby's not not hidden blades stabbys.
Speaker 2 (32:58):
And that's mostly could change and go down to a
seven when I finished game, to go up to eight
when I finished the game I think right now is
like eight point one a Metacritic, So it's right around
that that B plus B minus B plus. It's not
as ground breaking and you know, change and game against
origins and honestly where when it first came out it
just changed everything. It's that expansive as Valhalla and just huge,
(33:21):
but it's still fundamentally a pretty fun game to play,
and it feels like Assassins screen don't feel like something new.
I doesn't feel like they're trying to go all the
way back to sas. Creed want to do things differently.
They kind to try to make everything kind of fit together. Basically,
I think the Ninja experience setting it in a pan
with a smart thing to do because it feels it feels.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
Right right, damn it. Now come back to America and
redo it, just redo it again, make it better.
Speaker 2 (33:44):
I still want a current day.
Speaker 1 (33:46):
I think a Latin America Assassin's Creed could be cool.
I think that's kind of due up next to or
in Australia. That could be cool too.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
You know what a Latin American one would it did
like a Mayan thing.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
That'd be actually because I know it's DC for the
American one. And then there's those Assassin's Creed scroll side
scrollers that I don't really count or whatever. But Australia
and I mean Origins was technically ejup sutz you're Africa,
So Australia and South America let's do it, baby, yeah
(34:18):
technically black flags Caribbean. But yeah, game, yeah, I like it.
Speaker 2 (34:24):
I like the Latin American one that's actually really good.
There's the Mayans there's the Aztecs.
Speaker 1 (34:30):
Or if it's Australian, there's going nar Nar. But Kevin,
We're not done talking about things you like, because if
you listen to this podcast or watch it any form,
you know Kevin big fan of two properties, Assassin's Creed
(34:51):
and what's the other one? Kevin correct because and Kevin
was like, you better put this in the news dump,
and I was like, it's already on there. We are
apparently getting a new Power Rangers live action series on Disney.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
Plus it's being show run by the people that did
Percy Jackson.
Speaker 1 (35:12):
So I'm like, oh, all right, I'm excited. That interesting.
Now we's doing story. I see what.
Speaker 2 (35:19):
Did the guys say in the djengou Fortu? You have
my churiosity, now you have my attention.
Speaker 1 (35:24):
Yeah, yeah, I haven't seen Jangle in Wild Get twice.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
Actually I watched it what's the theater and once when
it came out on the band I think.
Speaker 1 (35:31):
So too, and I haven't seen yeah go to Yeah,
Jamie Fox is greating it, but a lot of rough
stuff in it. But obviously we'll get Kevin's opinions. But
this is the news so far of it that Percy
Jackson Olympians. Show Runner Jonathan E. Steinberg and Dan Schotz
are in talks to write, show run, and produce the
(35:51):
series for Disney Plus. According to our friends at the RAP,
they're kind of the first ones to break it. Hasbro
intends for the series to reinvent the franchise for a
new generation of fans, while keeping existing fans on side.
So appeased as well. If you remember a couple of
months ago, they actually like sold all the Power Enger
(36:12):
costumes and props and Kevin didn't get anything out of
the auction.
Speaker 2 (36:15):
Unfortunately, they were expensive. I have money for like a
costume was like nine thousand dollars. Yeah, but I remember
that at that time. If you if you got where
I'm sometimes powered to TikTok.
Speaker 1 (36:26):
People were sad, very sad, And I think this definitely
gives some hope. But Kevin, being the Power Rangers fan,
what do you want out of it? You know it's
Percy Jackson, Like you just said, what do you want
in this? We'll just say reboot. We don't know if
it's gonna be a new season or reboot. What do
you want?
Speaker 2 (36:46):
I mean, one thing to have to be excited is
that the last time Power Rangers was, like I feel
like popular, popular was when Disney had the franchise of
ABC Family and that was when they had I believe
it was it was Nina, Ninja Storm, dinal Thunder, SPD
and Mystic Force.
Speaker 1 (37:03):
And SPD Emergency and Mystic Force were like the last
two I watched, and then that wasnal Thunder, yeah, the
other one, and that.
Speaker 2 (37:10):
At that time I was watching. I was in quotations
of watching them with my nephew to get him into
Power Rangers, and they were really good. And that's at
the time I was kind of an adult watch the
Power Rangers wouldn't but they were still pretty good because
they had kind of a story based on the just
the Monon's actually fight monsters but every week. So I'm
looking forward to honestly more story now. It was the
(37:33):
twenty what year was it. It was twenty twenty one,
twenty twenty two when when the nephis movie came out.
Speaker 1 (37:39):
Twenty twenty one, let me see and you know they
know twenty eight try wait, actually twenty seven, twenty seventeen,
not that it's not the Netflix special. Yeah, that was
like twenty twenty two or some twenty twenty three something
like that.
Speaker 2 (37:58):
Yeah, so they tried that wasn't good. I loved it
because it was just as terrible as it could be
because it's powered as I loved it, but that one
had actually had a story behind it. It was like a
literally a just story. Treney died on screen and her
daughter became a new power. Like, so I want something
that is literally story driven and not just monster of
(38:18):
the week, kill it, kill it with the blaster. Oh no,
it grew again, called the Ords Everything's okay, TXT week.
So I actually kind of want almost a reason to call.
Speaker 1 (38:27):
The ors so closer to the Percy Jackson's side than
the old power in her said okay, okay.
Speaker 2 (38:32):
Maybe even we don't even see him morph until like episode.
Speaker 1 (38:34):
Three, you're like, oh what, Oh, they's teasing it. They're
doing the Daredevil route. We're gonna get there eventually.
Speaker 2 (38:41):
So I'm actually wondering, though, since it's it is Disney
now and it's run by this, are they going to
start from scratch or are we getting like.
Speaker 1 (38:48):
A new well And that's what Kevin, what do you want?
Do you want them to do just how it normally?
Is a new team a new era, or do you
want them to go back to Mighty Morphine and just
do that again.
Speaker 2 (39:01):
I mean, I feel like there's so much nostalgia with
the with the not even just minding more for like
every iteration of Power Rangers, all those guys are making
con money now, like time.
Speaker 1 (39:11):
For yeah, any of the anybody.
Speaker 2 (39:14):
Yeah, So I think there needs to be maybe like
a Malgolm of the Tube. Maybe for some reason, I'm
just on the top of my head here, Billy becomes
like the newsord On and realizes that all the other
Rangers are just they can't do it anymore because they're
just a little too old or have a family and
have focused on So Billy digs up the old Dinald
coins and say, we're gonna start from scratch, just like
I learned, and you guys are going to know how
(39:35):
to do this. He kind of becomes active leader. And
then Billy, maybe Billy, I hate to say it, maybe
like dies off screen and it becomes put his intelligence
to a tube.
Speaker 1 (39:44):
Billy's a news ord on.
Speaker 2 (39:48):
It could be something like that that the kind of
compses everything but still being new. I feel like Dinosaurs
is just easy to make, Like I'm all eight of
them are dinosaurs. So I'm like, Donalds wants is something
they can do easy, but at the same time, I
hope it's something that still parents and kids can watch together.
Speaker 1 (40:08):
Yeah. I think Percy Jackson did really well with that.
So it's great that the team behind that the show
is doing this. Sorry sweet so kind of a little
bit of reboot, a little bit of a retool getting
things ready now, would you want them in the same
costumes as Mighty Morphine and like these are the exact
same things, not just obviously the little modernized or do
(40:29):
you want new suits?
Speaker 2 (40:31):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (40:32):
Kenny sold them all well, you know, yeah, but you
know they that'd be modernized obviously, because like I'm looking
at the image right now on en it's it's the
movie suits still look good, but you're like, all right,
there's a big old helmet on the tiny ass neck.
You know they're so angular. Yeah, there's so many angles
on the pink creature. Yeahcles and a cute.
Speaker 2 (40:53):
But I think again, it needs to be something that
is familiar and new. So if they do a dinosaur thing,
if they do like another like I don't know, turbo
thing or a space thing, it needs to be an
Easter egg for the old suit, but still something that
it's very brand new.
Speaker 1 (41:13):
Yeah, I think, yeah, And I think just to kind
of put a button on it because obviously it's just, oh,
it's happening, easy thing disneyl Disney can do while we're
waiting for the show to happened at all seasons to
Disney Plus. Yes, Power Rangers channel boom, because I know
some of us on Nickelodeon, some of us, I mean,
obviously Power Rangers is at a tired history of Nickelodeon, Disney, Nickelodeon, Disney,
(41:36):
some other channels randomly too, Netflix, Netflix, Yes, get all
of it on Disney Plus. Make it. I know they
just added the Simpsons Marathon channel. Do that for Power Rangers.
And then you want to play real nice remaster the
original Mighty Morphine season and get people ready to watch
the new Yeah you know.
Speaker 2 (41:54):
Yeah, Like I said this, this fan base has a
very devoted core, and he could.
Speaker 1 (41:58):
Put Power Rangers in the park heaven, you could put
them as a meat Greek. Don't don't tempt.
Speaker 2 (42:03):
Me a Power Rangers right where you're like, it's a
little bit like the Morphing experience, Like come on.
Speaker 1 (42:09):
Man, come on man, you thought the Power Ranger's helmet
look cool. Now wait till Disney gets on it like
Marble Legends and may be sold them helmets again.
Speaker 2 (42:18):
Man, you know what, they probably sold out.
Speaker 1 (42:21):
It would be a bunch of evn's gonna buy everyone
and every color home. Obviously we're ways away from that,
but exciting time nevertheless, because it's it's cool to have
power ranges and have them be like a zeitgeist of
pop culture like they were in the nineties and early
two thousands, because they haven't really and it is weird
to think, you know, like Pokemon has really taken over
(42:43):
again in this era of Pokemon cards and all that
good stuff and dragon Ball and all that stuff. So
let's get power ranges in the mix too.
Speaker 2 (42:50):
You know, they're starting to get like the Dinner Turtles,
where everything recently has had a own version of Turtles.
No matter how old you are, there was Turtle when
you were little, version of it.
Speaker 1 (42:59):
Yeah. And then speaking of sort of things nineties things,
that is really cool is Pokemon finally getting the lego
treatment in twenty twenty six, y'all, which is awesome as hell. Uh.
Brother John and Eric S. Wallats are about to be
real empty next year, because Pokemon did announce they're clapping
with Lego for their thirtieth anniversary. Like I mentioned earlier
(43:20):
in twenty twenty six, Keevin announced what any sets? You
assume a Pikachu because that's what they used the t's
But what Lego sets, Kevin, do you think they need
to make right off the bat, let's just say three
of them.
Speaker 2 (43:31):
They definitely need at least an oak Oaks lab thing
with all three of them in pokey balls.
Speaker 1 (43:36):
Okay, okay, they need the cave where you need mewtwo.
Speaker 2 (43:43):
Think this is all because I'm a fan, and they
definitely some kind of like a silk sculpt factory.
Speaker 1 (43:49):
It's gonna be like now, see, this is showing Kevin's
age as well, because Kevin only thinks of the Lego locations,
which is a bygone thing of the past. Kevin, they
still do those, but it is it's all about the
statue figures nowadays.
Speaker 2 (44:04):
I'm just wondering though, like if they want to get
really interricate, it'd be really cool if they let's start
start off small, if they made all original one fifty
one to scale.
Speaker 1 (44:14):
I think they will eventually. I think it is it'll
be interesting to see like what gets a mini figure
and what's gets a full size little like big ass figure,
because would assume like, oh, Pikachu is gonna get its
own little like six inch little figure. Chars are probably
gonna be another one gets a six inch little statue thing.
But evy and all of them, like are you gonna
(44:36):
make them all have a thing like you just said,
so you can buy all one fifty one and be
broke as hell, or it's like, oh, here's a poke
ball and then everything else is a tiny adventure set
like you just said.
Speaker 2 (44:46):
Okaye, like not potypocket, mighty back.
Speaker 1 (44:50):
Okay, yeah, so big big old thing and then you
put the little legos in there. Here you go. Because
I think comparing it to like Star Wars in Marvel,
Star Wars has leaned a lot more into the build
the ships, you know, marvels lean more into build the
scene from the movie so they can kind of go
all over the place. But I think instantly, like Pikachu
(45:11):
chars are poke Bob boom, people will buy that all
those instantly.
Speaker 2 (45:15):
I don't even love, like like it will cost probably
like a five undred and three thousand dollars, but like
a something I can fit on a down room table.
It's like like a Pokemon stadium, and the inside that
you can put a Pokemon battle scene. That'll be kind
of cool. Maybe maybe even just like I get up
one of the locations again, but like just scenes like
you know, a part of Palatown, a part of the
(45:38):
Rovian City. And again I'm old because I'm naming Gen
one cities, but I would love to see stuff like that,
and even going back to uh, like you know, the
scale thing. I want to if you release say char Million,
Charmander and chars Are, I want to make sure that
when I build Charmander, he's the smallest one out of
(45:58):
all three, all three.
Speaker 1 (45:59):
Of yees, so they have to Lego does pretty good
with the like sizings of things as well too, obviously,
like a Demi Gorgan like for Stranger Things, the Demi
Gorgon was bigger than the human minifigures you got, you know, but.
Speaker 2 (46:12):
The chat definitely this is right. All the different Pokey balls.
Speaker 1 (46:16):
Yeah, I think that's an easy thing. I think they
already started selling those now, kind of like the Marvel
Legends in the Black series stuff of like, oh, here's
a lightsaber here's a thing they've been selling. Here's that
poke ball, here's the quick ball, here's the Ultra ball,
here's the Master ball, and like, cool, it's fifty bucks.
Don't really doing anything. Half back there, and Kevin to
(46:36):
refer to your a Pokemon stadium Lego set. Technically, they
did back in the nineties release a mini Pokemon stadium
where you could plug the Pokemon toy into and then
make the noise. It was called the Think Chip Battle Stadium.
Your boy and his brother had that back of the day,
and it was expensive as hell because you're like, there
(46:57):
are at least ten of these Pokemon. We gotta get
them all to put them in there. That I mean, yeah,
that'll be a lot of work. Yeah, don't be at
I don't think about it. But I think, irregardless, really cool.
And I will say ahead of time, scalpers are gonna
be all over this, so just prepare accordingly. Because you
got Lego in there, you have Pokemon in there.
Speaker 2 (47:17):
So those target rope droppers are are called him evil,
but come on.
Speaker 1 (47:24):
Man, I saw an old lady being a scalper. I'm like,
who you're buying those four? Don't you worry about a kiddos,
don't you worry about it. But Kevin, something we need
to worry about is this week's episode of Daredevil born again.
So let's break it down. I had to find the button.
(47:48):
Was the problem? There could nuts? That's okay. I know.
Obviously we're around a little late, and that's okay. Well,
so we'll be quick with this Daredevil review. But episode
four was called six Sempers the stema thus always the
system in Latin Kevin systema. There you go, you got
that one. We learned that earlier. We learned that earlier.
It's full circle on this podcast. We talked about Pokemon
Daredevil earlier and we came back around. But this was
(48:12):
the episode we've all been waiting for because what happened Kevin.
Speaker 2 (48:17):
On bits of John Burnethall aka the Punisher aka Frank
Castle finally made his first appearance on the new version
of Daredevil.
Speaker 1 (48:24):
And officially the MCU. More importantly, yeah.
Speaker 2 (48:30):
Officially the MT two now Punisher is an r MCU.
Speaker 1 (48:33):
That is right, and it's John Burnenthal DC slash Baltimore Zone,
John Burnhal DC by birth, Baltimore by ownership, essentially Kevin's
man crushed exactly. But yeah, I mean, this was the
episode really kind of a fallout episode of Hectorius obviously
being killed and Matt having us detective vision is detective
(48:55):
scent and his heartbeat to his skills to figure out
what's going on. Obviously, he finds that Hector's murder scene
a Punisher logoed bullet, and he goes straight to the source.
Is this your bullet? And then we get the great
just acting scene between Charlie Cox and John Burnenthal and
You're like, hell, yeah, give me more, more, more Punisher, please, please,
(49:17):
for the love of God, give me more Punisher.
Speaker 2 (49:20):
I mean, if if you had told me that through
four episodes of Daredevil, I'm gonna see dared Devil would
costume once and maybe two fights, and I was like,
this is great. I've called you a liar. Like this
has been basically the MCU version of Law and Order,
and I can't get enough of it, Like I'm so
(49:42):
happy the next week we getting two episodes because I'm like,
I can't ignore the week with just one, like this
is so good.
Speaker 1 (49:49):
I think the cool thing was like Berenthal, isn't it
in the soup? He's just literally in a normal guy
and it's literally like, how here he's not really hiding
out he's Punisher. Everyone knows he's I'm sure, uh in
the MCU and uh, it's just cool to see that,
even him calling Matt red. You're like, hell yeah, this
(50:09):
is what I like. This is what I like from
that one season, Darre Douvil. I didn't watch both seasons Punisher,
so I don't get it from the from that.
Speaker 2 (50:15):
And I don't know what was better the well, the
double one Onflix probably was better. But if that was
a I don't know, nine point three, this is like
a nine point one. It's really close, really really right
there at it, it's the same. Those guys just screw together,
like like they must fight before the cameras.
Speaker 1 (50:36):
Yeah, I have to. But really the focal hitting point is,
you know, Matt went to punish her to figure out
kind of get permission to put back the costume on,
to to kind of do what Punisher does, and Punishers
like you don't like you permission, You're just asking if
it's okay, And they talked about Foggy. It's really good,
(50:56):
like hell yeah, just a moment he.
Speaker 2 (50:59):
Says to like you probably that movie probably here his voice,
don't you get my little boys voice.
Speaker 1 (51:03):
No what he says, get him?
Speaker 2 (51:05):
Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (51:07):
So good. Also Frank does mention, uh, we officially canonized
Bullseye's Bullseye in the MCU. He's just he's just been
deck whatever is his name is, MC, I don't know,
but he's Bullseye officially. And the scenes late maybe like
six minutes. But it's good and that's all we get
(51:27):
and I hope he comes back. But the rest of
the episode also just as good because really we see
Matt using his lawyer and skills to help get a prisoner,
I guess a prisoner a thief out of a big conviction. Uh,
the thief was named Leroy if he was unfortunately a
(51:48):
homeless man who was who stole a box of caramel
popcorn or a couple of boxes out of bodega guess.
But great lines here of Leroy is saying, you know,
the city's willing to spend five five times as much
to lock me up then they actually feeding me. I'm like, whoa, Okay,
I see what we're going here. We're really critiquing this
(52:10):
is it's all good scenes and really Lee Roy wanting
probation and not being thrown into jail and Matt really
figuring out the best I can get you seven days
I used, I worked, did my work around, and it's
really Matt coming in terms of the system is flawed
and that's why there what dared Devil is for to
go around the system.
Speaker 2 (52:29):
That's probably about the scene though, don't get me wrong,
a very impactful scene, very powerful scene, especially when he
explained what he goes through, like he's on a good
one time and then one time he did it jail.
But when he goes maybe it was a scrawl, it
wasn't it was.
Speaker 1 (52:42):
It was. And eventually, as far as this episode, we
know that he gets the seven days in jail. We
as far as we know right now. We'll probably see
more later. But on the Fisk side, we find out
that he and Vanessa are still going to therapy. We
find out that Adam was an artist that Vanessa actually
(53:05):
had an affair with. I know I predicted it was
a kid. No, it was an affair. It was obvious,
obvious route there. Unfortunately, while this is all going on,
Fisk does leave and Vanessa is asked by Heather the therapist,
you know, is he hurting her? And Vanessa says, oh,
Fisk will never would, but later on the episode, Fisk
knows that's what the therapist asked, and Vanessa said, should I.
Speaker 2 (53:27):
Be worried that You're gonna hurt me?
Speaker 1 (53:28):
Like, oh, all right, I see what we're doing here
in this relationship.
Speaker 2 (53:31):
You know, I hate to say it like this. I
haven't seen wilcome fists yet on screen hurt those who
we actually likes yet yet he loves yes, because he
likes some people, but he still hurts them. But he
loves Danessa, So maybe the way he's he is I
(53:51):
guess keeping himself from hurting her. It's like, I'm not
gonna talk to you basically.
Speaker 1 (53:56):
But while this is going, during this episode, we find
out I just Daniel. I call him Gandal Jr. It
does accidentally leak about Fisks one of his marrial plans
to BB. It gets reported. We think Daniel is going
to be fire. We think old Fisk would would punch
him to death, but Fisk kind of appreciates that. Gand Jr.
(54:17):
Apologizes with confidence and loyalty, so he keeps him on
all the while. All of the like true Mayor aid
is like, what the hell did I get myself into?
Speaker 2 (54:26):
Oh God, but also I think I think that's a
member of the news media in my town.
Speaker 1 (54:32):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (54:33):
The bbe lady that was that was the bush league movee.
Speaker 1 (54:35):
You went out off the record.
Speaker 2 (54:37):
Off the record, you don't do that. I hear a
lot of things off the record. I don't report him.
I don't put him in. Maybe come on, I'm like,
my job, people come talk to us. That's that's how
I'm sorry to get out of.
Speaker 1 (54:49):
Tell me what you really think, Kevin, you know, tell
me what you really But eventually, Uh, all this is
going on while Fisk is doing a city tour and
he goes to school. It's all these kids singing we
built this city off tune. And apparently the fun fact
was they the kids were too good at first, so
(55:11):
they did get some of the crew's kids to go
in with the actors to make it sound worse. Uh.
And then later on in the day he does go
to a Latvian community day not lat Area. It's different.
I always get confused too, because.
Speaker 2 (55:25):
Of doom, episode of health left you North, the whole thing.
Speaker 1 (55:31):
Uh. And they're singing the same song in Latvian, and
it's like, that's very funny. That's just like and there's
the clappy meme that's gonna be a meme forever. From
the full time of Fist, I lovely said, next summer,
Oh no, you gotta go on, not this one. You
did great, next time, next time.
Speaker 2 (55:48):
Love the kids.
Speaker 1 (55:49):
I love the kids. But then we do cut back
with them later on the episode, Fisk convince, like I said,
recapping therapy, we do get Fisk saying my father, like,
all right, let's go. He said the line, he did it.
(56:11):
They kind of come to heads. Things are looking better
for the relationship, or so we think, because Matt yes, Kevin, I.
Speaker 2 (56:20):
Wanna say, is real? Before we get to the next part.
Up until this point, I was like, you know what,
maybe King Pitt really is trying.
Speaker 1 (56:26):
He's really trying this point.
Speaker 2 (56:28):
I'm like, you know what, I'm on his side. And
then we'll get to what happened next week.
Speaker 1 (56:32):
So then we get to the end of episode. Heather
is spending the night at Matt's place. It's cute. I
like that, just having a normal person with him. Yeah,
but we find out Matt can't sleep. He wakes up
all of a sudden. Fisk is walking downstairs at first
like is he in his head or something like oh yeah, yeah,
it's just two parallel scenes happening at the same time.
(56:53):
We'll go with Matt's scene first, because he does go
up to the balcony. He opens up his secret I
guess you can say, and it is that scene from
the trailer of All the Daredevil different color helmets, and
he's playing with Billy Club. That's Billy Club or something.
That's what that weapon actually is. Creat I can't remember
(57:13):
what's call right now. It's like a show go can
does play basically like like like a very billy club.
Billy Club is what is in the comics, So we
go We'll go yeah, essentially probably the same thing, and
which is really cool. He's like all right, he's ready
to tea back up. All while this is going on,
Muse is officially properly set up of like it's the
(57:34):
guy in the costume draining blood from a guy to
use in his paintings, which is cool. Yeah, And then
we cut the Fisk perspective and he is walking downstairs
to a secret layer, most likely in his house or something.
He walks past the wrap it in a snowstorm painting
with his blood from season the last season a daredevil,
which is great. He's eating dinner like some late night bites,
(57:55):
I guess, and someone is next to him and it
is Adam, locked up looking tortured and his fists basking
and torturing at him by keeping them close but so
far away.
Speaker 2 (58:08):
I thought it was going to be actually all the
the uh that leaves with all the gangs.
Speaker 1 (58:12):
And I thought it was gonna be Gandel Foening Jr.
I thought at first, but it was yeah, that really
really dark. But yeah, and that's how the episode ends.
Seeing you know our characters, you know, they've tried there
once again themselves again, they've been born again as themselves. Essentially.
Speaker 2 (58:31):
The best part was as Adam is screaming, let me out,
let me out of this cage, it goes back to
Matt swinging around his weapon and that's not like this.
The devil is not the bed saying let me out.
I can help you, Matt, let me out.
Speaker 1 (58:44):
I was like, Fisk is eating a big sausage too
while this is going on. I don't know if that's
happened to ad him, but you know, just a little
inn window there, so if he's eating Adam, no he's not.
By this endo of like I got you, I got
yours right now, and then other just cool shout out
there was at the beginning episode. I forgot to mention it.
(59:05):
We do get potentially another setup for a Young Avenger
because Hector's niece Angela does come to collect his stuff
from the morgue. She does get the white tiger amulet.
So I like the actress. I thought she did a
good job in that one scene could tear up in
Young Avengers if they wanted to.
Speaker 2 (59:24):
Just saying, also, we're pretty much sure that Muses most
likely that person that would that visited Matt's girlfriend in
front of or for some reason maybe Ganal FEEDI baby,
but we don't probably the other person. Now what if
(59:44):
what I have no evidence a back this up. I'm
gonna for a swerve. Okay, what if it's either Matt's
girlfriend or Vanessa.
Speaker 1 (59:53):
Vanessa could see because of just the art stuff. Yeah,
but I think it probably is gonna be that random character.
Speaker 2 (01:00:01):
I do see it.
Speaker 1 (01:00:02):
You're probably right, But I just think the Vanessa character
is so pivotal right now, Like she's a normal person,
but she's controlling the entire operation that doing a costume thing,
because like its kind of more of masking the phantasmy
to me of Batman and like all all of a sudden,
the romantic interest is the villain the whole time.
Speaker 2 (01:00:24):
I'm just, I'm just I'm looking for to swerve that.
It's kind of like that not the person we always
we all think it's going to be, but it probably
is totally fine. Yeah, So I do think that the
season will end in some kind of limited partnership between
Darnel and Kingpin's hoy to defeat Mews.
Speaker 1 (01:00:39):
Either that or Punisher shows up. I think what's gonna
happen is the Kingpin Matt thing might come to a head.
And they're filming season two right now, and I've seen
some screenshots. I think that will boil into season two
because I remember this was supposed to be intended as
a one season eighteen episode thing, so I think Kingpin
will continue. I think it will just be another like
(01:01:00):
blow to Kingpin into season two. My hope is the
corrupt cop the Punisher cops is what we're kind of
calling them, that gets resolved in this season because Officer
Palell is kind of like just he's floating around. I
think you get them all together and it's John Burnethal going, oh,
you guys are fans, aren't you? And then boom boom booman.
(01:01:21):
That's how The Punisher came out. You know, you thinking me, baby,
I mean me, I loved it.
Speaker 2 (01:01:28):
I liked it. No, I loved it. Now we are
kind of halfway through the season. In that episode's episode
four where on a scale of one to ten, Dertabay helmets,
where are you with the show right now?
Speaker 1 (01:01:43):
Eight and a half. I've been really impressed obviously, Like
there's the main there's a complaint about him not being
in the suit, but I see why they're doing that. Yeah,
you know, I'll give it a nine because I think,
really this is impressed it to keep cut my interest
because I think the Netflix shows always always like us
the interest, Like halfway during the season. Yeah, I don't
(01:02:03):
know if that's just because all the episodes came out
at once and this weekly that's the whole thing too.
But so far the foundation this show is set is
really good. Now we'll just see, you know, the back
half where we get him suited up, which we assume
is where all the grotesque action is going to happen.
Is will that match and keep go off of what
we've set up as a lawyer. You know, I'll give it.
Speaker 2 (01:02:25):
I'll give it an eight point five to nine as well,
just for the simple fact that I did not think
because the first iteration of this of this show on Netflix,
there was a Buddy Finery episode and it is only
one episode that just starts with.
Speaker 1 (01:02:38):
Him the hallways iconically.
Speaker 2 (01:02:40):
Yeah, and this we haven't seen that really but once
in the first episode, and I'm still so locked into it. Yeah,
So I'll give it the same thing. And then one
last question for you, is there are there is a
rumor of floating around right now that next season we'll
have some iteration of the Defenders and that's going to rebuild.
I think I'm not gonna ask if you want the
(01:03:00):
same defender. I'm asked what what a Defender's roster look
like in a in a Marvel in that Universe version
of There Devil.
Speaker 1 (01:03:08):
I think it still is Mike Coulter as Luke Cage
and Jessica Jones, same actress as well Iron Fist. We've
kind of talked about is they might change, I think
just to get rid of that character. But I think
I don't think they're gonna team up. I think they're
gonna get the punisher treatment of They're gonna come in
for an episode and here's a team up. You know,
(01:03:29):
Jessica Jones is gonna help him detect something. Maybe she'll
use her powers to a degree. Uh, you know, Luke
Cage is gonna bend something for her, or he's gonna
go to Luke Cage's bar or something. I think they're
gonna kind of retcon Luke Luke Cage, kind of turning
in the villain of them at the end of Luke
Cage when he got canceled. But I think you can
do really well with this and just like introduce more
(01:03:52):
street heroes that because I think the thing with Marvel
is everything's on a cosmic level and then you're Spider
Man and he's not really been the friendly neighborhood and
foreigner man we've kind of seen obviously in the animated
show a month ago. Having these street level heroes is
great for a fisk or you know, like those gangster
villains that they can now incorporate more into and not
(01:04:14):
just having a Thanos or a big villain that changes
the world entirely every time.
Speaker 2 (01:04:20):
Yeah, I think that that'd be a smart play to do.
It had to introduced the kind of as like your
Helper of the Week basically kind of made the Lauria
kind of did in the first second season.
Speaker 1 (01:04:29):
It was like help Her of the Week. It was like,
you know, here's what we're playing the great hits right now.
The characters you like, Yeah, but would I.
Speaker 2 (01:04:35):
Would love to see if if you're going supreme ground
level even though he had some rings some to uh
pay grade, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:04:41):
But some cheese West Coast. That's the thing. I know.
Speaker 2 (01:04:44):
Maybe maybe he had to I don't know, he wanted
to get some pizza and him and you know what's
what what's what's a comedian's name? That's what? Yeah, just
ask one for for a portal real quick. And then
they went over to New York get some pizza of
oh shoot, we gotta fight now.
Speaker 1 (01:04:58):
Oh shoot. I I do think if anything, a Kate
Bishop could show up. I know this with the King obviously,
Echo season two is most likely for those two characters
as well. But t up Young Avengers once again, keep
you know, keep reiterating the same beats. That way. People
are ready when Young Avengers the special or the movie
(01:05:19):
comes out, because we're getting the Punisher thing probably next year,
and we're ready for that now, you know.
Speaker 2 (01:05:25):
I think I think actually might do something that Echo
and and Kate basically might be a great way to
just kind of show up and help them out in
the season two actually.
Speaker 1 (01:05:34):
And I do think that that'd be a cool interaction.
I think they didn't have a lot of interaction in
Hawkeye or Hawkeye season two happens. I know that's remembered
right now. We'll find out partly like a comic con
or something. But I do think those two characters will
be really fun to go off of. And I think
really Hailey Steinfeld would really kill that more is currently
watching Dickinson and which is the Hailey Steinfeld Show on
(01:05:55):
Apple TV Plus, and she's great in that, So I
think give her the show. People are already behind her,
already Buffalo Bill's fans will watch her. So let's go.
I'm old.
Speaker 2 (01:06:05):
I can't remember who's marrying Josh Allen is it's Trita Carpent.
Speaker 1 (01:06:09):
So Brita Carpent isn't with anybody right now, Kevin. So
there's a chance for single people, not for us. We're married,
not for us. When we're locked down, we're locked down.
Baby and we love it and.
Speaker 2 (01:06:18):
Someone's almost like a year lockdown.
Speaker 1 (01:06:21):
Now I'm working on my guests right now, but let
us know what you thought about Dared devil Borne again, Sorry, Kevin,
I know we kind of wrapped it up. I think
we kind of agree with Uh. Let us know if
and underscore pods on the Instagram or x go and
give it to you. Uh. It's exciting times just to
talk about the show. We will be back on Monday
(01:06:41):
talking about Severn that season finale, which I'm gonna tell
you right now, watch that ish on Friday because something's
gonna happen and you're gonna get spoiled if you wait
till Saturday night.
Speaker 2 (01:06:51):
You know, tomorrow's my audio editing base. So I'm gonna
watching while I'm adding a lot of things. I'm like,
I'm gonna take that leader. Oh my gosh.
Speaker 1 (01:07:01):
Ig it, damn it. So Monday will be primarily Severance
in review, figure out season three, is that gonna happen
and all that good stuff as well too.
Speaker 2 (01:07:13):
There's a report today I'm not talking right about, but
just move my mind. Apple TV News is Apple one
billion dollars a year. I'm like, how all the shows
on Apple TV are so good.
Speaker 1 (01:07:23):
It's because not everyone uses the free trials. Shows and
actors be expensive, Kevin.
Speaker 2 (01:07:29):
So I'll get away free trials. That's problem.
Speaker 1 (01:07:32):
And also if you are in a free trial, make
sure you cancel it this month because it will renew.
I have to get you news next week, so.
Speaker 2 (01:07:39):
I had to cancel my clear trial today. I didn't
hit four orge.
Speaker 1 (01:07:43):
You don't want that. You do not want that. But
like I said at InFine Unscore pods or Twitch dot
tv or YouTube dot com, slash Infinite Underscore pods as well.
But have a great weekend, go do something fun, treat.
Speaker 2 (01:07:55):
Yourself, you know, jorself twenty twenty.
Speaker 1 (01:07:59):
Exactly what Kevin just said. But as always, my name
is Hoodie Kim and you officially listened to this Go
Go Power Rangers episode of What keV Crisis on Infinite
pod Co.
Speaker 2 (01:08:17):
It's closing time.
