Speaker 1 (00:09):
Welcome back to the nerdy news and eats to know
throughout the week on iHeart Radio.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
I'm bad cast services around the world because my dam's
hoodie Teddy's over there and you're officially listening to this,
So looa doll episode of w Teddy Crisis on Infinite Podcast.

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Baby, Oh, thank you. I appreciate it. You Okay, you
relax now? Yeah, okay, good, good, good good. Kevin is out.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
Unfortunately he had to stay late at work today, which
is totally okay because I gotta get that money, especially
what's going on today. So I'm just happy that he
can just get the money he needs and have make
his family have all the Halloween costumes they need to, because,
let's face it, when you're a family of four plus
relatives in the group costume, yeah, it gets expensive, real quick,

(00:57):
real quick. But nevertheless, we're still gonna have an episode
for you today. We're gonna be talking about one of
the most popular nerdy Halloween costumes of twenty twenty five.
Casey needs something last minute. Maybe you want to go
to a Spirit Halloween near you or order off on Amazon.
Maybe it'll get here two days before Halloween. Probably not,
but who knows, you never know, risk the odds. We're
gonna talk about Halo Campaign Evolved, that new Halo's standalone campaign,

(01:22):
sure you.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
And at the back end of this.

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Episode, we're gonna talk about the first two episodes of Dispatch,
the new game that came out last week by ad
Hoc Studios. It's kind of the developers all those of
Tailtale games, so think Walking Dead, Gardens, the Galaxy Wolf
among us. They made their own studio released their own
game last week. The first two episodes are out now
and it's sort of like a weekly release. And while
we're talking about like a TV review as well. You'll

(01:46):
find out. But you can see everyth're gon to talk
about today and so much more at Infinite Underscore by Zone, Instagram,
odi X go and give it to you or you
can participate in this here in these here parks I
reckon Twitch tv or YouTube dot com, Slash Infinite Underscore
pods as well. Cool thing is if you got Amazon Prime,

(02:07):
you got Twitch Prime as well. If you just finished
gen v hey trying to figure out what to do
with that Prime video subscription got for the next what
four days? Come on over our way Prime, Twitch Prime
subscribes completely for free, helps us make this podcast even
bigger and better for you, and we appreciate you a
little tit for Ted as that tape McGray song goes nowadays,
you know, because Hood's hip, who he knows, who he

(02:29):
knows sick seven, you know how.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
I did that? All right?

Speaker 3 (02:33):
So but Kevin isn't here once again, but don't worry.
He will be back on Thursday, where we will celebrate
an important milestone in this here podcast I reckon and
you'll be delighted to know what it is because came fast,
didn't realize at all, and it's here already, So we'll.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Figure that out on Thursday.

Speaker 3 (02:52):
But this might be a short episode that so okay,
it happens when there's one person leading to solo doll
to day.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
But sometimes you want that. Sometimes you just kind of want.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
To give me the facts, no color. We'll go like
you don't want the color commentary. That's totally okay. But
we always sit the podcast properly with something we like
to call what Shit Doing, where we talked about the
shows and movies we've been watching, the games we've been playing,
the lives we've been living. Because I'm the only one
here besides Teddy, and he can't talk.

Speaker 1 (03:20):
I guess I'll go. So obviously, been playing more Ghost
of Tsushima. That's been really.

Speaker 3 (03:25):
Great pretty much to knock and out. It's been a
good like, let me knock out one or two side missions,
let me see a fox Den or something that type
of game. So, whether I know, we've been talking about it,
but that's kind of the journey we have of our
What you're doing is is the journey of us playing
games pretty much degree long form content to a degree.
Jin has been really cool. As a main character, I've

(03:46):
kind of been sticking with one outfit.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
In the entire time.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
But I think that that's totally okay. It's to me
it seems canonical, at least for right now. I'm still
an act one. I've realized that. But you know what, Hey,
that's okay. It's Assassin's Creed over again. Where we spent
so much time in the dan Valhalla in the in
Norway or whoever, the Viking area before you actually went
to where.

Speaker 1 (04:08):
The rest of the game happened.

Speaker 3 (04:09):
That's that's still look and sometimes we just have fun
collecting things and chasing foxes. On top of that, though,
watching wise. Obviously we're watching all the Halloween classes. We
watched Don't Look under the Bed last night, more and
I And it is funny to think that Disney really
had a period for Halloween that year after year there

(04:30):
was a banger after banger after banger. Where in nineteen
ninety eight you have Halloween Town, ninety nine you have
Don't Look Under the Bed, two thousand you have Moms
Got a Date with a Vampire and Phantom of the Magaplex.
Then two thousand and one or two you have Return
or Halloween Town, two calibars, Revenge. It's D coms. Man,

(04:51):
what a time, so we're excited. Were probably gonna watch
probably Mom's Got a.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Date with the Vampire today, I don't know with.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
The Dad from Liz McGuire, Slash from Revenge of the Nerds.
But good time if you always need something to watch,
I think Disney Plus has a good amount of staples,
at least for US millennials, you know, gen Z kids
of growing up with D comms. Everywhere else, it's kind
of hit or miss really what you want to watch,
because some streaming services will have you know, all the

(05:17):
Nightmare on Elm Street Movies, all we'll have Freddy versus Jason,
also a good one we want to watch.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
We did watch Cabin the Woods last week. I think
I mentioned that already.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
But that's a good like you want something that's that's
it's gory, but it's more forth wally and satirical at
least to a degree that's grating. Can't go wrong with
scared movies. That's also good. So I can't wait for
the new one next year. Because I saw TikTok today.
That is very problematic.

Speaker 1 (05:44):
That's what the scene is. But because they're referencing the movie,
you're like, did they I think.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
We'll give them a pass for this one, but I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (05:52):
Don't you watch TikTok. You'll see the TikTok yourself probably
later today.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
But besides that, personally, More does not like watching the
super scary movies. So you boy, every Halloween tries to
make it a journey or an adventure to just dive
deeper into scary, spooky Halloween movies. So last week we
talked about the terrified movies. I finished those was great.
This past few days I watched The Black Phone over.

(06:18):
I think it was like three days.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
I thought that was really good.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
I haven't seen Black Phone two whatever, or yeah, Black
Phone two, which just came out.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
I thought it was really good.

Speaker 3 (06:27):
It definitely is more room for that franchise to grow,
obviously because the sequel just came out, so I got
a sequel already. But it is cool kind of being
in the era where Blumhouse really can kind of and
really whatever makes terrifier, it's kind of its own thing,
kind of redefining what horror can look like and having
icons again, it's cool just to have like, oh, yeah,

(06:49):
I know what that is, and not that's Sam from
Trick or treat that he was in that movie, but
Trick or Treats also slept on movie.

Speaker 1 (06:56):
Don't don't sleep on that one too.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
I'm trying to watch Weapons hopefully later this week, because
I did just come on out in HBO Max. So
if you're trying to watch that, because I know it
is the big movie of the summer that's on HBO Max,
check that out and have not started Welcome to Darry.
But the cool thing with that I found out is
they're releasing their second episode on Halloween night or day whatever,
so you can watch it Halloween night, which is pretty dope.

(07:20):
I think that's a really good PR move, at least
on HBO Max, even though they've had bad PR now
because they've increased the prices on everything, but to like say, hey,
we know.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
What you want.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
And unfortunately we released our Halloween show near the end
of Halloween. But it is what it is, and then yo,
and then this is cool. It kind of leads into
the news, so it's okay. Starting this Saturday, you boy,
we'll be entering my very first Pokemon tournament as adults.

Speaker 1 (07:52):
We're gonna see what happens.

Speaker 3 (07:53):
Saturday morning, your boys going to Dream Wizards, which is
in Rockville, Maryland. It's close to the radio station, so
that works out because it's not too far. They're doing
a pre release for a new set called Fantasmal Flames, which,
in case you haven't seen, it's the one with the
Mega charzart where he's got the blue flames come out
of them. So I found this out because my brother
and I, you know, he got me back, brother John

(08:14):
got me into Pokemon card collecting, and I figured, hey,
I want to get my hands on this new set,
and I have to really like fight people for it, because,
let's face it, getting Pokemon card any cards really in
twenty twenty five, that's next to impossible unless you are
have no job and have no life and there just
looking at bots the entire time to get you the stock.

(08:37):
So found out Dream Wizard, like I said, been there
a couple of times, was doing a tournament. It's pretty
much you get a deck with a couple packs, and
if you finished the whole day, you get three extra packs.
It'd only pay thirty bucks, so you're getting like fifty
dollars worth for thirty bucks.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
I'm excited.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
I haven't I don't think I've ever officially done a
Pokemon TCG tournament, so I'm excited to see what that
looks like. And I think the biggest thing is does
it translate from playing Pokemon TCG pocket to the real life.
I know it doesn't to a degree, but it gives
me the basics. So I'm excited to see whoever I
run up into and gets placed to go up against me.

(09:17):
I think there's like three rounds that they will have
an easy win each three times. With the cool things
all you can only play with the cards you get
in the little deck you get, so kind of like
an equalizer.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
So I'm really excited.

Speaker 3 (09:29):
I'm doing it this Saturday and then potentially next Saturday
as well if it goes well. Really and at least
is a cool time to do that. I think, if anything,
if you've always wanted to do it, I think I'm
just in that era now, like I'm just gonna do it.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
You know, try it. I know. No. I try to
get Eric for the Morning Show to do it. It's like, oh,
your son Max will love it too.

Speaker 3 (09:49):
He's like no, I said, that's okay, I'll figure it
out and scout it out for you.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
But I think it's to do what you love and
see what happens.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
I'm not gonna go pro from this, probably, but you
know what, you boys got his trainer number, which is
the thing. We're gonna see what happens. I got a
little Matt. I got that from a listener the other day.
I forgot the one out a listener. Sam and Gaithersburg
sent the show some Pokemon cards, which was cool, and

(10:18):
I got a little Matt. I guess that's what it is.
That it was from the Pokemon World Championships in twenty nineteen,
and two pins one was from twenty fourteen to one
for twenty nineteen. So I'm gonna play on that. It
looked pretty new. If anything, it is new. He you
just collected it. But thank you. I'm excited to play
for you. You're sponsoring this boy to go pro and

(10:39):
Pokemon TCG.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Fun fact, your boy.

Speaker 3 (10:41):
Did win a regional tournament for Yu Gyoh back when
I was ten or eleven, and those cards are gone.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
I don't know those cards went.

Speaker 3 (10:49):
But hey, we could say in the back of a
Toys r us it was time to duel. But let's
get onto it, because that's all I got, really, what's
going on my life.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
You can always let us know what.

Speaker 3 (11:02):
You've been doing with your life twitch dot tv or
slash infinitem score pods or at infineun score pods.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
It's time, Teddy for the news with the button works.
It's Kevin. The ghost of Kevin says, I don't want
to be here today. So the cool thing. First things
first is speaking of Pokemon. I saw this article actually
earlier this week. I thought it was a really interesting thing.

(11:31):
Obviously with Pokemon Legends, z a Za, whatever you want
to call it.

Speaker 3 (11:35):
Actually, with any new Pokemon game, we get new Pokemon
in it, we get some established Pokemon in it. But
it is actually with Pokemon Legends z A, whatever you
want to call it, that there is only one Pokemon
now catchable in every Pokemon game. Uh and oddly enough,
it's not Pikachu. Technically you would think of me two,

(11:57):
but it's not so our friends of Kataka who have
actually done the math, so thank you. Uh.

Speaker 1 (12:02):
But up until obviously Pokemon Legends A came out, there
was three Pokemon that could be caught in every single
Pokemon RPG. Typically out of that, uh, it would this
article is not right? Okay, cool?

Speaker 3 (12:20):
The three Pokemon there, it would be caught in every
Pokemon game. This is because of DLC, because of whatever
got added in a postgame where sid Duck, Magnamite.

Speaker 1 (12:30):
And Magic carp.

Speaker 3 (12:32):
Now you're saying, wait, those have evolutions. Some of these
games don't have let you evolve Pokemon. So let's that's
sinking every Pokemon game that includes Animal crossing or.

Speaker 1 (12:41):
Not Animal crossing. Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team.
There you go.

Speaker 3 (12:45):
Yeah, those spinoffs, those are the only other those only
three Pokemon in every Pokemon game you can catch, well,
two of them are gone because thanks to Pokemon Legends
z A Magic Carp is now the only catchable Pokemon.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
In every Pokemon game. Uh, it makes sense. I'd be
Magic Carp for the longest time.

Speaker 3 (13:04):
I feel like has been the the mean character. I
feel like Si Duck used to be that, but now
Side Duck is cool.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
You know he's a duck.

Speaker 3 (13:12):
You go sign Tedy even has a side Duck toy,
which is really dope. But it's funny that the Pokemon
that really only catches you can get the garrotos unless
you get.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
A shiny one.

Speaker 3 (13:24):
H isn't every Pokemon gaming. Let's face it, He's gonna
be level five most likely. I didn't think it's funny.
In Legends z A you can catch I think it's
an Alpha Magic Carp, which is like the boss level
of Magic Carp, and he knows what he knows waterfall
and you're like, oh wait, this Magic Carp doesn't learn
no just about splash, so looks really interesting. I think

(13:45):
Pokemon Legends has kind of been doing okay. I think
it's with every Pokemon game. There's mixed reactions to it.
But from what I've heard brother John playing and.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
I guess his brother in law Dennis, they're having a
good time and ted you will stay there? Do you
appreciate it? Tell you's about to jump off the bed?
That's not what we want, but pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
I just figured i'd say that because we're talking about
Pokemon already. I think there are a couple of Magic
Harp cards that are cool too. So if you really
want to get into Pokemon cards, now's the time. Some
would say no because it's expensive, as oh, you can't
find cards anywhere, but why not? Why not for Black
Friday instead of looking for TVs you look for Pokemon
cards instead. But anyway, switching on from that, because I

(14:32):
have no real transition from talking about Pokemon to the
most popular twenty five costumes for nerds. These are the
most popular twenty five Halloween costumes for nerds.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
So thanks to I believe it was our friends Google,
actually our friend at Google.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
Google trans analyzed data and searched interest in the US
comparing September twenty twenty five September twenty twenty four based
on top trending costumes. Pretty much most of these are
nerdy to a degree, but not the nerdiest thing. But
you know what, it's mostly pop culture. Let's face it,
we're in a NERD's world. We're just living in it.

(15:12):
So these apparently will be the most the top ten
trending Halloween costumes for this year slash the most. You'll
see this Friday more and I actually did go out.
How we did Nightmare on m Street in DC this
past weekend, which was really great. We wore or we
were not at the museum. We were Jededdie and Octavius
aka little miniature characters from that movie. Teddy was Dexter

(15:35):
the Monkey. You'll see a photo of that on Friday.
Who else what do we see? We saw a loud
Jurassic Park. We saw a couple of Fourth Wing characters
for the books, so respect to the books.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
There's a bar now on.

Speaker 3 (15:48):
Axt Storm actually in DC you should go to if
you really like the books. And I think what else
did we see that was really I saw some jojo
c was which was interesting because they did play the
Karma as a B word song and that was brilliant
from what I can recall, a little fun, but I
will say the pro move go to Taco Bell after
you go out a night of drinking.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
It's a fun time and soaks up everything case it
is for the win.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
But here are the top churning Halloween costumes for the year.
Majority of them k Pop Demon Hunters number one, Roomy,
number two, Zoe three Mira, four Genu from K Pop
and five Baby Saja from K Pop Demon Hunters. Number
six the chicken jockey from Minecraft. That's actually kind of cool.
I don't know, I don't I haven't seen people like

(16:32):
a pre made costume for that. Obviously, we've seen Minecraft
costumes all the time, especially with the creeper. But if
you get one of those leg costumes that's like, oh,
I'm a human on Chicken and you just turn yourself
in a zombie, then you got it.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
You know you're good to go.

Speaker 3 (16:48):
Number seven the top costume you'll see this Halloween season.
La Booboos makes sense. I haven't seen any impersonally, but
I think that's an easy because just to buy the
mask and then just buy like a furry coat or
something like that. Somehow I got on TikTok with le
Boo Boos, the knockoff lab Boo Boos. I think it's
because there's a mini Miniso Miniso that opened up against

(17:09):
work that now knows and it's like, hey.

Speaker 1 (17:11):
You like these these cute see things. No, I don't.
I don't can't afford them.

Speaker 3 (17:15):
Eric bought a couple he didn't get anything he wanted.
Number eight is Dirty the Tiger, which is the Tiger
from K Pop Team and Hunters. Nine is Alphaba, and
ten is the lora Ax. I think the Lorax is
one of those timeless costumes, just kind of see everywhere.
Same thing with Pipple. I really want to go to
Pippole concert and put on a bald cap. More does too,
So next time Piple missed three to five, Dala comes

(17:37):
this area, We're gonna.

Speaker 1 (17:39):
Come find you.

Speaker 3 (17:41):
Alphaba makes sense. Wicked for a good comes out next
military less than a month from now. I'm excited, more
as excited. She's actually gonna go with us, hopefully to
see the movie early. I think Kevin's Fame is coming too,
so that'll be a fun time. We almost thought about
doing Alpha Ba and Glinda. Just a lot of green paint,
a lot of green paint for that, and then oh,

(18:02):
the top couple's costume they had this year was Asterroid
and Hiccup from How to Train Your Dragon Makes sense.

Speaker 1 (18:08):
I don't. I feel like not a lot.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
Of people really watch the live action movie this year,
but okay, and the top dog costume is Labuo bo
so Teddy.

Speaker 1 (18:18):
Next year will be a year.

Speaker 3 (18:20):
Behind and you can be at La Boo Boo so
pretty cool and above all else got costume IDs for
next year, Slash. I think that this pro tip is
day after Halleen probably this year, maybe the Monday after Halloween,
because everyone's kind of got Halleen parties going on this
year on the week This weekend is buy your costumes.

Speaker 1 (18:40):
Go to Spirit and buy everything for discount.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
So if like you have a dead Poole costume, like
I boy does, go buy the Deadpool accessories this year.
That way, next year you haven't even better costume. More
running convention or con you want to go to, you
get bits and pieces from things you want later on
to use for later and then you're good to go.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Like if you want Wolverine Claus, just have Wolverine Claus.

Speaker 3 (18:59):
Go find it, Go find him. After Halloween, you'll be
good to go. But now I'm gonna switch it up. Actually,
let me pull this up so we can all watch
this together. And of course my internet's not working right now.
It's just the fate of this podcast. It's Okay, we're
gonna talk about Halo Campaign evolves. In case you missed
the news, Halo had its World Championships last last week

(19:24):
and they announced Halo Studios and Microsoft and announced that
Halo Campaign Involved, which will be an Unreal Engine five
remake of the two thousand and one obviously classic, is
coming potentially next year potentially.

Speaker 1 (19:40):
So they revealed the trailer.

Speaker 3 (19:42):
I thought, look cool, we're gonna I'm gonna put it
up just so we have something to talk about, because
I really don't think you'll hear my thoughts. But I'm
gonna go switch on over. Make sure we go to
Reaction theater.

Speaker 1 (19:54):
So we're gonna go do do and we go here
and that's good, good, good good. And we are in
Reaction theater. There we go. Look at that.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
See we're figuring things out. Even though Kevin's not here,
we can still do a thing or two. Uh, that's
help with the trailer started. So Halo Campaign Involved. It's
coming out. We don't know when, but it will be
a complete remake of the game.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
That is not the trailer one.

Speaker 3 (20:27):
We're gonna with this one actually instead, that's that's just
some people talking.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
It looks interesting.

Speaker 3 (20:33):
They showed off the Silence Silent Cartographer map, which is
the one where you get off the Pelican onto a
wart hog and are on the beach with all the
elites and grunts.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
Which is really cool. It's kind of one of the
iconic missions for me.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
I think it's it's still that getting getting in the spaceship,
getting out your little tube. So it is a remake it.
The interesting thing is it will be coming to Xbox,
it will be coming to PC, and most importantly, it'll
be coming to Place station. Five will be the first
time the Halo games technically game become in PlayStation systems.
I'm kind of treating this like they're trying, like Halo

(21:07):
Studios and Microsoft are trying to go to the resident
Evil route of Hey, let's modernize the franchise, modernize everything
in there, and get it on everything. I mean, Xbox
and Model is play anywhere. As much as we love
and hate it at the same time, mostly hate it.
Now Xbox is doing everybody dirty, especially with game Pass.

(21:27):
This seems that makes sense. The only thing it's not
coming to right now is Nintendo consoles. But I think
the cool thing is if you've had a PlayStation of
one always play the Halo games. Now you can eventually
enough the war Hag War Haag War Hog is gonna
play the same. So it is drifty as hell. So
if you're used to normal driving mechanics in a game

(21:49):
like a Grand Thorismo now or even a Grand Theft
Auto is go drive like did in two thousand and one,
maybe two thousand and three, the games was out a
bunch of new weapons. Obviously, you're you're an access to
weapons that kind of came, came and went through the
Halo franchise over time, like the Energy Sword. You can
actually use that in this version of Halo one. The

(22:11):
main difference really is, I know I kind of had
the same questions between the Halo master Chief collection where
they kind of redid everything already, is that this is
going to be Unreal Engine five, So it's in the
engine you're playing game most games, and now you won't
have the ability to switch back and forth, so you
won't see what old Halo looked like. But it's gonna

(22:32):
look pretty. They didn't show the flood or anything like
that in the back half of the game, but yeah,
I think it's an opportune time. I don't know, something
you get because you played Halo a lot and you
want to play it again one more time. But they
will be adding three new missions that will be prequel
missions that that.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
Feature Sergeant Johnson.

Speaker 3 (22:51):
No word on how that revolves around Halo Reach, because
if I love the best thing I loved about Halo
Reach was that it was the easter egg where I
think the ship was launching off a reach and he
held I think you held your your what you turned
to the right on the during the cut scene you
saw Chief in the little tube. It was like a

(23:12):
little easter egg that if you meant it plated the controller,
it worked.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
So we'll see what happens.

Speaker 3 (23:16):
Maybe we'll see how Chief gets in that tube, which
would be pretty cool that I don't think a lot
of people actually know unless you read the books, which
if you read the books, I think Kevin and I
have said this before.

Speaker 1 (23:27):
You're you're you're a smart cookie. You've got time read
books and play the video game. Good for you. Beyond that,
it is the Halo you know and love.

Speaker 3 (23:35):
The cool thing is you'll be able to play four
player co op uh online, two player co op locally,
which is good I think for more and if I
want to get.

Speaker 1 (23:44):
More to play, this would be it.

Speaker 3 (23:47):
But they're actually like altering the Warthog so you can
put four people in there.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
Overall.

Speaker 3 (23:53):
At first, I was kind of like, ah, this is stupid,
but I mean it makes sense. I mean we're in
the day and age of where video games are left
and right remade. Uh or maybe they're just remastered and
they're said they're remade just to get younger audiences to
play it.

Speaker 1 (24:06):
And you assume they do this.

Speaker 3 (24:08):
If Halo really follows the resident evil frant formula, they're
good to go because we do this all right. Here's
Halo Infinite too, because you know nobody nobody really played
Halo Infinite. Here's Halo two campaignable or not campaignable, but
I don't know what's Loganna go for that, but Halo
two evolved.

Speaker 1 (24:26):
Sure we'll go with that. I'm excited.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
The cool thing is they got all the original voice
actors to come back to voice the characters, so they
are gonna sound a little older, which is cool too,
because you know, Master Chief should sound a little this
man's gruff and tough. The cool thing is the guy
who voice voices master Chief in the Halo games is
an actual radio personality. That's the guy I want to
meet one day, Like, hey, you went from that to Halo, Now,

(24:49):
how can I do not? He's not the Slayer it
multi kill, he's he's cheap, so he doesn't really don't
really talk except for a couple of heads. It will
be cool, it's interesting enough. There will be no multiplayer,
no forge, So this really is just the campaign, like
I said, evolved. Who knows how much the price is, uh,

(25:11):
but when a couple of our friends asked, they they
were thinking around fifty to fifty to sixty.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
So yeah, I really like Halo.

Speaker 3 (25:19):
There's no I don't think they're gonna bring master Chief
Collection to the PlayStation. So this is the only way
you can get that. If you have a PlayStation, that's
the only thing you got. But I you know, mileage
may vary, but it could be worth it could not.
But no word I want is coming out potentially next year.
Next year Xbox turns thirty, so they're probably going to

(25:39):
tee it up. The Xbox launched in November. Actually right,
yeah Xbox.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
Wait, waita microso I think it's Microsoft turned thirty Xbox
release date they get the right twenty five. Sorry Xbox
turns twenty five. I've had Anniversity. Xbox turned twenty five
next year, so probably going to tee it up. Xbox
come out in two thousand and one.

Speaker 3 (26:06):
This has been the main launch game, let's face it
to come out around the same time, if not a
couple of months before. Hoodie's history of Halo is brother
John and I got an Xbox. We mostly played Battlefront
Ont's at Xbox because it was a used Xbox that
barely work, but we would go to our friend's house
and I think I believe we rented Halo from the

(26:30):
from Blockbuster. Was that in Psychonauts, played Psychoots for a
hot second and luckily we've played that now and then
played the first level of Halo, so dope. I don't
think we actually really got the game again until we
got an Xbox three sixty to play Halo two.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
Halo two, no, actually no, when Halo two came out on.

Speaker 3 (26:49):
Xbox, man, what the time Halo three came out in
three sixty, my god, and played it there. Halo three
we got it birthday gift Granma if not realizing it
was she got us to Collector's ass edition and it
was dope. Azel played out of four and five I
played a little bit of and then never played Infinite.
I think I've done Halo the first one, I think

(27:13):
three times now, and overall, I think that's it's just
a good core story, the first three of the core story,
and then the back three not so much. But that's okay.
But yeah, who knows, follow the resident evil formula and
it'll be it'll be good to go. Really, uh So
let me switch on over back to me. I'm over here.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
There we go, because now I don't have a logo.
That's okay. We are gonna break down Dispatch episodes one
and too. Baby.

Speaker 3 (27:45):
So this is a little bit of a spoiler, which
is why I really went towards the end of the podcast,
because you know, we like to talk about things that
a little spoilery. Dispatch is the new video game from
ad Hoc Studios. Like we said at beginning of the podcast, uh,
they pretty much are a lot of the team of
Telltale that dating to the Walking Dead day. They will
for among us, guards the Galaxy tails from the Borderlands,

(28:06):
which I think is the best Borderlands game, let's face it.

Speaker 1 (28:10):
But they form together.

Speaker 3 (28:11):
I know it's been kind of years since they formed
and reformed and have made Dispatch, which is a new
sort of I guess we're gonna call it like a
superhero workplace video game where essentially you play Robert Robertson,
who's voiced by Aaron Paul. Actually we get the cast
list because that's a whole length is bad cast.

Speaker 1 (28:29):
List, uh, where he essentially is what is it?

Speaker 3 (28:35):
He's a superhero who down in his luck and has
lost access to things and is recruited by an agency
to help essentially a suicide squad go from villains to heroes,
which is pretty cool. I'm gonna probably put up a
couple of scenes on the game when we kind of
go through things we're talking about it. The cool thing

(28:55):
about this game is does a tailtale model, whether or
don't not the same thing like the Life of Strange
models where it is episodes, and I think that is
good for this game because it chunks it up a
little bit to a degree. But the coolest thing about
this is that every two episodes are gonna be eight
total will be spread out over the next I guess
four weeks now. Episodes one and two came out last week,

(29:17):
two and three are three and four this week.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
Then so on and so forth, and it actually works
for this game.

Speaker 3 (29:23):
I think we've talked about how, especially with me because
I think I play most of the episode of game
games on the show. Is that like Life Is Strange,
or even any of the Tailtale games is. You'll get
episodes one and two maybe that come out as the
launch episodes. Then you're waiting a month and goes two
months like, hey, we've got episode three's trailer. You'll get

(29:44):
it next month, Like oh man, I don't remember what's
going on at all now because it's been so long.
And I think this works because it is weekly releases
and they're sticking to it. Essentially the game is done.
Back then, it really was they were trying to do
that to develop on the game more or see what
people like, see what the choices were, and kind of
pivot to a degree if they really could this is

(30:04):
game's done. We want to release it this way because,
if anything, this might be the closest a game is
to a TV show.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
And I know that kind of is.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
A triggered term when it comes to video games, thinking
of quantum break and you know, when the Xbox One
launch of like you know, we want to.

Speaker 1 (30:17):
Be your one box for entertainment.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
No, this is how it should be because the game
starts off and I think the coolest thing about it,
I'm gonna throw it up, actually you will pull it
up here is you can have it in cinematic mode
or interactive mode, and you know your boy put it
in cinematic mode where essentially you instead of you having
to do all the quick time events which are very
near and dear to the tailtale episodic games like Life

(30:42):
is Strange too, whereas oh, you got to catch the
bread or catch the ball, hit ay right here, this
is Nope, you're not getting any of that. You were
just going to be here for The choices will guide
the decisions is happening in this story, like answer, leave
or attack that's going on right now. I thought it
was really cool because it really felt like watching too

(31:02):
how I want TV shows to go. It really felt
like watching the Netflix interactive choices like the Panter Statue
now the Black Mere episode. But this actually was like
cool and it was like, oh, this is what I
want to do, and it actually there's some choice in
thought behind it. Two degree to a degree. Yeah, the
main cast here, Robert Robinson, he's her main character. He's

(31:26):
Meccha Man, so essentially kind of a knockoff of Iron
Man to a degree where there's been three generations of
his family running the same suit, all being Mecha Man.
But in the opening minutes of this game, he loses
the suit and he's really starting off a square one.
He's down on his luck and we see where we
go from there. He's voiced by Aaron Paul which is

(31:46):
really dope. You got in Visigal voiced by Laura Bailey.
Sonar is voiced by Charlie White. Chase is Jeffrey White
aka the Commissioner. Gordon now Blond Blazer is Aaron Evetts,
which I believe.

Speaker 1 (32:01):
I actually wanted to look that up. She's in a
bunch of stuff too. It's cool. Oh she's in Firewatch.
That's why her voice sounds familiar.

Speaker 3 (32:10):
Punch Up is voiced by Jack Septic, Guy Flombay, Lance Constopolis,
and Melevla is voiced by a lot of Pierce So
a lot of kind of streamers in there, but there's
a lot of good actors in there too, and you
can kind of tell who's there for more of a
set dressing versus who's there as a main character. The
main character is really Shin. I think the two episodes

(32:32):
were about forty five to a minute long, based on
how long I was taking to make a decision.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
And I think it worked. I think that's really cool.

Speaker 3 (32:39):
Just we are in the era of streaming services of
a season being eight to ten episodes usually being about
forty five minutes long, and this felt like that. It
felt like very a different version of Invincible. It felt like,
obviously the Friendly Neighborhood Spider Man show what Ifs of like, hey,
let's get in there and tell you good story, have fun,

(33:00):
but it's a whole animated and like the style of it.
I think if you've watched those shows, you're kind of
ready for this game. But the interesting thing is that's
not the entire game. That's half the game. The other
half is essentially you work. Why it's called dispatch is
you are working from a telecenter dispatching heroes to certain
tasks of a mission. The first two episodes kind of

(33:21):
tease it up a little bit as a tutorial, so
I'm assuming the next batches will have a lot of it.

Speaker 1 (33:26):
But you're recruited. If your suit gets fixed, you have
to help this task of.

Speaker 3 (33:31):
Villains turn into heroes by kind of going through a
reform program. And I think the characters in there are
really funny. Jeffrey right, I think, and Aaron Paul kill it.
And there's scenes just what happens there. Don't want to
spoil it, but it's really cool, and I think there's
a lot of choice in that that kind of makes
you think, oh, what if, And because episodes are pretty short,

(33:52):
you can do a different play and see what happens.
I think it was only like maybe like six big
decisions in the first two episodes, but and it says
Meca man or Flambay will remember that, Oh was that
the good decision or.

Speaker 1 (34:05):
Was it that the bad decision?

Speaker 3 (34:07):
What I'm showing if you're watching the video version of
the podcast is probably like fifteen minutes into the first
game or the first episode. Butrvall, I think every episode
releases on Wednesday.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
I believe episode three. I wish I had the press release,
but I did not. October Yeah, on Wednesdays, so pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (34:32):
I believe the full game is about forty dollars, So
if your thing you want to do, I think it's
worth it. Obviously you could wait until end and then
just see if it's worth it at all or not.
But overall a good time. Definitely think you should try
it out, especially if you maybe got a gift card
or if you're looking for a game to ask for
the holidays. Hey, this will be perfect. All the episodes
will be out. Get that Xbox gift card or the

(34:53):
PlayStation gift card. It's been on this.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
I think it's good voice acting, good animation as of
right now. We'll see what happen.

Speaker 3 (35:00):
Overall, a good time, and I'm gonna switch on over back,
on over to here.

Speaker 1 (35:04):
As we wrap up the podcast.

Speaker 3 (35:06):
Overall, if I give it a score, I give it
an eight and a half out of ten. I think
obviously there's room to grow. We don't know what's gonna
happen in the next couple weeks with these episodes, but
pretty pretty fun world.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
To be in.

Speaker 3 (35:18):
I think we'll see if they do go with the
tropes we have nowadays with superhero shows, or if they
do something different, which would be pretty cool as well.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
That does it for me. I went forty minutes. I'm
proud of myself. Did a baby actually thirty five minutes? Fine.

Speaker 3 (35:33):
I always look at the stream time versus the record
time is different. But Kevin will be back on Thursday.
Hopefully we will be celebrating a cool mile soon for
the podcast, and I think the thing will go well.
We don't have really anything to talk about. We're gonna
rank the best wrestling finishers of all time. Yep, We're

(35:54):
gonna think of them. We'll be a leg drop, will
be an attitude adjustment or an F five. Well, Kevin
will be side. Mostly we'll find out. You'll find out
there too. But you want to be part of the show.
You can always chat and be in the DM, be
in the dms, be in the conversations, Twitch dot tv
slash Infinite Underscore pods or YouTube dot com slash Infinite

(36:14):
Underscore pods as well. But also if you need to
stay up today on that nerdy news, you need to
know at Infinite Underscore pods on the Instagram ORDI X
go give it to you. Like I said, Kevin will
be back on Thursday. We will be potentially in costumes.
If I can convince Kevin to go find a costume.

Speaker 1 (36:29):
He'll probably just put on his cape and his rambowig
let's face it.

Speaker 3 (36:33):
But as always, my name is Hoodie that's teddy, and
you have officially listened to the Soulo episode of What
Teddy Crisis on Infinite Poocast.

Speaker 1 (36:48):
Mabe he's got to work on the outroup.
