That doesn't like a whole.

of Akanda, that trailer that came out out during Comic
Con but didn't wasn't part of Comic Con weirdly enough,
which is the whole thing.
Speaker 2 (01:05):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (01:05):
Then Disney also said, Hey, here's the Avatar trailer as well,
and I'm gonna give you a little short review on
the Naked Gun movie that comes out this week.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
Bang but a minute, I would saying I couldn't kind
of make it that with you guys, But I take
care of some things.

Amazon Prime damn tears now right where it's like to
get the Prime Video free no ads?
Speaker 1 (02:43):
Yes, well that's so that's Prime Video. So that's separate.
I don't know how how the ecosystem all works. It's
as you're stuck with the thing you bought with Amazon Prime,
you know, like five years ago or whatever.
Speaker 2 (02:53):
It sucks that I have to get commercials thrown on
videos now, but I still love get my stuff next
day when I order it, So that's always great.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
It's true. It is true. It's the price you pay. Also,
Prime Video is that Netflix very shady with the commercials
because he's like, oh, no commercials at all. That's great.
And the next thing you watch why there's so many
damn commercials. And that's one thing I know too, because I'm.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Talking about little wrestling on this we get to us watching,
but when I'm watching Raw every time I on rall said,
this just says your level of membership inclu's commercials. I'm wondering,
is there raw and all commercials? If you have like the.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
Premium see that's a live TV thing. That's a whole
conundrum too over there.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
You know, it's great of mine. So if I had
like the twenty six ninety nine HT four K Netflix,
when I still get ads, maybe I'll think about it.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
But we always start the show properly with what you're doing,
where we talk about the shows and movies. We've been watching, games,
we've been playing, lives we've been living. Because it is Thursday,
yeh boy gets to go first. And speaking of WWE,
I'm on the hype train now for Summer Slam this
week because it's it's two nights and Mora is gone
(04:03):
for a work trip for a week. So Teddy and
I we're gonna be watching Summer Slam in our pajamas.
Baby sounds great.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
I'll be watching it with my daughter who will be
eating away.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
I'm sure she's like, well, yes, you're your youngest daughter.
Your oldest daughter said, I don't have time for this.
I'm not watching this for two nights.
Speaker 2 (04:22):
My oldest daughter unless on a screen. She does not
care about wrestling.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
And I don't think she has a match, right, No,
she's injured. Yeah, so yeah, yeah, so a match unfortunately. Yeah,
SUMMERSLA the buildboard, it's all over the place. But hey,
we're all, We're all. It's it's one of the Big
four babies, so you gotta watch it.
Speaker 2 (04:40):
Yeah. When it comes to wrestling in summers Wrestlemaning, SummerSlam
Wrestleing is more like the all inclusive, like you can
just watch for a week and love it. Some Slam
it's more nerdy wrestling. I feel like some saying rumbled,
what the heck? Why do the three people in the ring?
Why going over the top? Why is that speeding the ring?
Speaker 1 (04:55):
What's happening? But in lieu of that, to prepare, I
did start w w N real last night. I got
through the first episode. Kevin. I'm assuming you watched it
so you can chime into whenever you want to talk
about it. And the first episode feels like an entry episode,
like oh, you know these things, you know, like let
me get in these these nitty gritty episodes with the
back half.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
Yeah, I watched it first three and it literally feels
like if you ever watched like an ESPN thirty for
thirty about like I don't know, the robbery between the
lady and the Celtics. It feels like that just for wrestling.
Speaker 1 (05:27):
And Hard Knocks at the same time.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
You know hard Knocks too exactly, because they take you
into the room where they where they're planning their matches.
I think they do a good job of revealing most
of them have not all of the magic, because in
a lot of later episodes they'll show you, hey, when
thinking about this for this match, and then they woud
actually show the match when they were talk about didn't
they may happen. Yeah, it's really cool.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
I think it's interesting. I don't know if it's a
one and donner, they could do it again. But I
mean ww's always constantly filming. That's why, Like Peacock had
that like WrestleMania documentary from like the nineties that was like, oh, yeah,
we've had this footage the whole time, so they realistically
could just keep doing this for foreseeable future. And it's
always like you get hooked on it because you see,
(06:07):
you see a TikTok clip and you watch like twenty
TikTok clips there, I might as well just watch the
episode at the point, just told.
Speaker 2 (06:14):
A friend that worked with ask me watching knowledge the clips,
like I watch the clips. Now, just go watch the show.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
You will not regret it. But yeah, some More is
going on work trip so excited for it's her first
work trip for this new job she's been at since January.
They're going to Nashville. It's like a week and a half.
So just send her your energy out loud, dragon ball
and because she's gonna need it, because you like, a
three day work conference is fine, but a whole week
is a long time?
Speaker 2 (06:39):
Is natill girl? Vegas?
Speaker 4 (06:42):
It is?
Speaker 1 (06:44):
But isn't It's It's really like it's bar Central is
what I've I've never been. More unfortunately has only gone
for work trips. He's never gone for fun. So like
it's like, oh, sure the conference is over and oh
co workers are getting alcohol. But like some over workers
are like forty five, you know, some of them are, yeah,
thirty eight and it's like, here's more like, I'm not
(07:04):
gonna get blackout drunk in front of my coworkers, Like
they're not us. You know, we can't do that if
we wanted to.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
She was drinking.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
That's normal in our end.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
As I'm down this bottle of tombs because I'm forty
five years old.
Speaker 1 (07:20):
Yeah, Bachelor's are there. They have the pedal cars and
all that stuff. We actually we have a good number
of radio friends there too, which is fun. So like
we ever did go, we we treated like royalty essentially
in front of.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
The podcast on Mike Deef and Bobby Bone Show.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
Yeah, hell yeah, I love it. You and I always
we're always dming each other about.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
The movies we see. Yeah, it's not you just check
on my kids. It's so nice. I'm like, Wow, you're
in a whole of the world.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
I appreciateiate that. I appreciate. But then, uh more than
I did. Try a place I don't know if you
haven't near you, Kevin. It's called Jet's Pizza. It's like
a chain that's kind of like on the rise, a
little bit a pizza chain. It's Detroit based pizza apparently
like it's some of the people that worked for Papa
John's and some of the good the good people. I
(08:05):
made jets pizza as a side thing. We tried it
last week. It was really good. I kind of might
get it and be like, that's my food for the week,
because you're like, all right, let me just get a
big thing and that's all I eat for the week
the weekend.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
You know a Detroit style pizza place here in Baltimore?
Is it down there? Still spring to underground pizza? But
this looks a lot. This looks a lot better than that.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
Actually, I will say the one time I went, didn't
realize they were doing it was an episode out of
The Bear. It was like, oh, if you text us
your order, we'll give you thirty percent off. They were bombarded.
It was that first episode of The Bear, and I
was like, there's the worst time to go. But I
bet if I go on a random Thursday, it'll be fine.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
So but I did find out through a mistake. Because
I'm deep into food TikTok right now my crown up session,
I didn't know that Leito Pizza is Maryland style pizza.
Speaker 1 (08:49):
I don't know the Square pizza.
Speaker 2 (08:52):
The Square Pizza was sweeter sauce and like a biscuity crust.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
A biscuity crust. That's all you, baby. I didn't know
that they don't cut corners.
Speaker 2 (09:00):
They don't. Uh.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
And then last thing gotta warre Ragnarack Update. I'm trying, Kevin,
I'm trying to beat this game. You got a weekend,
you got a whole week but the crater it just
sidetracked me this whole damn time. I was like, oh,
go left to go, continue the man story, follow the
dog and see where you go. And then all of
a sudden, here's this open area. They're like, oh, let
(09:25):
me do that, and oh there's like fifty missions here.
Oh god.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
I mean that that game is very deep off of
just the main storyline, which is amazing. This is really
it's a really deep game because you get lost in
because because like I said, I still haven't defeated all
the Valkyris from the first game.
Speaker 1 (09:43):
It was so much that last one, never beaten, never
gonna have thekers are okay. I've been okay with the
berserkers so far in this game.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
Beat one, I was like, I'm gonna do that again.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
Yeah, It's it's pretty much the same thing over and overgain.
You just have to have a good level. Whatever the
power level is. I guess they this crater area like
opened up. I'm like, there's a lot here. Like I
was like, okay, there's this big, big lightning ball in
the middle. That's how we see where I go. Let
me go left, not knowing if that was the way
or not. And then oh there's another left. Oh my god,
(10:14):
there's twenty missions this way. I haven't even gotten the
main thing yet.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
That's not it's not it's not alphine, but it's alphine
with a something like that.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
Vanaheim Vanaheim is that?
Speaker 2 (10:24):
And then the lightning bulb. It's because I don't know
if you figured I would.
Speaker 1 (10:27):
I have not because I have not gotten that way yet.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Say it. I'm not gonna say it now because I'm spoiled. Sorry,
I'm glad, stop myself.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
I'm worried about going right. I haven't even gone right yet,
and I'm like, oh, if I go that way, I
don't even know what's down that path dragging the area yet.
I found a couple of dragons, So that's been fun.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
It's it's a fun little level. And then once you
like get all your abilities on lock, you go back
there and find more stuff. That area.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
I found a well, that's fun. There's two deer there.
I'm like, I can't do anything with the deer right now,
figure out what to do with them later.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
And then there's a bell you can ring that can
turn it from day to night and yes, changed.
Speaker 1 (11:03):
Which I don't love that. I don't like that mechanic
because I'm like, which one is it?
Speaker 2 (11:07):
All right?
Speaker 1 (11:08):
Which one the one I need to get? There's like
a chest that I don't know how to get to.
I'm like, somehow there's gotta be some way to get
to the damn chest, but I don't know how to
do it.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
It's a cool game design, but just just like the
wolves and other levels, like this is cool, but man,
I hate going back and forth.
Speaker 4 (11:23):
Like.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
You know, like a trace. You know, we'll save Ragnrock
eventually one of these days, a little protect against Ragnrock
or whatever we're doing ragon Rock.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Wait a minute, I saw chess Dad rag and Rock
chess chess.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
But but there's a raven over there. Let me get
that right, and let me tell you those ravens are traumatizing.
And like I know, I'm five years later this game,
but anytime I see something green, or I see a
shadow of a burden or kind of get it, kill it,
kill it. But yeah, that's what I've been doing so
far this week, Kevin, What you been doing, good sir.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
Actually, speaking of AD Awards a little bit of side
news Regidy the other day, the show runner Forget said
that the new show is going to it's gonna mirror
more than the last two games and not the first three.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
Yes, it's gonna be based on that as that or
the as Guardian I guess Norwegian whatever, yeah, yeah, whatever
you yeah, But I'm.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
Excited about that because I think it gives an opportunity to,
like I think I said it a while ago that
they should do that should be like only three or
four seasons, but like the middle episode should be all
flashbacks when he was literally just like.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
Yeah, cool, because because I think the other thing is
like in the games you kind of like only get
mentions of it. I'm like, yeah, you know, he was
Greek and all that stuff, and like it's it's just
funny because I'm at the point in that game in
the game now where it's like they don't have story
conversations give you anymore. So it's like, oh, here's just
fun backstory, random things we don't care about. We're going
to talk about in the boat and the.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
One like when mir says, when you were a guy, yeh,
you can hold on lightning and fire, right, He's like, yeah,
I could you do it?
Speaker 4 (12:55):
Now?
Speaker 1 (12:57):
That's only the one I just had.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
I am hoping though, after seeing him at the premiere
on Fantastic four, Batisa.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
Oh, sorry, of what movie Kevin still got that one program?
Speaker 2 (13:12):
But that's a scene. And then I'm like, it kind
of has to be Batista, right, Like I feel like
he had that.
Speaker 1 (13:17):
But I mean, remember, for the longest time we thought
he was gonna be Marcus Phoenix for the like because
he was in The God of War as five I
think as a skin and like, all right, cool, whenever
this gets turned into a show or a movie, it
would be good to go.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
They already dropped bottle Neck. That could have been like
The Fast and the Furies of like action movies, the
God of War series, a group of guys with guns
and one gets taken out that.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
That I mean that, and we should we I think
maybe next week, if we don't have a lot to
talk about, we'll just do the state of video game adaptations,
I think and just be like, how far is this?
Are you even close to it? Who do we want?
I think as the main person, you're like, what have
we got?
Speaker 2 (13:57):
What's out now? And what's coming? Yeah, that'd be pretty fun.
I like that. But yeah, I really hope they get
him as Cradles in the future and that'll be fun. Far.
What else I've been doing, I'm watching, Like I said,
w W Unreal has been really, really good. It's making
me wish that, like I had tried to get into
wrestling a long time ago, because some of the scenes
in the writer's room and the writer talking and I'm like,
that was your idea and I'm stupid. I have better
(14:19):
right here.
Speaker 1 (14:20):
I love a bit more, and I hate Bruce Pittard
even more now.
Speaker 2 (14:24):
Bruce Prichard is an a choir taste.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
I don't even know how he's still there. I'm like,
he should have been popped with the prior administration.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
Yeah, and who knows that that lawsuit is ongoing, so
it may happen at some point. Unfortunately. I'm really enjoying that,
really getting me excited again for this weekend's Summer Slam
or Now I'm probably gonna watch just watch it with
my kids and my wife all sleep eventually. But I
really looked at him, like, shoot, go to Jimmy, same seafood,
big old place.
Speaker 1 (14:54):
Now, Kevin, that that would be the move. I'm gonna
take a gummy and oh, I couldn't hear you whisperings
the point only if you heard it, you can hear it.
But I want to take something to enjoy the box.
I enjoy it even more.
Speaker 2 (15:10):
There you go, there you go, looking forward to that.
As far as playing, I'm still going to that Redemption.
I'm still in the snowy North.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
And you might have, Kevin, you might as low key
picked it up at a good time, because the rumor is,
as this podcast recording, the Nintendo Direct is supposed to
announce the remastered for Red Dead two, which would be
an upgrade, free upgrade for you on PlayStation, potentially during
the Nintendo Direct, so you might have picked it up
at a good time. We'll find out no later this week.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
And already looks really really good. That's awesome, it's amazing.
So I'm playing that right now. I don't know when
it thaws out and stops being winter, but I'm really
excited for it because that's one thing I don't like
in video games. We go to war. I hate winter because,
like when you're trying to walk around in the snow
and it has to be real and you're tru it sucks.
Speaker 1 (15:56):
I want to walk.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
I want to walk for real. So playing that yesterday
at work, I did my first Orioles games I've been
employed in the station, which was Experience. There's a lot
of things going on that the I guess the laymen
just turns the game on and watch the game of
listening game radio doesn't know what's happening. It's a lot happening.
Speaker 1 (16:16):
It's a lot going on, more than you think.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
Cutting highlights and listening to the game cues and it's crazy.
But thankfully I went off out a hitch kind of,
I mean a mistick this morning. But we're good now.
Speaker 1 (16:29):
So it's learning. We're learning. Yeah, we're learning.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
We're learning. And other than that, that's about it. I
haven't remember doing that much. Excited to hear your Naked
Gun review that.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
Well, let's get onto it because it is time for
the new Yeah. First things first, we had to talk
about the Naked Gun twenty twenty five, so let's break
it down. Also shout out any dragon did finally see
(17:08):
Andy let us know she thought it was pretty lit.
Out of ten galactuses, what would you give it? Also,
everyone else, out of ten galactuses, what would you give
fantastic for? That'd be interested? Now, jab Perry does have
a wedding this weekend during Summer Slam, so to watch
as soon as you get home. Luckily, you have a wedding,
so like, you're not gonna be on your phone that
much to get spoilers like on Twitter or Instagram, so
(17:29):
you'll be pretty golden there. That's good.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
I mean, unless that wedding involves Colt only members, I'll
be on my phone watching it through the perception. That's
just me though.
Speaker 1 (17:38):
Hey, can we put it on one of the TVs?
I'll give you my peacock locket. What's the Wi fi called?
Speaker 2 (17:43):
Anybody know? It? Is? There? A guest long? Anybody? I
brought my rocud?
Speaker 1 (17:48):
We brought it in? Well, okay, Naked Gun So in
case you didn't know, Naked Gun is based on originally
a TV show called Police Squad, which did start Leslie Nielsen. Nielsen,
who you might famously remember from Airplane probably most likely
(18:09):
maybe Mister Magoo like your boy watched that I thought
was The Naked Gun the entire time, but no, it
was a different movie that Disney made and it was
not good. But as a kid, it was great. He
danced a little turkey thing. It was fun. I went
on old deep dive. I'm like, what is that movie
that I remember? But it was based on the show
that got turned into a series of movies. I think
(18:31):
it was three movies, right, Kevin before.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
This, Yeah, nicka Gun, nicka Gun twenty two, in the
second Smell of Fear, nikod Gun thirty three, and the
third I can't remember what the tagline was.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
Yeah, And essentially there was O. J. Simpson was in there.
It was a knockoff of lethal Weapon and a lot
of the crime dramas. And there's a joke in the
trailer for this movie that it's like, yeah, f O J. Simpson,
but we don't give crap anymore, no homage to him anymore.
Speaker 2 (18:53):
O J. Simpson? What a what a guy?
Speaker 1 (18:56):
Yeah, But essentially it was parody movies at a time
that Airplane kind of went hand in hand, and then
obviously for our generation, you know, you had your scary movies,
you had your epic movie. You had I think it
was a date movie or love movie, disaster movie, Meet
the Spartans, and then there was the sports one was
(19:16):
the sports one, Sports Oh.
Speaker 2 (19:19):
A Clair Sealitary, it was.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
The Comebacks that was like the last like that was
the sports parody movie of that and Vampire Suck that
was That's another one that's like on Hulu that you
can They're all on like Hulu. You can enjoy it
to your heart's content. But we really were in an
era of parody movies. We had a lot of those,
and it was whatever came out during the previous year
would get roasted in the scary movie or whatever movie.
(19:46):
Like notoriously, I think Epic Movie was all about Narnia
and Jack Spear at the time, because when it came out,
those are the movies that were coming out, and stuff
like that comes back next summer, heck yes. And so
that's why I'm saying, this is this movie coming back
in twenty twenty five of the franchise is kind of
a signal flare of hey, parody movies are coming back,
which is really dope. Now, obviously you got to see
(20:08):
how how do you do a parody movie in twenty
twenty five, because in two thousand and five was a
lot different. You know, you can get away with unfortunately
a lot more and more, I guess is the best
way to say that. But I think this movie did
it best because it wasn't parodying specific things. It was
just being funny the whole time. So Eric and I
(20:29):
got the host that Kevin couldn't go, which is totally okay.
He'll probably see it on a movie pass or a
discount thing. But I laughed this entire movie, Kevin, and
there is one joke that made the entire theater laugh
for five minutes straight.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
I'm happy to hear that because I know Seth MacFarlane, McFarlane,
I'm from a family, creative family guy he's producing. And
the Lonely Island Squad. I'm not sure which one of
them doorma, which one combination they wrote it, So those two,
I feel like that that's a that's a that's compedition
for for very good comedy, not just like comedy for comedies.
That makes me very excited that you laughed, Yeah, oh sorry,
(21:07):
it was.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
It's a kiva. So Kiva is the nerdy, you're looking
one from the Lonely Island. Andy Sandberg and Drma Jorma's
like you've been a bunch of things too. Liam Neeson
is Lieutenant Frank Dreben Junior aka plays the son of
Leslie Nielsen, which for me growing up, I always thought
they were related because their name sounded similar. I was like, Oh, yeah,
but they don't.
Speaker 2 (21:27):
They're not at all the birthdays because I feel like
they're a lot closer.
Speaker 1 (21:32):
They probably are father and son. Pamela Anderson is in
it as the female lead. You got Paul Walter Hauser,
Kevin Kevin Durant, not the basketball player, but he's the
guy he played.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
He played the.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
Blob in X Men Origins Wolverine. Yeah, he's a character actor.
You see him in all the time he was in
it was like it was like the Strain or whatever
was the FX show about vampires like Parasite. Also was
the Monkey. He was the Gorilla king in the Latest
Plan of the Apes. And then other people. You gotch Pounder,
(22:08):
which I've never seen Cch Pounder and anything I've only
seen her been made fun of, and it's and then
it's always sunny in Philadelphia. She she plays like a
talk to like she sounded like that the entire thing.
I was like, I just have the always sunny thing
of this and you're perfect. You're nailing it right now.
Speaker 2 (22:27):
Family Guy, I think a comic con last week.
Speaker 1 (22:32):
But this movie if you're trying to like how she
could you view it or be trepidacious if you like
Family Guy, this is like Family Guy had a live action.
It's ted obviously very akin to that. It's seth MacFarlane,
so it makes sense. But it is very funny of like,
you know, dumb cop bumbles his way through everything. Essentially,
he's kind of the plot of the movie. Who was
(22:53):
the villain? It was Danny Houston was the villain. Danny
Houston is the villain in like everything. He he was
the villain and X Men Origins Wolverine against there's another
X Origins Wolverine connection there. Yeah, he's like the bad
guy and everything. It was really funny. The one joke
(23:13):
like he didn't expect it at all, and it was
about Panela Anderson. It was like, oh she does this
and like oh, and you're like they said it, it's fine.
I think it's very modern, modern appropriate, like appropriate for
modern times, and it's not them doing at derogatory terms
and stuff like that like they got away with back
in the day. It is very topical humor, which is
(23:36):
great because the villain is an Elon musk Ish type
to a degree, with electric cars and all that good stuff,
and it's just a good time. I think it is
a good balance because we kind of are in the
end of summer blockbuster season. You know, you got weapons
coming out I think next week, but like and Nobody
comes out, and Nobody too comes out in August as well,
but kind of every week going to the theater is
(23:57):
kind of a little bit dying down to a degree,
and I think this is a good like we made it.
Let's have some laughs and then go see whatever we
want when we want to see it.
Speaker 2 (24:06):
You know. Good. But I did the math. Nielsen is
twenty six years older than Liam Nees and so.
Speaker 1 (24:11):
He tech, oh yeah, no, that makes sense.
Speaker 2 (24:14):
But I looked up on Rotten Tomatoes. Do you know
the score? No, don't cheat you.
Speaker 1 (24:18):
I actually had to pull up too, so it's at
a it's that what.
Speaker 2 (24:24):
All right?
Speaker 1 (24:25):
It's out a ninety percent on Rotten Tomatoes, which is
really good based on ninety nine reviews. If I would
give it a score, I would for sure give it
like an eight and a half out of ten. I
know we've been giving a lot of eight and eight
and a half to a lot of movies recently, but
I think it is really like it's a good time,
like it's not. I don't think it's going to be
changing the plot of filmmaking for forever, which is what
(24:49):
we saved those nines and tens for us, for your
Across the Spider versus your end games and stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (24:53):
And I'll say we did come down pretty hard on
Drastic Park.
Speaker 1 (24:56):
So we did. We did have we did equalize to
the Draassic kout.
Speaker 2 (25:01):
But also we look at Rotten Tomatoes the fact that
right now ninety percent does's mean ninety percent good. It
really just means if X ten people none liked it. Yeah,
that's really just what it means. And the same thing
for Fantastic Four and The Superman both have eighty eighty
something percent on Rode Tomatoes means eight out ten people
like it. That's all it means, doesn't mean that the
rating is it's good. So I feel like we've been
(25:22):
on our movies with the rest of the society. Yeah,
I know that world won't make sense.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
Yeah, I don't. I don't think unfortunately, this is gonna
make a lot of money. But I do hope Paramount
made this that give us another one, I mean, not
a direct to streaming. Have it come out in theaters
and see what happens, because I think this one easily
is gonna get a lot of word of mouth. I
was like, yeah, you gotta see that. Like I said
that one joke having laughing for five minutes. Cody Rhodes
(25:49):
makes a cameo on and he's pretty good for his
two minutes. He's in the movie too.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
So also the things like Liam Neeson and Pammy Allison.
It might have something going on.
Speaker 1 (25:57):
Now maybe or they're just pulling the the Glenn Palell
Sydney Sweeney move they did for their rom com you
know what anyone but you, I think is what it was.
Speaker 2 (26:10):
We'll took Man Powell later later this year and running.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
I don't know. I'm not sure about that movie, but
figure it out.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
It looks it looks, it looks fun.
Speaker 1 (26:19):
Yeah, but overall, if you got the time, if you
got movie passed still because you know you bought it
for July and it doesn't expire to like August fourth.
Check out Naked Gun. It's a good time. You'll have
some laughs. I think anyone can really see it. It's
not just you know, a dude movie or a you know,
a young person movie. It's an anybody movie, fellow children.
(26:42):
And then when Scary Movie comes out next year, we'll
see what happens, because I think that one's gonna be
the true finger on the pulse of what a parody
movie can do, uh in this day and age, because
for most of us that are going to see movies, now,
that's the movie we franchise, we grew up with, so and.
Speaker 2 (26:58):
Like I'm to sit in the chat, this one will
be directed producing written by the Waynes brothers again because yeah,
like the first two, the first two and the last
what three weren't and that third one was okay? The
four and five are not.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
Yeah, I don't remember four and five like I remember
three to agree, but yeah, because it's funny too, because
I know, I think we've said this before with the movie,
but people like forget that for most people they knew
ghost Face because I was a from Scary Movie versus Scream.
Like I saw Scary Movie before I ever saw Scream
and so that's why identified with with that movie franchise,
(27:31):
the point where it got so that.
Speaker 2 (27:33):
Friend doesn't such such like a legend to it. That
Scary movie too. The fight between I can't remember her name,
and but the Lady and the Ring Girl was redone
in the Ring between Alexis West and Bianca Blair.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
Oh, Scary Movie three, Yeah, it was in the third one.
Speaker 4 (27:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (27:46):
Yeah, like those movies have lasting power and it's just
sad like after the Wayne's brothers kind of let go
of it it, it didn't continue that legacy.
Speaker 1 (27:53):
It was kind of like, yeah, and the funny thing
is Scary Movie too. I don't even know what movie.
They're mostly parody and I'm like, I don't even know
the movie this is, you know.
Speaker 2 (28:00):
I think it was like a haunting because that was
when we went to the house.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
Yeah, it was like a Stephen King book movie or
something that I think Owen Wilson is in. Originally I'm like,
I've never seen this movie.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
I think the third one is Signs mostly.
Speaker 1 (28:11):
Yeah, and the fourth one is saw I think in
or the World right, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (28:16):
The fourth one had had doctor Phil and shacking.
Speaker 1 (28:18):
Yeah, first man, what a time?
Speaker 4 (28:19):
What a time?
Speaker 1 (28:20):
Jav Perry said, it's The Haunting. Maybe watch it. Oh,
I've got some balance Avatar this week. In The Haunting,
I'm gonna be real scared by some blue people. But Kevin,
let's get it because we are talking about blue people.
Let's go on over to Reaction Theater and talk about
some blue people. Because we had to break down the
(28:42):
trailer for Avatar Fire. And so this is the third
Avatar movie to come out in theaters. When did the
first one come out? Kevin? Do you remember two thousand?
Speaker 2 (29:00):
Hold on, let's say eight.
Speaker 1 (29:04):
I actually don't remember two thousand and nine, and that
was the peak of three Actually, there was really the
start with three D technology really in movies.
Speaker 2 (29:14):
I remember it because of the time I was working
at best Buy and there was a there was a
company wide mandate to push three D in the stores.
So we had to go out in every store in
our district, go to the roof and replace a stupid
Direct TV satellite thing.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
Oh for the little glass test yepp Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:34):
A broadcast the World Cup in three D that year
at weatow Avatar on stores and I was hot. They
happened to it in the middle of the summer. Suck.
I hated it.
Speaker 1 (29:41):
I want to do it again, never again.
Speaker 2 (29:45):
It's terrible.
Speaker 1 (29:47):
So this is the third one. Remember the second one
wave water Count twenty three, I believe, I think it
was when I get ye December twenty twenty three. So
a little bit faster turnaround of us equal than the
way of Water. Because James Cameron filmed most of all
of them back to back, essentially within one city. Kind
(30:08):
of yeah.
Speaker 2 (30:09):
I believe he's filmed the CDI stuff for the number four,
but not the practical stuff if before, so he's kind
of doing them all at the same time.
Speaker 1 (30:16):
It feels like I think there's supposed to be five
of them right now.
Speaker 2 (30:21):
James Cameron. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
I saw a funny tweet the other day. It was like,
James Cameron has been spending the two thousands working on
the Avatar franchise when Titanic was amazing, and we just
want them to do more movies like that instead.
Speaker 2 (30:34):
Titanic True Lives is awesome, like come on.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
Terminator two, Judgment, come on Great Aliens, and like, okay, yes,
go back, go back, damn it. I know you get
rich and do whatever, But Kevin, your history with the
Avatar franchise? What do you like him? Do you not
like him? Anything of the above.
Speaker 2 (30:57):
I hate the first one, but I will admit it
because of the bias. I have a building stupid hot
roots for entire summer instarting the stupid reason. So the
second one I have a I guess a prejudice against so.
But I did watch it wasn't that bad. A little bit,
a little bit not an original movie, I will say,
but not that bad. The second one I actually really
(31:17):
enjoyed until the end and the kids just pissed me off.
They were just acting stupid and it really annoyed me.
Just listen to your parents and you've been fine. But
they really didn't pss me off. But untill I want
to say, like the first shoot two hours of that moviees,
It's actually a lot of fun, a lot of fun,
really really good. I'm thinking, though, this third one is
gonna be the one I like the most. I'm just
thinking personally, watched I watched. I haven't watched a whole trailer. Yeah,
(31:39):
watch some clips. I'm like, I think this is the
one I want to like. This is it third time shown? Uh?
For me.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
The first one I actually saw with my grandpa and
three D. Let me tell you that was a time
taking grandpa to see a three D movie. In two
thousand and nine, Andy Droyground said it best. The second
one turns into the plot of Free Willy. Halfway through.
I am going to prize everyone here. I don't know
because I've never seen the second Avatar movie. So I'm
gonna see it this Friday on a TV.
Speaker 2 (32:08):
See will.
Speaker 1 (32:10):
Not seen three Willie, but I've seen the family from
the Family Guy effect. I know about Free Willy.
Speaker 2 (32:16):
Coming to you to a Sunday News News Star episode.
Speaker 1 (32:20):
I got a lot of time this weekend, so I
got a lot of movie.
Speaker 2 (32:24):
We can watch all four of them, and right, four
of them?
Speaker 1 (32:27):
Oh no, Nintendo, Mike, don't tell me four of them.
I'm gonna watch four of them.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
You had a fourth will pic pix in the Park.
It's weird, the little like news and parking.
Speaker 1 (32:35):
All right, it turns into that what was that documentary?
Speaker 2 (32:39):
Oh damn it, what was that Blackfish?
Speaker 1 (32:41):
It turns into you watch all four then you watch
Blackfish and you have a great time. It's educational at
the end. But yeah, so I'm literally gonna watch this
trailer I haven't seen it, not knowing what happened in
the second one, and just probably figure out what happens
in the second one based on context clues.
Speaker 2 (32:59):
When you watch a second when you realize, hey, why
is that when I missed?
Speaker 4 (33:01):
Okay, all right, I get you.
Speaker 1 (33:05):
So on a count of three, Kevin, we can hit play,
enjoy and then break it down obviously. Okay, I won
a two A three.
Speaker 4 (33:15):
Pandora that Dragon thing, answer Dragon that game?
Speaker 1 (33:23):
Remember there was an Avatar video game that came out
last year.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
I never tell him.
Speaker 1 (33:27):
I was sitting in my class.
Speaker 4 (33:33):
Okay, the strength of the ancestors is here.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
Who is it?
Speaker 1 (33:39):
This take Sulie.
Speaker 2 (33:40):
That's one of these kids, Okay.
Speaker 1 (33:46):
To think of Nope, that's the gourney Weaver.
Speaker 2 (33:54):
Came in ish.
Speaker 4 (33:58):
Water. Oh human, that was jacksu We lived like this
baby in hate this December.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
Big.
Speaker 4 (34:23):
If there's something you can't do it, then you must
do it.
Speaker 1 (34:33):
Okay. That guy perfect saying why, He's like, oh, she's
got red on now and there's not a lot that Okay, get.
Speaker 2 (34:48):
Okay, Errol didn't I got something?
Speaker 4 (34:51):
No, no, no, that's fine. Yeah, he was thinking fire
and we will find another way.
Speaker 2 (35:05):
M hm.
Speaker 4 (35:13):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (35:22):
Exactly has no dominunia. Oh I like that.
Speaker 5 (35:37):
Okay, okay, all right, sure, okay, cool, I have new
idea what's going on?
Speaker 1 (35:48):
Uh? It is funny because like this we are earn
like a modern day of trailers, like clip clip clip
clip clip. You kind of know the whole movie by
the trailer this you're like, huh, like it's more concept
swear than anything.
Speaker 2 (36:01):
I don't think it's funny that everybody's upset that this
is called Avatar and he like kind of old trade
bark Ford. This last the last Airbender. But in the
first one we saw Earth. The second one was Water.
That's when we get the fire in their So it's
James Cameron really going somewhere new with this. Probably not,
(36:24):
but it's.
Speaker 1 (36:25):
Fine, It's okay, We're take it as we can. Yeah,
I mean cool. I mean obviously me seeing the second
one will help a lot. But I feel like not
a lot of people have seen, like like care about
this franchise. But hey, it makes money and people will
see it and it sells out theaters because people got
to see it in three D, and now, I mean
that's the smartest thing. James Cameron did is like, well
(36:46):
you want to appreciate it, you don't see it in.
Speaker 2 (36:48):
Three D three D, I Max, I mean what I
what I gather from this trailer. It looks like the
fire people don't worship the the Navi, the Navy goddess
or god because for reasons. So that's why it looks
like the bad guy has on the red paint the
thing red painless. She does in one of these scenes.
So it's gonna be basically they'll adopt him like the
(37:11):
other trib adopted Jake.
Speaker 1 (37:12):
Now, Kevin, am I gonna have to watch the first
Avatar movie to understand Way of Water?
Speaker 2 (37:22):
I would say yes, not for story, but get how
the world.
Speaker 1 (37:24):
Works, all right, fine, you get still in it.
Speaker 2 (37:26):
No, because like, for example, the big thing that jumped
out of the water against one of those ship is
like a whale thing from Way of Water, and all
the animals in the Avatar world can connect neurologically.
Speaker 1 (37:39):
With Yeah, because of the tail, because they get the
sex with the tail. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (37:43):
Yeah, it's kind of weird, but it's fine.
Speaker 1 (37:48):
Yeah, I mean it looks great. I mean I won't
knock it down for that. It looks phenomenal, but it
is like, all right, James Cameron, are you still reading
the poles in the room or you just do your
own thing.
Speaker 2 (38:01):
So even with the second one, when I watched it,
even though I enjoyed it and the DROs on the care,
I'm like sometimes I was like, water is pretty? I'm
not even pay attition was going on like that's pretty water.
Speaker 1 (38:13):
That's some pretty water right there? Where is that water?
I want to go to.
Speaker 2 (38:17):
Water right there?
Speaker 1 (38:20):
Any other thoughts, Kevin on this one.
Speaker 2 (38:22):
It'll make a billion and a half dollars and we'll
be like it was still be like why how how
does he keep doing it?
Speaker 1 (38:30):
We're gonna switch the normal view of the podcast, Kevin,
real quickly, because we're not done talking about an Avatar,
but Avatar the last Airbender in this scenario, exactly everything
changed when the Fire Nation attacked the coordinating droeground. Look,
little did you know we were going to talk about
both avatars back to back, like a transition or something.
Speaker 2 (38:50):
So and the cooler avatar.
Speaker 1 (38:52):
That is true, that the one we actually like, you know,
we want to see, we'll pay to see, We'll pay
to go to the concert. Uh, the other one you
got paid me to go to concert so.
Speaker 2 (39:03):
Avatar song.
Speaker 1 (39:03):
That's true, that is true. But interesting thing is So
Avatar kind of had a min like a mini not many,
but kind of a bigger presence at Comic Con this year.
The Last Airbender. I guess we'll say it like that
because they really are kind of hammering down, you know.
It is the twentieth Anniversity of Avatar Last Airbender this year,
and the creators of the show, the series are getting
(39:27):
ready to like go into production for the their animated movie.
So you know, remember they were originally on the live
action one that Netflix did. Then they said this isn't
what we wanted to do and pulled out. And so
that's like the live action Netflix one was pretty good,
you know, but it is just like they didn't get
the blessing, you know.
Speaker 2 (39:45):
I remember how that the conflict was that they wanted
to go off totally different way and Netflix was like, no,
play the hits you ay, did what work? Do that?
Speaker 1 (39:55):
We'll show you who you will show you so half
Paramount plus because I don't know if it's coming or not.
But so they had Dante Bosco, they only had I
mean the entire cast was there. Roger craiks like Noding Dee,
Bradley Baker was there. There we Go, who's the voice
of all the Clones? And Captain Rex and he voices
Opa and Memo and a bunch and secret Tunnel Guy.
(40:17):
At Comic Con they had a panel was great. You
probably saw it on TikTok everywhere. But what we didn't
realize we had a secret casting news that they really
didn't talk about even though the main cast was there,
because I remember last week it kind of went viral
that the cast of is it Beating it Up?
Speaker 2 (40:36):
What is that?
Speaker 4 (40:37):
Alan?
Speaker 1 (40:38):
The Alent two dick show called Oh Resident Alien was
there at Comic Con promote their up their season of
the show, and they got canceled right before their interview happened,
and like it was like the big moment of like
what the hell, why would.
Speaker 4 (40:52):
You do that?
Speaker 2 (40:54):
And I watched the kind of like the breakdown of
why it happened. It was just sad to see them like, yeah,
that's TV now, man, everything's a streaming model and those
like so good.
Speaker 1 (41:01):
Man, it comes off to na Filan's got the Rookie
go on the Rookie out today exactly. But we kind
of had a many one of this but I didn't
really tell you about it until the comic com was over,
and you know, Avatar, the Avatar peeps were gone. Because
Zuko is not going to be voiced by Dante Pasco
in the actual movie. It's gonna be voiced by Glenn Young.
Speaker 2 (41:25):
Oh, because I mean there's a reputation there because I'm.
Speaker 1 (41:29):
Sorry, sorry, Stephen, you my bad. He plays Glenn Stephen
you there you go.
Speaker 2 (41:33):
Specific islander and it's not just going to like, you know,
another person. So and also I feel like Dante Babasco walked,
so Stephen, you can run type of thing, you know
what I mean, because he's been in a lot of
stuff voice acting, and I mean, of course Rufio is
like one of the most popular things they ever did.
Had every kid in where I grew up wanting to
have red hair. So but so it sucks, but that's
(41:54):
going to seephing, you know. I'm like, oh, that's okay.
Speaker 4 (41:56):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (41:57):
I think the interesting thing for me is like, all right,
Dante Bosco is an adult now anyway, Like why not
just give it to him? Because I didn't. I don't
think a lot of people have realized this, Like it's
not most of the o g cast isn't gonna be
actually voicing the characters as adults. Uh So it's gonna
be like if you remember the Legend of Kora, like
it is gonna be different actors to play grown ups
(42:18):
of them, so you got used to it. But it
is just funny, Like all right, hopefully Stevenyune can do
a different voice, because I mean Invincible is just him,
you know, it's just his normal voice, so it looks.
Speaker 2 (42:32):
Him acting and he does a good job at it.
But I guess one of the one of the pre
trademarks of being a good votes actor is like being
able to use your own voice but differently.
Speaker 1 (42:44):
M m yeah. Like this weekend I saw the voice
actor who does Hercule. He literally pretty much does the
Hercule voice from Dragon Ball for all his characters. He
does one piece and he's a bunch of other characters,
but he just changes like intonation just a little bit,
so it's different.
Speaker 2 (42:57):
It's kind of like back in the day, still a
working money dust in Borkland kind of has the same
book to everybody, but it's different brought the same way.
Like Brian. If you listen to Brian Lewis's dad and
the Doctor is all the same, but it's different, you
know what I mean? So maybe I guess kind of
like the subtleties and it's key to doing it. Well,
I guess, yeah, but I can't do it. I can't
(43:18):
do it.
Speaker 1 (43:19):
I want to do it, but I just need to learn.
But pretty much in the movie, tentatively, I think it's
supposed to come out at the end of twenty twenty
twenty six. Let make sure the Last Airbender I was
an Avatar movie. I was gonna it was good. Take
me back to Fire and Ash Airbender movie. You know
you want to see this, you know you want to
watch it. Yeah, it's supposed to tendally come out twenty
(43:40):
twenty six, so it's gonna be called The Legend Aang
the Last Airbender. So we'll see what happens. Maybe this
comic con, he kind of view it as they were like, Hey,
this is the last tour for th g cast, and
then it's we're gonna be pushing the new peoples. They
did show off the new Avatar, the next Avatar, and
that looked cool. She got she only she got a
peg leg, which is cool.
Speaker 2 (44:02):
Because the legend of the a I think is what
it was original Carton was called Britain, wasn't called the
last name it's called that. It's interesting they kind of
brought that name back to the fort.
Speaker 1 (44:11):
It's Cannon. Now everybody's gonna uh it sounds like to
if the.
Speaker 2 (44:16):
New Avatar, with a New Avatar Earthbender, the world kind
of descend it back to tribalism because the spirit world
came out and the revolutions stopped. See that to.
Speaker 1 (44:28):
More and I do for an Avatar rewatch. I think
we're gonna do that. We're gonna watch both of them,
trying my daughter.
Speaker 2 (44:33):
To watch it for the longest times.
Speaker 1 (44:35):
You like, you will vibe with Cora, alright, yeah, you
will vibe of core.
Speaker 2 (44:40):
I think I'm gonna have to bribe her with roebucks.
I'm like, if you watch three episodes.
Speaker 1 (44:44):
You get Now here's the thing. If roadblocks can get
Avatar in the thing, and you can watch it through roadblocks,
you're golden.
Speaker 2 (44:51):
So you know what I'm gonna look at that.
Speaker 1 (44:53):
It has to be done somewhere, Someone's thought of it
for all for all your parents out there, kids.
Speaker 2 (45:02):
And advice and then speaking of having things and.
Speaker 1 (45:05):
Advice, Marvel has us and advice let's face it, So Marvel,
this is our last story for the day. Marvel did
actually release a full trailer for Eyes of Wakanda, its
next animated series, Marvel Animation, which literally comes out two
days from now, all four episodes. So it's wild to think, yeah,
(45:26):
that's that's literally right here, because it always felt like, oh, yeah,
it'll it'll get here, it'll get here. No, it's here.
Marvel Zombies is probably around the corner, and so is
wonder Man.
Speaker 2 (45:36):
So get ready originally with like the end of the month,
with like twenty something and they're like, no, do it now,
it is.
Speaker 1 (45:42):
Ready right, So as of rain now we pretty much know.
I haven't watched this trailer either. It is a prequel
series set I at least one hundred years before Black
I get maybe more than that before Black Panther the movie,
and then obviously the flashbacks in both Black Panther movies,
and it's essentially the ancestral line up to Ta Chaka
(46:05):
and T'Challa.
Speaker 2 (46:08):
Cool to see that. There was a cartoon a series
of while ago called The marvels Avengers, and the last
season dealt with Wakanda and it kind of talked about
all the different black Panthers, going all the way back
to the first one, and it looks like this one's
kind of doing what that did, but more in a
more fleshed out way. I want to say, it was
(46:28):
really cool see the history of Wakanda. Like, like I said,
I'm reading that book right now about the Empire, the
Collecting Empire of Wakanda. Basically Wakanda was exploring space in
like sixteen hundreds. It was crazy to think that nobody.
Speaker 1 (46:40):
What was going on is that it looks like a Panta.
So Ryan Kugler is behind this, and you know, obviously
he's not the showrunner and directing it, but he does
have his name stamped on it, so it does kind
of give it a seal of approval. I mean, Ironheart
had Cougler back in it too, and for the most
(47:00):
part it was decent. You know, it wasn't it wasn't
a bond division or a low key, but it was
pretty good.
Speaker 2 (47:06):
You can feel his fingerprints on the show through certain
parts as well.
Speaker 1 (47:09):
Yeah, so I would probably assume the same thing. This
is animated, so we'll see how it is. So we'll
play Kevin and we'll enjoy it. All right, let's do
it one, A two, A three.
Speaker 2 (47:20):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (47:21):
I like that beat off the rim.
Speaker 6 (47:24):
He's a kingdom of many secrets, of course, spies like
you and me the world Kevin, that Wakanda does not want.
Speaker 4 (47:49):
Know the cast.
Speaker 1 (47:51):
I just saw the cast list. Oh my god, you're
you're still gonna watch? Just don't look at the cast
hit okay to Akanda security be a ghost.
Speaker 2 (48:07):
It's sound like Bama. This is a pleas more alone.
Speaker 1 (48:13):
The time to act is now.
Speaker 4 (48:17):
The return.
Speaker 1 (48:22):
We fight for home for hell Yeah, iron fist, iron fist.
Speaker 3 (48:31):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (48:35):
Oh daddy that the I love it. I vibe it,
I vibe it, I vive it. I like it. I
want to. Binge wasatching on Friday. So Kevin thoughts, I'm
all into this.
Speaker 2 (48:55):
One of my favorite two of my favorite lords of
Lord of Marvel comics is the world outside of the
world we know. So we have New York and you
know the world. Then we also have Wakanda, we have
as Guard, we have the Seven Kings of Heaven with
iron Face. I'm always experienced. I love to look at
look how all those worlds have their own thing going on,
even when Spider Man's fighting Kingpin New York. So Wakanda
(49:17):
is one of those things where I loved, I love
to learn about. So this this has me hook line
a sinker. I'm in. I'm already in.
Speaker 1 (49:22):
Yeah, I think the vibe for this is cool. I
mean the plus side of it is only four episodes,
so like you could binge watch it all within two hours,
like watching a lunch break on Friday and pretty much
binge it all. I think this is this definitely seems
to me more of a cool you were you were
talking about the Black Panther in Space, essentially a comic
(49:43):
line or series. You're ready now. This reminds me of like, oh,
like you said, here's some side story of characters you
like and you want to be in that world still too,
and it's like, hey, here's a three issue run. We're
gonna do a fun story and enjoy it, you know,
kind of the.
Speaker 2 (49:59):
Same thing now from I'm assuming I'm gonna love this,
and I'm just now I want the same thing for
Asgard because I know there's there's story fifty hundred years old.
Let's see what Thorn was knowing, you know, fift hundred
years ago maybe kind of got to a little bit
with what if. But to see like a more like
Canada with it, and it could be animated. I don't
even actually animated. A couple of people do some voice acting,
and I would love to watch just as much as
(50:21):
I want to watch this.
Speaker 1 (50:23):
Uh so what We'll probably do a review of this
on Monday for sure. But Kevin uh second build cast member,
and he is the He is the voice in this
trailer Black Lightning's Back. Chris Williams voice is the male
lead in the series. I love Chris Williams man.
Speaker 2 (50:43):
I still He's my dark horse for Blue Marvel.
Speaker 1 (50:45):
If they ever do it, well, I can't now's this
character actually can Natasha Leone was Birdie and then she
was the lady in Fantasica infant anyway, I like or
I said it? Sorry Kevin the button So you like Birdie?
You said, yeah?
Speaker 2 (51:00):
Like Bertie she was cool and what if? I don't
care about that? Yeah.
Speaker 1 (51:04):
So if this gets Chris Williams closer to them for you,
which track record shows it could, so I'm not mad
about it.
Speaker 2 (51:12):
Chris Williams, he's a really good actor. I haven't seen
him anything in a while, actually nothing nothing. I will
seek out to watch her to say so. The fact
that he's in this makes me very very happy. That's
very very happy.
Speaker 1 (51:23):
Yeah, legend. Yeah really since Black Lightning hasn't been in
too much mostly like direct to like film movies. But hey, dope,
I'm excited. I mean, if you like that voice, Black
Lightning's back, and you just watched some snippets on TikTok,
it's like, hey, it's.
Speaker 2 (51:41):
Not a superhero.
Speaker 1 (51:42):
He was black.
Speaker 2 (51:43):
He said, this is full the streets black.
Speaker 1 (51:46):
What an intro off the rip that first episode We're like, hell, yeah,
let's go every time. We're still doing the narrated interest
to a degree.
Speaker 2 (51:54):
All right, man, remember that.
Speaker 1 (51:57):
Night watch that for We're like, well, man, be like
oh okay, actually, yes, that first season he was going for.
That was going for. Yeah, I think this is really cool.
This is gonna be more like a history of Conna.
Probably not gonna be a lot of like implied change
or anything from this, but it could be cool address
a couple of Easter eggs or something. You watch Black
(52:17):
Panther again and see like, oh, that was that thing
they explained in the animated show.
Speaker 2 (52:22):
Like the trailer says, well, kinda has a lot of secrets,
a lot, a lot a lot of secrets that even
some some people at a high up in heaven.
Speaker 1 (52:31):
What are you googling right now?
Speaker 2 (52:32):
You're going on, I'm on the wrong tip. There was
some news about Back Panther recently. I want to see
the news. I can't remember what it was, but yeah,
there's a lot of secrets about Black Panther. Well that
was I wasn't googling anything that was naughty. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (52:46):
I don't know what you're doing or you're talking to me.
It's okay, hand check, handchack. But yeah, the news. Why
we're also talking about this too, Kevin, I think you
just probably just saw is there's been early inklings about
what Ryan Cougler has planned for Black Panther three, and
(53:09):
Marvel is very impressed, which doesn't surprise me. I mean,
Ryan Cougler don't miss right now. Uh so it's not
a shockering like I.
Speaker 2 (53:18):
Think right now. The most I want to say story
director that's under under a certain age, it's probably Christopher Nolan.
Speaker 1 (53:27):
He's getting close to the Nolan's status.
Speaker 2 (53:29):
Yeah, yeah, because between just uh, she was the name
of the boxing movie Creed, Creed, Black Panther, Fruit Veil
Sinners even to a degree. You gotta reflect we do
a Black Panther two because that movie should have bombed
and still made almost eight hundred and I think sixty
million made.
Speaker 1 (53:49):
This guy knows what the heck he's doing. Yeah, you
can't really doubt any more. Yeah, I think it's smart.
Like obviously putting his name behind the stuff bolsters it
because you're like, all right, well, if Coogler approves it,
we're gonna go see it. But I'm gonna switch us
back to the normal view. Kevin, you can't too as well,
because I think we watch Thriller enough because there's not
a lot going on for a four episode of the show.
But it looks cool. I think it is a cool
(54:10):
visual to watch with the fam, you know, because it is,
you know, very animated. It's cartoony, but it is, you know,
kind of deep and could have some cultural stuff too
in there too, which is cool.
Speaker 2 (54:18):
Cultural stuff, but it also just have my my sweet,
sweet sweet and nerdy stuff too.
Speaker 1 (54:23):
Like, guys, I know we're gonna be prowowing this year.
We're gonna be whoever Chris Williams is this year. I
think you guys do black. You could probably find a
black lightning costume for cheap now, Kevin. My plan is
in one year.
Speaker 2 (54:35):
When gets old, I want to I want to do
Black Lightning and his daughters. I want to do Fanos
and Gomorra.
Speaker 1 (54:40):
And and she was her name, Nebula.
Speaker 2 (54:45):
I can't think her name, Nebula. Well, I love to
do that. I would love to do. I also love
love to do Black Panther with like you know them
as Doras and then me like on the throne.
Speaker 1 (54:54):
Guys, I'm gonna shave your head. Sorry, you're gonna do it.
Speaker 2 (54:57):
I have to. You're a young little g.
Speaker 1 (55:02):
Kevin. Black Lightning costume right now fifty dollars at Walmart,
fifty bucks.
Speaker 2 (55:08):
Fifty bucks and probably about a hundred pounds away. I
can do that.
Speaker 1 (55:12):
It's goals. You know, you buy it now? You got cold.
Speaker 2 (55:15):
That's why I like, I'm more comfortable with with with
the black Panther. I can just wear like a nice
a nice shirt and the black panther.
Speaker 1 (55:21):
Chain and yeah, you get it, you get you know,
you know what I go for. I put my helmet on. Okay,
we know we know what he is, all right, but yeah,
so all four episodes of that show come out this Friday.
So we'll probably talk about like I said on Monday's episode,
and then maybe depending on how news is because we
were in that sort of post comic con hangover right
now and August is kind of light on movies. Can
(55:43):
d twenty threes in September. We'll see what happens. Maybe
we'll do the state of video game adaptations as of
twenty twenty five.
Speaker 2 (55:51):
Things coming up, Like I said, got a Wars.
Speaker 1 (55:52):
Won Fallout season two, We got this December, which will
be dope.
Speaker 2 (55:56):
I forgot who's doing it, but somebody's doing a gold
Hushima soon too.
Speaker 1 (55:59):
Yeah, it is supposed to be ay think Chad Stahitski,
the John Wick director creators.
Speaker 2 (56:05):
Yeah, so there are a lot of things out there,
and games have become so cinematic now then I feel
like it is the people have been making movies from
books for long this time. I feel like that now
we're finally there now where people are going to mind
video games as well. Just saying Minecraft, which looks terrible,
a billion.
Speaker 1 (56:20):
Dollars mass effect, Where the hell are you? You've been
in development before so long?
Speaker 2 (56:24):
See Mathie. That's going to be interesting because I think
they're massive if they're in a no One situation because
if they do the narrative from the game and whatever
type of Shepherd they pick, it's going to piss off
a lot of people. If it was a dude, how
they you ignore women. If it's if it's a if
it's the woman shepherd, all is going to be w
I hate seeing the word, but it's gonna be woke.
(56:45):
So I feel like they're in a known situation with
that unless they pick a really good actor that nobody
cares about, like if Shepherd is I don't know, Frycell's
Howard will be fine.
Speaker 1 (56:55):
Also, I forgot to mention Twisted Metal season two comes
out tomorrow as this podcast recording. Uh that's gonna be
one episode a week. Uh, so we'll probably talk about
that and know what you're doing. Because Kevin didn't watch
season one. I like season one, But if you need
something to watch, you're pretty stacked this weekend. Sn't worry.
Speaker 2 (57:12):
It's definitely on the list. It's just like going a
backlag game, backlag. I have a huge show back lat
finished the Bear.
Speaker 1 (57:19):
And iin't even attempted this season. We'll get there. We
got a lot more be here. We got a lot
of stuff okay, cool, but let us know, are you
excited for Isaama Konda? Are you excited for Twisted Metal?
Who do you want to be either fem or male
chep for the Mass Effects series. We'll probably talk about
that next week, but you can keep the conversations going
(57:40):
at Infinite Underscore pods on the Instagram or x go
and give it to you coming next year, Yes, Selda,
And that has the two actors that are no buddies,
maybe Gannandorf. We'll get someone good, someone good. It could
be it could be he'll be Tingle or something like
that for sure, like Nintano's like we love Jack Black,
put him in everything. But also cooling is if you
(58:04):
got Amazon Prime right now, you got Twitch Prime, which
can help support this podcast actually and it's free, completely
for free. All you gotta do hit subscribe. You just
go to your Amazon Prime page, hit the yes and

and as always, my name is Hoodie, and you have
officially listened to this jam Pack Comic Con Hangover episode,
What keV Crisis on Infinite bo
