the Naked Gun movie that comes out this week.

but when I'm watching Raw every time I on rall said,

conundrum too over there.

You know, it's great of mine. So if I had

when I still get ads, maybe I'll think about it.

But we always start the show properly with what you're doing,
where we talk about the shows and movies. We've been watching, games,
we've been playing, lives we've been living. Because it is Thursday,
yeh boy gets to go first. And speaking of WWE,
I'm on the hype train now for Summer Slam this
week because it's it's two nights and Mora is gone

for a work trip for a week. So Teddy and
I we're gonna be watching Summer Slam in our pajamas.
Baby sounds great.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
I'll be watching it with my daughter who will be
eating away.

Speaker 1 (04:13):
I'm sure she's like, well, yes, you're your youngest daughter.
Your oldest daughter said, I don't have time for this.
I'm not watching this for two nights.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
My oldest daughter unless on a screen. She does not
care about wrestling.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
And I don't think she has a match, right, No,
she's injured. Yeah, so yeah, yeah, so a match unfortunately. Yeah,
SUMMERSLA the buildboard, it's all over the place. But hey,
we're all, We're all. It's it's one of the Big
four babies, so you gotta watch it.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
Yeah. When it comes to wrestling in summers Wrestlemaning, SummerSlam
Wrestleing is more like the all inclusive, like you can
just watch for a week and love it. Some Slam
it's more nerdy wrestling. I feel like some saying rumbled,
what the heck? Why do the three people in the ring?
Why going over the top? Why is that speeding the ring?

Speaker 1 (04:55):
What's happening? But in lieu of that, to prepare, I
did start w w N real last night. I got
through the first episode. Kevin. I'm assuming you watched it
so you can chime into whenever you want to talk
about it. And the first episode feels like an entry episode,
like oh, you know these things, you know, like let
me get in these these nitty gritty episodes with the
back half.

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Yeah, I watched it first three and it literally feels
like if you ever watched like an ESPN thirty for
thirty about like I don't know, the robbery between the
lady and the Celtics. It feels like that just for wrestling.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
And Hard Knocks at the same time.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
You know hard Knocks too exactly, because they take you
into the room where they where they're planning their matches.
I think they do a good job of revealing most
of them have not all of the magic, because in
a lot of later episodes they'll show you, hey, when
thinking about this for this match, and then they woud
actually show the match when they were talk about didn't
they may happen. Yeah, it's really cool.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
I think it's interesting. I don't know if it's a
one and donner, they could do it again. But I
mean ww's always constantly filming. That's why, Like Peacock had
that like WrestleMania documentary from like the nineties that was like, oh, yeah,
we've had this footage the whole time, so they realistically
could just keep doing this for foreseeable future. And it's
always like you get hooked on it because you see,

you see a TikTok clip and you watch like twenty
TikTok clips there, I might as well just watch the
episode at the point, just told.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
A friend that worked with ask me watching knowledge the clips,
like I watch the clips. Now, just go watch the show.

You will not regret it. But yeah, some More is
going on work trip so excited for it's her first
work trip for this new job she's been at since January.
They're going to Nashville. It's like a week and a half.
So just send her your energy out loud, dragon ball
and because she's gonna need it, because you like, a
three day work conference is fine, but a whole week
is a long time?

what I've I've never been. More unfortunately has only gone
for work trips. He's never gone for fun. So like

are like forty five, you know, some of them are, yeah,
thirty eight and it's like, here's more like, I'm not

gonna get blackout drunk in front of my coworkers, Like
they're not us. You know, we can't do that if
we wanted to.

She was drinking.

That's normal in our end.

As I'm down this bottle of tombs because I'm forty
five years old.

Speaker 1 (07:20):
Yeah, Bachelor's are there. They have the pedal cars and
all that stuff. We actually we have a good number
of radio friends there too, which is fun. So like
we ever did go, we we treated like royalty essentially
in front of.

Yeah, hell yeah, I love it. You and I always
we're always dming each other about.

The movies we see. Yeah, it's not you just check
on my kids. It's so nice. I'm like, Wow, you're
in a whole of the world.

I appreciateiate that. I appreciate. But then, uh more than
I did. Try a place I don't know if you
haven't near you, Kevin. It's called Jet's Pizza. It's like
a chain that's kind of like on the rise, a
little bit a pizza chain. It's Detroit based pizza apparently
like it's some of the people that worked for Papa
John's and some of the good the good people. I

made jets pizza as a side thing. We tried it
last week. It was really good. I kind of might
get it and be like, that's my food for the week,
because you're like, all right, let me just get a
big thing and that's all I eat for the week
the weekend.

Speaker 2 (08:15):
You know a Detroit style pizza place here in Baltimore?
Is it down there? Still spring to underground pizza? But
this looks a lot. This looks a lot better than that.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Actually, I will say the one time I went, didn't
realize they were doing it was an episode out of
The Bear. It was like, oh, if you text us
your order, we'll give you thirty percent off. They were bombarded.
It was that first episode of The Bear, and I
was like, there's the worst time to go. But I
bet if I go on a random Thursday, it'll be fine.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
So but I did find out through a mistake. Because
I'm deep into food TikTok right now my crown up session,
I didn't know that Leito Pizza is Maryland style pizza.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
I don't know the Square pizza.

The Square Pizza was sweeter sauce and like a biscuity crust.

Speaker 1 (08:55):

that they don't cut corners.

And then last thing gotta warre Ragnarack Update. I'm trying, Kevin,
I'm trying to beat this game. You got a weekend,
you got a whole week but the crater it just
sidetracked me this whole damn time. I was like, oh,
go left to go, continue the man story, follow the
dog and see where you go. And then all of
a sudden, here's this open area. They're like, oh, let

me do that, and oh there's like fifty missions here.
Oh god.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
I mean that that game is very deep off of
just the main storyline, which is amazing. This is really
it's a really deep game because you get lost in
because because like I said, I still haven't defeated all
the Valkyris from the first game.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
It was so much that last one, never beaten, never
gonna have thekers are okay. I've been okay with the
berserkers so far in this game.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
Beat one, I was like, I'm gonna do that again.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
Yeah, It's it's pretty much the same thing over and overgain.
You just have to have a good level. Whatever the
power level is. I guess they this crater area like
opened up. I'm like, there's a lot here. Like I
was like, okay, there's this big, big lightning ball in
the middle. That's how we see where I go. Let
me go left, not knowing if that was the way
or not. And then oh there's another left. Oh my god,

there's twenty missions this way. I haven't even gotten the
main thing yet.

I found a couple of dragons, So that's been fun.

It's it's a fun little level. And then once you
like get all your abilities on lock, you go back
there and find more stuff. That area.

I found a well, that's fun. There's two deer there.
I'm like, I can't do anything with the deer right now,
figure out what to do with them later.

And then there's a bell you can ring that can
turn it from day to night and yes, changed.

Which I don't love that. I don't like that mechanic
because I'm like, which one is it?

Which one the one I need to get? There's like
a chest that I don't know how to get to.
I'm like, somehow there's gotta be some way to get
to the damn chest, but I don't know how to
do it.

It's a cool game design, but just just like the
wolves and other levels, like this is cool, but man,
I hate going back and forth.

You know, like a trace. You know, we'll save Ragnrock
eventually one of these days, a little protect against Ragnrock
or whatever we're doing ragon Rock.

But but there's a raven over there. Let me get
that right, and let me tell you those ravens are traumatizing.
And like I know, I'm five years later this game,
but anytime I see something green, or I see a
shadow of a burden or kind of get it, kill it,

Actually, speaking of AD Awards a little bit of side
news Regidy the other day, the show runner Forget said
that the new show is going to it's gonna mirror
more than the last two games and not the first three.

Speaker 1 (12:05):
Yes, it's gonna be based on that as that or
the as Guardian I guess Norwegian whatever, yeah, yeah, whatever
you yeah, But I'm.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
Excited about that because I think it gives an opportunity to,
like I think I said it a while ago that
they should do that should be like only three or
four seasons, but like the middle episode should be all
flashbacks when he was literally just like.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
Yeah, cool, because because I think the other thing is
like in the games you kind of like only get
mentions of it. I'm like, yeah, you know, he was
Greek and all that stuff, and like it's it's just
funny because I'm at the point in that game in
the game now where it's like they don't have story
conversations give you anymore. So it's like, oh, here's just
fun backstory, random things we don't care about. We're going
to talk about in the boat and the.

One like when mir says, when you were a guy, yeh,
you can hold on lightning and fire, right, He's like, yeah,
I could you do it?

That's only the one I just had.

I am hoping though, after seeing him at the premiere
on Fantastic four, Batisa.

But that's a scene. And then I'm like, it kind
of has to be Batista, right, Like I feel like
he had that.

But I mean, remember, for the longest time we thought
he was gonna be Marcus Phoenix for the like because
he was in The God of War as five I
think as a skin and like, all right, cool, whenever
this gets turned into a show or a movie, it
would be good to go.

Speaker 2 (13:33):
They already dropped bottle Neck. That could have been like
The Fast and the Furies of like action movies, the
God of War series, a group of guys with guns
and one gets taken out that.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
That I mean that, and we should we I think
maybe next week, if we don't have a lot to
talk about, we'll just do the state of video game adaptations,
I think and just be like, how far is this?
Are you even close to it? Who do we want?
I think as the main person, you're like, what have
we got?

What's out now? And what's coming? Yeah, that'd be pretty fun.
I like that. But yeah, I really hope they get
him as Cradles in the future and that'll be fun. Far.
What else I've been doing, I'm watching, Like I said,
w W Unreal has been really, really good. It's making
me wish that, like I had tried to get into
wrestling a long time ago, because some of the scenes
in the writer's room and the writer talking and I'm like,
that was your idea and I'm stupid. I have better

really getting me excited again for this weekend's Summer Slam

picked it up at a good time, because the rumor is,
as this podcast recording, the Nintendo Direct is supposed to
announce the remastered for Red Dead two, which would be
an upgrade, free upgrade for you on PlayStation, potentially during
the Nintendo Direct, so you might have picked it up
at a good time. We'll find out no later this week.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
And already looks really really good. That's awesome, it's amazing.
So I'm playing that right now. I don't know when
it thaws out and stops being winter, but I'm really
excited for it because that's one thing I don't like
in video games. We go to war. I hate winter because,
like when you're trying to walk around in the snow
and it has to be real and you're tru it sucks.

I want to walk.

I want to walk for real. So playing that yesterday
at work, I did my first Orioles games I've been
employed in the station, which was Experience. There's a lot
of things going on that the I guess the laymen
just turns the game on and watch the game of
listening game radio doesn't know what's happening. It's a lot happening.

It's a lot going on, more than you think.

Cutting highlights and listening to the game cues and it's crazy.
But thankfully I went off out a hitch kind of,
I mean a mistick this morning. But we're good now.

haven't remember doing that much. Excited to hear your Naked

about the Naked Gun twenty twenty five, so let's break
it down. Also shout out any dragon did finally see

a wedding this weekend during Summer Slam, so to watch

I mean, unless that wedding involves Colt only members, I'll

case you didn't know, Naked Gun is based on originally
a TV show called Police Squad, which did start Leslie Nielsen. Nielsen,
who you might famously remember from Airplane probably most likely

maybe Mister Magoo like your boy watched that I thought
was The Naked Gun the entire time, but no, it
was a different movie that Disney made and it was
not good. But as a kid, it was great. He
danced a little turkey thing. It was fun. I went
on old deep dive. I'm like, what is that movie
that I remember? But it was based on the show
that got turned into a series of movies. I think

(18:31):
it was three movies, right, Kevin before.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
This, Yeah, nicka Gun, nicka Gun twenty two, in the
second Smell of Fear, nikod Gun thirty three, and the
third I can't remember what the tagline was.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
Yeah, And essentially there was O. J. Simpson was in there.
It was a knockoff of lethal Weapon and a lot
of the crime dramas. And there's a joke in the
trailer for this movie that it's like, yeah, f O J. Simpson,
but we don't give crap anymore, no homage to him anymore.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
O J. Simpson? What a what a guy?

Speaker 1 (18:56):
Yeah, But essentially it was parody movies at a time
that Airplane kind of went hand in hand, and then
obviously for our generation, you know, you had your scary movies,
you had your epic movie. You had I think it
was a date movie or love movie, disaster movie, Meet
the Spartans, and then there was the sports one was

(19:16):
the sports one, Sports Oh.

Speaker 2 (19:19):
A Clair Sealitary, it was.

Speaker 1 (19:25):
The Comebacks that was like the last like that was
the sports parody movie of that and Vampire Suck that
was That's another one that's like on Hulu that you
can They're all on like Hulu. You can enjoy it
to your heart's content. But we really were in an
era of parody movies. We had a lot of those,
and it was whatever came out during the previous year
would get roasted in the scary movie or whatever movie.

(19:46):
Like notoriously, I think Epic Movie was all about Narnia
and Jack Spear at the time, because when it came out,
those are the movies that were coming out, and stuff
like that comes back next summer, heck yes. And so
that's why I'm saying, this is this movie coming back
in twenty twenty five of the franchise is kind of
a signal flare of hey, parody movies are coming back,
which is really dope. Now, obviously you got to see

(20:08):
how how do you do a parody movie in twenty
twenty five, because in two thousand and five was a
lot different. You know, you can get away with unfortunately
a lot more and more, I guess is the best
way to say that. But I think this movie did
it best because it wasn't parodying specific things. It was
just being funny the whole time. So Eric and I

(20:29):
got the host that Kevin couldn't go, which is totally okay.
He'll probably see it on a movie pass or a
discount thing. But I laughed this entire movie, Kevin, and
there is one joke that made the entire theater laugh
for five minutes straight.

Speaker 2 (20:46):
I'm happy to hear that because I know Seth MacFarlane, McFarlane,
I'm from a family, creative family guy he's producing. And
the Lonely Island Squad. I'm not sure which one of
them doorma, which one combination they wrote it, So those two,
I feel like that that's a that's a that's compedition
for for very good comedy, not just like comedy for comedies.
That makes me very excited that you laughed, Yeah, oh sorry,

It's a kiva. So Kiva is the nerdy, you're looking
one from the Lonely Island. Andy Sandberg and Drma Jorma's
like you've been a bunch of things too. Liam Neeson
is Lieutenant Frank Dreben Junior aka plays the son of
Leslie Nielsen, which for me growing up, I always thought
they were related because their name sounded similar. I was like, Oh, yeah,
but they don't.

They're not at all the birthdays because I feel like
they're a lot closer.

Speaker 1 (21:32):
They probably are father and son. Pamela Anderson is in
it as the female lead. You got Paul Walter Hauser,
Kevin Kevin Durant, not the basketball player, but he's the
guy he played.

He played the.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
Blob in X Men Origins Wolverine. Yeah, he's a character actor.
You see him in all the time he was in
it was like it was like the Strain or whatever
was the FX show about vampires like Parasite. Also was
the Monkey. He was the Gorilla king in the Latest
