Speaker 1 (00:09):
Welcome back to the nerdy news you need to know
throughout the week on iHeartRadio and Bye cash services around
the world. Because my name is new format Hoodie and
I'm Vertical Kevin and you're officially listening to this now
hopefully more social forward episode of What Kevin Crisis on Infinite.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
I have like really cool initials now vkw.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
Oh virtual white.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
That's pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
There you go. You know, that's what we do. That's
what we do. But this is the best part of
our podcast. We love to evolutionize, that's not We evolve
and grow. And we've upgraded the podcast a little bit
so you can see our beautiful mugs more, you can
hear us talk and slash us more social friendly. So
we have to edit things for social media. It's a
(01:02):
lot easier than what we had because horizontal boxes ain't
the way to go on social media anymore.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
That is a Pokemon deep dive. So who do you
knew what that noise was?
Speaker 1 (01:13):
But yes, and a happy Pokemon Day to you too,
Kevin as well. Yes, but we gotta jamp back show
for you today quickly. We'll talk about what what got
announced a Pokemon Day. Not much really, hey guy, look
at Kevin right here? Did you buy a hole here?
Did you buy an ETB? These ones who gave me? Okay,
(01:34):
that is correct, I forgot I gave that to you.
We got ye you're looking for him. I'm sorry, no,
I just was like, wait a second, did Kevin buy that?
We're gonna go with that. We're gonna talk about Wonder
Woman game being canceled, get in a new double door, uh,
what you need to watch out for for Star Wars
the next few months, and as in the title, we're
gonna talk about our Daredevil Born Again predictions for next
week and kind of what it's gonna hopefully set up
(01:57):
in the near MCU future hopefully as well.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
I'm gonna have to find some time to watch their
double I think what I may do. My plan right
now is to watch Daredevil.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
Fight Back right now.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
I'm a flight back actually because they use with two episodes.
So I think what I'm gonna do actually is the
night it comes out, when we get back from the parks,
it's gonna be me and the hot tub on my phone,
just watching the Devil.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
It's gonna be chill in here and said, have a
typical guy with cigars Kevin with Disney Plus on his
phone over here just over here and a PEPSI what
to day, these dogs, this app, this app the Salt Bath,
just doing wonders.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
I bought these shoes today for Disney.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
There you go, There you go. Uh. But you can
see everything we're about to talk about today and so
much more at Infinite Underscore pods on the Instagram or
the X go and give it to you. Uh. Also,
this is a cool thing before we get to Kevin's
part of this on the iHeartRadio app. If you do
listen to a podcast there, we now have a talk
back button, So if you want to leave a message,
(02:54):
maybe share your opinions on some things we talk about,
you can leave it there. Just go to the iHeart
Radio app. Obviously listen to us. If you do that,
we'll definitely include yet whether you have certain thoughts about
an announcement that we haven't talked about yet, do it
up there, baby, We'll put you on the podcast. You're
good to go.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
You know what's funny my my radiotation, I'm working political talxations.
You have talked back feature two. It is not safe for.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
Yeah, well ours isn't mostly either. There's like one out
of one hundred is okay, we can use that one.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
You know ours is this is a lot of hate.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
Well, Kevin, here's the thing. Ours. Have you heard someone
make noises like they're having relations with someone? Because that's
what a lot of ours is like, we don't. I
hope this isn't what I think it is. Someone has
their phone maybe phone maybe by their stomach and just
gurgling like okay, maybe that's what it is or something.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
I haven't heard of that, but I have heard a
couple of people refer to people with Washington with a
hard R word.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
We are in twenty twenty five, but Kevin, because we
are in twenty twenty five. If people want to watch
this podcast see what we've added new to the podcast,
where can they go?
Speaker 2 (04:00):
So to YouTube dot com, slash if underscore pots to
watch our new format on the man or at your
own leisure, or if we watch it live twitsch dot
tv slash if underscore pots to see our vertical faces.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
It's a good time and it's always fun because with
this new format, Kevin obviously made himself taller than me.
Looking at her right now, he's like, well, I'm gonna
be an inch taller than make out because the old format,
I was always I don't you know, you're always tucked down.
Here's the thing, Kevin has had his camera pointed up
and he hasn't realized it till the other day.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
So now I'm trying to match match top frame with you.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
There we go there the top of where the hair,
where Kevin's hair would have been, is where the top
of the frame.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
So my HiPhones, instead of being here, would have been there.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
There you go there. Well, we always started the podcast
properly with what you're doing? Where We talking about the
shows and movies. We've been watching games, we've been playing lives,
we've been living. Because this Thursday, Yep Boy gets Ago first,
and I am happy to say I have ten minutes
(05:04):
left of Allen Wage remaster record. Nope, I have ten
minutes left of that game because yesterday I was playing
it and I had to stop it because we were
working out some stuff for the podcast, and I looked
up this morn like, how much the more do I
have to this is the last chapter? Looked up on
(05:25):
a video, was like, yeah, you got ten minutes with credits,
like okay, cool, just powered that tomorrow last night, but
I didn't. We're in the game, baby, we are literally
in the game. But on top of that, I guess
personal thing that we'll talk about Pokemon before we go
to Kevin. In case you didn't know, Party City is
(05:45):
closing or they're going bankrupt, so a lot of them
are closing. Essentially, your boy reaped some rewards today from
Party City because Kevin, let me go back here. You
don't know what. You don't know this. I bought three
costumes party City today that were about total thirty dollars.
Normally they're about fifty five dollars each.
Speaker 2 (06:06):
I tell you, it is sad when a business goes
out of business, but when you get those sweet clearance
discounts like oh my god, to belt you can't see.
I got that for fifty bucks, and just like one
hundred and ten the restaurants do.
Speaker 1 (06:20):
So. Costume one, we can now be thoor. Oh you
have me on already, and I have the mule there
from Thour Love and Thunders. That works, all right, we
can do that. And so mainly I just was like, hey,
I want to dress up for Awesome Con this year
because that's it's about a month from now. So like
let me go to party see if there's anything cheap,
though I don't really mind if it gets dirty or
scuffed or anything. I can also be, and this is
(06:44):
typical at any convention. I could be a deadpool there
go go, there you go, and then finally last cost
a lot uh somewhere here we go. I could be
any of the Guardians and the Galaxy.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
It's definitely cool. Actually I like that a lot.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Uh. Okay, Yeah, keep going, Kevin.
Speaker 2 (07:08):
I was gonna say, I don't know if they sell
his gun on that on that, but I know sometimes
if you go to certain comic book shops, you can
get that helmet pretty cheap.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
Now, well, Kevin, start about helmet. I might task you.
You're going to abcot this next week obviously, Just just
throw me a picture of how much the star Lord
helmet costs. You know, no problem, I'll I'll easily venmo
you for it because I cannot make a costume out
of it.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
I will do that and I will fanex the two
years so you can get before I get back.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
But yeah, so that was fun. Check out your party
city ours have. The one by work had a lot
of costumes and pretty much all of the party section like,
which is every other Aisle minu sty Halloween section was
packed with stuff. So if you're like doing wedding stuff
or you have a baby shower or anything like that,
check that out because all of it was like that
was all like eighty percent off. So you went there
(07:58):
for a qan.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
Birthday party for the blue stif a good amount left still,
but Bluely is very popular, so I don't I don't
think they would have that if they were still in
business traditionally anyway.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
Yeah, so your always made vary by your party seat,
but check it out nonetheless. And then just a quick
update on Pokemon Day. The main thing is I got
announced today We're Pokemon Champions, which is a game that's
coming to your mobiles. So you have another Pokemon app
on your phone most likely if you already have Pokemon
Go and Pokemon TCG pocket, it'll it's essentially like Pokemon Stadium,
(08:28):
and you can import your Pokemon from Pokemon Home, Pokemon
Go and all those into that game. So it's pretty
much Pokemon Stadium vised. But you can do it on
your phone or you can do it on switch to
which is probably when that game will a game will
actually come out.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
They show I didn't watching I have to do today?
Did they actually show how the gameplay will work? Like
how you know?
Speaker 1 (08:51):
They really it was more of a this is the
ad of what's to come. But it did look more
akin to Pokemon Stadium, where it is tradition, or it
might be one v one, maybe a two v two
and it's all right, pick the option then fight, So
it will be the first time on your phone you
can do that, because nowadays it's Pokmon Go. It's tap
tap tap tap tap tap to fight.
Speaker 2 (09:10):
Yeah, because I would love it in some way. This
might be impossib because it's too different people. But if
you could import the Pokemon you've already called a Pokemon Go.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
You can. So that's what you can do. You have
to you have to import them to Pokemon Home and
then home will go to that awesome because.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
I've been a lot of I have a lot of Pokemon.
I haven't played it in a while because I actually
need new Pokey balls and buy them.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
Hey Disney, a lot of poke stops just saying.
Speaker 2 (09:34):
Oh, you know what, I might have to spoilers on that.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Yep. Just if you're bored. If you're bored and you
guys are like waiting for a ride or something. Just
let me see why I can get real quick before
I go on for her. Yeah, that is that'sh Pokemon
legend z a guy an official. It's coming out late
twenty twenty five. I wasn't too impressed by it, but
brother John and I kind of you know, a lot
of people my age harken to wiring three original games
(09:58):
on the switch in virtual cause or something I receive
because they know people are still buying up the wazoo
the cartridges, and that's Pokemon games are kind of a
main staple of retro game shops everywhere you go. They're expensive,
you know.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
Still because Leah has no interest in it, but I have.
She has a cousin. I'm trying so hard to get
him to play the original Pokemon game. He has something
to do with it, because.
Speaker 1 (10:21):
It's not like man slow walking, slow walking kills. He
has a switch.
Speaker 2 (10:27):
So I'm like, I'm not gonna just put this on
his switch, and I give him this old looking you
know game boy play with it because the game board
is goal. I'm sorry, we love it, but we know
what it looks like on the switch and just downloaded aff.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
Pokemon games are so expensive now that your boys in
this pouch, your boy sits on a nest egg that
if I pass away, more's covered for at least like
two months or something with rent or something. Something happens.
Rent is paid for two But just sell the crisis set.
You will at least be able to live in our
apartment for three months out of that my stuff. Okay,
(11:01):
the whole woman's insurance policy. Baby, you thought it was
a waste of time. I'm protecting you in your future.
The same thing with something like that. If some magaz yeah,
set the helmet so the megazorts tell it all. I
don't care. I'll just put a picture of me next
to my stuff, and that's all I care about. I'm gone.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
I have my heavenly megazins.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
Now I'm good. Heavely megas. All the megazodes I could want.
They're all white and they got angel wings on them.
They can all fly every brain here's the white range.
But Kevin, that's what I've been doing. What have you
been doing, good, sir, I've been doing the last minute
preps for Disney. Oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:43):
At seven o'clock I was able to start purchasing lightning
lighting passes, and I freaked out because I didn't remember
till seven thirty, like, oh no, pulled up at seven thirty, nervous,
and everything's already gone. But I was able to already
secure a few lightning passes. So from Magic Kingdom we
do have our try lighting passes for five o'clock.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
There we go, Oh, that's gonna be good because if
it's sun sets probably around then too, you might get
the lights on stuff.
Speaker 2 (12:07):
Yeah, exactly, So I got pretty cool. And then we
have our lightning paint lanes for Guards of the Gallaxy.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
Yeah, great, perfect, love it, love it. No virtual queue
for you unless you want.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
To us unless what Yeah? And now so now we're
we're in negotiations with because Tiana's Bayou Adventure was not
in lightning lane single riders, it's only a multi pass.
It's now we're kind of like, we want to do
that instead because I don't want to ride, I don't
want to get wet, because they're not it's whole thing.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
And then anything else in Resistance Update was probably sold
one of I'm gonna check back a few times.
Speaker 2 (12:40):
I feel like that's that's that's a misnomer because even
sometimes that's tan by line. It could be long, but
sometimes it can be as short as like sixty minutes
some days.
Speaker 1 (12:48):
Well that's if you want to wait an hour in
line too. Yeah, I will say, uh. Pro tips if
you're like Kevin like that where you didn't get something
you want, it's called fiddle faddle. Your boy watching is
you know Mammoth Club on YouTube and they call it
fiddle faddling where you just swipe the app down to
refresh to see if something pops up. I would say,
if you're on a trip like that with Kevin, you're
(13:08):
planning ahead, just keep doing that and it might something
might pop up and boom, you're golden.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
So and we also so contemplating maybe even getting the
multi pass for Hoible suits as well, because Stinky Dog
dashes in the multi pass and we want to be
a ride that as well, because last time she wrote it,
she didn't have a good time, and we would like, okay.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
Three years later, you can sit in the right now,
You're good now right.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
And Animal Kingdom, we're not sure if we're going to
do that either, because the longest waiting that park is Avatar.
Other ones aren't terrible because anam King is more of
an experience in a park.
Speaker 1 (13:42):
It's more of a zoo experience. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
Yeah, So talking about that tonight as well. But I
also went down to the under Armour campus today and
Baltimore need to get some new shoes, and I remember.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
Some Disney shoes.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
My wife and my wife and sister and my daughter
we all wearing crocs. I'm like, I can wear crocs,
but I'm not wearing Cross Disney because peop stopping my
feet all.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
The time and I hate it. Oh, look that Mike's.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
Wanted to do Disney on her birth On your daughter's
birthday turns five grand flights.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
Guys, great time there, you know, And and Nintendo Mike.
Definitely go back like probably like the past month of
episodes because we've kind of been teeing up Kevin for
success at Disney. So like if you need to like
learn some tips and trades, definitely go back and listen
to that.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
Also, Disney flu flu block all theirs one net you're
your best friend to figure out how.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
To do Disney or we decipher that for you. Don't worry.
That's what we look at.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
And then so went down on on Armour campus and
I haven't been down there in a long time. With
the dinner, we developed that entire area.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
Now, oh yeah, it is a whole thing. Yeah. I
was like, whoa.
Speaker 2 (14:42):
I'm like because you walk in onut our campus only
like a big stadium.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
It's like it's kind of cool, like this has.
Speaker 2 (14:47):
Gotta I want to be dire every day. But walked
in there to get my my shoes because I remember
when with Disney in twenty twenty, your twenty twenty, I
had to have a pen on arm shoes and they
was so comfortable and I wanted to get them again.
Since since then, they've they've been torn to shreds. So
I want to get another pair.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
Well, just make sure you break them in, don't you
don't break them bust them out with day one on
your first day of Disney, and then you're gonna be
I'm wearing.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
Them tomorrow to work and then so I have to
run around and do on Saturday. I'm Saturday, but uh,
I got to be in like a Disney blue.
Speaker 1 (15:20):
There you go. Now, are you guys doing matching family
shirts or anything? Or now we may when we get
down there. Oh just buy the same shirt. Yeah yeah,
but not not.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
Going forward because it's funny. It was so easier to
play Disney Trips when you only had one kid.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
Now it's two kids, and you gotta get two.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
And the new kid now likes to walk everywhere and
scream down the hallway. So everyone, every one, I wanted
us to scream down allway.
Speaker 1 (15:43):
Cart off steps, get off the steps now. And this
is pro advice from Mama Hood aka my mom is.
And she told me this because she listens to podcasts.
She said, make sure you or any of your family,
probably your wife, get a photo of Lee guiding Kira
down Main Street. Oh it's happening. It's a good photo.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
I'm gonna do this in a very ghetto way. I'm
sorry because I don't have it the asset load it
in to obs, but I have a video on my phone.
I'm sure you hood you right here. It is a
video of Leah taking her first steps.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
And there you go. Now I gotta redo it again.
Speaker 2 (16:21):
You know, we're gonna do a side by side now,
so it's gonna be this one on the side by
side Kira doing the same thing, and then we'll have
the whole handing thing going to the castle as well.
Speaker 1 (16:30):
There you go, all that's happening.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
I don't care what they want to do first, like, no,
we don't miss first.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
And also a final Kevin knows this one already. A
good pro move is you can still get those the
photographers around the parks to take photos of you, but
not have to buy the photos. Just ask them to
use your phone and they'll do it for you for free,
which is a weird thing because it means.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
You go to the other parks and like, guys, people
are like, like the photo rides basically, and sometime I
take take a picture of it, they're like blocking it.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
They like, you can't do that. No, no, He's like, whatever,
do it. I'm kidding. We're like, if you bought fast Pass,
you got your ride photos for free. And you know,
we know people can't afford fifty dollars a photo, you know, like, I.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
Know you paid two thousand dollars for your resort. You
paid no, two thousand dollars your tickets to.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
Get in here. So we'll get someone nice to hold
your photo your phone and take photos, you know. But
it's really it's up to you. The quality is up
to your phone. That's the other thing too.
Speaker 2 (17:22):
So about about six dollars, two rows and eight dollar popcorns.
So yeah, I'm taking a picture of the phone. They're fine,
iced want a cake. But yeah, so we are in
the finally throws a Disney so I'm really excited. It
kind of hit me this morning.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
I was like, well, yeah, dude, Hell yeah, Kevin. There's
a reminder. Kevin will be on Disney vacation for about
a week and a half, so then we'll be doing
solo dolo. But don't worry. Well we'll fill in for you. Kevin.
I have a guest wants to come on already.
Speaker 2 (17:49):
Know I have a request. Maybe it's a quarter early,
but keep me on this show with you because I'm
tired of him duck in this.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
It's spent seven years. He doesn't and he doesn't know
how to work discorded and I can, Kevin, I can't.
I don't have I can't discords a figal mistress. We
are you and I both know that I don't. Both
of y'all don't live too far from the studio. You
just come back, roll back up.
Speaker 2 (18:10):
You know I'm bena do a little quick episode.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
Let it be long.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
I'm tired of him ducking us. That's what I'm tired of.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
Well, yeah, well that's that's the thing. Else, Kevin, That's
all I'm in. We're in Disney mode. There you go.
H what time is your flight? Uh? Sunday? Are you
guys leaving early fifty five? Hell yeah, I get there
reported five forty five.
Speaker 2 (18:32):
Yeah, we're going to dc A too, so it's gonna
be a long ride. My wife was to get the
hotel sy and I was like, we have already.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
You guys can stay here.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
We can sleep on the floor.
Speaker 1 (18:43):
We have a queen bed, so you two kids bed.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
I don't think you want to hear u Kira's predator
scream at four thirty when she's hunger.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
It's that's more of a you guys' problem. Will be
over here where our room is. You guys will be
here where the door so you can quickly exit out
the gift shop, the baby. Just take melotone in that night.
(19:12):
Let's get on into it. It is time for the
news and first things. Wonder Woman game. Yeah, that's that's
dead dead in the water. I mean, you gotta figure
because we saw that game what which four years four
years ago? Technically four years ago it was it was
(19:35):
game Awards twenty one, and.
Speaker 2 (19:38):
It looked cool, had a cool little cover with the sword,
like this is gonna be great, and then nothing else
ever happened. I'm actually worried about two other games like that,
Like we heard about the Black Panther game a long
time ago, and we heard about the Black Panther.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
Game mm hmm a long time ago. And there's that,
And there's that Iron Man game we heard about two
years ago.
Speaker 2 (19:59):
There was a a leak recently about the Black Panther game,
but leak's a leaks. That doesn't mean they're still doing it,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
There's also that Star Wars Eclipse game waiting for that one.
Oh yoh, yeah, I forgot about that one too. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
So, I mean it's sad to hear this because that
has been a decent DC game in a while since.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
Really, if you think about it, some will argue Arkham
Gotha Knights was all right, it was okay compared to
what we've got with Suicide Squad, it was okay, you know, was.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
That was a disaster. I don't often hope people lose
their job. Somebod should at least riten up for that game.
Speaker 1 (20:36):
Yeah. So pretty much. In case you missed it, Warner
Brothers has canceled the Wonder Woman game. In doing so,
they've also closed three of their studios. W B Games
is kind of under the umbrella of Warner Brothers, uh
Discovery or whatever it's called now, so like they own Max.
WB Games is something they owned, DC Comic, all that
good stuff. But on top of cancering the Wonder Woman game,
(20:59):
it's down three studios, which include Monolith Productions, the studio
that was going to make The Wonder rooman game and
also made the Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War
games Player First Games, which gave us Multi Versus two
years ago and last year technically because it was yeah,
and w B San Diego. According to Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier, essentially,
(21:23):
it looks like the studio is really taking things downside
downside and saying, hey, we're focusing on franchises that are
Harry Potter, Mortal Kombat, DC, and Game of Thrones. No
mention Lord of the Rings there, which is interesting. So
but it's like, we've been focusing on DC and you
had the Harry Potter game, so what are you doing different?
Speaker 2 (21:43):
It did laugh someob what's this thing now? That's one
of my favorites.
Speaker 1 (21:48):
Oh oh yeah. Aaron Gyles has a question, is the
Wolverine game still ago? That is still a go? Thank
god it is doing.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
Thank god that is coming. But even then I need
something soon to say, hey, expect it. I did like
a quarter release. It's coming out in fourth quarter twenty.
Speaker 1 (22:03):
Summer game Fest. We'll get something on a mooring. I
had a feeling. I have a feeling like it's time
to get another teaser trailer at least all the Spider
Man DLS was canceled, but essentially yeah, the Wonder Roman
game was supposed to involve Monolith's Nemesis system, which if
you played the Shadow of Ward or games, you could convert.
(22:23):
Instead of killing enemies, you can convert them to be
your allies, and there was a whole ranking that if
they killed you, they moved up the ranks. If you
killed them, you moved up the ranks as well. And
the Wonder Woman was supposed to be allies, so if
instead of killing an enemy, you'd be like, oh, your friends,
it's kind of the same thing, a little more friendlier
than killing orcs, you know, But this all comes hot
(22:45):
on the heels. Obviously, we talked about Suicide Squad failing
last year, we did kind of on the opposite side
of the spectrum for success, talk about Harry Potter Hogwarts
Legacy doing very well. Uh, it seems like we're WB's
shifting more towards getting that type of game notoriety like
a Hogwarts Legacy, which did very well, very very so,
(23:05):
over thirty million copies, which for any video game is
a lot.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
That Really it was on sale in a position store.
I think that's still make it eventually because I don't know,
its like it's a fun game that like even if
you're not too like I know about Harry Potter, but
I don't like I don't know depore about it. That
could be a game of the kind of like no
know what, let me actually let me not read the
book with the audio.
Speaker 1 (23:23):
Yeah, you like the with the Harry Potter game, and
if it is on sale, totally get it because it's
a good time. Yeah. Is it's very welcoming, like okay, cool,
I know what house I'm in, but I don't know
all the other like my wand my patronas and all
that stuff. But you can't like so you can pick
something random, or if you've done all the potter More stuff,
you can put what you had on that and put
(23:43):
that in the game.
Speaker 2 (23:44):
Finally, yeah, Potmore says, I'm point, I'm a raven claw.
Speaker 1 (23:48):
Well, Kevin has to be graven clo and.
Speaker 2 (23:50):
I mentioned in the movies the books on I'm pretty sure.
Speaker 1 (23:52):
Well you know you got, you got chow and you
got little Love Curd, huff upoff. All we got is
damn Cedric Diggree over here. Okay, haven't you can back off?
Technically we have newts Commander, but I don't know how
we still feel about Fantastic Beast movies anymore. That franchise
lost me. I was okay with the first one.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
The lost me in the second one with Johnny W's like,
we're going to use his manage to fight Hitler, I'm like,
what we just went?
Speaker 1 (24:17):
We just went to have total where this movie goes.
That's what happens when they brought to America. They're like,
all right, kinda do something now. American loved war. But yeah,
it's a sad thing ultimately about the studio. We do
know rock Steady is kind of refocusing on a new
Batman game we talked about potentially it should be an
Arkham Beyond or whatever, the game of Batman Beyond type game.
(24:41):
But don't expect anything from w B in the near future.
And it just sucks because it could have been a
good thing. You know.
Speaker 2 (24:48):
Dude, the former head of rock Steady studio that has
his own studio, we're trying to do another type of game.
I remember what hero he's working on.
Speaker 1 (24:53):
Though, Cefton Hill, one of theft and Hills one of them.
They that's the thing. A lot of the team from
Rock Cities left, so if you want that rock Steady
charm of the Arkham games, you might have to hire
him back. You know.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
I thought about games too, that they take so long
to bet it's like a movie like we hear about,
you know, Fantastic four last year is out in July.
Speaker 1 (25:15):
Yeah, to turn around so long, and that's the thing.
And I think we briefly mentioned it Monday, but James
Gunn did meet with the WB Games to do this
before they canceled the One Room and uh saying, hey,
we want to try to get things in line video games,
and like you said, movies don't really work on the
same timeline. So it's a little impossible to say, Oh,
we're gonna make a dark Side game and people hate
(25:40):
dark you know, five years from now, and then people
hate dark Side, you know in two years.
Speaker 2 (25:44):
You know, they already killed him two years ago were
talking about.
Speaker 1 (25:48):
You know who he is. No, I don't really, not really.
I didn't want I didn't wantch Snyder cut. We did,
but that's okay if you didn't. But on the flip
side of w B, we did get our first look.
We're just gonna really talk about it because it's just
an image of the Green Lantern show lanterns on Max
it's officially started production and all that good stuff. And
(26:10):
Aaron Pierre we know is John Stewart is move Fussa.
I haven't watched any of the Jennifer Hudson Show, but
I watched those dances down the Hall, you know, I do.
Pierre Stewart is that green lantern. Kyle Chandler is Hal Jordan.
The image you can see at Infinite Underscore Pods. It
has them in normal looking street clothes. The only one
(26:32):
exception is on Kyle Chandler's ring finger. Kevin is what
middle finger? Yes, green ring. I'll tell you what.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
Though, well, I look at this picture and look at
I wonder how I'm married because that man exists, and
I don't know why my wife chose me.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
Maybe she says Kevin White is move fussa god.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
Like I'm not saying don't marry on the people. I'm
just saying, wow, that that is.
Speaker 1 (26:59):
A attractive attractive I will never be He's very attractive.
And you're like that man voiced sco uh, though I say, scar,
this is in the damn song. They didn't get this
man to play move the base as a lion, good
lord want to sold more tickets. But that's really cool.
(27:21):
That's still slated to come out late next year. I
would assume you might get a trailer by Comic Con.
Most likely.
Speaker 2 (27:31):
TV shows for trailers are different because they feel.
Speaker 1 (27:34):
So much you have something at least to put in
the trailer. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (27:38):
So, and then even when sometimes the TV shows come out,
they're not even done yet. They're kind of just being
released as they're getting finished. So that'd be kind of cool.
And then I'm interested to see how they pull off
this two conective feel of it though that that's what
it has been kind of intrigued.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
Yeah, I think I think you also, if that's the
vibe going for you have to balance it with like,
all right, but making a comic book because people at
first with the Penguin like Okay, this is we're really gritty,
but we really liked it by the end of it,
and then get to be like you have to find
the balance of especially when it is a green lantern
where it is space and projections out of a ring,
(28:12):
balancing what looks it's realistic and what is comic bookie
cheesiness a little bit.
Speaker 2 (28:19):
To a degree, because I mean it's gonna get cheesy
because at some point in the in this series, one
of them is gonna be under Supreme.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
I don't know Aggression, Sinestra. We know Sinestra is in it.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
So and Nigger. He wanted to say in Brightest Day,
in Blackest Night, it's going to be cheesy.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
But I'm like, yeah, good Joy, don't look proud of you.
Where are my power green lanterns? La God. Kevin's like
in his house, like your kids are doing homework. Yeah,
I mean I'm doing it with them. I have a
hand in the air ring. I lost him. I don't
(28:55):
get anyone go to Barnes and Noble. It's always in
the checkout section right there. But speaking of Warner Brothers,
let's do flip on over to the Harry Potter Wizarding
World of Harry Potter. It's not Universe. Gotta get get
it right with the with the names is John Lithgow,
who we did talk about a couple of weeks ago,
was rumored to play Dumbledore. Did confirm with Friend the Podcast,
(29:18):
uh uh, screen the Screen screen Rant that he is
confirmed to be the new Professor Dumbledore for the HBO
Max Harry Potter series.
Speaker 2 (29:31):
Interesting guy, mm hmmm, because if you look, if you
look at filmography, he's done a little bit of everything.
Speaker 1 (29:37):
To the comedy.
Speaker 2 (29:38):
He's an action I mean he was in Penet of
the Apes, The Rock from the Sun.
Speaker 1 (29:44):
Like Lord Farquad. He's the voice of Lord Farquad. It
goes everybody.
Speaker 2 (29:51):
What it tells me about him as an actor that
he commits to whatever he does. So with that, I'm like,
this might be a very very under like undercover great
choice for double Dore.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
Yeah, so Friend of the Podcast, Liam Crowley actually got
to interview Lift Gal. It's for for Conk. He's in
Conclave that the Pope movie. That's not made for a
bunch of oscars. Oscars this weekend by way, just interview them,
and it's always usually had an end of the interview, Uh,
you ask ask a different question that's not about the movie,
just to see what you can get for new info.
(30:25):
Liftgu did say that he's accepted the role, which he
says will find the last chapter of his life. Because
but he said, by the time this show is over
seven seasons or whatever they do, he'll be eighty seven
by the time it wraps up.
Speaker 2 (30:38):
So exceptly nine. Now he's not a spring chicken.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
Yeah, and that's if they film every season yearly, which
it's max so not necessarily. Look, look, listen to this though,
Pitt's perfect three. You know what I mean, how I
mentioned mother even in an episode Amy's dad and that
I forgot about that.
Speaker 2 (30:56):
That was a whole dexter. He was an Interstellar, he's
a dead home with Bill Pharaoh.
Speaker 1 (31:01):
I mean, he's kind of done so many different things
that I'm like, this dude is probably gonna kill this. Yeah,
you do so much different stuff. I think the dumb
thing for him is obviously like Lord Farquad and the
stuff we said, this is a big like I know him.
He's my dumbled Door. I can't wait for us to
rank the Dumbledoors, you know when by the time the
show comes out, hopefully next year then or twenty twenty
(31:21):
seven early, to be like, all right, what is your
better Dumbledore? Now he seems more like a middle He
could be balanced the line of the first dumble Doore
and Michael Gambit Dumbledore of aggression versus a little bit
of soft spoken. This we'll see.
Speaker 2 (31:39):
I'm still excited to watch this as more of a
Harry Potter Novice kind of get get all my lore
back and then answers to go back to the movies.
Speaker 1 (31:48):
So for me, this is this is this is gonna
be cool. And then for my daughter this will be
her double door.
Speaker 2 (31:52):
Like she hasn't seen the movies yet, so this will
be very interesting.
Speaker 1 (31:55):
And I think the cool thing with the show is
it'll really be Max's first as far as I know,
big young adult series that everyone's watching, because like nowadays
we talk Penguin, we talk Last of Us, White Lotus,
those are all adult oriented really like they don't have
a young like they have a Percy Jackson, you know,
(32:15):
or something something like that that will get but that's depressing, Yeah, euphoriat.
That's really for the adults, you know, for you know,
you're so it'll really be interested to see how, like
on a max budget, like what they do and like, yeah,
how they balance the lines.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
Yeah, a max budget, that's key r IDEA. A max
budget is different than even a Disney Plus and a
prime budget. Max budgets are different.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
Yeah, and you know the main thing people are like, oh,
put the small things of like like Peeves, which is,
you know, the polter Geist that's in He's in the
video games, but he was in the books but never
in the movie, so like stuff like that. They'll probably
try to include obviously the pad things out where they can.
But I do expect you know, seven maybe eight season
each with ten episodes, most likely jam packing things. That
(33:04):
would be interesting to see how much they jam packed
versus what they spread out during the season with the
books too, Okay, and then that's what's gonna play Haggard.
Yet they haven't announced Lift is the first big casting
Obviously they've I think they've done like back end casting stuff.
But I would also suspect, you know, kind of con
(33:26):
time is probably when we're gonna get more of that
info and especially maybe like the Harry Potter day as
well as well, they'll reveal all.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
That that's gonna be the the because we all love Hagrid,
and we all loved was Robbie Coltran who played them,
So that's gonna be the real, like you know, marked test,
Like if Hagard, okay, maybe.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
Now you have me?
Speaker 2 (33:46):
Maybe now you have me because the top of my head,
you know what I'm thinking, Haggard Jack Black like, but
he was, he would he would totally buy into it.
Though he buys Jumanji. He's by it, that's student my movie.
He would totally buy.
Speaker 1 (34:01):
In the area. Yeah. Well and Nintendo Mike says, like,
am I crazy to say that he had that Nintendo
Mike ha. Zero hope for the show. I think it's
it's really got to prove itself. Obviously it did a
smart thing of like all right, John Lefcow could be
really good with casting, but I think it really is
it's got to prove its worth, especially all the millennials
US and older, you know, ye of what it is,
(34:24):
because I've been thinking about this a lot with theme
parks and stuff, just because with Star Wars obviously cames
up to see like the Star Wars Galaxy's Edge in
Disney Worldland is heavily themed after the Nukeles. We call yeah,
So what happens when they do you know, the next
trilogy of movies or you know, the Ray movie. Do
they swap everything out or they keep it Kylo renn
(34:47):
focused well people care. Like that same thing with the
Harry Potter World is you know, the Hogwarts ride is
heavily themed after Daniel Radcliffe and that cast of Harry Potter.
Now when you get these new cast members, do you
swap that out or do you keep it the old cast.
Speaker 2 (35:03):
We've kind of seen it already with the Jurassic stuff
in the Universal because Jurassic before it was the Jurassic Park.
Now you go to the Dressic World and you do
see Chris Pratt stuff in there, the Blues on the ride,
the Raptor of Blossogos ride. So you kind of seen
that happen now with the Jurassic Park. So you're not wrong.
It could.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
They couldn't totally do that again mm hmm. I mean yeah,
I mean it's been ten years. Like Ntina Mike says
in the chat, you gotta have a TV show just
to get people to buy the books again, because I
can only buy the books again so much at a
thirst store, which you know you did the other day.
But if you want to sell new additions, I know
they always sell, like the illustrated editions and all that stuff.
You gotta have it, keep it going. You got theme
(35:42):
part synergy.
Speaker 2 (35:43):
Oh, the book's big money collectibles, I don't really look.
Speaker 1 (35:45):
They are if you have first editions. So like if
you got in for most of us, you the people,
the people listening, Uh, you probably grew up with the
Harry Potter books to a degree at some point, like
your boy was I think thirteen or fourteen when Deathly
Hollows came out, so we were that was the one
(36:06):
book we waited in line to get, and every the
other world we kind of caught up. If you have
those ones that are first edition and stuff like that,
they might be worth a little bit of money, but
it just depends.
Speaker 2 (36:16):
I will say, this kind of reminds me of how
I felt because I'm older, litt older than you. So
when they redid the Turtles with the movie.
Speaker 1 (36:21):
With Michael Bay was like, no, we don't want live
action and made it seas.
Speaker 2 (36:26):
You have to want turtles and soups. That's what I
have when we grew up and we liked it, and
then the first one wasn't so bad. The second one
kind of suck.
Speaker 1 (36:31):
But I feel like this, this this series.
Speaker 2 (36:34):
Is in better hands than that franchise. Yeah, it's still
going strong terms, I never going to anything still well.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
I think also like w B knows like Harry Potter
a big old money maker, Like say what you will
about DC comics, Batman is the big money maker. I mean,
Kevin's got a Batman shirt on right now. So like.
Speaker 2 (36:56):
Yeah, and like I said earlier about the video game,
we're like, oh my gout fired over so that squad.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
If this fails, somebody will get fired. Yeah, and then
and now be real interesting, Like if this fails, it
could I mean, you know, we don't know to see
what what they do because it's like you can't do
any more prequels. We explored that bridge enough for it
to Fantastic Beasts, so.
Speaker 2 (37:20):
The prequels could have been explored. I don't even need
the prequels. All you had to do was start exploring
different wisdom worlds.
Speaker 1 (37:25):
Actually reverse what I just said. You have one in
the Can and it's very it's the play Do Curse Child. Yeah,
and you're bringing back the O G cast. I mean,
the play is coming to National Theater in July, so
like a lot of I have not, so I'm excited.
Like a lot of people a d m V probably
gonna go see it, Like they're saying it's gonna sell
(37:46):
out within like two days the entire three month run
in DC, you know, like so much.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
May maybe schedule some people have to come on this
on his show he produces, so he can get some tickets.
Speaker 1 (37:55):
M hmm. But speaking of things we're planning for this summer, Kevin,
you might want to clear your calendar for the weekend
of April twenty fifth, Kevin, if that's okay, because Star
Wars Revenge of the Sith is coming back to theaters
(38:16):
for its twentieth anniversary.
Speaker 2 (38:19):
Oh man, that's my favorite prequel movie too.
Speaker 1 (38:22):
It's everyone's favorite prequel movie. Like, you can't go wrong.
I can't due all the Fates, Baby, duell the Fates
or whatever, dual heroes, that's what it is. Sorry, come on, baby,
give it to me. And they are they are giving
it to us because it was announced earlier this week,
(38:43):
twentieth University is Star Wars Celebration is gonna be big
this year. On the heels of the Star Wars Celebration,
which is the end of April on the heels of
and or coming out as well. You can go to theaters. Essentially,
it says for one week only you can rewatch the movie.
I know last year, I think it was last year
your boy did Return the Jedi in theaters, which was dope.
(39:05):
This is cool to see it in theaters. It is
very like when it's the boring parts, because there are
some boring parts of the Star Wars, like I know
this and then all right, cool, I'm back here a
battle that door. Let's gold Baby episode three, Well, yeah,
you can see that. It's it's gonna be awesome. Coolest
thing is and this is the first time they're doing
(39:26):
for one of these re releases. It will be in
forty X, so if you have a forty X theater
near you, that's the move. That is the move. It's
gonna suck, though, because when I find ons will be
hot exactly like like I saw Red One with Eric
over before Christmas and that was in forty X. That
(39:46):
was cool. This will be really cool because this is
a sci fi movie. Teed up to the te for
forty X. So, like keV said, there'll be hot air
shooting at you in the mustafart scene, very beginning battles scene.
You're gonna be twisting and turning doing the cool little
oh barrel rolls and stuff.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
So there's a forty X in Frederick and it's a
forty X and we went to what was that?
Speaker 1 (40:08):
So there's forty X Frederick. There's a forty X in Ashbourne,
and Regal Gallery Place has a forty X theater.
Speaker 2 (40:14):
This is this is happening. I'll never see forty X.
I actually saw it his opening day when it came
out last time. I just remember going to see it.
Speaker 1 (40:21):
I think I saw it opening weekend and a tourus.
I don't know if I just how I remember it.
We my mom, dad, brother, and I saw it in
a theater in Richmond. I don't know if that's because
we couldn't find it anywhere, like it was sold out
in Hampton, so we had to go somewhere in Richmond
to see the movie. But it will be really dope.
I know my brother's coming up. I'm saying with Eric
John Kevin, you are more than welcome to come to
(40:42):
DC if you want to see it with us in
four D, and that is up to you. I might
have to make that happen.
Speaker 2 (40:47):
Because that in forty X will be actually really really cool. Yeah,
really really cool.
Speaker 1 (40:52):
But just expect also probably a lot of Revenge of
the Sift stuff like merch t shirts, toys, uh, probably
come back out again just to celebrate that. And it's
Star Wars celebration, so it makes sense as well.
Speaker 2 (41:04):
Just as as a note, I was scurious that just
looked it up. Star Wars Revenge of the Sith made
two hundred and eighty million domestic and eight hundred and
fifty million worldwide.
Speaker 1 (41:14):
Very interesting.
Speaker 2 (41:16):
I think it was the second second highest grossing of
the prequels. First was album Phantom Menace that made a
million dollars.
Speaker 1 (41:22):
Yeah, and I think this re release might make a
good chunk of change too, because it's coming out like
two weeks before Thunderbolts comes out, and like there's not
a lot of big movies coming out till then really,
so normally we talk about these releases, they get maybe
like a couple of mail. This might get a good
chunk of change because people like Return of Revenge of
(41:42):
the Sith.
Speaker 2 (41:43):
Other thing two is, I will say millennials and older
gen Z people, the prequels are their Star Wars and
they think it maybe think it's if they saw it
when they as a kid and they were kids, remember
the theater experience. Now they get the experienced again as
adult with most of us our kids, which.
Speaker 1 (42:00):
Is crazy and I want to see it upside down
in my theater chair as we do a barrel roll,
we do a flip Jedi flip. You know. I can't
wait for everyone in the theater to quote the speech
at the end and be like, oh, they we've all
brought peace, justice and freedom to our democracy.
Speaker 2 (42:16):
We went part for everybody, want to go talk to
everybody goes in forty X.
Speaker 1 (42:19):
This is where the fun begins, where the fun begins,
and then we all clap of like this is where
democracy adds like a little too reel right now, a
little too reel.
Speaker 2 (42:27):
Right now, padme, Yeah, that's she didn't know what then,
but she was making a speech for it.
Speaker 1 (42:32):
People. George Lucas knew George Lucas new but speaking of Lucas, uh,
let's talk about Lucas Film, which owns Star Wars, because
it is rumored, heavily rumored that Lucasfilm boss Kathleen Kennedy
is expected to retire this year, which will be interesting
(42:52):
say what she will about her? She kept Star Wars afloat,
kept Star Wars going, you know, twenty years after it
came out with the prequel, with the prequels. Uh, it
will be an interesting regime change to see who they
pick as the new president of Lucasfilm and what that leads. Yeah, man,
uh and what that means for the movies. Everything we
(43:14):
watched with Star Wars will get more of, it will
get less of, it will all fall under like an
mc U, or it will be what it is now.
Speaker 2 (43:22):
Yeah, this is interesting. Say you want about Kathy Kennedy,
her reign of atop Lucasfilm. It's been very, very very rocky,
to say the least, to receive some praise. She was
seen sees a lot of hate. But when you break
down what she did were the new quals, I guess
universally loved. No, they all make up a billion dollars
(43:46):
and then one of them become a high schoolsing American
movie of all time, Yes, and that then what it
kept Star Wars afloat was man Is Mandalorian the biggest
character since Boba Fett. Probably that was her decision, fact
right now, but guess what it was still pretty good? Yeah,
and everybody loves and or that was her decision as well. So,
(44:09):
I mean, have we gotten a lot of Star Wars
movie content with her in charge? No, we've got a
lot of got a lot of fall starts, this is happening.
No it's not. This is happening, No, it's not. But
the stuff she's come out with and pretty pretty palatable.
Speaker 1 (44:21):
Yeah, And and not forget Indiana Jones. We got DIALD Destiny,
which say what you will. We did get a video game,
which is very good from what I've been told. All
the video games were Star Wars, which tending to me
fall under that banner as well. And you had Willow.
You had one season of Willow.
Speaker 2 (44:38):
Yeah it season Willow, but you had to get a
video games? Do we forget the animated series two bad Bat?
What the Star Wars visions was great? What was the
other other short one with a Soca baby, ah Soca?
Speaker 1 (44:51):
What is that called Tales of the Jedi?
Speaker 2 (44:53):
Because of the Jedi, So a lot of things. Like
I said, we've gotten a lot of things from Kathy
Kennedy's she's been trying to Star Wars.
Speaker 1 (45:02):
It's not a lot of movies.
Speaker 2 (45:03):
That's like the only knock I have answers. We haven't
got a lot of movies, which is like, I don't
mind Star Wars on the small screen. I like it,
but it needs to be addition to the big screen,
you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (45:12):
Yeah, the only thing this is obviously heavily rumor. We'll
finally find out Star Wars celebrasion. But just know, hey,
Star Wars might go through a change and you might
like it, you might not like it, but just be
ready for it and we'll still watch it and talk
about it, don't worry.
Speaker 2 (45:29):
Who do you think should be put in charge of it?
Speaker 1 (45:32):
Folony? Dave Filony? I know he's not on the executive side,
but I think you know, Lucasfilm is under Disney, so
you have all the executives. You need to have a
creative lead the studio. I guess. I know he is
like chief content officer or story office whatever, a teative
(45:52):
story at Lucasfilm. But if you want to like set
the right foot forward of this is where Star Wars
is going. Having him or or Favreau, or if Favreau
would have to change more in an executive role instead
of a producing role, can really get people ready to
go to see Star Wars hopefully blossom.
Speaker 2 (46:13):
You know.
Speaker 1 (46:14):
I kind of think that it.
Speaker 2 (46:15):
Should be kind of like how James Gunn and Peter
Saffron are running running DC. It should be James Favreau
and Dave Filoni.
Speaker 1 (46:23):
To get John Favreau and Dave you're good.
Speaker 2 (46:26):
But I actually I'm curious because there's a guy from
from Marvel, Nate Moore, who's leaving Marvel. I think at
the end of the year as well, I wonder this
is why he's leaving. Is he Is he going over
to the Lucas.
Speaker 1 (46:36):
I I think they're going to try to keep it
in house. I mean, Kathleen Kennedy herself is in house.
She was a production assistant then producers to Luke George Lucas.
So I think it's they're gonna keep it in house
because cool if you bring someone from Marvel and people
are like, oh crap, they're going to MC you Star
Wars and say what you will? I mean it kind
(46:58):
of is with the Mandalorian dollars. But yeah, you gotta
find the right balance with who you pick as her
successor because you hopefully want them around for as long
as she's been around with Star Wars too. Yeah, and
I believe.
Speaker 2 (47:14):
Rumor goes for that she's not just leaving tiring effectively
from the film industry, which is I mean, look again,
if you look at her filmography, I mean Indiana Jones,
I think Predator, Like all of her movies are ridiculous,
Like she's Spielberg on a lot of his movies. A
lot of her movies are what the American movie.
Speaker 1 (47:36):
Is, Jurassic Park, all three Jurassic Park movies, the Goonies,
American Tale, Roger Rabbit, Back to the Future too, e
T Hook. She's all you know, she's been in the
production side of it all. And I know that's a
different thing than we normally talk about, but it mean
track history is a big track history.
Speaker 2 (47:56):
It's been important. So you know, thank you, Kathy, like
for all you've done. And you couldn't as bad as
people think you've done. You could have did really really bad.
Speaker 1 (48:05):
You didn't you kept it or float. Also, it's funny
but do you remember when they really re released the
Star Wars movies in the nineties that it would start
with like, uh, it was like Roger Ebert or someone
interviewing George Lucas before the movie started. This just reminded
me of that, Like, man, that'd be really cool to
get FaceTime of whoever's the new head of lucasfilm in
(48:27):
front of everything, like, hey, here's a two minute snip
it with Hey, I'm the new head. Here we go
Star Wars. Enjoy it. Boom starts, I'm show you. I'm
gonna show you what Star Wars. You're gonna like it,
and then I won't tell you what happens next. But
then they're the recap person, Like, oh, man, that last episode,
could you tell Daisy Fluss hire a recap person, a
recap team for everybody. People have already seen the scenes,
(48:50):
have someone retell it to them. They'll kind of remember
and re and rejog their memory. They're not a bad idea,
Pat Penny, we called it diet plus. But speaking of
Disney Plus, Kevin, next week it's a special week. You
obviously will be in Disney, so you'll probably get to
see the poster for this show when you're in Hollywood studio,
(49:10):
it's maybe some cool stuff. Maybe, But Daredevil Born Again's
coming out next week. Wow, the thing it's already here,
and we're just gonna talk about some predictions, last minute
predictions and things we think might happen in this season
of Daredevil aka the continuation of the Defenders verse from Netflix.
Speaker 2 (49:29):
This is exciting. I'm really really happy the show has
has called its way back from oblivion because season three
was so good, Oh my gosh, but nobody watched it,
and I blame Irons too didn't help either, but Defenders
is at least palatable. But iron Fish season two was terrible.
Speaker 1 (49:50):
So Kevin, we know it's gonna be two seasons, I
believe with nine episodes, right, I don't remember episode I
think you're right, Yeah, first seasons, nine episodes. Let me
do a release schedule. We get two episodes next week, yep,
and then it's kind of a batch of a couple
(50:12):
of episodes throughout the next couple of weeks. What do
you want to happen in this show?
Speaker 2 (50:22):
I don't want to be dark, but it looks like
the reason the genes of the show is that can's
have been Daredevil for a while is going back to
being Daredevil, and I hope it's because either Karen or
Foggy we both died because.
Speaker 1 (50:34):
I'm so sick of Yeah. I mean, I'm sorry, Yeah,
I mean they're not wrong, though, I think really in
the Netflix first it was typical of Netflix shows of
that era, is all right, here's your superhero persona and
very superhero shows, but here's also your regular people friends.
Everyone superhero is gonna have regular people friends. And it's like, yeah,
but people don't really care about the regular people friends.
(50:55):
No one's gonna buy a funko pop of Foggy, you know.
Speaker 2 (50:59):
And he's like, Matt, you can't be there him like,
Foggy ninjas are invading New York over a dragon boat
carcass and they won't die.
Speaker 1 (51:09):
Something they won't die, Call the cops, the cops. They
got up doing, is Bobby, I got dealing it.
Speaker 2 (51:16):
I'm sorry, but that's one no.
Speaker 1 (51:17):
But I mean, you're not wrong. I do think like
it's great to have you know, both Deborah and Wooll
and I forget what Foggy's real name is, to have
them in the show, just for that continuation. But I
do think you know you've advertised with what you got.
You got Matt Meridach, I mean, you got Charlie Cox,
you got Vincent Dinafrio, and you're giving what people want mainly,
(51:40):
which is John Burnthal is Punisher and it's fully cannon
in the MCU, which we'll get to that in a
second as well. So have them in the first two
episodes and then all right aftermath what now they're gone?
What's gonna happen?
Speaker 2 (51:53):
Also, I love Goble reckd Rock here.
Speaker 1 (51:57):
Just saying yeah, I think for me, I think I
think they're doing a great job of what of connecting
everything with the Netflix versus like we have the White
Bunny Storm Bunny in a Storm painting or Bunny and
Snowstorm painting. We're getting the same actress as so like
we get to continue doing on this podcast years later,
(52:19):
and I think that's great. I do think you do
have to tee it into the MCU because I know
obviously Daredevil was was Annay Home, he was in she Hulk,
but now you kind of have to have them also
be part of this show just to fully oh, those
(52:40):
aren't just cameos. This is part of this world, you know,
like we'll talk about cameos we think may or may
not happen. I'll go through a list with you, Kevin,
but you need a cameo to show up that isn't
from the Netflix verse, just to be like, all right,
this is the MCUs now, not just we're just continuing
the Netflix thing.
Speaker 2 (52:58):
The usest cameo will be right in the cameras, think
what happened over But the easiest one would be because
of the next because of the mc U right now,
because they've also dealt with King Pam will be either
Kate Bishop or Clint Barton or echo Echo.
Speaker 1 (53:11):
Yeah, and that's the easiest. Yeah, we'll go we'll go
through the list now and you'll tell me if you think.
We'll say if we think it will happen or not.
This is a list we found of the ten cameos
that most likely might happen on Daredevil if cameos are possible.
Number one on the list, which so it's least likely
out of these ten, is Maya Lopez's Echo. It makes
(53:34):
sense whether it is in flashback form or she actually
pops up. You know, she is Kingpin's sort of adopted
daughter to a degree. They had the fallout in the
Echo Special Present whatever the hell was Special Marvel Spotlight,
whatever the hell they called that's the show. Yeah it was.
It was good. I mean not everything. Like we said,
(53:56):
Push needs to push the agender forward, but for sure
be a reference. You know, they do have to explain Kingpin.
Oh my shutting all my evil was sucked out of
my body, but it's gonna creeped in. You know. That
was at the end of ECO. But I mean Matt
Murdoch that was he came out in that too, so
(54:17):
and that's an easier get for them too, just because
you know, the actress isn't as big of an a
local Cox isn't as big of an ask for to
get on a show. It's it's number ten.
Speaker 2 (54:29):
I think it's like the most likely because I mean,
Kingpin left where Echo was to come back to New York.
So obviously something's going on. Anyone know what happened and
can go back to where Echo say hey, this guy,
what did you do to him before he left? He's
really mean now I don't know what he what you
guys did to him.
Speaker 1 (54:45):
This list has Miss Marvel Kamala Khan slash Miss Marvel.
I don't think that's likely the show is too gritty.
I know she's in Jersey, but I think they're going
to keep that on the other side of the river there.
Like keV said, Kate Bishup could be I think potential
Hayley Steinfeld. I think it's more likely than Jeremy Renner
(55:06):
as Clint Barton, especially if the rumor is they might
want to do a Hawkeye season two. Why not tease
it now? But and she lives in New York at
least in Hawkeye, so it depends.
Speaker 2 (55:20):
And we saw her and at the end of the
marble was like had had a bunker or headquarters in
New York still.
Speaker 1 (55:27):
So yeah, and plus plus you know, she didn't really
deal with it head on, but Kingpin was in Hawkeye
and that was kind of their main villain show. No,
it was it was Echo that shot shot.
Speaker 2 (55:40):
Him, and I think on the shoulders, I don't remember.
Speaker 1 (55:43):
Oh she did, she did? You're right, because then Echo
came in and saved the day. You're correct. Uh. Claire
temple A k. A. Rosario Dawson's character Night Nurse whatever
you want to call her, the kind of referred to
her as she was the connecting force. The Nick Fury
of the Defender verse. I think so, especially if you
need to connect Punisher and uh Daredevil. That's a good
(56:07):
character to set up. And then she continues with Punisher.
Speaker 2 (56:10):
I was love Jo Dawson. So yes, yeahcuse mean everything.
Speaker 1 (56:14):
Hey, we got you out the set of a CCUS
season two for a day exactly, Electra, which would be
the Netflix Electra. I think, so maybe get visions. Maybe
that's a tease for a season two for the second
season A Daredevil. But Eleddi Young was good.
Speaker 2 (56:32):
I'm saying no to this actress, but yes to Electra.
Speaker 1 (56:35):
Oh, I know, Eleddi Young.
Speaker 2 (56:37):
I just feel like nobody remembers her and they do
what they want, now, you know what I mean?
Speaker 1 (56:42):
Yeah. I think also though that you are right, they
won't be Jennifer Gardner, so don't be thinking that. But
it does different universe. But I do think if you
are pulling the same Foggy, same Karen, you know, same everybody,
it probably should be her too. It'd be weird to
miscast or change her up. Kevin. Any of the Defenders
(57:02):
do you think they'll pop up in this first season?
At least the only two that are.
Speaker 2 (57:06):
Likely is in the two that aren't on Iron Fist,
My Culture as Luke Cage for or just Jessica Jones
what's her name?
Speaker 1 (57:14):
Christen Ridder, Christ and Ridder, those are the only two.
Speaker 2 (57:18):
I kind of put Kristin Ridder a little above My
Culture because he has his own.
Speaker 1 (57:22):
Show right now.
Speaker 2 (57:22):
And then I'm pretty sure he's pretty busy because that's
one of those twenty four episode procedural CBS shows.
Speaker 1 (57:28):
It's probably always one set. Yeah, let me see the evil.
Evil actually is just ended, so he is just ended, Okay,
free maybe maybe maybe could be be free.
Speaker 2 (57:40):
I think even though season two was kind of frowned upon,
even with Chris, Jessica Jones, Christian Rider, even Jessica Jones
two wasn't that great them as the characters people love.
Speaker 1 (57:49):
Yeah, And I think really if you put him in here,
you can course correct. And we just had to sketch
what we want out of their Netflix season just say
this is what it is.
Speaker 2 (57:58):
And also, like I said, even though the even like
the season too much, they loved My Culture and Christo.
Where to ask to the characters they like either one
with the ironpis the actor or a show?
Speaker 1 (58:07):
Yeah, they like any of it. This list, says Sam
Wilson's Captain America. I say, no, I think you're saving that.
You save that for Thunderbolts with Bucky a reverse.
Speaker 2 (58:17):
Yeah, yeah, no, there's no way can't. Hey, I'm big
of the team. That just happening.
Speaker 1 (58:21):
Yeah, the val I think is the same thing. I
don't think she needs to show up in this because
she'll be in the Thunderbolts Slash. There's really no connection
with these characters.
Speaker 2 (58:30):
Remember, Daredel was a street level hero. He's not handling
universal or countrywide threats. These are countrywide threat type of people.
Speaker 1 (58:39):
Our next one, which technically is where we last saw
not technically because Echo was the last time we saw Daredevil,
but that's this whole thing, and Ted counting the m
c are large. We last saw him in She Hulk
Jennifer Walter, she Hult, Tatiana Musla and and you think
she's popping up or get a reference with Matt Murdoch.
Speaker 2 (59:00):
Pop ups about pops up as Malani just a lawyer,
not as she Halt. But maybe maybe we'll see something
like her. I turn green real quick and she walks out.
Speaker 1 (59:08):
That's why we can't it's a budget we can afford
on the show. Anymore. No, she cannot work go back
in the Stallion. Sorry, but what of love she showed him?
Speaker 2 (59:15):
They have gret Chemratry on screen.
Speaker 1 (59:16):
Yeah, and this one says spider Man. Spider Man, I
don't think is showing up. Uh. It was very interesting.
Brad Winderbaum, who's kind of the head of uh Marvel
Animation right now, did say that Marvel can't do Peter
Parker in a thirty minute show. I don't know if
that was for into an animated show or like Tom
(59:38):
Holland as Peter Parker, or if that were regarded any
thirty minute show. But I highly doubt they'll get Pete
in this. Maybe maybe you get Happy Hogan, but that's it. Maybe.
Speaker 2 (59:49):
I don't think there's no chance in the war we
get Spider Man or Peter Parker. I think the better
chance that would maybe we see him in the face
with Jefferson Davis, Marlon Rod's father. It kind of starts
setting up those those those miles Easter eggs. Yeah, exactly,
and it just happened to say, yeah, I will card here,
I gotta kill.
Speaker 1 (01:00:07):
It, or even it's Captain Stacey. You know, we're setting
up Gwenn Station exactly, but in no.
Speaker 2 (01:00:13):
Way in the world we'll see any any Spider type
people swinging around. It's not happening.
Speaker 1 (01:00:18):
Yeah, but we know that comes out next week. But
thanks to all the interviews this week, we now know
ninety nine percent happening. We are getting a John Burnhal's
Punisher Marvel special presentation. Yeah you thought those went away
after the Guardians Holiday special. Turns out they're just saving
(01:00:38):
it for a good one off. Which is the Punisher.
Speaker 2 (01:00:42):
Happy about this?
Speaker 1 (01:00:42):
Number one?
Speaker 2 (01:00:43):
Like I said, I might want of John Burnhall's biggest thing.
Speaker 1 (01:00:45):
I don't know. Everything he does is about Baltimore, so
it's not even that like.
Speaker 2 (01:00:50):
Him and the Bear is amazing, even though he's all flashbacks.
I mean again, of course you want to city. He
was great. He was when he was Shane walking Dead.
He was great.
Speaker 1 (01:00:59):
It's not much he's in there. He doesn't put his.
Speaker 2 (01:01:02):
Again like Donald car ear earlier. He commits to every
role he does. He's a fascinating person this in general,
and I love the Punisher him as a Punisher, and
I'm so excited about this.
Speaker 1 (01:01:12):
And it also give you a hope too that we
can see more of these.
Speaker 2 (01:01:14):
One off specials because like I'll go back to here
I always talk about because I thought he was gonna
be in the Marbles.
Speaker 1 (01:01:19):
He wasn't Blue Marble.
Speaker 2 (01:01:21):
Maybe he can't do a movie with him, but a
special about who he is and how he can fit
into the MTU that could work out, feel I feel like,
or if you want to go to somebody else, like
like like a new Iron Fist, maybe don't do a
New Iron Fist movie because my compew people are saying cheap.
But if you do Iron Fists Special forty five minutes.
Speaker 1 (01:01:38):
Maybe it's like I think the other thing is is
the opposite of that is you don't have to do
a show for everything, which is kind of what people
were kind of like, Okay, we don't need this show
or whatever is no but doing a one off obviously
we're getting him in Daredevil to degree. We don't know
how much of that, but if that's set in your
(01:01:58):
base ground this then it's just, oh, here's a mission
with Punisher. You'll see him later then in Daredevil season two, Slash,
you know, Secret Wars and all that good stuff. But entertainment,
we said that Bernthal will start in the Marvel special
and we'll also write it with We Own the City
director Rainaldo Marcus Green. Brad Winderbaum, the head of Marvel
(01:02:21):
Television so it's television animation, said it's like a shotgun
blast of the story but also has all the pathos
an emotion that you want out of a Frank Castle story.
It is very exciting.
Speaker 2 (01:02:32):
Ye, Frank Castle is all. I feel like whoever wrote
the Max Paying game just took a Frank Castle book
and was like, let's do this.
Speaker 1 (01:02:40):
Yeah, I think really is with a Punishers show. I
know it was. It started off very strong and people
were like okay, and then had season two wasn't a
didn't people didn't really talk about as much as season one.
I think, really focus in on that. Get it in
the MCU. But you know, obviously it can be a
t V M A because we've leaned into that now
(01:03:02):
a little bit more with Marvel. But you gotta get
the message in rank with Punisher because I know the
Punisher logo all that stuff has kind of been mistrewd
now with certain groups of people. Hopefully this makes them
not use that logo anymore.
Speaker 2 (01:03:15):
And the funny thing about that is if you read
any Punisher comic, he kills corooked cops, Like.
Speaker 1 (01:03:20):
Yeah, it is about vengeance on crooked mainly justice systems
more than anything. The whole thing about Punch that he's
the judge, not to you, not to just the system. Not, No,
he is. If he sees you're doing wrong, he get shot.
Yeah that's but this won't be you know, Punisher going again,
going after the MCU. You know, I know that's one
comic line of Deadpool does the same thing. It'll be
(01:03:42):
a self contained Punisher story within whatever Dared Devil sets
up most likely.
Speaker 2 (01:03:48):
Think thing too to see how they got the dential
as well, how they reset this whole entire narrative, cause
we kind of know the narrative of Punisher, you know,
he got to going back against an old like you know,
started something like that. Daredevil's kind of been struggling with
the Devil's side of themselves. So how they reset the
whole narrative from netflixill set what.
Speaker 1 (01:04:06):
Almost almost ten years ago? Yeah, yeah, yeah, a whole
reset refresh and I'm excited. Yeah yeah, but yeah, future
is looking bright. That starts next week. Then we got
and Or about a month after that, and then we
got Thunderbolts and Ironheart potentially, and then maybe some more
Star Wars stuff is gonna be a good time. Don't worry.
Wonder Man comes out at some point in this year too.
Speaker 2 (01:04:29):
It's like a sleeping I won't say a sleeping giant.
But you forget about it. Oh yeah, won Man something.
Speaker 1 (01:04:34):
Yeah, that's that's the last MC you thing, not the
animate should you forget about it? You forget about it.
But to see everything we talked about today, it's so
much more. You can go to at infinite of score
pods on the Instagram ord x go and give it
to you. You can also see our beautiful faces now
in a newly formatted podcast Twitch dot tv or YouTube
(01:04:54):
dot com slash Infinite Underscore Pods. Kevin, you will have
the final word. But he will be going on vacation.
He'll be on a Disney World vacation with the fan
for the next week and a half. We're excited for him.
We are excited for Kevin just to have some time
off and just have some fun. Ride the Rise, he
wants to ride, eat all the cheeseburger spring roast he
can outside of Frontierland or Adventureland, whatever land exactly. But Kevin,
(01:05:20):
your final words, final words are honestly, that's a couple weeks.
Speaker 2 (01:05:26):
I'll be patient with people, be kind. It's a crazy
world right now. I was like, well, calm down.
Speaker 1 (01:05:34):
And as always, my name is Hoodie and I'm Kevin,
and you've officially listened to this vertical Pokemon Day slash
Daredevil hype episode of What keV Crisis on
