for you.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
But we always start the show properly with something we
like to call what you doing.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
We're talking about the shows and movies we've been watching,
the games we've been playing, the lives we've been living,
and Kevin, because it is Monday, you get to go first.
Good sir. Uh. Let's see since we've last joined each
other one I've been doing so. Yesterday we finally broke
down and decorated the house for Christmas. Hell yeah, which

(02:49):
is always fun. The tree was already up because we're
trying to sensitize Cira the scene a tree we want
you want her just like to put up there and
try to pull it down. So we put all decorations
is up. We decorated trim to trim the tree. If
they say put the ornaments on a tree, put a
star on a tree. And surprisingly Kien was very helpful.
I thought she's surprised about it. The low bottom the

(03:10):
low bottom ornaments really helped out there. Yeah, she was
very like, she was like, Okay, I'm gonna get this one.
I wanna put it up there, gonna get this one.
Put it up there like, okay, you're actually you're you're
into this. The one thing she is not into Santa Claus.
We have two like tiny little doll looking Santa Claus things.
They both dance and sing and one sing jingle bells.
I think the one thing jingle bell rocks. Not into it,

(03:32):
not into it at all, crawling off my leg, trying
to get away from it. Does that want to be
near it? I want to touch It's not a big
fan of tiny Santa Claus at all. That's okay, that's okay.
We'll get there. We'll get there. And then also we
well this is me more. I kind of put some
lights around the living room because I want to be
a little bit more festive, I believe. If you want to,

(03:52):
you can look at my instagram at motech on Instagram
and you can see kind of my living room looks
like because we couldn't do much last year because she
was still kind of crawling around. So it's basically decally
was just like tree and you know, maybe a uh
wreath here and there, and that's about it. Though. Well

(04:21):
then next week we want to tackle outside, I believe,
and see what we can do out there because I
don't want to do too much outside because it gets
pretty rainy around here in December, and I don't want,
you know, I don't want to make a shocked trying
to ada. It's okay, just doing the morning. You'll be
fine when it's not raining. So we did that. Watch
a couple of Christmas movies. We watched, uh, Jingle all

(04:42):
the Way? And what else did you watch? Watch something else?
Remember it is funny.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
This this is an interesting hoodie story. I used to
think Jingle All the Way was a Thanksgiving movie because
of like the parade, like, oh, it's the Macy's Day parade. No, this,
this is Christmas parade. They have parades outside of just Thanksgiving.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
It's like the perfect town on America. Like they have
random parades with I guess top level talent of you know,
syndicated TV shows in the afternoon. It's kind of crazy.
Watched it. So we watched that and then what else?
Can't remember? The Chris movie watched came up. It's gone.
It's totally good. It's gone. So we did that and
like I said, we're technically outside tomorrow. Then a little

(05:20):
little grocery shopping man, it's getting expended. Any Wicked rewatches
in your family to prepare for what may or may
not happen next week as a surprise. Yes and no. Uh.
Leah kind of watched us that Wicked Special on Peacock
last week, and then Kira's kind of Kiara knows how
to pull up now on Prime Video on our tablet,
so she watched it in and out. Anyway, she'll put

(05:42):
it on and watch it for like a half an
hour and walk away from it. It's blaring somewhere in
the house, like what where. My wife kind of knows
about heart, So I think that'll be good actually going
into the movie they may or may not be going to.
I did see a few out of the THELD reviews
this morning, and apparently it's pretty good. If you really

(06:04):
enjoyed the first one, you're gonna really enjoy this one.
I was kind of I don't know if you saw
that kind of weirdesy that got jumped the barrier almost
like get yeah, that was a big people act, a
civilized you're you're at a fan event, don't be acting
like I can hop up and I do this everywhere.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
It's the same guy as who would jump the stage
at the Game Awards every year. It's like, all right,
come on, you don't have no purpose for this.

Speaker 1 (06:31):
The best ones I love, though, are the ones that
just jump the rail at wrestling events and go into
the ring get the credit. Yeah, well that should be.
It should be the same thing. I want to see
Cynthia Revo and she almost did beat up that guy.
I think. Other than that that I am. That's all
I've been doing. What about you, buddy, Yeah later.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
You We'll get to that later. That is also a
pro tip. If you're trying to watch Wiki, it's not
on Peacock. You would assume that would be the natural
place it would be. It's on Prime Video. I think
it's because they're doing the Prime video screenings again, So like,
if you want to see it, I think you like
you click it as an option under Wicked and Prime
Video to see it early. The Prime Video screenings are

(07:08):
start on Monday, and then we have a screening on Tuesday.
We're going that's Kevin's family is being surprised about to
go see and then obviously Thursdays they have like double
features and everything, So be prepared for Wicked.

Speaker 1 (07:18):
This week. It's Wicked Week okay, Wicked.

Speaker 2 (07:21):
It's a Wicked week until Thanksgiving, most likely when Zutopia
comes out. But besides that, More and I have been
preparing for Wicked because we're doing something special for that.
When we go see it, her mom and her one
of her sisters is coming with us.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
It'll be really fun.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
So we watched Wizard of Og Wizard of Oz this
weekend and it was funny because this.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Mo what was it this movie? What was it? Different movie? Oh? Okay, yeah,
so this movie was was great.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
It was a different movie. I'll get that in second.
Obviously it's Wizard of Oz. But it is weird going in,
like knowing we're all Wicked coded now seen these movies, Like,
I see what they did here, but Wicked said no,
he said something else.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
It's also wait, watching that movie now knowing all like
the back behind the scenes, yeah, the people. Well, apparently
the stage play is just as bad because there's also
a documentary on Peacock about how Wicked also was like
cursed for a while. Wow. Yeah, I feel like at
this point there's momentum to maybe just do a full
on like take the whole script that did in More

(08:27):
the thirties and just remake it and be like, Okay,
we're done with everything. That was like the rumor that
there's like a midget I'm sorry that person, yeah, like
in the background, like dead, and it's like you watch it,
you know, you know it's not real, but the same
time kind of like is it not it's you've got
a defect almost yes, and then the tin man make

(08:49):
up making him sick. It's like it's terrible stuff.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
And I told him, I was like, let's just suspend
his belief on that actual stuff.

Speaker 1 (08:54):
Okay, just just enjoy the movie. Because she was starting
to quote stuff.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
I was like, yeah, we're just for We're gonna we're
gonna just enjoy and we're gonna move on. Interesting thing
is Wizard of Oz is on HBO Max. It's the
like Turner classic movie version though, so you have to
sit through two minutes of a guy saying this is
why this movie is important, like get to the damn movie.

Speaker 1 (09:15):
Start the movie ad fifteen seconds on geez.

Speaker 2 (09:18):
But flip side of that the way is unfortunately isn't
on any streaming services right now. I really wanted to
watch that, which sucks because it should be because come on,
Synergy may have it.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
I think it's like two bucks on YouTube if you
want to spend two bucks. Yeah, I'm okay.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
I don't know if I like it or not. I
hope I like it, but I mean, who knows. And
then Return to Oz is on Disney Plus. So if
you want to watch the scary one, you can want
to watch that one.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
Also too, Like those sequel books to the Reservoirs are
scary as well. We saw it.

Speaker 2 (09:49):
We saw it, and we're like, oh, I don't know,
but we did watch Oz the Great and Powerful again.
And I know what you say about James Frank and everything,
but that movie's okay.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
It's like I thought it was a lot bad, worse
just remembering him, I was like, it's okay, it's not bad.
I feel like if I think people people cared about
Wizard of Oz back then, but that was released like now,
after a Wicked Wiking for Good show to show the
order story of Oz, I think they had been a
lot more well received.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Yes, obviously, going from Wicked to that, you're like, this
is not right at all, but you got to think also,
I was a Great and Powerful and Wicked were two
different books, two different authors made on Wizard of Oz
so technically of their own canon timelines and everything. I
know with Wicked, everyone's like, oh's that's the main canon
or whatever. But it was it was interesting that my

(10:38):
only gripe with that movie is they try to do
this stylistic thing. And it's Sam Raimi, so you know,
he did Spider Man movies, Evil Dead. The music I
think it is Danny Elfman is very like, is.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
This the Spider Man movie? Is this?

Speaker 2 (10:50):
I was a great powerful It starts off with like
old school, like very square frame and the whole time
like how did Disney plus f up this time? What
isn't it working? And it was because it was a
stylistic choice. I was like, didn't like that at the
beginning for the first ten minutes when they're like the
old school form of it.

Speaker 1 (11:08):
Yeah. Also it's funny to mention that how it was
two different books on the same ip. It's kind of
like recently with it, like five or six years ago,
two jungle Book movies out. It was any Circus jungle
Book and Disney's new live Action jungle Book, and both
of them are kind of like obviously Disney one was better,
and you try.

Speaker 2 (11:23):
A good job, but this one's Yeah, we're gonna Frankenstein
next year too. Last week interesting enough though too. What
we did find out Disney didn't get the rights to
like the Wizard of Oz stuff, I guess anything from
So they got the rights from the books, but not
from the Wizard of Oz movie.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
So it's a whole rights issue. I know we talk
about movie rights because I think the same thing kind
of happens with the Friday the thirteenth movies is you
can take Jason, but you can't take Friday the thirteenth.
That's a different like rights issue for movies. So just
a little behind the scenes and things, which is cool
kind of like too, Like Spider Man, they have everything
but the movie rights. They have merchandising, they have a

(12:05):
TV show, cartoon music, But Tony ain't giving up that cookie. No, no,
no no. If you want to do we're gonna need
to be like called this sony or something like that,
but not just giving this. Well we have that. It's
called a water brand designy. And then besides that, I
did start Chad Powers Today, which is the Glenn Palell

(12:25):
Hulu show where it was the Eli Manning sketch originally,
and they made a TV show. It's okay, it is,
it's something to watch. It's not the funniest thing.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
But it's entertaining, which is good. Okay, because it was
a football show.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
Sometimes, yes, sometimes those kind of shows kind of similar.
Almost listening to Ted Last though you thought the joke
was gonna get old quick, but actually ended up being
a pretty good watch. And Ted Last are one of
the best things on TV in twenty so I hope
the same thing. But it's I haven't watched it yet,
but I'm hoping this one actually is more than just
that joke.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
Also more And I did start Only Murders season five, Kevin,
you've been watching Only Murders or you don't?

Speaker 1 (13:01):
With one I've never watched.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
We were going in thinking, all right this no one
really talked about it because it ended like two weeks ago,
and delighted know we watched three episodes pretty quickly. So
pretty it's it's something to watch, I'll say that. But
also it's like, all right, I like figuring out the
mystery too.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
Real quick. Then I'm Mike in the chest said he's
rewatching cat Wish, cat Wish, Catfish. I'm asking this is
only because I know I read a story recently that
MTV is finally canceling Ridiculousness. Have they replaced Ridiculousness with Catfish?
To get caught up watching all it? Back to back Catfish?
And I think it did.

Speaker 2 (13:42):
It ended this September, so now's a good time to
go back. You have a finite for a number of episodes.
You know, You're not like it's going on forever because
they changed.

Speaker 1 (13:51):
House like three years ago or something. Yeah. I just
remember during the Glory years when we went to Orlando
for the Call of Duty World Championships, we had I
mean and John got caught up watching like seven episodes
of a Catfish but also.

Speaker 2 (14:05):
The Nintenda'm like, I guess you're now currently the expert
on Catfish. I feel like everyone was obsessed with that
show for like the first season and a half, and
then no one cared about it at all, but.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
MTV was still putting it on. I never get the
one I watched before, where like the guy was convinced
that like Britney Spears trying to contact him through like
a ghost account, and then when he when they actually
brought him to the person who was it was just
some random lady and he was like, well, I'm not upset,
but I'm but you know. But but then he still
thought it was still Britney Spears wasn't like how how

(14:37):
how how your man are? You don't realize that Britney
Spears doesn't care. I doesn't even though you are.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
This funny thing aside because it relates to the Chad
Power Show, uh he He auditioned auditions. He tries out
for a team where their team name is the Catfish Is.
It's like, hey, I see what we're doing. We're doing here, Okay,
I got you.

Speaker 1 (14:58):
I pay attention. I remember when Catfish started, like you said,
it was like, oh my gosh, these people are yeah people,
and that's there. Like Catfish, I feel like good different.
I mean that was a finger on the pulse.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
And then I think there was a ghosted show at
the same time, and obviously those trends become normal things
that we all just know.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
To accept nowadays. Unfortunately.

Speaker 2 (15:19):
Yeah, but I feel like Catfish then kind of went
the way of live pds and you know, your cops shows.
You're like, all right, we're just trying to bust people
and make it elaborate, you know.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
Yeah, Like eventually, I feel like with Catfish the catfish
and like, maybe I need to chill because don't once
got show up at my house one day and spot
it became a deterrent. That is the era of modern television.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
Let's get on into it. Then it is time for
the new It's tough. First things first.

Speaker 3 (15:55):
Well, it's time to head on over to Reaction Theater, Kevin,
because we're breaking down the trailer for Fallout season two.

Speaker 1 (16:10):
Okay, Kevin, you got it. Yea, it disappeared. It disappeared,
So in case you missed it, the trailer came out Thursday,
Thursday after Thursday morning, Thursday afternoon for Fallout season two.
If you remember, Fallout season one was set in California,
kind of New California, kind of regionally, with the Fallout

(16:32):
games pretty much taking place I think after all the
Fallout games, or maybe at least the Thirsty three if
I remember setting wise, and also in a different vaults
as well. It wasn't the same vault that we knew
from four and three and all that kind of stuff. Yeah,
and the cool thing was we, like keV said, it
respected the cannon that had come from the video games,

(16:55):
but was pretty much doing its own thing. To a degree,
which is why we really liked it.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
I think we talked about this last week with the
Mass Effects Show, which will also.

Speaker 1 (17:03):
Be through Prime Video.

Speaker 2 (17:05):
If it does something similar where it's in the cannon
but it's doing its own thing, that could work again.

Speaker 1 (17:10):
That cold could work because another thing too is like
the fights for like Mario and other things like that.
You don't really have to tell the same story in
these kind of games that it has already been told.
Because it's like there's a red Redemption show. I don't
wan see Author Morgan. I want to see something else
going on in that in that Redemption, you know what
I mean? Because the Author Morgan storyline is perfect almost,

(17:33):
It's like it's really good. What can you do to
plus it? Just specially in the line back Arthur Arthur
Morgan Vander.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
Yeah, that is an interesting crinundrum. If because that's a
rock star like that, that would be the rock Star
game that would become a show.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
It would be Red Dead Redemption one or two.

Speaker 2 (17:52):
Really, But I feel like we got burned after Westworld
and we're like we're gonna.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Pick a B I guess, but we have Yellowstone.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Interesting why we don't have that asn't ip adapted yet
it can go.

Speaker 1 (18:03):
Dark NDU Manhunt from back in the day.

Speaker 2 (18:05):
What else Well, I mean we have essentially an equivalent
of that, which is The Running Man, which is in
theaters now.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
But but yeah, the season one was great. The interesting
thing was going into it.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
We all kind of were trepidacious because it was all
the episodes are releasing now and I.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Think it was March when it came out.

Speaker 2 (18:24):
In the first season, I'm like, Okay, we'll see what happens.
There's other shows on right now. And it surprises all,
like everyone, like, we watched all of the episodes, I
think both of us in two weeks, and it was
really good.

Speaker 1 (18:36):
Character Ella Pernell killed it. I think that really was her.

Speaker 2 (18:40):
Now are big stepping out because she was in our
cane and people recognize her voice, but now people knew
who she was, so she's obviously a bigger deal now.
And it was a Walton Goggins effect because I think
this was on the same time Invincible season three at
the time was on and it was like, hell, yeah,
give me a go. And then you had Righteous Gemstones
a right around the same time too.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
I remember, because we were surprised I remember that they
were listen to all of them on the same day
at the same time. I mean, because I watched the
first I think it was eight episodes. I watched the
first seven on a Saturday, and watched the last one
of the next day. Like, I blew through it really
really fast, because it was so compelling, and like you said,
the performances were really good, even like I can't remember
the guy's name, but the guy who plays the Brotherhood

(19:21):
of Steel person, his story was even compelling compared to
Waltoggins and Leopreneur stories. It was just like, you guys
nailed this world perfectly, to the point where I don't
even I don't even care about the people I played
in the Games of the past. I care about these
people and what's going on with the New World, so
to speak. So I just did confirm this season will

(19:43):
be released weekly.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
So that's that's an interesting they're going through. I get it, though,
because if you release them all before the holidays, everyone
want will forget about it by the time the holidays
coming out, Whereas this way, it's like, all right, we
have coming out December seventeenth, the first episode, then Christmas.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
Eve, the New Year's Eve.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
Yeah, no, one's really going to watch those during those days.
But then you have five more episodes after that. That's
when people will catch up.

Speaker 1 (20:09):
Do you have to compete with Stranger Things? But other
than that, I think that's also after it's over.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
But that's also a smarter smart reason too, is that, hey, weekly,
you'll catch up on the first three during that holiday
break when you're done with Stranger Things. And then we
got you starting in January continually in January.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
Yeah, and like you said, they adopted all of them
at the same time. Everybody can forget about about time
Christmas started, like you said, Yeah, it makes sense.

Speaker 2 (20:33):
All right, Well, let's get on into it. Then we'll
talk about you, ready, Kevin, let's do it. And you
have not seen this trailer. I have not actually forgot
all about it, Kevin, You're in for a treats, all right?
So the kind of three we can hit start one
at the A three.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
Video. So I've seen a lot of things, man, the Google,
Crazy Things, rad Scorpion, the game. Yeah, yeah, got chess Mouth,
he got it. But say that I would be a

(21:09):
good person too if I grew up to some cozy,
little impenetrable home to steal and stab and fib all
the goddamn time, just to get by. Its rico for
Panta Montana. Yeah, exactly what you plan on doing once
we found your daddy, Your daddy, Miller, themselves matters and

(21:32):
they don't give up. Hope the stuff we fight for?
Sorry has it? Used to believe in those things too?
For two hundred years? Cool flash back class. Hell yeah,
we thought they were done. They just kept you alive.
One to find my damn? Who's doing daddy? He's a

(21:52):
good duolo. You're really need friends. Hmmm, have new wo coming? Oh? War?
War never changes one never changed? This so much, very true.
Hell Zach Cherry, he's a secret delight and he shows.

Speaker 3 (22:15):
Okay, I understand we're discussing a civil war.

Speaker 1 (22:20):
Hell yeah, looking at check still kill cool? Just throw baby,
actually beginning to get along? Well, who's that? Try to

(22:46):
try again? Oh he looks good. This looks good. That's
really good. Oh cool? Okay, Yeah, so this is nagas Huh.

(23:07):
I'd ask why my dad ran into a down of monsters,
but you probably just tell me to shut the budge up.
You looks so sick of it. Hell yeah, Yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
December seventeenth looks great, and it's probably be another reason. Hey,
why don't you download fall fall Out four again and
try and give it another fifth college try.

Speaker 1 (23:32):
While you're here the holidays right around the corner. What
more would your cousin or child loved in a new
copy of Fallout? Well, and that's the thing.

Speaker 2 (23:40):
But that was smart and or stupid because they're releasing
an anniversary like addition of Fallout four.

Speaker 1 (23:48):
And it's like the complete edition.

Speaker 2 (23:49):
It's like, well, you could it just like four K resolution,
but you could just buy the original version of it
and pretty much does the same thing.

Speaker 1 (23:57):
But hey, I get it. People are gonna want to
play a game after watching the show again. Yeah, I
mean it's it's it's it's one of the easiest things
to do. Like, man, that was good. I want to
play the game, like every time I watch a Marble
shoot no part of me quick, Well, let me look
at Marvel's Avengers again. Let me just hang out in
the hell Carrier. It's still on my hard drive. It's

(24:17):
still there. It's still taint on my hard drive. I
know what. Let me do the repetitive things over and
over again for a little while, and.

Speaker 2 (24:27):
Then you forget like, oh, they gave me access to
all the skins because this game is dead and everything.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
Oh my god, Yeah, this looks good again. Cool thing
is mcaulay culkin in there for a hot second? Kummel
nan Giohnny looks like Kev's Like keV mentioned a super
mutant will be shown like fully, I know, I think
they teased it last year with the guy who I
think it was. It's not Scribe or.

Speaker 2 (24:54):
Whatever, whatever, the squid whatever, the second in command was
to the Knights and the Brother to steal he got
bit like, oh, he's gonna become a super mutant, So
we'll see where that goes.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
Ron Perlman might be voicing the super Mutes, which is
great because he did the War, will never change his
line and fall Out three.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
Justin Thureau will be playing at Robert House, who is
a big villain in New Vegas the video game.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
So this is great. I mean, it's really looking and
combining all the things we liked from the first one,
and obviously we're going to New Vegas and so far
looking so good. Also, it looks like I'm entirely shore.
There's another We're going to experience a new vault. Yes,
to an agree.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
I think at one point even looks like there's different
vaults coming together because I think when when we see
a bunch of vault dwellers pop up over the sands,
it's like thirty two, thirty three, and thirty one.

Speaker 1 (25:48):
So we'll see what happen.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
Because remember at the end of last season, Rico from Hannah, Montana,
who was out in the show, is younger brother. He
stumbles upon where all the CEOs have been hiding out.
They're like buds buds or something or whatever. I think,
I remember the room boat was telling us.

Speaker 1 (26:05):
And it'll be interesting too because after the last season
I did like a vault deep dive and how each
vault was different and they were all experiments, like there
was one vault ahead all all women and one man,
and I don't know about all men and one women.
There were vaults that they got pressous button every day
otherwise when bad happens, and nothing ever happened. So it'd
be interesting to see if they take that lore and

(26:25):
try to this vault was a vaulted only served birthday
cake and nothing else, you know what I mean. There's
something like that, just to see if they keep that
vault Lore going yeah, yeah, yeah, and they're selling an
updated Vault pit Boy that's like actually like integrated. So
you remember back in the day, I think it's Fallout
four you could get as a pre order bonus or

(26:46):
is a deluxe edition, and you could put your phone
in it at the time. Now you don't even get
a phone. It doesn't for you. Look at that. I
used to have a pit Boy like screensater for my watch,
but I think it saw a lost support because it
doesn't work anymore. Fall Shelter used to be a thing.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
Wow, what a time, But yeah, I think also cool
thing is the flashbacks with Bolt and Gog. It's just
good to get him out of the Ghoul make up
the entire time. But those were actually good. They weren't
like okay, yeah, I don't really care. It was a
lot of like fill in the gaps of Fallout Lord.
You kind of know, but don't really know if you
read everything and every little piece of paper you found

(27:21):
in the games.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
Yeah, because if I remember correctly, his wife worked for Valtech.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
Right, yeah, and he was an actor who they then
used as the spokesperson to be the Vault Boy.

Speaker 1 (27:34):
I think the other thing was.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
There Matt Barry was in there for a hot second
because he was the voice of the Robots last season.

Speaker 1 (27:42):
Yeah, mister hand, I think, yeah, I'm really excited to
see this. I am a little bone that's we want
to be one a week, but I'll get over that quickly.
And this is something to look forward to every week,
and we've lost that with dispatch now, So I guess.

Speaker 2 (27:56):
I think it's also what we already said primarily a
real reason. But I think also Amazon's like, well, people watch,
like really liked it, so like we can stretch it
out now and know people will watch it, whereas last time.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
Like what we're gonna wrappen? You know? That's right, true,
That's very true. The test was a pass I guess
by them because they do have a loyal audience now.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
Yeah, and like Nintendo, Mic in the chat says, you
can too twitch that TV slash infimous square pods. The
collective vaulture of the fall Outlaw is disturbing but awesome reads.
It's a lot of it is like, uh, you discover
it in a playthrough and you kind of piece things together.
But I think the beauty of this show is obviously
got New Vegas and we kind of did its own

(28:36):
thing in California. We've kind of said this will maybe
they'll go to Boston as a falloff four, they'll go
to DC Fallout three, two and one. I don't really
know those were the Bethesda ones, but they can't piece
in all these different vaults and doesn't matter.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
Where they are because well to a degree.

Speaker 2 (28:53):
And it's just interesting things, one off stories or something
they wanted.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
To Yeah, that'd be really cool. And then even if
you wanted to floor pictures that I haven't seen that,
like what are the Florida balls? Like? What are the
Texas balls? Like all Texas balls? Just a bunch of
guns everywhere, you know what I mean? New State every season, Kevin,
New State every season, fifty seasons. Next season, Milwaukee, Milwaukee,
Milwaukee's a city. But overall great, Kevin. We get had

(29:22):
on over back to the normal of you right now
by being a boy the boom. That's great. We love that.
But something Kevin might not love. It's not Fallout related,
it's not Dispatch related. Well, it's DCU related, because apparently
Kevin's favorite character from Superman is getting his own TV

(29:43):
show and is getting paired with a villain that wasn't
even mentioned in the Superman movie because Jimmy Olsen apparently
is getting a new show with Gorilla Grod as the villain.
I just want to know why I liked Jimmy in
the movie. I thought he was one of the good
parts in the movie. Actual thought he was a little
mean to to his I guess, well, I guess Monker, Yes, yes, yeah,

(30:09):
she was actually her side, but because she seemed nice whatever.
I don't understand why we need another show connected to
Superman when uh, the next movie is called Supergirl. Uh.
And then also Peacemaker leads in Superman Too, and James

(30:31):
Gunn continues to give us things we don't want, besides
doing the things we all want to know, not even
give us the movie Who's Batman, Who's gonna be Batman?
Who's gonna be wonder Woman? That's kind of what we want,
and he's on everything, but it's just annoying me and all.
I'm sure it all work out in the end, and
I'll probably like watch the show and like it, but
at the same time, like Kevin, I haven't gotten in
a description of the damn show before you shared your opinions. Okay,

(30:53):
I'm sorry, I just back off. Take a chill pill
right now. Jeez, go cool down, Go get the water.
DC Studios and HBO Max, Yeah you go good.

Speaker 2 (31:04):
Drink out your bottle juice, Kevin needs a sippy cup
are developing a Superman spin off I'll be tentatively called
d C Crime, which will star Skyler Gazondo as Jimmy
Olsen working for The Daily Planet, which you also gotta think.
HBO Max has had Skyl Gassondo on the retainer for

(31:24):
a while because he was in Righteous Gemstones.

Speaker 1 (31:27):
He's in a bunch of other shows too.

Speaker 2 (31:29):
But apparently on the team from American Vandal, which was
the Netflix show that did pretty good, will be the
series writers and showrunners, and that the show will be
presented as a true crime docu series that would be
hosted by Jimmy Olsen, where the first season would focus
on Gorilla Gorilla Grod, who we know is a most
part of DC Villain set for the Flash. James Gunn

(31:53):
Piter Saffern will executive produce. But that's pretty much it.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
I think we kind of did talk about for the
longest time. He's in the right emode right there. The
longest time.

Speaker 2 (32:06):
There was the Arkham Asylum show, and there then there
was a Gotham PD show that was gonna be set
more in the Batman universe. I have a feeling they
took that parts and said, well, what can we scrape
out of that to put in the DCU. If anything,
we know James Gunn and the DCU likes to set

(32:26):
things up for back door ways of things to come in,
pretty much like a Peacemaker season two, We're.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
Like, what the hell are we talking about out the
end of that? If anything, that gets as closer to
having the Flash in the DCU, if you're introducing Guerrilla Grod.
But besides that, it is an interesting choice of another
dc show when, like you said, you have Supergirl, that's
the next big thing. We just finished up Peacemaker and
you got Lanterns and this is probably the next show

(32:54):
you would assume that's bigger in the DCU. Yeah, and
then do our season two command those two? Right? Yes?
I think, yes, yes, yes, I guess the true crime
spin is interesting. I'll give you that. It's interesting, but
still I just don't I'm not really into this and

(33:14):
I'm not really into this. And also because we've kind
of already seen how Gorilla Grod could be in a
live action series with the flash. Granted, it was a
c W budget, so it was a really odd looking Gorilla,
But at the same time I kind of saw it.
It was like, Okay, went after Obama and I was like,

(33:35):
whoa and Legends of Tomorrow. I never forget the way
I can't remember his name has been so long now,
but Barry's father father, what was his name? Joe? Yeah, Joe.
How scared he was in that sewer when Grod took him, Like,
I've never seen anyboy act like that one. Whoever, he
was like it was crazy. If this is a week

(33:58):
by week series about different villains, okay, if it's all
focused on really Grod, I'm kind of.

Speaker 2 (34:03):
Like, yeah, I have a feeling it's gonna be more
of a maybe it isn't like closer to an only
murders in the building, where it is all right, Grod
is your main villain, and is Jimmy Olsen doing some reporting?
I think they did say a good number of the
Daily Planet cast will also be in it.

Speaker 1 (34:21):
So you got Perry White, Uh, that's really online all
the other ones, Kat Grant, There you go. The sports
guy from SNL would be in it too. I think
that's cool.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
I think if anything gives you more posh and respect
to the Daily Planet as well and making it modernize
it not just a newspaper company in twenty twenty seven whenever.

Speaker 1 (34:43):
This comes out, but it'll be interesting.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
Also, can Skyler Gizondo carry an entire show and not
just be a side character that you think is funny.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
Also, I don't like the idea of just how to
introduce the Flash that is around. I like the Flash
needs maybe not his own show, because you've done that
for ten years. You know what looks like, but he
needs to show up in something like I need to
see the Flash in Superman Racing Superman. Well, I don't
need them to be mentioned.

Speaker 2 (35:12):
And that's an interesting question I have for you, Kevin,
because you you talked about and think you did before
we started this. When we're figuring out what stories we're
gonna talk about. I'm getting this over a Batman movie.
How do you want these characters introduced? Do you want
them in like we're talking about the Big the Big
One guy. You're wondering when Batman Flash lanterns.

Speaker 1 (35:31):
We already know what's going there.

Speaker 2 (35:32):
That's technically already been introduced to Guy Gardner, how do
you want them introduced in like a Superman movie as
a cameo or just say we're starting it off with
the movie immediately.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
Well, Wonder Woman and Batman. It needs to be a
movie because they are the Big three, so.

Speaker 2 (35:46):
Like they're not they're teased, but not cameo appearance. It's Batman, Hey,
Batman and the DCU start in twenty twenty.

Speaker 1 (35:53):
Eight, exactly. They need to be their own movies, their
own or not origin stories, but their own origin thing. Yeah,
with the other Ancillar just league members, we're getting the
Lanterns in next year. What was that next year? I
like that idea of basically a buddy cop thing between
two different lanterns, one training the new one. That's cool

(36:13):
with like the Flash. And also, I guess if you
want to say Martian Man, I don't think they'll do
much Man, but if they do Marsha Man Hunter, I
think the Flash needs to be introduced, say in a
Superman three or Superman two. Well, and that's the interesting
thing is you're referencing lanterns. Guy Gardner, was our soft
launch into Green Lantern territory. So the Grod then could
also be their soft launch into Flash territory. And we've

(36:36):
also talked about meta humans at the Wazoo, and you
got to think finger on the Pulse of America. Everyone
knows meta humans. You tie that with a Flash just
because of ten years of the Flash. You know, like
I would like if Superman because bury out, if they
do bury out, and I actually wish they would do
shoot I can't remember his name, Wally.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
West Well, And that's so interesting thing too, is you
confuse the hell out of peace people because you're like, well,
I thought it was Bury the entire time.

Speaker 1 (37:04):
Because Barry Allen is more Barry Allen is more similar
to Clark, where he's like a really really good guy
happens to be a superhero, whereas Wally West is a
little bit more it's a little more meat to that bone.
Like Wally West is more like Spider Man esque, like.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
He Yeah, I think in the DCU, if anything, they'll
do how they're doing with Lanterns. But I don't think
you have Wally West be the lead Flash even in
this universe.

Speaker 1 (37:30):
I mean, if this is again like in this world,
we've had many humans for like five hundred years, whatever
it is, one hundred years, we'll say that. Yeah, it'd
be cool if they mentioned that Barry Allen was around
one day and disappeared into the Speed Force Allah crisis.
That would be kind of cool. Actually scratched that.

Speaker 2 (37:44):
We technically they had the Justice Society because I remember
that was referenced in Superman.

Speaker 1 (37:50):
So there was a uh what yeah what that old
Flash shoot fake? There is a Jake Yerrick. There's a
legacy technically there. Yeah. Who I would love if they
if they do the whole Flash thing, Barry al and Walley.
I would love if Greg Guston and jayk That be
so cool. That would just be a cool Yeah. But

(38:14):
I feel like the Flash needs to be kind of
like a kid brother to Superman mm hmm, some something
to look up to, because you can't look up the Batman.
That needs to be like the old Man, the Batman
in some comics. She I'm mixing names here, not John Stewart,
but Hal Jordan's some commons. Hal Jordan and Barry ala

(38:34):
are really good friends. But I don't know, I feel
like they're going to make Hal Jordan Parallax. I don't know.
It's something in my in my funny Bones saying they
end up going and we still think Guy Gardner's gonna
be killed off in the beginning. Answered, So that would
be crazy if it's just this oftimate episode. Well there's
the ring right there, but that's that's to me. I

(38:56):
think the Flash deserves more than one episode of a
of a series with Jimmy like, oh yeah, and then
Grilla Grod was me evil. Then then it's got even
Flash to beat him, to see a red blur. Yeah, anyway,
next episode.

Speaker 2 (39:10):
Well maybe, I mean maybe that's how they tea up
like they do this show. Oh there's a red blur?

Speaker 1 (39:14):
Who was that?

Speaker 2 (39:15):
Must have been the Flash or something, and then you
get the movie like all right, well Flash is established
just to having that one line of of something. I mean,
obviously it's all great assault because we're supposed to. I mean,
I just went through DCU and pending shows. We still
have Booster Gold, which at one point we thought was
gonna be Komel Nanjianni. We have The Waller Show, which

(39:36):
that seems like that makes sense to happen, especially with
now it does everything with Peacemaker Paradise Loss, which is
supposed to be the Wonder Woman show without Wonder Woman
in it. Yeah, there is a apparently a Blue Beetles show,
another season of Creature Creators, which we know that's happening.
Mister Miracle is an animated thing that we saw an
image of, but that's it. Uh, and then you have

(39:57):
this so I'm it's still up in the air. I
swamp thing is also supposed to be a thing for
a movie. So who knows, really, but we're getting there.

Speaker 1 (40:08):
We're getting there. Once we get the lanterns and the Supergirl,
then we at least got some momentum. You just know,
we didn't have to wait this long for Captain America
and uh in a Hawk and Thor, you know what
I mean? I felt like it was like very it was.
It was two thousand and eight, was iron Man? Same
year was was was was Hank next year we had
Iron Man two and Captain America to me a Thor.

(40:29):
It came out very very not I don't say quickly,
but it was like sequentially, Yeah, it wasn't Superman then
Superman two. Also Supergirl. Also Peacemaker how about its groagehow
you know that's pretty cool? Boost to go like this
this Batman come on? Also another story kind of tea

(40:50):
with this kind of a one a of this of
this whole story. Uh.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
Main rumor line is that Lex Luthor will team I
was Superman take on Brainiac. But we've kind of know
not have been saying that for a while, but now
it's kind of getting more concreted, which is which is great,
you know.

Speaker 1 (41:06):
I mean, when Superman two comes out, God help us,
please have the Batman two come out before Superman two
comes out. But Batman two's filming now, so we got
that at least. That's the other thing. I kind of
wish they were gonna they were at least filming at
the same time, because I think the issue may be
now is whoever they choose to be the Batman, whoever
it is, would be the Batman DCU. They make the movie,

(41:28):
the movie comes out, he's going to be ultimately compared
to Rober Patsins's media.

Speaker 2 (41:32):
Yeah, it's not an amazing spider Man into Tom Hollands
spider Man.

Speaker 1 (41:36):
It's liter a year within each other. And I feel
like whoever that actor is is going to be the
Batman already not getting the fair shake. Because I love
our Pattins Batman, and I also love what that director
is doing with that franchise, making that more detective and
then just an action hero, which is cool. And I
just feel like, if they go the Rounte, I'm think
I'd go into with the next two. If they make

(41:56):
two more is the Court of Owls. It's going to
make a lot of Batman fans happy. And I feel like,
when the other Batman shows up in this little bit
more lighter, I want to say combook words, I'm like,
I don't I don't want this. I don't want I
don't think it's fair to that actor.

Speaker 2 (42:12):
But hey, that's the state of the DCU as of
right now. Call your finger right now November twenty twenty five.

Speaker 1 (42:19):
But Kevin, Luckily, while we're talking about one superhero universe
that we like but also we're worried about at the
same time, let's go to a different superhero universe because
we are gonna.

Speaker 2 (42:29):
Break down Dispatch the entire full season. So Casey Mason,
we've been talking about this game for the past like
four weeks. Because Dispatch is a superhero episodic game from
the makers that used to work for Telltale. They made

(42:50):
their own studio called ad Hoc Studios. Essentially, you play
Robert Robertson, who is voiced by Aaron Paul who is
a former Ironman type hero Mecca Man who's loses his
suit and has to work for SDN, a superhero dispatch
network where you dispatch heroes to certain calls and you're
prepared with Z Team, which is kind of a suicide

(43:12):
squad team of losers.

Speaker 1 (43:15):
There was like a show loosely kind of like this.
I remember a few years ago. It was based in
the DC world, though, and it was like an insurance
firm powers I think it was power and like Bruce
Wayne's brother worked there or something to It didn't hit
Atlanta like this one did, but I remember they kind

(43:36):
of tried this a couple of years ago. I think
it was a little bit a little bit too early
for for people kind of get it, but they tried it.
I think it was NBC show on NBC was Powerless.
That's what it was called, Powerless, and Vanessa Hudgens was
in it. You're right.

Speaker 2 (43:50):
It was on NBC and Alan Tutic was like Bruce
Wayne's cousin or something like that. That's essentially it was
like they're set in DC but they work on it
was like they work on the tech that powers DC,
like the DC univers It was something like that. Yeah,
pretty pretty much, very akin to that we've been talking

(44:13):
about the past few weeks because it has been an
episodic release and very akin to the Telltale games.

Speaker 1 (44:18):
Uh, that's how they how they used to release.

Speaker 2 (44:20):
But this has been great because it's been weekly, so
every week there's been two new episodes culminated this week
obviously on Wednesday, and it's been fun to talk about
it's a TV show.

Speaker 1 (44:29):
Versus the video game, even though it is a video game,
that's kind of a TV show. Yeah, but Kevin nonspoiler.
That's why we left at the end of the podcast.

Speaker 2 (44:38):
That way you can determine if you actually want to
play it this holiday season, because it's getting very well
reviewed now. So if you are looking for a game
to play before the holidays, are asked, uh, this might
be the game to get.

Speaker 1 (44:48):
Oh yeah, last the thing I saw is that one
million news were sold in the first two weeks of
the release, which is really good for U. Basically a
true jot adventure a video game, not really much action
what you do in the show and in the game,
I mean, but I loved every minute of this. I
mean like kind of like God of War sometimes where

(45:09):
they have those very long, extended dialogue scenes, and sometimes
I think like, like for me, when you can replay
those games, you getting struggle with skip through, like come on,
I want to say, yeah, yeah, boy, let's get do it.
But this one I was locked in and I was
happy that I couldn't skip anything because it was so
much stuff that was shown or told to you during

(45:31):
these dialogue scenes. And again, like I said, there's not
much like this is not an open world game. It's
not like a game where you gotta you know, press
X to jump or double door yeah, weapon load. I
was like, this is this is a completely story driven
game that that for me had me locked in from
episode one all the way through because then even to
open up episode one, when you're actually uh mecha man

(45:54):
and I guess in its full mecha madness, it's like,
what is this? What's going on? I thought it was
about dispatching, and then you got you go through all
the stuff and see what's going on. And then once
you meet all the characters Robert Robinson, Blue Blazer, your
Z team chase to guys that actually work at SDN.
You kind of dive into this world. It's like, this
is kind of like Fallout and follow this they set

(46:16):
up a really cool world I'm really really interested in now.
But the only thing I can say negative about it
I wish I could have walked around in the world
and kind of explored it, because it made it really, really,
really interesting. That's not the game they made. But all
in all, this was one of the best game experiences
I've probably had this year. Maybe I don't. I don't.
I don't know if it's a godie. I don't know

(46:37):
if it is that yet a lot of people are
are thrown that out there. I'm not good at choosing
games of the year because I don't know the whole
game sphere when it comes to indie games and rile.
I don't. I just know this is one of the
best games I've played all year, and I definitely recommend it.

Speaker 2 (46:50):
And then out of ten we'll go, we'll go, what
points would you get out of ten Long Donuts?

Speaker 1 (46:58):
What would you get? Give it? I would give this,
say this, I would give this that long nine long donuts.
Nine long donuts. You'll get that.

Speaker 2 (47:08):
We'll get to the spoiler part of this podcast, but
I pretty much agree with Kevin as the Teiltale guy
on the show has played everyone set the expanse one,
and I'm really tempted.

Speaker 1 (47:19):
To buy this that holiday season. This holiday season, for sure,
I'll be on seal by now it's like three years old.
This is definitely the next evolution.

Speaker 2 (47:27):
If you've played the Telltale games, you've wanted because I
think for the longest time the Telltale games were stuck.

Speaker 1 (47:33):
In the same engine.

Speaker 2 (47:34):
I think just because of the studio and who in
corporate why they own the studio and all that good stuff.
But this is Hey, we don't have to be stuck
in that very twenty sixteen Here's well looks like a
clay madeen face with some celf shading on it. Now
we can have something that looks like completely like hand
drawn cartoons, like an Invincible or animation.

Speaker 1 (47:57):
Amazing. It's great. It's very clean too, which is amazing.
Music is great.

Speaker 2 (48:03):
We will talk about that in a second, because Kevin's
obsessed with the soundcheck in this game, and I think
really the voice actors killed it. I know we talked
about originally, we've talked about a couple weeks now that
when you had all these big streamers, like in a
lot of Peers or a voice critical or even a
young Gravy and technically a thought squad, You're like, Okay,
they're probably going to do that much acting compared to

(48:24):
you know, an Aaron Paul or Jeffrey Wright. But I
think the whole thing came together. He loved all the characters,
and I think that's why it's it's such a good
time because it is like we talked about when we
first watched Invincible, not really knowing about it, but not
knowing about it like.

Speaker 1 (48:40):
This is great, this is so awesome. Same effect, I
think with this same effect with the Boys, like it
is like, oh my god, this is a great world.
I want to be in it.

Speaker 2 (48:47):
I want to see where these characters grow. I don't
know anything about season two right now. It definitely should
have one. They'll figure that out eventually, especially with the
success of this, but I think it's well worth your time.
I think it It is a goady and tender for sure.
For me, it probably is my modern my current game
of the year, because it's the only game I've played
this year that came out for this year besides everything else.

(49:09):
Has been old games this year for me, but I
enjoyed it. I would give it also a I'd give
it a nine and a half long John. So it's
half a long John in there too. So if that
gives you anything, play it now, Kevin, here comes to
spoiler parts. We're going to compare and contrast. It's the
best thing about these Telltale games.

Speaker 1 (49:27):
What did you do versus what did I do? And
did we end up in the same spot. That's always
a fun part of this. Actually, that's always a really
really fun part of these kind of these kind of
multiple multiple ending games.

Speaker 2 (49:39):
Yes, so, Kevin, first one out the bet, who did
you romance in this game?

Speaker 1 (49:46):
In this play through?

Speaker 2 (49:47):
I have Romance and VisiC gal Okay. Now my question
with that is did you stay with Visical at the
very end of the game or did you lose it?

Speaker 1 (49:57):
I stayed with her. Actually I did cut her because
the team wanted me to, but cut her from the team,
not cut her physically. Yeah, I cut her from the
team because what happened at the plant was trying to
trying to get the the henmulary batteries came what the
thing it's called a pol this term from Guardians harbullary batteries.

(50:19):
But I cut her because the team wanted me to.
But also when Royd called her, I cut her loose
and I helped her get through the thing to get
get get to the Mecca suit. So at the end
of the at the end of the whole game, I
actually ended up with her and everything it was. It
was a nice little bull wrapped all together. It was
very very happy ending. Yeah for me. I also romance

(50:40):
in visigal really the game in this in the option
it was between her blonde blazer. There also was a
third option. We didn't romance anybody. I didn't do that.

Speaker 2 (50:49):
I stilled it in visical the whole time. I did
not cut her from the team. Uh and she took
a bullet for me. Did she take a bullet for you, Kevin?

Speaker 1 (50:55):
Yes, she did. Apparently what I did is very rare.
Cut her and still have her uh coming here. Yeah,
So I was like, oh sweet, I'm gonna one eight percent. Awesome,
there you go.

Speaker 2 (51:07):
Uh yeah, I pretty much stayed true with her the
whole time. You know, the team didn't like me to
a degree, but that's okay. We still managed. I think
the cool thing is the last episode was dope because
it was kind of like a boss battle in the
dispatch level of this game, where it was, hey, here's
some tiny calls, but you got to take on the
big boss. Who was the hero you dropped, which mine
was Sonar. You dropped Coop, right, keV. I dropped Sonar too, uh,

(51:31):
which was cool because you're like, oh, if I want
to do well, I had to beat them, but I
also got to handle all the rest of these goals
too at the same time.

Speaker 1 (51:38):
Did you beat them?

Speaker 2 (51:39):
I did barely though, because I thought over a seconds
like we're getting in there close, and I thought, this
is the coolest thing in this game. Was the very
final episode. It's it's the longest episode. I think it
was maybe like an hour and a half compared to
forty five minutes each episode was the Dispassion was like,
all r, hey you got you're starting with two. You
got to get all your other ones because they lost

(52:00):
contact with you. And then just when you think you're
about to lose on one of the big missions, he goes, I.

Speaker 1 (52:06):
Don't know where it's John Cena. It's blond Blazer comes in.
I was like, hell, yeah, this is great. That was
pretty cool. Actually I didn't beat Sonar unfortunately, because honestly
I forgot about him, like I was doing all the
other calls, like oh, shoot, that's all over there, we'll
do that, let me go do that. Well.

Speaker 2 (52:21):
So that's the main difference then between us for the
most part, UH is if you beat the boss Sonar
in this situation, you then can add him back to
the team or not add him back to the team.

Speaker 1 (52:31):
So I added him back to the team at the end.
I didn't have a choice too. She was like, yeah,
let'm run in jail for a while. Went dang cold bloody.
He had a scar now and it's cool. Now did
you kill Shroud or spare him? Kevin? I destroyed him,
like I have no place for you in my life.
We're punching you. We're punching and choking you to death.
I had thought it was gonna be a little bit

(52:53):
more of a brutal scene than what it was. I thought,
maybe he's gonna use a gun from uh Becca, man,
it's like a blulerate him. But now I told him
to death. Who oh this person?

Speaker 2 (53:01):
I spared him, so I only punched him to a
little bit. Uh did you give Shroud both the actual
pulses or one of them.

Speaker 1 (53:07):
So I had I was going to give him the
fake one, and then once that's all both, oh both,
I don't know what we're doing here, let me get
both one. And it was funny. He's like, what the
hell is this? So if you said you want an
actual pulse, it's one of them. You figure it out
and it makes everyone vomit at the end. But it's
funny because it turns out though, no matter if you
did the fake one or the or the the one,

(53:28):
the real one, you took it to the rial one basically,
because if you give him a fake one, he basically
just stows the way, like I know you would do that.
Give them the real one? You done me. If you
give him a real one, he just puts it all
the way in and get the dog back. But the
fake one, it's the only Way's like, I don't know,
do now? Yeah? I do this. It was great and
I think that's the cool thing is the beauty of
this game. It had.

Speaker 2 (53:45):
I don't know if it's just because of us, the
TikTok effect where it was you're hearing thought squad stuff
all the time, but you're getting different clips of play
throughs and like, ah, like it comes out of Wednesdays.
I'm getting clips, Like I gotta play this before I
get more clips and get spoiled even more.

Speaker 1 (54:00):
Two degree. All right, we did that, We did that?
Oh what us? What member did you add to your team? Uh?
I guess in like episode four, I guess, yeah, did
you add oh so phenomena, phenomena manons I added? I
added water Boy.

Speaker 2 (54:17):
Okay, so water Boy was your late minute ad mine.
I started with water Boy. Now this is interesting. So
when you cut or didn't cut in visigal, did you
have the scene with water Boy or no water Boy?

Speaker 1 (54:29):
Yeah, where you kind of had to like pump him
up and be like come on, man, I need you.
But then he threw the chair in the vending machine. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (54:38):
So that's interesting because with me with water Boy, I
was like, this makes more sense. But if you're like,
how does Waterboy interact with Chase at all?

Speaker 1 (54:45):
Yeah? So when we actually when it came on the team,
I did a pretty good job of building him up
because by that time, all of my heroes were I
built all my heroes like basically I had the same
like course at so everything was kind of equal. So
when I doubled them up, it was just everything I
did a good job. I was kind of getting him
built up pretty fuit quickly because you only we only
had like two calls with him basically for the band

(55:07):
game stuff. So you're a pretty good job not gonna lie. Well.

Speaker 2 (55:10):
I think that's the cool thing is because we've both
talked about we're doing two playthroughs of the game, and
in visical one and pretty much a Blonde Blazer one.
I think obviously having a different playthrough gives a little
bit more context the certain things that happen, mainly when
bomb Blazer loses their necklace and gives it the chase
at the end of the game.

Speaker 1 (55:26):
Oh I know what that is.

Speaker 2 (55:29):
But I think the cool thing was my first playthrough,
I made everyone equal, like you just said. But in
the second play through, I've just been saying, oh, you're
going to be that smart guy, you're gonna be strong guy,
you're gonna be fighty guy.

Speaker 1 (55:40):
And that's been more successful than doing the well balanced ones.
I found out. Yeah, I'm a sucker for balance. So
that's why I just like that pentagram, that pentagon expanding
even more. It say chase me. It makes me happy. Okay,
we did that, we did that any other big decisions.
So you ended up kissing in VisiC at the end, right, yes,

(56:01):
And it was very sweet and I really enjoyed it.

Speaker 2 (56:03):
It really made me happy, and I think that's interesting
thing is the main divergence was probably the romance, and
then how you treated in Visigal as a hero or
a villain.

Speaker 1 (56:15):
Is episode four.

Speaker 2 (56:16):
It's like you go on a date with in Visigal,
or you stay at work and eat dinner with Blonde Blazer.
It was like at the that game in that episode
that has that very spicy scene in the beginning of
that game, You're like, I don't know who I like,
but then that happens, Like, oh now, it's made me
difficult because I've ruminated on that the entire episode. And
then I just felt the Invisigal date was more wholesome

(56:39):
because it was like we're going on movies and it's
like she's always been by herself, but you're hanging out
with her watching a movie.

Speaker 1 (56:44):
But really good on the game design and the game
writers that like, before that, you kind of had all
this I don't want say tension, but this chemistry. Blue
Blazes are built up for the episode one, two, and three,
and even a little bit of four after after the
steaming scene. But then the steamy scene happens, and it's
like everybody's like, no, I'm good and visit girl all
the way Blue Basic could be a friend, but the
visit girl, Visit girl, it won't spend in my life

(57:06):
with Yeah, I mean I think overall the episode ended great,
or the whole end the great. It is interesting cool
that like you know, the villain or your your hear
you cut comes back at the end to sort of
just have some just symbolism of like what is this
team about?

Speaker 2 (57:23):
Like even like growth. I mean you love thought squad
as prism and so you've been loving the sound. Do
you beloved her songs from the game.

Speaker 1 (57:30):
Yeah, A lot of my TikTok feed has been different
people reacting to number one, the song she's songs called
host song is called it plays doing the bar fight scene.
It's actually a pretty good song. I've listened to it
a lot. But everybody's been a lot of people reacting
to when she blinds a guy trying to attack her
on stage and he goes, oh, no, you took pretty

(57:51):
blinded me and then she goes temporary, no, you're blind forever.
It's like forever. She literally stole the whole game with
that one line. Like everything, like to the point where
people are just posting T and why be you hy
blind for a baby? But just the first letter everywhere
you want to post everywhere? Yeah, and it's really funny.

Speaker 2 (58:13):
I think that was the interesting thing is like at
first you're like, oh, I don't know about these actors,
but they each had like a standout moment because I
think galam uh Or was great because obviously he defends
you if you reveal your name to everybody, but also
there's there's a bunch of quests that you're like, we've
had really great, funny lines, and then you didn't realize.

Speaker 1 (58:31):
Oh, this would have been a whole little side adventure.
I would have gone on where I think it's there's
a Kaiju battle and like episode two, and if you
send Gol, he's like, oh, it's like there's a baby
Kaiju here, and then he goes and if you say, oh,
recruit a madame as your family, like I guess I'm
a dad now, and then you pop up later in
the very le in episode eight, the Kaiju returns and

(58:53):
if you make Gallum the parent, then Golm's like, I
got idea with my kid right now. I didn't do that.
That's that's really funny. Yeah, like you said, like these
weren't you know, it wasn't Tory Baker and all other
people we know from being and never every game we
played Bailey. Yeah, but otherwise it was just a bunch
of really online influencers and they were really really good.

(59:15):
I don't know if it's more on one of those
things whereas like they wrote it for how they hear
them on the online that way, it was kind of
like that, Like, for example, the Flambay guy, like he
was amazing. He sounds exactly the same exactly. Jack Septic
got killed it.

Speaker 2 (59:30):
He got to do the Superman shotgun arms, and he
was punging ding dongs all the end.

Speaker 1 (59:34):
Of the game. I gotta got just for you, just
for you. But overall really enjoyed it.

Speaker 2 (59:40):
I think it is interesting. And Mike does bring it
up just as a counterpoint. He see nothing dispatch, even
though we've been talking. Put your phone closer to the podcast,
but put your phone, put your phone right next to it,
listening and make your TikTok heroes saying he's seen nothing,
but he's still see new videos of Expedition thirty three.
I think it really is you know what you like

(01:00:00):
and what what it entertains you right now. And I
think obviously Kevin and I have had back and forth
text and word of mouth this of this game. If anything, Hey,
it's a good game. So overall we both enjoyed it,
and I think it needs it deserves a season two.
If anything, I think if they wanted to do and
Kevin wanted to see what you think they would do
for season two, it'd be cool to go. I think

(01:00:23):
this one is primarily la go to New York or something,
and then you have certain characters make a cameo, like
you have a Meca Man pop up, you have a
Visigal pop up for like, oh, who do you want
to recruit your team? And that way it's separate but
also connected the same thing.

Speaker 1 (01:00:39):
Yeah, I think that's an easy way to do it.
Like maybe maybe you watched Chase has been deployed, like
I said, to in New York to help out with
their SDN in Manhattan. Yeah, in Long Island. Yeah, that's
what Jans is of the game. That's when you meet
all your characters and meet your character you want to be,
because maybe the chase is your way in, but you
actually want to be, you know. I don't know William

(01:01:01):
Williamson generic names every time. Real quick, though, what was
what was your favorite episode? Oh, that's interesting. I don't know.
I think I enjoyed all of them over I mean,
I think.

Speaker 2 (01:01:17):
I can't tell you, Kevin, I enjoyed all of them
because I think for I think four's ending was good.
I think that's just like stood out because I'm like,
I picked the right decision with the movie date, you know, and.

Speaker 1 (01:01:27):
I remember that, and I think.

Speaker 2 (01:01:30):
Probably four I did actually did like the beginning of
episode seven, where was the flashback and when we've both
found out that younger Chase Jeffrey Right's character was his
son that voiced them that was to keep up.

Speaker 1 (01:01:42):
And I'm like, this is a whole sum and it's
the Twinkie connection and all that stuff. Yeah, I think mine,
I think it's five. Is that that's one with a
bar fight For me is it's so much fun, so
much character because it was kind of like the middle
of the movie where everybody's friends for a little while
before the descending you know, action whatever like that, and
just from Flambak sing and I'm gonna be my name

(01:02:03):
is Robert in the beginning of it, actually good shift
as a dispatch crew and kind of let's got's talk
to the bar and and they of course of descending
to the bar fight. But then even how they actually
split it was you cut too after the bar fight
and they actually at a taco place and every time
you open a taco condiment, it's in the bar fight. Yeah, overall,

(01:02:28):
I think a good time.

Speaker 2 (01:02:29):
I think both of us recommend you try it during
crisis me give me get some PlayStation or Xbox credit.
Because it's they're not a physical version of it yet.
I assume if it does, that's maybe when you'll get
a deal or maybe an endless mode of dispatch you,
which would be pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (01:02:45):
That would be cool.

Speaker 2 (01:02:46):
I did like in the final episode where it was like, oh,
Bookworm needs your help, I'm like, who the ellse Bookworm Like, oh, yeah,
that's the ladies from the first uh the trial run
you did like, oh yeah, that's who that is.

Speaker 1 (01:02:58):
That was going on. But also if I do do
a future episode, because you really only react with react,
interact with Chase stn Blue Blazer Royd and sometimes that
one guy that wears the headcover I can't remember his name,
but him. It was only like the first episode and
like the sixth and seventh, and it was really only

(01:03:19):
through like dispatch messages. So I will actually like maybe
one that's more base, not based on but more interaction
with which your office mates. Because also with the guy
in the cat costume, but that was like two episodes again,
it was it was when he made the coffee and
gave it and put the little Irish swhisky in it
for Rob and then at the end of the end
of the end of the game. So I would like,
maybe if then do do another one kind of focused,

(01:03:40):
not focused, but shine all right into your your coworkers
basically yeah, or maybe it is you get the because
that there was a leader board.

Speaker 2 (01:03:47):
You get access to like the top ten. This there's
like you're a different dispatcher, but you get access to
the better team than z T.

Speaker 1 (01:03:53):
You get white team. That would be That would be cool.
That would be I hope they don't do what most
games do and like if you pay extra fine not
you can pick your team with the top Star. I mean,
but here's the thing. This game was what is a
It's forty bucks retail Like, yeah, I mean, I had
a good time with it. I'll pay five bucks to
play it again. So that's the other thing. This is
not a full price game. This is two CRISP twenty

(01:04:16):
dollars bills. I'm not gonna deal with that. I can
deal with that.

Speaker 2 (01:04:19):
Oh actually, yeah, it's forty for the Deluxe and thirty
for the standard. You don't need the digital Deluxe. It
just gives you the comics. The comics and the the
art book, which is cool. I did comics did give
you good context to things. You don't need it necessarily,
but overall, a good time. I think we both recommend it.
I think you couldn't tell.

Speaker 1 (01:04:40):
I can't believe too, because apparently this actually was pitched
as a TV show and nobody pick it up. I'm
like you, guys man, at one point it was a
Ubisoft game. So let that sink in. You be solved.
I've read someself about you be solved, like they paused
trading on their stocks, and I think we remember you
had some sad news. Next week we'll find out that's

(01:05:00):
a screen though, appreciate it. Thank thank you, thank you. Anyway,
that's what we thought about Dispatch. Like we said, try
out the game. I think it's well worth it. I
think the voice acting is great alone. If anything, it's
a late goadye uh contender. We'll see though, because the
Game Game Award nominations come out literally this later this week,
so we will see if it made the cut or
if it didn't make the cut. You will see. I

(01:05:23):
don't think it's gonna win. I think Claire up City
in like thirty three, that game's taking over the world
this last year, So that's that's probably you're like, you're chewing.
I don't know. Can you bet like one fan duel?
Put the godies? I haven't feeling. Hey, if the Game
Awards are on Prime Video this year, I have a
feeling some fan duels some Vegas bet and might get
in there too. Oh we got sponsored by Game Game

(01:05:46):
of Award like betting service. That'd be awesome.

Speaker 2 (01:05:49):
Also, I will say, I'm really because this game was
brought to you by Critical Role uh or sorry. Dispatch
was like produced through Critical Role to a degree. I
don't know how much of a role they pun intended
with the game. Uh, but it has me given a
hunkering hankering for Balder's Gate three, which was the other
big D and D spired games.

Speaker 1 (01:06:11):
Yeah, that took over the world. That was the same
last year. I think, Yeah, you're Survivor. It might be wrong.
Maybe like that Win twenty twenty three Jerry Survivor. Yeah
it makes sense. Uh yeah I might. I might ask
for Christmas and just like make me a little little
dwarf when we see how far my dwarf can go.
You know, hey, I love I will loved those kind

(01:06:33):
of games again. But the two kids will let me
do that. You have time. Let them pick the carrecter,
let them make the character Kevin. That way you can
play when and that's third entertainment for the night. No.
I had to argue with a two year old last night.
Watched almost two of Why the Controller was Mine and
not hers, So that was fun. He'd be like, all right, hey,
what do you want the vampire lady to do? Guys?
Do you want the vampire lady to charm the dwarf

(01:06:55):
Goblin king or do you want him to chop his
head off? Then you don't know how your kids are doing. Really, too,
kill him, kill them all, rain with blood with terror. Well, hey,
maybe Ball to Kate three review coming to a podcast
near you in the far distant future. I'll tell you no,

(01:07:18):
I don't see the podcast anyway.

Speaker 2 (01:07:21):
We will be back, uh on Thursday talking about Wicked
for good. Mara will be making a special appearance on
the podcast. Uh because as far as we know, she's
the Wicked experts right now.

Speaker 1 (01:07:35):
So we'll see. Maybe we'll do a quick wive episode,
we'll have I'll have Alsia review and maybe we do that.

Speaker 2 (01:07:41):
We shall see, but get ready, we'll be talking about
that Thursday. We'll be doing non spoiler, then spoiler. If
he's a player, you kind of know what's going on,
that's okay. And then uh, yeah, we're just getting ready
for Thanksgiving and all.

Speaker 1 (01:07:52):
That good stuff cause that's later a week and a
half away. And also we're like a month away from
a certain Avengers trailer, so about that as well. M
that is true, and in less than a month away
from John Cena's final match in Washington. Uh. His final raw,
by the way, is Monday, So tonight watch that stay

(01:08:13):
up late. Dang it, Nah, I fight, You're fine.

Speaker 2 (01:08:16):
But anyway you can see everything we talked about today
so much more at Infinite Underscore Pods on the Instagram

Speaker 1 (01:08:34):

but until then, my name is Gullin Hoodie and I

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
