Speaker 3 (02:54):
Oh man, spoiler, I don't know it came out in December.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
Really a spoiler because that's kind of been announced. The
whole spiel when they announced it was they were in
Santa Hats when they announced Kevin.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Damn it, how dare you? Why'd you do this? Then
you want two together with the Santa has But we
always start the podcast with them properly. We like to
call what You're doing? Where we talking about the shows
and movies.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
We've been watching games, we've been playing, lives, we've been
living because of this Thursday, Yeah, boy gets to go first,
and I am happy to say I'm finally getting a
haircut tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
I'm going to a new place. Yep.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
We talked about decision paralysis on on Monday's podcast. Well,
the decision is happening and it's going full force. So
I'm excited to see what a new barber will do
to my hair because I thought my hair looked pretty
good when I got to cut for my brother's wedding,
and that was with the professional barber instead of like
going to a hairstylist.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
So it is what it is.
Speaker 3 (03:49):
Are you going to Floyd's.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
I'm not going to Floyd's. I'm going to something that's
about ten dollars more expensive.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
So let's hope we get ten dollars more of a
good time. I don't know.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
I have a quick question, and because I just don't
know how much is a haircut for I had to
say a white person.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
That's okay for me.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
When I would go to Floyd's, it'd be like forty
dollars before tip, and that would be without shampoo. The
whole thing is do you want shampoo you're not, It
depends what you want. Also, I kind of like the
shampoo because then it gets rid of all the like
the dead hair, the little snippy hairs you have that
get all behind your ears and stuff out.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
But it is what it is.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
For the place I'm going to, it's gonna be sixty
dollars but includes a next shave. So I'm like, hell, yeah,
let's let's two for one here.
Speaker 3 (04:37):
Because I don't go to barber shop anymore, but I
have a couple of friends that do. I mean, one
of them told me that to get a shape up,
and their beard trim is now almost seventy to eighty dollars.
Speaker 2 (04:46):
I'm like, oh yeah, wow, would be the beard stuff?
Is what costs you?
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Because you're like, oh yeah, just blah blah it's twenty bucks,
like oh on top of a haircut. Yeah yeah, it's expensive,
especially if you have a nice beard or anything like that.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
Yeah, like my beard isn't like trimmed, but I'm sure
some nobody can't really like diagnose it to some of
the nobod's looking up at me is looking down there's
a beard.
Speaker 2 (05:05):
It's fun.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
But yeah, I can't do it on prices, man, that's crazy.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
But yeah, so I'm excited that'll be tomorrow. Like I said,
Dragon Ball Diima is done more and I I think
are about to start start over the Garden Wall, which
was one of those little like cartoon network gem darlings
from back like ten years ago during the rise of
like Chowder or not really more. Adventure Time in Steven
(05:33):
Universe's a mini series is like five episodes. I think
Elijah Woods one of the characters. It is funny because
the first thing we've seen of HBO max getting rid
of all it's like cartoons, because typically it used to
be all on there, but now they've kind of been
piece mailed. So Netflix will have some things. Prime Video
now is the home to that show. Hulu has Adventure Time.
(05:55):
It's all over the place, which is wild.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
Definitely a I mean, I guess maybe the viewer count whatever,
but I was like, that's what got all your cartoons, Yeah,
especially because like them.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
But I think a Venture Time might also still be
available on there. But like those type of shows like
I'm talking like that and like Avatar, like those are
the ones that like people got real into during the pandemic.
Speaker 2 (06:18):
You know, like so and have big fan base.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
Re review of Avatar doing a pandemic. It's been not
already ten years at that point.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
Hell yeah, and it was worth it because my Godoy
and Retreat.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
With everything else that came after that.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
But so I'm excited for us hopefully watch that because
TikTok already heard. I was watching it, and tiktoks for
the damn show, like no, skip, please, no, please, no,
I don't want to.
Speaker 3 (06:43):
That's the worst one. Duck spoils you for a game
war show like Damn Dan.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
And then I'm happy to say I did start the
One Piece live action show finally on Netflix. I'm on
the third episode now, and unfortunately I don't think I'm
vibing with it still.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
Yeah, have you watched the actual anime?
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Uh No, obviously, I've had the family guy effect of
it through the years of just like you know, Loofy's
popped up and so many things jump force that video game.
He's been in the Ruto Nauruto a little bit, and
you kind of know what he is. He's been a
Macy's Day Parade float in a balloon. I know it's
(07:27):
about pirates. My brother back in the Day did have
a game Boy Advance game that I did play occasionally
that so I knew Buggy the Clown was like a
villain that like you chopped him up and he could
still like be alive no matter what body party had.
But besides that, it's a lot of like oh okay,
And it's weird because like I watched Cowboy Bebop. They're
(07:49):
very reminiscent of Cowboy Bebop. But I think Netflix invested
in One Piece because they have the anime and because
people know One Piece more. It's a bigger e myth.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
I guess the different the different eras of anime in America,
different different animals have been The King, like the King anime,
and right now One Piece is the King where it
was NA and before that was Dragon ball Z.
Speaker 1 (08:11):
And it's all cyclic, cyclical, whatever's got a new thing out,
what's gotten new on strimming too exactly.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
I'll never watch it because it's just too many episodes
and I don't.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
Know, yeah, I mean, and that's why I was like,
only watch a live action. It's weird.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
It just feels empty two degree, like all this stuff
is happening, or it's like kind of on a stage
play and not like in a full world.
Speaker 2 (08:32):
But you know, I'm three episodes in, I'm still willing
and give it.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
A chance and watch it. But a true, true litmus
test for me on a show is if I get
distracted and go do other things, that means I'm not
like that's that's a different tier of me watching the
show versus Alien Earth, which we'll.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Talk about in a little bit. I'm focused and dead
sit on watching that.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
You know, One Pieces is now like doctor who Loves
with Me? Whereas like, there's so much of it, I
just I'm overwhelmed kind of about other last year of Starfield.
There's so much to do. I just like I don't
know what to do.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
Yeah, and it will be interesting obviously because once Stranger
Things is over on Netflix, you'll kind of see Netflix
really get away from that type of model of show.
And usually you know the Netflix curse, we's got three
seasons and you're canceled. So you know, One Piece did
announce this is getting a third season, but you know
there are a thousand episodes of One Piece animated right now,
(09:25):
So like where if it will stop it gets canceled?
Speaker 2 (09:28):
Is that good? Jumping off point till let me go watch.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
The anime now because I've seen like these storylines to
a degree.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
And again like I feel like that show has to
have an end date live action because we all know
what live action TV shows. The longer longer it goes on,
more to cast makes they can't have what eight.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
Episodes of action they could, Kevin, they could. We're gonna
make it General Hospital or whatever those soap operas are show.
And then I did have a story meant to share
about it on Monday. But over the weekend, I I
did go to a couple of card shops because I
I found out I didn't have a complete master set
of my Pokemon one fifty one, which was you know
a couple like last year, went the whole set because
(10:11):
my brother.
Speaker 2 (10:13):
It was cool.
Speaker 1 (10:13):
I went to Dream Wizards or Dream Wizard in Rockville's
right by the station, so that's that's real great.
Speaker 2 (10:19):
It was like five minutes away.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
It wasn't there when I was there.
Speaker 1 (10:22):
It was I think we just we weren't really in
cards like that like we used to, like we are
now we make it cool, which that one was really cool.
I went on a Friday and they had a car
is a whale ord card, which is that whale looking Pokemon.
I was like, oh, that'd be cool. I'll come back,
like it's fourteen dollars. Maybe I'll go to a couple
other shops to see how much it is. Came back
(10:43):
on Sunday because your boy was live on Hot ninety
nine to five.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
It was gone. I was like, damn it. Should have
bought it when I was there.
Speaker 3 (10:50):
They always say I get I'll get it next time,
and then next time never know.
Speaker 1 (10:53):
Yeah, but that was pretty cool shop. If you're in
like the Moco area, that's probably your go to shop
to get stuff. They good bevy of everything there too,
which is pretty dope because a.
Speaker 2 (11:03):
Lot of people.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
I didn't want to go to like closets in the
wall because there's a lot of stores, especially in Arlington,
where it's just like, yeah, we ranted a closet in
like an office park and that's where we sold our cards.
Speaker 2 (11:15):
And they had that smell to him. And then it's weird.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
Because like you're the only one in there, or it's
super crowded. You're like, this is too much anxiety. You
already get anxiety enough going in there, Like hey, I'm
just here to look and maybe I'll buy a card.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
There's a store I usually go to I've been in
a while actually on Harford Road in Baltimore County called Cards,
Comments and Collectible. That's all we have, really is cards.
But I always go right through to the toys and
I never look at anything else. I know they hate
me for it.
Speaker 1 (11:42):
And you're like, they're like, no, please, look, the cards
are here for a reason. I do think it is
funny that glass cases for cards are just timeless, like
since like the nineties and two thousands. It's still a
big old glass case with the cards on a tiny
shelf in the glass case.
Speaker 3 (11:56):
They did it right once, and you know what, whatever.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
You stick with it, baby, we got it, uh, And
then I did once I went to Gaming Giant, which
is in Fairfax. They used to have an old location,
but they got like a new like big ass location now,
which is pretty dope. And h I'm looking for like
the cheap cards of the set and more is giving
me permission to do it because they're like fifteen cents
a card, which is great. But I didn't realize us
(12:19):
the first time I went through a bulk box, which
is those big white boxes you see sometimes they don't
organize them.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
They're just whatever we get we put in there.
Speaker 1 (12:26):
So I had to like look and it took like
on maybe an hour just finding two cards I needed.
Speaker 3 (12:32):
That's that's funny you say that because I go to
Foruicle Toys that's the same thing. But it's like a
box of randomness action figures, so it's like you know,
sub zero Michaelangelo Batman.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
Yeah everything, Hell yeah, that's my dream movie right there.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
But yeah, uh s overall, good time, and uh, I
think Eric and I have talked about potentially going to
a trading card convention in September, so we might go
and see what happens.
Speaker 2 (13:00):
You got trading what'd you say? What'd you say, keV?
Speaker 3 (13:03):
You got Eric in the trading cards.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
Now Eric is into sports cards, and so is the
Sun Max. But I'm like, all it takes for me
is to give Max a Pokemon card and he's off
because I think Eric is really like because every time
I go somewhere, he's like, they got sports cards, and like,
no they don't, but Pokemon pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (13:22):
Well, sports cards are valuable too, but sports cards, the
sports cards raining game and Sportsman video game in general
is almost kind of like the CD world.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
Of like gambling. It's a whole different side of trading cards.
But that's what I've been doing.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
Kevin, what have you been doing, good sir, I've been
in the world, back in the world, joining the world
of morning workouts.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
Okayast couple of days. Okay.
Speaker 3 (13:49):
My current routine is to get up around five five
point thirty, get Kira up in dress, drop her off
at daycare at seven, back home around seven to fifteen,
workout until eight, a shower, make my lunch, and go
to work and it kind of makes the day go
about really quicker. I used to be an after work
(14:10):
workout person, but right now my life where my face
is just impossible because once I sit down is it
is over. I do anything else today that's proactive. But
I've been doing a boxing workout, and recently I've been
doing a boxing workout while watching Batman animated series. It's
kind of motivating because the fight scenes in the cartoon
(14:33):
make me want to punch.
Speaker 2 (14:33):
The punching I'm punching with the action, So I think
I'm gonna keep this up.
Speaker 3 (14:39):
I think I'm gonna try next to Maybe you watch
O W matches while boxing.
Speaker 1 (14:44):
Okay, just watch the Was it the Brawl for All
where they had wrestlers actually boxing people.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
It was funny.
Speaker 3 (14:51):
They actually had a plan for that whole thing, but
bart Gunn ruined it because the guy who's supposed to
be supposed to win, he knocked him out by accident.
Happened boxery because nobody takes a guy seriously in wrestling
and got knocked out and his.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
Name was doctor Death. At the time, He's like, well,
doctor Death died.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
But I didn't find out too that.
Speaker 2 (15:12):
I didn't know.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
I didn't need to punching back. Actually that because she was
boxing this morning and I'm looking at the ground, like
why it's ground so wet, and I'm seeing after every
punch water just spray out the bottom of it. So
I think it's a crack in at the Okay, So
I think I'm gonna have to get either a filling
with sand. I don't know how much sand costs, but
or maybe just doing like an adduct tape patchwork type thing.
(15:34):
And there's so much this is so much water everywhere.
I want to slip and fall and my a, this
is terrible. Other than that, I'm not watching anything, still
playing a little bit of man a little bit of
Red Dead. I did find out, you know, Kira that
was wrestling. I knew she knows uh Joso's music. I
(15:56):
knew she knew remembering his music. I didn't know she
knew Ao Skies and Seth Rolin.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
That's good.
Speaker 3 (16:02):
I'm watching wrestling the other night and Seth Rollin's coming
out and I hear it, go, oh, oh my gosh,
we're doing it.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
We're doing it.
Speaker 3 (16:12):
And then el Sky comes out and she does the
backbend thing like, oh my gosh, I have a little wrestling.
Speaker 2 (16:17):
Like, don't do that. You're hurting your back please. So
that's fun.
Speaker 3 (16:22):
I keep cultivating this for as long as it lasts,
because children's children's I guess interests to change seven and
also getting ready for school.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
School starts on Monday.
Speaker 1 (16:32):
Hell yeah, your wife has officially gone back to her classroom.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
I have to move some stuff, some stuff in actually
on Monday, but my back was hurting.
Speaker 2 (16:42):
The next day.
Speaker 3 (16:44):
She did to think where she was like, oh, that's
the drying. I said, you can't move back, can move that,
And I picked up in the mind.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
I'm like, oh, mistake, But.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
I gotta carry it out. I gotta carry it it
was probably about eighty pounds is of wood. That all
it is just they put their paintings in there and
the off but it was so heavy. So yeah, she's
going through that. She's she has like the back to school,
she said. So I'm trying to cheer her up when
I can with jokes. And they fought some interesting it
(17:13):
seems about they one of what Leezel teachers. I can't
share it on the podcast, all right, I'll tell you
that later. It's crazy, it's crazy, but yeah, that's what
I've been doing.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
Well, Kevin said he has tea, but he's not sharing.
Let's get out into it because it is time for
the news.
Speaker 2 (17:29):
And first things.
Speaker 1 (17:31):
First, we have some breaking crisis because a new cast
member has edited the chat for Spider Man Brand New
Day and Kevin.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
Who is it?
Speaker 4 (17:45):
It is?
Speaker 3 (17:46):
Uh seven Si Zone, mister milcheck a k A trying
to find his name here uh Trammel Tillman. I will
be joining the cast of Brand New Day. This is
really cool for me.
Speaker 2 (18:00):
He's actually local.
Speaker 3 (18:01):
I think he went to school.
Speaker 2 (18:02):
In Laurel Laurel Mill I believe, or at.
Speaker 3 (18:04):
Least grew up in some somewhere near the district.
Speaker 2 (18:08):
He's born in DC, born in DC.
Speaker 3 (18:10):
Yeah, he's kind of been slowly slowly getting a star. So,
like I said with Severn, he's amazing. Missal milk check.
He was in Mission Impossible mm hmm. And now he's
gonna be and basically the biggest franchise outside of the
Avengers in the MCU.
Speaker 2 (18:22):
Hell.
Speaker 1 (18:22):
Yeah, it is wild because Wikipedia has already updated his
acting credits with Spider Man on there. It's been fifteen
minutes since this news broke. Okay, I've always.
Speaker 3 (18:33):
Wanted like people that watch at Wikipedia, it's like a
long jammed.
Speaker 1 (18:36):
Probably it does, actually because I think sometimes it's like
we're working on the website.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
You'd come back later, Okay.
Speaker 3 (18:42):
Okay, I'll wait, I'll wait Wikipedia.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
Uh but yeah, So the amite nominated actor because he's
nominated obviously because of severans he'll.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
Be in the new movie.
Speaker 1 (18:50):
No details on who he's gonna be, uh, but we
do know, you know, I got Tom Hollins and Daya,
Jacob Battalone, John Burnthalw's Punisher, Mark Ruffalo's Whole, Sadie Sink
as a mystery character.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
You got e Liza Cologne Zayas.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
From the Bear in There as well, and the movie
will be coming out July thirty first, twenty twenty six.
Speaker 2 (19:10):
Noll Hoodie, who could he be in castas? I think
I'm trying to.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
How old is he actually, because that actually determines he
is forty late he's forty on the dot. I think
if you're gonna cast him something, he has been great
as a standout character in seventh especially in Stephens season
two with the whole.
Speaker 2 (19:32):
Marching band and everything.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
My money is to continue on the Miles Morales train,
and if we have Eliza colone Zias potentially as a
real Morales, maybe he's playing Officer Davis and he would
be a great Officer Davis.
Speaker 2 (19:50):
And we have a Miles on the way eventually.
Speaker 3 (19:53):
So you think maybe he'll just be like a police officer,
kind of like in the first Spider Man movie where
we meet Jefferson Davis early in the game, but we
go meet Miles yet.
Speaker 2 (20:02):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:03):
If anything, this is more of the fantastic one than
one of the actual part of you. Like that would
make sense for Marvel to plant seeds of hey, we
will try to get there one day once Sony stops
not playing ball with us, and see what happens now,
granted if you introduce him as that, and they don't
in the Miles thing never happens, and he kind of
wasted Trammel.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
Tillman and for a story they can't really do.
Speaker 1 (20:26):
Other possibility and uh and I'll let you have one too.
But I always remembered in the Toby Maguire Spider Man movies,
they'd always have like character actors be professors or something
because I don't remember who the actor was.
Speaker 2 (20:40):
But whoever, I think it was.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
Spidey two was doctor Connors was like an actor who
was in a bunch of stuff, but you didn't.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
I don't remember his name, and it never went anywhere.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
Essentially, I'll actually liked that him to being a doctor
Connor's would be really really cool.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
Actually, oh, I could haven't done Lizard.
Speaker 3 (21:01):
You're right, but also I mean just think except for
the because I haven't done it yet either autow Octavius.
Speaker 1 (21:09):
Then yeah, I mean that's a lot of things they
really could. I mean, let's let's face it, the cat
in the room in that is they they swapped out
Norman Osborne and it worked because you had freaking Coleman
Domingo voice sing Norman Osborne and so I think you
can really do anything you want in the MCU, and
West will bide by it.
Speaker 3 (21:28):
I mean, odds are he's probably playing like a not
an essential character, but somebody who's in the movie for
a couple of minutes. It has a has a has
a scene with one of the main casts. But I
kind of like him playing a Kirk Connors, a Auto
Octavius or even a Norman Osmen. We haven't seen normal
(21:50):
os Onale and the MCU yet, say he hasn't existed.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
I mean it's got I wanted to be Coleman Domingo
if the cast someone you already got him and Coleman
Coleman Domingo, just these guy vibes Amaca and Colemon Domingos. Also, well,
he's from Philly, but we'll take it for this for
this air Northeast the United States.
Speaker 3 (22:08):
But that actually name I'm talking about Dylan Baker.
Speaker 2 (22:10):
He's been in a lot of things.
Speaker 1 (22:11):
Yeah, like he's in a bunch of Oh wait no,
not Pana Baker, this Baker, Okay, cool, it.
Speaker 2 (22:16):
Was like Danielle Panabaker's dad.
Speaker 1 (22:19):
I think also, I think you're right with like it'd
be cool to have him as uh doc doc oc
just because like we've seen his vocabulary to a degree,
and so it'd be cool to have like a very
scientific person talking like that.
Speaker 3 (22:34):
Yeah, yeah, that's really cool thinking Tombstone person, because Tombstone
is a villain, Like he could be a villain in
this movie. That's not in the whole movie. Like you
see in the beginning Spider Man saves them, will stop
some make some change life around and end of information,
and that's kind of how we stabilize the tombs, won't
(22:55):
carecter kind of like again Spider Man two, That's what
I was thinking. But now I'm like, oh, Octavius kirk Connor,
Like this is like like where where he's going?
Speaker 1 (23:03):
Yeah, I mean there's really good possibilities, and I think
really even like did you see Mission Impossible with me?
Speaker 2 (23:10):
Kevin?
Speaker 1 (23:10):
I forget sorry it was it was not a long time,
all right, So when I wanted to go see Mission Impossible,
the last one he popped up.
Speaker 2 (23:17):
He's in the movie for like fifteen minutes.
Speaker 1 (23:20):
His scenes stole the whole damn movie because he was
just like such a captivating character and you're like, can
he be added to the team if you're gonna do
another one or whatever. So I and he really like severing.
He stole the show and he's gonna, like you said,
he's gonna be in a bunch of movies and shows upcoming.
I think this is the right right time for Marvel
(23:42):
to jump in on Treml Tillman and get him now.
Speaker 3 (23:45):
Robbie Robertson, if you're not familiar with him, he was
like the other I guess, assistant editor of The Daily Bugle.
If they want to do that, maybe like Robbie Robinson
could be because in this world, Jago names Jameson is
a podcaster, I like Alex Jones.
Speaker 2 (24:05):
One of those conspiracy things.
Speaker 3 (24:06):
He could be his producer or like maybe like I
don't know, the person that gets his ads in, or
like a co host that always saying the Spider Man's
out the menace. He's actually a good guy and maybe
that's the thing he could do as well. I mean,
the possibility to end. Yeah, that is true strange.
Speaker 1 (24:19):
Because if we are in the era of you know,
Pete being solo and need money and doing the freelance thing,
that would be cool. I mean because that I don't
know who the actor was in the Toby franchise. But yeah,
he was in every movie and you're like, oh man,
yeah he's cool.
Speaker 3 (24:35):
He was a Robbie Uh he was actually if you
know your filmography, they got to play Robbi Robertson in
the original movie. Was also one of the main characters
in Sister Act. I don't know if you remember, Actually
you know what.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
Robbie roberts or uh, that's Spider Mann't give me the
bill none.
Speaker 3 (25:00):
Stuff he's been He's been in a lot of things.
Speaker 1 (25:02):
Do the right thing. That's what I've seen him from.
That's what that as well. Yep, yes, but yeah, I
think possibilities are kind of open for Tamel tumm In
and excited to see.
Speaker 2 (25:13):
Like that's a good casting. So I believe robber.
Speaker 3 (25:16):
Robinson was actually a parent of another Marvel hero. I
can't remember who it is though.
Speaker 1 (25:20):
Well we'll find out Kevin in the near future. But
Kevin future talking about the future. Well, let's go into
the future and talk about Alien Earth episode three.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
Uh so we're not.
Speaker 1 (25:36):
Gonna do a proper break it down because that's okay,
Kevin has not seen episode three, but pretty much I'm
just gonna give you a non spoiler if you're trying
to watch it and see if it's worth the hype
or if not. Darius Stone in the chat said he
is not a fan, which is totally valid.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
Hey, you don't have to like the shows you talk about.
We're gonna talk about the pop culture.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
Actually, one of my co workers I asked him about
they said he hated it, every minute of it. I
was like, wow, it's funny how these shows are so
not diachromatic, but like, as somebody who's not a big,
big fan of the Alien Prendice as whole god they
hate do you know more if they just creepy out.
I enjoyed this a little bit. And he was like, no,
I can't stand it. But but he goes back to
(26:15):
you an eighties alien fan, so I can't his opinion
totally bald. Yeah, franchise, So.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
I think we we kind of talked about this last week,
but just kind of reiterate. I do like that we
are in the very Alien and Predator renaissance of like
getting them done right, you know, because we went through
so long of them like kind of like not knowing
what they're doing. Prometheus had good premises and then Alien
Covenant happened and it kind of went out the wazoo
and Predator was so hit and miss. Of you had Predators,
(26:45):
which is pretty good, and then you had the Predator,
which is all right. Then obviously we've had Prey Killer
of Killers will have into the bad or bad Lands
later this year. And then Romuless I thought was really
good last year for sure, Alien Romless, This I think
I vibe because I'm going in knowing it's an FX
show and I'm not so much here for the action,
(27:07):
but I'm here for the story that's I'm playing and
sort of the metadrama between characters.
Speaker 3 (27:13):
Do a agree I'm saying, And I can also say
I haven't seen a third episode yet. But also the
show owner of the.
Speaker 2 (27:21):
Show, Noah Hawley, Noah.
Speaker 3 (27:24):
Hally, has a very distinct style of running a show
where you like it or you don't. There's really no
in between, because I mean, I remember when he did
the show.
Speaker 2 (27:37):
About Fargo, A Legion, Yes, a Legion.
Speaker 3 (27:41):
I hate Allegion. I didn't get it.
Speaker 2 (27:42):
Yeah, I did not get it.
Speaker 1 (27:44):
I think I watched the first season of Legion and
I was like, okay, and I think it was done
in time of like Hulu is like, we have something
for you to watch at the time, and then season
two happened. Didn't really watch it and more than I
actually like because I'm watching Alien, it popped up and
the Hulu recommended.
Speaker 2 (27:56):
I was like, do you want to watch this? And
she's like, I think I'm okay.
Speaker 3 (28:01):
Show Mike, Mike Bryant, Mike Babe Mike. He loves Legion
and we are our girl all the time. Like dude,
I just don't get it. You're smarter than me. We
all joke you went to college. I didn't.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
I don't get the show.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
But I will say this episode, the first two episodes
are very heavy on the xenomorph. This one kind of
resolves a xenomorph, and there's more episodes ago, and so
that's the interesting thing of like we're opening up the world.
We're not just gonna be on this ship the entire show.
We are now going back and to a lab and
see what happens. We're learning about, you know, an android
(28:35):
versus synthetics versus the hybrids that we kind of learned
in the beginning.
Speaker 2 (28:38):
So that is the cool stuff. I will say, you know,
the Alien.
Speaker 1 (28:41):
Franchise is like you like things you like you don't
like things pretty much overtime to a degree besides the
first Alien movie because it set the tone for everything.
But I do think I'm I'm really digging it. I
think it is cool just too. It is though, like
the big question this episode it was it's like, what
(29:02):
is when is a machine not a machine? You know
the cyborg person says to an android, and so you're like, ooh,
like that's that deep methodology you want to learn through
these shows.
Speaker 3 (29:13):
We're kind of getting there.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
We are getting there, and I think Timmy Timothy Oliphant
has been killing it and mister Marraw who's the main
Android that stayed on the ship.
Speaker 2 (29:25):
I think they've both been killing it a lot.
Speaker 1 (29:27):
And it'll just be interested going forward how the show goes,
because like Darius Stone says, like this animost stuff is
hit and miss I think it's kind of cool because
I'm not really like buy the code and buy the
book on everything the Alien franchise, and this is kind
of a franchise I can play loosey goosey with. But
you know, we'll see what happens. Because Alien versus Predator
(29:48):
that seem good in theory.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
You know, I did see that in the Alien timeline.
This happens before the first.
Speaker 2 (29:56):
Two years, before the first movie. Yeah. Yeah, so that's interesting.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
See how they up Yes you Rogue one styles even
put you right back into the next movie next thing,
you know, because Rogue One literally ends as New Hope begins.
Speaker 1 (30:10):
Yeah, and it'll be interesting because they kind of set
themselves up to well, obviously this party isn't gonna exist
because we don't know anything about it going forward, so
and that makes sense. They sweeped it on the rug.
But yeah, it's fun. I think it's worth the watch.
It's it's it's it's good quality above all else. And
it's cool because they did the xenomorph practically. I saw
on TikTok today like it was an actual puppet that
(30:32):
they was like that they like had multi layer buttons
to make have a droll and have it do the
little tongue thing and all that stuff.
Speaker 3 (30:40):
Why didn't have to make them so much? Whoever made
that thing?
Speaker 1 (30:43):
These is that family guy scene around and get you
with my little tongue?
Speaker 2 (30:49):
I gotcha.
Speaker 1 (30:52):
That's family Guy effect more than anything right there. But Kevin,
let's go from space. Well, we're gonna head on over
to Germany. It's never to go down and crash into
Germany because we have to talk about Games Come, Opening
Night Live. Our big announcements we saw so much more.
So let's break it down so in case you don't
(31:21):
know what Games Come and Opening Night Live are. They
kind of are the international version of the three Jeff
Keeley hosts it pretty much think of the Games Awards
at the end of the year event.
Speaker 2 (31:32):
This is the mid year event that Jeff Keeley hosts.
Years past, it's.
Speaker 1 (31:37):
Kind of been like, oh, they had one announcement that
was cool, and you move on. This year felt very
stacked just based on the announcements I heard and saw
and everything. I did watch it live and it was
kind of cool.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
But overall there.
Speaker 1 (31:49):
Are some big announcements and some not so much. There's
games for everybody, different strokes for different folks, and that's
totally okay when it comes to gaming.
Speaker 3 (31:57):
Yeah, I mean, we've seen gaming kind of grow past
just I want. I want to say with the advent
of the indie gangs being added to the various social
console gaming marketplaces, we've seen game and grow a lot
in the past I would say ten years.
Speaker 1 (32:13):
I feel like, yeah, and I really think an indie
game can be Game of the Year because it has
that potential now, and you don't have to have a
big budget team to make a game a great game,
because look at any.
Speaker 2 (32:23):
Of the anthem.
Speaker 1 (32:25):
Well anthem, but you know, Hollow Night, which we'll talk
about in a hot second, you got it takes two.
Like those are smaller games that perform well. Hades too.
Speaker 3 (32:35):
You know, you have Ironman suits and you play together.
I don't know how to screw that up, just a
simple well the.
Speaker 1 (32:42):
Whole studio shut down and yeah, and it's cool, Like
Darius Stone said, the end of exclusives upon us now
because you know, even this this weekend, they announced there
is a Halo Ods t Hell Divers to crossover. And
the trailer starts with the Xbox logo, quickly followed by
the PlayStation logo. You're like, whoa, this would never happen
(33:02):
in my day. In my day, it would never happen.
Speaker 2 (33:05):
But Kevin, we'll kind of go through a couple of
the quick hitters.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
Then we'll do kind of the big announcement, at least
for this podcast, I think more than anything but the
main one that started off Hollow Night, Silk song conferming
to be coming out this year.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
The developers team Cherry.
Speaker 1 (33:22):
Or they're gonna have an actual premiere tomorrow that they're
gonna kind of own whatever that video is. I have
a feeling they're gonna shadow drop it. So if you
like hell Hollow Night, be prepared for this weekend and even.
Speaker 3 (33:33):
Follow this podcast for more than I want to say,
three or four years. You know that in our fantasy
gaming league we've drafted this game. Each year one of
us has this is like, finally one of us is
gonna have to.
Speaker 2 (33:43):
Come out and guess who's got it this year? Kevin?
Literally Sky I got it more.
Speaker 3 (33:50):
It's like from rotating. It's hilarious.
Speaker 1 (33:53):
Hell yeah, So I'm excited. I wanted to come out
and just do well. That was really the only news
we got it. There was a little demo that's played
because Games Comment is like E three where it's here's
the announcements and everyone can play on the show floor
this weekend. But pretty cool, and like I said, it
is a story of this podcast that finally we can
hopefully close that chapter very soon. Kevin, any other standout
(34:16):
announcements besides the big one.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
We're gonna look at.
Speaker 3 (34:20):
Another one for me because we're gonna look at the trailer.
I want to talk about that too much. But for
me it was like like Drrus someone was saying, seeing
how many, how many exclusives are just not exclusive anymore.
Starfy was gonna be on PS five next year, which
is crazy to me. It was so much made. This
is gonna be Xbox exclusive, and I was like, no,
(34:42):
it's not.
Speaker 2 (34:44):
It's not. It'll be there, it's coming, don't worry.
Speaker 3 (34:47):
So I was more amazed. I've scrolling through the time
the feet on net. I was like, wow, this is really,
like I said, exclusive, there's no point now really in
getting a console. Just wait till it gets one to
either Steam or we get someone a whatever marketplace you
want to play it on.
Speaker 2 (35:03):
Yeah, it is funny just to talk about where is it?
Where is it? I think?
Speaker 1 (35:10):
I think it was kind of full circle moment for
this podcast, too. Is a Bubbsy game was announced and
I remember us at E three. Those are those capes
we got with the Bubbsy game coming Xbox. So hey,
now Bubbsy four D is coming soon, but closet actually yeah,
well next time we get it. We did get in
outer Worlds too. We got a trailer for the Companions
(35:35):
Indiana Jones in the Great Circle. We know it's DLC order.
The Giants is coming out September fourth, which is pretty dope.
We're not gonna show a trailer of it because really,
if you like that game, hey you can play more
of it. If not, you don't really care. But it
is free if you got certain editions of the game.
I'm excited because if anything, I go to Rome, I
get to go to the Italy section again, which is
(35:55):
one of the better sections of that game.
Speaker 3 (35:56):
So again it's coming the switch To, which is crazy
Adiana Jones when you switch.
Speaker 1 (36:02):
Like, wow, Yes, I don't know if I want to
play it on my switch to, but I don't have
a switch to.
Speaker 2 (36:07):
But one day we'll get there. And then Kevin any
other smaller announcements that had you interested.
Speaker 3 (36:13):
Oh well, of course the Black Myth. The Black Myth
sequel is interesting because I remember my nephew's played that game.
I haven't played it, but I remember being a very
not divided, but it wasn't as loved as everybody kind
of thought it was. I thought it was a little
bit too hard. So I see how this one is
received going forward. I mean, I'm happy again this is
(36:35):
a new ip basically that came out last year, barring
from I think Japanese mythology and kind of interesting to see.
I mean, keep going forward. I'm I'm kind of happy
for it. Maybe I'll play it this time.
Speaker 2 (36:46):
Yeah, I thought.
Speaker 1 (36:46):
Also it was cool like Cecro Shadows Died Twice is
getting an anime next year. It's gonna be called Sacro
No Defeat. It's a one to one anime, so like
it'll match up with the game. I think it is cool.
We are in an era talking about one piece. We
talked about the game of this podcast, Sacro, Devil May Cry,
Cyberpunk all getting animes that in the Castlevania one.
Speaker 2 (37:08):
All hold up pretty well? Actually, I mean I was wrong.
Speaker 3 (37:12):
It's a Chinese folk.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
From there you go. We've been corrected and we stand
by it.
Speaker 1 (37:18):
Yeah, And I think it makes sense then to tap
in the waters of the second row one. Hey, do
we have an audience still? And then maybe let's do
Shadows Die three times thrice?
Speaker 3 (37:29):
You know what I would if it ever introduced a
two second o or to Black Myth there's a story
mode kind of like on Game of War. I got
a war. I would love to play thesemes with the
story mode on it. I want to be as as possible.
Speaker 1 (37:42):
Slice slice, slice, slice, staying I one, I.
Speaker 3 (37:46):
Just I just span the square button.
Speaker 2 (37:47):
Now you're dead, Yeah, you're dead.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
Move on.
Speaker 1 (37:51):
And then obviously the big hitters we got called to
Black Ops seven the full reveal myle event. Emilia is
the main character, which is pretty cool from this is Us,
and he's in a bunch of other things, of course, zombies.
There'll be another Call of Duty next I think in
a couple of weeks. But hey, it looks good. It's
gonna be on Game Pass and if anything, they are
(38:12):
focusing and doubling down on story, so it's pretty good
for that franchise.
Speaker 3 (38:16):
Remembered to play play a few X Men. Actually that's
kind of am but I'm not sure who. Maybe the
new Cyclops I don't know, to see what happens.
Speaker 1 (38:25):
But the big announcement from this year's games come Opening
night Live and there'll be a couple of more announcements
throughout the week. Well, we have to head on over
to Reaction Theater for this one, Kevin, So let's do
that right now, because we are gonna break down the
trailer for Lego Batman Legacy of the Dark Night. Break
(38:46):
it down inside of breaking down a double break it down,
break it down, break it break it down down. H So, Kevin,
Lego Batman, did you see the trailer for you ot
or No?
Speaker 3 (38:56):
I've seen clips, but I'm watching the first time right here.
Speaker 2 (38:59):
All right?
Speaker 1 (39:00):
Uh so if you love the Lego Star Wars the
Skywalker collection, which came out like four years ago or
something like that, think this but for Batman. Which is
why t T Games and Warner Brothers have been quiet
for a hot second. Well, it's because they were doing this.
So you ready, Kevin? Alright, one, A, two, A three?
Speaker 2 (39:18):
Play Batman, Batman, Batman, Batman, Alfred begins, Yes, he's got
(39:43):
the Batman suit. I need to become more than a man, Batman.
I need to become a symbol. What did you have
in knowledge become the hero? Hell? Yeah? Thanks?
Speaker 1 (40:02):
Oh yeah, oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (40:04):
Oh detectile vision, I know that's cool.
Speaker 3 (40:10):
Arkanstas fighting?
Speaker 2 (40:13):
Who are you? I'm Batman? That man.
Speaker 3 (40:21):
Tumblr? Why so serious?
Speaker 1 (40:26):
Hey do you want to get nuts?
Speaker 2 (40:30):
Let's hear nuts. I'm allergic to nuts.
Speaker 3 (40:36):
Who's the man behind the mask?
Speaker 1 (40:43):
Oh, straight out of Arkham Games.
Speaker 3 (40:47):
Get the new Battle Bill too. God yeah, the car.
Speaker 2 (41:11):
Lego Batman said of the Dog Night.
Speaker 4 (41:17):
Oh, you think darkness is your ally? You merely adopted
the dock. I was born in it molded by Oh,
I could have really hurt myself.
Speaker 2 (41:31):
Who throws a shoe?
Speaker 1 (41:36):
That is the front runner for a Game of the
Year twenty twenty six. Sorry, Grandpa thought, Oh, your lunch
has been eaten.
Speaker 3 (41:45):
Did you get the duck references with the penguin.
Speaker 1 (41:48):
Yeah, it's it's because he had the duck boat carving
and Batman returns.
Speaker 2 (41:53):
I think that's the coolest thing is that this game
is it.
Speaker 1 (41:56):
No, it's not gonna be how Skywalker Saga and like
Jurassic Park games have been, where you go through every movie.
This is going to be an amalgamation of all those
movies and the games, mainly the Arkham games, which is
pretty cool because the combat looks very inspired by that.
Speaker 3 (42:11):
Even the Grappa hook looks a lot like Arkham.
Speaker 1 (42:14):
Yeah, and so that's why you have certain like Joker
looks like he more like he does in the Dark Knight.
You have Penguin looking like from Batman Returns. But then
you know the Batman is in the Batman suit the
whole time. You have the Batman car. He got Tumblr,
which is pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (42:31):
I mean, I'm not a really big player of the
Lego games because I don't know, I just never really
got into him. I felt like I was when it
came out. I was at a time where I thought.
Speaker 2 (42:41):
Like I'm above this. I've grown exactly.
Speaker 3 (42:45):
It was real games. I don't need the cute games.
But this looks really fun. Like like you said, I
love it's kind of a celebration of Batman.
Speaker 2 (42:53):
More than a retelling.
Speaker 3 (42:56):
Retelling, I do kind of wish Will Arnett was the
voice of Batman because he was the voice of Lego
Batman in the movie.
Speaker 1 (43:02):
Yeah, that is an interesting take to like, well he
did the character. That's probably because cheaper, I don't I
don't think they've confirmed who the actor is it's playing Batman.
That did confirm Matt Berry from what we do in
the Shadows will be playing Bane. So that's an interesting take,
but sure we'll go with it.
Speaker 3 (43:18):
It's probably Troy Baker again somebody game.
Speaker 1 (43:23):
But yeah, I think it's gonna be really cool that
you know, you can free roam in the Batmobile of
your choice. So if you do, like, you know, the
batmobile from the Batman is more of a muscle car,
or you want, you know, the winged car from the
nineties movies, you can do that instead too.
Speaker 3 (43:37):
Un Blue from Dark Knight and Batman begins that as well. Yes,
I mean I think it'd be cool to see how
they weave what nineteen eighty eighty six. I think Batman
came out eighty nine nine, so almost what thirty forty
years of.
Speaker 2 (43:54):
Batman of modern Batman movies?
Speaker 3 (43:55):
Yeah, yeah, because even we gotta think about even if
we'll go back for the will we see anything any references.
Speaker 2 (44:01):
To Adam West? I think so.
Speaker 1 (44:02):
I mean, look, even when he's punching, you do have
the capao and the klunk, so like, yeah, and that's
probably you could probably turn that off. I bet legos like,
oh do you want that? Or no, that's definitely a
Lego setting. But yeah, I think this is really fun.
I think typically Lego games, it's like, all right, the
story is there, and then mostly maybe like sixty percent
(44:23):
of the game is you trying to hunt down all
the little mini kits and the gold bricks and all
that good stuff. So it'll be interest to see how
they balance that.
Speaker 3 (44:31):
That's why I stopped playing them a while ago. I
played it. It's not like a Mario game. I'm just
collecting stuff. Oh shoot, I gotta do something. I forgot
about that.
Speaker 1 (44:41):
But yeah, and I think if anything, it's it's a
good Like Alfred has a Batman stain on his on
his napkin that once Seene Alford was in, Like it's funny.
If you need to get your kid into Batman, this
is how you do to an agree.
Speaker 2 (44:55):
So I mean that's a good point.
Speaker 3 (44:58):
Leah does not only console game play right now is astrobot,
but I mean maybe the Lego games could be a
way for her into more console games.
Speaker 4 (45:08):
Good.
Speaker 1 (45:09):
I hope Lego also adds a feature where it's like
deep voice mode. So like Batman now seems like a
normal person, but in everything else, everyone just you want
a good nuts it's the whole time, Like it's just
a voice setting the whole time.
Speaker 2 (45:26):
I'll play for it. I'll pay the DLC for that.
Speaker 3 (45:29):
I was like, it's like a meter, like a Mola meter.
Keep going over the left is deeper and deeper and deeper.
Speaker 2 (45:37):
Why does he sound like Rocky Balboa.
Speaker 1 (45:38):
Now, don't worry about it, Adrid, Okay, Adrian.
Speaker 2 (45:46):
Yeah, that's really cool. It comes out twenty twenty six.
Speaker 1 (45:48):
Uh So, obviously we have GTA six and we have
this to look forward to next year. Obviously there's some
other games, and my money is I would like another
Jedi game, but you know, it's okay, we'll get there.
Speaker 3 (46:00):
Jedi Jedi. Yeah. What we called against it was Jedi Survivor.
Speaker 1 (46:05):
JED or Fallen Order Survivor, and I think we're I
think when we talked about Jedi Survivor, we were like Jedi.
It was something like leader or something like that. It
was like a leader role or something like that.
Speaker 3 (46:18):
Yeah, interesting, Jedi Revival.
Speaker 2 (46:24):
We have time.
Speaker 1 (46:25):
We have time, so Kevin, we can switch back on
over to the normal view as we're setting up the
next trailer, because we also have another break it down
within a break it down, not within a second break
it down, it's its own break it down. Because we
also got a trailer finally, like a full trailer for
Fallout season two, comeing to Prime Video December seventeenth as
(46:46):
of right now.
Speaker 2 (46:47):
So I'm gonna hit the sound again. Why not? And
it looked pretty cool, Kevin has not seen it.
Speaker 1 (46:58):
It is we like we kind of he's from the
end of season one, Kevin, you watched all season one, right,
I forget we are going to New Vegas at the
end because we find out that the main character, her dad,
kind of was the villain the whole time, and that
he's fleeing to New Vegas where apparently Vault Tech has
even more secrets than we know. And obviously the Ghoul
(47:21):
was a standout playing by Walton Goggins, and that actually
worked the whole time. All I had to do was
put green on his nose for in them to CD
I the nose pretty cool.
Speaker 3 (47:30):
I mean usually you gotta put on like a whole thing,
or at least like actually to make up like where
this You're good.
Speaker 1 (47:37):
Also, we had the revival of moyses Heires because he
was one of the Vault dwellers, as well as Zach Cherry,
who is like one of the guys running for Overseer,
So that was kind of we had everything up on
the surface and then stuff going on the vault, which
is pretty cool too.
Speaker 3 (47:54):
And also the Brotherhood of Brotherhood.
Speaker 2 (47:55):
Of Blood, Brotherhood Steel Brotherhood of Steel Stee.
Speaker 3 (48:00):
But I still I still I can't believe how well
they pulled off that, that that armor.
Speaker 1 (48:04):
Had the power arm like, all right, we did it
because practical, Kevin, that's why.
Speaker 2 (48:07):
That's why. So we're gonna hit play on the trailer.
Then we'll talk about it. Kevin, you ready, Let's do it?
All right? Switch on over to Reaction Theater three to one,
hit play baby, we get the Little Rats.
Speaker 5 (48:22):
That's pretty cool.
Speaker 2 (48:24):
I'm looking for someone.
Speaker 3 (48:26):
Common story around here.
Speaker 2 (48:28):
Something you care about her, someone you hate. Oh what
a great question.
Speaker 4 (48:34):
What say you?
Speaker 5 (48:34):
That's my client. That's mcclan, a little learner. They're a rider.
Hell yeah, there we go. I love that song.
Speaker 3 (48:46):
Why would my dad go to Las Vegas?
Speaker 2 (48:54):
I want to know why the world ended? It started
here with one man. Y's your dad and what a
year he had last year?
Speaker 3 (49:12):
Like yourself, I am the very best at what I do.
But I didn't.
Speaker 2 (49:25):
Because I know just read the Row, Mister House, the
Big Old Zeppelin. I know there's a war coming. Is
the bombs will only be the beginning.
Speaker 3 (49:41):
One of them's characters, you love them.
Speaker 2 (49:45):
My concern is that you would do just about anything
to save your family.
Speaker 6 (49:52):
I think you are actually quite a violent man, you
just don't want to kill me yet.
Speaker 2 (50:03):
Power Almus.
Speaker 3 (50:05):
Oh there is good Ama.
Speaker 2 (50:12):
Hell yeah, that end of the world ain't over yet.
That's good Lucky, shall we Brad Broaches? Hell yeahs baby Fats.
Speaker 6 (50:37):
Baby, Big Boys here, death Claw.
Speaker 1 (50:50):
I'd refer to you about what to do in this situation.
Hell yeah, I'll see that a lot in my life. Yeah,
I thought this is dope. I'm excited. I think this
show had huge upswing. You know, at first, we're like, oh,
without adapting the stories because we had the Last of
(51:13):
Us right before this came out. But I think overall
it worked because they set up their own story and
now we can go to New Vegas. We can maybe
the first seasons where we go to the d C,
the Capitol, Wasteland or Boston. First season four, How funny
would be Fallout four Season four is in Boston. That'd
be funny. They should do that. Actually, that'd be very funny.
Speaker 3 (51:34):
I mean, I think it was a great way to say, Okay,
the story that was told the video game was your story,
but we're telling our story of different people in the
same area. So yeah, we're not going to meet the vault. Well,
I can't remember the name of the character was to
Fallout three. We're not gonna bet they're not gonna meet
them because it's not their story. So we're gonna tell
their story. I haven't played I have nenvert played in
New Vegas, but seeing some of the things I saw
(51:55):
in New Vegas, like game like the Dog.
Speaker 2 (51:56):
Oh Dog meets back.
Speaker 3 (51:58):
Hell yeah, Walton Goggins, I mean what a god said
for his role because he just embodies it so good. Yeah,
and then him as you know who he was before
and who he is now. I'm glad we're going back
to that swords on dynamic. I kind of like seeing
what happened before everything went to crap.
Speaker 4 (52:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (52:20):
I think the cool thing is we kind of inferred
that he turned it into a goal.
Speaker 2 (52:23):
I mean, I think it was episode one of season
one from.
Speaker 1 (52:26):
The immediate like bombs going off, but we didn't, like
obviously didn't see him get burned and turned into a gool.
So it is cool that they can't play with that
a little bit until ultimately becomes a goul maybe at
the end of this season and set up exposition for this.
Because the cool thing is this this show takes place
after the events for sure, after New Vegas.
Speaker 2 (52:47):
An know, the timeline on Fallout games is kind of
all over.
Speaker 1 (52:49):
The place, but it is this will be you know,
what was the cannon ending for Fallout New Vegas? That
stuff happened there. I think I believe the Brotherhood of
Steels like Zeppelin playing that was like that. Surviving was
a cannon ending of Fallow Up three, I think to
a degree. So it is interesting to see the storylines,
(53:10):
Like you said, it's not our story we played, but
it's the story we're familiar with that they're going to
remix to a degree and we're gonna love I think
Ella Pernell killed it and uh so it's really cool
that they get they're getting everyone back and people.
Speaker 2 (53:23):
It's a good show.
Speaker 3 (53:25):
It's a really good show. If you haven't watched it yet,
you don't even know anything about the game. Everything's playing
to you wonderfully just while watching the show. The characters
are great, even like the they're like four twists in
the show. I feel like at the beginning, it'd be
interesting to see how this does against not not really
going up against it, but it'll be out at the time.
(53:47):
It'll be right in between Stranger Things releases, because between Christmas.
So I wonder if these will all be dropping at
the same time or they're gonna try the weak thing again,
because I think one of the things, one of the
things the other show was that it was all top
at once when it came out of season one.
Speaker 2 (54:05):
Yeah, I think.
Speaker 1 (54:07):
All that once would work, especially if it is coming out,
you know, December seventeenth, like a week before Christmas.
Speaker 2 (54:13):
I think the first season most eight episodes. Don't quote
me on that one.
Speaker 1 (54:17):
But then you got something Binge watched, like you said,
you are then in between Stranger Thing release models because
it is Thanksgiving, then Christmas, the New Year's that way,
get everyone to watch it, something to watch during the
holidays when things have kind of died down by then
unless you're watching holiday movies or watch it, you know,
after Christmas. Same thing with Stranger Things. But yeah, I
(54:38):
think it will be a fun world to return to.
And like I said, I think easily you can do
the games and just what happened after the games and
have them work.
Speaker 3 (54:48):
Exactly. It makes it work so well. And then like
I said, with the characters, I think there are eight episodes.
I think you're right. What the characters they created in
this series. I feel like you miss the characters that
were in the game, but that's the game, and that's
this world, and even the way they presented this world,
(55:10):
it's almost commercial for the games, honestly.
Speaker 2 (55:12):
Yeah, I mean, let's face it.
Speaker 1 (55:14):
And this was when A Rise was like hey, by
like Xbox was smart and like they're on sale now,
and I bought them all and like well, and.
Speaker 2 (55:20):
I played nearly five hours.
Speaker 1 (55:22):
But then I was like, I don't want to play
anymore because I just like being in this version of
the games instead where I don't have to manage my
inventory over and over and over in the Fallout game.
Speaker 3 (55:33):
Like your idea too, of every season takes place in
a different Fallout that we've already seen.
Speaker 1 (55:39):
Yeah, I mean, they have the opportunity, and they would
be smart because just how the Fallout franchise worked. Were
the first couple of Fallout games, you know, Bethesa didn't
really do and technically New Vegas was Ubsidian obviously they're
doing They're doing Outer worlds now Fallout three is Bethesa's
bread and butter. That is what Bethesa like super super
on the map game saw softworks whatever. So how convenient
(56:02):
that hey, we're gonna go to DC. Guess what we're
here in d C. They they're in Rockville. Essentially Bethes
and Maryland do that, and then that's just a kiss
men opportunity. You gotta take advantage of feeling.
Speaker 3 (56:16):
I think you're totally right. I mean maybe season three
is like the penultimate season, but we want to get
three seasons of this, but we do it right. This
definite could be one of those shows where even though
it's only like three or four seasons, you go back
and watch it multiple times because because it's such a delight.
Speaker 1 (56:29):
Yeah, and the cool thing is as any Drgron said
in the chat twitch dot tv slush infant the score
pods is there are universal horror nights this year. There
is a fallout, Haunted May's House, whatever you want to
say it. So this is the prime opportunity for you.
Watch the show, go to do the Maze, then watch
the second season December, vice versa. However you want to
(56:49):
do it to the Maze, watch the show, watch the
second season. But yeah, it's and it's very good iconography,
just the blue and yellow suits, the VAT system, the
pit boy obviously being Morelton Goga is now to a degree. Personally,
I think a lot more people are receptable to fall
Out right now than the last of Us show, So
(57:09):
that's interesting.
Speaker 3 (57:10):
Yeahs of less of Us, even though there's still a
rew review to have, they have a great following this
season month that the thing happened, I feel like, but
with Fallout, if you haven't watched Sason one yet, it's
also a really easy watch like it. It doesn't really drag.
It's done a moment where like there's a lot of
dialogue to set up something. It just really moves and
(57:31):
each episode gets you ready ready to hit play again
on the next one. It's a really good series watch.
Speaker 1 (57:36):
Yeah yeah, uh but Kevin, we're gonna switch on over
back to the normal view because we are done with
Reaction Feeder Today's podcast, because well we're done for the podcast.
Speaker 2 (57:45):
Baby.
Speaker 1 (57:45):
We made it, went through all the big things with
games come and we're here to let you know. Monday,
we're talking Peacemaker, baby. See, you have the weekend to
watch it. I gotta find the new one.
Speaker 3 (57:57):
It's gonna be a phone show actually for me, because
I can't watch that with the kids around.
Speaker 2 (58:01):
Well, you know, you could watch it at work. Kevin,
that's the other option. You are a connoisseur of that.
Speaker 3 (58:07):
Hey, but I'm busy right now.
Speaker 2 (58:08):
I'm busy right now.
Speaker 3 (58:09):
I got times are happening right now.
Speaker 1 (58:14):

happens as well. But then the special treat is Labor Day.

a break, go to the pool, have some fun, and
just enjoy your last real day of summer. Let's face it,
Labor Day's last real day of summer.
Speaker 3 (58:32):
Because, uh, summer ends up on September twenty first, that's
when fall starts. I think pumpkin spice starts probably next week.
Speaker 1 (58:39):
Yeah, yeah, there pumpkin donuts, baby head, you're dunkin, you're
duck or what you're crispy?
Speaker 2 (58:44):
Can get your pumpkin donut for me.
Speaker 3 (58:46):
I thought it's kettle corn season, so I will be
hitting up.
Speaker 1 (58:48):
Yes, but you are not allowed to have kettle corn.
Remember the season we talked about that last week anymore?
Speaker 3 (58:54):
No, I can't have movie popcorn. But doctor said, other
popcorn it's fun.
Speaker 1 (58:58):
Kevin's like, well, can I tell you a little thing
about kettle corn.
Speaker 2 (59:02):
Oh, I'm an expert at it.
Speaker 3 (59:04):
I'm really good at.
Speaker 1 (59:06):
I'm really good at really, Kevin, you see, you start
your own business and like most of the business would
go trick to me.
Speaker 3 (59:12):
That's exactly what I want to buy. Something's all gone.
Speaker 2 (59:15):
Yeah, I'm sorry, Kevin. It's called do what you love.
The money will follow kettle corn, Kevin's kettle.
Speaker 3 (59:22):
Okaykse baby Yep, it writes itself itselfs alright.

Speaker 3 (01:00:03):

what was that? Like, I don't like so much.
Speaker 2 (01:00:09):
I forgot about it, the Xenomorph and now he remembers
it again.
Speaker 3 (01:00:12):
And also Dress Our Rebreath. What a terrible movie?
