He is? He is? He is over there. That's okay,
It's all good. But we got a jam packed show
for you today. Obviously we are talking about I'm gonna
be playing that sound effect a lot, So if you
did not like that beat or this movie, I'm sorry,
this might not be the episode for you. Barways, we're

(01:03):
gonna talk about that movie where you're gonna talk about
the sort of kind of big hitters from San Diego
Comic Con, because wildly enough, we'll talk about it a
little bit. Felt like a little bit of a lull
comic con to a degree for San Diego.

Speaker 2 (01:15):
Actual comic con and not just a Hollywood studios.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
You know, more about like things you like and not
you need to watch this or you're not gonna know
what's going on in the next six months of entertainment exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:26):
It wasn't the comic con of old as we'll say.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
But to see everything we're gonna talk about today and
so much more, you can keep a locked at infinite
Underscore pods on the Instagram or the X Gonna give
it to you or Kevin Where can they participate live
when we're doing this full review of that movie we're
gonna talk about I'm trying to Save Myself on the
sound effects or later on demand whenever they want to.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
You can go to YouTube dot com slash if an
underscore positive, watch us on demand at your own leisure,
or if you want on this live before we episode
come up the next day, Twist dot TV's slash if
I'm Score pod is your best bet to watch this
lob interact with the chat and I have fun with your boys.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
It'll get there, go perfect. I love it, I love it.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Isn't it?

Speaker 1 (02:12):
It is the Michael Chick. I don't have I can't.
I don't got money to buy a new thing. I
got old. Bang. You know what I'm saying. Put the
old thing back again. That's a song. But the cool
thing is also about Twitch right now. If you have
Amazon Prime, you also got Twitch Prime, which is a
great thing for us because you can help us make
this podcast even better. Kevin, I believe I have tested

(02:34):
a new emote. So if you can put excited in
your remote so you look for excited on the emojis,
you'll be delighted to know there is now a Kevin
emoji for excited.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
That's funny. Me.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
If you look up, if you put Teddy in the
chat Twitch dot tv slash in front of the score pods,
you will get a Teddy emoji. That's pretty cool. And
I have not I don't think I made a me
one yet, but you two were the first ones I did,
so live.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
With the experiments. I'm fine with it totally.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
There you go, and that's free for everybody on Twitch.
If you have Twitch Prime, I'll try to make some
exclusive ones for you better. That'll be more funnier ones
like Kevin going, oh my god, we're working on you know, we're.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Working on it, and I like Teddy Kevin, this is
really cool.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
It's a fun dive And shout out to Eager mcbeever
twenty seven because hey, you can use those emojis now too,
just like any drogon did. Keep rolling in keep rolling in.
I just on teddy emojis the whole time. Put a
teddy emoji in any chat you put in, make it famous.
There you go. But Kevin, we always start the podcast
probably something we like to call what You're doing. We

(03:39):
were talking about the shows and movies. Who were watching, games,
we've been playing, lives we've been living. And because it
is Monday's episode, Kevin, you get to go first, Good sir.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
This weekend was my anniversary. Eleven years I've been married,
I told her. And this sounds gonna sound weird saying
it like this, but it feels like it's been longer.
Not because it's been like a bear of a marriage,
but I feel like twenty twenty to twenty twenty four
has been really ten years and only four years.

Speaker 1 (04:11):
You're you're correct. Time has flown by, and I'm like, oh, yeah,
I did like eleven years, like yeah, more. And I've
been together since twenty twelve, like that was like five
years ago.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
You know, It's literally been almost like I've been coming
this November. I've been gone for my heart for five years,
which is crazy because I was there for five.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
And we're still going. Baby Romeo and Juliet.

Speaker 2 (04:31):
Still going strong, going so yeah, anniversary. To celebrate, we
didn't do anything too crazy because we're in the middle
of trying to play vacation, so WEN only spend a
lot of money, so we just went to the movies.
We went to Magiano's tois before.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Family family style Italian food. I like it.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
I thought Maggiano's was a little more like a an
Italian paneramm so to speak.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
This fancy, pretty fancy, this is nice.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
I am I am under dressed for this restaurant.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
Now is it just just the two of you?

Speaker 2 (05:04):
This the two of us.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
That's a lot of food because you probably guys ordered
like one of each and I was like, oh wait,
this is family style.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
So she ordered. She ordered some kind of fishy pasta
she finished yesterday. I ordered the trim scampy pasta. I
ate a little bit on Friday, a little bit yesterday.
I finished it today. It was a lot of food,
really good though. We actually went there before we went
to the movie See Fantastic Four, because I thought, like, again,
this is like a quick service place that has really

(05:29):
good food. Oh, this is a sit down place. I
have misco claimed in my time. I'm not sure this
is going to work out. But thankfully AMC now shows
like fifteen thousand commercials before the movie starts. So even
though the movie time says six forty five, I didn't
start from seven thirty. We have plenty of time.

Speaker 1 (05:45):
And it told you right when it's like how many
commercials are in there? It didn't. I didn't look.

Speaker 2 (05:51):
I didn't. I didn't remember it until after I bought
the tickets, after we sat down, and I bought him
on Fandango. I don't know if fan Dango says that.
I don't know if it says it to you on
fandak over said to you through the AMC app about
about bottom of Fandango. I'm trying to give these points
actually worth any money. But yeah, we did that, and then,
like I said, dinner, and then yesterday I went to
the com book store for a little bit. Yeah, half

(06:13):
had Christmas in July sale had half off hardback, so
I picked up The Galactic Empire of wa Conduct, which
is a very interesting book. This is literally about I
haven't read the whole thing yet, but I know it's
not since I've heard of it. Basically, since the what
condons were so advanced more than the rest of the world.
They started Space exploring a lot. Wait before anybody in

(06:35):
NASA did it.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
It only came out like three months ago.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
Yeah, and basically there is there is basically a what
Condon Empire in space as well as and the child
is the king of both of them, which is crazy.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
It is crazy.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
So I think that when it comes to who's the
who's the richest superhero in the world between Barbone, there's
no questions. Definitely to Chila, he literally has a space.
So I look for were to read that this coming week,
and I wanted to get another book I send to you, hoodie.
It was Adventures Versus Fantastic. I was gonna buy it,
but when I looked through it, it wasn't so much

(07:10):
as Avengers of Fantastic. It was more of a accomplished
of stories with event with the Avengers of the.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Fandem tricked you with the with the cover, I see exactly.
I went there to get Secret Wars and I read
that and forever. Yeah, and I have a feeling like obviously,
once we're out of the Fantastic four loop, they'll be like, hey,
here's the comics you need to know for next year,
Like for Doomsday. You know, I did the.

Speaker 2 (07:31):
Same thing after we saw I think it was still
a rack on rock. I want to pick up the
Infinity got definitly got a series before Infinity Work. I
want kind of wanted to know how it happened. Then the
same thing after. I did the same thing after after
Infinity War, I wanted it got what endgame was based
off of. I'm just trying to do my homework because
I hadn't read. I haven't read Secret Wars in a
long time. Read when I was when I was a teenagers. Yeow,

(07:53):
so read again, freshen up, see what's going on? I
like though, not having any idea where to going. We'll
get to that when we get to the fantastic full review.
We'll get to that later. But as far as what
you're playing, what you're watching, I did a thing yesterday.

(08:15):
It was on sale, and I'm just like before go
see yo teg so I mother died died in I
broke down about Red Dead redemption too.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Hey, you know what, now's the time you got about
like a month and a half till Ghost comes out
and you can just dive in there, baby, Because my.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
Theory is between Ghost of Yota. Read that Redemption and
maybe I can get the New Madden. I should be
good until Granton Potto six.

Speaker 1 (08:39):
You have many variations of games that you will be
entertained until.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
I can pour it the Red Dead and go together.
I can pour it and go to Yota, and then
when the new year comes back around, I'm pretty sure. Yeah,
I got red Adenption to play Redemption and play that,
so I'll looking forward getting that. Only gotten, I only
played for like ten minutes so far. I'm here to
leave yesterday, so I'm looking forward to getting to that
maybe this weekend. And then also What's your Wife?

Speaker 1 (09:00):
I did also watch I Have to Give More too,
and and I also watched it so we can talk
and do a mini review right now.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
It was pretty good.

Speaker 1 (09:09):
It was pretty good for what I was expecting for sure, Yeah,
because usually.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
When I watched Adam Sandler movie, it's more like I
like it in spite of I know what this is, especially.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
On Netflix, because besides which I love, which Kevin loves
to talk about, and I got the reference it when
we watched this movie. Ueye, Halloween. They're most mostly movies Halloween.

Speaker 2 (09:31):
But I know it's not a great movie, but I
love why. It puts me into Halloween mood. It really
does a full mook. I went to watch it in
a month or two, but watching this, like going through it,
I'm just like a minute. Adam Sandler made a really
good movie. This could have made a couple a couple
of couple of bucks in.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
It really could have if they if they released this
in theaters in August, it wouldn't have probably swept up
because there's not a lot coming out besides like weapons,
which Aaron guys just talked about in the chat.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
Yeah that's pretty good. But I I mean, in the
world of now with movies, if you don't make a
billion dollars, you're a failure. This could probably could have
cleared the least two to three hundred million worldwide. I
feel like they could have made a decent amount on
this movie. I think recent the theaters first, then went
to Netflix. But nonetheless, the movie was good. I enjoyed it.
I enjoyed mjf was really good. I was surprised, im like, he.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
Had a tiny role. It wasn't a big role. So yeah,
well I was surprised because I didn't really I don't
know if I forgot or didn't realize Becky Lynch is
in the movie too. I'm like, yeah, Becky Lynch didn't
do too much, but you know, it's okay.

Speaker 2 (10:33):
I had a bigger role than than I'm to Becky Lynch.
But also I was really imployed by shooting mcgav and
I'm like, oh, I kind of like shooting mcgavvan. Now
that this is crazy.

Speaker 1 (10:42):
I think it's Chris McDonald who does Shooter McGavin. I
think has embraced the meme of Shooter McGavin so like
it makes it fun and not like, oh, just a villain,
you know, and then.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Getting a little spoiler, it makes happy to get more.
It's on Netflix. Watch it when you can. The way
they explore why he got into his funk, when they
basically his wife passes away, that I did not see
that coming at all. Oh no, he actually killed her,
it'd be pretty sad. And then going going into like
I was waiting watching an interview with him about it,

(11:15):
and basically they kind of have to rewrite the movie
because Carl Weathers had a big part in it until
unfortunately passed away. So I wondered if that's part of
the reworking of it. Basically it was.

Speaker 1 (11:26):
That making her do the car Weather's role.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, because I feel like there was I
saw something that she actually left him instead of her
passing away. So that's why I'm probad of a cool
like little switcher roof. But I'm all in all though,
the movie was great. Ben Sillerton, he's pretty good the
bad guy. Benny's softie. I'm not sure who this guy is.

Speaker 1 (11:47):
He is, actually he's one of the Softie brothers. So
he did Uncut Gems. He directed that movie with Adam Sandler,
so obviously I'm Sandler friends. And he's also if you
remember if you saw Oppenheimer, he was the sunscreen guy
that had a lot of sunscreen on his face.

Speaker 2 (12:00):
Okay, but he was great here. Joe Osman was pretty
good as a bad guy. Even the golfers that were
in the movie that are actual golfers.

Speaker 1 (12:07):
They did good. They were actually really funny and like
this is definitely like we caught the celebrity cameos. But
if you love golf, like you know the golf cameos.
Bad Bunny also killed it. I feel like Bad Bunny
was really good. You want some bridsticks, maybe a makeup fusion,
Italian sushi, no Italian.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
Even I think it's the golf of the Scotti Scheffler
guy that got rested. Secondly, he was great in it,
Like it's a scene where he's like he gets arrested,
he's king of the jail now because he's been in
jails somewhere. Hilarious. But yeah, definitely if you have time
this weekend or even this week, this evening, this during
the week, I want to watch a movie real quick.
Happy Gilmore's good. Also, those two hours, I didn't expect
that either.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
Yeah. I think it's like, oh okay, it's like two
big events, like we gotta get to those two things
and then all right, great first hour, second hour done.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
Also Erica what's his name? Dang it? Eric andndrays in
it in the right beginning. Very funny, very funny. But yeah,
all this is definitely I'm I'll go out of five.
It was definitely like a three out of five when
it comes.

Speaker 1 (13:08):
Yeah, I definitely hit the seven, seven out of ten, yeah,
something like that. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:12):
And Adam Sandler, I guess Universe of movies. This has
been his best probably since they.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
Click Huey hallowing you be yellowing.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
That's all what you've been up to.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
Yeah, so for me, I'm in. I don't remember if
I did, I even did what you're doing on Monday,
or it's just been so long. Dragon Ball Super I
got twenty episodes left, so we were real close. Just
saw Master Roe. She did his like final Command Male Wave,
which was dope and so really cool doing that, and
then we'll play Sparking zero more than I did. Finish

(13:44):
Squid Games last week, and that ending was a little disappointing.
I will say that wasn't how I wanted the show
to end, but it's how it ended, and it's gonna
kick off an American one most likely.

Speaker 2 (13:57):
Yeah, I've been hearing that it wasn't that great. I've
also been hearing that the Squid Games game show.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
The reality show. Yeaho I watched season one without more
because he thought it was dumb. But then we watched
battle Camp, which is that like Netflix like sort of
challenge like show with all the stars, and a couple
of people were on there, and I think I might
have convinced her to watch season two. I think season
two comes out like Thanksgiving, So it's the counter program

(14:23):
and the stranger things you have which is smart. Netflix like, hey,
we're putting technically the heavy hitters, Stranger Things, and a
Squid Games, not the one you want, but it's the
squid game. Still. When I have three hour episodes, balance
it with some squid games, people getting shot of paintball,
It's all good. And then on top of that, Kevin,
I am in the middle of God of War Ragnarok.

(14:45):
I'm full in to the point that Morris says, can
you stop playing that? And can we do other things?
Said no, I want to finish the story because that
game it's kind of hooks in me. This is more
the most it's had. It tooks in me because I'm
just playing that game. Stop right now. I was just like, oh,
treasure man, let me go find out where that is.

(15:06):
Oh what's that berserkers, I'll come to you later. I'm
not ready for you.

Speaker 2 (15:09):
I've gotten to the twist yet.

Speaker 1 (15:11):
I well, this is what I tell you, and then
you tell me where I'm at. I am in my
second battle with Gorm.

Speaker 2 (15:17):
Now, okay, second battle were okay.

Speaker 1 (15:22):
Because the first one ends and you're like, okay, we're done. No,
we're not done.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
So you're you're right at the cusp about the twist.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
So am I like halfways? We're expecting right sort of
right now?

Speaker 2 (15:35):
Yeah, basically after this part, because you have you haven't
fought she what was his name?

Speaker 1 (15:41):
It's ever played out, I'm not, but we're building up
the fighting him now. We got the spear now and everything. Yeah,
I got the.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
Spear and Rock blessed it. Okay, yeah, yeah, So after
this it's basical. I wouldn't say you're halfway. I would
say you're more of a third two thirds.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
I'm two thirds or two thirds to go? Yeah, two
thirds done, thank god? Two thirds ago. I'm like, oh no,
I keep doing these side tesks, and.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
You did all the stuff in you know, in the
imagination like Giant Land right with with.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
As far as I could tell.

Speaker 2 (16:13):
I mean about the big chuck in the game.

Speaker 1 (16:15):
It was I was like, oh, we're still here, all right?
Can we go back to that was the part I
was like, can we go back to cradles right now?
And I'm still like, can we go back to Cradles?
But I'm still like, all right, Well, I like learning
these low key things. It's kind of cool.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
The visive part of the game. But it was definitely, uh,
definitely a lot. I love the part of that, that
part when he runs away where you just see cradles
in the hallway, most terrifying making the world.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
Yeah, but so it's been fun, been rocking that. Mora
is going on a work trip next weekend for a week,
so I'm hoping we can get some quality just bang
that out. That game out next weekend. So excited to
talk about that.

Speaker 2 (16:54):
I've been getting a lot of gameplay kIPS for reason
on my TikTok for you page lately of got I'm like, shout,
I play.

Speaker 1 (17:00):
At the war now, good now.

Speaker 2 (17:03):
But that's what I've been doing, just a shout out
with you guys.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
Been doing the chat twisch at TV Sola's infant Underscore
pods and he Drogon had zero sugar Baja Blast and
it is a game changer. Even more of a game
changer is maxing it half zero sugar, half normal baja.
It's not as healthy as just full zero, but it
tastes real good.

Speaker 2 (17:21):
See I trying to kick the sugar, kick the sodas
because the caffeine.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
Fine. Aaron Giles picked up for his birthday pickups the
last roun in Last Days, which is that sort of
the new version of Last Running T M N T.
I've heard it's really good.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (17:35):
And he picked up The Boys Compendion Volume two, which
is great year up for when The Boys returns next year.
We've still gotta wait waits for that. Yeah, that's wild.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (17:44):
And then yeah, well let's get on into it, Kevin,
it's time for the news. And first things first, Well,
we gotta to talk about three oh three, poor thing.
He's arm. Oh, no, three things. There you go before

(18:06):
we get to our because uh, it's I just realized
this didn't even plan this that when we talk about
that movie, it will be the fourth thing we talk
about within the news story. So San Diego Comic Con.
It's this past weekend, it's the last days today. So
it's been great. We kind of waited to do the pod.

(18:29):
It's wild. It's already over.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
You can't hear the sound the things I heard him,
but you can't hear them.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
Okay, that's interesting. Oh, Aaron Kyles. Also, can you hear
this one? We're doing some testing testing yet where are you? Oh?
You know what, I know, I know what it is.
I do that and we're gonna do Did you hear

(18:58):
that one?

Speaker 2 (19:00):
I think I think I heard a little bit of it.

Speaker 1 (19:01):
Yeah, okay, we're working on we're working on the sound
of it. We had it for a second. That's gone,
but that's fine. If you watch the YouTube version, you
get the full version of the podcast. But it was
kind of a quieter comic con regardless. Not a lot
going on, and that's okay because you know, Fantastic four
is out. I'm not gonna hit use the things that much.

(19:22):
We had Superman recently, and obviously we've had Jurassic World,
We've had Thunderbolts, So this one was a lot more
about you, more focused fandoms. Obviously, we do have a
trailer for Percy Jackson Peacemaker, uh and gen V which
we're about to watch in a little bit. Any other tidbits,
Kevin that you saw that were kind of your Santao
comic Con cool tidbits.

Speaker 2 (19:41):
I did see that James Gunn announced the new song
for Peacemaker. It is a song called Oh God. I
can't remember the name of the band. It's called Cama
or something like that. I listened to a little bit
of it this morning. I will have to I don't
have to see the dance the song and then that
same energy you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (20:02):
Well, I think you need the dance. I think like
because the do you really want that song? You were
like all right, yeah, I don't know how we're gonna dance.
It's the same thing with hooked on a feeling like
I don't know how this is gonna be a thing,
but sure and then okay, yeah, and now now I
see it.

Speaker 2 (20:16):
Because like that that song and what was the other one? Hey,
that's that song. I feel like because of because of Guardians,
they came back into like.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
The main.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
It's called Old Lord by Foxes Zam.

Speaker 1 (20:31):
That's what it's called. Yes, and the singer of Foxy
Sam didn't the lead singer made a cameo in Superman
and uh, most famously you know him because he did
the Downtown song with mackelmore. He's the good Downtown You
know what. No, that's a good song, Kevin, that's a
good song. I don't know what you're talking about. Okay.

Speaker 2 (20:49):
I actually remember when the King jo and that song
will play and our friend friend of our our fellow
intern Kayla will hear me gas we have the studio.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
Oh I hate to sell well whatever, okay, whatever, folks
about Kevin.

Speaker 2 (21:06):
I know.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
It's fine, it's fine, but yeah, I'm excited. Obviously, we
gotta wait till we get that next month. I think
tidbit wise, I trying to think Funko like announced a
bunch of stuff. I was like, cool that. The interesting
thing I saw about Funko is that they're doing like
ELFs on the shelves, but it's Funko's on the shelves now,

(21:28):
so they have bendable legs so you can put it
like so it's good for decorating. So that's kind of cool.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
That's get another off on the shelf.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
Get ready downs of time because Halloween stuff's out, so
you might as well get ready to buy your Cristal stuff.

Speaker 2 (21:43):
It kind of makes me sad to because I'm not
ready for a summer to be over because I really
hate winter.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
Now it's cool, yeah, but here's the thing, Kevin and
the d mv uh this weather. It has been raining
and stormy like every day, so.

Speaker 2 (21:54):
So experience she went until like next February.

Speaker 1 (22:00):
But Kevin, uh, any other tidbits before getting the big hitters.

Speaker 2 (22:04):
That's all about all I got.

Speaker 1 (22:05):
All right, Well, let's get into some nastiness because we
have to break down let me know if you heard
that sound about Kevin heard it. So that's good. Uh,
break down a couple of trailers, now, Kevin dealer's choice.
Which one do you want to break down first? Peacemaker
gen v or Percy Jackson?

Speaker 2 (22:26):
Do I have person on my taple?

Speaker 1 (22:29):
You have Percy Jackson first? So that's we're gonna go to.
So we're gonna go straight to reaction theater. We're gonna
pop that up. Uh. So there is Percy Jackson in
The Olympian season two, which tended to is based on
Sea of Monsters. So this did get a movie too,
Uh not as okay, good any drugger heard that one
this time? Not as I don't think I've received well

(22:53):
received as the first one. But I don't think people
remember it as well as the first movie.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
Make two or three of those bridginal two of them.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Yes, and then it stops because we're like, oh, we're
getting another one that never happened.

Speaker 2 (23:05):
All watch a little bit of this, Watch the whole thing.
The Friday when I came out like I got my
wish like to spend a little bit of money. I'm
really I'm really excited about it.

Speaker 1 (23:15):
But yeah, besides that, obviously it's the same returning cast.
We know that from the first one, and they're all
grown is what we know for this one.

Speaker 2 (23:24):
There, but they're nowhere near the adults the stranger kids
and things kids are.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
That is true. We'll get there partly in season four probably.
But was married with a family, now, yeah, it is
what it is. She's married to a bon Jovi. That's
the whole thing. My and my family dynamics, that's a
whole thing. My moms with bon Jovi. So I know
way too much about that wedding.

Speaker 2 (23:45):
I love how your bon Jovi is like your mom's
I don't know, Zendia or whatever like that, like oession.

Speaker 1 (23:51):
Yeah, okay, all right, we know what Kevin's obsession is. Now, okay, okay, okay,
all cat Kevin. We can hit play and watch the
trailer one, A two, A three.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
My helmet, great stirring is under way.

Speaker 1 (24:14):
Stir that cup. Oh he oh, she looks the same.
You look old to think stone pirates that even lads more.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
Powerful than the will of the gods. My son gone,
what that guy?

Speaker 1 (24:39):
He's hermies.

Speaker 2 (24:42):
Brace yourself. Oh look, Peter, we all know that last
year you did something cool, but honestly, I don't even
remember what it was.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Posters. You sure you okay to do this?

Speaker 2 (25:07):
Oh, let's go do the impossible.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
Just when you think it's over, Syclops boy hell yeah,
all right, perfect love it? So uh oh I didn't
catch this part. I never said, boyfriend, I believe you.
I did not watch that part the first time. Oh yeah,

(25:36):
that's a secret delight right there. Uh yeah. Obviously the thing,
the thing that notoriously for the second Percy Jackson was
that he had a Cyclops half brother. And it looks like,
you know, they're making them look cooler this time. And
Tony five.

Speaker 2 (25:55):
Oh, I think for some reason that any belly what
we want to make like a Cyclops.

Speaker 1 (25:58):
Look like real, not weird. Yeah, but this one.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
Looks pretty cool for a budget. This isn't getting the
budget of you know what was that the Gods and
Monsters of Egypt movie they made a couple of years ago,
you know what it was. Anyway, it's not getting that
level of Brides of the Titans, I think, yeah, that's
what it's called. Yeah with with with Liam Neeson.

Speaker 1 (26:17):
Oh what the hell was that one? You keep going
to I'll find out what that movie was, but it's
not a clash of the Titans. That's what it was there.

Speaker 2 (26:24):
So to see how it looks for this it looks
pretty cool. I'm also happy that it looks like the
theme about the show is going to be they go
to camp and then go then let's leave whatever they want.
I'm totally four. I love that.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
Yeah, and like the vibes on this trailer like it is.
It is interesting comparing it to like I don't watch
the second movie in a hot minute. That's usually like
a hotel movie if in the hotel or something. But
like the bits I remember, obviously the cyclost being the
big thing, this does look like we're doing more, which
is great, and I think it's because we have a
series so we can flesh things out and don't have
to expY that things hit plot A plot, B plot

(26:58):
c within an hour and a half.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
Like the characters are more lived in in their roles
now times that they actually are literally physically older, they
just look like they kind of more note because I
felt like in the first season they kind of picked
up more towards the end of it, and that's kind
of when they all figure out their characters. This time,
they feel like they feel like they're lived in their characters.

Speaker 1 (27:19):
Oh yeah, you got a season under your belt. Now
it's the same thing, and it's any sophomore season or movie.
You know what you're doing now with these characters.

Speaker 2 (27:29):
I'm hoping that we get to see a lot more
of I want to say, big battles. I felt like
the battles in the first season, just again because I
hop on a budget because of the small size of
the first season, they couldn't do too much. It looks
like the Raisins takes a little bit more this time,
and I'm excited to see a lot more big actions
set pieces. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:49):
Besides that, though this is this is a teaser trailer.
I think we're due December. It's December tenth, so you
got that to watch on top of strange things like
we just said in The Squid Game's reality show. So
a lot'll watch this this holiday season. But overall, good
vibes and that's what we need for the show to

(28:09):
get people to hopefully watch it more again and hopefully.

Speaker 2 (28:13):
Hopefully maybe keep up the release strategy of like three
the first time, because I think that'd be good for
this show.

Speaker 1 (28:18):
Yeah, I think obviously we have wonder Man, which we'll
talk about a little bit later when we're talking about
that movie. I can't play the sound efect for it
just yet because still reloading. Is the next big Disney
Eyes of a Conda is the next thing, because that
comes out like next week because they moved it up. Yeah,
that was a com of cond that was. That was
a tidbit one that got announced, but this would be

(28:40):
the next big must watch on Disney plus thing after
wonder Man. I guess I didn't.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
Hear from a few influencers that the is really good.
But sometimes influencers can't really trust what they say because
they get stuff and it's like, oh it's great. I'm like,
come on, you don't want to but did you like it? Exactly?
Don't want any familis, but to be honest sometimes Okay.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
But Kevin, now where would you like to go next?
Gen V or some peacemaker.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
Some of gen V because those kids are crazy?

Speaker 1 (29:07):
All right, we'll go up to we'll go from some
kids to some groner kids, and then we'll go to
a grown adult. The age line we're going through here
on this podcast. So gen V season two did get
a get a full trailer, which we now we've known
for a couple of weeks. September seventeenth, we assume, knowing
how gen V and the Boys in Prime Video have been,

(29:28):
probably get three episodes and then weekly of like four
or five more episodes ending in October. Most likely. I'm hype.
That's my birthday, so I have stuff to watch on
my birthday, which is nice as long as I.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
Have things with Gary birthday. I didn't have anything watch
my birthday last year. I was kind of saying about.

Speaker 1 (29:44):
It because you're like right in the where like shows
take old days, would take spring breaks, and like, oh yeah,
we'll get you two more episodes and then we'll come back.
That's when your birthday is.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
Usually exactly obviously what it is. Also, it's also like
the calm Afford a summer block, Bunch of Seas was
some movies there.

Speaker 1 (30:00):
It's like, well but let's hit the watch on this
trailer and we can talk about it, which is got
a lot of cameos, which is exciting. So one A two,
A three mirror, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary.

Speaker 3 (30:20):
Watching this watch, Well, yeah, star liar baby.

Speaker 1 (30:32):
You can't stay on the run forever.

Speaker 2 (30:34):
I need your help.

Speaker 1 (30:35):
You need to go back to school.

Speaker 2 (30:37):
Who's going to watch this?

Speaker 1 (30:41):
The school needs to become a monument to mediocrity.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
That guy the new Deed, he was at Almira.

Speaker 1 (30:51):
Now he's a fucking adlking.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
So something's going on, but we don't know what.

Speaker 1 (30:55):
Flood is resuming a research program called Project that's Spear
and I need you to stop it.

Speaker 2 (31:06):
We're all on the same side here.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
This is bigger than us. You need to figure out
what the fuck he knows about Odessa very clear. Yeah
I saw it. I saw it. I hate it. Polaris
or yeah, Andre's dad and something else. I was like, Oh,
that's hilarious.

Speaker 2 (31:24):
You can all level up under the rifts my clip.
You could get the most powerful suit to ever come out.

Speaker 1 (31:31):
Of the Combat sports should be a college sport, right.

Speaker 2 (31:35):
I need answers. You want to know what Odessa means,
just how you find out. Sorry for believes on this weapon.

Speaker 1 (31:45):
Let's at least use it to do something or not.
Puppets this time to stop time has come stronger than
the others. Big big, Now embrace it a musical. Okay,
I'm down. This makes you one of the most powerful

(32:07):
soups in the world.

Speaker 2 (32:09):
It was the showdown.

Speaker 1 (32:10):
Okay, I was at a butthole.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
I'm not chosen.

Speaker 1 (32:14):
Ones are like Harry Potter neo fucking thro fucking throto. Yeah, dope,
I'm excited. It is weird. It is weird, just like
how they advertise gen V is very like you're watching
a free form show, like I get the vibes, like

(32:34):
we're playing like a fun weird like Cynthia song that's
like ethereal and it's like, oh this time on free
checking out on free Form, Like no, this is a
gen V Like, get it the hype it deserves yo,
like free Form blood Blood, you'll find out if someone's
pregnant this season and every season. Secret Life of the
American Teenager Man. That's a throwback fifteen years ago over

(32:57):
You're right, yeah, yeah, yeah, so I was see. We know.
It looks like they are handling the death of the
late Chance Perdomo, who played Andre on the show. They're
kind of writing or writing him off that he will
be the mystery death this season and what caused that,
And it looks like Polarity will kind of be stepping
into the role a little bit earlier than probably being

(33:18):
the villain that he was probably gonna be of just
a side secondary villain. I remember, we thought everything was
going right for this show because you know Marie Jordan
Kate remember Golden Boy kind of set things off. They
had teamed up with Cricket and who was it was
Sam That's there, you go. They all were like grouping together,

(33:39):
and you know, chaos is kind of happened on the campus.
Homelander comes in. You're like, okay, yeah, and they're like, oh,
damn you, Homelander. Damn it, we forgot. We thought you
were gonna be hero for a second.

Speaker 2 (33:51):
He is home wanted to be one of the most
complex villains of the last ten years, I feel.

Speaker 1 (33:57):
Like, and it's so nice of just like, yeah, like
I wouldn't be an award show would be smart if
they're said, here's David corn Sweat and Anthony Star presenting
an award and they just kind of look gived up
down to each other, like huh, okay, we're in verses
of each other.

Speaker 2 (34:12):
Okay, funny just saying it also looks like the dean
of this school may have his own motives.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
Yeah, And so the new dean is played by Hamish
Link later, most famous he was he's the voice of
the Batman in that prime video Batman show. Uhow more
recently and famously you probably saw him. He was the
Priest and Midnight Mass the Netflix vampire show.

Speaker 2 (34:35):
Yeah, that's pretty good show too, actually, but it looks
like he may be trying to get Marie to be
his soup and he's not. He's another one that's like
inside the group of the Chus Homelander. Yeah, we all
know that inside on Vought. They all look at the
hold on leader, but not all of them are actually
with and they kind of figure out ways to take

(34:55):
him down. He may be another one that's like on
that that side of things, and I kind of like
that making him, making him look like that he's the
villain the whole time. But I actually like, no, no really
going on.

Speaker 1 (35:06):
Yeah, So as of right now, this I think is
ending after season two. I don't think it's been greenlit
for a third season or if it can, because we
know The Boys' final season is airing in twenty twenty six,
and these two shows are kind of going hand in hand,
so it makes sense. Yeah, but we do know that
tentatively right now, there still is a Boys Mexico, which

(35:29):
is in pre production, and then vot Rising, which is
going to be more like a prequel show with Soldier
Boyd and sort of that original seven heroes that we
saw in the flashbacks for like season two or two.

Speaker 2 (35:40):
Boys Mexico's will be very, very entertaining.

Speaker 1 (35:42):
I'd mean, it's cool just to see like how Lucha
Libre inspired, like some of the characters are and stuff
like that. It'll be really cool.

Speaker 2 (35:50):
Or even like how I don't know they're involved with,
like like the drug trade down there, they're getting Druggs
over the like that. That would be really really cool
to watch to see how that is together.

Speaker 1 (35:59):
Yeah, remember Newman was in season one. She was kind
of Marie's little like we thought they were gonna have
a connection, and then she died off in the end
of last season of The Boys because of Butcher. So
it'll be interest to see just how we go and
how much this affects the next season of the Boys,
because this season two a degree affected something since season
five of the previous season of the Boys. So we'll

(36:21):
see where things go.

Speaker 2 (36:23):
So we got we got Sam and the lady Lady
that can influence by it.

Speaker 1 (36:26):
They popped up last season.

Speaker 2 (36:29):
It is basically kind of like Our Boys Finally prequel.

Speaker 1 (36:33):
It's like, hey, get ready, we're gonna give you nine
episodes or whatever, and you're gonna eighty episodes actually, and
you're gonna enjoy it.

Speaker 2 (36:39):
And I feel like this trailer kind of emphasized that,
like this is this is beginning of the end. Yeah,
exactly exactly. I'm not this is gonna be really cool.
The Boys is one of the most flawless, not only
superheroes pieces of media, but one of the most flawless
TV shows I've seen.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
A long time.

Speaker 2 (36:55):
Is good kind of like The Wire, like every season,
even even the Wires week season, the last fifth season
in the media, even that's still pretty good, you know
what I mean.

Speaker 1 (37:04):
Like, and the fun thing is too, because you know,
we are near enough the final season of The Boys, Like
now's a good time to binge watch it all and
just like kind of see if there's any payoffs or anything,
because you know, you got like eight nine months most
likely they can watch a season every year in this
that's seven seasons of you to watch some things of
the Boys.

Speaker 2 (37:23):
Just a s fair warning if you have kids or maybe.

Speaker 1 (37:25):
Older people, maybe not for them maybe do.

Speaker 2 (37:27):
Not watch it around them, but they want to come
into the scene where the guys walking inside somebody's dealing.

Speaker 1 (37:33):
That's the whole thing situation you're in. But if you
get skip through that, you're good.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
This may be a watch on your phone with your
AirPod show, not watch on the family television.

Speaker 1 (37:43):
Also, don't forget there is one season of The Boys Diabolical,
which was the animated spinoff that kind of teed up
a little bit of GENV not too much, but just
a little bit setting on Netflix, right, that was on Prime.
That was on Prime too, it was animated though. Yeah, well, Kevin,
let's get on over to the d C you and
talk about the new trailer for Peacemaker season two. Do

(38:04):
you really want to really want to taste it? Because
they did have a panel. John Cena showed up a
Peacemaker costume again, which is funny because he's w W
Champ so he doesn't have to be doing that stuff now,
but he still did it, which is fun Yeah.

Speaker 2 (38:18):
And also it was real quick. I could only find
the one trailer where he does the intro.

Speaker 1 (38:22):
Oh that's funny because I saw the only trailer I
found was the one that James Gunn did the intro
for oh, so what's interesting? So when I have was John,
I think the time they say the same thing. So
here's there. Okay, here's a little longer. Okay, well actually
all right, let me let me let me find that one.

Speaker 2 (38:37):
Hold on, I'll sing the Lincoln Discord.

Speaker 1 (38:39):
Which one did you go to? Which DC or HBO
Max Hox.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
That's why that's what I.

Speaker 1 (38:44):
Did it, all right there. It is funny though why
they did so maybe we'll talk about that purposely for
that so they'd have a panel. It was funny James
gun guys standing ovation, which which is great because you
know we're we're in the height of Superman coming out.
So I was like, you finally did it. You know,
we're hyped, we're in the dcuh and it is very funny.
Of I think they did it because the show is

(39:06):
doing multiverse stuff, but also because if you watch HBO
Max you would only know about peacemakers, so you want
John Cena. But if you're a DC fan, you like,
give me James gun as much as you can right now.
So that's an interesting little how they advertised it.

Speaker 2 (39:21):
Yeah, it's funny how like James gun is doing the
opposite of Kevin backing. You don't see Kevin Foggy when
the movie's coming out. That's when he does his press
towards his podcast.

Speaker 1 (39:28):
Or when he's doing the announcement at a San Diego
Comic con or upfront or something.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
Yeah, like, we won't see Kevin Foggy again until next July,
after this next two weeks. James guns out there just like,
Hey guys, finger gun in it. What's going on? He's
definitely like he's I feel like he's more part of
the the new way of geeky crowd than Kevin Packy's
more like the old geek way, right, Hell yeah.

Speaker 1 (39:48):
Hell yeah. But we know multiverses abound in this second
dimensions and everything. So on the count of three, Kevin,
let's watch John Cena intro the trailer for Beacemaker season two.
So one at two, at thirty. You all have been
waiting a long time for this one. Here's I don't
see anybody on the screen Season two. Enjoy now the trailers.

(40:12):
Hey guys, got beer? Okay, we'll get it one day.
Hand it to him late Ozzy Osbourne, I saw you.

Speaker 2 (40:31):
Love is Man. I don't want to be a joke.

Speaker 1 (40:33):
K mourn.

Speaker 2 (40:34):
I want to be a real.

Speaker 1 (40:35):
Hero, wear a clown costume.

Speaker 2 (40:41):
That's also Chris.

Speaker 1 (40:44):
Take something bad and make something good at it.

Speaker 2 (40:48):
I forgot his name is Chris.

Speaker 1 (40:50):
I think a lot of people did. You're being monitored
right now?

Speaker 2 (40:59):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (41:00):
Yeah, whoa?

Speaker 2 (41:02):
What is a problem?

Speaker 1 (41:06):
Portal leads to a parallel world deal.

Speaker 3 (41:11):
That is not.

Speaker 2 (41:16):
My son is a better man, you could even I've
tried to make up for my mistakes, but I'm not
sure redemption is possible.

Speaker 1 (41:23):
He's in love with you. Me and Chris is never
going to.

Speaker 3 (41:26):
Be a thing.

Speaker 2 (41:28):
I'm going to make a life in the other world.

Speaker 1 (41:31):
Good act this John Cena. He's gone places. You might
win it all to dude, that's sick rift that rip Jagger?

(41:53):
Who's Rip Jagger?

Speaker 2 (41:56):
Fatty Judo Man.

Speaker 1 (42:00):
No matter how green the grass is over there, you
will all here with us.

Speaker 2 (42:10):
Interesting. I think I said that here.

Speaker 1 (42:12):
We're gonna get Chris Patty. It's a full trailer too.
You mention your own self from a parallel dementia. It
still looks dumb, but it's fine.

Speaker 2 (42:28):
Yeah, that's grateful.

Speaker 1 (42:35):
My mom.

Speaker 2 (42:36):
We're going to my secret room.

Speaker 1 (42:37):
You're not allowed to follow up.

Speaker 2 (42:38):
You must be John.

Speaker 1 (42:40):
Uh huh, you're not that dorky. Yeah, Like I'm excited.
I know it comes out August twenty first. I think
that's doing a one episode of release thing, as far
as I know, I believe, so.

Speaker 2 (42:55):
Far as I think it's last one I did two
or three, I.

Speaker 1 (42:58):
Feel I can't remember really schedule, but it looks to
one episode on August twenty first.

Speaker 2 (43:05):
Yes, wow, I like what I said up though, and
that's setting up he basically is tired of being a
jerk in his own reality, so he won't go to
the new reality where everybody loves them.

Speaker 1 (43:13):
Like he's probably gonna mess that up for the other
piece maker.

Speaker 2 (43:16):
Yeah, that's a very interesting, uh, I guess thing to
create there. I'm hoping though it want those realities. He's
a wrestler kind of.

Speaker 1 (43:25):
Yeah. Like the interesting thing is like with this trailer,
if you kind of like put the pieces together, is
this isn't I think they're going to keep this universe
he's in where he's a jerk is the Snyder verse,
and that it potentially it could be the universe that
goes to is the DCU, So potentially, who knows. I know,

(43:46):
we're playing a lot with dimensions and everything already, but
you know already getting you know, Rick Flagg Junior being
addressed that kind of ties in the Suicide Squad into this.
So hopefully Margot Robbie is Harley Quinn, you know you
got interests elb uh. What was his character?

Speaker 2 (44:02):
Oh, I can't remember, what's lame, but I did see
it in a little thing that said he's coming back
at some point. So I'm happy about that because he
was a pretty cool character.

Speaker 1 (44:10):
In his blood Sport. That's what it was. That his
blood Sport. You kind of can tie these characters in.
So this is potentially, you know, a Rick Flagg Senior
that is completely different than one we just saw in
the movie and the one that's different from Creature Commandos.

Speaker 2 (44:23):
At the same time too, wondering if the Rick Flag
in his home world is the Rick flight is gonna
be hudding him down and the Rick Flag that we
saw in Superman it's a totally different Rick Flag that
maybe in that dream verse Rick Flag Junior either doesn't exist.
We're still alive.

Speaker 1 (44:37):
He just doesn't work for him, and that's why he's
in a government role and not in an actual like
Argust role. So It's gonna be fun if it was
anybody else's.

Speaker 2 (44:46):
James Gunnan says to be a huge failure, but I
feel like he's one that can kind of pull this
off and it can work. Also decided to see Tim
Meadows because Tim Meadows, I don't know how this shows
up and stuff every now, and he's good and always
works with something.

Speaker 1 (44:58):
Uh. Remember, this will be James Gunn's last, as far
as we know, instance of doing stuff directly for the DCU.
Obviously Creature Commando, Superman than this. Beyond that, I think
we might be, you know, diversifying our directors a little bit,
which is cool, and will actually be seeing different visions
and versions of stuff in the DCU. Obviously, you know

(45:20):
this looks a lot different than Superman and Creature Commanda
is That's that's a whole different thing too. But yeah, regardless,
I'm excited and you know in James Gunn, we trust.
So James Gunn has a missed since Guardians.

Speaker 2 (45:31):
So yeah, I mean some people say Guardians Too isn't
as strong, but it's still a pretty good movie.

Speaker 1 (45:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (45:38):
And also James Gunn wrote The Infinity, the Infinity Infinity
Stone backstory.

Speaker 1 (45:43):
Yeah, Weekend so he can do that. He did it
like eight minutes. I think it was what he said,
So like, if he can do that in eight minutes,
then what he can do with months of planning to
connect everything for the DCU.

Speaker 2 (45:52):
I'm also hoping that this isn't the final season. Hope
again at least one more.

Speaker 1 (45:57):
Oh no, that's that's interesting. It just depends the way
we're going with the DCU. Really, I feel like because
it's like, all right, cool, Peacemaker was great, but we
got to move on. We need to get Batman on
the screen. Guys.

Speaker 2 (46:10):
Sorry, if if you want to keep on like a
presence on screen that's not one of the big like
let me have lanterns next year. M and if you
want to keep a president that's more focused on like
you know, those governmental groups inside dc cabinets argus, I
think peace Maker will be perfect for that kinde of thing,
always working with working for one one of them, or
even shoot, maybe he's the leader of a squad movie

(46:30):
he's leading suitside squad.

Speaker 1 (46:31):
Now or or I think just also like if we're
just building up the Justice Gang two could be cool
just because you know, like I always remember like those
Justice League animated or Justice League ut Limited, Where's like, yeah,
we have one hundred heroes in the Justice League. Now
it's like, yeah, but I only know like ten of you.
Like the other ones are just set dressing more than anything.

Speaker 2 (46:50):
It's always fun with every episode of that even though
I love that show, it was always like Wonder Woman, Hawking, Dove.

Speaker 1 (46:56):
Hell by that time. By the time we get there,
this time will no exactly, but that does it for
our trailer time. So Kevin, we can switch on over
back to the normal view because it's time to go
back to mcu in review and talk about Fantastic four.

(47:23):
So let's break it down. My Fantastic fore hat on
now I've been drafted by the Fantastic Force Future Foundation.
Kevin Faggy, how you doing, guy? Guys, We're gonna have
a great time with Marvel's characters. So we have both

(47:44):
seen I'll I'll get like two more and then I
pause on that's don't worry. Kevin has actually seen it twice.
So the best thing we love about our reviews. You know,
we are in forty five minutes into a Fantastic four
titled podcast. We're finally talking about the damn movie. But
it is what it is. It's okay. We the trailers,

(48:05):
I told you, I told you, But we do our
theater review on non spoiler. We give it a score
and then you can pose it. The best thing is
once you go see the movie, come back, we'll pick
up right where we just were and go full spoilers
and talk about with you and then add it to
our MCU rankings and all that stuff as well. But
the funny thing is why we wait in and why
we didn't have episode on Thursday is you know Kevin's university,

(48:28):
so gave time for that so they could have a
good time. And also is that way you guys the
people could also see the movie and spoil with it
with us as well.

Speaker 2 (48:39):
Yeah, we don't want to wait for you. Guys usually
do this on like the day of opening. Yeah, like
you said, I didn't ask what a hoodie is offered us?

Speaker 1 (48:48):
Oh sure, I'll take I'll take it door. But Kevin, uh,
you saw it twice. You saw it with me, you
saw it with Eric, and we saw it with his
son Max. You also saw it with your wife. Now
which one did you enjoy more?

Speaker 2 (49:03):
Not for the people that was around me, but I
enjoyed it more the first time, because it's always the
first time you watch something, always like you can't get
that back, but also use a little bit of our
theater experience. We actually saw this in the brand who
refurbished Imax in National Air and Space Museum in d C.

Speaker 1 (49:20):
The DC one. So the DC one, I the Oudvar
Hazy is the one that's in Chintilly. That one's still
the mega Imax that's like close to being the true Imax.
This is the one that is in the DC one
that's off of Lafont Plaza Metro that who that theater
got an upgrade because last time I was in there
it was Spider Man Home Homecoming, uh or no Far

(49:42):
from Home, and theater was real crusty then.

Speaker 2 (49:45):
So this one was great. Like there's also like at
the back back back top. It's like almost like a
I guess our boxes almost like.

Speaker 1 (49:53):
Because they have like little tree tables and you can
get uh yeah, I'll say the first yeah. So it
was really cool. Obviously, Kevin will share more about his
details with his wife because I wasn't there, so I
need to know the details of the theater review. But
we both got to go, which is really dope. It
was really cool because like that theater is very like

(50:15):
that museum overall is very vibes of this movie. So
it worked perfectly for this of like you know, Fantastic
four heavily in this are very tied to, you know,
the space race to a degree, like in the nineteen
sixties in this universe because we are for this movie
Earth eight to eight, which was really cool. At the
end of the movie, this is a spoiler, but it's
not really a big spoiler. It's inspired by Jack Kirby's

(50:37):
birthday was August twenty eighth, so that's why it's Earth
eight to eight. When we left the theater, there was
an vax swing was there. I was like, hell yeah,
that acting was real cool. I was like, I kind
of want to get lost in the US and we did.
It was really and I'm like, can I can I
hide in this? This is the one museum I want
to hide in And just like, see all the things
at night.

Speaker 2 (50:59):
Are hiring for nights?

Speaker 1 (51:00):
Can can we can?

Speaker 2 (51:01):
We can we watch this?

Speaker 1 (51:02):
But we saw the movie. It was really cool. Matt Shackman,
the director of the movie, was actually at our screening,
so it was really cool. Got a video of that.
You can see at Andrew Hoodie on TikTok if you want.
It was really cool for him to do a little
intro and he actually saw them watch the movie behind
us then literally the roll behind us. He was two
seats down away from Eric, so the big move when

(51:23):
Eric took Max to the bathroom, he blocked Matt Shackman
from watching his own movie.

Speaker 2 (51:28):
I know I was there, but I kind of still
want to see it.

Speaker 1 (51:32):
Like I've watched this hundred times by now, but it's okay.
So it's really cool. We will say in our theater. Uh.
And this was a welcome to DC moment. We are
in the quiet part of this movie during the back third,
we're doing non spoiler right now, and it's like, oh,
what's gonna happen to this character? Some guy in the

(51:52):
backpack row goes, well, you shut up, and it was
just like, Bro, you do not realize the director's ere
that's not what you want to do right now.

Speaker 2 (52:01):
I don't know what was going on. I don't know.
It was like talking to his to his child or talking.

Speaker 1 (52:06):
To Oh it was a stranger that definitely wasn't a
kid he was talking to.

Speaker 2 (52:10):
It was because I mean people, I mean, we always
don't talk to movies. We are talking to the movies.
I didn't hear anybody talking outside of being you and Eric,
so I don't understand how loud they thought they were
because it wasn't that loud, So I don't know what
it noted that response.

Speaker 1 (52:23):
It's great, but overall was really cool. It was funny
because it wasn't Imax screening. But this, I guess the
screen at that museum is bigger than the Imax format,
so it didn't take up the full screen. That's okay,
and it took up whatever it could. But had a
great time. Kevin. Now compare it to your time when
you saw it with your wife. How did that theater
experience go?

Speaker 2 (52:44):
I actually did spring for the the Imax tickets this
time because of Galactus into that in a second. I
can't see this on the recro screen. I need to
Galactus in his full Imax glory. So I actually this
spring was Imax because the Imax in Columbia I believe
redone recently, so it wasn't the same because I saw Transformers,
Dark of the Moon and Imax back in the day,

(53:06):
and it wasn't it definitely wasn't the same theater that
I saw, definitely more revamped. And then that and that scene.
Also the Imax has like the also the mc dopey
thing going on with it, so that the chairs are
reacting to what's going on on the screen. So it
was a great theater experience. I will say, I don't know,
maybe I'm spoiled because we go to a lot of
these screenings for people that want to see these movies.

(53:26):
I feel like the the Baltimore County slash Our County crowd.
It's not as excited the CDs.

Speaker 1 (53:35):
Like we're just going to see a movie. We got
movie past.

Speaker 2 (53:37):
Because like the parts that were funny and there was
like ha ha, it wasn't like I already laugh, Like
it wasn't what we saw it on Tuesday night, And
like even like the more emotional scenes, I'm like, are
you guys watching this? This is this is christ is
Chris is crazy? Something I experienced that with with deput Wolverine.
I thought it was hilarious. We saw it, and then

(53:58):
when I saw it again, it was like, you got.

Speaker 1 (54:01):
Maybe you need to find a new theater. keV. That's
what I think. That's the vibes. You gotta find the
right crowd all the times. I'm pretty early now, because
that's why you gotta go to the aida clock crowd.
You gotta go with the eight o'clock.

Speaker 2 (54:12):
That could be why, but I was just like their experience, like, man,
you guys are bored. But other than that, I didn't
get my kettle corn unfortunately. I did get a camel
corn on. It's pretty good. It was pretty good, actually
a little bit too rich. I couldn't finish it. Actually,
that's what I throw it away.

Speaker 1 (54:29):
Uh. And then did you see any of the popcorn buckets?
Because obviously the big talk of this movie was the
Glactus popcorn bucket and Aaron Giles and the chat said
his AMC concession worker talked him into he couldn't get
a galactus bucket, but he did get the light up
human torch cup. Did you see a galactus bucket or No?

Speaker 2 (54:46):
Didn't see any. I did see a couple of Herbie Wanes, though.

Speaker 1 (54:49):
The Herbie one kind of was the sleeper hit because
like I saw, I was like, the Herber one's pretty
cool and does more stuff than the Galactus one.

Speaker 2 (54:56):
I don't know if guys have seen this on your
for You pantalk, but the we Waffed Winklin song, it's
just adorable. But I saw that one. I didn't see
any other ones though. I kind of for a split
second thought about Spring for the Black this coming by
saw it. I was like, no, there's no way.

Speaker 1 (55:14):
I was like, if I like, you can, because it's
the thing is popcorn buckets in themselves now or like
you just buy them wholeheartedly online. Don't get the popcorn bucket.
You're just paying eighty dollars full out for just the bucket,
no popcorn in it.

Speaker 2 (55:27):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (55:28):
And I was like, let me just see it was
completely sold out. I was like, all right, that's that's right,
that's right. We don't need that.

Speaker 2 (55:34):
We don't need it. But the fairy experience was pretty good,
like I said, with my channels before that, and I
thought was like an upscale Panera, not a full out restaurant.
And so but thankfully, like I said, AMC shows like
a half hour of movies and trailers now, so I
didn't see any trailers. So there was a rumor that
Avatar fire and Natural before this. I'm not sure if
that happened or not.

Speaker 1 (55:54):
I think it did. I just I think it might
have been selective where it played. I think, Okay, yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (56:00):
Am thinking that this might be that after moving from
that gets me.

Speaker 1 (56:03):
I took him three tries, you know, to d now.

Speaker 2 (56:09):
Okay, so I did so a say it was the
very last one, So I wasn't Aaron just put it
in a chat. It it made made you excited for
the movie. But I feel I've seen a couple of
scring crabs of it, and I'm like.

Speaker 1 (56:20):
This might be one for me. This might be it
might be the after moved against me.

Speaker 2 (56:23):
I'm not sure.

Speaker 1 (56:24):
I'm not sure. To get well, Kevin, let's get into
it non spoiler thoughts. They don't get it a score
before going to spoilers. Uh, what did you think of.

Speaker 2 (56:42):
I was really nervous going to this movie because you've seen.

Speaker 1 (56:45):
It twice too now, so your thoughts might have changed. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (56:48):
It wasn't until early we saw two year on Wednesdy
cant remember what day it was, Wednesday. Wednesday was until
early Wednesday when the reviewing barbles stopped and I saw
the the just the ridiculous amount of positive reviews come out.
Was like, Okay, we might be in for some uh
for some excitings here. So when we got there and
we sat down watching a movie, I actually was like, wow,

(57:11):
I really enjoyed that.

Speaker 1 (57:12):
It was really, really, really good.

Speaker 2 (57:15):
It is not the upper upper, upper upper echelon of
MCU when we're talking about end game and stuff like that,
because I mean, we had to build a end game,
we had build a Spider Man no Way, and we
had to build all those movies. But for our first
time out, for a brand new group of heroes debuting
in an auction universe, this is what This was a
really fun time to theaters. I also think because I

(57:35):
am a family man, a family guy so to speak.
Actually in the Family of Four it's early four of us,
Fantastic four and all that, a lot of the beats
from Red I kind of connected to a lot because
I feel like that as as the dad, as the leaders,
as a husband, I'm like, I'm trying to do all
these things, and you guys are thinking I'm mean, I'm
not mean.

Speaker 1 (57:55):
I'm just trying to help us, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (57:58):
And then even the stuff with with Sue and trying
to protect her son, I'm like, I see that with
my wife. Uh, I think my wife couldn't have galacted.
She had to.

Speaker 1 (58:08):
You know, she will try, she will try, and even
even I.

Speaker 2 (58:13):
Also liked how I've been seeing different people opinion on
this because usually in the comic books, h Johnny the
human towards Johnny Storm, he's more of a literal hot head.

Speaker 1 (58:26):
Or a playboy. Yeah, I kind of.

Speaker 2 (58:29):
Like howydaling him back to more than just a hot
head in this because granted, as soon as we're getting
a spoilers business, this is the trailer when she showed
up and he flew after her, that's something at hot
heead but do what's that? I'm gonna get it down.
But seeing him actually figure things out was really really
really cool because he is an astronaut, He's a little atronaut.

Speaker 1 (58:47):
I thought like this this movie did a good job
of like explaining, yeah, all four of them deserve to
be they're not just friends and families and getting a
family pass to go up on the ship, you know.

Speaker 2 (58:57):
Exactly, And even with Ben Grimm, how they it was
the subtle touches of how he misses his own humanity,
but it wasn't like overt like like the First to
be again exactly.

Speaker 1 (59:07):
And Kevin, your thoughts on I guess the other three
Fantastic Four movies beforehand, did you like did you like
those three? Which one did you like better? All that stuff,
just to kind of go into this. I like the
first one.

Speaker 2 (59:17):
First one came out like right after Spider Man.

Speaker 1 (59:19):
I think I feel like it was on three something
like that. Yeah, Like the first one.

Speaker 2 (59:24):
Wasn't terrible, second one was. I didn't really like it
too much, and then the third one I never really
got past. Like the first fifteen minutes ever, was saying,
like the first few minutes really good and goes downhill.
I want to talking here, like, no, I'm gonna stop.
I want to keep it here, want to be attracted,
stop right here and keep a good idea of it.
The one thing I didn't like of the last one

(59:45):
was honestly the picture of Johnny Storm because and I
think it was because we have just seen Chris Happens
and so much stuff where he was always like the
hot head, jock, superstar type of guy. I was like,
I'm tired of this trope and just just listening to
really smart you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (59:57):
Yeah, But all in all, this is a great time
in the theater.

Speaker 2 (01:00:02):
Go go see it. If you haven't seen it yet,
no drugs. You've seeing it on Tuesday, but it takes
for Friday too. We want to see it again. Probably,
I would definitely give it.

Speaker 1 (01:00:10):
A point there you go. Yeah, I think also Kevin
even said it's worth he saw it in Imax twice.
The Imax intro for this movie is hype. They they
surprisingly tested it for us when we went to go
see Thunderbolts two months ago, and it was the same thing.
But it's still like hell yeah, And like anytime it does,

(01:00:33):
Kevin and I are putting the fours up, you know,
like as I was out at the screen, and I
think that's like the moments that like movies make become
a bigger thing to you. You know, it's end game
is always a big deal to me because you know
it's Kevin when yeah, we all went yeah collectively when
Cap got the Hammer, this was you know, gonna be
doing that anytime that happens, and I'm excited that hopefully

(01:00:55):
in Avengers Day they do. I hope that's how they
intro him in, like they get the beat and it's
the whole sound and everything.

Speaker 2 (01:01:06):
We'll get to that too. Because I have a theory
about doomsday.

Speaker 1 (01:01:09):
We'll get there. This is a long podcast. We didn't
have a podcast on Thursday, so this is a long podcast.
Strap in Everybody, But I think Giachino, Michael Giacchino killed
it with this soundtrack of this movie, just because like
that the Fantastic for like that was the vibe of
this whole movie, that retro futuristic of wholesome, you know.

(01:01:31):
Aaron Giles said it best, like it's the complete opposite
intro to The Thunderbolts, where it's dark and scary. In
your motions and your feels this movie you have that
sense of wonder, you know, like the interesting thing is
when and this is non spoilers was fine. Normally, when
Marvel movies come out, they usually introduce the character to
Avengers Campus at Disneyland, primarily because that's the whole theme

(01:01:51):
park rights thing. Like for Thunderbolts they had Red Guardian.
This time they put the Fantastic Four in Tomorrowland, and
that's such the right vibe of that's what you're supposed
to get when you go to Tomorrowland at Disney World,
or Land of just like innovation and an exploration in
the world is our oyster and all this stuff. Wouldn't
be surprised if Disney kind of revamps Tomorrowland a little

(01:02:11):
bit after this, and Tron and all that stuff.

Speaker 2 (01:02:15):
Revamp soon.

Speaker 1 (01:02:16):
Yeah, yeah, put put some red on it, you know,
SA Tron areas all day. I will say off the bat,
this is probably the best Marvel movie to watch if
you're trying to get back into Marvel movies and or
you've you've missed out, or you don't care anymore. Because
even more, I was like, I kind of would have

(01:02:36):
wanted to see it most. See it. When she has
time Skot workship coming up, we'll see it. Maybe is
a little letreat ski for her. But this is a
good entry point of you don't need to do your
homework really with the other Marvel movies. Sure, Thunderbolts had
a tee up cameo thing at the end credit scene
spoiler that not really resolved in this at all. That's

(01:02:57):
that is a spoiler, But that's okay. But besides that,
it is funny. My dad actually texted me today before
the podcast like, oh, watch Dead pull him over. I
know it's great. I was like, yeah, go see Fantastic four.
It's really good. It's like, but what about it, but
didn't he die. I was like, that's different. Don't watch that.
That's the only thing you need to forget, Like that's
not the same human torch. But I thought this world

(01:03:17):
was really fun. I think I'm a sucker. I think
it is because the Disney vibes of what we both
are just like, oh, that's cool, Like this is going
into the carousel of progress and it's like this is
what I should look like, you know, and all that
good stuff. I thought the cast killed it. I thought
the chemistry was great, especially because you know, we know
Daddy Pedro kills it and everything. You know, cousin Evan

(01:03:41):
Moss macrack has been killed in the Bear. But Joe
Quinn and Vanessa Kirby like this was kind of their big,
like big fandom cultural moments because obviously so Joe Quinn
killed it in Change of Things, but that was like
his first big breakthrough thing and now he can kill
it again. Vanessa Kirby's kind of been a side player
and now she is the main mommy of the MCU.

(01:04:03):
You know, I'm gonna say it.

Speaker 2 (01:04:04):
I gotta say, but that's the Kirby.

Speaker 1 (01:04:06):
What a she makes.

Speaker 2 (01:04:08):
Everybody's playing it maybe suit Stormy as a family I
will I will say so spoortly Superman in Fantastic Four
have similar plots and point at some points. And Superman,
you gave that like that big speech about how he's
a human in the end of it. To me it
felt kind of cheesy whatever, but this does speech that

(01:04:29):
Vanessa is about saving her son.

Speaker 1 (01:04:31):
I was like, yes, you saved that boy, saving that boy,
And like, this movie has interstellar vibes. You know, it's
got like, you know, those nineteen fifties vibes of here's
the World of Tomorrow vibes in that too, and it's got,
you know, some classic superhero vibes. I will say it
is interesting just seeing like the reverse of you know,
the Incredibles were heavily inspired by a Fantastic Four and

(01:04:53):
seeing this movie being heavily inspired by The Incredibles, where
it is very more family focused and not just four
friends and two of them are dating, putting put together
kind of how the Fantastic Four. The old movies used
to be. I'm a sucker for the first for Rise
of Silver Surfer and the other Fantastic Four movie because
they are very cheesy and cornery and that was superhero
movies at the time, the Michael B. Jordan one, and

(01:05:15):
watched once and never watched again. But I think this
was just a good time. It is just it's a vibe,
and I think this really is a Marvel movie that
is more akin to the earlier Marvel movies we wanted
of like how can we do a Marvel movie without
having to watch one hundred projects to do it? Yeah,
And then like.

Speaker 2 (01:05:34):
Going back to just before we get the spoilers part,
like the visuals alone in this movie, Like I can't
wait to watch this movie at home because there's so
much like I don't know, I don't want to say
Easter eggs, but it's just like visual stunningness of this
sixties era of futuristic technology, like and then like this
is stuff in the air like that because this is
nineteen sixties. I think I never saw a newspaper to

(01:05:56):
say the sixties.

Speaker 1 (01:05:57):
Or what time frame?

Speaker 2 (01:05:58):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, but I know that that whole nostalgia
of that era of what we thought the future was
going to be it said like that, Yeah, But like
there's like stuff like the old can, the dry logo,
there's a thing that's the archaeo Pictures Presents Walt Disney.

Speaker 1 (01:06:10):
Yeah, like the old ABC logo. Yeah exactly.

Speaker 2 (01:06:13):
It's like, oh, this is so cool, I want to
skim it to me now.

Speaker 1 (01:06:18):
Yeah. I think eight point five out of ten for sure.
I think it is well worth seeing it in theaters,
especially in Imax because the Galactus scenes I've seen it.
I think a lot of people have seen it on
TikTok and Twitter of just like the comparison of you
see Galactus's head versus seeing Galactus's whole body is like
night and day on this movie.

Speaker 2 (01:06:38):
Almost almost compared that to because I saw the first
Imax movie I saw a little Imax theater was Transformers
Revenge of the Fallen and I know the movie is
not that great, but but there's a scene in there
where like Sam is looking up outimist Prime talking to
him and you see the scale and it's like it's
jaw dropping. In this movie, when Galactus stands up, you

(01:06:58):
feel like, whoa, I'm a bug.

Speaker 1 (01:07:01):
That's a big old head that's just said.

Speaker 2 (01:07:04):
And the voice too, voice.

Speaker 1 (01:07:11):
You want to try your like old man River song,
like it's deeper.

Speaker 2 (01:07:14):
Than and also she was her name, Julia, Julia Conner. Yeah, correct,
amazing as a silver surfer.

Speaker 1 (01:07:24):
Yeah, and I thought very cool visuals with silver Surfer
where it was like, yeah, we know this is a
CGI character, but like the vibe is cool and you
can do stuff as a cool silver surfer in space literally,
and even that her one scene has.

Speaker 2 (01:07:37):
Been in every trailer and every I herald your beginning,
I herold it hits even.

Speaker 1 (01:07:44):
It's a TikTok sound now, so it's gonna hit for
a little bit too.

Speaker 2 (01:07:47):
So I herold his beginning.

Speaker 1 (01:07:50):
Harold are in Harold Gun Actance. Well, let's get into
full spoilers, so we're gonna let you know right now. Hey,
we both really liked the movie and eight and eight
and a half out of so definitely go check it out.
But if you haven't seen the movie and you want
to wait, we can pause it right now and then
when you go see the movie, maybe that's today, maybe
that's tomorrow, maybe that's when it comes on Disney Plus.

(01:08:11):
You can come pick up this podcast. We'll put in
the scription too when the spoilers happen, which is all
right about now. Uh and uh, you can catch out
and hang out with us. We'll also do r MCU rankings.
At the end too, so you can skip round to
that too. But you're three two one full spoilers abound.
Everybody lived, Everybody lived. Everybody's okay, We're good.

Speaker 2 (01:08:32):
You know, just a thing we'll talk about in the
end of it. But everybody's okay.

Speaker 1 (01:08:35):
You know, even Colactu, he's just he's somewhere else. Let's
let's take Mkini bottom and move it somewhere else the
movie tomorrow my Instagram, So Aaron Guile said, My only
softca point was a lack of strong fight scenes. But
you aren't gonna beat Galactus brute force.

Speaker 3 (01:08:52):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:08:52):
And then mole Man, I thought, oddly enough, we knew
John Malkovich was supposed to be red Ghost, and then
obviously Paul Walter Hauser was a Moullman. Their sort of
character descriptions were kind of maybe a little lost in
a little opening montage of just like who the Fantastic
for a and said at the Future Foundation, But I

(01:09:13):
do think Moleman coming in obviously connecting to Incredible to
the underminer is was more of a comic relief and
a bit of very serious of like what the hell
are we doing? And then it's like Okay, great, we
have Paul walter Hauser being funny, interacting, making a joke
on Herbie and make I think I think it was

(01:09:35):
a joke on the thing I think he made too.
That was like, all right, cool is what we needed
a little bit.

Speaker 2 (01:09:40):
It was also a joke on Johnny Storm. He said, like,
don't be mad, john I didn't pick here off it.

Speaker 1 (01:09:44):
Yeah, it was like that. But I think the other
thing is too. At the end of the movie, Galactics
gets sucked in the portals. That's her big spoiler is
pretty much and I saw this TikTok have you probably
saw too any media form of Galactus being introduced, he's
usually just sucked away in a different portal, so he's
never defeated. He just transported somewhere else. Usually there was

(01:10:08):
kind of a.

Speaker 2 (01:10:08):
Run when they turned him into a person for a
little while to figure out how to fix him. But
usually he's not put him in the portal, will be fine.

Speaker 1 (01:10:14):
Yeah. That dates to Lego Marvel's Avengers, which came out
like fifteen years ago Marvel Fortnite the Crossover, when Galactus
popped up all over that's usually what happened to Galactys.

Speaker 2 (01:10:26):
I will say that the echo any drug, and John
makes ours point even though like first of the Moman thing,
even though he wasn't really giving a backstory, that the
back of form human read made his world feel lived in,
Like they go to other back all the time, and
they don't like to each other at all. It's not
even like a like you know, it's kind of an
on site thing with that. Once I see you, we

(01:10:47):
gotta fight. I'm not having words for you that's ready
to fight. And then also the lack of action thing.
I will it was the lack of action, but I
will say the action that happened was so tense. So
when they go to space to me Galactus the drop
to get away from him after after Susan goes into labor,
it was dope. I was kind of putting my figuernails
into This is part two.

Speaker 1 (01:11:08):
I love. I love Part two. Well, let's go through
the whole plot. Then we'll talk about the things we like,
things we didn't. So we kick off. It's on Earth
eight to eight. We're celebrating the fourth anniversary of the
Fantastic Four being born, which I thought was really cool. Uh,
there you go through up the four, So I had
to do it. So it is really kind of akin
to how Superman handled its opening scenes of hey, it's

(01:11:31):
already happened, and here is what, uh you know established,
we know the four went up. Potentially someone else went
that we'll find out later, because that's usually canon to
have Fantasic four works. A solar flair happened, which is
the same thing that happened in the other Fantastic Four movies.
They got powers coming down essentially is what happened. And
the cool thing is they save the day. The world

(01:11:52):
loves them. They are the world's champions, setting up the future.
Foundation in the world is you know, in a progress
utopia mode because of the fantas read Richards, but the
Fantastic Four, and they're all smart, which is great too.

Speaker 2 (01:12:04):
Yeah, and there's other thing that's so great about this,
like they were so inspiring and hopeful that they literally
created world peace. Whereas you know in the are not
six one six, it's still things popping off everywhere. There's
no world piece in six.

Speaker 1 (01:12:18):
Yeah. Wait it is though, and you know in this
right off the bat, we're not doing the we have
family dinner every every Sunday at seven pm. That was
just a fun little teaser line thing because it is
family dinner reading still guess what they're expecting. They got
a retro futuristic pian a stick thing. I was like,
they touched that, that's the whole thing. But whatever, retro futurism.

Speaker 2 (01:12:40):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:12:41):
And it is, you know, they're having their family dinner
where they show up late, and it is immediately, hey,
we're expecting we're gonna be.

Speaker 2 (01:12:46):
A family, to be a family, a family, a family
of five.

Speaker 1 (01:12:49):
Now Fantastic five, which was a joke at the end
of the movie.

Speaker 2 (01:12:53):
I long wondered what they did that in the in
the comics, but I'm not. I'm not a big Fantastic.

Speaker 1 (01:12:57):
Four, five and six. Well maybe you will be, remember
real Bay after that was coming. But it is, this
is really off the bat silver Surfer is coming down.
It is you know, eventually find out her name Shallaball,
so we'll use them interchangeably. But she says, you know,
I harold his big geting, and I harold your and
I harold got actus. And it is like keV said,

(01:13:18):
Johnny running off after her. He has him and Reed
have kind of picked up innerspace messages. Eventually find out
later in the movie, it is Shalloa ball kind of
talking and messaging people. Johnny does get caught up Silver Surfer.
She says like, I don't remember what the exact message
was off the top of my head, but die with yours. Yeah,

(01:13:41):
it was like an honorable message, which throughout the movie,
Johnny eventually just sum up that plot the codes and
uses a Rosetta stone with that message to be able
to talk to Silver Surfer, which is cool because it's
really like this. Johnny isn't jockey and all full sports
as Chris Evans was. He is smart and is using
his brain.

Speaker 2 (01:14:00):
And also, I didn't know Retunda Stone was actual technology.
I thought it was just a thing of software, that.

Speaker 1 (01:14:06):
It was a rock. It's a rock, Kevin that they
used to the cipher legend. It's in the British Museum.
That's last name Stone.

Speaker 2 (01:14:14):
No it's not.

Speaker 1 (01:14:16):
But essentially this leads to the Fantastic Four saying you know,
we will save you, we will be your champions, and
uh uh making faster than light technology, which looked like
those little pods that the Jedi star fighters go into
in the prequel movies to go faster than light to
reach a planet that's been marked for destruction by Galactus
as soon as they.

Speaker 2 (01:14:37):
Too, because in six one six we learn we have
jump points. It's basically points you can jump in to
Warmon's jump out all over the MCU. Maybe they haven't
found that yet and A two they did. I don't
want to use it.

Speaker 1 (01:14:48):
And that's the thing like once we get to Vengers Doomsday,
like you have read interacting with a rocket and you're like, yeah, hey,
like we have jump points, we don't need those stupid
pod machines. But as they arrived the planets being destroyed
by Glacys ship, we get and it's very shades of
Star Wars too. They get trapped by tractor beam, like hell, yeah,
I can't beat a good old tractor beam, get sucked

(01:15:10):
up into Galactus's big ship as it's destroying the pant planet.
Find out Galactus has an unsatiable hunger which has driven
him to consume planets for eons. But it is funny
when the tractor beams going off, it's like scanning the ship.
It scans it and it's kind of like a Family
Guy a bit where like Triple take on Sue and
it focused on rebellions, like oh, that's not good.

Speaker 2 (01:15:32):
That's not good. I think he found something, found something.

Speaker 1 (01:15:35):
Because you know, Silver Surfer leads them to Galactus. He says,
you know I's deeper. Then I can even go planet
if you've traded me your son. Obviously reading Sue don't
want that because they don't trust it. But Galactus sees that,
you know, Franklin is destined for greatness and can fill
up his vacancy if he was to retire essentially as

(01:15:58):
a Galactus.

Speaker 2 (01:15:59):
This scene where she leads them to so leads them
to Galactus, and his eyes lighted up and then like
the I guess, the shade around him just falls back.

Speaker 1 (01:16:08):
He comes from focus.

Speaker 2 (01:16:09):
You realize, oh my gosh, this is just like a
big person. This is galactic.

Speaker 1 (01:16:15):
It's what we thought, It's what Wes thought Snoke was,
and Force awakens. Then it turned out just to be
like just a tall guy.

Speaker 2 (01:16:22):
Even I can't remember if Airs from the Judge ever
looked that big in internals.

Speaker 1 (01:16:26):
He did in the very end, at the very end, yeah,
very end.

Speaker 2 (01:16:30):
Yeah, But I felt like, even though he loaned over
the whole world, I've never seen Galactus realize like this
on screen. It was amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:16:38):
I thought it was cool and I think it is
very just different interpretations. I know we kind of talked
about I don't know what season of what if it
was where we had the I think it was Ultron
did the sort of Galactus big head thing, which is
like a big Galactus movie. So different comic interpretation, which
is cool but really dope and like very intimidating of like, hey,

(01:17:00):
I love Glactus. Isn't a cloud? You know, like it's
just really nice.

Speaker 2 (01:17:05):
I remember that. I think that same year right after that,
you have To came out in Paralyx was a crowd too.
It was everything was clouds back then.

Speaker 1 (01:17:11):
Yeah, like we can't animate people, but cloud is okay,
but essentially read sou and everybody. They kind of just
throw up a blinder to get back to the ship.
Herbie also got to talk about Herbie Killed It. Matthew
Wood was the voice of Herbie, who famously he voices
all the battle droids from any of the Star Wars projects.

(01:17:32):
And really, if you hear something, well, Frank sounds exactly like,
oh no, like it's the same voice killed it. Yeah,
Herbie was definitely a character you're worried about two degrees
same thing. With Crypto of like, oh, they're going to
do too much just to sell products, and they didn't.
And guess what everyone bought the damn popcorn bucket. It's
a cool popcorn bucket for eighty bucks. And I thought

(01:17:56):
they just had good purposes for having Herbie with them,
of just like being an assistant and kind of being
the fifth Fantastic four member even though I can't really talk, uh,
can only do work. It's yeah, it was Aaron Gle says.
When you see Glactis like dor mama, who that's is
just a nightmare cloud. That's all he is. Until next

(01:18:16):
time we'll find out doctor Shran's three. But they do
escape and his very akin to Star Wars and Estellar.
They do, you know, Jennison into their little pod machine
to go fast in the light, but the Silver Server
chases after them. She's surfing over lava, she's surfing over
space things, you know, yeah, really really cool. Yeah, and

(01:18:37):
it's cool to see that happening and not just this
flat plane she has to be on the entire time.
Eventually they think they've escaped her, but she does kind
of do like it was kind of like, oh, they
almost had her where Silver server portal or transforms into
their ship. I don't know what you would say, she
sped up. She gets in their ship, almost grabs the

(01:18:59):
baby who's going into the labor while they're escaping. It
is you know, read having to hold her down so
she can give physical birth. Oddly enough, who does give
birth to a son? Franklin. First thing Franklin sees is
the thing which if this is the first thing you're
seeing when you're coming up, birth is not what world
is this monster? But they escape kind of doing Star

(01:19:26):
Trek space move and just let's tell a porter or
let's travel around the sun and get us hold. Yeah,
they get back to hearth and immediately you know it
is you know, ohyah, our heroes are bad. That's great,
and oh they have a kid, that's great. Hey did
you beat him? What did he want? The ultimate price?

(01:19:49):
What was that? You're like, oh, they're not going to
tell him. Oh no, they told him it was our kid,
Like what you didn't give him your kid?

Speaker 2 (01:19:54):
For the rest of us, which is I mean that
is I can't remember what it's called. But there's there's
this problem they always have, like the training train track
train switching. It was a train problem you do you
switch the track and save the people on the train,
switch track and kill people on them. One of those
type of things.

Speaker 1 (01:20:10):
And as a parent, I could just tell you, get
my kids. I'm sorry, you get my kids, and I'm
not doing any of this work for God because we're
leaving and you can fed for yourself.

Speaker 2 (01:20:20):
I mean, I wouldn't go that way until the final second, like, well,
we tried.

Speaker 1 (01:20:25):
Well, and that's the thing, like we thought that's what
was gonna happen this entire movie, that they were going
to fail, and then because the end of Thunderbolts, we thought, oh,
they escaped barely. But no, that's not how this movie went.
It's like, oh, okay, now I'm interested where we're going
to go with doomsday. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:20:40):
I think that was a good destension too, because I mean,
you can't have your new Fanta really call it fantastic
for your new heroes being like, oh, we can't save
this world.

Speaker 1 (01:20:46):
Is leaving now. No, they suck, they're not good at
the job. You know, Like that's a second that's a
second movie problem when it gets dark. But essentially, you know,
we goes, we will save you, we will try to
save you, and we go through just them doing rough drafts.
Eventually they come to the idea of, oh, well, let's
move Bikini Bottom from here to there, uh, using the
teleportion teleportation systems across the world. You know, the world's

(01:21:10):
going unity because let's face it, I don't think that
would happen in real life, but you know, world comes
together when a galactic threat's coming to destroy there.

Speaker 2 (01:21:19):
This is definitely enoughing to mention because if I don't know,
some if some rich tech guy came up with an
or we got to build everything so we can talk
to aailing They're like, well, aret to coming to my
country because it's.

Speaker 1 (01:21:30):
Not I don't care.

Speaker 2 (01:21:32):
Sorry, I can't. I can't take my retors. You think
that may happen. But everybody's like, no, let's get to work.

Speaker 1 (01:21:37):
It was pretty cool, let's do it. But they think
everything's gonna go right. They have all the teleportation systems
set up. I also forgot to mention during this time,
you know it is u Ben the thing who's on
the street. He's not hiding, you know, which I really
liked in this movie because and the other one's like
he's ugly. No, that shouldn't work like that. I'm excited

(01:21:57):
eventually to see the thing interact with Korg, you know,
eventually in Avengers, Secret Wars or whatever the hell that's
going to be.

Speaker 2 (01:22:03):
Also, its cool to see him in like in his
sixties comic, like you know, Hatt and trench coping thing.

Speaker 1 (01:22:07):
And it makes sense because the sixties, you know exactly.
But Natasha Leone was not Birdie. She actually was Rachel Rosman,
who's a school teacher and Ben's love interests, so you know,
their world then end, so she might pop back up again.
It's just cool to have because because it is funny
because I watched the first one, the first Fantastic Four movie,

(01:22:29):
like three days ago before we saw this, and it
is Ben's wife sees him as this and immediately just says, Nope,
it's not working on I don't love you, and it's like,
oh okay, but in this it is like you No,
it is Rachel likes him for the person he is,
not how he looks.

Speaker 2 (01:22:45):
And I like also, like it wasn't the first one
second when we met the blonde Lady the.

Speaker 1 (01:22:49):
End of the first one. Yeah, yeah, yeah, no, some
people just have kinks.

Speaker 2 (01:22:54):
In it's solely fine.

Speaker 1 (01:22:54):
Yeah, you likes a rock many. I don't have a
rock man. It makes sense, it will make more sense
when they make it. Go in there with the rest
of the MSU. But as the bridges are about to
be activated, Silver Surfer comes on in and wrack shop.
You're like, oh damn. And you were thought, Oh, they're
gonna do it. They're gonna do it. No, Silver Serfer
messed it all up. Johnny does this stop her from
destroying the last bridge in Times Square? Like we said,

(01:23:16):
he uses that Rosetta stone he developed to talk to her.
As Shalah Ball, we find out she was chosen to
be Galactus's harald Uh in exchange for him sparing her world.
She did have a kid, so there is some form
of husband or something else that could be the male
Silver Surfer, which could be interesting down the line.

Speaker 2 (01:23:35):
I believe that runs where her Norton Red and Shalli.

Speaker 1 (01:23:38):
Ball are married. So just an interesting little maybe to
think about. Like he punishes her the.

Speaker 2 (01:23:45):
Speed that was she wrecked him things was which is cool,
like I thought this was Silver Surfer was like in
right is the Silver Surfer?

Speaker 1 (01:23:52):
Silver Server looks cool and in this one like she's cool,
like she does cool things, which is dope exactly. But
eventually eventually John conn Johnny conventions there, you know, we
work with us to a degree as she flees away.
But eventually Red does come the idea of let's use
Franklin as bait after Sue has convinced the world, you know,
work together and all that stuff as a family, that

(01:24:15):
they plan to lert Galactus office ship and they'll telebort
him to another universe instead. This is where Sue does
negotiate with Moleman Harvey Older, which is Paul Walter Hauser,
to evacuate everyone in New York City so I don't
get destroyed, which is I liked that they explain this
because normal times, even with Superman like, there's gotta be
some people in them abilities that are being destroyed right now.

Speaker 2 (01:24:37):
Even the last one when when that Kaiju was fighting,
the people were like at work, yeah, and he was
doing his best, but it wasn't it was it wasn't
just crystal crystal clean, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (01:24:47):
But essentially they're gonna alun Galacus. There we learned about Subterranea,
which is where everyone evacuates, which is cool, just to
like flesh out the world a little bit more and
how it works. But Galactus does pop up in the
city and he captures Franklin. He potentially destroys Herbie to

(01:25:07):
one degree. We're not so sure, but eventually they do
think they're gonna get him the portal. He plays smart
and it's cool fighting powers. We saw Red stretch a
lot during this. We saw the thing, you know, be
the tank that he is the whole building.

Speaker 2 (01:25:23):
Yeah, he literally took down a New York style city skyscraper.
Like it was crazy to see that, Like, we know
the thing is strong, but to see him does decimate
a building because the gas was holding on to it
was really cool to see.

Speaker 1 (01:25:37):
Yeah, but eventually it does look like, you know, Galactus
is gonna get away. Sue uses her telekinesis invisible powers,
like keV said earlier in the review of the stop
Galactus to push him towards the portal, but it is
Shalabal coming in the last minute save to push Galactus
immediately in there they save Franklin. Sue does die like

(01:26:00):
into the first Avengers movie, but is revived by Franklin
just a little glimpse of his powers to be the
near future of the MCU. The world celebrates their victories
and that's the end the Fantastic Four.

Speaker 2 (01:26:13):
Yeah, Franklin Richards is a powerhouse when it comes to
mutants because frank technically he is a mutant. He was
born with his powers and he manifested a certain point.
But he can basically do any He is a writer's
dream because if you need, if you need a power
to be done, we'll do it. He can do anything.

Speaker 1 (01:26:33):
And then we're gonna go backwards order the post The
final scene, the post credits scene was just a fun
scene of just the Fantastic Four cartoon playing, just a
little intro and Herbie turning off.

Speaker 2 (01:26:45):
Yeah, if you don't want to stay for that one,
it'll be on YouTube by tomorrow Revenue, so you can
watch it later.

Speaker 1 (01:26:51):
Yes, and Kevin, I have to go do something very
quick just for Teddy. But you can explain the mid
credits scene.

Speaker 2 (01:26:58):
So the mid credits scene, we get out of the
flash forward. It is four years and again four Fantastic four,
four years after the instance of this movie, and we
see Sue reading a book to Franklin, and Franklin, of
course he's four, he could talk now. He wants to
read an another one of his favorite stories. And she
goes to get another book and while she's there, she

(01:27:20):
kind of knows that something changed in the room and
she looks and she sees some she activates her powers
to her visible you know, portal powers, and when she
comes across the corner, we see Franklin touching a man's
face who was in a green hood and we see
the Doom mask. Can we cut to black?

Speaker 1 (01:27:41):
Hell? Yeah, and apparently it was Robert Downey Jr. In
the actual costume. So that's pretty upe.

Speaker 2 (01:27:47):
That was such a big doesn't matter, we got Doom
on screen.

Speaker 1 (01:27:51):
Shut up, he was there. But yeah, and that was
a really cool credit scene. It is interesting just the
pattern we've kind of noticed is the big one is
in the middle, the funny side ones at the end,
sanding with Superman. It's like you can reverse that. It's okay,
could you really really could? But that was our Fantastic

(01:28:12):
four movie. You know. They didn't go into the New
world like we thought with Thunderbolts. But overall really good
and yes, now it's time to add it to our
MCU interview rankings with Fantastic Four, So Kevin, obviously it
won't be the fourth position, but we did really like this.

(01:28:37):
I mean it would, but that's a lot of other
movies got to fight against. So this is technically would
mark this as the fifty second entry. We've added in
our MCU interview rankings, which you could see on letterbox
follow Andrew Hoodie. We couldn't make a show, accounts was
the whole thing. That's fine, But Kevin, I'm going to
start it off our top ten Endgame Infinity War, no

(01:28:58):
Way Home, Civil War, Winter Soldier, Black Panther, Guardians one
for Ragnarrock, Avengers and Guardians three at ten, iron Man
is at twelve, Wakanda Forever at eleven. I'm going to
start the entry here because it is definitely be better
than Captain America Brave New World that this immediately goes
up to nineteen for sure.

Speaker 2 (01:29:18):
Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 1 (01:29:19):
All right, so we're going to make things a little
easier so we'dn't have to read the bottom of the
MCU and review ranking. So, now, Kevin, where would you
like to move Fantastic four it?

Speaker 2 (01:29:32):
So here's the question. Do you think this is the
best thing outside of No Way Home? This is the
best thing post end game.

Speaker 1 (01:29:45):
And we're including the shows.

Speaker 2 (01:29:48):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (01:29:48):
Oh, now, here's the thing. I think I did like
it better than Thunderbolts. I think I liked it better
than se That's the thing. My main headline with this
is you don't need the baggage of the MCU to
enjoy this movie. So that's that's another interesting conundrum there too,
because well, you got Loki, you got Wanda Vision, you

(01:30:09):
got shuan Chi and Dead Poole Woverine. I think that's
your main gripe. Really is it better than Dead Poole
and Movering.

Speaker 2 (01:30:16):
Because even though I've I enjoyed it with Wolverine, I've
only seen it twice and I've never really gone back
to it, because you know, it's it's a lot, it's
it's it's even though it's a comedy, it's a hefty movie.
I could see putting this at thirteen.

Speaker 1 (01:30:30):
So right below Dead Poole and Wovery or right above
Dead Pole Wolverine and below iron Man.

Speaker 2 (01:30:35):
Yep, and I actually could be talked in to discussing
Iron Man and Wacona forever.

Speaker 1 (01:30:41):
Ooh, that's interesting.

Speaker 2 (01:30:46):
I know.

Speaker 1 (01:30:46):
I think we played safe with this one because I
think you saw it twice, so obviously you liked it,
and you liked it both times. But I think what
makes those other movies is those are kind of ending. Oh,
Guardians and Black Panther ending movies, and Iron Man was
a starting movie. So that's that's a whole interesting thing.

(01:31:09):
Now if you had Fantastic Four come out in two
thousand and eight at the same time Iron Man came out, Oh,
that's a whole different conundon, right, yeah, if only right,
if only I'm gonna put it at thirteen. I like
it there, just like this is, like you said, one
of the better movies that come out post Endgame. I

(01:31:32):
think it's debt. It depends what you like. You know,
a lot of those you know, you Got No Way Home,
you Got Devil Wolverine, those are very cameo field movies.
But you know, we like our cameo. We like our
fan service. We are in a fan service industry. It's
okay if it's fan service.

Speaker 2 (01:31:48):
I mean, depol Wolvering is literally just fan service to movie. Yeah,
from Flame on to I'll make a name for myself.
It is fan service to movie.

Speaker 1 (01:31:58):
Yeah, But I mean out of recent just looking at
I think out of since Endgame, you know, we have
Guardians three, Black Panther, Wacona, forever. This at thirteen, then
you have immediate endgame. I'm thinking shunk Chi is up there, Deadpole, Wolverine, Thunderbolts,
then Brave New World, which one need to go lower,

(01:32:19):
and it's okay, multi verse of madness the Marvels just
for the movies, whise you have the TV shows and everything.
Then you got quantum Mania and Love and thunder kind
of there in the in the bottom ranks too. I
think this is justifiable as being in that top top
or tier of Marvel movies. I don't seen once you
think you need to because a lot of it doesn't

(01:32:41):
really it doesn't matter anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:32:43):
So I don't think it's as bad as people say,
but it definitely is kind of a mess of Quantumenia
is kind of the MCU's one one, maybe four, like
there's something in there, but they didn't achieve it at all.

Speaker 1 (01:32:57):
But that's our MCU in review rankings four fantastic four.
But Kevi, we'll probably play that one more time, Kevin.
Next up, let's talk about what's next to the MCU
as we kind of wrap up this podcast. Obviously, have
Isaswa Kanda, which comes out next week as this podcast recording,
which I believe is four episodes. I believe a little
mini series.

Speaker 2 (01:33:18):
Yeah, four or five. I know it's on more than six.

Speaker 1 (01:33:20):
Though, Yeah, so that'll be a fun little weekend watch.
Then you got Marvel Zombies October third, and this is
just what's coming out this year, kind of like the
soft things. Yeah, tentatively still coming October third, twenty twenty five.
Wonder Man is scheduled for December twenty twenty five. I
assume we'll go to trailer for that during d twenty
three or whatever they're gonna do in September. After that,

(01:33:42):
Daredevil Born Again Season two is scheduled for March twenty
twenty six.

Speaker 2 (01:33:45):
As of right now, I was walking at about hours.
It's gonna be nothing until the next live, but.

Speaker 1 (01:33:50):
That could get pushed back, who knows. And then you
have Spider Man Brand New Day, which comes out July
thirty first, so that'll be your flip flip. And then
originally Avengers Day was supposed to come out May twenty
twenty sixth, but got pushed back to December eighteenth. Now
the Avengers movies are taken over December, so that'll be
your next year. So not a lot of big things

(01:34:10):
coming out for the rest of the year, but Daredevil
will kind of kick things off. Then every three months
will have something fun for the MCU. For next year,
they got Vision Quest, which is also scheduled for twenty
twenty six, and then as of right now, the next
big thing after Doomsday is Secret Wars in twenty twenty seven.

Speaker 2 (01:34:28):
Doomsday is definitely h It's going to be a has
a lot to do.

Speaker 1 (01:34:33):
It has a lot to do, a lot to do,
but it'll be interesting, like how the because we thought
it was gonna go one way and now I'm like, well,
maybe they're saving that stuff for Secret Oars and we're
doing more of that build up in Doomsday.

Speaker 2 (01:34:45):
That's at least of my theory. I think that Doctor
Doom needs something or want something from our MCU six
on six universe, and he has leverage over the Fantasy
before because he has he has their child. Now, I
feel like the opening scene in The Avengers is going
to be Doomsday is going to be the Fantastic Four

(01:35:07):
versus the Black Widow led up, well not Black Widow,
I guess will be the Thunderbolts version of The Avengers.
I think that's gonna be the opening scene.

Speaker 1 (01:35:14):
Interesting yeah, I think. I think. Also, Doom's gonna win
in that movie, and that'll set up Secret Wars, I think.
You know, unfortunately, when you do a two parter, that's
kind of how it kind of gonna go. One you
lose and two you win. But I'll be interest to
see how that works because it worked in an Infinity
War an endgame, but will work again, you know, oddly

(01:35:34):
enough almost ten years later.

Speaker 2 (01:35:38):
Definitely see. I do think people are thirsting for Avengers again.
It's been a while to be seeing all.

Speaker 1 (01:35:45):
The adventures hung Chi. Where the hell he been? Like,
show me him? That's one thing.

Speaker 2 (01:35:50):
I'm really excited to see what what what? What is
the response to him in the theater up again? I'm
really excited about that. Yeah, I'm also excited to see
what happened. What Also, how the quote unquote young men
just get in all this because they're still walking around, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:36:03):
I think. And we don't know how what characters are
we know the cast, we don't know how they're popping
up and dooms there, they're popping up in Cigaret Wars
and all that. But Bradley with rocket record, when Rakat
Raccoon shows up, that's gonna be the biggest pop you get.
I'll four in at the end of Avengers Infinity War
of just like hell yeah, because I just think everyone
loves Rocket and I think just hearing that voice, like

(01:36:27):
hell yeah, that's my dude.

Speaker 2 (01:36:30):
Whole thing too. What the success of this movie? If
you look up somebody think abo the Guarians franchise. I
think Shackman's a guy. I think he did a really
good job with a group here, and what the cosmics
up with the space stuff. I'd been like, Okay, well
we kind of found our Guardians person if you want
to take it over man as yours.

Speaker 1 (01:36:45):
Yeah, just go in writing. And then for as far
as a Fantastic Four sequel, probably twenty twenty eight at
the earliest. For that, I wouldn't be surprised that they're
going to do one because it makes sense. But it'll
interest see what they do because they kind of did
all their muster and they're doing all their things now
if Doom and did Silver Surfer and Galactus, so like,
what do they do next? Will be interesting.

Speaker 2 (01:37:07):
I feel like the next one could be because in
the comic books basically read for lack of a better term,
does stuff to Franklin to keep its powers in check because,
like I said, he's a powerhouse.

Speaker 1 (01:37:20):
Yeah, so that's the interesting Do you do that in
Doomsday and Secret Wars and that's part of that or
you save that for your own movie. But i mean,
let's face it, like we didn't know who kill Monger
was for Black Panther. We didn't know any Black Panther
villains really till Black Panther came out and no More
was the thing. No More is an interesting conundrum too
with this family.

Speaker 2 (01:37:39):
Is a very very intricate part to the Fantastic Four
lore because.

Speaker 1 (01:37:43):
Yeah, reads a bit forgetful Sue. Sue needs somebody needs.

Speaker 3 (01:37:49):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:37:50):
So we'll see. But regardless, we are in a good path.
Thanks to any other thoughts, Kevin, before we wrap.

Speaker 2 (01:38:02):
On out of here, I'm just trying to see what's next. Man.
I'm to get back on his Marble train and also
DC train, because both both of these movies, uh, Superman
and Fantastic Four pretty much made the exactly amount the
opening weekend. So interesting to see how where Marvel goes
after this and DC could we basically now have the
Monday Night Wars again.

Speaker 1 (01:38:23):
