Speaker 1 (00:09):
Welcome back to the nerdy news you need to know
throughout the week. On iHeartRadio, I'm bad.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Cat Services around the world because my name's Hoodie and
I'm a wonder Kevin and you're official listen.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
To this wonderful episode what Kevin Crisis on Infinite On.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
I said that because we were talking about Wonder Woman
before we start a recording, and now the Wonder Woman
thinks from the seventies in my head.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
Oh don't worry because we will circle back to that
today and talk about more about wonder Woman Kevin. So
don't you worry.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
Not the game that the games I happen anymore. Unfortunately
that's done. Oh that's right.

Speaker 1 (00:45):
I can take a care. There's a lot of superhero
games that we were hopeful forwarding the Pandemic and then
My Panther one by one, Hey we still got that,
or Marvel nineteen forty three one still got that one.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Still there's hope, and we'll bring like they're like, we
know it's coming.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
It's coming. Wait till Game Awards and that's where you'll
get your trailer. Okay, be patient, it's coming. Please next year.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Oh my god.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
If we get that in GTA next year. I'm set.
That's only two games I need next year.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
That's a good point a year.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
If we get a Jedi game potentially, oh that's that's
my three. That's my three games right there. I'm good
that the last Jedi game a new Wolverine game in
GTA six. Good.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
I don't need to spend one hundred and eight games
next year.

Speaker 1 (01:27):
That's great, love it probably more probably the way games agreed.
I will buy the special edition of Jedi. You know,
mark this date the year of our Lord, January or
January June twelfth, twenty twenty five. If there is a
Lightsaber edition of Star Wars Jedi third Game, I will
buy the damn Lightsaber. I will buy the Lightsaber edition

(01:48):
because they did it. The first one it was the
broken hill. Then the second one was the fixed hilt.
The third one a double hill. Maybe oh double hill
will be a curved hill, a nunchuck nunchuck hilt could be.

Speaker 2 (01:59):
A hilt blasterbody was doing Ezra.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
All right, all right, I like it. I like it,
all right, I'm excited. All right. Next year and he
gets here quick, but we got a jump back show
for you today because we are talking about wonder Woman's uh,
wonder Woman, not three, It's just wonder Woman who should
be playing wonder Woman in the newly announced DCU movie.
We're going to react to the final trailer for Superman
because it is Superman Day as we record this podcast.

(02:23):
Happy super to you and super to you as well. Uh,
Incredibles three, it is happening. What should happen in that
movie and the return of the franchise long in the
making that people forgot about, but it's really been in
the work since Pandemics. People forgot about it.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Ye yeah, yeah, but and the announcement trailer was was brilliant.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
We need to play it, no, because because it's it's
it's really just read this. They made you read for
forty seconds, just text and then they got you. They
got your choice. Uh. But you can see everything were
to talk about today and so much more at Infinite Underscore,
bod Z only, Instagram or reacts Going Good with You
or Kevin Work can interact with us live when we
record the podcast, or maybe later at Throwing Leisure, maybe

(03:06):
years later down the line if they want to. Sometimes
you go to.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
YouTube dot com slash if it Underscore pods to watch
us on demand, Like you said, you can watch years
and years of crisis career episodes. As a matter of fact,
there's a few on there when we're in the studio together
in the in the great time, we work actually worked together,
and it's.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Amazing Internet, and we use the device that was like this,
this isn't it. This isn't where the Internet's gone. We tried,
we tried.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
Uh, people don't use that device and that's still that device.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Device probably thrown away, Kevin. I don't know what happened
to that device. People like, throw it away, doesn't matter.
And proof of that also, uh, Twitch dot tv or
YouTube dot com slash infront of score pods is we
keep getting comments on This is a longest dating. One
of our shorts we did on YouTube when we had
time to do shorts was the song from Rugrats in Paris,

(03:58):
the Chucky Mom dance Aways gets comments and I realized
today came full circle. That was my brother's dance with
my mom at his wedding, And I'm like, I will
say that I didn't say this on Monday when recap
the Best Man. I cried during that I was like,
there are about two people right here and then dances
and the happy and I'm thinking of Chucky Finster at

(04:18):
the same time. It's too much people. All parts of
my heart affected, my TV hearts. That's my family heart.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
That's two of your four chambers right there.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
There you go, and I'm saying, and one of them weakened, so.

Speaker 2 (04:32):
You're true. But your chambers are of course your mom,
of course your wife, John, you're dead. Four chambers.

Speaker 1 (04:38):
And Teddy's in there too. Teddy's gotta fit in there too,
ted ted the soul. Okay, oh there you go. There,
there's a whole.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Different thing with Teddy. You can also watch this laugh
twice a week on twits dot tv shipped on the
score pots and see us ramble about random souls and hearts.

Speaker 1 (04:53):
It's great and sometimes Kingdom Hearts. That's also, yes, man,
I'm trying.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
I did shows back in the day in between kingdomark Games,
which is crazy, what a time.

Speaker 1 (05:05):
It's still we're still in between Kingdom Mart's Games, Kingdom Hearts.
We're waiting for it. But we always started the podcast
properly something we like to call what You're Doing, where
we talk about the shows and movies. We've been watching games,
we've been playing lives we've been living because it is Thursday. Yep, boy,
it gets to go first. And I am well underway

(05:26):
in Dragon Ball Super. I have now finished the Golden
Freezer saga. Uh and I'm excited to start. Really that's
the sort of the like the multiverse type stuff for
dragon Ball, and I think they did it very well.
I know I'm usually the dragon Ball Super but I
finally can watch it on Hulu. Is they teased all

(05:48):
this multiverse stuff for the first two arcs of Dragon
Ball Super, just like here's the thing, here's the thing.
Oh like, oh yeah, they're doing multiverse that way, you're
prepared like it's in twenty twenty five. Still relevant, baby.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
It's funny At this point, I don't know because I
don't follow a lot of animes. Just intimidated to me,
Like what I wanted to watching Gundam, but like there
are a million Gunham series.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Got to pick one start and that's that's your through line, Kevin.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
But with dragon with dragon Ball Super now, so at
this point on TikTok, there are so many like fan
made lip SyncE videos to dragon Ball I don't know
what's real.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
And with Lincoln Park, most of the time too, but
like there's some.

Speaker 2 (06:23):
Video there's just like you know, random people doing voiceovers
of what was already spoken. So I'm like, this is
the real one or just a fake one.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
I don't know what they do. They do a good
Goku impression. But that's been fun. And I am finally
getting my copy of Dragon Ball Sparking zero back from
mister Eric V. He's forgotten the past two days, so
hopefully I'll get it tomorrow so that way I can
update it on PS five and actually start it and
get through I guess half the game, because half the

(06:50):
game is dragon Ball z story and the other half
is super obviously ten bucks.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
He forgets it and they just bought a digital copy tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
I mean, at this point, he buy me the DC
bro at least by me. She's the past. But besides that,
watching wise more and I have been. We started Adults
on FX and if you like broad City on Comedy Central,
it is that in twenty twenty five. Essentially, it is
obviously to a degree because it is a group of

(07:18):
friends versus two female friends. But I think it's it's
got the goods.

Speaker 2 (07:22):
I think I started watching the first one and I
was enjoying it, but then I realized leaves and the
rooms had to turn it off so I couldn't finish
a whole for a.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Seik And the first one is rougher. I think the
second one is what really gets you. Your your kids
cannot watch the second one. I'll tell you. I got
to tell you that the.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
First one, when he went to the bank, it was like,
I don't.

Speaker 1 (07:41):
Know, I don't know. I gotta call my mom, Like
that's real. More does not know where those security numbers.

Speaker 2 (07:46):
So I remember when I was a kid, not a kid,
but I was in my twenties. I got identity THEFTY
like my so I got into my couch with my money.
I don't know what dues. I didn't have money for
like a month, but they have, like the bank.

Speaker 1 (07:57):
I'll figure it out what they gonna do. I'm good.
I'm scared they're gonna yell at me. And that is true.
To go with that, we've also we caught up on
Tire season one. We just started Tire Season two on
Netflix was The Shane Gillis Show, and season two is
way better in season one. I think, like like I
predicted it figured out it's stuff and it saw us

(08:20):
and it's been killing it. Like the past episode, very funny,
very funny.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Yeah. I tried season one. It was kind of cringey
for me. I couldn't. I couldn't.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
It is it is guy humor. But season two, I
think is a little more less on that, which is
why it's funnier, because it's not like super like bro
Douce humor.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
You know. It was almost as cringey as to me
as the Blockbuster series.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
With the Lady from Brook never even started it. I
was like, no, good it was.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
It was so it tried so hard to be funny,
it just wasn't. It was like an uncomfortable conversation.

Speaker 1 (08:49):
Huh. But yeah, that's what I've been doing. Kevin good sirt,
what have you been doing this past couple of days?

Speaker 2 (08:57):
We started Blackish this week.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
I don't know why they got it. It's a good
length of a bin show, you know, you got like
maybe two hundred episodes or something of that, But.

Speaker 2 (09:06):
I forgot that. I'm more in line with Anthony Andrew's
character on that show now because I'm.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
Oh yeah, especially nowadays compared to when you watched it originally.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Yeah, so now I'm getting emotional with it now and
I don't like it.

Speaker 1 (09:19):
Oh, especially like in those middle season episodes, you're like,
oh no, this is too much right now.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
So that's what There's a one arc, I think a
season four end of it where him and Bo almost
get divorced and what brings them back is unfortunately Bo's
dad passed away. I'm watching that part yesterday and that
part happens, and I feel time of the work. I
turned it off, that left the house and up to
work and I can't take this. No, I can't take
this head.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
That's the one. It's that is that the how did
we get here?

Speaker 2 (09:47):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Yeah, because that's on TikTok all the time, and it's
like fixed es playing in the background, like God, we
can never get to this point more never.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
And then I'm watching them one get today in this
episode about Diane, I'll just I'll just say growing up.
I'm like, come on, this is not fair. I just
like where I'm at right now in life. But so
I think I'm gonna take a break from Blackish. They
go back to Rick and Morty for a while.

Speaker 1 (10:10):
It's a balance. Are you gonna did you ever watch
Grownish and then the other one? Or no?

Speaker 2 (10:16):
This is a little bit of Grownish, but I couldn't
connect out everye to college. I'm not really too familiar
with college life. And I watched a little bit of
Mixed Dish, but just it wasn't as entertaining.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
Yeah, I think Grownish also was very It was on
free form. It was very as a free form show,
and like, no one watches free form shows like that anymore.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
I kind of wish because they had a pilot called Oldish.
It was gonna be Laurence Fishburn and Jennifer Lawrence. Like
that show would have been hilarious. But I don't know.
Laurence Fishburn works a lot. He's in a lot of movies.

Speaker 1 (10:47):
He's in a lot of movies. I think it's because
of Blackish. He's in more movies now too.

Speaker 2 (10:51):
It's funny because at the point in Blackish where he's
just not there, and then you look at the time
and I was like, oh, he was doing John Wick
and a bunch of other stuff, like.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
Oh, and that's when he's filming The Matrix, remember the
Matrix movie. So he might not have been in the
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
So I watching that, but I think we want to
stop watching that and go back to my surreal animated shows,
because I just can't think. I did come across the
King of the Hill trailer recently, and I'm thinking about
I never really got into King of the Hill. It
was just a show. I watched that some seasons that
was just on while I was doing the rest of
my work. I really got into it, you know, I'm thinking,
maybe gett into King of the Hill. I don't know,
have you have you ever watched that?

Speaker 1 (11:24):
I think I watched a couple during Adult Swim when
they're like, we're here to watch Family Guy and Robot
Chicken and like final deal with King of the Hill.
But yeah, the reboot's happening. And then also, uh, I
don't know the character. Uh, the dad is a playable
character in Fortnite now. So that's very kiss man of you, Kevin,
to start on your King of the Hill.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
It's I never knew that Brittany Murphy was Luanne on
that show, so I didn't know that that she was
when they were doing like a memorialm thing who died
doing the lands was, Oh, Brittany Murphy. I never knew
that because she passed away. Unfortunately, then they got a
Dale Gribble passed away, and of course the Death of
the got the forts of John Redcorn from Parks of Regorys.
So there's been a lot of movement on the cast,

(12:08):
and I think all there, I think besides Dale and
Britty Murphy's characters, the other guy got all his lines
in before before the tragedy happened. But I was thinking
about watching him because you usually with those animated surreal shows,
you don't actually show like continuity. Keen Hill does though,
because that Bobby's old. I kind of want to see what, Yeah,
that's like.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
I think usually when they when those shows do get
like a sequel show, that is when they're more continuity
to involve like that whole season is like Malcolm in
the Middle reboot that's happening. It's gonna be very like
we're growing up, you do this, and it's not just
random moments in time. It is a through line the
whole time exactly.

Speaker 2 (12:44):
So I think I'll get into that and then playing wise,
I haven't playing, I think besides Madden, because I just
my brain to shut down sometimes. I just played Madden.
I did read download on the Batman Arkham series, so
that may.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
Be on the Horizon, Kevin saying, play a new game.
A new game to you, Kevin.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
I've been thinking about what we were talking about this
the other off the line the other day. Actually, I
was thinking about emailing the studio that created a new
recent recently called Mind's Eye is made by some GTA creer.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
Now it's not the time, no watching.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
The watching the reviews of it. I think I'll just
wait for those twenty dollars now, justin Yeah, nobody likes.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
It, and that's the thing. Hey, we've talked about games
with horrible launches, like even back to Assassin's Creed Unity
ten years ago, now Cyberpunk twenty seventy seven. But look,
Cyberpunk turned it around. So Mindsight has a potential turnaround,
but it's got to get there.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
Just watching the gameplay and like the end game capture,
like this looks kind of cool. Well, it can't be
that bad, can't it. But apparently everyone likes it. So
I'm like, there's no way this game could be that bad.
So it could they wait until what's the next holiday,
but that's for July. I don't know, Labor Day.

Speaker 1 (13:50):
Maybe it'll be a Labor Day Labor Day sale, Okay,
psen sale and I'll get it.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
That's up to me. Man.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Well, let's get on it. Note because we are jam
packed today, it is time for the news. No news,
and first things first, it's been a franchise experience one works.
It's been a lot of weeks. She looked at this
franchise because in twenty twenty seven, forty years after the

(14:21):
first one. Yeah, yeah, because thirty eight years and two
years ago, uh, space Balls two will officially be happening.
The shorts awakens the tagline now, but it should be
the quest for more money, because that's what was called
at the end. The baseball's won. So it was you're right, So, Kevin,

(14:43):
what happened? How do we find this out today?

Speaker 2 (14:46):
We found out today it was an announcement. I think
it was on Amazon's MGM YouTube page, I believe. And
we got an announcement through a traditional Star Wars opening
opening crawl. I'm actually pulling it right now because I
want to read it to you.

Speaker 1 (15:00):
Okay, so we're gonna be waiting here a little bit.
I see, well, loo as I don't get a Adam Good.
I didn't get an ad Awesome there.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
Thirty eight years ago, there was only one Star Wars trilogy,
but since then there have been a prequel trilogy, a
sequel trilogy, sequel to the prequel, a prequel to the sequel,
countless TV spinoffs, a movie spinoff, and of the TV spinoff,
which is both a prequel and not a sequel, not
to mention, two Dunes, seven Jurassic Parks, two avatars plus

(15:28):
three upcoming avatars, making five avatars. Thirty six MCU movies
with two different Robert Downey juniors DCU A Tip Number one,
D See You A Tip Number two Animated Lion King,
a live action animated Lion King, A live action animated
Lion King prequel. Eight Harry Potter movies, a TV series
remaking the same eight Harry Potter movies, a whole streaming
service to a Star Trek. Seven alien movies, two of

(15:50):
which were also Presator movies, not to be mistaken. Of
the six Predator movies that are are not alien movies,
one Prometheus, which is a COmON alien movie, four videos
of movies, and an Oppenheimer. But in thirty eight years,
there's only ever been one.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Baseball until now until now so and then and then
we see mel Brooks pop up the end after forty years.
We asked, what do the fans want, and he said,
but instead, we're making this movie. May the Shwarts be
with you? Adding is really dope. Obviously, this has kind
of been in development since the pandemic. We do know
that Josh green Bomb will be directing. You know, Josh

(16:25):
gadd will be in the cast, probably executive producing as well.
And we know that Bill Pullman will replay reprise his
role as Lone Star and Dark Helmet himself. Rick Moranis
will be coming back as well, and this will make
Rick Moranis's first repeat reappearance in over twenty six years,
really since like a Honey I Shrunk the Kids movie,

(16:47):
because remember he was supposed to do a Honey Shrunk
the Kids Disney Plus original movie and that was in
purgatory hell, So this is the first one.

Speaker 2 (16:56):
Yeah, he stopped acting in the mid nineties when his
wife passed away to care of us kids. It's a
very noble thing, just like, okay, fame, I'm done. I'm
here in my family now. That's really cool. But this
is exciting for me. Spaceball's I think was like one
of the first like adult comedies I saw as a
kid m and since I had already been a Star
Wars fan as a kid, I kind of got it instantly,

(17:17):
the whole joke about it. So I'm really excited to
see what they do in a twenty twenty seven landscape.

Speaker 1 (17:22):
Yeah, and like for me, it was kind of the
same thing obviously, like grew up with Star Wars and iconically.
I remember we went to my mom's cousin's wedding because
we were like ushers or something in California, and they
had Spaceballs I think, on VHS and we thought it
was Star Wars because of the font and we're like,
I'll put that in and it was not what we want.

(17:45):
And you know what, I kind of think it's great.
I will say, Kiki Palmer is also going to be
on the cast. I just forgot. I forgot that line
because it was another paragraph. But Maura did actually watch
Spaseball for the first time like two months ago, so
I told her, I have prime you for twenty twenty seven.
You are ready to go pizza, the Hut, the Schwartz, everything.

(18:05):
But I think this is great. I do think was
it History of the World, History of the World Part two,
the remake with the old one Part two, the remake
was on I think it was on Hulu twenty twenty three.
That was more of like a show. This will obviously
be a movie and it's gonna be in theaters, which
was great. Hiss the World Part two was okay, it
very was We've had very iterations of drunk history and

(18:28):
stuff like this already, so that's what it felt like. Yeah,
now this, you know, really is Nintendo Miga excide he
got re said Rick Morana's coming back. Yes, it's keky
pomagummy in It's say, let's he's going He's going for
this by take it down now. Yeah. But I think
the cool thing with this is this movie coming out
in twenty twenty seven, and we know a Scary the

(18:50):
Scary Movie franchise is getting rebooted, I think potentially supposed
to come out next year. Like parody movies are back,
you know, like for the longest time, they kind of
fizzled out after Date Movie and Epic Movie and all that,
and now the bag.

Speaker 2 (19:02):
Baby, We'll get Naked Gun this.

Speaker 1 (19:04):
Oh yeah, naked gun too. You're right, So like perfect
timing and I think based if Josh Gadd attached obviously
can be a comedy. It'll be interested to see what
they make fun of. I mean with the title krawl
already they already made fun of how many damn sequels
and prequels we've had. But how do you do that
now in twenty twenty five, Because in the eighties is
really easy because it was like movies and that was it.

(19:25):
But now we have internet, video games and all this
other stuff.

Speaker 2 (19:28):
Yeah, it's funny. I always say, if you want to
get familiar with mel Brooks's brand of comedy, there's four
movies I would recommend. The four are Blazon Saddles, Young Frankenstein, Spaceballs,
and Robino Mannon Tits. One of those can manitymore Bason
Saddles will never be made again. That movie is a
product of his time, and I wouldn't I don't say
don't watch it, but if you want to watch it,

(19:50):
thicking up your skin a little bit because it can
go can get pretty blue, you know. The part of
the funniest thing in the movie is the farting singing
around the fire. But a lot a lot of his movies,
mel Grifton mel Brooks like to make fun of the
genre and also the Hollywood behind the genre. I remember exactly,
there's this opening scene where're brunning down the village and

(20:11):
because how time time in one of these movies, somebody
got to burn down the village's like, I know why
because they're in a Robin Hood movie. And then and
leave us alone Mail Brooks and shoving at the screen
so like they're very looney tunish like that. Yeah, if
you can, if you can accept that, you can have
a great time in the movies. And I think the
cool thing is too mel Brooks is gonna be in it.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
And I don't know, I don't know if well acsule
me read it right now how old he is, because
I'm not sure if the article is saying he will
be ninety eight. He's ninety eight now, So if this
movie comes out, this man will be one hundred years old.
And I just want to see. I know we got
Dick Van Dyke, but I want mel Brooks to make
it to the premiere of this movie in LA.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
I hope we get the like in the movie.

Speaker 1 (20:51):
That'd be amazing, Like let's get the oldies into this movie,
and you know what, the youngies us will go see
it exactly, But this is exciting faceballs.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
I remember watching Spaceballs at least once or twice a
month when I was. I can see my living room
TV right now as a kid from me putting in
tap in the DCR and hitting rewind and making sure
I saw from the beginning, because all the jokes from
the beginning of Like one of my favorite jokes in
Spaceballs is when they try to chase a Lone Star
and he goes, we're gonna go faster, can go faster,

(21:24):
and he no, we can't, and then he goes with
strong Colonel Sanders Chicken Like.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
That's like I think they need. I don't know how
casty and everything we got, Kiki Popman, Josh gad Lewis
Paulman needs to make a cameo just like he's Lone
Star's kid. And you know, we've a lot of actors
unfortunately have passed away since that movie came out. John
Canny infamously and damn it uh who is the.

Speaker 2 (21:53):
Who?

Speaker 1 (21:54):
Uh? Joan Rivers, John Rivers and John Hurt too and
have passed away, so were to see how those roles
are fulfilled. But I do think there'll be a fun time.

Speaker 2 (22:05):
Definitely be a fun time in the relast. I want
if it's gonna be a streaming movie because, like I said,
it's on Amazon's YouTube page. I want if it actually
be released in I.

Speaker 1 (22:13):
Think I think you're limited release it. I think that's
a good idea, just to see, like it is forty
years but like Spaceball is kind of one of the
things that paved the way for like nerdy culture two
degree of like outside of the franchise, I.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
Feel like Spaceballs can take advantage of the malaise Star
Wars fan base. We're still win but a lot of
people aren't.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Like, you know, Spaceball's in March, you got Star Wars
in April. You know, read or do whatever exciting times
that will be in twenty twenty seven, but potentially probably
not in twenty twenty seven because it just got announced.
Kevin Incredibles three is officially happening, and it won't be

(22:58):
directed by Brad Bird, but will be directed by Elementals
Peter Son.

Speaker 2 (23:03):
This is interesting because this is incredible. It's kind of
Brad Bird's baby. So I wonder if he said no,
or if he just said they just don't want them
to do it, which is very interesting to me. Like
Brad Bird is incredible, is Brad Bird is incredible, you
know what I mean, like like all like he does
the voice of uh Mod brad Bird. So I wonder

(23:25):
what came this decision to say Disney incredible tweet. Yes
brad Bird, No, it's very interesting.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
So he does have a movie called ray Gun coming out.
I don't know what that is exactly. I think it
is a Pixar movie. I believe it's an anime movie
at least Here You Go Away. But I do think
that's probably what's interfering with this because in the article
by a g end, brad Bird will be producing and

(23:54):
writing the screenplay for the movie, so like it's still
getting that bread and I'm assuming he'll do the voice.
I think it's very akin to like Lelo and Stitch,
where the voice of Stitch was the original director for
Leelo and Stitch and he didn't direct the second one.
So it's probably the same thing, like you're gonna voice
add none anything, we need you for it, You're good.
But Peterson infamously he did The Good Dinosaur, which I've

(24:15):
never seen. It's like the one Pixar movie you haven't seen.
I mean, but now I hear now at times it's like,
well it's one of the better ones. Actually, you should
give it a try. Uh Elemental, I never saw either,
but I heard a lot of people thought that was
good too.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
That's what made me cry a little bit in the theater.
I'm not gonna lie. It's a very I would definitely
recommend a date night in movie for you more. It
could be Elemental. I think you guys would enjoy it.

Speaker 1 (24:38):
Actually, well, we gotta watch Lower the Rings. We gotta
get through that before we watch any other new movies.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
On tomorrow. But one day.

Speaker 1 (24:46):
That's true. Son. Also, in case he didn't realize, he
does voice characters in his movies. He voiced a Meal
and Ratituey Uh Squishy and Monsters University, and infamously he
was Socks, the robot cat in the light Year movie.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
Ah, Socks won the Brice pots of that movie because
it wasn't many minutes.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
And then there's no date on date on the movie.
So I'm assuming. I mean, we just got a director
and the cast is the cast probably twenty eight maybe
at the earliest for an Incredibles three to happen.

Speaker 2 (25:17):
Oh yeah, And I'm hoping they finally tak my advice
with this franchise. Incredibles three should be about the children
of Dash and Violet.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
So you're saying everyone's grown up and we're moving we're
moving them up a little bit to a degree.

Speaker 2 (25:30):
Exactly, and I think should be movie should be about,
oh my gosh, my kids have powers. What do I do?
And then here comes dad, granddad, like, aha, my legacy
has powered Jack.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
Jack is a grown ass adult now, you know. Yeah,
I think that'd be cool. I mean Incredibles Too, for
the most part, there was a little bit of a
time jump, I think, but it kind of immediately took
place after the first one, which it had to this one.
I remember how Incredible is Too really ended?

Speaker 2 (26:00):
So it was the boat. They were on the boat.

Speaker 1 (26:04):
Yeah, I know that, but I'm like, how did it
end end? But anyway, I think set it up that
we are in a re dawning of superheroes again, because
that's kind of what you did set up, but actually
have it happen where you know, we are in an
era of now of superheroes everywhere. So maybe that is
something Pixar does and c takes its own thing of
the superhero things everywhere, and that maybe it is tapping

(26:28):
into the boys a little bit of like superheroes are
becoming more a celebrities and actually helping.

Speaker 2 (26:34):
Yeah, that'd be interesting too, kind of yeah, and a
whole Well, actually you're right there hitting that because the
guy was making a company to basically market supers. So
maybe they dove fully into that in the next one,
more more fully of that in the next one. Man.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
You remember infamously when we saw Incredibles To in LA
and it was us and a bunch of kids and
then that one Caesar scene happened. Well, that was a
lot on the eyeballs right there.

Speaker 2 (26:57):
Yeah. I remember lying to my wife because people see
it together, said, what are you going to want to
you want to see?

Speaker 1 (27:01):
We never saw that. I don't know what you're talking about. Yeah, nothing,
We're just.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
Going to see what's there and see what happens. You know,
we're in LA movies, Incredibles Too.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
What was the short for that? Was that the Bow?
It was, Yeah, it was about man and that was
like the last big short I remember seeing from Pixar
was the Bow one. That was sad too anytime I
look about Bow. But why But yeah, I think you're

(27:30):
dead on the money. I think you need to get that.
I mean the cast is older, like the entire cast
is older now, so like you need to get everyone old.
I mean, mister Incredible and missus Incredible, both their actors,
they're elderly now. And I'll say it, and you know
the voice of Violet, she's like middle aged. They I

(27:50):
think that. I remember they did recast Dash and then
Jack Jack, so like they got to recast everybody, and
I think that will be good because then you get
the adults to see it and like, all right, this
is us now, Like Dash and Violet, we're us when
we watch the movie the first time in one and
now the third one, they're our age just like Andy,
gotta grow them up eventually.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
I've got you about Jack Jack too, So like how
far if.

Speaker 1 (28:12):
You Jack, Jack will be in college or something, you know,
or like high school or something like that.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
Because because Vola is definitely like twelve, Dash is like
eight or nine, So they told to be a war
where you know she's married now.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
No, Violet's like fourteen, remember, because she's Yeah, so.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
They could be a war where were Vida's married out
of the house, yeah, powers, And then here comes to
the proud uncles and the proud granddad and She's like, no,
I don't want this.

Speaker 1 (28:36):
Yeah, Like, and it's all about like, oh, the grandkids
being born and stuff like that, and how powers work,
how if you if you hook up with a normal person,
what happens. Just essentially it's dragon Ball. Actually it's dragon Ball,
but it's Superhero for him. If you haven't half saying.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
It would also be fun to see kind of like
because Incredibles takes place like in the Fox sixties fifties,
but they have to technology like internet and video phones.
So it' if they do jump forward in time, how
does that world jump forward in time as well? Because
they're already kind of forded, you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (29:05):
The eighties it's Detroit. Oh god, what happened? What went wrong?
But we got we got a while for that. That's
probably twenty twenty eight, like I said at the earliest,
but also something that is on the horizon, but might
actually happened before Incredibles three happens because it's live action.
It is what it is. Is. We know a Wonder

(29:28):
Woman movie is officially in development. Kevin, Oh, the.

Speaker 2 (29:33):
World is waiting for you. I'm sorry, I'm still saying
the song from the seventies The only reason I know
of that show because I'm old enough. I hate to
say this like this, but I'm old enough. Remember when
FX launched as a network and all they showed what
was seventies TV, so and I remember three four and
five o'clock was Green Hornet, Wonder Woman, and Batman from
the sixties.

Speaker 1 (29:53):
And nowadays they just released the whole season on Hulu
and then weekly on FXT, like you just go watch
on Hulu and don't want to.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
Kind of a funny dexad part is now all those
DC shows now. I think in a few years it
will be a much time it passed between the c
W shows at sixty shows to some kids, just it's
sad to think about hard.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
And it was fun because Superman date c W posted
the last like two minutes of Superman Lowis and like, oh.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
Man, that was so emotional.

Speaker 1 (30:21):
Never I didn't finish the season or the series, but
I watched those ten minutes every time and cry.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
Watched the first season because the one son that half
powers was annoying and I needed him.

Speaker 1 (30:32):
And they recast him cast the other one.

Speaker 2 (30:35):
Get because he died and he didn't dive something. But yeah,
one a woman's coming yeah.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
So back to that, we went on a tangent there.
That's okay. James Gunn did confirm earlier this week, just
because you know, they're doing all the press and sort
of the fun press interviews for Superman because it comes
out in like three or a month, actually less than
a month now, says that Wonder Woman is officially being
written now that the Wonder Woman movie is being developed

(31:02):
separately to the already announced Paradise Loss HBO Max series,
which I think that's gonna happen because they got to
get it together over there, because Paradise Loss seems like
maybe you do that after a woman Wonder Woman, But
outside of that, that's really all we know, and it
is really a blank book. I don't think it will
be Galgudol. I think they're done with her tenure as

(31:23):
Wonder Woman, so we're gonna entirely new wonder Woman, which
is pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (31:28):
My question before we get into this, did you buy
any tickets for Artic screening and Superman?

Speaker 1 (31:32):
I did not because I don't know when Scar screening,
and so I'm gonna wait, so.

Speaker 2 (31:36):
Yeah, I'm just cause I had it up.

Speaker 1 (31:38):
I was like, wait, I will say the popcorn buckets
for Superman a little disappointed compared to that Galactus eighty
five dollars, big ass head one.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
So yeah, it's just him.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
The crypto one is like, all right, cool, but I
got a dog and he's gonna freak out of it
every time. What is that?

Speaker 2 (31:55):
What is he doing here? Like?

Speaker 1 (31:58):
Your dog might be like, brother? Is that my brother?

Speaker 2 (32:03):
But this is cool. If you're going to do a
DC universe, you need three people. If you're going to
do it, I don't care. There's there's differ different different iterations,
but you need three people going to do the universe.
You need wonder Woman, Superman, and Batman. Yes, it's just
a must.

Speaker 1 (32:16):
And we already we already know David corn Sweats are Superman,
and we're still figuring out Batman DCU and with the Batman,
and that will still just be a thing until the
end of time.

Speaker 2 (32:28):
I still think there will be a Batman reference in
the end credit scene.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
I think there has to be just to be like, hey,
you already said you're doing Wonder Woman's dreamcasts, and that
now give us a shadow of a bat as we
can dreamcast that now.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
We're not going to see who it is. This is
going to be like, Oh, that's that's the guy that's.

Speaker 1 (32:42):
Going to be we want Beefy Batman, damnit I want,
I want?

Speaker 2 (32:48):
I want a social boy.

Speaker 1 (32:50):
Okay, oh okay, I thought you meant the rapper Soldier.
I was like, that's a choice. Choice who you want,
Jensen Apples, That's.

Speaker 2 (33:01):
What I want. I'd be great.

Speaker 1 (33:02):
It's like.

Speaker 2 (33:05):
When it comes to Wonder Woman, though, I feel like
whatever they do, they both have a high and a
low bar to clear because the first one a woman,
it's really really good. It's a really really good, strong movie.

Speaker 1 (33:17):
And a very timeless movie to a degree, you know,
the endings whatever. But like I iconic, the damn Riff,
the damn walking out of No Man's Land in World
War One, iconic, the sidekicks, she just like goes low
and battle sweet kicks. She's like hell yeah. The second
one no.

Speaker 2 (33:37):
And the second one, I feel like they were just like,
we need a movie out. Everybody's home. Just put it out.
It's not ready. I don't care put it.

Speaker 1 (33:44):
And the second one, remember like it came out on
it was Christmas Day. It came out on streaming and
I watched I think it was like two weeks ago
when I was at a hotel it came on and
I was like, I'm just gonna watch this. I'm like,
that's right, cheat, it was in this this is like
Pedro Pascal and like Pedro was pre Mando or it

(34:05):
was like Ryanlyight's of Mando and everything. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
I remember watching that movie and text me it was like,
did you watch Wonder Woman? You were like yeah, like what, yeah,
like we're trying to be that nice but not be
nice at all, like it was there.

Speaker 1 (34:19):
Yeah, you're right. It does have a low and a high.
And then obviously there's the TV show. And there was
another movie too, like back in the day.

Speaker 2 (34:26):
I remember that was an animated movie in two thousand
and like eight or nine. That was pretty good.

Speaker 1 (34:31):
Yeah, animated movie. Yeah, but but Diana Prince own Justice League,
this animated universe is still my people.

Speaker 2 (34:37):
In the Wonder Woman, she was just like, yeah, dude,
I'm throwing hands. I don't care what you say. We're
throwing hands. I'm gonna kill him. Problem.

Speaker 1 (34:45):
Uh yeah. But I think if we're gonna recast Wonder Woman,
I do think it has to be someone on the
younger end, just because if David Court I mean, David
corn Sweat's probably what thirty two.

Speaker 2 (34:56):
I think it's like thirty on the die korin swe
it's thirty one.

Speaker 1 (35:00):
You probably want someone around similar age, just because if
they are gonna be two out of your three figureheads,
they're around for you know, we'll just say ten years
of this DCU iteration. Batman can be a little older,
that's fine, that's totally okay. I mean he has kind
of been in comics history iconically. But our friends at
screen Rant did a list of ten casting choices for

(35:22):
wonder Woman. We're gonna go down at Kevin and you're
gonna tell me do you like it or do you
see it? Do you picture this person as wonder Woman?
And you're like, nah, I'm good.

Speaker 2 (35:30):
There are few, there are a few interesting suggenments, but
I want this one right answer. That's not my opinion
of this, and.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
It's probably the answer everyone's been saying. I'm assuming you're right, Kevin. Yeah.
So at number ten they have Bruna Marcuzine. She might
be familiar to you because she was Jenny, the daughter
of Ted Cord in the Blue Beatle movie. So this
one's interesting. I could see it. She is on the
younger end, But depends how Blue Beetle is incorporated into

(35:58):
the DCU, because he might be in the DCU because
they want Zelamar Duina in it, but they haven't really
said anything. And that's a character I think probably should
pop up, should it be in this Justice League knockoff
in the Superman movie, just to be like he's he's
in here.

Speaker 2 (36:15):
You know, her take on of Jen Court in that movie.
So if they brought that Blue Beetle back, I would
love to be her to be alongside him, because she
was really cool. She kind of pushed him into the
role almost basically. I'd like to see her as that
character back in that world, kind of being like the
quote unquote person in the chair, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (36:31):
Yeah, And I think it just depends really with the
with the fate of the other franchise more than anything,
depends what happens. Another actress in the potentially in the
running might not even be at all, but Screenwan thinks
she is Charlie Fraser. She iconically was in Mad Max
Fury Furiosa, a Mad Max saga. I think she's got

(36:54):
the part. She is a more I mean most she's
a little more unknown of an actress. But I mean
gal Gado was really in Fast five before she was
wonder Woman.

Speaker 2 (37:05):
So when Date Night she was in Date Night?

Speaker 1 (37:07):
Well I think date When did Date Night come out?

Speaker 2 (37:10):
Date twenty eleven, twelve ten?

Speaker 1 (37:12):
Okay, so okay it was around then around that. Yeah,
I think looks the part there are a comma looking at.
Could be that they literally just put everyone in the
Wonder Woman costume and put the costume on top of them.
It was It's just funny.

Speaker 2 (37:26):
I will say. She has some very intense eyes, like
she can.

Speaker 1 (37:30):
Carry the scene with just I work. Yeah, another actress
potentially that could work, and this one also depends, but
you know, we think the DCEU is done. Grace Caroline
Curry infamously uh she played Mary Bromfield and Shazam. She
was the the that one ever wanted to crush. Essentially
in the Shazam movie, You're like, Okay, she didn't age

(37:51):
up and then they got rid of her adult actress,
she's just herself now.

Speaker 2 (37:55):
Again, interesting casting choice. I could see this happening. She's
she's She was a pretty good actor in this movie.

Speaker 1 (38:01):
Actually, I kind of liked her, and I do think
the second one, they gave him more to if I remember,
they gave him more to do. So that's also just
how shazam this shazam part of it, and I don't
think it is. But so they could redo that if.

Speaker 2 (38:13):
They wanted Tom what could have been?

Speaker 1 (38:15):
What could have been Eliza or sorry. Isa Gonzalez also
potentially in the running. Apparently at one point she was
gonna play Catwoman in The Batman but then obviously it
went to Zoe Kravitz. But she is actually in the
Fountain of Youth movie with John Kazinski. She looks the part,
she could see it.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
I can see it. Definitely would have to uh lift
some weights.

Speaker 1 (38:38):
But to me, all all all, another actress in the running,
I don't think this one's happening all Uh. May Kala
Kalamawa or Kalamawi uh. Infamously, she is Leila L. Fouley
aka Scarlett Scaup in Moonnight. That's not happening. That's not
happening at all, because Marvel is gonna veto that immediately. Unfortunately.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
Yeah, I'm pretty sure she and then she didn't want
to be in a superhero thing because suppose there's a
next season too, But nobody knows for sure.

Speaker 1 (39:08):
It should be, but there were Unfortunately another actress, this
one I could see. It just depends because she's she's
very I mean, she did Ballerina, but then she is also,
you know, does very artsy movies. At the same time.
Anna de Armas could I could see that. But is
she too much of a name that you don't see
her as wonder woman?

Speaker 2 (39:29):
I wanted to inach too much name. I'm prettyure she's
too expensive m M. Because one thing about David Quornswab
was he was not expensive. And James Gunn I feel
like it's kind of going through that Kevin Fackey book
of how to cast a super movie Monty people.

Speaker 1 (39:46):
You know that they're all the big people that you
will know them after this, Yeah, But.

Speaker 2 (39:51):
In my movie, they're just regular people exactly, you know
what I mean.

Speaker 1 (39:55):
Monica Barbara Babaro is also in the Running She is.
She was in Top On Maverick. She was the one
female pilot in the sort of young upstart class. She
also was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for a Complete Unknown,
the Bob Dylan movie. I could see that. I think, uh,
she does have at least the screenshots they use they

(40:16):
use very screenshots where she's mean mugg and every every
picture she has a gun. In one of them, it's
Kevin Scared now and now here we get to our
top three, any of these three, I wouldn't be mad. Uh.

Speaker 2 (40:27):
I kind of like this one.

Speaker 1 (40:29):
I don't know if it will happen, though. Melissa Barrera infamously,
you know from the screen Scream reboot movies, obviously not
generally she was the older sister Jenna Ortega. I think
she could do it. She she is on the younger end,
and I think that'd be really cool for her.

Speaker 2 (40:47):
I think she could do it as well. She has
that Galbadovis looked to her where she looks like she's
from them scared.

Speaker 1 (40:56):
I don't know say it.

Speaker 2 (40:57):
It's like she looks like she could be from that island.
And we know she can the actors ourselves can do
action because she's in a screen franchise, So I'm pretty
sure I picking up a sword and sass and fools
wildn't be hard for her.

Speaker 1 (41:08):
Yeah. And then on top of that, and she's I
think she's thirty three, so that's perfect. Another casting option
to have Alexandra de Dario from Percy Jenckson from White
Lotus from for a Bunch of Stuff. Really, yeah, maybe
it just depends how they want to have Wonder Woman
to look really is what they want to go.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
She distracting to be oneer more woman. I can't pay
any attention to or anything she was saying. I'm sorry
you were hypnotize me for a second. I see anything
you're saying. Repeat that. Can you roll it back?

Speaker 1 (41:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (41:40):
Film person. Uh.

Speaker 1 (41:42):
And then the number one pick according to screen Rant,
and I think this is everyone's pick right now because
you know, she's very top of mind right now and
very pop culture, very culturally or zeitgeist pop pop culture,
zeitgeist right now. Adria Jorna uh from Obviously she played
bis in and Or both season and or. I think

(42:04):
she she could kill it. Uh. She also was in
hit the hit Man movie if you saw it on
Netflix when that came out as well. Oh she was
Oh yes, and she was Morbious as well, if you
saw Morbius. I think they could do. I mean, James
Gunn does kind of have his finger on the pulse
to a degree. So it just really depends on how

(42:27):
soon they cast this movie. Really, I mean the actress.

Speaker 2 (42:31):
The episode when they walked into the Empire office building.
Blew it up. Oh that's wonder woman. That that's what
I'm saying. Oh, she's one woman, that's what that is.

Speaker 1 (42:40):
I will follow you and resto war. Damn how culturally
relevant and or has been to the current state of
the US of what's going on the weekend in DC
this weekend, and what's happening everywhere else in the country.

Speaker 2 (42:57):
Yeah, it's anyway. She she could definitely kill this role.
I have seen one drawback about her to say that
she's too short, but Proba Downing is also shorter than
them both Captain America.

Speaker 1 (43:07):
Yeah, it doesn't really matter.

Speaker 2 (43:10):
Wears hot heel boots.

Speaker 1 (43:11):
Yeah, we can figure it out. Yeah they will. They
will stuff the shoes. Believe you me. I'm wearing Hokahs.
Now they can put the foam in the bottom of
the shoes and it's unnoticeable a little bit. It's okay.
But so that's that's off in the distance. Hopefully we'll
find out that that kind of casting, don't. I don't
know if we would find it by this year's Comic Con,

(43:32):
but for sure by next year's Comic Con.

Speaker 2 (43:35):
Oh yeah, I know they're having a comic Con panel,
not definitely a national panel, but him and John Cena
will be there for peace will come out of that.
But I do feel like we do need to know
won Woman in the Batman is very.

Speaker 1 (43:49):
Yeah, we just got to get everything in the house
in order because right now, and I think I've said
this like a couple of weeks ago, like we know
Peace Nagger's happening, and that Green Lantern Show is happening,
but is the Paradise Lost show happening? Like the Creature
Commando season two? The Waller Show. Creature Commando season two
is in development right now? Like where are we going

(44:10):
now that things have been executed? You know, once we
get past you know, we finally got Superman out, Now,
where do you want to take me next?

Speaker 2 (44:16):
And like, I know the thing that's been saying, like,
you know, we don't want to announce anything until Superman
is good. It's gonna be good. Have you seen the trailers.
It's gonna be a pretty good movie.

Speaker 1 (44:25):
We'll get to it. I have an insider that we
will see Kevin, we will see.

Speaker 2 (44:30):
I mean, I've read a lot of things on test
screens of Superman and Fantastic Four, and what I gather
Gela's will be a fun time in the movie theater.

Speaker 1 (44:38):
Hey, don't forget Jurassic World rebirth.

Speaker 2 (44:41):
So, like I said, I don't think it's gonna be good.
It's make a lot of money, though, we make a
lot of money.

Speaker 1 (44:49):
But Kevin, now we've talked about wonder Woman, Well let's
talk about the thing that is kind of the precipice
of the DCU Superman. Because it is Superman Day in
the US as this pot cast recording, and to celebrate that,
yesterday dc released the final trailer for Superman. We're gonna
watch it, react and talk about it because this will

(45:10):
probably be the last time we see a trailer before
we go actually see the movie is literally like a
month away, like yes less than that now it was yesterday.
It was a month away.

Speaker 2 (45:20):
And it's getting nitty gritty out there, man, because I
feel like every time they bring to so many one
of these trailers, the Zach Zech Snyder bros.

Speaker 1 (45:29):
Like so I don't like him in Underweard. Okay, we
get it, this is it's a look, doesn't really matter.

Speaker 2 (45:37):
I do have one thing that bother me about this trailer,
but we'll talk about that after we watch it. But
it's something that only gonna bother me.

Speaker 1 (45:44):
So the trailer obviously came out because tickets are on
sale now. And I love that Fan Dangle has just
been crashing. It crashed because it's Fantastic four two weeks
ago or last week. I think they did it on purpose,
and Fandangle just crashes just to make the movie look good,
like when they.

Speaker 2 (45:58):
Noticed the big of Hey tomorrow morning, don't don't activate
total service.

Speaker 1 (46:01):
Yeah, we're fine, we're fine. It's a good press. It's
good press. So let's break down the trailer on the
count of three, Kevin, you can play. We'll watch it
then react to it. Okay, baby, let's do it. I
one A, two A three, buildings crashing, people, dust on car.

(46:31):
This is for the audio listeners, the.

Speaker 2 (46:33):
Most powerful being on planet Earth.

Speaker 1 (46:37):
Who is narrating this also sounds like Neil Patrick Harrison
Fortress of Solitude. Now as planned, that's the engineer's former.
I'll destroy you. That reporter you always do interviews with

(46:58):
who raised you as a child. Well, this is this
old man an old lady looks good as lex I'll
say that he looks good. Ball. We've seen this.

Speaker 2 (47:22):
No matter what you do to me, Lucier, your plans
will work.

Speaker 1 (47:29):
Wrap it up. Good luck with that. Oh the two
that's a three D scene right there, forty ACA.

Speaker 2 (47:40):
Make a move.

Speaker 1 (47:45):
Hell yeah, I want to hear this thing. It's good
like when it well, it's gonna hit. It's gonna hit
in the theater.

Speaker 2 (47:58):
They shows him little like that.

Speaker 1 (48:00):
Die Hi, quit messing around. I'm not messing around stuff,
James gunhamor tool te.

Speaker 2 (48:16):
Hey, buddy, Li's up here, see it.

Speaker 1 (48:21):
I kid your tickets now, hell yeah, hell yeah, that's good. Now, Kevin,
your thought that you had before the podcast or before
the trailer, now that you've seen the trailer again.

Speaker 2 (48:36):
I don't like Lex Luthor's voice.

Speaker 1 (48:38):
See I don't. I think what it is is. I
think it's this. It depends how the Fris franchise will go.

Speaker 2 (48:45):
This movie.

Speaker 1 (48:45):
It can beat deweeby Dory. He's cooler and Jesse Eisenberg,
that's for sure, you know.

Speaker 2 (48:50):
But I'm like, like again, I am a DC animated universe.
Stand Clancy Brown was Clancy Brown is my Lex Luthor. Man.
I'm not used to see anybody else but being Clancy Brown,
being Lex Luthor. And he had a very very heavy voice.

Speaker 1 (49:03):
You know, it's very He's like.

Speaker 2 (49:05):
Hey give him and he tells him kill them.

Speaker 1 (49:09):
I think you know you're right. I mean Gene Hackman too.
You need sort of authoritative voice someone else. But we're
not going to talk about for Superman returns. But but
I think I think this one it makes sense because
they've said infamously, this is a world, a DC world
that's been lived in. You know, it is not Superman

(49:31):
being the one the first hero ever. Did you know
he's not the Iron Man of this universe that Superman
has been active to a degree. So Nicholas Whole, you're right.
I think they are the younger side of things, but
who knows. I think that's you gotta give it screen
time more than just seeing it in the trailer.

Speaker 2 (49:49):
And like I said, it doesn't mean they're not getting
my thirteen fifty. Yeah, they get and then I'm getting
my my my kettle corn, I'm getting my my sprite.
I'm still being there day one, and then I'll used
to it. I remember people didn't really like Michael B.
Jorans Killmonger back in the day, So I mean.

Speaker 1 (50:07):
What dumb I'm probably wrong to kill the MC is
like our top villain besides Dan. It's a low key yeah.

Speaker 2 (50:14):
I think.

Speaker 1 (50:14):
Also it is wild to think in twenty twenty five,
mister Terrific is Yeah, is gonna be a household name
by the end of this movie compared to obviously it wasn't,
or he was in Arrow and the Arrow Verse. But
people were like, I know what mister Terrific is now,
I know who Guy Gardner is over how hopefully they
know who how Jordan and John Stewart kids at least. Yeah,

(50:37):
So being to see how you incorporate those characters we've
kind of talked about, like this movie is setting off
for Superman, but also for the the groundwork of the DCU.
Fully now that Creature Commandos kind of had its one
go with Guy Gardner facing off potentially at one point
with Superman is just a cool little power balance, which
we'll get to see in the DCU two degree too.

Speaker 2 (50:57):
Yeah, I know the Green Lant, the Green Land can
flash his ring to like the frequency or whatever it
is of kryptonite. So that's what that scene is. And
there's also was a scene where that happened in the
comic books. I don't read Superman a lot, so I
don't know what just that scene that I'll look it
up later and see what happens. But I am kind
of hoping he puts Guycottner in his place. Yeah, because

(51:18):
it seems like you can put down.

Speaker 1 (51:19):
Let's just break your ring, you're done, And I know
green lanterns can construct things with another ring. It's a
it's a whole thing. We'll get that in the Lantern Show.
No st We'll get there, We'll get there. It is interesting.
My question to you, Kevin, is there's the idea that
we might be intro introducing multiverses already in Superman. Do
you think it's too early to do that in the

(51:39):
DCU or it's like, hey, you guys know it already,
we're gonna start introducing it. Because infamously Ultra Man in
the comics is a multiverse thing, and the engineer who's
the lady who has transformers things, she's a little bit
of the multiverse stuff too. Do you think it's too
early for that stuff or you think it's okay be too.

Speaker 2 (51:58):
Early for some people. I think that's kind of been
confirmed if you watch the Peacemaker trailer that we're throwing
multiverse a lot more fluid than the hinted multiverse that
does spind in Marvel for the last six five years.
I'm cool with it. I get how some people say
it's a lazy form of story telling what it can't
follow it. I'm just like, just watch the movie. If
they tell you everything you need to know, Like, I mean,

(52:20):
what a James Gun movie. He tells you everything you
need to know, Like you know everything about the Guardians.
If you watch Sliver, you knew everything that was going wrong,
you know why that's slippery, you know what happened in
the other exactly. So I mean he's very good at
giving you everything you need to know about a specific
plot point or mcguffin in a movie. He does. So
if it's multiverse, I'm fine with it because I mean, again,
CW fans over here, we lived on it. I'm cool

(52:43):
with it. So if that's what it is, and we
get to see I don't know, maybe misterrifics from another universe,
maybe that guy Gardens fro another universe and he's only
here for a little bit for some reason. I'm fine
with it. I'm cool with it.

Speaker 1 (52:53):
Yeah, I think this will be cool. I do think
David Korinsar is gonna be really good. I think it
just depends how James gun humor is in this movie,
because you want, you know, you're Superman to be you
want to be humanized, but you also want to be
authoritative at the same time, like you were like, I
will follow that man just like very much to like
you know, you pick you see Robert Downs Junior, Chris Evans,

(53:13):
I will follow them, you know.

Speaker 2 (53:15):
Yeah, Like again going back to duc Many universe, that
Superman was a very good leader, but he always felt
like he had he had to treat everything very you know,
like like everything is a piece of paper. But when
he had to let loose on dark Side, he let
loose on dark Side people like oh, like to the
point where there was one episode I remember where He's
trying to kill dark Side and Batman had to like
actually kidnap him with the Motherbox and be like, you

(53:37):
were about to lose yourself. Clock, I can't let you
do that because once you once you're gone, that's it.
You're not coming back, and we can't stop you. So
you can't go, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (53:47):
Yeah, I think obviously we've kind of talked about just
what this movie. Batman and Wonder Woman needs to set
up going forward with that. We have Peacemaker obviously this August.
But I think overall, like it looks like it's gonna
hit the beats. I think it really just how the
story comes together and having all these many things introduced

(54:08):
in the first movie if it'll work or not, because
usually you get an origin movie and then the sequel
is when you go a little crazy with introducing the
Easter eggs and here's you know, Batman. Superman is essentially
Man versus Man of Steel too. It isn't, but it
is of like, here's a crossovers, here's everything, so be
inter to see how it manages it. And it's wild

(54:29):
because I think today on my Facebook, I got the
time lapse of you saw Man of Steel in theaters
literally like ten year, twelve or twelve years ago today,
which is wild because obviously, like I was at worked
at a summer camp and I was our day off
was go see Superman at a drive in movie theater
and I'm like, damn, like that was a time, like

(54:50):
that was the last time I saw a Superman movie
was twelve years ago?

Speaker 2 (54:54):
Like today, Wow, that is crazy. I do think the
scenes from this train tiler. It's the third act if
to me, it looks like Lex is trying to send
everything at him and see if you can still be
a Superman, and he's proving them wrong and he's getting
pissed off.

Speaker 1 (55:10):
Yeah, like I think eventually and the toys have kind
of leaked this to an agree but it is. You know,
Lex is gonna be very figure in the box seat,
just calling the shots until the very final thing where
he gets in the power shuit or something. I think
you have to have Lex in the power suit. I
just think it's a look that you know. It's in
the It's in it's in Injustice, It's in it's in

(55:31):
the shows, it's and everything.

Speaker 2 (55:32):
I've had an idea, so if this movie X with
ends with Lex going to jail, and there's the one
what what happens to Lex Corp? And there's like there's
like a little blurb, Oh this just in Wayne Corp
has brought all shares of Lex Corp. And kind of like,
how how you're we don't see him, but we know
he's in the world. He's paying attention to what's going on.

Speaker 1 (55:47):
But you're like, no, it's not, it's not Bruce. It
was his dad's name, Thomas Wayne. He's like, oh, a
little twisty, little twist, little twist if this Thomas way,
that means might be dad and be joker. Oh, I
don't want that. That's too much. And we don't want that.
We don't want that's too far. That's too far. A
switches back over to the normal view because we've seen

(56:10):
the trailer enough. I'm excited. I know we're you know,
being a month out. Say what you will, but you know,
it's it's it's cool just to have competition, really to marvel,
to have a Superman movie from a from an act
from a James Gun, like you expect goodness from James Gun.
Sorry Zack Snyder, but your track record do improve itself
after after BVS and everything, so well, it's a.

Speaker 2 (56:33):
I think Zack Snyder was making a different type of
DCU that was based on those was it rebirth the storyline.
I think it was called that's some DC's when they
kind of redid.

Speaker 1 (56:42):
All the fifty two is sort of that it was
based on.

Speaker 2 (56:46):
That is a little darker than your run of the
real DC comics, and people didn't like it. I mean
some people like that. I like I love Man. I
thought it was a very different, interesting take on Superman.
BVS is good, The extend edition is good. Justice League
is just man what a miss miss.

Speaker 1 (57:05):
But well, you know, we'll find out a month and
that will really you know, don't make your judge until
you see the movie. I think it is also the
thing because you might buy with it when others don't.

Speaker 2 (57:13):
I've already made it's gonna be good.

Speaker 1 (57:16):
I made my decision. Is gonna be great.

Speaker 2 (57:19):
I feel like from Superman being the information of hope
and then Fantastic Four being in the sixties where everything
was hopeful, it's gonna be a whole time.

Speaker 1 (57:28):
In the movie, Jurassic Parks gonna you know, you're like, oh, well.

Speaker 2 (57:31):
Yeah, leave leave leave thee Also, dinosaurs alone.

Speaker 1 (57:35):
The reason why the one I think it's funny just
I haven't seen tiktoks about Jurassic World where people have
bought in the toy of the new dinosaur, the d
Rex or whatever, and it's very it's the family guy
memeing of like no one wants to play with me,
Oh it's okay, I'm special, and it's like you are
one of a kind dinosaur. I tell you that what

(57:56):
the guys. But obviously we will be back on Monday
to getting you ready just for the the real summer.
Blockbuster Road is really ramping up. Obviously, got how to
Train your Dragon? This weekend, Next weekend is l e oh.
Weekend after is Megan two point zero. Don't forget that one. Yeah,
big big month, big month, big month.

Speaker 2 (58:18):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (58:18):
And then obviously those three movies, and there's some stuff
in August, not as big, but you get to watch
it if you want.

Speaker 2 (58:24):
Naked Gun Baby.

Speaker 1 (58:25):

which is going to be polarizing, alrighty know that, So
then that'll be fun, fun nerdy.

Speaker 1 (58:58):
Time in you know, in two weeks time, we will
have Ironheart three episodes to talk about.

Speaker 2 (59:05):
Yes, and I'm pretty sure from the only one in
America that likes it.

Speaker 1 (59:08):
And it will be a quick conversation or a long
conversation that determined by how the show goes really more
than anyone exactly. If it's quick, probably bad. If it's long,
could be either. Could be here exactly exactly, But anyway,
have a great weekend. Go stay out of DC. We
can go do something fun instead that doesn't evolved. Stay

(59:30):
in the house, you know, go go to brunch, but
don't go in to DC this wee can't just avoid
it completely.

Speaker 2 (59:36):
Door dash brunch, don't leave. It's only been Probably.

Speaker 1 (59:39):
Play some video games, play Kingdom Hearts to the whole
soccer this weekend. It will take you longer than a weekend,
but you could do it.
