Speaker 1 (00:09):
Welcome back to the nerdy news you need to know
throughout the week on iHeart radioing bad cast services around
the world. Because my name's Honey, you Kevin, and you're
officially listening to this Monday fun episode like cat Crisis
on Infinite b CA.
Speaker 2 (00:32):
I don't know why, but I cannot get the Crash
bandicoop minimes out of my head right now.
Speaker 1 (00:37):
But I think we know what you're gonna play today, Kevin.
It's gonna be some Crash bandicoot, maybe some Crash Team racing,
just to get it out of your head.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Actually, that's one of the only like old school platforms
I don't have, like a version of I have Spirro,
I may have copies.
Speaker 3 (00:49):
I'm a guest the Crocodile game. I don't have any Crash.
I love Crash back.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Well, I mean they did was they did have a
Crash game a couple of years ago, like two or
three years ago. On the game it was what the
hell was that called Crash Crash four? Yeah, yeah, it's
about time. Yeah, yeah, it's fun.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
It was fun game.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
Crash is a great French a great franchise. It kind
of introduced the world three D gaming back in the day,
the old PS.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
One, Oh PS one, I'd bring you already the PS
four and then not so much since then because PlayStation
don't do platforms like that no more. But you know
what do do platforms like that us? You can listen
to us and interact with us on all our platforms
including uhs at even underscore pots on the Instagram. Oh go,
(01:36):
and good with you to figure out the transition in
their mid process. You saw my brain working there.
Speaker 3 (01:40):
I'm said, probably said, because I'm a child.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
I knew it would stop. You How to keep powering through?
Or Kevin with those other platforms that they can interact
with us live and we record this podcast and really
later on their own time.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
YouTube dot com slash if you underscore pots and watch
us on demand at your own leisure or even know
it's live twice a week in the chat twist dot tv,
Slash Underscore pods, hang out with us, hang about Jahns Macard,
hell about Mike?
Speaker 3 (02:03):
Can I want any drag on? Just have a good
old time about whatever about.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
You know, be one of the people. Go to hear
that one, Kevin. That's great, good, all right? We figured
out how Kevin can hear it now you can hear,
but we have a jam packed show for you today.
Not a lot on the dock, it's still packed. We
try to pack as much as we can even if
it's as busy. We're gonna talk about a new cast
member coming to Spider Man brand new day, gonna be
doing our last minute predictions for Ironheart, which wild to
(02:30):
believe comes out this week's first three episodes, And in
honor of just making Kevin happy, we are gonna watch
the Naked Gun trailer, the full one that it'll definitely
is not appropriate for Twitch, but you know, we're gonna
see how far we can go on. And that's why
at the end of the podcast, if.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
You are watching with your children, shield their eyes.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Maybe just mute the video and then do that. But
if you are in the Twitch chat right now, I
think not like this conversation. Uh Andy Drogan armand moderated
actually said, what is your go to Taco bell order? Kevin?
What's your go to taco bell order.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
I'm not a big Taco bell guy, but at this
point I'm going to now and get Nuggas fries, So
I mean it's probably.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
Okay, Kevin. That was probably the worst taco Bell order.
Anyone could ever get a Taco Bell order nuggets.
Speaker 3 (03:21):
They have fries. I'm getting nuggets and fries and a
large Baha.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Bless all right, there you go. As for me, it
depends how I'm feeling, but usually you can't go wrong
with the Caesa Dia. The cantina case is okay. I
think it's it's a little too much. Sometimes you just like,
what's a lot a lot of cheese on the inside,
cheese on the outside, ice cream, ice cream?
Speaker 3 (03:42):
Pa job, I wasn't paying of the Mexican pizza.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Yeah, I think when they brought it back wasn't as good.
I think it's just like, oh, okay, I'm okay, and
I don't need it as much. Like it went away
before Chipotle and Mo's and Cadoba took over our world,
you know, and then it came back.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
I hate to get on his rent, but like even today,
like I went to Raisin Canes today after church, and
I feel like the fries I used to get there could.
Speaker 3 (04:05):
Be more fries. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
I feel like they only get like a corner of
fries in there. It wasn't like a normal fry. And man,
I'm like, man, skip on the fries. I guess it's
hard times.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
Well that's why you go to five Guys where Eric
and I found out a little fry gets you ninety
four fries. So ninety four exactly at least that specific one.
But can't go raan case cheese gerdiita crunch is good, obviously.
Do you do baja? My trick is be healthier. You
mix half of the diet baja and half of the
regular baja. The regular baja overpowers the diet baja, so
(04:37):
you're fine.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
I am so good with that drinking soda until summertime
and I'm in a line of Target and the freaking
baja lesson fridge, Like.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
God, dang it, it's not gonna be here when the
fall comes.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
You got to stock up, so you buy now and
put put it. Like if you have a house, and
Kevin and some some people listening to have that you
have an outside fridge that goes in your outside fridge
and you get that later. You're like, when you need
a store up for winter, I.
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Have to do that because now I'm getting tired to
always have to shell out extra two ninety nine at
the Target, thinking like got get a boy, how blast.
Speaker 3 (05:06):
I gotta target well.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
And this is a separate conversation we've talked about talking
about foods Kevin, do you prefer Baja blast in the
can in the bottle or a taco about?
Speaker 2 (05:17):
Oh, for any soda, Baa blasts PEPSI. There's nothing like
getting that thing fraight from the fountain.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
Man that click that fountains just gotta be right, because
I'm sometimes that fountain doesn't hit and it's like, oh,
it's just watered down.
Speaker 3 (05:30):
The other thing too, and another thing that this is
me getting to my like conspiracy theory.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
Depending on where you go. Sometimes those fridges on all
the way cold. Sometimes you drink it's it's chilled, but
it's not cold.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
It just depends on It depends what the setting was
on their little soda machine.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
Because I got a boy how blast from a target
in near me in Pikesville. It was a little warmer
than when I got in righteous sound that one was
a colder. Must be people just playing with the temperature
thingfrigerators weird.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
This is how you know, we don't have a lot
of news that because we're talking about talking about fast
it's the most engaging conversation with right now, But Kevin,
we'll do one more conversation here, raising canes versus Chick
fil A? Which one do you think is better?
Speaker 2 (06:12):
Uh, it's definitely Chick fil A. The only reason I
like raising knes because the toast is amazing.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Toast is good. I do think the tea half and
half tea of sweet and sweet is better at Canes
than Chick fil A, but it's because it's like freshly made,
and they're both freshly made. But it's less.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
What I do is this is really fat thing. I
do only do it once a quarter.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
I don't go to where the kings all the time,
but when I do go, I could I get a
three finger combo with actuallyeces of toast, and then each
finger I make make a sandwich.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
Basis a little baby, little babysit.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
It's a little slider, you know, a little slider, tender slider.
This is kind of We have one near us in
this Northern Virginia area that I sometimes hit when I'm like, oh,
I have to like traffic makes you go that way,
and I'm like I'm gonna get in there. Like that
was good. It could be better. Life is good, but
it'll be better. O key.
Speaker 2 (07:02):
Actually, I think the best tender in the fast food
game is probably Popeye's.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Yeah, I didn't know Popeyes has blackened tenders, which is
like they're healthy tenders.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
Yeah, they're like grilled something like that.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
So I'm gonna try that this week because I'm trying
to get on a little healthy kick before I unload
Universal this upcoming weekend.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
You got a promise, System, you're gonna pray.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
All right, system, Mary, you've had a salad in there
this week, one salad. You can have the mac and
cheese cones for days now.
Speaker 2 (07:27):
Baby, it's like what's called drodge any ary after like
the massacre of Christmas in New York.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
Yeah, I'm doing one week healthy and the unleash the
mac and cheese cones in my dumb dumb anyway, Well,
let's get onto the podcast that we've done, this diatribe
we've gone on. We always start the podcast probably with
something we like to call what you're doing. We talking
about the shows and movies. We've been watching, games, we've
(07:54):
been playing, lives, we've been living. Because it is Monday, Kevin,
you get to go first, good sir, What she been
doing this weekend?
Speaker 3 (08:03):
All right? Now, for a week though.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
Right now I'm watching the chat literally we'm talking about
chicken Tanno. Rural farms enter the chat literally, No, rural
farms is the thing. I personally, I can't do world
farms anymore because I used to work overnight lunch. That's
always the only thing opens now, even the smell World Farm, like, ugh,
I don't want to because it just took me back
to working overnight.
Speaker 3 (08:22):
Fourteen hours a night back in the day. I just
don't want to do it anymore.
Speaker 1 (08:24):
That's true. There's another side tangent too with that. Speaking
of food places that serve food, gas stations of BUCkies
is opening up in Harrisonburg, Virginia, which is the closest
that will be to anybody in this area. It's about
a two and a half hour drive from where I
live right now. I might and it opens up next week,
so I might go. I might go during that Fourth
of July break.
Speaker 2 (08:44):
I haven't been to a BUCkies yet, but I've been
to a rural farms a while while, and a sheet
and right now that trifecta sheets is my number one?
Speaker 3 (08:52):
Why was number two in the rural farms?
Speaker 1 (08:54):
Yeah? I think, I mean she says like, with the
ordered food, you can do. Man, we need to get
off of this damn food. She has a variety of
food you can order while you're just getting Hogies. I've
never had the pizza there, but I've heard mixed reviews
about the pizza. Wah.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
I remember after concerts? Did you fully live? Back in
the day? Sheets hard could?
Speaker 2 (09:13):
I'll be on my feet all day setting up interviews, equipment,
be hot.
Speaker 3 (09:18):
I'm like, I'm hungry, I want everything. I'll go to
Sheets and get everything.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
But the game will change once BUCkies opens up next
week and Harrison Berkeley make a two hour drive and BUCkies.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
That sounds like it needs to be chronicle on Instagram.
Speaker 1 (09:29):
I think we're gonna I told Eric, I'm like, hey,
let's let's go one of these days there for July
and just have fun time. But Kevin, you have the floor.
What have you been doing?
Speaker 3 (09:38):
Good?
Speaker 1 (09:38):
Sir?
Speaker 3 (09:39):
Well, thankfully, my single dad life is over.
Speaker 2 (09:41):
Alicia and Lee went on a fun trip to Las
Vegas and Arizona this week with my father in law.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
I'll go to the Grand Canyon.
Speaker 1 (09:48):
They win anything, I don't.
Speaker 3 (09:50):
I think my father in law won ten bucks.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
We'll take it.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
There's one of his buckles's items. You want to see
the Grand Canyon. So I wish I could have went,
but it was kind of not thrown together, but it
was kind of last minutes. Unfortunately we don't have We
are down short staff right now. Like Dan, you guys
have fun. But she wanted to take care with her.
I'm just like, first of all, you know we've done
this before, wife Alicia getting an infant or toddler through
(10:16):
the airport as hell.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
And I can't help you because I don't take it.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
I'm not going.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
So she stayed here with me. We hung out all week.
She's her favorite thing now was to say ready to
go and do something. I don't know what. And it's cool.
Speaker 2 (10:33):
She's knowing her, she's learning her words and what they mean.
But I never know what go means. Go could means
she runs to me once we throw up in the air.
Go cold means she's runs away from I don't know
if she went in the house and I gotta find her.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
She gotta have her just in cases.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
So go means whatever go means to hers, it's always fun, like, hey,
she's gonna do go Yesterday also meant she hit my
TV with a sword.
Speaker 3 (10:54):
So that was not cool.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
So we're not a real sword a toy story.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
It was a toy so yeah, the toy.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
It was a real sword, the sword from right what
was movie RAYA and the Last Dragon that sort, And
it was still still a pretty pretty thick sword.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
So I'm like, please don't hit my l T T
because them things are fragile TV. So that was fun.
Start started at Kham City yesterday, so.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
You sped through Arkham Asylum. You finished that one for
the hundred times starnted Arkham.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
City, Arkham City. It's funny.
Speaker 2 (11:26):
I forgot how much when they update those older games,
how it really looked when it came out.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
Now it's like it's like a certain type of like
dialed animation.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
Oh yeah, I mean I looked over the weekend just
the same thoughts of need for speed, most wanting the
two thousand and five one, and I was like, oh man,
that game would hit right now, just let me drive
and customize, Like that was a time that was a
need for speed was like top of its ish and
it downfalled after that quickly. Uh, the last for speaking
(11:55):
game they come out, but they're not as they don't
hit it's like Aforts Grand Tarisa anymore, and you can't
play it on the Xbox Series ACTS or PlayStation store.
But I was like, I remember the game being back
in the day looking so good and looked it up
the YouTube video of it someone playing on PC. I'm like,
we use some live action in this that should not
have been used in video games like that.
Speaker 2 (12:17):
And I think the reason why that that game, that
particular game franchise for Speed, most most wanted for Spreed
Underground on Ground to the soundtrack.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
Was et Leak and it was curious. It's a peak,
not peak, but it was like the height of Fast
and Furious coming out. So there's like we're into this
is the culture right now.
Speaker 2 (12:35):
I remember the song from Speed I think the most
wanted to Underground to Papa I got a for Speed.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
I'm gonna I'm gonna put that on my playlist this weekend.
Drive Why is he driving so fast to worry about?
Speaker 2 (12:47):
I remember I remember most one of them. At the time,
I had a Cobalt assessment, made my Cobalt on the game.
It was a cool stingerload of me.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
Let me make my Honda Accord.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
Yeah, so I'm going through that Auckham Sitting now.
Speaker 2 (12:59):
I'm still very early into it, but I'm remembering, like
I feel like where I'm at right now, the game.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
Is doesn't seem too long. It might be the shortest one.
Speaker 1 (13:07):
I think, where are you at? Well, I mean it's spoiler,
everyone's played Dark City by now, but where are you at?
Speaker 3 (13:13):
So? I just started.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
I went to the clock tower. I know Joker shot
is and I'm going to see a Joker and ask
him why he tried to kill me. Then once you
go there, that's when you find out he's dying and
you get infected. And from there you go down to
raise ol Ghoules place to get the.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
Which was creepy off the underground wonder Town or whatever.
It was creepy as hell back in the day.
Speaker 2 (13:32):
But I feel like the game isn't as long as
Arkham Night or Kham Asylum. So I feel like I'm
gonna breathe right through this in like three days.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
I do.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
I do feel like though that Arkham City, if I remember,
like it was a lot of like, oh, we're going fast,
than there's a lot of backtracking, like we got to
backtrack and go through this to a new area. Metro advaging.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
I do remember, like you get to a part and
then just stops and I'll be catwoman for a while.
So that would be fun to go through that.
Speaker 3 (13:56):
And that's what that.
Speaker 2 (13:57):
I'm in a real game hole, like I don't know
what I'm gona play that, honestly, trying to think of something.
Speaker 1 (14:01):
Well, I'm working on working on something for you, baby,
enter at you.
Speaker 3 (14:05):
I could download the I S.
Speaker 2 (14:06):
I haven't played The Horizons Burning Shores.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
Yeah, something like that. Stoting there, Well, Kevin, I'll have
you know. Backyard Sports ninety seven baseball is on switch
and PlayStation as of last week, so maybe that's something
you'd DoPT. It's only four bucks. You just take your team.
You know you you love the show. That's your hidden
pleasure of a game. I'm going backguard sports now.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
I putting on Rookie and hitting fifteen home runs of games. Fun.
Speaker 1 (14:31):
He be whoever you want in that game in Backyard Sports.
Speaker 2 (14:35):
And then also I've been binging American Dad. I don't
know why are you watching new episodes? Are you watching
the old episode?
Speaker 3 (14:42):
New wish old ones? Does that make sense? Like why
when they left.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
Fox and went to TBS and now they're on Cartoon
Network or on Fox again.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
Now yeah, go back on Box again. That show. In
some ways, that show's funnier than American Dad. I mean
some Family Guy.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
I think because it it was a very niche audience
and Roger the Alien, it was like they could kind
of get away with anything, where Family Guy was kind
of like the main staple show that had to be like, well,
we do fun stuff, but we also have to keep
this through line going, do agree?
Speaker 3 (15:12):
Yeah? Then too, Like I don't know this.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
One of the show original showners left the show, like
in season ten or eleven or something like that. And
then the guy that was observed since the beginning, he
kind of turned it more into like an all in
the family rip off, and I'm like, oh, I.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
Kind of see it stands an idiot, but he has
a heart of gold sometimes.
Speaker 2 (15:28):
And then they have a daughter that lives with with
the with their with their husband inside the house, and
the son's an idiot and his other son is not
what he wanted.
Speaker 3 (15:36):
Oh, I kind of because he all of the family
in a little bit.
Speaker 2 (15:40):
But I watched the episode yesterday when Steve was stuck
in the locker and it's just whenever stay he's singing
man that show.
Speaker 3 (15:46):
Is a lead.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
Yeah, that's and it's funny is you don't realize it
is if you watch the Ted show, he's the dad
of Yes, he's the dad in that show, and he's
in a bunch of other things that you don't realize
that's him.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
He actually has a couple.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
Of his songs he released back in the day on
his YouTube page. Yes, she's a really good singing, really
really good singer.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
That's what I've been doing. But what about you?
Speaker 1 (16:09):
Yeah, So for me, obviously, we had intern John's comedy
shows this weekend that was really great, so Aaron Giles
was always good to see him. We had at the
Arlington Draft House, which is real nice because it was
like ten minutes from my house, so I appreciate that
because like I can walk there. It was really dope,
played some games obviously, and just a good time overall.
It's exciting because we have we had that this weekend. Thursday,
(16:32):
we have Second Chance prom at the film or Silver Spring,
which will be really fun, and then next weekend we
go to Universal. So it's a really busy weekend, but
it's fun. It's fun.
Speaker 2 (16:40):
Nevertheless, did Layman second Chance from like four people didn't
go to a prom in high school.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
It's a it's a it's a themed concert. It's like
two thousands, nineties, late nineties artists, early very early two
thousands artists. It'll be a fun time if you ever
want to go to the most concerts now times ago,
and you can dress up more or not, up to you.
I'm wearing my wedding suit, part of my wedding suit
to look with jeans with the suit, the whole suit,
no jeans. I don't know. Why would I be wearing
(17:09):
jeans with a suit.
Speaker 3 (17:11):
Top like that, like kindergarten cop thing like no, and
we're not doing that.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
I did, obviously play a little bit more Pokemon Crystal.
That's been great, just been reliving that and Kevin I'm
happy to say tears on my team now and God
of wore Ragdrok so you know, I'm about seven hours
into that game now.
Speaker 3 (17:32):
It's a fun game, man, It is funny too, just.
Speaker 1 (17:35):
Because, like I know, I'm very late to the party,
but like I finally, like a lot of games, you
have to hit that point and then you're in it
the whole time. And I finally reached that point with
God of War Ragnarrok, and I was watching all the trailers.
I'm like, man, exactly where I'm at right now is
where all the trailers kind of stop. So I'm interest
see what happens after what goes down.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
I'm not gonna yeah, Yeah, let's keep on playing. Let's
keep on Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:01):
But it's been fun. And I do appreciate that you
can customize your outfit and it doesn't have to be armor.
We always appreciate that a good game because you want
the looks, but you also want the power ups and
all that good stuff.
Speaker 3 (18:12):
I still have to I have to reach out that
game again. I don't know why this is. This is
a good.
Speaker 1 (18:19):
And Kevin my question for the game so far, because
you've beaten it. There is no Infinity Gauntlet knockoff this
time right in Ragonarrock, like there was in the first
Out of War, meaning like like in in God of
War or twenty seventeen or whatever, there was a wrist
armor that was like Gauntlet and if you had five
like six enchantments, it would turn into like you hit that,
(18:40):
you hit it and it would turn into it Infinity
Gauntlet and just to kill anybody.
Speaker 2 (18:44):
I don't think there is I'm not entirely Suregui cradles
Bill was built just pretty much to be a tank.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
Yeah, I'm good.
Speaker 3 (18:54):
I'm really bad at pairing sometimes, so I'm like, just
I free excess.
Speaker 1 (18:58):
The dodge button because I always forget every time on
which one is the dog button. Here.
Speaker 3 (19:04):
Have you find any of the Preserkers yet?
Speaker 1 (19:05):
I don't know, Kevin, I don't know what that is.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
So and in the last game they had the Valkyries,
you can feel fine. In this game they have these
people that are like there you'll find like a half
of a sword handle next to.
Speaker 3 (19:18):
A graveyard, and then they come out.
Speaker 2 (19:20):
And then those are these people fighting the rag Rock
and they are as hard as the Valkyries were.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
No, so I have not reached them yet, so we will.
We will get there soon.
Speaker 3 (19:29):
Friend of advice, leave them alone on easy.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
People who make you like I want to, Kevin, I
want to, But That's what I've been doing. But always
let us know what you've been doing at in for
Underscore pods. But Kevin, let's get on into it. It's
time for the news time. And first things first, we
have to talk about that Spider Man brand New Day. Well,
(19:57):
they just added a brand new cast member to the film,
and it's pretty much ended up going to be a
beary union at this point more than anything.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
Peter, Peter, come here, let me tell you something. Tell you,
let me tell you something.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
If that didn't give it away, our poor, poor, very
interpretations of his voice. John Berthought will be Frank Castle,
aka the Punisher in Spider Man Brand New Day, according
to The Hollywood Porter. According to the Berthall has been
cast obviously destin Daniel Cratton's directing the movie. Shooting begins
in England this summer, and uh, it's exciting just to
(20:35):
get Punisher and hanging out with Spider Man cool.
Speaker 2 (20:39):
I remember in the animated series in nineties there was
a cool Punisher fider Man storyline. Punisher was hunting Spider
Man down basically because he was frame for a murder, and.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
It was really really cool.
Speaker 2 (20:50):
I don't John Berthawts is a a really cool actor,
one of my favorite actors. I'm happy it's going to
be on the screen down into you, not just just
TV shows. I was really excited for him because I
feel like since since the Not the Wirel's a show
called Walk the City not.
Speaker 3 (21:07):
Too but really, since we owned This Meal the City
on HBO. He's been picking a lot of great roles.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
Yeah, and Bear obviously as just as a guest actor
in that. But he's been good every time he's in that.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
Yeah, and even just the movie he did with Ben
Affleck The Accountant Too is the Accountant. He didn't make
a lot of money, but it was really good movie.
I feel like he's really good, doing a good job
of picking his roles that really accentuate why let's say
he's coolness.
Speaker 3 (21:32):
Basically, you think the coolest guy in the world. I
have a mad question. Sorry.
Speaker 4 (21:36):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
The funny thing is this is actually gonna be the
first reunion between Tom Holland and John Burnhal because they
both were in a movie called Pilgrimage that came out
in twenty seventeen. Oddly enough, when they filmed that movie,
they both were auditioning for their Marvel roles of him
Punisher with Netflix and Tom Holland for Spidey. So it
is a fun like full circle moment for them, you know,
eight years later. I feel like we talked about that
(21:59):
back in the We probably did at the tier, like, yeah,
like this guy's cool. I don't know if you I
trust him as Spider Man, but he'd be cool. That
was before Umbrella happened with the lip Sync Battle Rest
in Peace to Lipsync Battle, which made Zindaiya and Tom
Allen household names exactly. We do know Zindaia and Jacob
(22:19):
Battallium will also be coming back. It's kind of been like,
are they coming back or they not? It's this article
kind of like established it more. Sadie Sink in an
unknown role we said fire star with who we thought
a couple of months ago she could be, but it
could always change. And the Bears. Eliza Colonne Zaias has
been cast, with everyone including us thinking she might be
(22:41):
Reo Morales or a back doorway to introduce Miles Morales
to the MCU.
Speaker 3 (22:46):
Yeah, I believe right right now.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
The current rumor is, did he sink It's going to
be playing Toby Maguire's daughter from another universe, which I
don't like. I know, I mean, I like that if
I'm as a com book nerd, I would love to
read that story, but I don't know if that's too
much for the Layman movie Girl and See.
Speaker 1 (23:04):
I feel like I would be fine with that if
that was Spider Verse, but live action Spider Man. I'm like,
let's just do his own thing, like it's just like right, yeah,
like doing the Earth like Punisher being in there and
Diary Devil. That's fine. You know, they're street level heroes.
Like it's not gonna be super cosmic and super fantastic
pun Intendo with Fantastic for coming out next month, but like,
(23:26):
have it beyond the streets of New York. We're hanging
out in New York the entire time.
Speaker 3 (23:30):
Yeah, exactly exactly. I just just I would hate. I
don't hate. But this is another portal scene and somebody
comes in, Are you Peter?
Speaker 1 (23:38):
Who are you?
Speaker 3 (23:39):
I do you know my name? I don't want to
do this again. I want I wanted to be I
want Peter to have his own story because.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
Like this, this is gonna be the first time where
like the other hero that's in Spider Man movie is
not on par or above him m because first was
iron Man. Iron Man of course was the genius of
the MCU.
Speaker 3 (23:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:57):
Second time it was mysterious to a degree here, third
time doctor Strange.
Speaker 3 (24:02):
This time, you know, Punish is really cool sider Man
spider Man.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
Yeah, and I think if anything, maybe he'll be treated
as maybe a little bit bigger of a cameo role
than Charlie Cox did as in No Way Home with
Mark Matt Murdoch as being just a lawyer. I assume
Punisher mentions, you know, oh, you talk to Red or
we talked to my friend the lawyer or something like that,
like something like along those lines. I don't think this
(24:27):
guarantees Spider Man will pop up and Daredevil board again
season two. Uh, but you know, we could always hope
one day that it could happen again.
Speaker 2 (24:36):
I also I also love a scene like if they're
fighting together and Punisher goes for the kill shut spider
Man stops him.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
He goes, oh, I'm not another one.
Speaker 1 (24:47):
We know spider Man Brand New Day will come to
theaters July thirty first, twenty twenty six, which now means
it will open before Avengers Doomsday because that was supposed
to come out next year, but they kind of all
the movie dates moving around. We're just a okay, I
think Spider Man can carry the summer. It always can,
you know, the day before, did during the MCU and
will for the future.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
I guess also does this probably take place after season
two Dared Double two because it starts filming next next,
next summer.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
Right, it's filming now, so I don't know when that
means it will come out, because because remember they kind
of filmed it immediately as season one was coming out.
And obviously now knowing you know, Jessica Jones is Christen
test or whatever, Chris christ Christian Ritter is on set
that all right, we're seeing kind of a direction we're going.
(25:35):
It would be cool to get Vincent Andafio's Kingpin in
there too, or reference to Spider Man uh in Spider
Man either, or just to connect the dared double thing
to Spider Man more, because it would work the best
and all.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
There's an awesome Spider Man story and almost I'm just
gonna wax poetic and that will be an amazing Spider
Man five if now married of course is already gone unfortunately,
but let's just say Kingpin tries to kill Mary Jane
for some reason. There's an awesome comic where King Pip
has a head out on May I'll make us get shot,
(26:09):
doesn't die. Then Peter goes to the to the prison
where Kingpin is not a Spider Man, just just Peter.
It beats the living crap out of Kingpin to let
them know, like you're not dealing with Spider Man, dealing
with Peter Parker, puk a mask one, I have an obligation.
Speaker 1 (26:25):
Mask mask off, mask off. Eric in Chat says if
they mess around too much, Spider Man might end up
being like Civil War super stacked don a Venders Marvel movie.
I hope Marvel's learned its lesson if we need a
little bit of a break for Spider Man with the
team ups and more of this is just more world building. Obviously,
(26:46):
Sadie Singh's character is up in the air with that
could be obviously we know who Punisher is, but I
think it will be a little bit more of a
more than a glorified cameo like what Matt Murdoch, So
it'll be maybe like ten minutes of potnish.
Speaker 3 (27:00):
Well outside of it. That could be the point, because
right now we have.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
One Avengers team that we know of and one that's
kind of off screen apparently but as Sam is leading,
but there's no Avengers leader. There could be the point
of showing like the only particularly the Avengers right now
is Spider Man.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
Yeah, if I think Punisher probably isn't the character you're like, oh,
we're gonna set the Avengers.
Speaker 3 (27:21):
You know.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
I think Barry frank Castle, that character is like I
don't want to part no team, I work alone.
Speaker 3 (27:27):
I want That's the other thing too. How do they
PG thirteen Punishers fighting style?
Speaker 1 (27:31):
That is true. I'm I don't remember if any of
the Punisher movies or PEG. I think they're all rated R.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
I think I'll look real quick.
Speaker 1 (27:41):
I don't remember, but yeah, I mean it just depends.
PG thirteen is a very loose term when it comes
to action. So if it happens off screen, that's it.
Or Spider Man breaks it up with Webbs, you.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
Know, shooting him people point blank in the face with
a shotgun.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
That's like, that's off screen. Though, You're fine, You're fine,
it's off screen.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
It's fine.
Speaker 1 (27:58):
It's fine. If it's a bomb in a room, that's fine.
That's different.
Speaker 3 (28:01):
Punis sure. War Zone was rated.
Speaker 1 (28:03):
That definitely was rated R for sure, That yes, rated R.
And another one Thomas Jane, right, Thomas Jane, Yeah, let's
see here, which is I think a lot of people watch.
Kevin Nash was a villain in that one.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
He was, You're right, I forgot about it.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
John Travolta was also the villain.
Speaker 3 (28:21):
For some reason, this was rated as well.
Speaker 1 (28:26):
Okay, yeah, we'll see, but it is cool just to
have punish shirt, just to have one of the street
level heroes in the proper movie side of the MCU.
But talking about street level heroes, Kevin, we have to
talk about a certain one that she's not really street
level sort of kind of. I don't know, because going
(28:47):
in a certain direction. Who knows. It's time to talk
about Ironheart because it comes out this week and we
need to just establish what the hell is going on
with the show, what to expect with this show when
it comes out with thirt three episodes this week and
it's back three next week.
Speaker 2 (29:01):
A lot of people are saying that's a bad sign.
I don't know if it's a bad sign or a
new strategy that's way for the next Daisy Plus show,
Like if wonder Man's least the same way, then maybe
it's a new strategy, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
Well, it is interesting because just a quick google iron Heart,
when you google it, it's labeled as a mini series
versus a normal series. And I know that's a whole
debate over streaming. The streaming world of what's a series
versus a mini series like that? When shows like Keno
we have six episodes and that's it, you know, or
or something like Daredevil has ten episodes. What's the difference there.
(29:35):
I don't care what anyone says. I love it. But
we know iron Heart has been created by Chinaka Hodge
for The Street for Disney. Plus obviously we know Ryan
Coogler's I think more of an executive producer than an
actual producer for this movie as far as I can
as for the show, as far as I can tell,
right keV.
Speaker 2 (29:54):
He probably got his hands dirty a little bit to
kind of like give them God and how to? I
think interests a character in Black Panther two, but I'm
pretty sure he wasn't on the ground every.
Speaker 3 (30:03):
Day with the show.
Speaker 1 (30:04):
Yeah, and then we know Dominique Thorne, she will be
back as Reby Williams and Ironheart. Remember from Wakanda Forever,
which I know's it is. It's not really a slog
to get through. It's just very emotional to get through,
so you don't really want to. It's a bummer of
a movie more than anything.
Speaker 2 (30:21):
I say it all the time. We have loved ones
that passed and we go to the funerals. We don't
joy going to the funerals, but we do it because
we have to.
Speaker 1 (30:26):
Yeah, not really as soon as you did it, you
don't want to relive it every time. It's a sad thing.
Remember in that she was introduced kind of we kind
of said as a mcguffin to a degree of she uh.
I forget what the whole whole point of that plot was,
but she was brought in though. Yeah, keV, you got it,
you got.
Speaker 2 (30:44):
She creates a device I can check detect vibranium, and
the government wants it. At the same time, the people
in Bustin, the Morans what they call title cons they
are aware this thing. The don't want it around, so
they destroy it and they want to kidnap her and
kill her because she's the only person I can do it.
And also, if you read the original script of Black
Panther before the passing of Travick Boseman, she basically took
(31:05):
the place of what his kid was going to because
the original script it was going to be him and
his son going on like like a world adventure, running
running in from from people from Talakhan. I think she
she eventually just replaced what his son.
Speaker 3 (31:16):
Was going to be. M M.
Speaker 1 (31:18):
But you know, she did get the armor, which was
pretty much inspired right out of the comics of the
comics and everything. And at the end of the end
of the movie, she's allowed to keep the armor, I think,
right keV or they give it leave it cond because.
Speaker 2 (31:32):
You know what, again has my bradia minute. They don't
want to get an out there anybody. But yeah, vibranium
powered you know, iron Man basically yes. And then she
was an MIT student.
Speaker 1 (31:41):
She had sort of her own garage of a setup
which was then it was you know, the Talo Khans
and Wakanda's coming to the US. It was a whole
thing over that bridge. It was. It was a whole
big scene. Was fun, It was a good time.
Speaker 3 (31:52):
It was fun scene, fun music. Was a classic Ryan
Coogler MC you seen.
Speaker 1 (31:57):
But we know she will be obviously the mean one
on it's her series obviously, so should be coming back.
As far as that, not really anyone else is coming
from Waconda forever. As far as we know, at least
right now we know Anthony Anthony ramos H from Transformers
in Hamilton and all that stuff. He will be playing
the hood. We know Alden Aaron Reich as far as
(32:19):
we know right now, based before the show happens.
Speaker 4 (32:22):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
His title is Joe McGillicutty according to this IMDb sheet,
but he's definitely gonna be Obadiah Stayin's son or something
like that.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
Most like mcgilla cutty always liked to go through placeholder
for somebody's like, eh.
Speaker 1 (32:35):
People, it doesn't matter, people don't care.
Speaker 3 (32:39):
I forgot who I can't was. It was it Bray Wyatt.
But there was somebody in the next is back in
the day.
Speaker 1 (32:44):
Their name was mcgilla cutty, Michael mcgilli cutty. It was
Kurt Axel's son. Was Curis Axel was Kurt heading son,
but he was Michael McGillicutty at first mcgilla Cutty.
Speaker 3 (32:54):
They asking name gilla cutty in the world like that, if.
Speaker 1 (32:57):
You're mcgilly cuddy, let us know. But that's kind of
what we know so far. We do know that really
will be kicked out of m I T. I think
is kind of what the vibes are with the first trailer,
just because Skip at school and she's kind of doing
her own thing and she will be going down a
path she shouldn't be going down. We typically not what
(33:17):
we see for the Avengers since really ant Man ant Man,
remember he started off as a as a master thief
and then got thrust it into being an ant man.
Is she will be getting teaming up with the Hood
as they go on sort of heist. They'll get her
new suits obviously, and then we assume the split will happen,
probably by the end of this third episode most likely.
Speaker 2 (33:39):
You know, I feel like this kind of feels like
the first Fest and the Furious movie, like open opening
part of it while they're stealing. They're stealing electronics, but
not like hurting anybody until the point where where are
we are hurting people?
Speaker 3 (33:52):
And that's not what I want to be And then
that's going to be the point for for the conflict.
This show is not getting.
Speaker 2 (34:03):
Good, buzz I want to say, Yes, everybody's kind of
always written it off as like which I think is unfair.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
Yeah, I think also you can't judge the show until
you see it, obviously it is. The show has been
kind of a victim of because one of the last
remnants of the Bob Chapek era, Kevin infinitely says where
it really was We're just get every movie and show
and video game are gonna be synergiestic, synergist or whatever
the word is.
Speaker 3 (34:28):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (34:28):
And you know a spinoff character will get a show,
then that show will connect to that next movie and
it's a whole cycle. Really, Wanta Vision Wanda Vision being
a good example of that, and you know this probably
not being the best example of that.
Speaker 2 (34:43):
And also the period of I don't care if it's goods,
get it out, get it out as fast as you can.
Doesn't need any development, We don't need showrunners, we don't
need actual.
Speaker 3 (34:52):
What's the word.
Speaker 2 (34:56):
We'll have a idea man's theory theory to get to
all connec all the things to everything, but just get
it out.
Speaker 3 (35:01):
I need to need that need to be out. Yeah,
that was the whole thing.
Speaker 1 (35:05):
So with this, this is like we said that era
Marvel shows and we've kind of heard the past couple
of weeks. You know, going forward the Disney plus shows,
they are gonna be more grounded heroes, kind of a
kid to daredevil punisher like that. Iron heard two degree
is grounded a little bit. We'll get to that in
a second. But you know, the show's been filmed forever ago,
(35:28):
and then it finally is coming out. It is coming
out a weird time because it is not really connecting
and anything. It just is out. You know, it's doing
its own thing, but is.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
Also I go say, maybe a new strategy for them
as well as like they're still going to release playing
Marvel television shows, but it was gonna be standalone shows.
It's not going to be like, you know, the end
credit to Fantastic four two is going to lead to
the Human Torch and six episodes of that. It's not
gonna be anymore gonna be Okay, that's the movies and
that's the shows. They're in the same world. They're not
(35:59):
going to be around the same time. We're just telling
the same story. Yeah, I mean, I'm more connected by
less connected version of the Netflix series. They won't say
the big green guy, the Man of the Hammer, don't
just say thorn and in the Hulk because that's who
they are.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
Yeah. But as of that, that's pretty much the ins
and outs of the show. Now we get sort of
really the predictions wise, what we think might happen. You know,
we have six episodes, three this week, three next week. Uh.
The episode titles are take me home? Will a real
Natalie please stand up? In the third episode being we
in Danger Girl and the back three being Bad Magic
(36:33):
Karma's the glitch in the past is the past which
come out the first week of July. Wonder where we're
going there, Kevin? Is this finally the show we get
Mephisto and after all this time five years later?
Speaker 2 (36:50):
I hope not only because I don't want my Fisto
to be like dark Plages at the end of Wars
BacT like, m Yeah, I don't want him to be
like that. I wanted to actually be like because Fisto
is a problem, Like he's a little legit problem. He
needs his own focused narrative that's just like it was
me the old time. And then create a black I hope.
Speaker 3 (37:11):
I hope.
Speaker 2 (37:12):
I first want to hope you don't get any Mephisto,
And I mean, I don't mind that what's his name
the goddess playing the bad guy in this Anthony Ramos,
Anthony Ramos character of the Hood, I don't a lot
of I mightn't have have Magic Ki be a Doc
Forsworth for all like here.
Speaker 1 (37:27):
He strange.
Speaker 3 (37:29):
Rather, I don't rather see Baron Morto Atisto. We haven't
seen him.
Speaker 1 (37:34):
Well, he's dead ten years this point. He got killed
off screen. We didn't We just didn't see it exactly.
Uh yeah, I think my fist is happening. I think
it is what Kevin doesn't want. But I think it's
gonna happen because for the longest time, Sasha Baron Cohen
has been rumored with this show and attached to this show.
Obviously they could pull fast one and it is you know,
(37:55):
he's just some random college professor or something like that,
because sas Americo does weird roles like that where it's nothing,
it's nothing like very like heavy, but it's very just
there for a light roll. But I think if you're
gonna do it, just do it, and that that kind
of is the end of this era of Disney. Plus
you know, we're like.
Speaker 3 (38:15):
That connects to that.
Speaker 1 (38:16):
It's gotta be that boo boop is you do that.
And I think it is very gonna be akin to
Nol in Venom three, where Nol is just there and
then Noel at the end of that movie spoilers you
never gonna see it. It's like, all right, I'll do it.
But it's like the Thanos thing, We're fine, I'll do
it myself, and You're like, oh right, I really don't care. No,
(38:37):
I think it's gonna be saying a pisto.
Speaker 3 (38:40):
That that whole final what ten minutes have been just
disappointment of disappointment.
Speaker 1 (38:47):
It was bad, not the best, and then they had
to see you again. Montage was like, I just saw
these movies.
Speaker 3 (38:56):
I'm still here. I'm not ready to be nostalgic.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
It does make sense. But any other predictions, keV you
got for the show, Memphisto was kind of the big one.
Any other big ones you got, I'm.
Speaker 3 (39:08):
Holding out in my heart of hearts that we actually
get a road e siting.
Speaker 1 (39:12):
If anything, that's probably the last episode. He takes her
under a wing or something like that.
Speaker 2 (39:16):
I don't even be war machine. But don Cheetah walking
on the screen like, okay, you have you have this.
Let me sure you how to actually use this for good. Yeah,
it kind of sucks because Spider Man far no way home,
no way home, no way home. I believe he has
set up this whole Tony Stark armor fabrication armor storyline
five years ago and it just got lost in the shuffle.
(39:37):
And I think there was a there could have been
really good chunk of movies and New York TV shows
that could have been devoted to that, because still it
kind of a stark teket's a big problem to just
be out there. Nobody's controlling it. I know they had
the Armor wre show planned. It's gonna be a movie.
Now it's just like we don't know what it's gonna
because nobodys talking about it.
Speaker 1 (39:52):
But are we doing special presentations anymore?
Speaker 2 (39:56):
There are a few unnamed movies on account for Marvel
in the next two years, so I mean, maybe that
could be one of them. I'm still kind of holding
my hope for it, just me being hopeful.
Speaker 3 (40:05):
So this is I don't.
Speaker 1 (40:07):
I do think you're right, though. I think if anything,
if you connect this to anything else Roady in Armour
Wars or whatever, that future looks like. It's probably the
easiest thing because, let's face it, every Avenger or main
Avenger team has the main hero and a sidekick. Now
to a degree. I mean, you got Captain a Falcon,
there's always a cabin of Falcon. Spider Man was, you know,
(40:29):
Ironman's sidekick to a degree. Obviously, Spidery's had Spidy and
all that stuff. But I think that's kind of the
way I was Captain Marvel, Miss Marvel and in Spectrum
and all that good stuff that is that past like
four years of Disney plus. I think that might be
the same thing here. I think obviously having Rody replacing
the role that a Tony Stark would just because MCU
(40:51):
Tony Stark is dead.
Speaker 3 (40:54):
Like just puts in chat, job, puts in the chat.
Speaker 2 (40:57):
Last time I saw Roady was take an invasion because
the whole time we used to withot we seeing Rody,
it was a scrawl.
Speaker 3 (41:02):
So I mean, do you do you want to just
have that? Okay, we're done with the whole squawl things done.
This is real Roady.
Speaker 2 (41:07):
Everything's fine now. Never one to Fantastic four, you know
what I mean? Yeah, had all waves go for it.
Speaker 1 (41:11):
Yeah, and who knows, this could be just the send
off we get. Yeah, Thor has his daughter. I mean,
the Guardians have the New Guardians two degree, but that's
a team that's a little bit a little bit different.
Doctor Strange had America Chaves to a degree and then whatever,
what hell was it?
Speaker 4 (41:30):
What?
Speaker 3 (41:31):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (41:31):
Charlotte Wolverine Dipple, Charlie Stone was popped up in Doctor
Strange to remember at the very end, Hey.
Speaker 2 (41:36):
Let's go FROMO okay, okay, let's go all right, that's it,
so like that's the path we're kind of go on.
Speaker 1 (41:42):
So I would expect that, maybe just to make the
most sense of you know, she's got out of the rut.
Now we're gonna get on the path of being a
hero like that.
Speaker 3 (41:50):
I wouldn't expect.
Speaker 2 (41:51):
I wouldn't be surprised to see another member of either
Door Mala or even Shory show up to be like, hey,
what are you doing?
Speaker 3 (41:59):
Sure?
Speaker 1 (41:59):
I mean, Surry would be a good get to It
just depends how much they want to keep tying Ironheart
into Black Panther. So I feel like Black Panther can
kind of do its own thing, and people like that
is a separate world of Marvel that everyone's one hundred
percent in for Ride or Die, whereas everything else is
kind of maybe I'll watch that, maybe I won't watch that.
Speaker 3 (42:17):
Yeah, it's it's just it wouldn't be Wakanda.
Speaker 2 (42:21):
If even though they let her go out of Wakanda, there's.
Speaker 1 (42:25):
Not a door Milagi, a bald lady behind your track.
Speaker 2 (42:28):
This wouldn't be Wakanda and not somebody's still watching it,
that's all. It could be Ao because she was she
was in a couple of TV shows since then they
talked doing this thing, so it could be could be Ao.
I don't know, but Wakanda, Wakanda dangs fine on somebody.
Speaker 1 (42:42):
And remember at one point we were going another out
of Wakanda forever we were supposed to get was it
Midnight Angel or what the hell was it? Oh yeah,
Angels with with with uh Okoye and I think her
name was Yeah. And essentially I Ao was gonna Midnight Angels,
That's yeah. It was gonna tie into that too, just
because like, oh, these are main three you know, dormology
(43:04):
we like, and now they're on their own arc of
their own.
Speaker 3 (43:08):
That could tie in too.
Speaker 1 (43:09):
I mean we're not they're not doing that show anymore,
so they could just take the bits and pieces. And
maybe that's what you came into Armour wards is here
is your favorite dormologic characters that you know we're doing
some things with. We got iron Hard and we got Roadie.
Let's make a bit, you know, let's have a good
show or movie or whatever too.
Speaker 2 (43:29):
Like my expetition for the show, Like, I don't think
this will be the best thing Marble's ever done once
it's all said and done. Like my ceiling right now
for the show is Moonnight.
Speaker 1 (43:37):
Oh all right, yeah that is good. Let's look at
let's actually that's good to that before we actually watched
this show this week, Kevin, let me go to the
MCU rankings in two weeks, we'll add this in there.
Let's see this all we go to the crisis MCU interview.
All right, so our top ten is they won't crack
the top ten for sure. It'll be Endgame, Infinity War,
(43:58):
no way Home Civil War when Soldier Black Panther, Guardians
one for Ragnarrock, Avengers one, Guardians Volume three, uh Wakana
forever iron Man. That's your top twelve. Sorry I went
to twelve. I think you are right, like this is
gonna fall and end along the lines of in our
ranking Echo she Hulk probably around that range in their
(44:21):
secret I think it will be above Secret Invasion hopefully
because Secret Invasions at the bar Low. But this will
be a lower tier in our Marvel list.
Speaker 2 (44:30):
Like I could totally see this being around thirty on
a dot literally of the forty fifty things that's done.
This is the thirtieth best thing. They That doesn't mean
it's terrible, doesn't.
Speaker 1 (44:40):
Mean yeah, it's still marvel baby.
Speaker 2 (44:43):
Yeah, exactly. So I could totally see it being there too.
Definitely be Like I said, that better better than Invasion.
Speaker 3 (44:50):
It was better than Echo. But I also contend Echo
wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be.
Speaker 1 (44:54):
That's true, it did it. At the end, it got
a lot better. You're like, oh, I kind of like this,
it's really cool, really cool. Yeah, I think at the
end of the day, you know, this is just pre
judging it. But you gotta make your real decisions when
the show actually comes out, and that's what you can
make your verdict, which is why we're doing reviews next
week and the week after or this week and then
the week after. So don't worry about that.
Speaker 3 (45:15):
Already.
Speaker 2 (45:15):
Like over the New Nonsense takes after what month tomorrow
Tuesday show comes out, people go this marble shoving up.
Speaker 1 (45:26):
Down the world like this is half the story. Wait
till the next week story, and then you can make
the judgment. It's only two weeks. You can make it.
You can make it. You can wait.
Speaker 2 (45:33):
It's just a TV show. Nobody, nobody affronted you. People
take TV shows? Wait two serious, they really do. I
don't know how to stand way when it started. It's terrible.
They wasted my.
Speaker 1 (45:43):
Time, like you chose to watch to make you you
choose to watch it, that's on you. But Kevin, I
think we're good talking about Ironheart right now. But yes,
tend this podcast. We're gonna give Kevin a secret delight
because we didn't do a full breakdown of this trailer
when it came out last week rememb about eight days
ago as of this podcast recording. So we're gonna go
(46:05):
on over to Reaction Theater and break down the trailer
for Naked Guns. So we both saw this on our
own and I think we just were like, oh, yeah,
we're good. We don't need, we don't need to talk
about but you know what, Kevin talked about it so
much on just us talking with each other that we're
(46:27):
gonna talk about it. So, Kevin, Naked Gun twenty twenty five,
give us your quick run low or down low on
it before we watched the trailer.
Speaker 2 (46:37):
It is produced by Like Lonely Island and Seth MacFarlane,
directed by Josh it was directed or written by Josh
Gad and it's starring, uh the Nielsen's starring. I'm gonna
say it right now, I can't remember his name, Liam Neeson,
Liam Neeson as Leslie Gills. That's not gonna do is
Nison and Nielsen was fighting them brain Leslie. Liam Neeson
(46:58):
started as the characterless Neilson play Frank Dreben. It be
good old comedy to come back to the theater this
summer is really exciting.
Speaker 3 (47:05):
Uh So.
Speaker 1 (47:06):
Originally at one point Ed Helms was supposed to be
Liam Neeson's character, and I think they went with the
right move and making Liam Neeson the main character. Akiva
Schaeffer from Lonely Island, he's the main director. He kept
said he was an SNL writer's been in a bunch
of stuff, and yes, you're right. And Seth McFarlane is
(47:27):
producing this movie. So let that tell you how Liam
Neeson is in this movie and probably a lot of
other actors you've seen in Family Guy Folks. Sure oddly
greatly enough, the movie filmed in about a month last year,
so this it really only took a year for it
to get finished before it's actually coming out on August first,
twenty twenty five, Like Kevin, are you ready to watch it?
(47:52):
Do it all right? Here we go three two one
a play. I always love a prank trailer, trailer, I
always love it.
Speaker 4 (48:04):
Once you kill a man for the venge, there's not
going back. Here is a voice in your head saying
over and over that was awesome?
Speaker 3 (48:18):
Are you driven?
Speaker 4 (48:20):
Detective Frank Dregnan?
Speaker 1 (48:22):
Thanks? What has always been the elite of the elite.
Speaker 3 (48:28):
Hy daddy.
Speaker 4 (48:28):
It's me Frank Junior. Love you, hey, dad boy?
Speaker 3 (48:32):
Do I miss you?
Speaker 1 (48:36):
M h.
Speaker 3 (48:38):
And you, Frank, are the best of the best.
Speaker 1 (48:42):
Bathroom I need this one, all right. We're doing a
bathroom five.
Speaker 3 (48:50):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 4 (48:54):
Another suitor.
Speaker 1 (48:57):
Over here, Lieutenant, I think someone murdered my brother.
Speaker 4 (49:00):
Please take a chair.
Speaker 1 (49:01):
Thank you. I'll find them.
Speaker 4 (49:07):
This is what I do, says you served years for
man's laughter.
Speaker 3 (49:11):
You mean man slaughter must have been quite a joke.
They're going to shut down. Please hold this case.
Speaker 1 (49:20):
Do this by the book, Cuddy Roads, Why arrest me?
Speaker 3 (49:26):
Other cops? Yes? Serious?
Speaker 1 (49:28):
Is he serious? It seems this driving might be more
of a problem than we saw.
Speaker 3 (49:36):
And what did you keep an eye on him?
Speaker 4 (49:37):
Is that guy?
Speaker 1 (49:40):
That's the part we probably okay, we can shouting.
Speaker 4 (49:50):
Rest assured. I won't stop them.
Speaker 1 (49:54):
Know, man, what do you want little one? We saw
this part. You're as.
Speaker 4 (50:06):
Nobody messes.
Speaker 1 (50:08):
Please squad, We've upgraded your car with the most advanced
crime fighting check.
Speaker 4 (50:15):
Drive forward thirty feet pretty smooth.
Speaker 1 (50:23):
This place is falling apart. Yeah, I'm down for it.
I mean, we were down for with the teaser trailer.
Speaker 2 (50:31):
So yeah, I'm just happy that we have we have
just stupid comedies coming back to to I'm just happy
that Liam Neeson is signed on for this.
Speaker 1 (50:41):
You know, he's just like, I'm gonna have a good time.
Except as far as my producer, I'm good.
Speaker 2 (50:45):
I mean we saw them interact a lot in Ted
first Ted two or Ted one, one of the tens,
and then also, I mean they've done me and Waves
Down the West wasn't the greatest movie, but it's still
pretty fun.
Speaker 3 (50:57):
Yeah, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (50:58):
And I'm really excited. Think it's one of my favorite
franchises of all time. This is another of this movie
called spyhart Iss Hilarious, and another one called I'm Wrongfully Accused,
And like those five movies are like I'm down.
Speaker 3 (51:13):
I could put on anyone's movies out. Okay, ain't that bad?
Speaker 1 (51:19):
So this is technically, Kevin what the fourth Naked Gun
movie now technically in twenty twenty five, the first one
in eighty eight, ninety one and ninety four, so literally
thirty one years since the last Naked Gun movie, and
I'm hyped. I think I believe they're all on Paramount
Plus right now. So if you did want to watch
them and see what you're in store for, because I
(51:41):
don't think it's going to tread on some of those jokes,
because some of those called a loaded at the time,
probably not in the nineties. Check that out on Paramount
Plus for sure too.
Speaker 2 (51:50):
Some of the jokes are just just dumb funny, Like
there's a one joke in the first one where he's
doing like the detective narrating thing in his mind, so
it's like, who is it?
Speaker 3 (52:01):
Whoever it is?
Speaker 4 (52:02):
He?
Speaker 3 (52:02):
He looks around, he's the Jungles like, and where the
hell was I It's really funny.
Speaker 2 (52:10):
It's Naked Gun Naked Gun twenty two in a second
and Naked Gun thirty three and the third.
Speaker 3 (52:13):
Because everything has to be bigger, ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (52:16):
And Kevin Durant is the villain. No, not the player
that got traded to the Rockets today, Kevin Durant. He
most recently was it was in Kingdom of the Plan
of the Apes, and he was one of the He
was like the king Ape. Most recently this is off. Yes,
what a lovely guy. And he was also is an Abigail,
which is that's a fun vampire movie. Don't sleep on
(52:37):
that one, especially for folloween this year folloween.
Speaker 3 (52:40):
Yeah, this is gonna be a fun time. This movie
isn't gonna make.
Speaker 1 (52:46):
It, could know, Kevin. Here's the thing. It could because
everyone in their mother's gonna see Fantastic Four the week before.
But then, hey, all right, I've seen all the superhero movies.
Give me something funny instead, and.
Speaker 2 (52:58):
We just see like like like the the older generations,
they come out and support is because I mean, if
you were if you're eighteen and nineteen eighty eight, shoot,
you're almost fifty something at this point, right, do.
Speaker 1 (53:09):
You're taking your grandkids to go see this movie?
Speaker 3 (53:11):
Exactly? This is crazy. You're ready to be grown Like
in the twenties.
Speaker 1 (53:17):
They've definitely seen those movies like Final go see it again. Yeah, Yeah,
I'm excited too. I think it's it's always good to
have a movie like that. And we've kind of talked
about this podcast. We're back kind of re entering the
era of parody movies and this kind of really being
the real start of it. Next year we're getting, you know,
a scary movie in a couple other movies too that
(53:38):
are like those those parody movies. But I think if
we don't overdo it like we did last time, where
we're like, all right, these are all just directed DVDs,
the scare liton.
Speaker 2 (53:46):
Thing makes sense though, because there's been a world of
horror since scary movies. We've had like a whole different
era of horror come through with the Saw movies and
what else.
Speaker 1 (53:55):
But what was the one Annabelle. We've had the hot
the conjurings, paranormal activity. Yeah, and I know a Scary
Movie five or whatever did do that and then no
one really watched it. Then they had a haunting a
Haunted House, which was like another one. There was like
the same cast a Scary Movie five, and it was
like this doesn't make sense, but nothing that really like
(54:16):
in Annabelle or like we've had s and l skits,
But I mean, this movie making fun of Spirit Halloween
taking over a police station that's going out of business,
like that's that's the stuff we need, that's the good stuff.
Speaker 2 (54:28):
It's perfect his own point, and for some reason, Cody
Road is in it. I want to know what Cody
Road is doing in this movie and what he did
to his nose if he gets a fix like that
was crazy? But any other thoughts, keV, I wait, can't
wait to hope get scenes with you have the screening
because I want to.
Speaker 1 (54:43):
I will keep it locked for the the screening email,
and you will be the first one to know before
anyone else that when it happens, Hopefully it's not the
same night as Fantastic For. It's all I'm saying. I'm sorry,
boy will Fantastic For instead of this.
Speaker 3 (54:59):
Sorry Frank driving, I gotta go, I'll see you later.
Speaker 1 (55:01):
I'll see you later. But let us know your thoughts
about Naked Gun, the twenty twenty five version of it
or the original series of movies as well. And you know,
are you hype Friarnhart that comes out Wednesday? We most
likely will be recorded on Thursday, just to give us
time to watch the first three episodes, because I don't
know how long they're going to be for thirty minutes
or sixty minutes or anywhere in between. Is Disney plus
(55:24):
it could be anything. You know it'll be forty eight.
Speaker 3 (55:28):
It's like we wanna be twenty seven if everyone will
be twenty four.
Speaker 1 (55:31):
And I don't like that, Kevin, I don't like that, man,
But let us all know all that good stuff at
Infinite Underscore Pods on the Instagram ordiax go and give
it to you. You also can keep it locked to
twitch dot tv or YouTube dot com Slash Infinite Underscore
Pods as well. We had a great debate today about
Taco bell and gas station foods and who would have
(55:51):
thought that would have been some of the most rivitating
conversations on this poods. This is simple things we all
can relate. Eat down a gas station. Unfortunately, you're like,
I gotta eat here. We BUCkies changed this, BUCkies will
change this. It's now or never now something that's true.
But as always, my name is Hoodie and you've officially
(56:13):
listened to this Frank Drabonfield episode of What Cavs on
ca
