Speaker 1 (00:09):
Welcome back to the early news you need to know
throughout the week on iHeart Radio and bad Cash services
around the world. Because my name is nice Tan Hoodie
and I am surviving.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Kevin and you're officially listening to this Thursday Nintendo Field
episode What keV.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Crisis odd Infinite odd co. I forgot it was middle
of the week. I think I'll work yesterday, so now
I realize that the whole day.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
Well, Kevin, you know that's what happens. It is what happens.
Speaker 3 (00:44):
It's the world.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
Okay, Well, Kevin got real dark there, But we got
a jam packed show for you today because we are
breaking down all the news surrounding the Nintendo switch to
in that direct as in the title and thumbnail this podcast,
we're talking about Spider Man movies coming to a theater
near you with CinemaCon, we got a new show for
Star Wars, and and the end of episode Daredevil Born
(01:08):
Again episode seven the breakdown as well. But you see
everything we're gonna talk about today and so much more
by going to at infinite underscore bids on the Instagram
or reactually go and give it to you or Kevin.
Where can they go to see us? In beautiful video formats.
We're both adjusting each other because our discord is messed up.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
Discorders on some stuff. Right now. We can go to
YouTube dot com slash Infinite Underscore Pods to watch us
on demand as your own leisure, or to watch us
live and go twitch dot tv slash if Underscore Pods
twice a week, join a chat and join the fun
with your boys in twitch chat. And one of these
days we'll figure out how much your discord too. I
don't know how to do that.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Well, we can. It's just it's a lot of formatting,
that's all it really. It's mostly formatting more than anything.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
Basically like codings. It's like a part time job.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
It's really just let me get into that matrix, baby,
and then I will figure it out.
Speaker 3 (02:01):
Cire it out.
Speaker 1 (02:02):
Uh one, Yeah, I am the one. But Kevin, as
you're adjusting me because there's a black bar above me, baby,
I don't know whether there's the black bar. We always
start the podcast properly with something we like to call
what You Doing, where we talk about the shows and movies.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
We've been watching, games, we've been playing, lives, we've been
living and because it is Thursday and Kevin's currently.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
Doing something right now, Yo, boy gets the go first.
I'm more okay, shut up, leave me alone, stop bothering me,
stop calling. I'm excited because Awesome Con is this weekend,
and I'm excited. More is going. I'm going. I'm trying
to convince her to do a little last minute cosplay thing,
but I don't think it's gonna happen just because it's
(02:49):
a little two last minute y. But yeah, boy hopefully
has some options to cosplay this year. We're going Saturday.
I know this year is very big Lord of the
Rings themed with a lot of the Castle Lord of
the Rings the Bloom. I know Simon Pegg and Nick
Frost are going as well, and we talked about Nick
Frost potentially being the new Hagrid, so that's to kind
of maybe get some insider questions there. This weekend be
(03:13):
really good and I know a good number of the
OG cast for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will also be
out and about at Awesome Con this weekend. So a
fun time overall.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
Had by all. I love I love the Turtles, Like
I always say, it's one of the only frenchiss who
no matter what generation you are, you have your turtles.
That is true, really really.
Speaker 1 (03:34):
Cool, and these are mainly if you were a child
of the eighties and nineties. I think those turtles, not
the new ones that just happened.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
I think Turtles three was ninety like three or four.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Sure couldn't tell you watched them all because they're all
all time on like the rec Center TV, Like, oh
we got turtles, let's put that on all right.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
I'm more of a fan of the turtle toys because
they had a turtle furle for all jobs.
Speaker 1 (04:00):
That's true, pizza chef, turtle, yeah, everything. Catch you out
your local thirst store. Here's all the turtles no one
wanted and toys now they're worth a million. But yeah,
I know any drugon the chest at any autographs this year.
Last year, infamously, brother John and I and Maura waited
all day for Rosario Dawson to sign John's lego ship
(04:24):
and then John and I left more in line so
we go take a photo of Haygen Christen. We're not
doing that this year, I said, more. You know what,
I'm gonna treat yourself. You're get you get three hours,
set off some con and then if you want to stay,
we could stay. That's it.
Speaker 3 (04:39):
It's nice of you. I knew once you add that
last year, I'm like, oh, yeah, they'll be together forever.
Now she's willing to do that, even if they're married
or with their their their spouse for a long time,
like now doing that more day one.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
Yeah, but excited for that. And as far as why wise,
Drastic World camp quotatious on season three already, So yeah,
how do you feel about it? It's it's pretty good.
Season three is definitely like a jump in animation style.
I don't know if that like the studio found out
what was doing or Netflix gave it more budget, but
(05:19):
it is fun and it is I guess three is
definitely a lot closer to Drastic World Fallen Kingdom. I think, right, yeah,
the World movies confused me with the name means like,
oh sure, I guess that's what that means. That's what
was Dominion, Yes, Dominion, which I know Drassic World, Chaos
(05:40):
Theory aka the Star Wars rebels of these shows. Uh,
Season two comes out I think this week. Yeah, it
really is, and it's like ten years later after the
snake survived the island and all this is ish, But
I'm excited. Uh, it's been fun. I think Ben's kind
of m VP right right now, oddly enough, And these
(06:02):
are characters on the show. I think it's Sammy. She's
like the cattle girl. Yeah, I don't like her.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
She's been much.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
She seems very we were gonna go one direction with
this show and be very more kid leaning of like,
here's just these characters that say these annoying things. She's
got twaying, y'all. It's like, okay, we get it. Also,
she looks differently animated than all the other characters for
some like she looks different like however other character looks
(06:32):
like less details the cheeks everybody else.
Speaker 3 (06:34):
Everybody else has like, you know, the slim features. She
has cheeks because Texas. And she's a full figure gown,
you know.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
But yeah, I'm excited. And uh, this Bumpies Bumpy is
the goat. I'll say that has a Mormon watching it
with you. Maura's not watching. I thought you said the Mormon.
I was like, Mormon. What I know is watching the show.
Maura's not watching is my personal show. But she has
seen and heard many times the t recks every time
the show starts.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
I was gonna ask about to ask your your opinion
of it. Did you think they killed a kid? And
season one.
Speaker 1 (07:12):
Technically and I know I know it's coming again because
I read a dis guy because like, wait, I remember
this being on TikTok like last year or something, so yeah,
Ben almost died, but then spoiler uh. And then season
two they're like, here's these adults that they're like, oh, like, oh,
these these are real mean, but it is weird. They
kind of pick and shoes, like we'll show dinosaur deaths,
(07:35):
but we will show human deaths on this show.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
Off.
Speaker 1 (07:39):
Yeah, it's like, oh, he's gone, but the rope is bloody.
Speaker 3 (07:44):
I remember when first season came out, all the reviews
online were like, oh my gosh, I thought they killed
the kid and the kids show.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
But it definitely like all Clone Wars. Once it's figured out,
it's footing, it's pretty. It's it's on the lines of
like a not it's not Stranger Things levels, but it
is like if you like Stranger Things, you're like, and
you like dinosaurs, you like this show.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
Actually, you're right, it's kind of dinosaurs train of things
and a lot lighter and not as much cursing.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
Instead of you know, supernatural powers. It's dinosaurs instead.
Speaker 3 (08:14):
How don't you liked to I'm happy with just me
and my sister and my wife.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
And now likes it now too slowly, slowly we can
have a viewing party show. But Kevin, what have you
been doing? Good sir? And what are you excited for
right now?
Speaker 3 (08:28):
I'm excited for rustle Mania less than a week and
a half.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
That's next week. That's in two weeks. Two weeks, okay,
two weeks yea.
Speaker 3 (08:36):
And that's also my birthday weekend, so I'm taking taking
the weekend off from work so able to you know,
react and recover from it. I'm thinking about maybe, and
you have an obligation to do the kind of you'll
be busy, but maybe doing a live watching along with
the second night. I'm not entirely sure yet.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
I will not be here fortunately, so that is wholeheartedly
up to you if you want to do that. But
also I am banned from doing any more wrestling watch
alongs because you can go to the archives YouTube dot
com slashing on the square pots and see hood he
get blackout drunk during Row Rubble twenty twenty two, twenty
three something like that.
Speaker 3 (09:15):
Yeah, the last one yeah, whatever it was. Yeah hoo,
do you got a little saucy.
Speaker 1 (09:21):
It's all good, a little saucy, a lot of saucy.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
So I'm thinking about doing that because I forgot this
year that there's night two falls on the Easter, so
night one I probably gonn watch with my cousin, trying
to try to find a bar to hook up at
and watch it in the barn.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
To meet up at, not to hook up at, to
meet up. Kevin, you have had some slips already.
Speaker 3 (09:44):
In this podcast, but Night She was gonna be hard
to do because again, the eastern nights of people do
a lot of family stuff. So I'm watching with my friend.
My friend did digitally so to speak. Other than that,
also planned w B two K twenty five got really
into my rise mode. I picked my team to go
against the NXC mutiny. I got a buttline with me,
(10:08):
so I'm pretty good about that. Got Jimmy Jay, and I.
Speaker 1 (10:11):
Did finish it. It is very This year's My Rise
is very kin to the old Road to WrestleManias of
old worse quick shots, quick shots. We're not wasting your
time here like the old my rises that you get
bored of. Real quick.
Speaker 3 (10:25):
Which one was the one what year it was? But
I remember one of them ended like it was ten
years into the future.
Speaker 1 (10:30):
Joe had a metal off that was like twenty two
or something. But there is Kevin this before warn you
I did pick a side. Don't pick this spoil for you.
But you can recruit at one point, you can recruit
old my Player, my Rise characters from the past, and
so they essentially give you what the default character would
(10:53):
look like for like one of them is Trey one
of them, Like all these characters they could have on
your team, which is kind of cool.
Speaker 3 (10:59):
That's kind of cool, kind of and didn't have known
it for a while because like Cold still in the game,
I can't remember the name of the character that La
Night voices. He's in this game too, so I like
give him love to that. Also, still playing the Assassin's
Creed a little bit. I'm at the point now where
I'm having fun with it, but it's so much to
do and I get exiety internal.
Speaker 1 (11:18):
So did you get all the sing points? Kevin? Did
you get all the sing points? Yet? No? One day
day and.
Speaker 3 (11:27):
Actually too now there there's a sing points from like
you know, the climb top of Tower and you sink up.
And there are also little Assassin's Creed you can buy
as well. Like assassin Us, you can buy Think Up
a kind of fast travel as well. But it's just
so much to do in that game. I don't want
to say it's bloke because everything's kind of laid out
for you. I know where to go, I don't know
where where I want to start. Let's get excited turn basically.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
Exactly.
Speaker 3 (11:55):
And I also attended Orioles opening opening day bridging on Monday.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
Man, what a time the sun was out. Didn't realize
that we're burnt now, baby.
Speaker 3 (12:07):
We we had adequate shade where we were. But the
DJ was playing as loud as he possibly could, and
it was just bad for your boy. I know, I
work in radio and I'm supposed to be like you know,
music and concerts and loud, but there's still a version
of something called too loud, and that DJ was way
too loud. And the worst part too one thing that
(12:31):
he was loud as the broadcast, you know, reached his
second hour with third dollar, fourth Flower.
Speaker 1 (12:36):
He was also a couple of drinks in at that time.
Speaker 3 (12:39):
And we know who he is. He knows our talent
so we're on air during our show and he's yelling
their talents name over the microphone.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
Case Males, boy, DJ, Case Males.
Speaker 3 (12:51):
I'm like, we're on the air, sir, we are on
the air. Man.
Speaker 1 (12:54):
It's called working with other people, you know.
Speaker 3 (12:57):
It was I'm gonna have to have like actually serious
meetings coming up. I'm like, we can't do that again,
because it's not a good look for the station to
have some drunk DJ yelling our talents name. By trying
to do it, hit.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
The mustard instead and people like that instead.
Speaker 3 (13:12):
Exactly. Unfortunately, I tried to make it over there to
where you guys.
Speaker 1 (13:16):
Were after the I was gone gone, crowd took me,
crowd had me.
Speaker 3 (13:22):
I pulled up and it was like anybody actually here.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
It was like an they said baseball now, because actually
I had.
Speaker 3 (13:30):
Your startled helmet that I got from Disney World for you.
I wanted to hand it to you, but unful I
missed you. So I was able to get it to
the promotion's department. That's gonna be pocs. They get it
to you for Friday.
Speaker 1 (13:41):
For Saturday, well, they're supposed to give it to my
boss boss Boss who works in Baltimore. So that'll be
an interesting conversation. But I will port back to your
what happens with that on Monday?
Speaker 3 (13:49):
Most likely it's funny. I don't work anymore, he says,
do it on nerdy crap like I thought. I ken
the exact.
Speaker 1 (13:58):
You never will you never will never.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
But that that's all I've been doing. You have another
you have another birthday particle to this weekend, and it's annoying.
It's that great with laws. I don't want to go,
I real don't want to go, but.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
You get your feet wet, Kevin, get your feet wet.
Speaker 3 (14:14):
I don't want to it's cold outside.
Speaker 1 (14:17):
I'm like it. I don't like it. Anything else. Well,
let's get on into it because it is time for
the news. Yeah. First things first, we have to break
down what happened at that Nintendo switch to Direct. So
(14:38):
let's break it down. So, in case you lived under
a rock today, there's the Nintendo switched to and it's
it was a lot, bubble, short, big sentence. It was
a lot, no matter how you looked at good and bad.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
I was like, actually annoyed during this entire time.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
I was in the meeting and I'm just texting you
you're in a group chaw of me, Eric and my brother.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
Must be nicest to watch it direct in the middle
of your work day.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
Good god, I'll tell you not my best work today.
So I was focused on this Nintendo Direct at nine
o'clock for a straight hour, solid hour of the day.
Speaker 3 (15:21):
I keep pulling it on my phone and like looking
at my text messages. I'm like, come back to emails.
I think it look an emails, an email, not text
message emails.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
It's okay, It's okay, you'll get to it later. As
long as you don't go on Twitter. You can just
tell OODI will tell you what you need to know.
That's it. It's like dang, I missed being in regular
but the main I guess quick hitters the headlines before
getting too some of the details. Obviously, we're not going
to cover everything because that would we'd be here for
an hour if we did that. We got other stuff
(15:48):
talking about. It's okay, we get what you need to know. Obviously,
the closer we get up to we'll give you more
info too. But Nintendo switch To will be launching June fifth,
twenty twenty five. So if you have a wedding that weekend,
like my brother and I have, you will not be
playing this console but June fifth. You know, it's perfect.
(16:09):
It's essentially E three's dead. Summer game Fest has lived on.
Now is that time where we're looking forward to video
games being in that video game bubble? You know what
I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (16:19):
Well, maybe maybe John has rich in laws and that's
going to be their gift to their new souce.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
Well, he did joke about me giving him money for
his honeymoon. We give him money for this. I'm like,
I don't think your wife's gonna appreciate that. But okay,
you're gonna in the backyard. Yeah. You know, with the
power of Nintendo Switch too, you can done even anywhere
you go. But so the pricing wise, Nintendo switched to
(16:45):
base model. There's mainly two skews, two versions. Technically two versions,
not really, it's one version in a bundle is going
to start at four hundred and forty nine dollars ninety
nine cents. That's just for the console itself. If you
want to buy it packed in with Marrio Kart World,
which will get to in a hot second, that'll be
for ninety nine ninety nine, which I highly recommend because
(17:05):
we found out video games on this console, well not
all of them, but the big heavy hitters will start
at eighty dollars. Why, yeah, I missed that one.
Speaker 3 (17:18):
So I saw most of stuff.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
I missed that one. Yeah, it's it's a little confusing,
which is why we're not going to talk about everything
because there's a bunch of Nintendo treehouses. The next couple
of days, I'll probably explain some things and that we'll
know by Monday, But right now we know Mario Kart World.
If you were to buy it separately, it would start
at eighty dollars. And that's just right now and Nintendo
(17:41):
Michael correct me. The digital version is eighty dollars. The
physical version of the game, Kevin ninety dollars.
Speaker 3 (17:50):
I say this for the game first. First, I'll say,
just for a reference, Twitch to first Switch longst at
two ninety nine. So it's a little the work expensive.
Speaker 1 (17:57):
Yes, makes sense, it's got more worls and twirls on it,
you know, But the fact.
Speaker 3 (18:02):
That it's called Mario Kart World, I feel like maybe
justified to eighty dollars price tag because maybe it's more
than just you know, racist one on a call of
tracks repeat, maybe it's well, yeah, a little more than that.
Speaker 1 (18:16):
So if you're watching the video version podcast, I have
sort of the trailer up. It's kind of the overview trailer,
so it's not everything specific. So we're kind of just
going off the cuff really. But if you remember, Tears
of the Kingdom was seventy dollars when a launch, and
we're like, all right, cool, that makes sense. It's a
big ass Nintendo game. We'll pay for it. We were
(18:36):
not ready for this eighty to ninety dollars price jump,
and if you live in the UK or anywhere else,
is a lot more expensive. But that's just pricing inflation,
you know what I'm saying. But off the cuffing is
if you want a Nintendo Switch, to buy this bundle
because you were saving thirty dollars instead of buying the
bund the game, the console and the game separately. So
(18:57):
if you can pre order it, pre orders we know
will go live April ninth, so about a week from today.
We'll probably talk about that next week too, if Hoodie
and if myself and my brother were lucky to do it,
because I'm trying to find out, Hey, game stop, you
still do the twenty bucks down. I can pay the
rest of it later, you know.
Speaker 3 (19:20):
Traditionally, usually Nintendo games usually are a little cheaper than
PS four and Xbox.
Speaker 1 (19:27):
This time Nintendo said, now we're setting the pace now.
Speaker 3 (19:31):
But at the same time people have been asking for this,
so ther is given what the people want to ask for.
They wanted a high quality system with better graphics and
better games. They give it to you now, so don't
complain about it.
Speaker 1 (19:43):
So the console kind of specifics itself. Obviously, we know
the joy Cons are magnetic. There is built in microphone
to a degree that this magical sea button we've kind
of wondered what it means. Is essentially a chat button,
so you can chat with other people. But it's Nintendo,
(20:03):
so it's real weird. It's not with a headset. It's
through the little microphone on your switch, so like, pretend
it's right here. Apparently it'll noise cancel. We'll find out
about that, but you can, like a Nintendo always does,
buy a camera instead and stream and stream to your
friends what you're doing instead.
Speaker 3 (20:24):
I'm wondering how that camera perfee is gonna work out,
because the one thing we thought would take off what
even last generation was a camera, gaming and v argument
like all that kind of stuff. I still feel like
it hasn't.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
Really it's very niche still, and I think this the camera,
I believe is fifty dollars, so it's not too bad.
But it is just something I think Diehard's rolling and get.
So we're not gonna talk about it too much, but
it is Nintendo going in a step towards the right
direction of having multiplayer. It's still not as simplified as
other things, but it's getting there. It's a lot like
(20:56):
how we're doing Discord right now, where Kevin can share
his videos and I can share my them and vice versa. Uh,
It's okay, we're getting there, baby. But besides that, obviously
the system will be one hundred and twenty hurts, so
I know that's a little bit of in the weeds thing.
Game's gonna look good, hyr is gonna look colorful, and
(21:16):
the screen will be ten ADP. It'll be seven point
nine inches instead of six inches if you've got the
base Nintendo switch, which is great. Bigger looks great, and
it can go up to four K on your if
you dock it, which is really dope.
Speaker 3 (21:31):
And that's where it all is right now. Is four
K take the ten ADP one hundred and twenty hurts.
I think it hurts as if you're a computer or
that it's ram speed basically just scream refresh rate fresh
really fast. Doesn't look look like all dotty were playing
like a fast paced game. I really, I'm not gonna
buy this thing when I'm probably not gonna go to
(21:52):
reserveon either, but I can seem to get one of
these year two layer three because this is kind of
what I was looking for in a switch because Madonna
has a switch switch light and it's cool, but it's
just something in there that's stopping me from going in
all and all in with it.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
It feels toy. It feels toy to you. And that's
what kind of the switch light is to a degree,
to be a little more accessible towards kids. This is
definitely this is daddy's console. You know, you have switch light,
but Daddy's got switched to you know, you know what
has kids like like.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
A mon that gaming age. I wonder if number one
how long I keep selling tell them the first switch
one and number two, how many people are gonna be like, yeah,
the switch is for the kids, Switch to is for
the adults.
Speaker 1 (22:34):
For us, you'll touchdown the kids are heart you know
what I'm saying. Yeah, interesting thing to the joy Cons.
Like I said, they're magnetic. You can do a mouse
control with it, which I know they showed Metroid Prime
beyond which you could like like a normal game like
you would use the thumbsticks. You can use the joy
Con in mouse mode to kind of change your field
(22:57):
of view, which is kind of cool. Beyond that kind
of you like to switch, get it better. Obviously, there's
some worlds and twirls in it that we improve. Speakers, cool,
great love. You know it's gonna be either connected by TV.
Are gonna have headphones on it?
Speaker 3 (23:11):
You know. I almost kind of a waste that they
came out with a way to cut to your TV wildlessly,
kind of like you do with your phone. I know
they would have probably.
Speaker 1 (23:18):
Made well that's what people thought the c was gonna be,
that was gonna be cast, but it was it was
chatting instead.
Speaker 3 (23:26):
But either way, I think this is going to be
a win for Nintendo. I really do, because now you'll
get thee the die hard Nintendo Mikes of the world.
You're going to get this, but they also had to
say for to turn the game of bros who just
want to play Call of Duty, they want to play
all ultriple a titles, this can do it.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
Yeah, And that's the cool thing, Like really it it's saying,
you know, we're gonna have elevant ring on this game.
We're gonna have an exclusive from software game on this console,
and it's well, hopefully it looks good. You know, it
looks good in the trailer, so that's all we can
base it on right now. But like we're putting that
on here, w W. Two k's coming back on here
(24:04):
after it's failed attempt on two K eighteen, which your
boy bought and it was not good. So like this console,
I think, to me, this there does seem it is
to to the the level of not quite an Xbox
Series AX, but it's getting there, which is really good,
like an Xbox one X, not a Series X, but
(24:25):
a one X.
Speaker 3 (24:27):
It can also reminds me of all those third party
Steam decks that we have and you can get some
from me by a couple of different people now, and
they're pretty solid machines. This feels like they took what
they did Nintendo wise, it made it even better for
Nintendo tendal efficiency and I hate to say that they
may put them out of the water, honestly. I mean,
and you can still play any game you wont on
(24:48):
the Steam machine, but he can't play the tendle games you.
Speaker 1 (24:50):
Can't play can't play.
Speaker 3 (24:53):
I think.
Speaker 1 (24:53):
The other cool thing is like they're advertising you can
play Cyberpunk on this like and granted, you know we
Cyberpunk was on Xbox One un technically, but like it's
the complete edition of Cyberpunk twenty seventy seven, which is
really tope that. Like, you know, if this is the
concert you're gonna have and you can't afford you don't
want to do a Steam deck of PC stuff, this
is perfect for you.
Speaker 3 (25:14):
Again, on the Steam Deck, I have to say he
has to be a nerd to use it, but it
kind of have to be know what you're doing in
us it you can really ruin that thing up if
you don't know what you're doing. But with a Nintendo
it's kind kind of compared to Apple. Let's just plug
and play. Basically, open a box and play. There's not
much you have to do to set it up.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
Honestly, yeah, but overall really dope. I think for me,
I know Kevin said he's gonna wait. I think if
I can get a pre order in a game Stop locally, yes,
I just think I don't want to deal with scalpers
online stuff because we know how that goes. I want
to do traditional then go to game Stop, put my
twenty dollars in, and then if I have the money
and then around, I'll pay the rest off that one
(25:51):
that week it comes out. But I think right now
it is a waiting game because the only game well,
I mean, obviously there's other games you can play on
Switch anything from a Switch. They did announce GameCube finally
is coming Nintend to Switch Online, so I think Higher
Wind Waker and Soul Caliber two are gonna be available
(26:12):
with that on launch. But then they're gonna add Pokemon
costsee in which that's what we wanted, you know, on
GameCube Super Mario Sunshine Shrikers, which is really dope. But
on launch, the only games play a bowl exclusively for
Switch Too will be Mario Kart World and the Switch
to upgrades of Breath the Wild and Tiers of the Kingdom.
(26:33):
They haven't said how much those will cost. Will probably
cost you like twenty bucks. But Mario Kart World talk
about that specifically looks dope as hell. Like keV said,
it is the modern Mario Kart game. It has kind
of got a little bit of like a Gumball Expert
or mode into it, very influenced from Fortsa and the
Crew of Hey, race is over, but you got a
(26:54):
race to the next race, and there's a little bit
of like not a battle riale, but like, oh, if
you're eighth, you don't get the race in this next race.
You gotta be one through eight.
Speaker 3 (27:04):
Yeah, do that. And I actually played the crew and
I actually enjoyed it, but it didn't have that I'm
looking forward that had that come back ability to it,
like don't I don't play anymore. But now I'm like,
Mario Kart, Yes, just do this all day.
Speaker 1 (27:20):
Hell yeah, bab give it to me this all day.
And I think the cool thing is like for you, keV,
obviously you gotta get your fan switched to is there
is sort of a free mode essentially where you can
just drive around as Mario or Princess Peach and if
you have friends that are also doing it, you can
just hang out. Let's Hey, let's get on toad Highway
(27:43):
and just hang out baby, you know, stake some photos.
You know it's chilling for toads man. Yeah, but those
are things at launch. So if you obviously are guinea
one at launch, you gotta be very Mario Karpas because
we know the next game really will be Donkey Kong
Bonanza keyword influence on the Banana Banana Bonanza, which will
(28:05):
be the finally the next standalone three D platformer for
Donkey Kong. Think Super Mario Odyssey. Donkey Kong's getting that
shine that comes out July seventeenth. You got about a
month of Mario Kart before you got your next big
thing with Donkey Kong.
Speaker 3 (28:20):
What's okay? What's the one on sixty four?
Speaker 1 (28:22):
Wasn't It was like the last one they've had don
Kong Country and don Kong Country Returns and Tropical Freeze,
but that hasn't been a really big, like like a
three D platform or one where you can go wherever
and go on on a venture and all that good stuff.
So it is cool to see this. Obviously, Donkey Kong
looks more like the movie, and a lot of people
are like, but it looks it looks cool. I think
(28:44):
it is. It is a little more. You gotta be
into Donkey Kong. I feel like there's always that like
barrier of like, oh I love everyone loves Mario, but
not everybody loves Donkey Kong.
Speaker 3 (28:53):
You know, I can say, and that put the last
fey one with d K sixty four? Do you remember
that green sixty four to have stores? H But I
can say, uh, I'm older, older than you. Super Nintendo
Dun Kong Country. I think that was my entry to
become like a hardcore gamer. It was that game because
I don't know for some reason, I don't know what
my mom did, but like maybe like a month two
(29:15):
much before the game came up, we got like a
making of videotape in the mail and we watched it.
I was still high for the game I got on Christmas.
That's all I did for like three months. Yeah, So
in fact, that that's my that's my entry into hardcore
console gaming with Dunk Kung Country the first one.
Speaker 1 (29:29):
But overall a great first presentation. Obviously they didn't get
all the details out right now, which is why we're
all kind of.
Speaker 3 (29:36):
Like, what's going on?
Speaker 1 (29:37):
Tell me, what's the actual price? And all this good stuff.
But we do have a Mario Kart direct and next
week or sometime this later this month, and two Treehouse presentations,
which is kind of their E three style of here's
a game, let's tell you what this game is, why
you need to play it. I obvious, See Nintendo is
always weird. Uh. The main facts, like I said, June fifth,
(29:57):
is when the when the console comes out with with
more Mario Kart four forty nine for base model, with
Mario Karts four ninety nine, that's the one you want
to get. Preutters go up. April ninth, Oh, Kevin, and
I hearing you. What did you say?
Speaker 3 (30:12):
I'm sorry the first Switch didn't come out pre or
post pandemic.
Speaker 1 (30:16):
Pre or pre pandemic. It was twenty seventeen. Yeah, cause
I feel like I.
Speaker 3 (30:22):
Don't remember them being like a shortage of them, like
it was a PS five.
Speaker 1 (30:26):
They're I don't think there was one if I remember,
but I think it was a different time because I
think twenty seventeen was right before the air of scalpers
really taking over everything. You know, obviously, like you hear
the tales of the Wii and people fighting for a Wii.
But now we're in the air of Pokemon cards. We're
(30:47):
in a video game systems of like chips shortages obviously
cause the pandemic, and that people couldn't get these things.
I think it might have been switched O LED or
switched light that had the chip shortage too during the pandemic.
I'm not sure, but it'll be interesting to see. Obviously,
Nintendo is trying to curb scalpers by saying, hey, you
(31:09):
can only get one pre order route one through our
website if you have a Nintendo account and you've played
a Nintendo Switch game in the last twelve months. So
there you go.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
A little bit that because so Sonny was like me
the other for being your Yeah, basically, but.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
I know game Stop and Best Buy are kind of
like it is what it is. It can't curb what happens.
But Game Stop makes it seem like I can once
again go like back in the old days, go up
to the store, say here's twenty dollars for that and
I'll pay the rest later.
Speaker 3 (31:41):
And I still get that, and they still do that,
And I'm just hoping we are pretty far away moved
from the pandemic, even though the crazy man's doing crazy
things right now with tariffs. I'm hoping that there's enough
product out there where it's not just like people don't
get one twenty on June, gotta wait till September, you
(32:01):
know what I mean, Like a yeah, PlayStation at that time.
Speaker 1 (32:04):
Yeah, but overall exciting and I know it's a quick overview. Obviously,
more do more details as we learn more things over
the weekend, but we do, Kevin, have more to talk about.
Because you thought Nintendo was the only talk of the
town this week, Well you'll be happy to know, Flip
flip baby, because we're sating for Spider Man movies for
the next few years. Spot may spat Maya Man.
Speaker 3 (32:31):
Four and be on these spat main spat MA.
Speaker 1 (32:36):
So, Kevin, what happened at CinemaCon this week? CinemaCon in
case you didn't know, which usually we have a deep
dive on, but there's just so much news this week,
so it's all getting kind of short change with each other. Uh.
Cinema Con is usually a big sort of E three
conference where movie companies present to movie theaters. Hey, these
are the movies we have coming out the rest of
this year, or we have coming out slated and then
(32:58):
sending up to the movie companies like a god, AMC.
You'd be like, all right, we're gonna give you five
theaters or something for that movie later in the summer.
But Kevin, what happened in the Spider Man Sony conference?
Speaker 3 (33:08):
Essentially during the Sony conference, director does so that's destined day, Oh,
that's destin. Daniel Curtain came out and announced that Spider
Man for has been especially officially titled spider Man Brand
New Day.
Speaker 1 (33:23):
That dope.
Speaker 3 (33:25):
Actually Tom Holland will be back because then we'll be back,
of course, And right now they're going over everything. They're
gont to how to how to, how to suit. We'll
look how he swings. Remember this, this will be the
first movie whereas it's not, you know, known who Peter Parker.
Nobody knows who Peter Parker is. Literally nobody knows who
he is. He's been wiping from everybody's memory. So it's
(33:47):
really exciting to see that we finally have a name
for it. I means the script's been proved. It means
all I gotta do is start filming this thing soon.
We'll have it next literally next year. I think it's
kind of crazy. Next year.
Speaker 1 (33:55):
What happens the movie literally like, yeah, you know, sorry,
July twenty six. July thirty first, twenty twenty six le
like two months, which we always love a Spider Man
movie right after a big old Avengers movie.
Speaker 3 (34:06):
You know. Basically, I think the last few been in July,
haven't they?
Speaker 1 (34:11):
Usually Spider Man movies are in July. Yeah, no, way,
home was December. I remember.
Speaker 3 (34:18):
Yeah, I think you're right. December.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
You're right, just because it was a Christmas movie. Not really,
it was just said during like the winter all at
the end of his winter holidays. It's fine, but yeah,
brand New Day is really dope, Kevin. Do you know
what brand New Day is?
Speaker 3 (34:33):
I know it's a song that's called Lovely Day, but
I'm not sure.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
The so you know nothing at all? Right, you knew
a lovely Day, and that's what Kevin's gonna call this
movie from now on. So Brand New Day is kind
of a more recent comic run. In the Spider Man
cons I've just learned this just because I would see
the news. In it, we find out Pete deals with
Mephisto and essentially gives up Mary and Mary Jane people
(34:58):
knowing him and all that stuff. Essentially a good parallel
of what happened with obviously Pete in the movies, making
everyone forget who he is really dope. Obviously there's some
characters in there that might pop up in this. We
do know Sadie sinc is confirmed, but not confirmed at
the same time in the movie of who she's gonna play,
whether it's Jean Gray or like we said, it's fire
(35:21):
Star or whatever her name was, or Flicia Hardy. But
I think great title for this. I think the stunts
are gonna look dope because that's Daniel Crettin and he
did Shunk Chi, so it's gonna be great. But overall,
and that's all we really know was a title, and uh,
it still has excited just as excited.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
I'm also hoping that some death destiny that credit is
doing the movie, that there's a part of this movie
where Spider Man can't beat somebody because there's a run
the combook line where Shunk. She actually teaches Spider Man
the way of the Spiders. A cameo showed up and
showed him how to Actually, I'm down can fight, of
course because he's Spider Man. He's super strong spider sense,
but just know how to fight, you know what.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
I mean, not to really fight, you know what I'm saying,
kind of like an.
Speaker 3 (36:01):
Iron Man to a twenty learned how to learn how
to box for like, you know, five minutes to fight.
Speaker 1 (36:07):
Interesting? Uh? And then on top of that, Kevin, when
the animated version of Spider Man, we finally finally have what.
Speaker 3 (36:17):
I got a date for it, but it's a long away.
I'm not happy about what, Kevin though, you're teasing us. Sorry,
spider Man Beyond the Spider Verse finally gets the June
twenty twenty seven release.
Speaker 1 (36:29):
Hell yeah, well we got only had to wait four years, right.
Speaker 3 (36:35):
In twenty twenty seven. I have a fifth grader, I'm
not prepared man.
Speaker 1 (36:38):
She can go see Spider Man Beyond the Spider Verse
and pay for her ticket.
Speaker 3 (36:42):
As a matter of fact, I have a fifth grader
in a pre kicke in a PreO, and she also
can pay for her ticket to go see Spider Man
Beyond the Spider Verse in theaters June twenty twenty seven.
But yeah, I mean, we got the date. I can't
remember what year the last one came out with twenty
twenty two.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
I think it was twenty twenty three, but Across the
Spider Verses twenty twenty three. Yeah, five years, four years. Yeah, yeah,
it's a long time to movies. But here's the thing,
because Into the Spider Verse came out in twenty eighteen,
so that was five years. So technically this is shorter.
(37:22):
It just feels longer because we had a cliffhanger, Indy
with Across the Spider.
Speaker 3 (37:26):
Sanger of a movie we were promised we're making at
the same time. I mean, remember, didn't.
Speaker 1 (37:30):
Lie to it, but yeah, I mean, it sucks. We
gotta wait so long. It makes sense though, because look,
we have another Spider Man movie next year, so it
can't come out next year oddly enough, you know, back
to back years and then hopefully twenty twenty eight would
get Insomnia Spider Man video game or Wolverine or something
(37:53):
by then. But this will follow Avengers Secret Wars most
likely if it comes out in May twenty twenty seven,
like it's supposed to as of right now. So once
two punches of here's Marvel and here's Spider Man movies.
Here's Marvel, Here's Spider Man movie.
Speaker 3 (38:11):
And we've gone what almost seven years since the last
Avengers movie as well, so I get maybe maybe it's
just because Spider Man Across Spider Verse was so good,
was so good and that cliffhanger ending, but we've been
sitting there now.
Speaker 1 (38:27):
Yeah, well, and here's the thing. Don't watch Across the
Spider Verse until maybe the end, until we get a
trailer for this movie, because you're just be like, what's next.
I kind of wait two years still, how we've been
doing it for the past two years already.
Speaker 3 (38:39):
Basically, I have a out of friends who a Comico
fans haven't seen that movie yet, and I'm just like,
just wait till Wahington two years.
Speaker 1 (38:46):
Yourself off watching that. But yeah, so we know June fourth,
twenty twenty seven is the release date as of right now,
which can always change. We know that Bob per Shit
Percietti and Justin K. Thompson will be directing the movie
movie obviously, Phil Lord Chris Miller will be doing the script,
and they'll also be producing it as well. Obviously we
(39:07):
assume the same talent will be there. Then list off.
You know, here's everyone who's been it, but you can
safe to assume all the same characters in it. There'll
be more. It really was just stills that were shown,
so nothing new footagey wise, more than concept art really,
but overall like it's gonna be a banger summer Summer
(39:28):
twenty twenty seven.
Speaker 3 (39:30):
To make Moreganna be like almost a thirty five year
old man when this comes out.
Speaker 1 (39:33):
M hmmmm hmm. He will be the old guy. Old man,
will be an old man. But yeah, overall excited. I
think it. Sony really can just do that, and we
don't need to hear anything else obviously, Uh, just kind
of quick hitting cinema con news. We did get john
Wick five will be happening, There'll be a spin another
spin off movie. He's getting a prequel animated movie as well,
(39:53):
so the Lions Gates doubling down on the john Wick stuff.
And I think Wicked for Good aka Wicked two is
supposed beginning a trailer at some point this week. Hopefully
we get to talk about it on Monday.
Speaker 3 (40:04):
Yeah wow, because I think if I remember, we're kind
I read the popscription on on Wikipedia. I believe Wendy
is it Wendy No, Dorothy is in the second part
of Wicked. We'll find I wonder who actually has to
play her?
Speaker 1 (40:19):
You will find out, Kevin, because I'm not exactly sure,
and I won't know until we find out what this trailer.
And I mean it makes sense if the movie's coming
out this November, that around now when you would have
a teaser trailer if anything, to just be like, oh,
it's coming.
Speaker 3 (40:36):
We're closer than remember we did. We realize it's far away,
but it's not that far away.
Speaker 1 (40:40):
Yeah, it's true. That is true, Kevin. And then obviously
it was doubling down on legend of Zelda the movies
coming out in twenty twenty seven as well, So it's
gonna be stack time.
Speaker 3 (40:49):
Question about that. I don't think we've heard Zelda talks.
Was that horrible CD ROM game in the mid nineties.
Speaker 1 (40:56):
Link, sir, Link, get your names right. We heard Zelda
talk a lot in Tears of the Kingdom. Link he
talk to you, Link.
Speaker 3 (41:06):
What do you think Link sounds like.
Speaker 1 (41:08):
Like, well, it depends on what actor we're about to get,
and they're about to set the tone for what Link
will sound for the next generation. Because Donkey Kong and
Donkey Kong Bananza sounds a lot closer to Seth Rogan
than he used to.
Speaker 3 (41:19):
So because I feel like Link makes sound like she's
the name of that guy from say Things every horror movie.
Speaker 1 (41:27):
Fin Will Part.
Speaker 3 (41:29):
I feel like fin Will Part is a good you know,
golden yeah looking sound like.
Speaker 1 (41:35):
And so this we're kind of a little late on
this just because this is how news went with us,
but we know March twenty six, twenty twenty, when the
movies come out, then announce any casting. But yeah, they
got to cast the right actors for this movie because like, yeah,
like Link goes yeah, yeah, like the whole time. That's
that's a that's a choice. But if Link's talking, you
(41:56):
got to get the right actor and it can't like
if it's Tom Holland maybe maybe I wanted to be Batista. Yeah, yeah.
Interesting thing though we did find out through kind of
the CinemaCon Grape Finds is that it will be it
will be supposed to be a trilogy, so Triforce obviously
(42:19):
if that makes sense, the doubling down on that or
tripling down on that.
Speaker 3 (42:22):
But I mean, if they do Letton Zelda correctly, it
could be basically like a family friendly, more more more
accessible Order to Ring and Slash Game of Thrones. It's
a medieval fantasy.
Speaker 1 (42:38):
They didn't say if it's animated or if it's live action.
I don't believe, but we'll find out. I think. I mean,
I would think if you do live action, that's a
lot of money. I mean animated probably just as much money, but.
Speaker 3 (42:50):
But a lot of you get to do.
Speaker 1 (42:51):
It will look crazy, though it would look cool, like,
oh my god, they may not happen, all right, Sure
they made the Great Deco tree happen. It's a real tree.
Oh my god, it's the tree from Animal Kingdom. Who
be canadorf Brian Cranston, You're welcome, But Kevin, that's off
(43:12):
the near or far future. But in the near future, Kevin,
we had to go to Reaction Theater because we have
to look at the new trailer and break down the
trailer for Star Wars Tales of the Underworld took a
little bit how to get there. That's okay, we're there now.
So Kevin has not seen this trailer, but kind of
(43:35):
it's been a tradition now for Star Wars kind of
almost every year now to do a tails sort of
mini series. We had Tails of the Jedi, we had
Tales of the Sith I believe was the last one,
and now we have Tales of the Underworld. It's going
to be May fourth six original shorts, so kind of
like fifteen to twenty five minutes in length. Kevin, you
(43:55):
ready to watch it?
Speaker 3 (43:57):
I'm ready to excited, all right?
Speaker 1 (43:58):
Three two one star Wars twang. Just do as I say.
It's not Yoda. Never can be too cautious with strangers
out here. It's getting You're no stranger who boots on
(44:20):
the ground, lady, let in dress alien. She's still we
got a problem here.
Speaker 3 (44:30):
Just saw him right after.
Speaker 1 (44:33):
May fourth green text. Oh ah, lady, Well lady, what's
the situation? Lady? He was your best friend? Changed you
talked of everything from me can take from me? Who
(44:55):
are you?
Speaker 3 (44:56):
I was Count de cous Lean assassin?
Speaker 1 (44:59):
Yellow lightsaber again? I love that.
Speaker 2 (45:01):
I don't want that life anymore.
Speaker 1 (45:03):
Really make that yellow lightsaber shine? M the lady, Oh inquisitive,
That the real inquisitive. Hmm, we've seen that before. No
one needs to die a little later. Hell ye.
Speaker 3 (45:34):
Have my favor do okay?
Speaker 1 (45:38):
H m hmm.
Speaker 3 (45:43):
That's great.
Speaker 1 (45:46):
That that shot. Now, I'm like, hell yeah, that's got
the colorful on my TV. This revenge I hope was
worth it. It will be later. Hell yeah, hell yeah,
give me this now. At four May fourth. It's only
(46:09):
a month away, Kevin, So I want it now. But
in case you didn't watch the trailer or hear anything,
and we heard our little learner, cad Bane and Venturous
will be sort of the focus points of this series.
I know, Tails of the Jedi it was Ah Soka
Qui gone technically, Slash Douku was kind of Tales of
the Jedi and sorry hoop. Yeah, yeah, Yattle was in
(46:36):
the like the Douku stuff too, Tales. I think it
was Tails of the Empire, not Tales the Sith. It
really was. Barrass Offy was kind of like the main
character through that. Yeah, which is really dope too. This really,
like I said, two main characters we've kind of known
and loved since the Clone Wars that popped up in Rebels.
They've popped up in Bad Batch. I assume this is
(46:57):
closer to a New Hope than obviously Clone Wars. So
just seeing what's happening with these characters, getting them posted up.
This a cad Bane to where he pops up and
boke a Bobbafet and seeing where Ventris's journey just takes her,
you know.
Speaker 3 (47:12):
Thing, because we haven't gotten any new Star Wars since
Skeleton Crew feels like eightes ago, but it probably was
a month and a half ago, probably.
Speaker 1 (47:20):
Yeah, yeah, I mean it was essentially like a year ago, really,
but we know obviously Star Wars celebrations happening later this month.
They do have a panel announcing the next Star Wars series,
So it is kind of cool that they're giving us
this as breadcrumbs, and it's like, hey, we got something
else cooking on the books. But I think it's cool.
Obviously the tea up. Potentially another Jedi character or someone
(47:42):
who's forced sensitive will who survive, will find out Cadbane
we know survives, and I'll just be interested see what
situations she gets in. But this just proves Star Wars
animated Star Wars. Star Wars is at its best when
it's animated, just based alone on how the graphics look
on this damn show compared to like fifteen years ago.
Speaker 3 (48:01):
You know, there are a lot of Star Wars purists
and what I would call original Childrea fans that tolerate
animated Star Wars.
Speaker 1 (48:10):
I'm like, you guys don't know, you don't know.
Speaker 3 (48:11):
I don't know how good it can really be when
you watch clor Wars in order when you watch Rebels,
all the all of these series, even Bad Batch to
a degree, animated Star Wars is so much fun and
it just looks like it's taken right off where the
last last one was, Like you said, it was Tales
of the Part last year, right, yes, yeah, and that
(48:32):
was great. Tell has been great. Even the last couple
episodes of the Bad Batch were really good. So, like
I said, I'm just I have it now one.
Speaker 1 (48:40):
Now, but yeah, so, and all of them will come
out on May fourth, se can Bingebatch Mode will probably
just do a big review and May four, May fourth Sunday,
so we'll probably do a review on the Wednesday Thursday
after because that's a lot to watch on one day
but exciting times. And yeah, I think you know it's
who doesn't want to watch Star Wars on me fourth
(49:00):
and gives you something new to watch on me forth
on top of watching and or this month which comes
out next week or in two weeks.
Speaker 3 (49:05):
Oh my god, thank god. I have a Star Wars
sized hole in my heart right now.
Speaker 1 (49:11):
It's about to be filled. It's about to be real field.
But Kevin, we can switch on back over to the
normal view of the podcast because it's time to break down. Yep,
we got one more breakdown the latest episode of Daredevil
Born Again, episode seven, So let's get on into it.
(49:34):
Hell yeah, brother, it was good. It was real good.
Speaker 3 (49:37):
It was really good. I did my best trying to
review the last episodes on an episode on Sunday, but
I just got distracted.
Speaker 1 (49:44):
That's okay, you're playing WW two K taking your family
to mute Needed Promised Land. Essentially I'll getting beat up, Like,
hold on, guys, hold on, wait a second. Now, let
me focus in on this.
Speaker 3 (49:57):
You calm down. Aw a member, I don't know what
your name is.
Speaker 1 (49:59):
Got that is true. Now, technically I would say this
doesn't give us a lot kind of We've kind of
had the past few episodes of just like, oh my god,
I'm doing all this. There's characters, here's t's, here's cameos.
But this definitely was let's move the plot forward on
this season of the show and not set up other
things like special presentations or one offs, because Art for
(50:21):
Art's sake really focused in on everybody zeroing in on
Muse and the aftermath or sort of immediate aftermath of that.
Speaker 3 (50:33):
Yeah, I've been saying for a while, for a while.
For this last week, the shot of Daredevil running down
that train, that the train tunnel after him is one
of the most ore field scenes I've ever seen in MCU.
It was amazing, and I feel like him running into
this episode, that momental kept with it because when his
name was Bash and Cooper, it was in session with
(50:56):
his with his therapist. Man, I was something, Oh my gosh,
I know I've been saying, maybe Muse is uh the
Kingpin's helper, or maybe Muse is actually his therapist.
Speaker 1 (51:06):
It was not. It was not.
Speaker 3 (51:10):
It was the simplest thing. It was that guy that
we saw in that episode one, and it was still
just like, oh my gosh, yeah, get him out of there,
get him out of there.
Speaker 1 (51:16):
Yeah. And obviously this is light spoilers because this episode
there wasn't a lot of like, oh my god, like
got breakdown moments of stuff like that happened, but it
was very like, all right, let's get Daredevil set up
to confront or Fish massing more too ready to confront Daredevil.
In the next final two episodes we have of this season,
which is wild that's in two weeks. In the next
(51:36):
two weeks, two weeks.
Speaker 3 (51:38):
Left for the show. And also the funny thing too
about what the episode opened up is that I was
Matts in the shower washing the boat off his body
because he's gotten to a huge flight with Mews. And
right after that he's talking to was his girlfriend, the therapist, and.
Speaker 1 (51:54):
He got in the shower, well in the shower. Then
they go out, and let me tell you, that was
a that was a hot scene. And I'm talking about
the water temperature and that the water.
Speaker 3 (52:05):
He haw things to take care of square away on
the shower, the shower, but then well she asks him,
what happened to you? Why are you so rackety? Why
you know, buddy? Who are back the line? I went
out last night, I felt something about the fall, like
dang man, it's just like I had you put on,
you know.
Speaker 1 (52:21):
And it is interesting too because something we haven't this,
we haven't dealt with this character doing that in forever,
just since he's been on the Netflix show, because everyone's
known he's Daredevil, and it's like, wait, Cherry is the
only one who knows he's Daredevil. That's in and obviously Fisk,
but like everyone else doesn't. He has to do this
secret anemity and it pays off later this episode when
(52:43):
Heather is like, yeah, anyone who wears a mask is
a cow and like lot'll get to that. Don't worry,
Like he.
Speaker 3 (52:52):
Told Cherry, like listen, look him for this guy forever
I found him in one night. It makes someone sense
like we kind of need its antis even in this world.
I'm not even gonna go with anything larger than the
street level, but we think horrible thing horrible things happened
per snatchers and you know, carjackers. If there was a
threat that some guy in a cape with a batter
(53:12):
ring and a rock and power car could getch you,
we wouldn't do that.
Speaker 1 (53:15):
Well, we don't want any part of that. But yeah,
I mean this episode, really we see everyone's tracking down
where Muses. We see that by the law by the book,
Detective Antie Kim is actually you know, meeting with Fisks
see what he wants to do. She goes to Muses
layer to look for evidence. But then it is we
see the Punisher cops starting to get some influence and
(53:37):
going in and out of the crime scene and following
Fisks sort of leads they shouldn't have U and Daredevil
just you know, being vigilante, breaking into places and sing
I'm gonna bust names and take take asses later, don't what.
Speaker 3 (53:51):
Wrong way anyway. I thought the punny part though, was
when the one cop was like saw him investigating Bastion's layer.
He goes hey like, shut.
Speaker 1 (54:01):
Up, not yet, I'll talk to you eliter or not.
Speaker 3 (54:07):
Take a nap, You're good, I don't know. Also one
of us out of the episode two what the Kingpin
of Vanessa stuff was really good too.
Speaker 1 (54:14):
And we're really seeing that those two characters like they're
not agreeing, they're not coming together. They've been circling and
not finding that meeting point. And it looks like at
this episode where we see that Vanessa gives Luca, the
sort of corrupt underling a Fisk, the go ahead to
kill him get shot, and Fish is like, tell my wife,
I'll be home, Like, oh, he knows she sent him.
Speaker 3 (54:37):
So do you think that was a trap set up
by Vanessa to get rid of him because you're not
tell the child anyway, or do you think she was
like I want to be Kingpin again, but I gotta
get rid of the old Kingpin first.
Speaker 1 (54:49):
I think that is Vanessa wanting Fisk to be the
old Fisk. Obviously he he does it. I mean he does,
but he doesn't. And it's Fisk realizing like, I know
what's going on in my house even though you don't
think I do know what's going on.
Speaker 3 (55:03):
It was so smooth the way I can't remember the
guy's name. He was like, thanks, thanks, Brian, it was
so smooth.
Speaker 1 (55:08):
Way, Yeah, you appreciate you. I love it. That's why
I actually here. Baby. We're also seeing you know in
this episode, Gandal feeni kind of thinking like I got
the boss, so, like you, I can't be touched BB,
I'm gonna threaten you to do what we want, or
because I think I'm safe, probably find out he is.
I have a feeling we're gonna get there. He's gonna
be thought thrown into the wolves.
Speaker 3 (55:31):
I feel like when everything goes down from his administration
as mayor, he's gonna be the scapegoat.
Speaker 1 (55:38):
Yeah, that's that's a good like I had no idea
he was.
Speaker 3 (55:43):
Yeah, he's been fired now and he's been prosecuted to
the folks under the law like that kind of thing.
But I didn't like about wave between my girl BB.
I like her. She's cool.
Speaker 1 (55:52):
Yeah, come on, man, And ultimately we do get to
the fight. Like like have said, Muses holding to Hather hostage,
Daredevil buston, he go toe to toe of Muse. I
did love the little like he's the grapple hook to
like pull. It's kind of scorpy get over here back,
which was dope Baltimately, as Heather finds Mus's gun, shoots
him dead.
Speaker 3 (56:12):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (56:12):
We think she's about to die, but Daredevil saves her,
bounces out and is where fists says, oh no, it
was the Punisher cops that saved Heather and killed Mws
and they're gonna be the ones that bring justice to
the Shade and all this good stuff. They didn't. But
we cut to the hospital. Heather is alive, Matt's there,
and she tells Matt, you know Daredevil said my name,
(56:34):
you're like wepe. She's on the hunt. Now that she
knows it's probably him.
Speaker 3 (56:39):
She's gonna figure it out. She's gonna be Actually, it's funny,
I'll say then this reference.
Speaker 1 (56:44):
She's gonna be the.
Speaker 3 (56:46):
She what was her name? Give me a second, I
gotta look it up now, d what was her name?
Speaker 1 (56:55):
Electra?
Speaker 3 (56:57):
She's gonna be the Chaseman ready and to Valcamera's Batman
Devin Forever.
Speaker 1 (57:00):
Okay, good reference, good reference right now.
Speaker 3 (57:02):
I like it, like whatever her name rp Volcam about oh,
because I feel like once she figures out that he's Daredevil,
it's going to trigger even more. As a therapist.
Speaker 1 (57:11):
He's like, wait a minute, this, let me talk to you.
And she did kind of let me talk to you.
She did go into that a little bit in the
beginning of this episode, and I think you're right, she'll
double down as soon as she does know that.
Speaker 3 (57:23):
And also, going going back to the fight, I'm happy
they took the time to explain who that guy was
while he's still getting fighting. You talking champions a kid.
That makes sense because they're there's no way in the
world to be that good fight against.
Speaker 1 (57:35):
Okay, he took taekwondo for two weeks. He knows this stuff,
you know, and it makes even.
Speaker 3 (57:40):
More so because he's still basically like a kid. He
probably wasn't no more than like what you think it
was the early twenties.
Speaker 1 (57:44):
You think, yeah, something like that.
Speaker 3 (57:47):
Master been fighting forever, so he has more experience a fighter,
even though he's no taekwondo. His more experiences of fighters,
and he's going to win any treat fight against anybody,
even there trained, it's been doing it longer.
Speaker 1 (57:56):
Yeah, overall, I like this probably wasn't my favorite some
of the ones we've had, but it was good, and
it was good to sort of we all thought Muse
was at one point gonna be the overarching villain. They're
gonna save Kingpin, but I think and Kingpin's gonna escape
by the end this season, but him as being the
main villain will be over and he'll be more of
a side villain we deal with in the next season,
(58:18):
kind of like Daredevil. I believe season two was Punisher.
Speaker 3 (58:21):
I think it's either gonna be that or I think
it's gonna be there. There's also another compook run where
Wilson Fish basically exposes everything about Matt Murdoch does all
this kind of stuff and he takes everything from him,
and when he does that, Matt becomes basically basically a
Daredevil and he beats welcome into a pulpit, like you
took everything from me.
Speaker 1 (58:42):
I mean, And maybe that's something we do at the
end of the season, because that would see up a
good next season.
Speaker 3 (58:47):
It wouldn't it really would, and we have like the
think of bulls, I mean just made in jail, yes,
and I do think that's coming around because they have
been teasing.
Speaker 1 (58:56):
Some images of him with a tooth missing, which is
iconic thing in the Daredevil Collins I found out, and.
Speaker 3 (59:02):
Also that there was a story about him making making
his own team. We got introduced to Kamalin's dad and
maybe that comes to fruition. I still will love him
to bring either in the character that we saw in
Spider Man front of him, a Spider Man that character
if she shows up at some point, if either his
(59:23):
sister or his Hector's daughter Hector's niece becomes White Tiger
uh huh, or if maybe she thought but I would.
I'd love to see him bring another character in for
next season, kind of as like kind of like a mentor.
Speaker 1 (59:36):
I think you will. I think at this point, I
mean obviously Punisher and kind of Electra. We're kind of
that in the Netflix series to a degree. Not really
they were more antagonists that they worked alongside each other
and all that good stuff, and we had defenders. But
I think having someone who is under Matt and not
like fighting him most of the time, and an equal
or better than him will be a cool dynamic. It
(59:58):
just depends really, Like obviously Angie or Angela sorry is
as Hector's nieces, that would be the White Tiger is
the closest one to being an apprentice like that, So
we'll find Yeah, also, we'll.
Speaker 3 (01:00:11):
Love to see if you get a scene next season
or the end of this season and walking down the
street with his girlfriend and then she season like, hey,
who's that hi girlfriend?
Speaker 1 (01:00:21):
See what you did there? But yeah, obviously we're loving
this years. We've got two more weeks of this and
then we'll have and or I think it's like the
twenty second I believe if I did the math right,
we'll get and or those first three episodes we have.
The last of Us comes out next week, so next
season two, so get them playthroughs in because I haven't.
(01:00:41):
And uh, it's gonna be interesting because I heard it
is a rough start, not like in a bad way,
but in a good way because of the story.
Speaker 3 (01:00:50):
Like, like I said, there is a Game of Thrones
red wedding style secret out there for people to just
watch the show. De Vito was just like, yeah, keep
watching me.
Speaker 1 (01:00:58):
I hope you love Patrick Pascal appreciate him. Now, that's
all I'm saying. That's four, baby, and that's four that's
a month after, So you don't gotta wait that long
or three months after, don't gotta wait that long. But

Daredevil Born again? Are your pre ordering a Nintendo switch
